Why, Why, Why Can't We Date This Man?
Spoilers Ahead.... Don't read past pictures if you don't want spoilers on Saotome route
Why is there a sexy ass man that I can't date in this game... not only is he not dateable yet he shows actual interest in you its like why even show us what it would be like for this man to get close to you and almost kiss you if we can't have him? sighs! I know I can't be the only one that finds this man attractive....
If you have finished Saotome's route you will find he isn't a all bad guy even apologizes and honestly even Saotome admits he is part of the problem to cause he was a jerk back then as well so both are in the wrong. Not to mention him making a move on the mc was genuine I think because before he knew that Saotome and you were playing him he actually tried to stand in front of you to protect you when he thought Saotome was actually harassing and following you.

For A Good Cause
@steddiemas day 19: Steddie as parents | WC: 1562 | Rating: G Read full list of tags on ao3
It’s for a good cause. It’s for a good cause. Do it for Claudia, it’s for a good cause.
Eddie had been repeating that to himself for two weeks. It was the only thing that got him through not only wearing the stifling red suit and beard but through the parade of kids. Sure, some were well-behaved, but then some were throwing a tantrum and others were terrified– he blamed it on the beard and not on the ring through Santa’s nose.
He was starting to question whether this was worth making Claudia happy, though, as he took a break to untangle a candy cane from his beard– and not for the first time. “They’ll never end, man. One wave leaves, another comes through five minutes later.” Jeff adjusted his prosthetic elf ears and put his hands on his hips. “Why are we doing this again?” “‘Cause Claudia asked us to and we can’t tell her no.” Eddie adjusted the fake belly beneath his shirt. “Because she’s a fucking angel who cooks for us.” Gareth kicked his legs where he sat perched up on the counter. “You mean you can’t tell Claudia no, and you asked us and we can’t tell you no.” Eddie grabbed scissors to cut the piece of candy cane out– he would just have to style around it, there was no untangling the sticky mess from whatever material the beard was made from. “Because you know I’ll kill you,” he said, grinning.
Gareth flipped him off. “C’mon, Santa. Your adoring crowd awaits.”
The day only got worse from there. A set of twins threw a fit as their parents made them both see Santa at the same time– Eddie still wasn’t sure if they were mad that they didn’t each get their own turn or if they didn’t want to be there at all. Another kid pulled his beard down to reveal the fact that he wasn’t really Santa, which sent the next several kids in line into meltdowns that Eddie had to try to fix.
With how busy they were the day should have passed by in a blur, but each kid just seemed to make the seconds drag out longer and longer. When they finally got through the last kid in line, Eddie was sticky and tired and beyond ready to go home. “That’s a wrap, folks,” he said as he stood and flipped the sign around to read “Santa is out” in Christmas red glitter. “Thank god.” Jeff shook his head and moved to remove his ears. “This was the longest fucking day of my life.” “Of your life? Did you have any kids sneeze directly on you?” Eddie asked. “No, I don’t think so. You had it easy. But now we can kick back, relax, and–” “Wait!” Eddie looked towards the voice and groaned softly. A man with chestnut hair was practically sprinting across the mall with a puffy pink bundle in his arms. “Wait, don’t leave–” “Oh, shit.” Jeff snapped his ears back into place as the man got closer. “Listen, buddy, Santa’s already out for the night, you’ll have to come back.” “Please, we’ve been to three other stores and all of the Santas were gone for the night,” he begged. “I promised that we would get to see Santa today. You wouldn’t make me break my promise to a kid, right?” Eddie had to give it to the guy, he knew how to play on the heartstrings. He turned with a sigh and stopped– he hadn’t been able to tell from far away, but the man was fucking beautiful. He had beautiful golden skin dotted with moles that Eddie found himself very much wanting to map like goddamn constellations, the warmest brown eyes made even bigger by the round frame glasses.
The guy was talking to him. Eddie could see those beautiful lips moving, the guy was looking at him, clearly he was addressing Eddie, who had been so busy staring that he hadn’t processed a single goddamn word in at least the last thirty seconds. “Huh?” he asked. The man smiled a little and gestured to the pink bundle– which had moved and pushed her hood down, revealing those same wide eyes, looking at him with all the hope in the world. “Think you can squeeze one more kid in? I would owe you big time…” God, that crooked smile was like a punch to Eddie’s stomach. He would burn the mall down if he could get another smile like that. Eddie adjusted his hat, turned on his heel, and walked back to the throne. “What kind of Santa would I be if I said no to a request like that? Let them through!” Gareth watched Eddie with confusion and then delight. “Right this way!” he said, and he moved the velvet rope so the little girl could be carried through.
Her big eyes glowed with wonder as she took in the glittering piles of snow and the decorated trees that were set up behind the throne. “Daddy, so p’etty,” she said. Her gloved hands, which had been clinging to her dad’s shirt, loosened up, and she began squirming in his arms. “Down, Daddy, I wanna see Santa!” “Okay, okay!” He laughed and put her down, so she could do the toddler run the rest of the way to the chair. “Hello, little girl!” Eddie said with his big, booming Santa voice as he helped her up onto his lap. “I’m so glad you made it! I was waiting around just for you!” “You were?” she asked, awed – though her r made more of a w sound. “Yous not the weal Santa, how did you know?” “You bet I was!” Eddie smiled at her, then up at her dad. “Has your dad here explained how mall Santas work?” When she nodded her head, making her little pigtails bounce, he smiled all the wider. “Then you know I’m not the real Santa, but I work for the real Santa. And he told me that a pretty little girl and her handsome daddy were going to be a little late, but that I needed to stick around because that little girl is on the nice list.” She gasped. “I am?” “What’s your name?” Eddie asked her. “Ashwey Hawwington,” she said. “And hims my daddy, Steve.” It sounded more like Steef, the way she said it. “Then yes, I was waiting for you!” Eddie booped her nose with his finger, making her giggle. “The real Santa told me that you’ve been a very good girl this year. Is he right?” “Yes!” Ashley nodded enthusiastically. “I was vewy good.” “Is that right, dad?” Eddie turned to Steve, who looked like he was ready to melt as he watched them. “Yeah.” Steve rested his hands on his hips and gave a warm smile. “She’s been a really good girl this year.”
“See? I towd you.” Ashley wiggled excitedly. “So Santa’s gonna bwing me a pwesent?” she asked. “It sounds like it!” Eddie smiled at her. “Why don’t you tell me what you want, and I’ll make sure Santa knows about it?”
Her face lit up and she clapped her hands. “I want a kitty!” “A kitty?” Eddie looked towards Steve again for a moment. “Have you been good enough to get a kitty?” “Yeah!” she said. “I only weaved my toys out a few times, an I didn’t cwy when Daddy taked me to school. I was good!” Eddie and Steve laughed together at her insistence. “We’ll make sure Santa knows, okay?”
“Okay.” She hugged him tight, then made to wriggle out of his arms. “Wait– don’t you have something to say to Santa?” Steve asked. “And don’t you want a picture?” “Oh yeah!” Ashley grinned wide at where Jeff held the camera. Eddie wasn’t sure what was more precious, the gap on the bottom row of her teeth, the way her parka absolutely swallowed her up, or the way Steve watched her with clear adoration on his face.
Picture taken and candy cane given, Ashley hugged Eddie and gave a rushed “thank you!” before running back to her daddy. Steve scooped her up and smiled at Eddie again. “Uh– thanks. You made her night,” he said. “I was happy to do it.” Eddie smiled at her as she tore into the candy cane wrapper. “It’s not often I get a direct request like that from the big guy up north.”
Steve grinned and adjusted his grip on Ashley. “I guess me and the big guy both owe you one.” He reached out, offering Eddie his hand to shake. “Maybe I can make it up to you sometime.” Eddie gave his hand a quick shake, and when the handshake broke he was left with a scrap of paper in his palm. “See you around, Santa.” Steve winked, turned, and made his way towards the mall entrance. Eddie was so busy watching Steve leave (and, frankly, having thoughts that would get him put on the naughty list) that he nearly forgot about the paper. When he unfolded it, there was a phone number and Steve. It had clearly been written hastily– Eddie wasn’t even sure when he’d stopped watching Ashley long enough to write it at all.
“What’s that?” Jeff asked. Eddie tucked the slip of paper away and headed for the backroom. “My Christmas bonus.”

Astarion x Tav || dissociation
something i wanted to feel
warnings: dissociation, ptsd, trauma synopsis: disguised as a drow, tav finds astarion after he's reverted back to old, unhealthy ways of using his body. she brings him back. When Astarion hears her normal voice, he feels soothed. “You weren’t here, fully. I wanted to bring you back.” She explains, like it’s the simplest thing. “If I let you continue, it felt like I would lose you.” she continues. an excerpt of 'cause my love (is mine, all mine) word count: 1,001 pairing: astarion/tav other tags: f!reader, half-elf?tav, bard!tav, hurt/comfort, angst, non-sexual intimacy, friends to lovers, song inspo: sanctuary by joji ao3: here concept: dissociation and grounding techniques
The elf—half elf, maybe, based off the point of their ear? They grab Astarion’s wrist to stop him, and pull him away. “P-Put on your clothes, first.”
There's something off, like the pieces of the puzzle don't quite fit together. The man before him appears unnaturally flawless, almost like plastic rather than real flesh. Confused, Astarion takes a step back.
“Well, if that’s… what you wish.” Astarion replies and proceeds to redress himself. He's so bewildered by the situation that he foregoes any reverse strip-tease or other playful undressing antics; it completely escapes his thoughts. He simply puts his clothes back on, sliding his pants over his legs and fastening his belt. His shirt follows, and after it's on, he walks back over to the other person. Astarion supposes that this is okay. He hadn't exactly planned anything out, after all. Whether he’s naked or clothed while he does… whatever he’s going to do doesn’t matter to him at all.
"Now, where were we?" Astarion inquires, his hands gently cradling their artificial features, as he attempts to regain his focus.
However, they gently remove his hands from their face and clasp his hands in theirs, asking, "How does it feel?"
Astarion’s response is automatic. “Oh, it feels lovely. I’d love to see what other—”
“Ah-ah,” they tut, “tell me about my hands. How do they feel?”
Astarion takes a second. A hint of confusion prods at his mind for a second before he understands that he’s supposed to actually be using his body to relay these sensations. He looks down, and the discrepancy between how they look and feel strikes him again. “Well, they’re soft, of course. They’re… thin, and graceful…” he says, all compliments that he expects they would want to hear. But then his hand runs over their ring finger, and he blinks, because he feels a callous that he doesn’t see. Then, he begins to realize who he’s with. “There’s always a callous that never quite heals, here… and then the scar, and… well, you have a hangnail here. Your nails have grown out, Tav.”
He grins, finally thinking he’s realized their ruse. When he looks up, he sees Tav give a tired smile, though she’s still in her disguise.
Instead of ending it there, she continues with a pleased hum, “Are my hands warm?”
“Yes, always. A little warmer today, but—what are you doing?” Astarion interjects, confused.
She never answers him properly at times like these. Instead, she asks him, “Do I smell bad?”
Astarion takes some time to mull it over before he shakes his head. “No… no, you rarely do. Well, my tastes deviate from others, and I take quite a delight when you’re covered in blood, of course, but—”
“What do I smell like?”
He takes in a breath of air, and then deeply exhales. Her scent is familiar, now. “Like… well, something floral, usually. A little like parchment, maybe the slightest of resin…”
She dispels the disguise. Even though it's just the two of them, it seems a bit reckless, considering he’s not sure how they'll escape. However, Tav usually thinks ahead more than he does, and Astarion doesn't have the time to dwell on it as she continues her line of questioning, “And do I look okay?”
Now that he sees her for her, his gaze drops into something more affectionate. “Your hair never sits quite right, here.” He says, teasing the rebellious tuft of hair on her head before flattening it. “There. Now you look perfect.”
He lingers a little when she finally lets go of his hands. He feels a little disappointed, but she self-consciously helps to flatten her hair. Astarion takes the opportunity to finally ask, “Care to tell me what all that was about?”
When he hears her normal voice, he feels soothed. “You weren’t here, fully. I wanted to bring you back.” She explains, like it’s the simplest thing. “If I let you continue, it felt like I would lose you. My only regret is not coming sooner…” she continues.
Astarion blinks in surprise. He realizes he hadn’t particularly been in pain, and part of him still feels like he wants to get lost in his own head, but Tav’s soft explanation—though he’s not quite listening to it so much as he is just relaxing into the comforting cadence of her voice—keeps pulling him back out of it.
The almost liberating numbness is inexplicably nudged to the side by his desire to feel her again.
Then it dawns on him, the gravity of his recent actions—how he had behaved when he was still feeling like a puppet on strings. He remembers pinning her against the wall, pressing his lips to hers, and he stammers, "Oh—I'm sorry for... I mean, I didn't mean to—"
"It was never going to happen," she states, and Astarion experiences a brief pang, a sting in a vulnerable spot, just for a moment. It's as though she's saying, I'm never going to sleep with you, but that’s what he wants, isn’t it? He wants not to sleep with her. He wants something beyond mere physical intimacy, and he has that with Tav.
Seeing his confusion, she snaps him out of his reverie and tells him, “It didn’t mean anything.”
This, in a way, makes the feeling worse because Astarion interprets it as ‘forget it ever happened’. But given that he’s still rather embarrassed about the whole ordeal—the inability to recognize her, his behaviour—he’s actually okay with complying.
So he takes her hands this time and rests his forehead against hers. She feels as warm as he remembers.
Finally, he responds. “Thank you.”
She seems to let him rest for a moment, and he sees her whisper a word of healing. He feels some of the earlier bruises and gashes heal themselves, and it’s not perfect, but he feels significantly better. At that time, he finally separates from her. But then, now that he’s fully present, he sees her as she is—she seems tired, her features gaunt, but she seems relieved.

alright writing a little smth for leilei and nerevar not liking bishop
riiju-lei by @mulberrycafe (dragonborn reincarnation of voryn dagoth)
Nerevar was shivering as they entered the inn, frost sticking to his cloak.
“I don’t know how you can stand this.” He rubbed his arms, while Riiju-lei laughed softly.
“I was raised here. It’s actually quite pleasant most of the time.” He explained, before laughing again. “Though even I’ll admit I was getting cold out there in the storm.”
The two had decided to make a little pilgrimage alone to Azura’s shrine in Skyrim as part of their honeymoon. It gave them quite a bit of time alone to enjoy the other’s company and for Riiju-lei to show the hortator the beautiful wilds of Skyrim. Of course a snowstorm meant the two would be much safer retreating into an inn rather than trying to set up camp.
Nerevar glared at him with a playful smile as he approached the hearth, removing his gloves to warm up.
“I’ll get us a room.” Riiju-lei said after giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
“i’ll even sleep on the floor if it gets me out of that storm, Leilei.” The Hortator called after him as he walked over to the counter. Riiji-lei chuckled softly, asking the woman at the bar if there were any rooms available, before being directed at a small room with a rather narrow bed that would barely fit the two of them covered in furs and heavy wool blankets. It was far more humble than the lavish temple in Mournhold, but he knew Nerevar wouldn’t mind so long as he got to sleep next to his husband and got to stay warm.
Just as he went to turn back to fetch Nerevar so the two could put their stuff down and take off some of their armor to get comfortable before eating, someone came up behind him, clearing their throat. Riiju-lei turned, seeing a tall nord with short brown hair, unlike how most nords typically kept their hair long and in elaborate braids. Maybe he was in the Imperial army, or maybe he just preferred the style. Either way, his cheeks were flushed and he swayed slightly, clearly intoxicated.
“I’ve never seen an altmer woman as short as you.” The nord chuckled. Riiju-lei at this very moment missed his empty, emotionless face from before he found his heart, as right now he couldn’t help but make a disgruntled look. Regardless of the face he made, the nord continued on, smug and full of himself. “It’s actually kind of cute. I don’t like women that are too tall. And you’re quite the exotic beauty.”
“I’m not an altmer.” Riiju-lei corrected him. “Nor am I a woman. You’re drunk.”
The man didn’t take well to that scowling.
“What do you mean not an altmer? Have you see yourself?”
“I was a dunmer. My skin now was a blessing from Azura.” The man rolled his eyes.
“Weird daedric superstitions... You must be some altmer and dunmer crossbreed then? And why all the jewelry if you aren’t even a woman--”
The nord was cut off by a hand grabbing his shirt from behind, dragging him back. Nerevar was smiling, but it was a terrifying, angry grin that showed he was close to snapping.
“My husband is simply wearing the jewelry I gave him.” Nerevar answered his question. “And I think we’d both prefer it if you kept your mouth shut and left us alone.”
The man turned sharply, glaring at him.
“Great, another short altmer.”
“Chimer.” Nerevar corrected. “Predecessors of the dunmer.” The nord seemed only more annoyed at the explanation, rolling his eyes.
“An elf is an elf. Sorry I don’t know all the nuances. If you have pointy ears and yellow skin what else am I supposed to assume?”
“You can assume nothing and mind your business.” Nerevar relied.
“And who the hell do you think you are, king?”
At that, Nerevar threw his head back and laughed. The few other dunmer pilgrims watched on with rapt attention; all of them knew who exactly Nerevar was, it was impossible not to, especially after word of the wedding in Mournhold spread.
“I am Hortator and king of Morrowind, Indoril Nerevar.” Nerevar gave a cocky smile.
“And I’m the emperor of Tamriel.” The nord scoffed.
“I see you don’t pay attention to many things outside of Skyrim.” It was Nerevar’s turn to roll his eyes. “Regardless, I’d prefer if you leave my husband alone.
“Or what?” The nord glared down at him condescendingly, haughty arrogance dripping from every word.
The next moment, however, the nord’s ass ended up on the floor as Nerevar wasted no time decking him in the face. The other patrons gasped, but not even the owners made a move to stop or reprimand the chimer. The nord howled in pain on the floor as Nerevar wrapped an arm around Riiju-lei’s waist.
“Come on, Leilei. Let’s go put our stuff down.”
Inside their room Nerevar shut the wooden door loudly, tossing his bag to the floor.
“I could have handled that, Nerevar.”
“I know.” Nerevar replied. “I didn’t mean to imply you couldn’t. I just know you don’t enjoy fighting, nor did I want you to dirty your hands dealing with a stupid drunk on our honeymoon.”
Riiju-lei laughed, putting a hand on Nerevar’s chest. “You know I’m a healer. I’m obligated to go fix his broken nose.”
Nerevar smiled back slyly. “I’m sure he’ll live.”
Riiju-lei rolled his eyes, giving Nerevar a kiss on the cheek. “At least let me try. Maybe your punch sobered him up.”
“You’re too kind for your own good, Leilei.” Nerevar held him firmly by the waist, clearly not wanting to let him go. He leaned down to kiss Riiju-lei warmly, sliding his lips against Riiju-lei’s with a clear passion and fire behind it. Breathlessly, Riiju-lei pulled away, golden cheeks flushed. Nerevar opened his mouth to speak when the door was roughly slammed open.
“Get back here you pointy eared little fuck.” The nord had blood running down his face, nose now crooked. “You can’t just punch me and walk away.”
“And to think my husband was actually going to offer you some healing magic...” Nerevar shook his head with a heavy sigh. “I see you still need some help sobering up.
“Nerevar,” Riiju-lei warned him. “I don’t want to see you get hurt.”
“Leilei, this isn’t the first barfight I’ve been in, and it will not be my last.” Nerevar kissed him on the cheek. “With guys like this it’s important they learn their lesson the hard way.”
“Nerevar--”
“I won’t rough him up too bad, Voryn.”
“After I kick his ass I’m coming for yours shortie.” The nord glared at Riiju-lei, making the chimer groan in annoyance.
“Nevermind. Just beat some sense into him however you need to.” Riiju-lei preferred there not be any violence, but he also was used to this sort of behavior at times. A stubborn nord would refuse to listen to anyone. He was just surprised it wasn’t in Windhelm.

Caz infodump, cw p much everything.
She Changes the way she behaves around people in order to make them like her the most/ hard to put down a “real” her. Fawn type personality through years of having to survive by being as charming and nice as possible as to not be targeted. People pleaser not through any need to actually be liked, but as a survival mechanism because she’s spent a large portion of her life in situations where she had absolutely zero power and had to rely on people on top of a power structure to find her absolutely perfect. Always gotta be nice/funny/demure/smart/not too smart/ dull/entertaining/boring/easy going/accepting/everything all at once but nothing too much. Able to alter her behavior and persona at the blink of a hat as to come across best to anyone who meets her. I think this is why it’s so hard for me to write for her- it’s finding the base her, and being able to look past all her different aspects of performance to see the man behind the curtain.
At a base level she is scared of everything and everyone. She wants to be and at some level is very selfless, wanting to help as many people as she can, but on on other level, instinctually gravitates towards whatever will ensure her own safety. Her first instinct isn’t to save someone else in trouble- it’s to save her own hide. It’s only through effort that she chooses the former. She doesn’t want to be selfish or thinking of herself first, she wants to be selfless and heroic. It just takes a lot of self control and decisions in order for her to actually be so. She’d love to be able to say she didn’t ever want or ask to have the power of inquisitor. But she’s dreamed of power for a long time- power means you can’t get hurt, and if you are hurt, power means others come and save you. On a darker level, power means she can hurt who she wants to, when she wants to. And caz wants to hurt a lot of people, though she denies it to herself and others.
Caz is prone to fits of paranoia and panic attacks. She smokes a lot of elf root to stave off panic attacks, though sometimes it has the opposite effect and she smoked too much and freaks out.
Caz likes being inquisitor. People show her respect. People worship her, and that brings safety and a measure of love.
Cazes parents were devout andrasteans, hated and feared all forms of magic. Caz showed signs of harboring magic from a. Very young age. They used to drown her in a pond and pray they could pray the magic away. Her dad was an abusive alcoholic who beat the shit out of her and her mom. Her mom blamed her for tying herself to her husband and ruining her life. She never beat her hard, but was more verbally abusive. Her dad beat her with things like wooden planks with nails in them hard enough to give her deep set wounds in her behind and back that got infected and inflamed. He once used a hammer to nail her ears to a table. Her dad would beat the hell out of her mom, and when he left, caz would try and comfort and heal her mom, who would slap her away in fits of despair and scream sobb about how caz couldn’t help her, how it was her fault.
After they told the circle about her and let them take her, about a year in her mom killed herself. When caz escaped and came back to help her she was already dead. Then the circle got her again and she was punished for escaping.
The circle was also not great. Very bad. Caz is very mentally ill for a reason. Sexual assault by the first and only Templars she trusted who knew her since she was a kid, watching her best friend kill himself by jumping out the highest tower window, constant surveillance and more assault and deaths.

BG3FicFeb Day 16
SFW: Inspired by your favorite song, poem, book.
I struggled a bit with this, as it is hard to pin down a specific media piece that I don’t just hyper fixate on for a while (Hi Baldur's Gate). By wonderful chance, one of my favorite full albums is The Hazards of Love by The Decemberists. It is a rock opera, that already tells a tragic story throughout the entire album, and the more I thought about it, the archetypes in it would fit very well into an AU story with characters from Baldur’s Gate 3.
This story is a tragedy, so beware that it is much different and darker than my usual angst and smut. I’ve cried like a baby in public listening to this album and cried writing the final song drabble. And sorry if this makes you hate Astarion a little. He is such a complex character, with a lot of potential to be good or evil.
Content Warnings: Sex, philandering, infanticide/filicide, kidnapping, attempted sexual assault, miscarriage, death/suicide. Nothing is written in graphic detail and is as concise as possible in its descriptions.
youtube
Prelude Margaret Tavish (AKA Tav) was promised to the Goddess Chauntea and lives in the cloister in Baldur’s Gate, as a young initiate. William Halsin was abandoned at birth by his impoverished wood elf parents and was discovered by the cruel Goddess Talona, who raised him as her child. She granted him Druidic powers as well as immortality.
The Prettiest Whistles Won’t Wrestle the Thistles Undone (The Hazards of Love Part 1)
Tav borrowed a horse from the cloister stables, intending to go for a short ride. She hated the coldness of the city, even though the cloister of Chauntea was covered in nature. She put a gray cloak over her white and green initiates robe, and sat side-saddle, riding at a soft gallop past the walls of the city, heading to the small forest nearby. She found a good spot to tie up her horse and went to explore the forest, hoping to bring back some medicinal plants for the Mother Superior.
As she gathered a handful of thistle, she saw a flash of white in her peripheral vision. She glanced over, seeing a pure white fawn struggling to walk, its hind leg maimed by a hunter’s trap. The fawn caught her glance, but did not run, staring back at her. “Don’t worry,” Tav put up her hands, setting her thistle down. “I won’t hurt you.”
The fawn’s ears twitched in response, as if it could understand her. “I know a healing spell,” she eased to her feet, hoping the creature would let her approach. “I can try to heal you.”
She approached it slowly, its eyes fixed on her with curiosity. It had laid down, its breath rapid from its struggle to walk. “It’s alright,” she knelt beside it, reaching her hands out to begin weaving the healing spell.
As the magic flowed around her hands, the fawn suddenly began to change, its white fur turning to golden brown skin and growing to the size of a man. He was handsome, with long brown hair that was half pulled up around his pointed ears. He had a sturdy frame and eyes that shone with kindness. Tav felt a heat growing over her as the man stared into her eyes. “Thank you,” he said, taking her hands gently in his.
“Are…are you a Druid?” She asked, feeling a blush across her face. Her life in the cloister was fairly sheltered, but he was the most handsome man she’d ever seen in all her time in the city.
“Something like that,” he nodded with a smile. “What is your name?”
“Margaret…but everyone calls me Tav.”
“You can call me Halsin,” he responded, her hands still held in his. They blushed at each other awkwardly, their eyes fixed on one another.
“Will you be alright?” she finally asked, looking down at his ankle, still red from the wound he’d sustained in his wild shape.
“I think so,” he tried to stand up with her help.
He stumbled a bit, pulling her close as he did. They looked into one another’s eyes again, both utterly and completely smitten. “I have never met anyone more beautiful in my entire life,” he brushed a strand of hair from her face.
“You are the most handsome man I have ever seen,” she reached up to caress his cheek, already feeling her body collapsing against him. Their connection was magnetic and instant.
He bent down to kiss her, softly at first, but feeling an immediate ardor and lust for her, engulfing her in a long, slow kiss. When he was finally able to wrest his mouth from hers, she looked up at him with that same ardor, her heart racing along with his. He pulled her in for another kiss, their bodies melting into one. They found their way to the forest floor, slowly pulling their clothes off. They made love gently, under the canopy of the forest, their moans joined by birdsong and the soft whisper of the wind. At the end of their ecstatic joining, they lay nestled together on Tav’s grey cloak. “I’m sorry, Halsin, but I have to go,” Tav looked up at the fading daylight. The Mother Superior would already be upset that she’d been gone this long, if she didn’t make it home before dark, there would be greater consequences.
“I wish we could stay here forever,” he gazed into her eyes, but understood that she couldn’t just disappear.
“Will I ever see you again?” She asked as she reached for her clothes.
“I wander through these forests quite frequently. If you ever find yourself here again, just sing for me, and I will come,” he kissed her again.
They both dressed and shared one last kiss, promising each other they would meet again soon. He left her at the forest’s edge, watching her ride back towards the city. He felt the darkness of the forest creeping in on him, a waft of decay filling the air. His mother was calling for him to return. He shifted into his wild shape, ambling away as Tav’s figure grew even more distant.
A Bower Scene
When Tav returned to the cloister after dark, the Mother Superior gave her an earful, revoking her stable privileges for three months. Tav sulked back to her room, but as she lay down in bed, his warm seed still inside her, she felt it was worth it. She thought about him every day, clasping her hand to her thigh as she remembered the wonderful moment they shared.
When her bleeding didn’t come a month later, she felt both panic and elation. The Mother Superior would be livid to find her with child, but Tav didn’t care. She just hoped she could hide her pregnancy for the remaining two months and then she would just disappear with one of the horses.
Secrets weren’t easily kept in the cloister, and by the second month all the other initiates were gossiping behind Tav’s back. When word reached the Mother Superior, she called Tav into her chambers. “So, Margaret…I’ve heard talk that you’ve missed your bleeding two months in a row…I assume it was the wretch that kept you away until dark?”
“He’s not a wretch, Mother Superior! I love him,” Tav confessed.
“Love, my sweet child? Has he ever come to see you here? I know you haven’t had visitors in the past two months, unless you have been sneaking off. He bedded and forgot you and left you in a bad way. You will not be able to raise a child here. It will be put up for adoption as soon as you deliver it.”
“You can’t take my child away,” Tav clutched her stomach, her small bump just beginning to form.
“I can and I will,” the Mother insisted. “You were entrusted to my care, to shape you into a loyal servant of Chauntea. I will do just that.”
“Damn you!” Tav swore, running out of her chambers in tears.
She went to her dorm, crying on her bed, cradling her stomach in her hands. “I know Halsin loves me. I felt it in the way he looked at me, and the joy I felt with him,” she cried to herself. She brooded for a while, hatching a plan in her mind as her tears dried. She waited until dark, sneaking past the older clerics who kept an eye over the initiates and sneaked into the stables. She left everything behind in her room, aside from her robes and cloak. She didn’t even bother saddling the horse, riding it bareback out of the city and towards the forest.
Won’t Want for Love (Margaret in the Taiga)
Margaret left the horse, leaving it untied so it could wander its way back to the city. She conjured a simple Light spell and began to make her way into the forest. She had no idea if Halsin was near, but she was determined to keep walking until she could find him, singing a soft song to herself. Exhaustion eventually overtook her and she lay down in a patch of Columbine flowers, wrapping her cloak around her. When she awoke in the morning, greeted by the sweet song of a mistle thrush, she continued her journey.
Halsin had returned to the forest many times in the past two months, hoping to see Tav again. He also sang as he walked, hoping to call his true love to him. He couldn’t imagine what had kept her away, knowing in his heart that they were destined to be together. Just as he’d almost lost hope, he heard a quiet voice drift along the wind. He followed the sound, finding Tav wandering the forest, half-starved and weak from exhaustion.
He ran to her at once, lifting her off her feet with a happy shout. “Tav, my heart, I knew you would return,” he set her down, planting a kiss on her lips.
“Halsin,” she smiled up at him. “I’m so sorry it took me so long…the Mother Superior would let me…”
“It doesn’t matter now,” he kissed her again, holding her close. “You are here now…and…” He felt the slight roundness of her belly against his. “You are…pregnant?” He beamed.
“I am,” she smiled as he dropped to his knees and kissed her belly.
Wager All (The Hazards of Love Part 2)
Halsin whisked her away, finding her food and water and making a soft bed for them among the clover. They made love again, remaining in their lover’s repose until the birds called the dawn upon them. He weaved flowers into her hair as they walked among the trees, already making plans for themselves and their new child. They would somehow make a life for themselves among these woods, their love the only thing that mattered.
The Queen’s Approach
They had no idea they were being watched by dark and pestilent eyes.
Isn’t It A Lovely Night?
Tav and Halsin settled in for another night in the forest, a cloud of fireflies shining down as they lay nestled against one another on a thick carpet of thistledown. Halsin lay with his head resting on her stomach, singing softly to their unborn child. “I knew from that first moment, when we lay together, that I loved you,” he looked up at her, gently stroking her skin.
“And what a wonderful gift that moment gave us,” she smiled down at him, her fingers interwined in his hair.
“I hope to give you many more,” he found his way up to her lips, kissing her softly. They made love once again, oblivious to the dark shadows creeping around them.
The Wanting Comes in Waves/ Repaid
Halsin awoke in the middle of the night, the cold, cruel air disturbing his skin. He once again smelled decay and heard the quiet cracking of twigs underfoot, like bones snapping out of flesh. He got up carefully, wrapping Tav in her cloak so she would not wake. He walked towards the void in the forest, that was bereft of all sound and life. “Mother…I know you are here,” he spoke into the darkness.
The hiss in the wind answered him. “This is how I am repaid?”
“I owe you everything, Mother. My entire life and my powers. But…I love her.”
“I gave you everything, my son. I saved you from death, made you undying, let you wander at your will. But you find yourself wanting more. This is how I am repaid?”
“I did not mean for this to happen…but how can I turn my back on her now?”
“You would not exist without me. You would have died in your crib. It is you who have turned your back on me. This is how I am repaid?”
“Please,” Halsin begged. “Just allow me one more night with her. Let me take her to safety. I have served you for so long, you owe me a life. Just one night.”
“And if I grant this request? I will keep you forever afterwards, never to return to the mortal world.”
“Fine,” he nodded, knowing he would never return to her.
“Consider your debt repaid,” the wind howled, pulling his immortality and powers from him, the darkness seeping away.
An Interlude
Halsin returned to Tav, still sleeping peacefully. He lay down beside her, wondering how he could escape his mother. She might not even allow him to escape, her powers reaching far and wide. He would enjoy all the time left he had with his love, pulling her bundled frame close to him. He slipped an amber ring onto her finger, a trinket he’d found during his time wandering the forest. If his mother managed to take him, she would still have a small reminder of him.
The Rake’s Song
Astarion had been afforded every luxury in his life, the son of a noble Upper City family. He was already a magistrate at the young age of 21 and could have anything he wanted. One day his eyes set upon a beautiful woman and he married her at once, bedding her nightly, even when she became heavy with child. They named their firstborn Isaiah and soon enough, his wife found herself pregnant once again. He still enjoyed the fruits of other women, returning to berate his wife for losing her figure and otherwise ignoring his infant son.
When his wife gave birth to twin girls, Charlotte and a terribly colic Dawn, he felt himself suddenly trapped in his own personal Hell. His lust for his wife had been the only thing on his mind when they’d married and now he was stuck in a house full of screaming children. His wife grew frail and overwhelmed, him continuing to bed her as often as she had the energy for and even sometimes when she didn’t. She found herself once again pregnant with their fourth child.
By some miracle of a cruel God, or just his constant neglect and abuse, his wife passed in childbirth along with their unborn daughter, who he barely even bothered to name Myfanwy. Now a widower, he found himself caring for three unwanted children with an armful of servants to do what they could. It wasn’t enough and he began to plan for their untimely deaths. He poisoned one of his daughters with a sweet laced with foxglove. Dawn, who had developed asthma due to her colic, drowned easily when she was left in a bath unattended. Isaiah was the trickiest to get rid of, old enough to avoid his cruel father. He fought back when Astarion tried suffocating him with a pillow, managing to crack one of his ribs with a sharp kick, but still he passed and Astarion burned his body in the fireplace.
Astarion returned to his old life of philandering, bedding whoever he wished, without a second thought or regret about his dead children. His cruelty caught the eye of an equally cruel Goddess, who came to him one night with a proposition, which he accepted. He left his manor in Baldur’s Gate and rode towards the forest that lay outside the city.
The Abduction of Margaret
Halsin had left Tav to sleep some more, wandering the forest in search of food for her, still trying to figure out a way to escape from his mother’s clutches. Guided by the whispering voice of Talona, Astarion found his way to the sleeping woman. He seized her with a firm hand as she slept, clapping his hand over her mouth and pressing his body on top of her to bind her wrists and ankles. “What are you doing? Who are you?” She cried before he gagged her and slung her rudely across the back of his horse. Talona guided him again, this time towards the Chiontar River.
The Queen’s Rebuke/ The Crossing
Talona would see her son returned to her, no matter what. Margaret would be the one thing that could keep him from her, so she offered the woman’s life to Astarion to do as he pleased. There was little that could stop her powers, commanding all the cruelties of nature. When Astarion arrived to the raging river on horseback, with Tav bound and gagged, she parted the waters for him to cross safely. Halsin would never be able to follow them across the rapids and it would take more than a day for him to find a way around. By then, she would be able to reclaim him, as dawn came and his promised night of freedom was over.
Annan Water
Halsin had heard Margaret’s strangled cry and had run back to the glade he’d left in, only to see her being carried away by a white haired elf. He followed as quickly as his legs could carry him, managing to steal a pair of horses from a nearby homestead. He rode furiously in pursuit of the rake who had stolen his beloved, but found his path blocked by the raging river in front of him. He rode up and down the banks, looking for a safe place to cross but found none.
He tried to summon any residual magic, so he could wild shape into a bird, but his mother had taken everything but his life from him. “Margaret!” He screamed into the air, praying that some other deity might grant him the favor of seeing his beloved again. He swore he could hear her calling him, her voice strangled by some force. He collapsed onto the bank, beating his fists into the ground, his tears flowing into the river. “Please,” he begged. “I will offer you my life in return. Just let me cross and see her again.
Margaret in Captivity
Astarion pulled Tav rudely off his horse, setting her down on the ground without a care. He sunk onto an old chair and grinned at her terrified eyes. “Now, what to do with you, my pretty thing?” He looked her over. She was barely clothed aside from the cloak wrapped around her. He looked at the round of her stomach with disgust. “Already ruined I see,” he sneered at her. His divine employer had not mentioned that fact. “Oh well,” he sighed, pulling out his dagger. “That just means I won’t keep you around for long, but we can still have some fun.” He took his dagger to the binding on her ankles, pressing himself on top of her as she screamed and thrashed against him, calling for Halsin to find her. “No one can hear you, darling,” he began to cut off what clothing she was wearing. “And the more you struggle, the more I’ll like it.”
She closed her eyes as his knife torn away her clothing and his hands groped her vulgarly. She called to Halsin, to her former Goddess Chauntea, to anyone who could bring her true love to her side and rescue her from the rogue’s cruelty.
Revenge! (The Hazards of Love 3)
Astarion reached down to unbutton himself, the woman no longer struggling against him. He’d almost hoped that she would, but perhaps after the third or fourth time she would. He felt a chill run down his spine as he pulled at his buttons, looking back towards the whisper he’d heard in his ear. “Father…the pie…it burns my belly…father,” he heard a quiet, child-like voice whisper.
“What?” He looked around, seeing nothing around him. He’d nearly turned his attentions back to Tav, before another voice whispered to him. “Papa, my bath, the water is too high, and I have no breath…”
“Who’s there?” He climbed off Tav, seizing his dagger again.
He saw the faint red glow of a fire down the hall, figuring there must be some other squatter in the ruined fort. He gripped his dagger tightly. Perhaps he would get to kill two people today. He crept quietly down the hall, approaching the glow, and seeing it form the figure of a small boy. “Isaiah?” he dropped his dagger, the fiery figure having the visage of his murdered son.
“Father,” the boy smiled, holding out his glowing hands to his killer. “We’ve returned to you.”
Astarion felt two tiny, icy hands grip his wrists, looking down to see the wraiths of his dead daughters holding him tightly. “The hazards of love, the hazards of love,” they sang to him, dragging him into the fire as he screamed in agony.
The Wanting Comes in Waves (Reprise)
Tav heard nothing for a while, after the screams of the man that had abducted her faded. Her hands were still bound, but she managed to get to her feet, still unsure if he was still there. She managed to pull her cloak around her and peeked tentatively down the hall. She was no signs of the man, aside from his dagger that sat on the ground. She went to retrieve it, finding nothing else aside from a slight scorch mark on the floor, as if someone had made a fire there. She picked up the dagger and cut her bindings, hanging onto the weapon when she heard footsteps.
Halsin rounded the corner, seeing her crouched in her cloak and seized her in his arms right away. “My heart. My one true love,” he held her tightly as they both cried.
“I thought I’d never see you again,” she wiped his tears away.
“I had to tell you I loved you first,” he squeezed her tighter.
The Drowned (The Hazards of Love Part 4)
They left the ruined fort, huddled against one another, finding an old boat pulled onto the bank. “My mother will never stop pursuing me,” Halsin held Tav tightly against him. “And I swore a promise to this river…if it allowed me to cross…to hold you one more time…in return for my life.”
“I don’t want to leave you…” Tav cried. “I can’t leave you. Let us give both our lives to it then.”
“No,” he hugged her against him. “You should live…for our child.”
“I think…the child is gone,” she cried, showing him the blood on her thighs. She had felt the loss as the man had carried her away.
“Then let us make this river our bed, forever…married under its waves,” he looked down at her.
She joined hands with him and they pulled the boat into the water together, climbing into it before it was swept away by the rushing current. It began to flood almost immediately, water gushing into the holes in the bow and over its sides as they drifted down the rapids. They held onto each other tightly, saying their silent vows, their lips sharing their final breaths.
“These hazards of love, never more will trouble us.”

Tried to make Erwin and meee
Perhaps a princess and her personal guard whom is from a noble house?
Being a queen is too much work but a friendly, sweet, yet irresponsible princess would fit me well lol
She isn't really in any sort of danger but gets bored a lot so this capable warrior aka Erwin serves mostly as a companion rather than a guard.
At first he'd stay quiet as he follows her around, only speaking when necessary, not that he's shy it's just that he wishes to remain professional, but as a little time goes by, the princess would quickly reassure him that it's alright for him to drop the unnecessary professionalism and hold conversations with her. it takes some time to convince him as he believes he must not get distracted from his duty and blah blah but eventually the princess's comforting nature helps him to relax a bit.
They grow to have so much respect for one another, enjoying the intellectual conversations they have from time to time, exchanging their view on life.
Erwin would teach her some basic self defense even though she's already been taught, duh. But she definitely needs them since she never really took them seriously. Not that she's not good at the basic stuff, it's more of a mindset problem. She walks around without being aware of her surroundings and surely isn't ready to put what she knows to use. Too optimistic to think it would ever be needed. Which makes Erwin's job all the more important.
I don't think anything romantic would happen between them, at least not for a long time since she's not looking for love and Erwin is too professional to let himself get carried away. But did they develop feelings for each other? Maybe. Nothing that could be called love yet. But a sense of care and respect, a protectiveness that goes beyond duty. A tenderness and THE SEXUAL TENSION, like please!
Will it ever become something more? I don't think so. She would get scared and pull away. If Erwin ever lets himself pursue her, and if he's gentle yet sure enough about it, maybe there's a chance.
And no there won't be any of that "no you can't marry him, he's not a prince" bs. The king and queen don't treat their daughter like some peace treaty. Princess Bita can marry any man or woman she desires. And so she lived happily ever after 👸🏻♡
That was my bedtime story for myself. Nighty. Muah. zZZ
#wow it's fun writing stuff like that#Erwin x Bita#attack on titan#erwin smith#picrew#Ik it's not picrew. leave me alone#and I forgot to post it before sleeping#selfship

The Blossom surrounded by Fire - Ch. 14 (Warrior AU- HBO MAX)
“You could leave, but it could be a very painful journey if you don’t know where to go. You could end up back in slavery.” she said. I looked away with a wince.
“But you don’t belong in a tong either. You’d be looked down upon and they wouldn’t see a reason to respect you because you don’t look like them.” She said flatly. I nodded.
“My thoughts exactly.” I replied. She leaned back a bit.
“But that may be exactly what you need right now.” she replied. I looked up at her stunned.
“What?” I asked and she nodded standing up and moving up to me, half her face done with makeup.
“Everyone starts out as an onion in our journey through life, but even in a world of madness and hatred, even you can make a name for yourself.” she said. I tilted my head in confusion. How was that possible?
“You are thinking with the mind of a duck when viewing your world, you should be thinking just like the rest of us. You are a rare gem in Chinatown. In the duck world you would be seen as uppity because you’re smart. But here, you would have a chance to grow and change some people’s view to fit your survival needs. You are the only African here, and with ears like those, you could be seen as good luck or bad luck, and your willingness to help those around you could get you in the good graces of the tong leaders. You’d grow from an onion to a healer of worth.” she explained. I never thought of it like that.
“But to pledge my loyalty to one tong and turn others away-”
“Is the price you may have to pay in order to stay alive. You have to put yourself first. You think if there was a riot going on and the ducks came crashing through here, destroying everything in their sight, that any Chinese help you? No. You have to secure your own legacy before that of anyone else’s.” she said. I winced and looked down at my empty cup. She was right. I cared about everyone except the main important person, myself. Chao can’t protect me forever nor could he put his business and legacy on hold for me. I would have to find my own way eventually, so why not now.
I nodded.
“You are right. I cannot hide from Zing forever, he will never honor the freelance work I do.” I replied. She nodded moving back over to her vanity and continued with her make up.
“So what will you do? Will you choose a tong or take your chance out in the world?” she asked. I scoffed.
“The world has only offered me pain and captivity. I want to do whatever it takes to stay free.” I replied. She nodded painting her lips with red lipstick.
“Don’t we all.” she said. After I returned to Chao’s shop, I remained in my bed. I just wanted to relax and not think of anything right now. And the world gave me that. I slept hard and when I awoke, I forced myself to stay busy. I was visited by some people on behalf of their ill family members. Thank the lord they were getting better but were out of herbs to kick the illness. I was discreet with giving them what they needed as to not interfere with Chao’s business. Within three days, I had my life back. I didn’t want to continue seeing people at Chao’s store, but when I offered to go back out, he talked me into staying put for a bit just to ensure Zing and his gang weren’t in the shadows somewhere. So to keep myself busy when I wasn’t helping others, I helped Chao integrate immigrants who came off the boat and into Chinatown.
I guess seeing a pretty woman with “elf ears” made them a bit mesmerized. I sat quietly next to Chao in his carriage as he explained the new life to a young man who was scrapping pretty well with some bullies off the boat.
“Yes, I think the Hop Wei would be perfect for you… they have a real sense of brotherhood.” he explained. I remained quiet as I listened, and the young man looked at me and I just gave a warm smile. I noticed he was admiring my black dress. It wasn’t wealthy by any standard, but standing beside Chao, he thought it was time I updated my wardrobe to match his status when standing with him.
We were in Hop Wei territory now and the carriage stopped a few feet from the familiar Hop Wei playing their usual game. Now I felt a slight pit in my stomach. I hadn’t seen any Hop Wei members since Chao came for me. I could see the familiar slick back of Bolo’s hair, the red of his vest.
Chao stepped out first before leaning in to take my hand. I smiled and took it, stepping out and following him to the tong members. Young Jun was the first to look up.
“Holy shit, it’s been a while since I saw your pretty face around here, Amaka!” he exclaimed as he stood up. Bolo turned to look, and his eyes seemed to widen at the sight of me and he leaned up some as if he were at attention. I just smiled and bowed to Young Jun.
“It has been a while. I hope you are well.” I replied softly and Young Jun smirked.
“Still itching to see if I can handle you, as usual. Oh, and nice to see you too, Chao.” he said with less enthusiasm before looking back at me as if shocked. “You cut your hair; I like it. Really makes your ears pop!”
He made a move to touch my hair and I just leaned back.
“Still not an animal you can touch when you want.” I said with a watchful gaze, but my smirk led him to believe I was being playful. He chuckled.
“Spend one night with me and you’ll be begging me to touch you.” He said with a purr. I found his attempt at charm a bit amusing, and I leaned into him some.
“Something tells me that if I spend a night with you, you’ll be aching for me to touch you long after I leave your bed.” I said lowly. I could see the sheer excitement grow in his eyes, and the agony growing in Bolo’s so I leaned back.
“Whooo hooo, Chao, when are you gonna give the go ahead for this sticky here!” he asked looking at Chao who just smirked.
“When I know you can handle the addiction that comes with her… but I have someone for you to meet.” he said motioning toward the carriage. The man off the boat was still there, looking all around. He looked so out of place. Young Jun smirked.
“Don’t bother waving him over, I’ll walk to him. You and I have some business to talk about anyways.” he said. Chao nodded looking at me and motioning for me to stay here. One Hop Wei followed Yung Jun and Chao over to the carriage leaving me beside the rest. Bolo was standing there just looking down at me, and I just felt that knot inside me tighten.
“Hello, Bolo.” I replied. He cleared his throat and placed his smoke between his lips before now standing straight up and looking forward.
“Amaka.” he said trying to remain professional. I just nodded and kept my hands together as I watched Chao and Young Jun at the carriage. I could only make out some of what they were saying.
“That’s a pretty dress.” he said stoically. I gave the smallest of smiles.
“Thank you.” I replied and now it was quiet between us.
“Heard you got into some trouble with the Fung Hai.” he said.
I nodded.
“All a misunderstanding. Chao had some issues with Zing, and to keep the peace, I offered my services to his men with some wounds is all.” I replied.
“You were gone for a while…” he noted.
“The cost of doing business with a tong.” I said lowly and now we were quiet for a moment. I noticed he stepped a bit closer, his shoulder edging toward mine and I just looked down.
“Did he hurt you?” he asked lowly. I looked up slowly. He didn't have to say his name for me to know who he meant.
“It’s nothing I haven’t experienced before. I made it out in one piece and shorter hair and that’s what matters.” I replied just watching Chao and Young Jun talk and shake hands. He finally looked my way and waved me over. Time to go. I turned to face Bolo and he just looked down at me.
“Meet me at the brothel tonight?” he asked. I wasn’t expecting that.
“Is that that the only place you can stand to talk to me at?” I asked. He looked insulted by my words and looked around before leaning toward me.
“I came to Chao’s shop looking for you, but you were handling business with the Fung Hai.” he said. I winced and nodded.
“I will try to be there.” I replied and quickly turned to walk toward the carriage. Young Jun was walking past me, with the man off the boat behind him, when he smirked at me.
“Until we meet again, sweet Amaka.” he said. I smiled and bowed.
“Until next time, Young Jun.” I replied and moved over to the carriage. Chao helped me on and once settled the carriage took off.
“Well one thing’s for certain, and two things for sure, that hatchet man missed you.” he said looking out into the town. I didn’t say anything at first, just looked down smiling some.
“I missed him, and I missed you.” I replied. Chao looked at me with a smile patting the top of my leg.
“Have you thought about what we discussed, about you joining a tong?” he asked. I nodded.
“Yes, but it’s not like I should just go approach both leaders and ask to be their healers.” I replied.
“Well you may not have to. Young Jun has informed me that his father has taken a special interest in you with your healing abilities. He will be calling soon to speak with you to see if you are worthy enough to be his personal healer, and the healer to the tong.” he replied. I nodded slowly drinking in his words, then remembered he had spoken with Mai Ling about the same thing.
“And Long Zii?” I asked, and he nodded.
“I haven’t heard back yet, but Mai Ling liked the idea of having you in her home. I think she just needs more friends.” he said, and I held back my laughter now at his words. I didn’t know the woman and did not want to judge.
“So now I just need to decide between the Hop Wei or Long Zii.” I replied and he nodded before his smile fell some.
“You don’t need me to tell you what happens if you pledge loyalty to one tong. That means you cannot help any other tong members or their families. You may be able to get away with helping the citizens of the town, but even that may be playing it close. When you choose a tong, although you will have protection you will also have a target on your back from rival tongs.” He explained. I nodded.
“And with the Hop Wei constantly fighting with the Long Zii, I will definitely be busy. If I choose Hop Wei, I’ll be able to be closer to you?” I asked and he nodded.
“Yes. But Hop Wei is dealing in opium meaning the heat from the bulls will be on them and you will have to deal with them as well.” he said, and I nodded looking down with slight worry.
“And if I choose the Long Zii, I would be further from you…” my words trailed off and he nodded.
"And you would not be allowed to see Bolo ever again.” he said. I winced and ran my fingers through my hair unused to the shortness still.
“It’s a lot to think about. But I know I have to do what’s safest for me.” I replied and he nodded in agreement.
“You do.” he said. I nodded and looked ahead feeling dread fill me some.
“Can we go to the brothel tonight? I think I just want to get lost in the touches of a man tonight.” I replied looking at him seriously and Chao nodded.
“I think after what you went through, you deserve whatever you want.” he said, and I smiled and took his hand and he gave me a warm smile before we both looked ahead and enjoyed the ride.

The Fox and The Shepard Prologue Chapter 2
Read Chapter 1 here
Prologue Chapter 2: The Fox Meets the Shepard.
Syngorn, 822PD.
I stood at the top of our second-floor steps staring down at all the people who were chattering away at the grand entrance of our home. I crinkled my nose at the thought of having to meet so many people, I felt a soft gentle hand smooth down some of the hair on top of my head and I looked up to see my mother Rathiain looking down at me with a gentle smile. A lot of people say I look like my mother as we shared similar appearance traits, long fluffy pale pink hair, porcelain skin and striking lavender eyes. The only thing we didn’t share when it came to looks was the two moles that were placed right under my left eye, that was something I had gotten from my father.
“You look beautiful my darling.” She said smiling at me, I returned her smile.
“You look pretty too mother.” I said, my mother was dressed in a long deep purple dress that tightly fit her figure showing off all her curves, her hair was delicately pinned up in a rose braid design with a purple gem holding it in place and matching jewelry hung from her neck and long pointed ears. She took my hand as she started to drag me down the stairs her black heels making clicking sounds as it made contact with the marble floor. I noticed curious glances at us as we made our way down to the bottom of the steps. I didn’t recognize anyone in the room, many of them were elves but the room was filled with a variety of different people. I felt excitement bubble in my chest taking in the faces of goblins, dragonborn, dwarfs, and many others. My mother led me towards the grand room that my parents used to host their events. I instantly caught sight of my father Almar, who is a rather tall high elf wearing a dark blue suit that fitted his slender figure, his short brown hair was combed neatly, and he was happily talking to another elf I didn’t recognize. I broke free of my mother’s grasp running towards my father “Father! Father!” I shouted as I wrapped my arms around his leg, I heard him let out a small sigh.
“Sonia darling it is not very lady like to run and shout.” He scolded me, I felt my excitement fizzle as I let go of his leg to fiddle with my fingers as I stared at the ground. “I’m sorry about that, my daughter is still learning how to act during these events.”
“It’s alright, I don’t have much experience coming to events like this as I’m simply just a merchant.” The man my father was speaking to said, I looked up meeting his gaze. His yellowish green eyes soften when I made contact, and a soft smile graced his dark copper skin. He had long black hair that he had braided to the side and his clothes though not the fanciest still looked respectful. I felt another set of eyes on me and looked away from the man to see a boy standing next to him. He didn’t look much older than me, he looked at me with a tad shocked expression at my sudden appearance. I was equally shocked as I was not expecting to see someone my age here. I could tell the boy was also an elf based on his long pointed ears, he had pale skin that was slightly tanned in color with freckles that speckled his face and down his neck. His eye were the same color as the man standing next to him with thick circular glasses that framed his face, he had copper colored hair that was pulled back into a small ponytail and his clothes were of the same quality as the man’s not too fancy but fancy enough that no one would complain. “You must be Lady Sonia; your father has talked very much about you. My name is Varo Foxfire.” He reached down and put a hand on top of the boy’s head “this is my son Oleander Foxfire, but we just call him Ollie. I brought him along hoping that the two of you could be friends as you are both close in age, I hope that’s alright” he said now addressing my father who pressed his lips into a firm line as if he wasn’t truly fond of the idea, but before my father could say no, I quickly grabbed the boys hand who seem to jolt at my touch not expecting me to grab him.
“We have a huge library want to see?” I asked excitedly, the boy glanced between his father and mine unsure of what to do. I looked up at my father trying to plead with my eyes to let us go and my father sighed clearly frustrated with me as he knew I was using this as an excuse to escape this party. I heard the clacking of heels and turned to see my mother.
“Let them go darling, you know Sonia doesn’t have many chances to make friends her age.” My mother spoke, my father sighed again.
“Alright. You two go play but behave yourself.” He said looking directly at me with firm eyes and I nodded tightening my grip on the boy’s hand dragging him out of the room while my parents continued to talk to Varo. The boy was silent as I dragged him through the house passing some of the guests who just gave us smiles and a few whispered about how cute we were. Finally, we made our way down a long hallway with many windows on the left side of us while on the right were rows of fancy paintings and few portraits of myself and my family. At the end of the hallway was a big set of dark wooden doors with elvish accents carved into it. I pushed open the door revealing a huge room with walls of books that were at least two stories tall and a huge stain glass window that touched the bottom of the floor reaching all the way to the ceiling, the sun was hitting it just right as lights of blue, red and green danced across the dark wooden floors. I heard a woe come from the boy next to me and I spun around to look at him.
“Your father said your name is Oleander is that like the flower? How old are you? Where are you from? What’s your family like? Do you have a favorite color? I have a favorite color its-“He let go of my hand pressing it against my mouth to stop me from talking.
“You talk too much.” Was all he said as he removed his hand from my mouth, I blinked at him a bit taken back by the blunt statement. “Also, it’s just Ollie, I don’t like it when people call me Oleander.” He said walking further into the room to look at the books on the wall nearby.
“Why? it’s a pretty name.” I said, he turned to look at me the light hitting the side of his face making the colors appear on the side of his cheek and his eyes sparkled a bit.
“Everyone always makes fun of me for it because I’m named after a flower. It’s not scary.” He said.
“But Oleanders are poisonous? Just because something looks harmless doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous. I think your name is cool and plenty scary.” He looked at me in disbelief of what I had just said before he covered his mouth turning away from me, I was about to ask what was wrong when I saw his shoulders shaking along with a few laughs that escaped his mouth. I puffed up my cheeks “hey are you laughing at me?!” I shouted and he turned back towards me.
“Yeah” he said honestly “but I’m not making fun of you, it’s just do, you always say whatever comes to mind?” he asked
“Maybe? Is that weird?” I asked a bit sheepishly now feeling a bit self-conscious. He shook his head.
“I don’t think so.” I felt myself smile at his words as he turned his attention back to the bookcase “do all these books belong to you?” he asked, I shook my head.
“No, I have a bookshelf in my room with my own books, these are ones my parents have collected. I still like to come in here and read them though, they are filled with information about different things around Exandria. One day I’m going to travel and see all the places in these books.” I said happily as I picked out a book specifically on a town called Whitestone. “I really want to go here, it says that the Lady of Whitestone is originally from Syngorn and shes a member of Vox Machina.” I said flipping to a page showing Lady Vex’ahila De Rolo holding the book up to show Ollie.
“I have been there.” He said, my jaw practically hit the floor as I shut the book clutching it to my chest.
“Really!?” I shouted, he nodded. “Did you get to meet the De Rolos’!?” I asked excitingly as I closed the distance between us our faces now really close. I saw his face flush red before he put distance between us and he shook his head.
“No, I never saw them, I was only there for about a week. My father works for a man named Mr. Gilmore and we travel from towns all over Tal’Dorei to pick up odd magical items then my father sells them to Mr. Gilmore to put in his store, but now my father wants to open up his own store here in Syngorn. I don’t really know the details, but apparently Mr. Gilmore has been wanting to open up a shop here for a while and is using my father’s connections in Syngorn to do it.” he said crossing the room to sit on the couch that was next to the window and I followed him sitting down right next to him.
“So, that’s why your father is talking to my father? So he can open this store?” I asked and Ollie nodded.
“Yeah, Mr. Gilmore said that if my father can get the funding and secure a building to open a shop that my father can run the store here in Syngorn. Which means that we will move here, I’m not really excited about that.” He said as he swung his legs back and forth as they didn’t quite reach the floor from where he was sitting on the couch.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because I like traveling and meeting new people, I want to be a merchant when I grow up and I want to travel all over Exandria.” I smiled at his words as we both seemed to share the same dream.
“Can I go with you?” I asked.
“Do you know how to sell things?” He asked, I shook my head.
“No, oh but I’m going to learn how to tell fortunes!” I said excitingly getting off the couch to walk over to one of the bookshelves closest to the window pulling out a couple books to reveal a broken piece of wood which I pulled out to reveal my secret stash. Ollie came over to see what I was doing.
“what’s all this stuff?” he asked.
“My collection of important things.” I said reaching in pulling out various objects such as a small hand mirror, some crystal carvings I had gotten from a Fey from the Feygrove and finally pulling out the black wooden box. I stuffed the other stuff back into the spot before placing the wood back and covering it with the book I had pulled out. “Do you know who the Change-bringer is?” I asked, Ollie nodded.
“Yeah she’s the goddess of fate, many merchants follow her thinking she will bring them luck, but my father doesn’t believe in things like luck. He always says you have to work hard to get what you want and you can’t rely only on luck.” He said, as I took out the deck of cards sitting on the floor trying and failing to shuffle them as they started to spill over the floor. Ollie sat down next to me and helped me gather them back up, he also picked up a card examining it.
“Well, my father’s assistant told me that you can tell fortunes from the cards with the help of the Change-bringer.” I said, Ollie looked at me confused.
“But these are just cards with fancy pictures on them, how do they tell fortunes?” he asked. I shrugged my shoulders.
“I’m not sure, but he used them to tell my fortune today and he said the Change-bringer told him that I would make a faithful connection soon.” I said smiling “then I met you, so it has to be true right?”
“Are you saying I’m your faithful connection? Isn’t that a tad silly?” he said handing me the card he was holding. “We only met because our fathers know each other.” He said.
“But isn’t that fate then?” I asked.
“No.” he said flatly “We probably would have met regardless of the fortune.” I puffed up my cheeks in a pout.
“Here then I’ll prove it to you, I’ll find out if your father is going to get that store or not.” I closed my eyes trying to focus my mind on the woman I saw earlier today on the coin Zaatar had shown me and I felt that electric energy spread through my skin again then I opened my eyes flipping a card onto the floor in a dramatic fashion. “The cards say he will.” Ollie looked at me with an unimpressed look on his face.
“You have no idea, do you?” he asked.
“I have no idea.” I said giggling. “But you don’t know maybe it will come true.”
“you’re ridiculous.” He said joining in with my laughter. There was a light knock at the door, and I quickly put the cards back in the box before sliding it across the floor under the couch just as my mother opened the door with Varo standing right behind her.
“It sounds like you two are having fun.” Varo said with a light tone in his voice that sounded like he was pleased with the realization. “However, it’s time we left Ollie.” He said, I felt disappointment wash over me as I watched Ollie get up going over to his father. I quickly got to my feet rushing to my mother and Varo.
“Can Ollie come back to play?” I asked looking at my mother with hopeful eyes. She glanced over at Varo, who gave her a shrug.
“If it’s alright with you, I can bring Ollie when I come to do business with Lord Eleros. After-all I will be by often as we finalize the agreements of our deal and I find a place to open the store.” Varo said.
“Does that mean we are moving here?” Ollie asked, Varo nodded. Ollie turned to look at me with wide eyes and I saw him mouth ‘you were right.’
“it’s alright with me, it seems Sonia has taken quite a liking to your son. I think her having a friend her age would keep her entertained, she has a lot of energy you know.” My mother said. Varo nodded with a smile on his face.
“It will be good for Ollie as well, he’s good at making friends, but we have traveled so much that he’s always had to say goodbye to them. So having a friend he can make memories with will be great. Don’t you think so Ollie?” he said looking down at Ollie, however Ollie still had his wide green eyes fixed on me in amazement not paying attention to what anyone was saying. I averted my eyes feeling embarrassed by his stare. Varo just laughed “I think your daughter might have charmed my son into silence.” He said jokingly and my mother laughed.
“Shall we walk you two out?” my mother asked.
“That be great.” Varo answered. Ollie and I followed behind them as we walked out of the library into the hallway which was painted with the pink and orange colors of the sunset. Ollie leaned over to me putting his hand over my ear to whisper.
“Will you teach me how to tell fortunes?” He asked and I nodded.
“Sure.” I whispered with a smile.

“One night stand”
“I heard a little rumor.” Ginny said, swirling her wine glass before taking a sip.
Ginny was hosting her weekly Wednesday Girls & Theo Wine Night.
“Oh do tell Red.” Theo encouraged, leaning forward.
“Well, I was out with my gorgeous fiancé the other day when he accidentally let slip some information.” Ginny started, she took another sip of wine then her eyes briefly flicked over to Hermione.
The tips of Hermione’s ears were turning pink.
“Okay and?” Padma prompted, as she leaned towards the coffee table to grab a slice of prosciutto, not noticing Hermione’s discomfort.
“Apparently some witch was seen sneaking out of his flat. Out of Malfoy’s room specifically.” Ginny dropped all subtlety and straight on stared at Hermione.
The room was silent, everyone was looking between Ginny and now a red-faced Hermione.
Daphne was the first to break the silence. “You didn’t! What happened to ‘he’s a condescending prat with a stick up his arse’?”
“It was just a one night stand!” Hermione blurted, covering her face behind her hands.
“Are you sure about that? From what I’ve heard, you’re there at least once or twice a week.” Ginny said, popping a grape in her mouth.
“Oh I knew it!” Theo squealed.
~ At Malfoy and Zabini’s flat ~
“Hey mate, what are you always up to at 2am?” Blaise casually asked Draco.
That night, they were hosting Boys’ and Pansy night.
Draco started choking on his firewhiskey at Blaise’s question.
“Oh.“ A smirk started to appear on Pansy’s face. “Yeah Draco, answer that man’s important question.”
“Sleeping?” He tried to answer, as innocently as he could.
“And would that ‘sleeping’ include a certain bright witch?” Blaise raised an eyebrow.
A gasp came from Harry and Ron.
“You didn’t!” Harry exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Ron’s jaw was hanging open.
“It was a one night stand?” Draco’s statement came out more as question.
“That’s not what a certain elf told me.” Blaise said, a shit eating grin plastered on his face.
“I swear to Merlin, I’m firing Winky.” Draco grumbled, downing the remainder of his drink.
“Wait! Is this why you’re always ‘arguing’ with her at the office? I knew something was up when it got suddenly quiet. I just thought one of you put on silencing charms after getting so many complaints about listening to you argue.”
Draco could feel his face heating up at Ron’s observation.
Looking at Draco’s redden face as confirmation, Pansy fell into a fit of laughter.

Hello🐹 I has a request- some of the MHA/BNHA boys that get hard when his fem!S/O puts on lip gloss? like- the shine that it gives her lips would look so good around his hard cock :)
other details- non-hero!UA and this is NOT to fetishize black people!!! (I'm black anyway)
only if you're comfortable and if requests are open 😊
remember to drink water and eat daily ☺
Omg my first request- okay okay so I’m gonna try my best because this is my first request and full blown drabble post so yea! I wasn’t sure which characters to pick so I just went with the ones I think would fit well with this! As always characters are aged up. Hope u enjoy! And yes requests are open! warnings: basically some smut and some small fluff
Iida: oohhh man this dude did not expect you to put on lip gloss, especially in that pretty pink glittery shade. You two were enjoying your day waltzing around town when you stopped to use a public restroom and while he was outside waiting you had an idea and decided to use an expensive gloss momo had bought you a while back. You slicked it on your lips and walked out innocently as if you didn’t know what you were doin. Iida hadn’t noticed until you started talking about getting some food when he saw those pretty lips and instantly felt his pants become uncomfy. Needless to say, he pulled you into a cafe and shoved you into the bathroom where well you got covered in some Other kinda white substance ;>
Bakugou: you two were expected at a party and as usual you had taken longer then him not our fault the man takes less time to get ready 🙄. Anywho, you had gotten all dolled up in a pretty red dress and black heels. You were just finishing up your makeup when you saw the gloss youve had but never used, so without thought you decided to put it on since the shade was a nice touch to your makeup and outfit. While bakugou was sitting on the couch on his phone he heard the bedroom door cream open and the clicks of your heels walking over. He finally looked up from his phone to ask if your dumbass was finally ready when he stopped mid sentence to see those pretty red lips. So he stood up, slung you over his shoulder and carried you back into the bedroom you came from, party long forgotten.
Izuku: Today was yours and Izukus date as a 1 year anniversary so you wanted to go all out. Pretty outfit pretty hair pretty everything. You used all your favorite makeup products including that signature glittery lip gloss you wore only on special occasions. You covered your lips and puckered them up and basically hyped your beautiful ass up cause girlboss obviously. Once you got ready you heard a knock at your door to which you went to anwser and saw izuku in his gorgeous suit and tie and flowers ready in hand. Of course the boy was shy and stumbled over his words to ask if you were ready. You nodded and began to follow him out to the car. You both had a wonderful date however when you two had gotten to his place was when the fun began. You two went inside and basically went at it like rabbits, clothes flying, hands gripping in every place, and that’s when he was ontop of you that he said he did not want that pretty gloss go to waste. Needless to say he woke up with kisses all over him especially in the lower region <3
Todoroki: Shoto being the sweet boy he was planned a little getaway to a flower field since he knew you both were interested in nature and such. He had gotten ready first and while waiting for you he took a small nap to rest up before the long drive there. You on the otherhand had different plans. You had prepared a cute cottage core like outfit with light makeup and some added on freckles, you were trying to go for a fairy/elf look. So obviously you wanted to look glowy and mysterious and what better shimmery thing to use then lip gloss. You put on your favorite shimmery pink tint one and was on your way to wake up sho. When you did though he just sat and stared for a moment before asking “Did I die or something why is there an angel in front of me???” You had giggled and thanked him for the compliment (though he actually thought you were) and got him up and you two were on your way to the flower field. Needless to say you got railed in a very pretty setting with lip gloss smudged all over shotos face and body.
Kirishima: Kirishima had been watching you do your makeup for a while now, just admiring your features before and after and enjoying every second of it. He had said his occasional yet meaningful compliment everytime you did a new part of the makeup but when he saw you grab the one weakness product he was done for. You hadn’t noticed for a while now but whenever you used that gloss it drove Kiri mad. The way he only pictured your pretty lips rapped around his red riot dick with your eyeliner smudged just made the man go insane with lust. He had been staring for a while now so when you asked if he was alright all he could say was “ please let me fuck you” to which you were surprised but happily agreed and let him do what he had been fantasizing about everytime you wore that dammed gloss.
Shinsou: It was a date set at a cat cafe obviously. You two had been snuggling cats and sipping coffee for a while now when you realized your gloss had lost its touch so you reapplied it and that’s when he saw it in all its glory, oh how he wished you had been under him whining about how it was to much and that all he could say was that you could take it like a good kitty. He was now in a daze when he felt you poke his cheek and he just smirked and began to whisper seductive words in your ear and you just had to play it cool since others were around, only allowing the occasional blush and whine here and there. When you two got home however was when the real fun began and his fantasy became a reality.
Ack! I’m so sorry this is so bad- it’s like 1am rn and this isn’t proofread so if theres any mistakes or anything you’d like changed or someone added please let me know as I’m open to (kind) criticism! I hope you enjoyed none the less though thanks for the request love <3

Firsts - A Sirius Black Imagine
Pairings : Young Sirius Black x Reader
Warnings : smut, obviously, unprotected sex, swearing, smoking, alcohol and mild drug use.
Hi love! I did it! Beware, it is quite long, I sort of took the liberty to provide some context, but I hope you'll like it! :)
Masterlist
Sirius is looking back at himself in the mirror, wincing at his reflection. He recognizes his traits sparingly; his dark curls falling to his shoulders, his mocking smirk, his overall nonchalant expression. He knows who he is, but the clothes on his back are completely robbing him of his own identity. He glances bitterly at his beloved leather coat sitting on the back of his desk chair and sighs. The ridiculous black suit he’s wearing barely fits him. He knows it probably used to belong to one of his distant cousins and that it has been quickly and grossly recut to fit him by the house-elf. His parents are downstairs in the drawing room, waiting for him to join them so they can leave for this stupid reception.
He doesn’t even know what it is about, except that he’s going to this apparent important new Ministry guy’s house who threw a sort of lame introduction party, since he just arrived in London with his family. And what he knows is that he’s going to spend the whole night with the type of people he doesn’t want to be assimilated with. From what he heard, the host of the reception just arrived at the Ministry of Magic to help with the passing of some bill for Muggleborn regulations, as awful as it sounds. He’d like to avoid to go, but Walburga has the upper hand on him, and nothing in the world would convince his dear mother to leave her eldest son behind, knowing full well that if she does so, Sirius is going to get the fuck out of there and join these Muggles mingling Potters fools.
‘You look dapper,’ says a soft voice behind him.
Standing in the doorway, Sirius’ youngest brother observes him, grinning.
‘Shut up,’ he replies, annoyed by the stupid smile on Regulus’ face.
His brother crosses his arms and steps into his bedroom. He looks around like he just stepped into some kind of freak show. His gaze rests a little longer on a certain poster. Sirius glances at the Muggle woman dressed in a revealing red swimsuit standing straight in the middle of the picture. He smirks, and caught-red handed, Regulus turns away quickly. She always was his brother's favourite, after all. Whether he wants to admit it or not.
‘Are you going to behave this time?’ he asks, stepping in front of his eldest brother.
Sirius shrugs, trying to adjust the bowtie strangling him. For Merlin’s sake, he thinks, it feels like he’s suffocating already.
‘I always behave, brother dear,’ he replies, trying to undo the knot around his neck. ‘I just don’t behave the way they’d like me to,' referring to their parents.
Regulus shakes his head and starts fiddling with his brother’s bowtie and adjust it perfectly in one fell swoop, as if it were child’s play. Once the knot is properly buckled, he taps Sirius’ chest in an encouraging gesture, and frowns when he feels something hard hidden in the inside pocket of his brother’s vest.
‘Really?’ he asks.
Sirius snorts.
‘Just a bit of courage,’ he admits.
‘And how much courage did you drink already?’
‘Not enough, apparently,’ Sirius replies, thinking about the full flask of warm whiskey tucked inside his suit.
He’d honestly rather be stuck in detention with Snivellus for the rest of his existence then go to this lame-ass party. That alone justifies the whiskey amply.
After a few detours in the city, he finds himself in front of an imposing white manor situated in one of London’s richest Square. Oh, this is going to be a long night, he thinks. Not only it seems like the host is wizard-rich, but he’s also everything rich, period. He rolls his eyes, there’s no issue. Walburga is pressing her long and emaciated fingers into his son’s arm as they step into the great hall of the house. The interior is as posh as the exterior, with its grand marble staircase curving up to the upper floor and its giant diamond-like chandelier hanging over their heads. For God’s sake, is it a live classical assemble he hears playing in the back? As his mother pushes him further inside, the sound of light chatter reaches his ears. He sees his father, dressed in his horrible robes, already on his way to speak with some old acquaintances, quickly followed by Regulus. He scans the principal room for a quiet corner, but it’s filled with this bunch of pricks, and he’s fighting with all his might the panic that is taking over his mind. He finally spots a free corner next to a big window and he walks straight ahead in that direction, hoping no one will recognize him on the way.
‘I heard his son has found some work as a doctor,’ he hears a shrill voice say.
‘A Muggle doctor? How peculiar!’ says another voice.
This is exactly the kind of chatter Sirius doesn’t want to hear. In no way he thinks he’s superior because he was graced with magic powers at birth. It is so suffocating, and he feels so incredibly small and inadequate, drowning in this sea of close-minded guests.
He studies them, recognizes some familiar faces from Hogwarts, but most of them are Slytherins and are not close at all to use them as an escape. A waiter walks in front of him, holding a tray where champagne flutes fill themselves up. He grabs one and drink it in one sip. He’s already quite tipsy, but he doesn’t care. He’d rather be intoxicated right now to bury this hatred deep within. God, he needs air.
He sees Walburga looking for him in the room, and she’s walking next to a tall and handsome man. For Godric’s sake, why is she walking straight in his direction? The man next to her doesn’t look as old as his mother, but the grey strands in his black hair betrays his age. He looks posh, and haughty.
‘This is my eldest son, Sirius,’ says his mother in a toneless voice. ‘Sirius, this his our host, Mr Santorini.’
‘Pleased to meet your, Mr Black,’ says the man while he extends his hand.
Sirius gets up on his feet, subtly struggling to find his balance, under the duo’s concerned stare. He rapidly and weakly shakes the man’s hand and nods. Ashamed, Walburga shoots darts at her son and quickly turns away from him.
‘My youngest, Regulus, is doing quite well at Hogwarts, see, he’s - ...’ her voice fades away.
Sirius closes his eyes; he needs to find some distraction. And what could be better than the little thing he has brought to the party that is currently hidden in his pocket behind the whiskey flask? He needs to feel something else than the dreadful thoughts he has right now. He struts to the giant marble staircase and finds his way on the upper level without attracting attention to him. That is one advantage when no one cares about you; not being seen. The voices downstairs are slowly fading away and he feels already so much better.
He runs a nervous hand in his dark locks, feeling quite hot, with this bowtie strangling him. There must be a door leading outside. He tries to open the first one on his right, but the handle doesn’t bulge; it’s locked. And Walburga has confiscated his wand at the beginning of the summer upon his return from Hogwarts, so there’s no use. He sighs and adventures further away in the hall.
He has more luck with the second door, and finds himself into a deserted bedroom. His eyes make out the giant bed over the central wall of the room, and spots some sealed boxes on the floor. The translucent curtains discreetly veil the large windows in front of him, and he opens one widely and lights himself a cigarette without a care, pacing into the room nervously. He sees some pictures resting on a vintage dresser on the opposite wall. There are rows of books in the built-in bookcases, and even some disperse vinyls taking up some of the space. He’s clearly trespassing someone’s intimacy, but whose? Sirius walks to the dresser and opens up the first drawer. A tickling feeling in his stomach at the sight of the several underwear – even in the darkness – makes him wonder how long has it been since he’s been intimate with someone. The last time was before school ended, with Mallory, and it was just snogging. He never went all the way... He chuckles discreetly at the thought and taps the ashes of his cigarette on the floor. Fuck this house, fuck this bedroom, and fuck this posh Pureblood family.
‘Mm, mm.’
Someone has cleared their throat behind him. He jumps, and tries to hide the cigarette away.
‘Please, don’t stop for me,’ says a girl in the doorway.
He can’t make up her traits in the darkness, but she sounds young. She steps right in front of him.
‘I don’t think you should be up here,’ she says.
He feels like a child, caught red-handed. He feels suddenly very trapped.
‘I heard the owner of this house is quite severe,’ she adds, taking the cigarette away from him, inhaling the smoke into her lungs, and exhaling. ‘If he found us in his daughter’s room, I think he’d torture us without any remorse.’
‘His daughter’s room?’ he replies nervously.
She nods, giving him back his cigarette.
‘A real pest.’
There is an awkward silence.
‘What were you doing here?’ she adds.
‘Looking for a way out,’ he replies in all honesty. ‘What about you?’
‘Just about the same.’ She glances at the cigarette. ‘You might want to put it out now.’
‘I really don’t,’ he replies, taking one last whiff, ‘but when do I get what I want anyway?’
He throws it on the hard-wood floor indifferently and follows the stranger in the hallway. She turns around to take a good look at him.
‘I’m Y/N, by the way – ‘
He feels like his legs are going to flinch. He doesn’t know if it’s the sudden nicotine rush, or the champagne mixed with the whiskey, or the lights in the hallway shinning over Y/N’s green doe eyes staring at him, or her long black hair waving on her back, or her delicious pink lips, or the gentle freckles on her nose, but he’s suddenly feeling quite light-headed.
‘You okay there?’ she laughs. ‘What’s your name?’
He shakes his head, trying to regain his thoughts.
‘I’m, er. I’m Si – ‘should he really tell her his real name? ‘I’m Sid.’
‘Sid,’ she repeats. ‘Well, Sid, you don’t look too good.’
‘I don’t feel too good,’ he admits.
Her expression changes. She’s not amused anymore. She’s pitying him.
‘Follow me,’ she says, grabbing his hand like she has known him forever, dragging him to the end of the wall where they cross a door and end up on a small balcony overlooking the deserted garden.
‘How to you know this place?’ he asks, resting his arms on the guardrail, humming the fresh crisp air.
‘Hung out with the pest earlier,’ she replies.
‘Not anymore?’
‘Told you, she’s a pest. I can’t leave, though. I’m sort of stuck here.’
‘So am I.’
She laughs lightly. The moonlight shines on her beautiful face, and her traits are so soft, and if he was much more like himself, he’d try to charm her the way he knows how.
‘So, Sid. What are we avoiding?’ she asks away.
‘My parents, I guess,’ he replies, taking out the flask of whiskey of his pocket.
He takes a big sip and hands it to her. She considers it for a moment and grabs it. The wind flies through her hair, and her perfume reaches his nostrils, a perfectly well-balanced mix of vanilla and gentle notes of citrus. The fragrance shoots up his nose and wafts around his brain. Fuck, she’s so beautiful.
‘What about them?’ she asks away, wincing when she swallows the liquor.
He snorts. He doesn’t want to talk about his parents right now. Not when the prettiest girl he’s ever seen is standing right in front of him. He has something else on his mind now.
‘Your accent,’ he says, switching subjects. ‘It’s not from here.’
Y/N nods.
‘I grew up all over the place, but mostly America.’
‘You don’t sound American.’
She smiles, revealing a straight row of perfectly pearly white teeth.
‘My family, we’re from Sicily.’
He nods.
‘It’s in Italy –
‘I know where Sicily is, I’m not stupid,’ he replies harshly, a bit offended.
But Y/N chuckles lightly, and her soft laugh brings his attitude down. He can’t help but stare at her. She’s a bit overdressed to his taste, but hey, so is he. He wonders what is hiding underneath that navy dress of hers, and if her skin is as soft as he imagines it is. He needs to calm down.
‘First time in London, then?’
She nods.
‘What do you think?’ he asks, locking eyes with her.
She licks her lower lip without realizing it.
‘Well, I don’t hate the accent,’ she teases.
Praised be Godric.
‘Tell me, Sid, you seem to be about my age, yet you’re drunk like an old man with a drinking problem, and you probably smoke like a city boy. I keep wondering if I really should be alone with you right now.’
‘Are you afraid?’ he asks.
She shakes her head.
‘Rarely.’
‘To be honest, Y/N,’ he says, pronouncing every syllable of her name like he could actually taste it, ‘I was alone up there to find a quiet spot for this.’
He shows up the joint between his fingers. She squints for a short moment and smiles.
‘I see.’
Y/N’s eyes bored into him. He wonders if he has crossed a line. He barely knows her, after all.
‘Let’s go somewhere more private, then,’ she suggests, grabbing his hand. He doesn’t even have the time to appreciate the softness of her skin when he feels himself disapparating, his body swirling in every direction, and a sudden urge of panic takes hold off him. When he reapparates in a loud pop, he shouts:
‘What the hell are you doing? Are you bloody insane?’
‘What, did you never apparate before?’
‘Yes, I did but -,’ he is freaking out, Walburga must think he’s left and is probably fulminating. ‘My mother, she’s going to hex me! Bring us back!’
‘Why?’ Eliana asks, intrigued. ‘How would she know?’
Sirius shakes his head nervously.
‘She placed some sort of charm on me, I’m not allowed to leave her sight. If she knows I left the premises, she’ll find me and – ‘
He stops himself from saying too much. Perhaps it would be a bit intense to share with the girl what would Walburga do to him. At least, he wouldn’t have to explain the healing bruises on his ribcage.
‘Relax, Sid. We’re still on the premises.’
He looks around and spots the house in the distance through a small window. Are they in some sort of guest house? A garden shed? There is nothing around him, he’s just standing on a mat. Relieved, he sits down, running a hand in his hair. Y/N joins him and creates a small fire by flicking her wand, enough to dimly light the room they are in.
‘You’re actually scared of your parents. Why?’
Sirius chuckles. He’s not scared, he’s terrified of them. She points out the little stick he forgot he was holding between his fingers.
‘Shall we?’ she suggests.
‘Who says I want to share?’
She pouts adorably. He lights it up and he takes a good breath of the substance and exhales slowly, indulging the heavy smoke, his lungs burning, and a light sensation rushes to his head. Them Muggles can also do magic, he thinks to himself. Under her curious eyes, he passes the stick in her delicate hands, and observes her. Her delicious lips reach it, and she slowly breathes it in. She starts coughing, tears running to her eyes.
‘Wait,’ he laughs, ‘is this your first time?’
She presses her hand to her rounded chest, laughing uncontrollably. Sirius shakes his head, following her laugh, and explains to her how to actually get the smoke to her lungs.
‘There, yes – keep it still a second, let it -, yes, good,’ it’s like teaching children how to mount a broom, ‘and exhale. Brilliant.’
He waits a second before taking another whiff. Y/N’s mouth curves into a smile and she closes her eyes slowly.
‘Oh,’ she exhales, ‘this is – ‘
‘I know,’ replies Sirius, smiling. ‘I know.’
‘Oh,’ she repeats.
He stares at her, admiring her delicate features. Her eyes are still closed and he sees her falling on her back, completely relaxed. If his mother saw him right now, smoking pot with a random girl he met at this rich guy’s party, she’d have a good reason to use the Cruciatus curse on him for once. Or she’d cut his head before he could say he’s sorry. He decides to join Y/N and rests his back on the floor. He lays his head just beside hers and fixes the ceiling. He feels better now, and it’s not just the drugs.
‘I feel so heavy,’ she says, sliding her hands on her naked arms.
She turns her head and looks at him.
‘Do you feel heavy?’
‘Kind of,’ he laughs.
He doesn’t particularly feel heavy. In fact, he feels relieved, and mostly, he feels horny. Good god.
‘What is there to do in London at night?’ she asks.
‘Mm,’ he hesitates. ‘Pubs, clubs, walking around Southbank, I guess.’
‘Never went to a pub,’ she admits.
He wants to run his finger on her cheek. He wants to grab her face and press his lips on hers.
‘You’re kidding,’ he replies, still fixing that beautiful mouth of hers.
She shakes her head lightly, and a stroke of her long hair falls in her eyes. Her little red stained eyes. He smiles at the view, and slowly leans closer, replacing the stroke of black hair behind her ear.
‘I’ll bring you to a pub, one day,’ he mutters, daydreaming out loud.
‘Wouldn’t you mother kill you if you did?’ she jokes.
‘She would. It would be worth the risk, though.’
She turns on her stomach and rests her head on her hands. He keeps staring at her, detailing everything.
‘What are you looking at?’ she chuckles.
‘Just admiring the view,’ he replies frankly.
She would blush if she wasn’t all flustered already. There’s an odd adrenaline spluttering inside of him as he feels her close, and his pulse quickens and he’s feeling so hot right now, he’s melting into the rug. There’s a comfortable silence between them, and they both enjoy it for a couple of minutes. There is something about this girl, this nonchalant attitude, and her mesmerizing eyes, and her accent, and the way her body moves when she finally sits down again, pulling her dress over her thighs to sit comfortably, making him lose his fucking mind. If he weren’t so distracted by her presence, he’d be sweet talking to her, like he’s so used to do with other girls. But he’s simply incapable of doing so, like she’s robbed him of his means.
‘We should go back, they’re going to be looking for us,’ she whispers, showing him her hand to help him sit back.
But he doesn’t want to go back and mingle with the people he hates. He wants to be alone with her, if it is just to stay motionless on this rug in her company. He takes her hand and sits back up, and their eyes lock again, and they stare at each other, and he’s wondering if he’s hallucinating someone so perfect to help him cope with this emptiness he feels all the time. She absentmindedly licks her lips, taunting him, and he has to remind himself how to breathe, as his lips quirk hesitantly, sighing out loud to stop himself from pining her underneath him.
‘Yeah,’ he stutters, like a fucking coward, and then he clears his throat and steadies his pulse and sternly instructs himself to get it together, dude. James would be laughing at him if he saw him right now.
But they both stay there, motionless. He can feel the drugs running away from his bloodstream, he’s on another high now, another rush, and it has nothing to do with it. He can’t stop staring at her lips. Her expression washes over him in waves, and he pins a hesitant smile on his face, hoping it will distract her from the bulge growing down there.
‘Or we could just, you know, stay here for a while,’ she suggests.
For fuck’s sake.
He’s only able to gulp and nod, his cock painfully growing thick through the fabric. He tries to hide the bump by placing his arm over his legs, but instead it catches her attention down there, and her eyes quickly spots it, but she innocently acts like she’s unaware of the effect she has on him. If he could only smack his lips on hers.
Her emerald eyes are wide open, she leans in and presses her soft lips on his, and he’s never felt so relieved in his entire life, her mouth is warm and soft, and he can actually run his hands in her soft hair, and he can hear his heart hammering in his ears, and she actually lets out a discreet moan in his mouth, and fuck, there he is, gone, he knows there is no way back from there.
He feels her hands slowly unbuckling his belt and removing those atrocious trousers, and he follows through, pulling up her dress to reveal her skin. He removes his shirt, he has dreamt all night to rip it off his body from the second he put it on, and now she’s pushing him on his back on the hard rug and places kisses in the crook of his neck, sliding her tongue all the way down, and he knows where she’s heading, but he can’t let her do that, or he’s going to cum already. He grabs her head softly, and while he’s busy sticking his tongue into her mouth, he’s unclasps her top, tosses it on the floor, and starts licking her round breasts, circling her hard nipples with his tongue. He realizes it is actually the first time he’s allowed to touch naked breasts, and Merlin, this is so much better when there’s no fabric covering them.
He pins her small body under him, and he slowly moves down on her. He admires her ribcage moving up and down, and he can hears her heavy breathing, and he feels like he can’t hold it anymore. He runs his lips on her skin, down her stomach, to the birth of her underwear, pulling them down very gently. Sirius can’t believe he just met her a couple of hours ago; he feels like he has been desiring her for an eternity. There was a before her, and there’s now – and all the shit he’s been dealing with since school ended is now tucked away in the back of his mind. He caresses with his lips the soft bump between her legs, indulging the new sensation, and then just takes a mouthful of her sex. Her breathing stops, her ribcage is suspended for a second, and then she breathes out and grabs the back of his head while he tastes her. It’s sweet, and warm, and wet, and salty at the same time, and it’s so fucking good.
She’s squirming and writhing beneath him, her subtle moans amplifying. The gasps she makes sends sparks of unbearable pleasure through him, and he feels dizzy, like his heart is about to explode, ready to jump out of his chest at any moment. He slides one finger into her, and then another, and she spams around his fingers. He observes her perfect body tensing at his touch, cupping one breast with one hand while she orgasms into his mouth, her fluids mixing with his saliva. Her face is flushed and her pupils are dilated, and he could very well be on this high for the rest of his existence. But she places kisses on his lips, tasting herself on him, and his cock is so hard, he can’t help but groan when he feels her hand grabs his sex through the fabric of his underwear, slowly stroking him. It is pure torture.
He feels the small piece of clothing covering him sliding down his legs, and he kicks it on the floor. She stares at him in the eyes and licks her fingers, then moves her hand down there again, gently applying pressure on his hard-on. Sirius’ head tilt to the back, blood rushes through him. That is a different story when it’s someone’s else hand, isn’t?
She lays down in front of him, and he follows her as she guides is cock at the entrance of her sex, and it’s so wet, how is he going to pull through? He’s shaking with apprehension but pure pleasure. She suddenly frowns.
‘Wait,’ she hesitates, ‘is this your first time?’
He nods. There’s so point in lying.
‘Do you want to stop?’
Of course, he doesn’t want to stop. He shakes his head, and her face lits up.
They kiss and he presses the tip of his cock into her, slowly, to get every sensation right, and he closes his eyes and, oh this feels so fucking good, and he can’t help but exhales of relief when he feels the warmth, and he hears her gasping underneath him. He’s sinking into her, and she pushes his length even farther by raising her hips. Why does it feel so good? He starts to pace inside her, like he has known what to do forever, increasing the tempo, and she moans under him. He moves swiftly now, trying with all his might to not just release himself off the pressure. She throws her head back into the rug, he feels sweat pearling at the birth of his forehead, his locks fall into his eyes, and he accelerates his pace and presses her legs on her stomach, and oh my god, this is even better.
She presses her right hand on his chest, running her fingers over his hard stomach, avoiding the bruises, detailing each parcel of his body. She looks back up and pushes her lips on his, and their tongues meet, and he’s completely melting into her. She finally bucks her hips tightly and Sirius hisses, he can’t hold up anymore. Oh, he wants to hear her say his name – if only he had given his real one – but she lets a loud ‘fuck’ escape her mouth, and she’s damp with sweat, and he never seen something so beautiful, he slams into her harder and faster, he groans while his grip tightens around her delicate waist. He feels almost he’s in pain and something stronger than life itself is burning him; yes, he’s burning up down there, he can’t hold it anymore, his whole body is on fire, he glances at her one last time, and he lets out a guttural growl, while feeling his insides pushing his soul out, and for a short moment, he thinks he’s dying, spilling his warm seed into her, filling her up while’s he petrified, hanging between dream and reality, thinking his heart stopped beating.
It is only half an hour later that he comes back to the manor, flustered and feeling out of his body, followed by Y/N. She’s even prettier under the warm lights, blushed cheeks, and he relives in his mind what just happened over and over again. That wasn’t bad for a first time, he thinks.
‘Y/N! Papà has been looking for you forever, where were you?’, a young girl is staring at her.
She shares similar traits with Y/N, but she looks younger, about Regulus’ age. Her arms are crossed, and she observes Sirius oddly, in a manner that makes him believe she can easily guess what Y/N was doing all the time they’ve been away.
‘Where is he?’ asks Y/N.
The young girl points at the host, the man he shook hands with earlier, speaking with Sirius’ father and a couple of older men in the corner of the room.
‘Clara,’ mumbles Y/N with a threatening expression. ‘non dire niente a Papà.’
The young girl rolls her eyes and leaves them. Sirius frowns. Wait a minute, is this girl...
‘Didn’t you tell me the host’s daughter was -’ he mumbles, feeling his hands becoming moist.
‘A pest,’ she smiles. ‘My sister.’

First Meetings
So, now that I have been stuck at home due to my mother's positive Covid test and watching The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings for 6 days straight, inspiration struck again, thank god 🙏😅 The new center of this -maybe- series will be Lee Pace. Of course this is only a fantasy and everything only came from my imagination but with a pinch of real events happening, still it's going to be in an alternative universe.
Thanks for being my beta @fortheloveoffanfic
Hope you guys will like it. Let me know what you thought and if you like to be tagged in upcoming drabbles I have palned and will hopefully be able to continue now again.
Summary: You work as part of the Mae-Up and Hair Crew on set of the Hobbit Trilogy, where you meet many interesting people, but one has gotten more of your attention than you would have thought.
Warnings: none, except for a very long drabble 😅
Words: 1722
You had been part of the crew ever since Peter Jackson had started working on the Hobbit trilogy in 2011 and met everyone that had been essential to the movies on and off screen. Apparently Fran had seen your work first hand when you were at a competition for make - up artists and she was impressed by the end results. You hadn't won any of the prizes but you were only one against one hundred others and yet she wanted you to be part of the second historic movie trilogy PJ did in his life.
The first people you had met were of course the dwarves and Martin who was Bilbo in the movie. They all were fun to be around, especially Dean and Aiden, as well as James Nesbitt who would always greet you with jokes or a song, giving you something to look forward to during those nearly endless days of filming.
And then, at the ending of shooting the first movie of the trilogy Philippa came up to you, a very tall man following behind her. You had just gotten done with James' make-up and wanted some fresh air, with all the fumes inside the trailer you sometimes thought you might get sick, so you sat outside, watching the pair walk over to you.
"Y/N," she said in greeting, a smile breaking out on her face. "May I introduce you to our newest cast members. Lee is going to be Elvenking Thranduil and he's in need of your service." Pippa, as you called her, had always had a way with people and she was next to Fran and Pete the only one of your bosses you could be yourself with and even call family away from your own. In your former jobs you had only been the one for the make-up, the one being ordered around and not even been able to give an opinion to change should something not look right on the person. But here, you were part of the crew and they would listen to you.
"It's nice to meet you." You said, holding out your hand for the actor to shake. With a smile in return he grabbed it and you had to concentrate not to let your reaction show on your face. Holy shit, his hands were huge compared to your smaller ones.
Only your boss's voice pulled you back to the task at hand. "So, Lee needs to get into his wig and ears and we'd like to try the crowns with the wardrobe department. Let's say meeting in an hour and a half over at costumes?"
"Oh, uh, sure." you mumbled, hastily disentangling your hand from his. "I'll send him right over when I'm done."
Pippa grinned at you. "Why don't you come over, too? We wouldn't want there to be a repeat of Elrond's circlet like the last time."
A soft sigh escaped your lips, nodding your head you stepped up onto the small stairs outside the trailer. "I'll bring him over then and make sure the wig will be in one piece once you guys are done."
"Great, I'll see you guys later!" she said, clapping her hands and walking off, leaving you with the giant in human form standing in front of you.
Once he made sure she was out of ear shot, Lee turned back to you, a smile plastered onto his face. "Do I want to know what happened to that wig?"
"I don't think you want to know, it was a mess and the guys making the wigs were so angry because the circlet Hugo was wearing in the fitting got caught on the strands and ripped it in half. They had to do it all over again."
Nodding his head, the actor entered the trailer behind her. You told him to take the empty chair next to Richard, who was getting ready for his scenes and he took the time to watch you flit around in your workplace. Everything was chaotic and still in order all the same. When you had come back to your place, the prosthetic ears and wig in hand, Lee grinned at you, his dark blue eyes shining with mirth. "Well, we wouldn't want another repeat for the King of Woodland Elves."
"At least you're already in character, then." Richard mumbled next to him with a laugh trying not to interrupt the woman doing his make-up for the day, listening to the words leaving his co-stars mouth.
Watching the actor, who was Thorin in the movie series, he laughed. "I just need to get my crown and wardrobe and I'll be good to go, everything else is already perfect."
Ruckus laughter floated through the trailer and you couldn't help but admire the shape of his face. Before you could stop yourself, you had already mumbled a 'yes, perfect' and Lee's eyes turned back to you. You felt the blush creeping over your face, swiftly grabbing a comb and a few clips to prepare his own hair for the wig cap you were going to be putting on under. All had seen the flush spread out on your skin and Martin who was getting up from his chair next to you send you wink. That was a great way to make a first impression on the day of meeting a new part of the movie series. You were scolding yourself inside, making sure to only talk to Lee when he was asking something, otherwise keeping your mouth shut.
"Okay let's see the green coat again with the silver overcoat. Y/N, be a dear and bring me that one please." Ann Maskrey, one of the costume designers asked you, while Pete and Pippa watched Lee getting dressed in the green coat. You walked over to the wardrobe and took the first silver coat. "No, not that one, the one with the deep orange silk on the inside." So you took the correct one on the second try and held it out for Lee to put on. He grinned down at you, pulling the coat over his shoulders and straightening himself. It would be easier if he wasn't such a giant, but he was a handsome giant.
"Right then, that looks good. Let's try it with the smaller branch crown."
You sighed, hoping there wasn't going to be another wig fiasco when you helped putting the crown on. Weta had done an amazing job designing all the pieces for the movies, for all movies they worked on, but sometimes these things were a bitch to work with. Your comb and pins at the ready, he sat down on the chair, pulling the knee-high boots on over the leggings he wore underneath.
"I'm going to be gentle but if I should hurt you with the pin please let me know." you told him, lightly pinning the crown to the wig so it wouldn't fall off.
Lee had closed his eyes, hiding the bright blue contacts he wore for his role. "I can take my fair bit of pain, but if it's intolerable, I'll let you know. So far I can't complain about these gentle hands."
By the time they had taken pictures and you had finally calmed down again so the flush that had started to spread over your face and neck at the close proximity to Lee was controlled again, Ann had asked you to take off one crown and exchange it for the larger branch crown with red leaves.
"I think this is going to be a lot more striking for King Thranduil then the other one."
So you repeated the process, gently combing the wig while Lee sat on the chair, chewing his gum and closing his eyes. He even held the hairpins in his hand because he saw you struggle to get them out of the confines of your little bag. When he moved it closer to you to work with your finger touched his and if you didn't know better there was a tiny spark from that brush of skin.
Finishing up, you grabbed the unused pins from his hand and told him you were done, giving the tall actor a light tap on his shoulder. Just as he walked over to the small area where they viewed him in his costumes, the door opened and Martin and James walked inside.
"Sorry, you guys but we had a small, unfortunate accident." the Irish actor apologized, showing the burst seams on his pants. "We were doing our stunts and well."
Martin grinned, walking over to you and throwing his arm around your shoulders. "We also wanted to see what all the fuss was about that haughty elf king."
Giggling, you looked over at Lee who grinned at his co-stars and repeated the walk he did before.
"Just so you know, if I were a female dwarf, I'd tap that elf ass." James whispered into your left ear, your once controlled blush intensifying again while the blond actor nodded his head enthusiastically.
"He's a perfect elf, you know. Broad shoulder, tall, elegant, striking eyes. The hair." Martin spoke so only you and the dwarf actor could hear.
"The long legs." James added, nodding his head over to the American actor who strutted along the area, having thrown off the overcoat.
"That smouldering look." the Brit continued before you held up your hands.
"Enough, you." You hissed so no one would know what you had been talking about, but you knew they were only trying to rile you up. Yes, Lee was attractive, hell, he was gorgeous and Pippa and Pete did an amazing job casting him, but you knew him for less than a day. He could be a total asshole when he didn't have people to impress for his first day on set. "You guys should get to Lucy or Sam so they can stitch up those holes."
"Well, I'm going to tell you this, one day you'll end up with a guy like that and you'll remember what I told you. You deserve the best in your life, luv." James told you proudly, pulling you closer into a one armed hug. He was brother and father to you in one person and you knew that his words were going to bite you in your ass.
They always did.

Waltz of the Vampire (Vampire x Reader)
Pairing: Fem!Fat!Reader/Fem!Vampire
Genre: Fantasy (Vaguely Historical/Renaissance)
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3469 words
Summary: You forcibly attend the ball of the rich family that has just moved to town, unexpectedly finding comfort with one of their daughters.
Request: Hey!! I love your writing a lot! Would you consider an elf or a vampire whatever suits your fancy with a fat fem!reader. I try hard not to hate my body but it can be really hard sometimes and I know a lot of people go through it not just plus size folks but... idk it’s my weakness and a huge comfort. Anyway I hope you have a awesome day!!!
A/N: I really loved writing this request, and after I finish Thicker than Water, I might make a part two.
Serena has been to a lot of parties. Too many, in her opinion, even over her 326-year span of life. Her matriarch, “Mother” as she is called by her and the coven, believes there is no such thing.
Every move they make is celebrated by a grand ball, invitations sent out to every available person. Mother claims it’s the best way for them to fit in, to hide in the crowd rather than the shadows.
Serena understands this, she’s seen it work wonder for their reputation time and time again, but she still does not like them.
Tonight is especially dreadful, a bad hunt the day before and a quick spat with her “brother” enough to sour the whole get together. Serena spends most of the night eluding suitors and dance partners, embracing a mysterious persona so she can enjoy some alone-time.
As she looks around at the dance floor, Serena concludes that she is not a fan of the new fashion statements of this era. A bit too strict, too formal, with precise lacings and starchy hoop skirts. It makes the dance floor too stuffy in her opinion, no room to twirl your fabric or move your limbs.
She sips on her special red wine, eye’s lazily perusing the hall for her siblings, hoping to gain some company, when she spots you. Selena is brought to a pause, mid-drink, as your embroidered skirt glimmers, catching the light as you twirl it across the room. Her eyes widen, determination peaked when she notices you don’t have a partner.
How beautiful.
----------
Oooh, I love this song.
You hum, unconsciously bouncing from side to side as your favorite piano piece begins to play. It’s a piece you have on your list to learn in the future, bubbly and cheerful with a bumpy melody and the option for a fun violin accompaniment.
The energy of the music quickly translates to the dance floor, where couple’s begin to giggle and improvise amidst the strict waltz and counted-steps. It’s a shame that it’s such a good piece because for the first time of the night, you really wish someone would ask you to dance.
When the news the MacArthur’s were throwing a huge welcoming ball had reached your household, your mother quickly began throwing together preparations for you to attend. You had sighed, set your feet in a preemptive ice bath, and ready for another boring night.
As a former socialite herself, from girlhood you were forced to attend party after party. While it had done as intended and transformed your sister into a perfect lady, it had the opposite effect on you. The stiffness of the hoop skirts, the suits, and all the damn people always stuffed up your throat and flushed your face. With your sister as the shining star, it was easy for you to slip into the shadows, and avoid the preening of your mother’s etiquette lessons.
Now, as a growing woman with more and more free-time, you used all of your abilities to avoid huge social gatherings. You found your place amongst small gatherings with local friends, sneaking wine from the cellar and telling stories in the freezing cold around a fire
But as the music increases it’s tempo, with flourishing skirts and plenty of laughter, you can’t help but lose yourself in the joviality of the gathering. The fancy dresses, the even fancier alcohol, and the decadent ballroom had you wondering if you had been missing out a bit.
If only Margaret and Min-Young were here, now that would be a party.
You giggle into your champagne, heels still tapping against the hardwood and hand slightly tossing your skirt back and forth. You easily fall back into your reclusive corner to avoid embarrassing eyes who may glance upon your solitude. But a tiny yelp escapes you when your heel accidentally digs into a foot. You whip around, faced already flushed red with embarrassment.
“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry! I didn’t look where...I was…”
Behind you, dressed in a dark purple satin gown, is Serena Macarthur herself. She stands a solid two heads above you, hair done up in an immaculate up do and two shimmering ruby earrings dangling from her ears. Her face is serene, lips curled up in a bit of a smirk. You quickly jerk away and give a half-decent curtsy, noticing her beautiful black dancing shoes which you just stomped on. “I apologize, Miss Macarthur, I can’t believe I acted so foolishly. I didn’t realize-”
“Oh, there is no need to worry darling. I’m alright, no harm done.” She says, her voice low and musical, almost like a thrumming bass line. Her gloved hand is placed on your shoulder, the other slides up your neck and tilts up your chin to meet her eye line.
My god, she is stunning.
Her eyes are a color you’ve never seen before, not dissimilar to the sharp gemstones in her earrings. Serena’s makeup, simple yet sharp, does everything to accentuate the cardinal-red of her irises. You can feel the simmering blush heating up your skin as she continues to stare. “I was actually coming this way to speak to you, flower. It’s my fault really, for sneaking up on you.”
You shake your hands, nearly spilling over the champagne in your glass. “Oh no, it’s no problem. Like you said, no harm done”. You force a giggle, hastily taking a sip of your champagne. “May I ask what you wished to speak of?”
Serena smiles, a smirk which is just as sharp as the rest of her, though her eyes betray no slyness or ill-will. “I was going to enquire about your dress. I noticed it from across the room and was stunned by how enchanting it is.”
“Oh! Well, thank you very much.” You blush, unconsciously rubbing your finger over the embroidered flowers on the skirt. “I actually-”
“Whoops!”
In less than a second, you find yourself right next to Serena, as a drunk dancer trips and spills his drink all over the floor. You blink, brain not even fully processing what just happened, as you notice Serena’s arm on your elbow and the red wine splattered where you stood just moments ago.
Did she move me? But when-how did she-
“Sorry! Sorry about that.” The man slurs, sheepishly scratching the back of his head. His partner, a distressed young woman, grabs his elbow and forces him to stand straight. “Guess I’ve had too much.” His embarrassed partner chokes out a laugh as he continues to sway.
“Yes, it seems you have. Make sure to fix that, soon.”
Serena’s tone is barely above talking volume, but holds a command like a powerful shout, Both of the dancers jerk with surprise, furiously bowing as the female drags the man out of the hall.
Serena sighs, rubbing her forehead with exasperation. She turns toward you, smiles back on her face.
“Would you like to take this to the garden? Seems the party is getting a bit too rowdy for good conversation.”
You nod, still a bit befuddled by Serena’s quick mood change and even quicker reflexes. But you link elbows when she holds hers up in invitation nonetheless, following her outside.
---------
The Macarthur estate is beautiful, as expected, and the garden fits that image to a T. Even in the moonlight you can see the finely cultivated roses bushes which decorate it, along with the gleaming marble fountain and sitting space under an ornately decorated gazebo. The two of your heels click along the paved path as you walk towards the center, your half-empty drink still in hand.
“You were sadly interrupted, but you were mentioning something about the dress?”
You nod, taking another long sip of your champagne, hoping a little alcohol may temper your thoughts.
“Yes, I was just going to say that I made it myself.” Serena’s eyes grow wide, eyes darting up and down your attire, and you feel yourself fluster. “It’s a tradition in my family, you see. My great-great-grandmother was very diligent when it came to teaching her kids how to sew, even the boys, and it became such an insisted upon skill that all her children ended up making their own evening clothing for special occasions. It ended up filtering down that every child makes one special outfit themselves, for what occasion it doesn’t particularly matter, but something thatt is uniquely you.” You pull up the end of your skirt, pointing out the flower pattern. “I’ve always had a fondness for gardening, so I tried to incorporate that into my dress. Plus,” You smooth out your skirt, “Most party dresses I’ve found are a bit too restrictive for my tastes, I wanted something I could really get into some fun with, y’know?” You force a giggle, immediately wondering if that comment was a bit too salacious for high-society talk. Serena simply smirks, letting out a low chuckle of her own.
“I wholeheartedly agree. May I take a closer look?” She gestures to your skirt and you hastily nod. The two of you take a seat by the fountain, Serena’s glove accidentally brushing against your calf as she picks up your skirt. You try and control your shiver from the simple contact. She hums admirably as she runs along your work. “Such incredibly done Sunflowers, the detail you put in is astounding. And these are forget-me-nots, correct?”
“Oh yes, those are my favorite kind.” Serena’s hands continue to run along the linework, following the bumps and dips of each flower petal. “As you can see I had trouble with the lavender, what with the petals being so small.” Serena shakes her head, a fond smile on her face. She looks up at you, forcing you to hastily act as if you weren’t admiring her face.
“The work you put in makes them twice as beautiful, mistakes be damned.” You blush even harder, throwing your hand and taking a final sip of your champagne.
“Thank you very much, but I have a long way to go.”
Serena’s hand hasn’t left your skirt, now resting on her lap as she continues to look at you. You swallow the last droplets of champagne down your throat, trying to fill the silence.
“The band is incredible, did you hire them locally?” You stutter, setting down your glass. Serena continues to fiddle with your skirt.
“Some of them, yes, but the violinist is actually my older sister, Marigold.”
“Wow! Make sure to give her my compliments, she’s very talented.” Serena nods, before her eyes dart down your toes. As the music echoes out of the hall and into the garden, you had unconsciously begun to tap your toes to the beat. When she glances at you, she can see your head slightly bobbing, a content look painting your face. A small smile forces one on to hers.
How cute. She internally sighs, noting how soft the skin of your cheek looks, the nice curve of your jaw, and your adorable noise. The pulsing blood which would run down your throat, the crimson looking devine against your exposed collarbone and dripping below your breast line.
She stands up abruptly, forcing those evocative thoughts out of her mind. You were quite cute and good company, someone Serena would like to get to know. Sometimes the crossed wires of her brain confused attraction for bloodlust, mistaking the butterflies for hunger pains.. She is almost embarrassed; It was one of the common hurdles new vampires had to overcome, a bridge she thought she crossed years ago
You startle, looking up at her with innocent doe eyes. Serena holds out her hand, ignoring how she can hear your steady pulse, unintentionally matching the beat of the music.
“May I have this dance, fair lady?” She almost whispers, bowing slightly.
Your face flushes, nodding without a word, and slipping your bare hand into her glove.
Serena boldly grabs your hip and presses you against her, quickly taking the lead. Your brain fervently recalls all of your formal dancing lessons, pressing your head into her chest as she takes you along.
In her arms, following her perfected steps, that slithering self-consciousness sneaks back into your brain. Your logic tries to reason with it;
You wanted to dance, but now that this beautiful woman has gladly offered her hand, you want to stop?
But your insecurities are louder, screaming about every trip and every spare touch. This close, you can feel her firm musculature through the dress, spotting the hint of her bicep as she leads you. With her dainty and elegant hand on your side, you feel twice aware of your size underneath, every imperfection concealed by your dress.
You had fallen in love with this dress when making it, but had always been hesitant to wear it. You feared that once you put it on, that beautiful picture in your mind would shatter, leaving you forlorned of what could never be. Not with you wearing it, you had thought, avoiding your own mirror as you left.
“Something on your mind, flower?”
Serena whispers into your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. Your back jerks and contorts back into position, almost stepping your foot on hers. You shake your head furiously.
“Oh no! I-I just-” You stumble, trying to find an easy excuse, but are stopped when you take a look at her face.
She’s resplendent, even up close, not a hint of makeup to be seen. But across her cheeks, slightly faded from what looks like years away from the sun, are-
“My, you have such wonderful freckles.” You murmur, without a second thought.
Unbeknownst to you, if Serena could blush, she would. But the scrunched up look of embarrassment is telling, hinting that maybe this beautiful heiress has her own things she hides away.
“W-well, thank you.” She hastily utters, eyes averting from yours. It’s uncharacteristically shy and you can’t control the giggle that escapes you.
To give her some reprieve, you take your eyes off her face and trail them around the garden. They catch on the fountain, where the contrasting colors of your dresses stand out amidst the black. In the reflection, the two of you could not look more different. Serena stands a head above you, slim-fitted dark purple dress pulled across her curves, while your bright green dress cinches at the waist, flowing out like the flower's detailed skirt. It blows and beckons with every movement, brushing occasionally against your form and showing off the contours of your body.
Damn, you think, we look hot.
Just as fickle as it’s counterpoint, confidence quickly overtakes your mind, blocking out the noise of your doubt. You hold tight to your beautiful partner, in the beautiful dress that you made, and allow the happiness of this moment to exist uninterrupted, however short it may be.
The music increases its pace, the smooth line of a saxophone bringing up the energy. With a new burst of energy, you allow yourself to improvise amidst the strict waltz. You lift your weight off your heels and try to glide from step to step, like the fast-paced tango dancers your mother once took you to see. Serena matches your enthusiasm, gripping your waist, even lifting you a few inches off the ground when a particular chord strikes. Her fingers slightly tickle your ribs, an ecstatic giggle escaping you and you falter a misstep. Your mind almost stops, embarrassed by your stumble and that insecurity sneaking back in, but Serena follows your new tempo with grace, urging you along with improvisation.
Your bodies follow the music with abandon, ordered steps devolving into impassioned stamps and twists, Serena twirling you around as the violin and piano sing from afar. Your heart and mind are running on adrenaline. It’s like when you were little, letting out your energy in any way possible. Serena’s laughter is magical and for once you don’t detest your awkward snorts and chuckles.
As the music slows, the two of you near-tumble back into the fountain, taking a seat with heaving chests.
“Whew, I haven’t danced like that in a while!” You say, brushing a stray hair back behind your ear. Serena nods, patting her stomach as she continues to laugh.
“Me as well. I forgot how fun it could be, when you’re not counting your steps.”
“Oh good, you do that too. I always wondered how no one got dreadfully bored just saying 1-2-3 over and over.” You mutter, taking in a deep breath and patting her thigh. Your other hand drifts down to the fountain water, letting your fingertips brush across the top and inadvertently catching your reflection once more.
It’s not the most flattering angle, your shoulders slump and the water slightly distorted, and those intruding thoughts try to slip in once more.
Oh shut up, let us have this.
Your logic sighs, batting it away without another second thought.
As the two of you sit, your energy eventually begins to drift back down, your muscles slightly tired from that short burst of impact. You sneak a glance at Serena.
While her outfit is still immaculate, her updo shows the smallest signs of dishelevement, curly black hairs falling down above her ears. In a way, she’s more beautiful than ever.
“Me and some friends are actually getting together next week. The shepherd's daughter, Violet, is getting married and they are throwing a little shindig at the barn to celebrate. Do you want to come?”
Serena looks up at you, slightly surprised, face furrowed with that hidden bashfulness. But she nods nonetheless, shooting you a bright smile.
Still high off your dance, you just barely miss her large fangs, which glimmer under the moonlight.
You smile back, only startled when the large bell tower from the center of town chimes. Your head looks towards it’s large face and back towards the moon position. You’d guess it was midnight. Seems the two of you had lost track of time while dancing.
“Well, I should probably be going.” You say, standing up and brushing off your skirt. “I do have some gardening to attend to in the morning, going to need a solid amount of sleep. But,” You say, eyes demure and locked on your toes as Serena stands up, “I had a lot of fun tonight. More than usual, I would say.” You giggle, twirling a strand of your hair. Serena hmms in agreement.
“Me as well, flower. Your company has been the highlight of my night.”
In a bold move, Serena grabs your hand and lays a kiss on the back of it. Her eyes radiate that power and certainty from before, crimson irises shining in the night. Your blush crawls its way back up your neck.
“I-I can say the same.”
The two of you stay in that position for a moment, Serena pulling away her lips but keeping a lingering hold on your hand. Your heart thrums in your chest, while hers is deathly silent. Neither of you wants to be the first to pull away.
“I-uhm.” You stumble, hand still locked in place.
Now’s as good a time as any. You suppose.
In a quick movement, your hand loosens from Serena’s grasp and you give a quick peck on her cheek. In another, you have pulled away, sprinting towards your carriage.
“I-I’ll see you Saturday!” You shout, nearly tripping over a rose bush.
Left behind in the garden stands Serena, cold hand pressed against the burning skin of her cheek. Your kiss shot through her body like a lightning strike, almost jolting her frozen-heart alight.
That night, Serena goes for a hunt. She barely takes the time to change out of her formal clothes, nearly tearing the delicate lacework of her dress. Her claws catch on her gloves and almost rip apart, her heels scuffing the floor as she kicks them off and to the side. Her undead body is thrumming with life, untapped energy that longs to get out.
Her thoughts run a mile a minute, forcibly distracted by the Grizzly bear she currently has in a choke hold. It puts up a good fight, but Serena is running off of pure bloodlust.
At least, she thinks it’s bloodlust. A deeper part of her knows it's something else; The sparking fire of something new and a little bit frightening.
The last time she was personally invited to a ball, an event, a ceremony was less than a couple months ago. When you hold a position such as hers, look like her, they are common occurrences.
But to a party? Not a politically motivated meetup, but a genuine, let your hair down, party? Well, she hadn’t been to one since she was a youngling of 150.
And for the first time in a while, she is excited.

HiJack AU - Rise of the Guardians Plotbunnies
(Context: Before Hiccup returns to HQ when the Guardian signal came up, he was spending time with Jack, as per usual. When the signal came up, he had to go. Jack looked disappointed, because Hiccup had just arrived a bare ten minutes ago. It was the quickest the Aide of Hope had to leave. Hiccup was in a rush to leave, since it was the first time in a long time that the urgent signal was put up to assemble all guardians at the same time, the last time was to report about what had happened to Kozmotis. In his rush, he wasn't thinking, and accidentally kissed Jack on the cheek in a parting kiss.
They were both shock.
Before Jack could collect himself to make a respond, Hiccup dashed off, all the while thinking "Shit shit shit shit shit what did I just DO?!)
More details added to the Answer (an ask from @hamish-fanfic-fangirl )already mentioned here
The Guardians love children, as they are the Guardians of Childhood. They can't, however, have children. With the exception of Kozmotis and Anastasia's relationship, as they were created together at the same time by Manny.
Manny formed Pitch to safeguard chaos energy that would strike fears in children and leave them traumatize, impeding a healthy and happy development of growing up. Anastasia was formed at the same time, because children, and to an extent people, need to live in a harmonize environment, right?
The Guardians do consider themselves, as what humans coined nowadays, as 'Found family.' Addition to that, they think if they could have kids, they would be like and be treated like their aides.
They joke about it sometimes; North fits the role of a dad, as leader of the Guardians, Thiana being like the mother, with Aster, Sandy, and Kozmotis like uncles. Sandy's the "cool" uncle with a lot of stories to tell (or show). Kozmotis is the "chill" uncle who leaves you be but offers sage wisdom whether or not you ask for them. Aster is the one who nags a lot, sometimes more than the parents but is exciting to spend time with because of all his cool tricks.
Jamie and Astrid found it awkward, but Thiana was being playful and pretending to be like a parent and giving Jamie 'the shovel talk', when Astrid and Jamie got together, as she heard a story told to her by North, from Jim.
She was sweet about it though, going on about how they should be caring of each other and how lovely it all was so Jim made a remark later that he didn't think the guardian of memories got the point of a 'Shovel talk'
Even to the aides that aren't their own, the Guardians do feel rather paternal/maternal towards them.
Dialogue
North: Sandy, thank you for coming.
Sandy descends from the plane and floats to the ground. He joins North, Bunny and Tooth as they walk through the Globe Room. Sand glyphs appear above Sandy's head communicating
Jamie: He says that he is busy and has a lot of work to do.
North: I understand, you work ‘round the clock, da, But I obviously wouldn't have called you all here unless it was serious.
North, Bunny, Tooth and Sandy reach the center of the room. Tooth does her best to shush her mini-fairies.
North: Kozmotis as the Boogeyman was here at the Pole. *points to the globe. The everyone turns to look.*
Astrid: *shocked* Sir Kozmotis? Here? After all this time...
Jamie: Jim, did you really see...
Jim: Well, I didn't but sir North had. I think, I... Wait. *frowning as he looked around in concern* Where's Dimitri?
Tooth: But... Pitch Black? Was it really him?
North: Yes! There was black sand covering the globe.
Aster: What, what...what do you mean black sand?
North: And then a shadow!
Aster: Hold on, hold on, I thought you said you saw Pitch.
North: Well, ah, not exactly...
Aster: Not exactly? Can you believe this guy?
Bunny turns to Sandy, who shrugs while forming a Dreamsand question mark above his head....
Aster: Yeah, you said it, Sandy.
Bunny goes back to painting one of his Easter eggs.
North: Look, he is up to something very bad. *gropes his gut* I feel it, in my belly.
Aster: *eyes narrow* Hang on, hang on, you mean to say, you summoned me here THREE DAYS BEFORE EASTER - because of your? Mate, if I did this to you three days before Christmas-
Tooth (to her fairies): Argentina. Priority alert! A batch of bicuspids in Buenos Aires. Weather advisory, Astrid?
Astrid: *Pauses* Fair, all of them. Snowstorm warning in Moscow.
Jamie: Maybe that's where Jack is now.
Jim: And maybe Hic too; would explain why he's running late... Now Dimitri...
North grabs Bunny's painted egg, casually juggling it in his hand as he walks off. Meanwhile Sandy, who is being served eggnog by a yeti, suddenly notices something high above.
North: Please. Bunny. Easter is not Christmas.
Aster: *sarcastic laugh* Here we go... North, I, I don't have time for this. I've still got two million eggs to finish up.
The moon rises into view, high up in the ceiling; its rays of light begin to shine brightly through as they cascade down the walls of the globe room.
North: No matter how much you paint, is still egg!
Sandy points to the moon unsuccessfully to get the others' attention. Even Jamie is distracted with Jim and Astrid, talking about whether one of them (Jim) should go and get Dimitri. Their guardians are distracted and they didn't want to interrupt them...
Aster: Look, mate, I'm dealing with perishables. Right. You've got all year to prepare.
Tooth (to her fairies): Pittsburg, boy eight, two molars. Saltwater taffy.
Sandy puts his fingers in his mouth to whistle, a silent musical note forming above his head.
North (to Aster): Why are rabbits always so nervous.
Aster: And why are you always such a blowhard!
Tooth (to her fairies): Ontario, sector nine: five canines, two molars, and fourteen incisors. Is that all in one house?
Sandy waves a sand flag above his head, pointing and jumping and down as the moonlight continues to fill the room.
North: Tooth! Can't you see we're trying to argue.
Tooth: *Good naturedly* Sorry, not all of us get to work one night a year. Am I right, Sandy?
Sandy tries to signal with a golden arrow, pointing toward the ceiling, but to no avail as the others continue their bickering. Sandy thinks Tooth has noticed for a split second, but then-
Tooth (to her fairies): San Diego, sector two! Five incisors, a bicuspid and a really loose molar on stand-by.
North: I know it was him. We have serious situation!
Aster: Well, I've got a serious situation with some eggs.
Tooth: Hey, I hate to interrupt the, "We work so hard once a year club" but could we concentrate on the matter-
A silhouette comes out from a black spot of a shadow in the middle of the room, and Dimitri comes up and stumbles out from it. The aide of the former Guardian of Chaos seemed recovering from injuries. Even with his quick healing, it's taking some time...
Jim: Dimitri!
Jim rushes to help support him...
Tooth: Oh dear!
Astrid: Is he okay?
Dimitri: Sorry... The darkness is more restless than ever for some reasons. I had to defeat about a dozen minions before securing and leaving the base.
Jim: Wha- so if Pitch is really back, why hadn't he showed up here yet?
North: He did lad!
Jim: All due respect sir, you said it was a shadow.
North: Shadows are his thing!
Dimitri: I don't think that was Pitch yet, but a harbinger, maybe? If he had awoken, I think I would be the first to know.
Aster: Hah!
Sandy can't take it anymore, grabs an elf by his hat, and vigorously shakes it's bell. The other Guardians are finally silenced and all turn to look at Sandy, who points up, a sand crescent moon forming above his head. The dizzy elf staggers away. Finally the others turn to see the shaft of moonlight as it concentrates on the circle between them as Manny starts beaming down into the room...
North: Aah! Man in Moon! Sandy, why didn't you say something?
Sandy gives him a deadpan stare, Dream sand smoke shoots out his ears.
North (to Man in Moon as he finally appears, with Anastasia by his side) : It's been a long time old friend! Madam Mother Nature *bows curtly*
Manny: Likewise.
Anastasia: A pleasure as always, North.
North: So... What is big news?
Manny: Before I get that, there is one thing I need to address first...
Everyone looks to the center of the room where Manny manipulates moonlight to shine down intensely, the light ebbs away, leaving a dark spot ---- which resolves into the shadowed silhouette of Pitch. The Guardians look on, stunned.
Aster: It is Pitch.
North pats his belly and gives Bunny a look...
North: Manny... what must we do?
Manny: The matter I mentioned needing to be addressed...
The shadow of Pitch disappears and the circle of moonlight intensifies and shrinks, concentrating further luminating an ornate symbol on the floor, at the center of their circle. The symbol rises out of the ground revealing a large gem at the head of a pillar.
Tooth: Ah, guys, you know what this means?
The moons light suddenly refracts through the gem casting light all over the chamber.
North: He's choosing an aide for himself.
Aster: What?! You never needed one before, why now?
North: Must be big deal! Manny thinks we all need help!
Aster: We have our help. *Gestures to all aides present* Now if my own would show up too...
Tooth: I wonder who it's gonna be?
Then a bright flash, a rush of wind- and a FIGURE resolves over the central pillar: slight, hooded, bearing a familiar hooked staff.
North:
North: Jack Frost.
The Mini-Teeth all sigh and swoon as the Guardians stand there, stunned.
Jim: Well then, at least Hiccup's going to be happy
Astrid: *Shrugs, and idly shifts her axe from one hand to another* Well, as long as he does his part in caring for the children…
Tooth: And Hiccup’s going to be motivated more than ever now too.
Aster: Jack Frost!? He doesn't care about children! All he does is freeze water pipes and mess with my egg hunts. Right? He's an irresponsible, selfish...
Manny: Aide.
Aster: I can tell you that Jack Frost is a lot of things, but he's--
Hiccup finally flies in with Toothless
Hiccup: I'm sorry I'm late! *He jumps down from Toothless* Snow storm in Moscow delayed me... Er, among other things...
Everyone looks at him
North: Perfect timing Hiccup! We need you to find Jack and bring him here.
Hiccup, remembering his final moments with Jack before leaving, looked mortified...
Hiccup: Do you guys hate me or something?

i've been thinking about sirius black and grimmauld place and how much he hates it. so, here have this little fic i wrote about my take on that, just to get myself back into the swing of things now that real life has let up a little bit. warning for awful parenting that might hit a little too close to home before it goes off the rails, walburga and orion saying some really horrible things, and a stinging hex:
By the time Sirius gets his Hogwarts letter, Regulus has mastered the art of performing. He's much better than Sirius was—is—and Sirius wonders how much of that comes from Regulus seeing him make the simplest of mistakes and face the consequences. He wonders when he realised that he's being made an example.
He draws a knee up to his chest, idly twirling a quill between his fingers as his stomach grumbles. He ignores it. He's been sent to bed without supper enough times now that it hardly matters. He scratches two more lines of I will be obedient into the parchment and he thinks about Regulus some more.
He doesn't like the kid, sometimes. Envies him, even. There are things he does that Sirius finds maddening. Regulus has never spoken an original thought his life, follows every instruction given to him, willingly backs himself into corners and he refuses to put up a fight, unless he's the one who started it and knows he can finish it. What makes it worse is that these are lessons that Sirius taught him and couldn't learn himself.
Keep your innermost thoughts close to your chest and if you must speak them, do it aside, address no one but yourself.
Follow orders. Let yourself be manhandled and coerced into position by those who can see the bigger picture.
Never turn your back to your audience.
Turn the other cheek and follow through.
It's bothersome. They have a perfect little heir right there, but they ignore him just to try and force Sirius to be what they want him to be. It's a waste of everyone's time, since they all know that round pegs do not fit into triangular holes. It's suffocating, since they try to do it anyway, shaving away at the bits and pieces that won't fit, hacking at the parts of him that don't mold to fit the shape that they've carved for everyone carrying the Black name. It's unfair, that he's stuck here like this, going to bed without supper, writing lines, of all things, and riding out the effects of a nasty session of "Occlumency training", which he is certain is just an excuse to rifle through his mind and give him a headache.
I will be obedient. I will be obedient. I will be obedient.
His hand moves on its own, the letters appearing on the page ever-so-slightly wobbly as he writes without bothering to look at the words. It's infuriating, the way they echo in his head over and over, and over, again.
He lifts his head when Kreacher appears before him with a crack, his horrid little house-elf face twisted into that familiar, ever-present cross between a grimace and a scowl. "What?" he asks, and somehow, the elf's expression sours even more.
"Mistress wants her lines," Kreacher says. "Mistress says Kreacher is to collect them from Master Sirius."
"I'm not done yet," Sirius snaps, and bites his tongue when the house-elf turns up his mouth in disapproval. He takes his time carving the last few sentences into the parchment, and while his penmanship is probably the greatest it's ever been, he still scowls at the paper even after it's been handed over.
Kreacher scowls back at him and disappears. Sirius rubs his ears and wonders if the elf Apparates that loudly on purpose.
I will be obedient. I will be obedient. I will be obedient. The stupid words spin around in his head, and he scowls harder as he considers that he could probably fill an entire sheaf of parchment in his sleep.
See if I ever turn out like the bloody show dog you want, he thinks, vehemently, and shoves aside the bits of stationery on his desk so he can collapse face-first and not think. There's another crack, and he startles, forcing himself upright as Kreacher stands before him, with his little, twisted house-elf face and little, twig-like house-elf arms crossed.
"What?" he bites, again, and when the elf's expression takes a turn for the worse, he leans back in his chair and doesn't bother shaking off the vindictive satisfaction that crawls up his spine.
"Mistress wants to see Master Sirius in Master Orion's study. Master Sirius is a bad boy," Kreacher tells him, and he fights the urge to slam his fist on the desk, or worse, into Kreacher.
"Why?" Sirius asks, and he knows exactly why, they only ever want him for one reason, they never call on him for anything else, at all, ever, but he still asks. He's not actually expecting anything different, but he does it, just to be difficult.
"Master Sirius has been a bad boy," Kreacher says.
"Right, yeah. Thought as much, really," Sirius tells him, and makes no move to get up from his seat.
"Mistress wants to see Master Sirius in Master Orion's study," Kreacher repeats, and Sirius scoffs at him.
"And what are you going to do about it?" he taunts, and the elf Disapparates. Sirius sneers a bit at the wall, sticks out his tongue as he mocks, "Master Sirius has been a bad boy." He scoffs, idly kicks at the leg of his desk. "Master Sirius has been Sirius. Master Sirius isn't Regulus."
He collapses onto the desk again, lets out a quiet, frustrated scream as his leg picks up the speed and kicks even harder. He takes a deep breath as the woods shudders beneath him and eventually gets his limbs back under control. "Master Sirius doesn't want to be told what to do," he mumbles into the wood. "Master Sirius is a person. Master Sirius doesn't want to be controlled," he continues, quiet, and is glad that his moping is drowned out by the sound of Kreacher Apparating into his bedroom once again.
"Mistress says Master Sirius is being difficult. Maater Sirius must come to the study at once," the elf says, and Sirius doesn't even bother to lift his head. "Master Sirius must come! Mistress insists!"
"Or what?" Sirius asks, tone as bitter and spiteful as his little eleven-year-old tongue can manage.
"Mistress says that Master Sirius must come to the study at once! Master Sirius is being a very bad boy! Horrible boy! Spiteful child!"
Sirius feels his eye twitch as he listens to the elf slowly dissolve into histrionics, wonders if he's listening to Kreacher, or his mother. "Master Sirius is just fine!" he says. "Master Sirius doesn't have to listen to you or be obedient or anything!"
"Master Sirius must go to the study!"
"No!" Sirius exclaims, and he does bang his fist on the desk, noticing far too late that Kreacher has gone silent. The realisation strikes him when his hand leaves the desk and a hand circles his wrist, grip ice-cold. "No..." he says, quiet, and horror takes him as he involuntarily tries to tear away from the hold. If anything, it tightens.
"You would disobey your parents, Sirius Orion?"
"I—" Sirius gasps, and forces himself to be as still as possible, as steady as he can manage even though he still finds himself shaking by the time he finds it in himself to continue. "No, Father, I—"
He won't hit you, Sirius thinks. He would never stoop so low, and he isn't holding his wand. He wouldn't hit you. He wouldn't. He would never. Not with his bare hands. Not without his wand.
His trembling ceases a little, and he starts to speak again. "No, Father, I—"
"Quiet. Your mother is calling for you, you wretched child. Why have you not attended to her?"
"I'm sorry—"
"Apologies mean nothing without action, young man. Do better," Orion stresses, and Sirius bends, head bowing as he prepares to reiterate his apology.
"I—"
"That was not an invitation to speak, Sirius Orion."
"Yes, Father. S—" he bites his tongue and tries not to listen to his heart slowly beating its way out of his chest.
"This is no behaviour to be exhibited by my heir. You will get up, and you will come with me to attend to your mother."
"Yes, Father," Sirius says, and swallows the fire building behind his tongue and under his fear.
The grip around his wrist loosens, and he moves it a little, just to make sure it's still there, still attached, still working and prepares to get up even as he hates himself for listening and his father for making him.
"Quickly, Sirius Orion. Your mother is waiting."
"Yes, Father," he says, and in his mind, he kicks himself for the meekness in his tone.
When he stands up on marginally less shaky legs, Orion moves to clap a hand on his shoulder to steady him and the sheer anticipation of the touch forces Sirius to stand at attention. He straightens his spine until it can go no further without snapping, and when Orion's hand actually lands on his shoulder, he has to concentrate to avoid flinching under the touch.
Orion taps his shoulder once, twice, and then grips it with the same force he'd used on Sirius' wrist. "Go on, then."
Sirius starts to move. Orion does not let up, steel grip still locked in place as it directs Sirius throughout the house. They pass Regulus' door, and Sirius fights the urge to sneer at it, with its stupid, pretentious sign protecting his stupid, pretentious baby brother who's probably asleep with a full belly and not a care in the world with Kreacher at his bedside to bend to his every whim. Stupid, lucky performer sticking to his script... poor little contest crup doing tricks for the judges.
Orion's grip on his shoulder tightens and Sirius hisses as he bends under the pressure. "I said, quickly, Sirius Orion. You would make your mother wait even longer for you than you already have?"
"No, I—" Sirius continues, tripping over his own feet as the his own movement ceases while his father continues to push.
"She's been patient all this time and you would leave her to sit alone and unattended to?"
"Father—"
"Ungrateful child," Orion rebukes and Sirius chokes.
"Yes, Father."
They enter the study quietly, Sirius standing at attention once more while Orion rounds the large desk to take his seat. Walburga crosses and uncrosses her legs in her nearby armchair, and clears her throat. She sits up, handa placed carefully atop each other in her lap and it's an image he's familiar with. She elegantly rolls her wand between her fingers and Sirius reminds himself to tread carefully, don't make a mistake, she's armed, even if this the most demure he's ever seen her.
"Siri."
"Yes, Mother," he answers.
"Why did you not come when I called?"
I didn't want to, I hate you, I hate you both, he thinks. I was scared, he thinks. "I don't know, Mother," he says.
"That isn't an answer, Sirius Orion. If you didn't know, you could have done as I asked of you and inquired it of me when you arrived."
You didn't bother to ask. You ordered, he thinks. "Yes, Mother," he says.
"Why did you not come when I called?"
I'm here, anyways, aren't I? "Kreacher was annoying me," he lies, or well, sort of. Kreacher had been annoying him, but that wasn't why he'd disobeyed. He bites his tongue when he watches their expressions shift.
"Kreacher... was annoying you," Walburga asks, tone flat.
"Yes, Mother," Sirius says.
"So, rather than banish him and do as you were told, you chose... to disobey me?" The uptick in her voice is dangerous, but her position remains the same and Sirius falls into the trap.
"I—sorry, Moth—agh!" The Stinging Hex hits his hand and he shakes it the appendage rapidly as he waits for the pain to abate. "Yes, Mother," he croaks, when his hand graduates from acute pain to slight numbness.
"Do better next time," Walburga tells him, rolling her thirteen inches of elm between her fingers. "Apologies are worthless, I know your father would have told you that much."
"Yes, Mother. I won't keep you waiting again, Mother," Sirius forces. You'll drag me kicking and screaming next time, he thinks.
"Words, again. Powerful, yes. Useful, yes... but that's only in the hands of those whose actions are able to prove it. You've not done so, Siri," Walburga continues, quiet, and this is how Sirius knows he's gone and done it.
His hands move to clench on their own, and his aching left convinces him to clasp them behind his back instead. His legs itch to move, to run away, to go anywhere but here. He wishes he had his broom.
"You disobey. You refuse to listen. You ignore our teachings. You blunder and stumble and do all manner of upsetting things, Siri. We feed you and clothe you and we provide a bed for you to rest your head when the night comes, and yet... you continue to act so horribly. You speak out of turn, you do everything in the exact wrong manner. If I didn't know better, I would think you were doing such awful things on purpose. To spite your father and I." Her eyes meet his and Sirius can't help it, he looks away. His father's lip curls and still, he refuses to look at her.
"You are a horrible child, Siri. Wicked and ungrateful and awful. You aren't worthless, though. You're the product of your father and I, after all. And you aren't incompetent or stupid. You can be taught, Siri. All you must do is listen, and obey. You can be trained and we will make you the wizard you were meant to be as our heir. You need not do anything but obey."
Sirius takes a breath, the cool air sticking in the back of his throat as he feels the hackles on the back of his neck raise. "I—You don't—"
"Don't... what, Sirius Orion?" his father asks.
Nothing, he thinks. "It's—I'm a person! You want an heir that you can teach and train and make, have Regulus! I don't—" he starts, and his eyes widen as he listens to the words spilling out of his mouth with no permission of his and no control over them at all.
"You are a wretched, horrible creature! Awful boy! Spiteful child! How dare you?" Walburga screeches, and Sirius winces, his own mouth clamping shut. "We are your family, your parents. You would disgrace your own blood in such a way? Horrible, awful child! Incompetent! Lazy! Stupid! Never learns! You are an awful creature! Terrible boy! Unworthy! I can hardly believe you came of my loins! We have been nothing but good to you! Awful child, waste of blood, Sirius Orion, how dare you?"
She's sprung out of her chair, elm wand held high in her hand as a weapon, and Sirius ducks even as he shouts.
"I didn't mean it! I didn't, I didn't, I was only angry," he pleads. "I won't do it again," he tells them, quietly, and as his mouth quivers, he tastes salt.
"See to it that you don't," Orion says, frigid even as he rests a hand on his wife's waist to steady her and glares at his firstborn. "I'll not have such an outburst taking place again."
Tell that to your wife, Sirius thinks bitterly, sniffing as quietly and unnoticeably as possible to stave off the rest of the tears he hadn't realised he was crying.
"Yes, Father," Sirius says.
"Get out," Orion tells him.
"Yes, Father," Sirius says, and with that, he turns around and leaves. Quietly, with some sort of dignity so they don't have another thing to hold over his head.
He passes Regulus' stupid door again, kicks it and watches as not even the sign shakes.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you," he cries, quietly, as he continues down the hallway, with his voice warbling and his fist pounding against the wall as he goes. Regulus' face flashes through his mind, and then his mother's, his father's, his own. Coward, he spits, inaudible, and the word is coated in every bit of venom he's capable of. "I hate you," he says to the empty air, and not even he can tell who he's trying to address.
