Hi! i love your art! And I'm curious about something: what do you think of the staff? And which is your favorite?

thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE the staff, I wish we got to see more of them -- every once in a while we'll get a little side bit of them interacting with each other and it's always SO good. (for that and more proof that EHN is the best event, see: the teachers trying to hold their own Halloween party without Crowley noticing because they don't want to invite him. why was this one scene and not a long-spanning subplot like it deserved to be. we were robbed.)

I have probably made it pretty obvious which of the staff is my favorite, because I love characters who are huge morons who couldn't read a room if they had industrial-strength prescription glasses:

but I'm pretty fond of all of them! it takes a certain kind of person to work at NRC for more than five minutes. though I do think Trein is probably my second favorite? he LOVES his cat! he LOVES his wife! he LOVES history even though he is fed up with these teens and their wacky misadventures! also, I really want to hear the rest of his saucy makeout story. talk about dangling plot threads. 😔

genuinely we need more staff interactions in canon, there is so much untapped hilarity there I CAN FEEL IT

filipina miku!! my mom helped me with her outfit ^_^

#THIS TOOK ME FOREVER RAAHHHH #i had help from my mom with stuff like the parts of the traje de mestiza which is the outfit shes wearing #this trend looks so much fun and i wanted to join in.. im first gen canadian though so ive never been to the philippines and only #know thru stories of my parents growing up. im proud of my heritage but there are some things i didnt grow up with that #make me feel disconnected from my culture. so it was nice to talk to my mom abt it and ask for her help with this :3 #the pleated tapis is meant to resemble her skirt.. i had no way of adding her stockings but i noticed the piano key design #so i used that for the saya. the bandana is meant to resemble her hairties and shes wearing bakya wooden slippers with embroidery #i kinda wanted to add the panuelo to resemble her tie as a finishing touch but i forgor ;w; just imagine it i guess #my mom really likes this. shes a little confused abt the blue hair and i had to explain her hair is like that but she thinks shes pretty #originally i wanted her holding the woven pamaypay and fanning herself because ITS HOT ITS 25 FUCKING DEGREES TODAY #but i couldnt get the pose right so i settled for this. i wanna draw her and brazilian miku high fiving ill do that tmrw #my art #myart #hatsune miku #miku worldwide #philippines #vocaloid #miku

I always have a soft spot for characters who have a protective streak for another out of gratitude for their kindness towards them, but Charles’ protectiveness towards Edwin really hits a particular way because it’s so so apparent that it’s specifically about wanting Edwin to feel as safe and as comfortable around him as Edwin made Charles feel in his dying moments. I’m going to shatter like glass.

#and this is exactly why I think the cat king thing bothered Charles so much #‘why isn’t he talking to me? doesn’t he know ive got his back? what could be so bad that he wouldn’t tell me?’#and the devlin house completely uproots his sense of ‘goodness’ and makes it all compound into #‘maybe I’m not a good person and maybe that’s why I can’t help my friends properly’#:(#no further proof is needed that Edwin feels safest with Charles over anyone else #when his first reaction after finally figuring out his feelings for Charles is to immediately want to confess to him #even though he’s scared. he trusts Charles that much that he has to try and tell him right away.#gah. they’re so sweet.#dead boy detectives #charles rowland #edwin payne #storyrambles #dbda spoilers
