So I realized I didn't read the original post correctly. OP is asking for more canon set oneshots and so here I go to rectify.

These stories have probably already been read but let's just appreciate them some more, shall we?

Cat Nap by HermitDrabbles56 is quite short - slightly less than (2k) but absolutely beautiful and delightful.

(can I be close to you?) by @astrxd is between 4 and 5k, so right in your preferred range, OP. And (as long as we're together, does it matter where we go?) is a wonderful story in the same series.

Okay so Stand By Me by @katergator84 is technically a three shot, and definitely over 5k (13k) - but it's so good so I had to include it. And Everything You Want is so funny and sweet and sad and everything and it's (5k) so it's perfect.

Another one, got you mesmerized while i die by Double_Trouble_36 has more than one chapter, but is (5k) and just needs more hype so I'm out here telling you all to read it.

Night of the Dragon Riders is a threeshot but also (5k) so I figured I'd add it here.

You'd Come Back To Me (2k) is a pre-RTTE set fic by me, as well as Oh Lord, I Think About Jumping Off Of Very Tall Somethings (3k) if you'd like to check them out.

I feel legally obligated to mention @urparty's series getting used to it. The one and two shots are a little shorter than 5k, but their writing is practically a spiritual experience so definitely read all of those stories.

Masked Rider by csienby3137 is sooooo hot and just gah always a good reread.

Silver Armor <3 Spent so much time adding the little details, and I think it was all worth it! I haven't painted Astrid in super long time and I really enjoyed revisiting the music of the films while making this :)
