Um. Guys. Why doesn't Will's bedroom have a plate number? And his key is very different from the keys used by other students

Like. Thats absolutely different key. It makes sense that if there is no number on the door, then it will not be on the key either, but why?? How did he even find his bedroom on the first day, lol. Also, my friend noticed that Will's key actually looks a lot like the skeleton key Duke uses in the maze.

I'm not really sure, it's a pretty standard, simplest image of a key, but for a character like Will it suits to have a skeleton key as a regular key.

stole the thought from @majosullivan because they brought up something i think we should discuss more!!

when the deans reveal that there is only one life, we see everyone’s initial reactions minus annabel lee and will. Annabel Lee i understand but why is will left out? was it on purpose to emphasize that he doesn’t really matter/is easily forgotten? Or was it something else?

I really think there’s more to him than meets the eye. he was given average traits on purpose, quite literally made to be in the background- and that’s why i am so suspicious. he’s so plain that it’s INTERESTING.

+ lenore's reaction is cut off No Will. They emphasize Annabel Lee's reaction after this moment to end the chapter beautifully. Look closer though. I'm probably crazy but those kind of look like broken shards? Like just the way the page is set up. And Will's Poe story, William Wilson, involves a mirror near the end (I won't spoil it, go read it.) Maybe…broken mirror shards. The mirror breaks in William Wilson, and this kinda looks like broken glass shards- idk!! And it's very important. I don't know maybe there's something here. Maaaaybe I'm just a really big fan of Will as a character but what are yall thinking

I adore this shot.

Annabel and Lenore are the center piece of the board so they're the only ones in colour.

Montressor and Duke have their eyes locked because they absolutely loathe each other.

Interestingly, Prospero has his eyes fixed on Annabel instead of the opposition (Because at this point of the story he doesn't fully trust her).

Ada and Pluto are lukewarm. Ada wants to look down on Lenore, Pluto is side-eyeing Prospero (they've got beef that is still yet to be resolved because Pluto felt abandoned by Prospero when he got switched for Morella).

Morella is in the middle, she wants everyone to be friends and doesn't want to pick sides. Everyone looks so pretty. I love it. ✨

(I also realise that Will was present during this conversation but he's not here. 💀 He's not in this shot. Dang. He's the side character of side characters).

HIGH SCHOOL AU

Lenore is a huge chemistry lover. She and Duke would be neutralising acids and bases at the back of the classroom then betting a ridiculous amount of money that the other won’t drink it. (Pluto has just given up stopping them and just began quietly handing Duke whatever he needs while half-listening to the lecture half-trying to make sure his friends don’t die.)

The misfits (COUGH COUGH Lenore COUGH) have probably set a fire by accident while teasing each other. 🥰 They all got in trouble.

Berenice wants to see blood under the microscope, but uhhhh, no one wants her cutting herself (or someone else).

Eulalie refuses to do dissections. FROGS ARE FRIENDS.

Prospero and Annabel make the BEST notes and Ada is begging for them at the end of class. (Annie gives it, of course.)

Will takes notes for Monty, and when desperate, Ada asks (DEMANDS) for them. (Will says no. 🥰)

No, but Prospero would wash his hands maybe ten times when in the lab, whether it’s touching chemicals or organs or anything. (Germaphobia, yes. 😭)

Montresor is OBSESSED with dissections. He finds it super fascinating and of course, loves feeling mushy organs and blood on his hands. (When Prospero is paired with him, he forces Monty to wash his hands.)

Dodgeball when it’s boys vs girls, Lenore is protecting all the shy unathletic girls from getting hit, becoming a sort of ‘saviour’. All of them fall heads over heels for her. 😔

Berenice and Lenore are the power duo.

Duke and Pluto WISHES they could be half as good bruh.

Eulalie looks like she’s unathletic, but she is FAST.

Annabel insists she shouldn’t play dodgeball because her nails will get in the way. (She tosses a ball at Monty’s head later for being misogynistic about that.)

Ada in PE is WILD. She and Will are the most competitive unathletic goblins ever. While Will uses his thin stature to sneak around opponents, Ada straight up tackles him, using the excuse “Oh, but we’re playing football, aren’t we?” “Not American football, god’s sake!!!”

I’m sorry, but Monty playing football (idc which football) AHHHHHH. He and Will joined the school team together of course. (William Wilson only joined to be in the changing room with Monty.)

Morella is Ada’s personal shield, because Ada has ZERO awareness of her surroundings when she’s focused. Morella has to run and block balls from hitting her.

Annabel in English class writing ramblings about how much she loves Lenore, but plays it off as only ‘fiction’. (I’ve done that once, IT WORKS!!!)

Lenore takes French so she could communicate with Duke in secret. Pluto attempted to, but backed out after a few failed exams.

Pluto now takes Japanese and Eulalie is his tutor. 😔

Monty is the kind to refuse to learn any language other than English, because it’s the ‘superior language’. (He takes German lol, I can see him speaking German...but like he knows only random words and shouts them to feel smart.)

Ada sucks at foreign languages, but thinks she is fluent. She’s the student that yells out answers with the strangest accent. 😭

Ada and Monty are the couple that’s ALWAYS kissing, but they broke up like ten times then got back together so everyone’s just confused.

Annabel and Lenore pass notes in class and when asked to read it out, Lenore EATS THE PAPER.

Poor Will tries to make friends and always fail.

Duke and Pluto are the gayest ‘straight guys’. (People assume they’re straight, but… 👀)

Eulalie is the weird kid that when you get to know becomes your best friend.

Merry and Mourn are kind of the weird teachers. 😭 They give you detention for no reason and can be strict.

Nevermore Pool day headcanons!!

- Pluto wears a swim shirt

- in fact, he tries to avoid getting in the water as much as possible. the most he’ll do is dip his feet (until duke pushes him in)

- Annabel tries for like 10 minutes to keep her hair dry with a very intricate updo but someone splashes her so quick. - likely splash culprits: any of the misfits minus morella, monty - will puts on sunscreen and lays in a chair, falls asleep, and nobody wakes him because he is just so forgettable. he burns. - + slight chance morella catches him and applies sunscreen on him while he's half awake. she's a ginger, she burns too easy and is very careful with being in the sun - morella wears a super cute hat so her scalp doesnt burn - duke and berenice yank each other under by the ankle when the other least expects it - eulalie can hold her breath for a scarily long time. nobody has beaten her record yet. - montresor is too rough. chicken fights are banned because he would take down the other team and nearly drown them - prospero reads under the umbrella the entire time, only gets in if he can lounge on one of those long floaties and not get touched - montresor innocently pushes him around the pool and flips him over without warning - lenore likes to float around on her back, her ears in the water. just listening to the muffled voices. - ada wants to tan so badly. she never succeeds. - ada wears a really intricate bathing suit that keeps loosening so she has to keep asking morella to retie it - pluto gets too used to the water temp and doesnt want to get out because the air is colder than the pool - after will wakes up completely sun burnt montresor purposely touches him more to watch him wince. he finds it funny - ada says she too has a sun burn so montresor can pay attention to her too - prospero does not take off his gloves. not even to apply any sun screen, so he looks like an idiot later when he takes them off and their slightly lighter than the rest of him - lenore blows underwater kisses at annabel - every time someone goes down the slide will is too close to the vicinity and either gets splashed or hit by a body - duke dramatically pretends to faint in the water too frequently. its expected.
