Hello!!! I've been reading ur jinwoo fanfics everyday bc I'm addicted hehe. But though I do have 1 question, and I'd respect any opinions. Do you think Cha Hae-in and our boy jinwoo is fated for e/o? Honestly speaking, she came out of nowhere.. I honestly thought him and his healer friend was gonna be together!(I forgot her name:() it would be cute and good dynamic to see them be together. Hey, Cha Hae-in is gorgeous she's a girlboss like slay. But he literally like ignored(?) or did not respect jinwoo until she found out he was strong. So in my opinion I think Jinwoo would look more good with his old healer friend☹️❤️‍🩹🫂 she looks like she was inlove with jinwoo too.. so I kinda feel bad for her. But I guess whatever makes jinwoo happy‼️ but what do you think?

They could've worked honestly. I get the allure of Power couple but on my personal preferrence i never rlly cared abt that kind of dynamic xD. Jinwoo and Hae-in's dynamic feel so sudden and uh forced? It's rllly jst random. But i never read the novel because im lazy and i read other novels. i heard they have more(?) chemistry there? Ik ppl will flame me for this but I rlly think its complete bullshit that such a wonderful and powerful woman like Cha Hae-in is reduced to just a trophy(by trophy I mean for the mc to get as a reward for his efforts. Hae-in feels like that even tho ik she's more than that, that's rlly how she was used in the plot im srry but i still love her to some degree) for Jinwoo. I heard in the anime they will make her have more personality? But so far all I've seen are jst plain fanservice (The fanservice also applies to Jinwoo //hello miner jinwoo but atleast we have more emotional development with him) Hae-in x Jinwoo for me is a mess. Could've worked but not developed right. As u said, yeah, she appeared out of nowhere. The healer named Juhee is where the real chemistry started really, I like their relationship because Juhee saw Jinwoo at his worst and I'm a sucker for dynamics where the love interest has seen the mc at his lowest point. Jinwoo had a chemistry with her that Hae-in didn't have qq. I wish Hae-in and Jinwoo had a proper development, but for me Juhee still wins in these aspects. But Juhee developed well imo since she chose herself and her happiness. A good-ish way for her to leave the plot but her departure is very sad for me.

Imagine a plot where Juhee discovered Jinwoo in danger and she rushes headfirst in despite her ptsd, wouldn't that be a wonderful plot?

Hae-in shouldn't have been used as a reward for Jinwoo. I really think she should be given a spotlight just for her. It's sour on my mouth that generally if you think of Hae-in it's "Jinwoo's wife" and "Suho's mother" coming to mind instead of this brilliant and awe-inspiring swordswoman who dominates the hunter industry. It's so infuriating that she's rlly jst for waifu uses;;. So yeah, that's my take. Jinwoo x Hae-in doesn't really work for me and it randomly appeared. Juhee x Jinwoo will forever be a plot I will never stop mourning.(ALSO TY FOR LIKING MY WORKS HAHAH QWQ!!!)

hi i really hope this doesnt come off as like. Ohh theres rtvs drama i need to add MORE and show these guys need to be Cancelled!!!! boiling down the crew’s immature response to being criticized as racist as just, Drama and controversy, is really shitty. what i wanna say next is just something completely unrelated to that, i just felt more Encouraged to say it at this time because i feel less afraid that im gonna get called silly for it.

ok so my main point is, i am concerned with how often rtvs (mostly specifically wayne, i cant recall anyone else in rtvs doing this) still uses ai in their stuff. by this i’m talking about the recent-ish novelai stream and to an extent the songs in the bbvr stream. i absolutely love the bbvr stream and i do appreciate what wayne’s said about the songs themselves, that theyre more comedic than meant to be Actual Art—same with whatever novelai writes being nothing but comedic and not actual art—and i agree with that partially. ai Can be funny as fuck in a very specific kind of uncanny and disgusting way that cant really be achieved by humans. but, by using that ai to create jokey stuff, you are still feeding the ai to be used by people that are genuinely serious about using ai. and whats most important to me is the environmental damage that comes with using ai, which i have not seen anyone in rtvs mention at all.

one thing thats kind of made me scared to talk about this is when i mentioned this on twitter (though admittedly i brought it up in a very Dumb way, it was me being afraid that scorpy’s section in the pizza tower stream was written by ai bc it just felt really convincingly nonsensical in the same way ai writes stuff, but now i know i was just Straight up wrong thats just how scorpy writes), scorpy qrted me without really addressing my concern and led to lots of people in my replies. again, what i was concerned with really Wasn’t as major as i was worried it was + my response to it was silly because i wasnt expecting so many eyes on a tweet i made just for my followers, but it would have seemed a lot better to talk to me directly about this instead of not even giving me a solid answer.

Is he strict? Embarrassing? How was he in the start after their parents death vs like post-book ish?

So at the beginning of the book Darry was LOST. He had NO clue how to raise kids 😭 (within the first month he bought like. 5-6 different books on parenting and child development and had a lot of really long talks w/ Ponyboy's school counselors and doctor (mostly because w/ the nightmares and stuff he was really worried)). He was really distant for a few months after the accident, but he slowly warmed back up. Ponyboy and Soda were so worried for him though.

Contrary to popular opinion Darry isn't THAT strict. I mean he lets Ponyboy do basically whatever he wants unless it's dangerous or if he hasn't done what he's supposed to. He lets him smoke like. a pack a day if he wants to 💀

I think after the parents died he was very worried about Ponyboy bc he saw a lot of himself in him, and he didn't want him to end up the same way he did (unfulfilled and stressed out). So he was pretty hard on him when it came to school, but it was also in an effort to keep him out of trouble. Darry has seen how tragedy and hardship can change people for the worst (Dally and some of the other greasers) and he wants to protect Ponyboy from that as best as he can.

I think people need to talk abt just how much Darry really cares for him and believes he can achieve good things😭 bro is so lucky man

But after the book Darry was less hard on Ponyboy bc he was more worried about his safety/survival (my hc is that Pony suffered mentally afterwards. He was really depressed for a good year or so and Darry was scared to death). And by then they had a little bit more financial stability so Darry was able to relax (at least a little bit).

I would say Darry's a little embarrassing tho 😭 just cause he's not afraid to call Ponyboy out in front of the gang if he has to. Sometimes he'll be trying to act tough in front of Curly or the other older greasers and Darry will come into the living room like "I told you to take a shower 15 minutes ago 😡"

My favorite spectres currently are Will’s and Duke’s. But I really love them all. I’ll go into the opinions now

Annabel’s Lady in White - I think she’s beautiful. I love her abilities and the whole bride thing she has going on. I at first wished her dress was more detailed but it’s fine to grow on me. I love the petals, and the hole in her chest is agonizing. Such a pretty spectre. kiss of death is just sooooo. idk her abilities are definitely one of my top favorites.

Morella’s Guardian Spirit - Plain-ish compared to the others, but still fantastic. I feel like her and Annabel are slept on because of how early they were revealed. I love how long her hair gets and the whole celtic vibe. and that she’s mainly defense with the healing and stuff! it’s very unique and it says sooo much about her past. if it were me i’d make her look a little less human wirh maybe more glowing or something but she’s still fabulous :)

Pluto’s Cryptid - im so so so interested in this because apparently domesticated cryptids are super rare? I wanna know more about the other cryptids poppet mentioned so badly. its so fucked that he has a collar too!!! he wanted to escape society but even in death it's like he's bound by the neck. I'm dying for info on that dumb coat too. He's so silly looking. I really wanna see his other abilities. I'll have a stronger opinion when that comes. Ada's Banshee

- I am dying to know what "Mark of the Grave" is so bad. And I love her confusing ass torso. Is she a shadow. is it a dress. I want to know. also LOVE how her limbs being detachable/having the stitch marks implies she was chopped up and buried like that. and her hat. thats a very "southern belle lady" sort of hat. she gets to be the lady she always wanted, just ugly and hideous!! love her and i love her spectre. "fear itself" is one of my favorite abilities and i hope she utilizes it more cough cough on will-

Prospero's Shadow Man - i am dying to know if he can take the mask off. imagine he's like. a sickly corpse looking kind of thing. like himself but rotting or weak as hell. i LOVE his abilities i just wish he had more detaaaailing. hes so cool and handsome though. i also think its super weird/cool how he has to activate his abilities with the stopwatch. i havent seen any other spectres have a "trigger point" like that. would he be rendered useless without it? Montresor's Dybbuk - nipple rings. sorry anyways - i love the chains. because it's not like he's using them, he's the one chained. and the whole. goat legs thing. bc goats are associated with the devil for some reason. I wonder why that is. idk i just love the whole demon thing. because he's been seen as such since like. his birth. and he cant even escape it in death. love it love his shit. his ability to force his way into peoples' memories is CRAZY too i cannot WAIT to see more of that. Eulalie's Chimera - SOOOO pretty. So aesthetically pleasing. I love how she can make stuff with her dreams!!! and the fact that its implied she can yank malevolent spectres back into their regular forms is soooo cool. and just the fact that she can neutralize other spectres in general is such a unique power. shes like defense similar to morella, just in a different way minus healing. i love her. i really dont dislike any spectre i just love them all. Berenice's Strigoi - I will forever be mad that her teeth count as an ability but WHATEVER. She's still badass. I can only imagine how it must feel to basically lose your hands. I'm really excited to see what "Bloodlust" as an ability does. like there are so many cool spectre abilities we havent seen in action yet. The bite that makes you drunk will forever be iconic too. I love her look and i love how her whole outfit is directly correlated to her time period. also love how like each mouth on her is like. its own being. she cant control it. Duke's Poltergeist - I need to like control myself because I will yap nonstop about this one. The NEONS the colors are just fantastic and I LOOOOVE HIS EYES. THE EYES. all of his abilities fuck so hard and i love how like. his "hypnosis" isnt really like full hypnosis its more like a very powerful suggestion? and he couldnt even figure out how to get ada out of it? like he didnt TELL her to use her ability on montresor, he just kinda planted the idea in her head. i also noticed that one of his abilities IS levitation despite us seeing other spectres float on multiple occasion. so the key difference here is the telekinesis portion of the power. just thought that was silly. love him. i love duke. he's my 2nd fave. Will's Doppelganger - i physically have to stop myself from writing a page's worth of bs here. He has DIRT IN HIS JOINTS. like he's DIRTY. like buried and forgotten!! and if he's dust bowl era like so many of us think, perhaps its that same dust. he was left buried in it...forgotten. unidentified. And and and he's SO OP. everyone IC is underestimating how he has one of the most powerful spectres. He was able to almost fool the misfits as duke, he honestly did a fantastic job. He has to memorize so much. like its genuinely impressive. and then his ribbons. notice how they wrap around HIM before/during use. like he's fucking tangled in in them too, not just his victims. i dont think he's ever been free. he's never not been wrapped up in someone else's shit. he's never been "william". i- i need to stop. hes the best. best spectre- and i pray that the characters realize how much POWER he really has.

Tbh I think actually tae and bogum have dated/hooked up in the past. Idk abt anymore if they’re just exes on great terms or if they were just friends w benefits and moved on or if actually they’re still dating but I think we’ve actually misread the situation this whole time. I was a tkkr but I think the taehyung and bogum thing actually makes a lot of sense. Just one example, but if you watch the video of bogum surprising tae/bts backstage and remove the preconceived narrative that tae is keeping his distance from bogum bc jk is there or whatever i think you kind of get this tension between tae and bogum that, in my opinion, comes off more so as maybe them having had a bit of a fight/argument and bogum surprising him at his concert to make it up to tae. That would also explain why tae seems a little closed off and keeping his distance physically/not fully reciprocating bogums hug bc I think he must’ve still been a little bit mad at him. But showing up was bogums way of apologizing/making it up to tae. I think the tension between jk and bogum could be better explained as jk being very protective of his best friend who he doesn’t want to get hurt, so bogum kind of has to get jks approval type of thing. It would also explain the so called jealousy that jk had abt tae and bogum, like maybe he was afraid of losing his best friend when bogum started coming into the picture. It would also really explain tae’s past obsession with call me by your name. That movie is literally about a gay relationship with a significantly older man, which is similar to tae’s relationship/scenario with bogum. I think there might have been a few bumps in the road if bogum had not previously been with a guy before, so that could be why tae resonates so strongly with the movie. Ik it’s not a fool proof explanation and ok you likely won’t agree but I thought I’d just give a different perspective/read about what could be going on between tae, bogum, and jk

There’s a reason why I often emphasize not to look at moments in isolation. It’s what Jkkrs often do. I’m sure from the BangtanBomb alone lots of different situations can be imagined. Your explanation to me is very much you filling in gaps, because none of what you say can be argued for with proof. I’ve not seen Tae and Bogum look in love. I have seen them be friends. I think at times awkwardness (which I do see a bit of in the footage) can be because real life clashes with professional life. You see this when Wooga members present an award to BTS also. Bts members are used to balancing their professional and private lives when it comes to each other, bit when you place someone outside that into the whole I imagine things can feel weird-ish.

I believe Tae and Jk were already in love when Bogum came to see them. When you look at the wider context, so many situations before and after that visit point to it.

Hey, my name is jemma & I'm a 21 year old very mentally ill woman. I've recently moved from America to Germany for a number of reasons, and though I have a very lovely partner who I live with, ultimately I've sacrificed almost everything else to be here.

I have BPD, high (ish) functioning autism and severe medical OCD, which combined made me go through huge, very damaging mental episodes that lost me basically all that was left of my close local friends back home. They literally flat out said I was too unhinged to continue friendships, including one I'd had since I was 13. Through this, I started talking to my partner on a deeper level about mental health, found that we were extremely compatible, then moved to Germany to be with them, bc coupled with the looming threat of Project 2025, I really had nothing to lose but my less close friends who I was scared to face on a deeper level. her name is veronica daumas, she's in her late 30s, brazilian (speaks portuguese and english) and has been living in the us for 10-ish years (faceclaim is taina muller). she was a private eye in brazil before messing with some big corporations (aka vought), giving herself a lot of trouble, and having to fake some documents and burn some bridges to move to the us. she was recruited for the first mallory team due to her investigative abilities and, of course, is brought back to the team for the s1 shenanigans. during the years between the first mission and the start of s1, she was working as a sort of particular investigator for a brazilian-american crime boss in nyc.

personality-wise, veronica is a nosy bitch. she loves fucking around and finding out, prying for information, discovering things about people. a bit grumpy and snappy, but who in that team isn't? brutally honest too, not in an edgy, wanting to be a bitch way, but in a comically careless disregard for if something would be rude. her own crazy drive to pursue the truth makes her not realize some people might not want the whole truth at all times. it's not like she doesn't lie ever, she actually controls information very well when she wants/needs to; she really wants to be the one who knows things more than other people do. she's in a weird middle ground in the insane-to-normal spectrum: if butcher is one side and mm's the other, she stands aside with a cigarette to film whatever will go down between them. she's not one to stop anyone though — your problem! chronic bailer: if it's gonna go down, she'll leave. addicted to getting away with things. will absolutely back off and save her own skin, which is a conflict she has to grapple with when she inevitably comes back in contact with the boys, and starts getting attached to them as they slowly realize they actually are a team. she has left a lot of people behind in her life and it's something that's slowly coming back to haunt her — oh shit, she cares about the people she loves. and bailing won't solve her problems if she still feels for the things left behind.

I agree with your pairing — Veronica definitely seems like Frenchie's type of partner, and vice versa. Dark and varied past? Check. A love for drama? Check. Wanting to be independent, but becoming attached to a group of fucked up people just trying to do the right thing day-by-day? Check.

I've mentioned this in a few other HCs, but I don't see Frenchie as a person to move fast romantically at all, so it would definitely start with a lot of interesting conversations and a healthy dose of playful flirtation. If Veronica is someone who's comfortable with hookups, I feel like it would be likely for she and Frenchie to be sexually intimate with each other before catching romantic feelings.

Once in a relationship, the two of them would be quite the chaotic duo, and would always back each other up. Sometimes, Frenchie will not know what she's talking about, but if anyone (*cough* Annie *cough*) tries to push back on any of Veronica's ideas or input, he will fight for her like a guard dog.

Generally, Frenchie really trusts Veronica's decision-making skills and intuition — he's always been more of a tactile person when it comes to work in the coup, so her investigative abilities are incredible to him — and always makes sure she's properly heard by the group, even when they're all yelling over each other, which is... a lot.

Frenchie is very fascinated by Veronica as a person, and would always make time to talk to her in-between missions. It would start as very run-of-the-mill questions, at least by Frenchie standards (her work in Brazil, how it was transitioning to life in America) before slowly becoming more personal. However interested, though Frenchie will always be patient — he knows how personal people's pasts are, and always respects her if she doesn't want to divulge information.

The two of them would definitely balance each other out. Frenchie is endlessly loyal, to his own detriment — Little Nina called him little doggy for a reason — and Veronica's ability to know when's the right time to bail would help him gain a lot more self-awareness and respect, while Frenchie would be able to show her that sometimes, not every time is the right time to bail.

During missions, he would always make sure he has a line of contact with Veronica, even if they weren't directly working together, just to give her words of encouragement and check in on how she's doing. He knows she's capable, yeah, but he just wants to hear her voice (and know what's going on, because he, too, is a nosy bitch). Sue him.

Frenchie is not shy at all with PDA, and would always be very physically close to Veronica, whether it's a hand holding hers, an arm wrapped around her shoulder, or just standing by her side. He also lives for sleeping with her, no matter who's the big spoon.

Frenchie loves hearing her speak Portuguese, and will often ask her to read to him.

Tons of cute, silly nicknames for her, such as mon bijou, mon trésor, and ma chouchoute.

Butcher really likes Veronica, finding her to be funny, competent, and very, very funny; the man could not deal with another moral compass on the team. Even when he's not a hundred percent down with an idea of hers, he'll back it up just to start shit with Annie and M.M. The guy's gotta get his fun in somehow.

He also definitely would invite her out to drink a lot (strictly platonically, though, because our boy is not a homewrecker).

However, it wouldn't be without its stressors. Considering Veronica's bluntness and lack of hesitation with calling out bullshit, I could see some pretty gnarly arguments happening between them, especially if it concerns Frenchie

On the topic of M.M. and Annie: M.M. does quite like Veronica and doesn't snap at her, but can get annoyed with her pretty quickly, especially when he senses that she's about to bail. Still, though, he finds her extremely intelligent and invaluable to the team, and believes her to be a very good person, even with her guarded exterior.

And, for Annie — I hate to say it, but Veronica and Annie would not get along at the start. Annie is very much an endlessly hopeful and loyal person, to a rather damagingly "go down with the ship" mindset, and would find Veronica to be flaky, selfish, and a hazard, likely having a relationship with Veronica similar to her relationship with Butcher.

That doesn't mean there wouldn't be room for improvement, though. Annie's decently intuitive, and as she senses Veronica becoming more and more attached to the team, would begin warming up to her and holding far more respect for her as a person.

Hughie would be quite wary of Veronica and probably wouldn't interact with her too much — sorry, he's a nervous little fella — but, like M.M., would also hold a lot of respect for her.

Kimiko would love her, finding her to be an extremely funny, interesting person. Like Frenchie, Kimiko is someone who highly values honesty, and would find her to be a refreshing person to be around, especially since Veronica isn't afraid of standing her own.

Additionally, Kimiko is admittedly pretty drawn to gossip and other "nosy" things that she wasn't able to pick up on or enjoy during her time in the Shining Light Liberation Army, so if Veronica dispels any information she's picked up on to Kimiko? The woman will be sold.

So... welcome to the team. She's one of the boys, for sure.

like the thing about neal is he Is a magpie he’s just a surprisingly loyal one, he flits from shiny thing to person to ideal, sure, but certain classes of ppl can fully hold his attention

peter holds his attention bc he is good as in skilled (it’s borderline canon that no one else can catch him, or even really come close), and extremely principled w a cunning streak which neal basically approaches as like. a puzzle box, bc like none of their principles line up so he’s curious how the apparent closed system rube goldberg machine of his morals work LOL

then it becomes a dedication through loyalty, in that peter sticks his neck out multiple times due to faith in neal, and neal is EXTREMELY weak to loyalty/consistency (gestures at the mess of his childhood)

and due to generally low self image (morals wise, he kind of thinks he sucks? like he’s competent and cool and charming and everything, but he also tends to consider himself a nuisance, w how he’s disruptive to ‘normal’ / ‘good’ people) that dedication can become disproportionate

we see through kate (and later, adler) that the easiest way to con neal/get him acting against his own self interest IS to cultivate that loyalty

there’s an easy archetype to it, even, in that u present him with a competent, smart individual (bonus points if they’re a conventionally attractive woman), but have her off limits in some way (uninterested, taken, stand off ish, whatever), activate his thief urge to ‘take’ what he wants, then when they are friends/partners whatever, his inadvertent guilt over like. corrupting/endangering this person/tricking them about who he ‘really’ is will loop around into VERY strong loyalty, and a commitment to being whatever they want him to be x2, bc he Cannot handle being left behind LMAO

peter simultaneously feeds into + challenges this framework, bc he clearly has the least biased opinion about who neal is, even though he’s still wrong about a lot of things. and beyond that, he REALLY likes neal, thinks he’s interesting and funny, but at the start of the show can’t deal with even 0.01% of his chaotic neutral methods

WHICH IN TURN!! actually breaks through some of Neal’s shit bc:

peter picked him out of prison before neal had changed at all

he essentially sees his role, from as early as ep 1, as tactically breaking the law where peter can’t/won’t, in ways that help them close the case faster

after peter (more or less) gives a thumbs up the first time he does this, neals puzzle box brain goes ‘oh?? morally grey bestie??? CRIME BESTIE????’ and now he’s trying to ‘solve’ peter’s moral code

a lot of his dedication to peter circa s2 is, by my reckoning, explicitly because peter is so determined to stick with Neal, and doesn’t give up on him/their deal even when it would be entirely reasonable (neal admits to crimes, gets put back in prison, constantly breaks rules and goes looking for kate) which is like. neal HATES being trapped, but he also REALLY values consistency + competency

Hiya! I notice you’ve played a lot of dnd rangers just like me! I wanted to ask what draws you towards the class? what do you enjoy about the class? And what do you think is the classes identity what makes a ranger ?

I’ve played swarmkeeper feywanderer horizon walker drakewarden and gloomstalker, I’m drawn towards the class in part because I’m a Ranger irl it’s my day job, but I also love the jack of all trades support vibe of the class it doesn’t excel anywhere but can help every class with a little bit of something and I view the classes identity as the professional adventurer someone who spends their life balancing the threats of the world whether that be the threats of the wild the monsters who inhabit it or the people who cross it, balancing their needs, kinda like Geralt of rivia balancing the needs of “monsters” and people, they work to make the world a safer better place picking up whatever skills and magic help them survive, I also note that every dnd class is either some form of Hunter or Tamer, the gloomstalker, horizon walker ,hunter and monster slayer, hunt the creatures of the wild, while the drakewarden, the swarmkeeper, the beast master and the fey wanderer spend their time befriending and taming the monsters of the wild. I don’t mean to answer my own question but I’m interested as someone who’s played the ranger just as much as me how your opinions may differ (I also especially love your borrower style ranger the little fellow is so cute and very well drawn)

hi!! Fun fact, i actually havent played any rangers 🥴 I'm the kinda dnd player who plays in like 2-3 campaigns but makes like 50 ocs. ASDFJKSDJF (I've only played a cleric and a barbarian in campaigns, but for oneshots I've tried every race) Id love to play one, but its kinda hard to do that for a oneshot since so much of the ranger class is dependent on favoured terrain/knowing your surroundings and levelling.

This is SUCH a fun ask because I LOVE the ranger class for its very niche yet versatile character archetype. I think if there's one type of word I could use to describe a ranger is a survivalist — the rangers that I do have, a handful of them are fashioned after Scouts/parkrangers (because....I was one.) or famous character types that do a lot of adventuring like cowboys, pirates, explorers etc. — if I'm being honest, ranger is the most 'adventurer' type there is!

(as a note here, i know pointy hat has mentioned a ranger's big thing was an animal companion -- i think?? IDR -- which is like a fun take. I really like his stuff, but i feel like a class shouldn't be bound to smth like a pet. any class can have pets!)

To use my own as an example, I have a bounty hunter devil cowboy (monster slayer), a princess-mononoke-ish Artemis huntress (hunter), a HouYi type ancient hero with 3-legged crows (swarmkeeper), an Indiana jones style explorerer (horizon walker) and a borrower (beast master). I really love the idea of all of them being really different but all being excellent survivalists and navigators!

Im a big fan of rangers that have fighting styles other than archery too. I think archery is awesome for the fighting style, but having duelist (like the borrower) or dueling (monster hunter) gives it an extra bit of flavour to just "class that wields a bow". it also sets them apart from a fighter bc in my head a fighter is more military while a ranger is more solitary. It establishes them as a martial class for sure, but its so versatile and has that edge that comes with dex-based instead of str-based.

I particularly like monster slayer bc to me that was very like...witcher-y. The cowboy is a monster slayer with favoured foes as humanoids bc he only tracks humanoids (bounties), which is some fun flavouring. There's a lot of customization! To clarify, there's a lot of room for flavour, but not as much choice for character builds (like, mechanically, at least compared to stuff like warlocks.)

The addition of magic also helps give it some class distinction :0

TLDR: mixes the best aspects of rogues and fighters with LOTS of room for flavour text.

hello hello. i started writing a long ass paragraph about this when i was at the store…. that all got lost. aside from watching music videos and live performances, i recommend watching In Transit, and the zoom series they have on their youtube channel!!!! i feel like they’re the best way to get to know the boys and some fandom inside jokes.

i think some important lore to know is how they all met. julian and nikolai went to school when they were kids. julian was sent to a school in switzerland during middleschool, where he met albert. julian went back to new york, and went to high school with nikolai, fab, and nick. i’m not sure how long he was in school with them though, bc im pretty sure he dropped out. obviously they stayed friends, and then formed the strokes. AND THEN, albert went to college in new york, and then ran into julian. they both were looking for places to live, and then decided to move in with each other. i just feel like the way they all met is so interesting???? like starting a band with someone you knew when you were 6 is soooooooo AUGH!!!

they went on hiatus after releasing first impressions of earth, and i think that’s why i can’t think of a clear list of “lore” for them. they’re honestly pretty private people, and they give us a lot of sarcastic answers, and im pretty sure it’s because they hated the promotion side of releasing music, and dealing with interviewers who knew practically nothing about their musics and only wanted to sell a story. also this is just my opinion but i think whatever actually happened during their hiatus, really put something between them. sure, they’re all friends now but it’s pretty obvious that they are not as close as they were in the early 2000s, and it kind of breaks my heart. sorry…. that kind of dampened the mood ahaha….

I hope that K and M friendship didn’t end just because M wanted to be with Colby. Call me crazy, but they have been childhood friends and as much as we all love Colby, he is not worth ruining something that lasted that long ( and if did, then i think it’s clear that the friendship was strong and real). Actually no men is worth ruining your friendships, no matter how hot he is. Of course we do not know what exactly happened, but i have weird feeling that it might in a way involve both s and c. Cause since k and S had that weird break up, we didn’t see girls with each other. K clearly distancing herself and M staying with snc. And it shouldn’t matter, cause s and k past relationships that probably led to snc disliking k, shouldn’t influence M and K friendship. M can be still be with C and friends with K. I just hope that the girls are won’t regret that decision, cause i have a feeling that c and m won’t be “forever”, although it would be super lovely if they would (sometimes people have that feelings of smth yk… well, that’s mine). Even if i found some of their behaviors weird (well mostly K), i wish they could resolve things and just continue to be friends. You can have twi things at once in this case, you are adults ffs. We ain’t in middle school:

friendships ending are never over just one singular thing. it's always because of multiple things, so even if for argument's sake katelyn and malia aren't friends bc malia "chose" colby/snc over her, that wasn't the soul reason for their friendship falling apart.

obviously, i don't think we will ever truly know what went down or why things ended they way they did. but i do have a bit of a guess

all of this is just my speculation and not based on any real facts so take my opinion with a grain of salt. i'm not saying i'm right, just saying this is what i think.

so, from what i've been able to somewhat gather, the girls and the boys were all seen together last on or around july 4th. that's when malia and katelyn posted that one tiktok in the all white fits. they were all on a date somewhere. even sam posted a thing on his story hanging out with her at their new house. however, by july 17th-ish, katelyn posted on her tiktok story that things in her life had become very weird and muddy and she was confused on what was happening and so she was gonna go see pythian priestess to get a reading.

snc around that time were out filming hell week at farrar school.

my guess is this: things were fine for the first half of july but then suddenly before their trip, sam dumped her for whatever reason. and then immediately left to go film hell week. and as much as i love sam, he's a dick bc this is now the second time he's done something like this (literally did the same shit to kat as well, where they broke up and then he left to go film content in or around the same time as the break up). sam ignores her grieving and confusion, and so she's left trying to figure out what the hell happened.

not even a month rolls by and you got him seen out with a new girl, where he goes to venice beach and watches the sunset with her. now, is it possible this girl was a friend only just helping out a bro with a weird fear he's always had? sure. but i don't think katelyn saw it that way, and neither did really anyone in the fandom.

and it's made worse when said girl posts pics of this thing on insta the next day, liking comments talking about sam and whatnot. and literally the day before this happened, katelyn and sam unfollowed each other on insta. so the timing is just all very messy. i think that made katelyn upset, and so that's when she posts that pic of sam kissing her with the caption "felt cute might delete later". that whole drama happens, but bc sam is a bit of a petty betty, he let's the fans go buckwild on her bc in his eyes she made him "look bad"/embarrassed him.

but i still personally believe he went far beyond whatever weird ass behavior she pulled bc he literally liked a post shitting on her even tho in his comment he wished her well and then tried to make it seem like they had been broken up for a while when "a while" apparently only meant a fucking month AT MOST. and then on top of that, him liking that post shitting on her gave his fans the green flag to hate on her more than they had been for the entirety of their relationship.

and i think her doing this, that post and then little other things she did (like reposting a clip of them hanging out together but with him not in the vid, making the post her icon at one point, and a couple other things i just don't remember at this point) made malia keep her distance from her for a while. but i think that upset katelyn more bc… you're supposed to be my best friend, why are you essentially siding with my ex just bc i was sort of petty?

that or when katelyn wanted malia to reach out and ask her what was wrong, she didn't do that, and that just made the friendship break down more. and that's why they aren't friends anymore. and that's also why katelyn is still somewhat shading snc. well, mostly sam.

obviously, there is probably about a million other things that most likely went down that we don't know about - again, not saying i'm right. i'm just saying this is what i think happened.

i don't think malia chose snc over katelyn, but i think that's what katelyn feels. if what i think actually did happen, i think malia just didn't want to get involved in the drama of it all, but that just registered as her picking a side.

but i could be wrong. do i think something like this can be fixed? sure, but there's a lot of communication that needs to take place and idk if either party involved want to do that. so for now katelyn will continue to be petty and malia will say nothing. and sam will add in his passive aggressive shit once in a while when he feels like it.

this is also assuming katelyn doesn't go off the deep end and air out his dirty laundry lol
