He would become so confused, not knowing why his eyes couldn't help but linger on your figure, why he felt so protective of you, why he was so concerned for your health and felt like he needed to watch over you at night. Why was his heart beating so fast at the thought of you being around? His head is a mess; assuming there was something wrong with him or you, he would distance himself, treating you like the plague; whenever you would come around, it was obvious he was nervous and confused, moving away from you and making things awkward.

Eventually, one morning, you wake up to a note reading, "I'm afraid our adventure has come to an end, and you no longer can journey with us; there is a village up ahead where you can live a long life with your own kind. Farewell -Sesshomaru. You felt the tears roll down your face as you were left alone, wondering what you did wrong...

InuKag: I Will Fall in Love with You, Over & Over Again

Otherwise known as the InuKag reunion, but make it more angsty😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢

So, uh..its been a while hasn't it? Last time I actually posted on here was when I talked about the eclipse, which is LITERALLY ALMOST A FULL YEAR AGO😱 Like, the heck!? Where'd that time go???? I've still been lurking in the Inuyasha/Inukag tag and have left comments here and there, but I've been way too busy and tired with life stuff to actually POST something for a long time, ESPECIALLY my own art. But I'm hoping I can change that and go back to posting regularly, or at least semi-regularly. That's my New Year's resolution, anyway. I know I definitely want to get back to drawing more than I have been for a long time, and I'm happy I was finally able to post this InuKag comic! I started it a few weeks ago, but only finished coloring it yesterday.

Its probably unoriginal at this point, but this comic is based off the "Epic: The Musical" song "Would You Fall in Love with Me Again" because I'm obsessed and the song, particularly Penelope's part, is so InuKag-Coded after their 3 year separation.

Hot take: InuYasha is singing Penelope's part here because Kagome was the one to return and make the "long journey" (AKA the Odyssey) back to the feudal era, and InuYasha had to wait for her to come back (they both did, but you know what I mean) I don't know, I thought that was clever 'cause Kagome in the roll of Odysseus and Inuyasha as Penelope in this context made sense to me.

Anyhoo, I'm actually working on an InuKag animatic with this song as well, and I even have the initial draft done! I just gotta finish the actual line work. Would ya'll like to see what I've got so far, or should I wait until I have the whole animatic done?

Hi beautiful humans. This is my first Inuyasha fanfiction. I am posting a chapter a day for inukag-week. I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: Yearning for you

Kagome's head rolled to the left, dust filling her nose and mouth.

He was there, she could feel him as the miasma thickened.

She sensed the streaks of power resonate out as the roar of the demon hoard grew.

It almost overwhelmed the ringing in her ears. Opening her eyes seemed like so much work. It felt like the weight of the settling dust on her skin was crushing her.

Warmth brushed her cheek, the grace of a claw on her lips. As her mind was consumed by darkness, her thoughts were of him; yearning for his touch.

Inuyasha.

He saw her fall. It was an impossible height. With the immense power of the hit, her piece of the jewel shard had shattered, and she had fallen off the edge of the steep canyon wall.

Demons scrambled around her, fighting over fragments as she tumbled. He saw only her. A cry of her name rang through the air as she found ground, landing with crushing speed.

Seconds felt like hours and it was lifetimes until he finally arrived at her side. The hoard swirled as he reached for her.

Kagome.

He had fucked up.

Again.

He watched her hair whip around her face.

He screamed her name; heard her bones crack against the earth.

He failed.

Her.

He had been so confident.

Said ‘shut up and let me protect you, stupid.’

Like he always did.

Her eyes shone with trust as she watched him leap down into the dry canyon.

He had seen only fear in her gaze as she fell.

He tried to reach for her.

Desperately using his claws to rip at the purple tendrils surrounding him. He had finally broken free just as Kagome's body was being lifted off the ground before she became consumed by a bright glow as it blinded him.

But not before he saw him.

Naraku.

“Fallen” chapter 7 sneak peek

Inuyasha felt overwhelmed as he helped Kagome up the stairs and into her bedroom, her gentle scent coated the entire room and aroused instincts he didn’t entirely understand.

Why the fuck he kept wanting to bury his nose into her pillows? He didn’t, though, but the urge was strong.

“I don’t see why I need a babysitter,” Kagome grumbled as the hanyo helped her lie down, “not only am I sixteen, but I am also the freaking Slayer.”

“Yeah, that’s exactly why you need it,” Inuyasha retorted while removing her sneakers, “The doctor was pretty fucking clear you need to rest and avoid doing shit.”

She huffed indignantly, crossing her arms and glaring at him with an adorable pout.

“So unfair… Besides, I don’t think it’s fair either that you gotta be stuck here with me when you could be out there doing whatever the hell you want.”

To his credit, Inuyasha managed to hide his blush and his scoff pretty fucking well.

As if taking care of her was such an awful chore…

What a silly girl.

“Shut up and stop talking nonsense,” he retorted as he marched toward the door, “and chill the fuck down and watch some TV, would ya?”

Inuyasha darted down the stairs before she had a chance to reply and headed to the kitchen to prepare something for her to eat. Given that Kagome needed to eat bland food, he would make rice with broth.

After they had arrived at the house, Mushin had asked Inuyasha to watch over Kagome while he went to the bookshop to resume normal business hours. The hanyo had been perplexed at the request, though he was more than happy to make sure the stubborn Slayer didn’t do anything stupid, like trying to clean or lift heavy shit. Not to mention, he had to make sure she didn’t get any brilliant idea like going out to fucking patrol.

He had to admit he felt both humbled and a bit proud that the geezer had such trust in him. Inuyasha knew how much Mushin loved Kagome and how protective he was of her, both as her mentor and her father figure.

Getting to spend time with Kagome and taking care of her was the best task anyone could have given him.

Kagome attempted to get up despite everyone telling her she needed help doing so.

She didn’t need any help, dammit! She was the Slayer, she was strong! She could totally hand—

“Ow!” she protested when the movement pulled at her stitches.

“The fuck are you doing?!” Inuyasha yelled at her as he walked into her bedroom, leaving a tray on her dresser before rushing to her side.

“You said lunch would be ready soon, I was gonna go downstairs,” she explained matter-of-factly while Inuyasha adjusted her position against the mountain of pillows. Why was he doing that instead of helping her up?

Then she noticed the steaming bowl sitting on the tray.

“I’m not an invalid! I can eat downstairs like any normal person!” she insisted petulantly.

Inuyasha growled at her and while the action was to convey intimidation, Kagome couldn’t help thinking it was kind of adorable.

“I don’t care, the geezer told me to babysit your ass so you wouldn’t do stupid shit like moving around a lot and upsetting your wound,” he retorted, grabbing the tray and unfolding its legs before he placed it in front of her.

Kagome frowned at the tray, ignoring his words. There was only one bowl, one bottle of water, one glass, and one set of cutlery.

“Where’s your lunch, Inuyasha?” she asked, cutting his tirade and cocking a scolding eyebrow at him.

The hanyo opened his mouth, seemed to reconsider what he was gonna say, scowled some more, and finally opened his mouth again.

“Keh, I’ll eat something later,” he replied, shrugging and fleetingly avoiding her gaze.

Kagome squinted at him, realizing he was bullshitting her. ‘Later’ probably meant when he returned to the shop in the evening.

Yeah, no. That wouldn’t do.

“Go get something now.”

“I’m fine,” he replied stubbornly.

“Go grab something to eat, I mean it, Inuyasha.”

“Shut up and eat, I’ll grab something later!”

Kagome glared at him and dropped her utensils rather loudly, crossing her arms defiantly. “Fine, if you don’t eat, I won’t either!”

Inuyasha looked evidently surprised at her actions but quickly seemed to gather his wits.

“Eat your food, Kagome,” he insisted in a low tone and she merely stared back at him, not making a move to do as he told her.

“I’ll eat if you eat,” she quipped, growing more impatient at his attitude.

Why the hell was he so damn stubborn?

Inuyasha remained staring at her for a few seconds before rolling his eyes and huffing.

“Fine!” he snapped before leaving the room.

Kagome watched him go, grinning to herself for the small victory and took a spoonful of her rice while he was away. He reappeared two minutes later with his bowl of rice and bottle of water.

“That’s much better,” she commented, smiling at him as she kept eating.

“Oh, shut up.”

Despite the seriousness he tried to portray, Kagome could see the embarrassed flush on his cheeks.

Why would you two argue

Characters: Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku

Inuyasha

• I think there are many reasons to fight with Inuyasha when you are in a relationship with him.

• But I think the worst fight you guys ever had was when he forgot your 1 month anniversary because he had a (clearly false) clue of Kikyo.

• You spent the whole afternoon getting ready for this meeting and when you were ready, you went to the agreed location and waited, waited for much more time than you should have.

• In reality you were getting worried, what could have happened? Did he encounter any dangerous yocai? Did Naraku find him?

• 3 and a half hours had passed when you saw the white man approaching, looking very crestfallen and you worried even more, you run towards him.

• It was when a guilty look was thrown at you that you realized what happened.

• "I had to see if she was okay.."

Kagome Higurashi

• Well, here you are from the current time, and you've been dating Kagome for a few months and nothing could be better... until then at least

• Kagome started disappearing for days, she wouldn't respond to your messages and even her family wouldn't allow you to go to her room to check on her

• That was when rumors suddenly started that she was missing because she found a delinquent boyfriend and she spent days at his house

• (not that these rumors were completely wrong since although they are not dating she lives in his era)

• It was at this point that you had enough when you finally saw her on the street but when you went to talk to her you saw that she was accompanied by a white-haired boy with very... curious(?) clothes.

• well.. unfortunately for you she saw you but you already had tears in your eyes and that was when she realized what happened.

• but at that point when she tried to get closer you just ran away.

• “Y/N wait, it's a misunderstanding!”

Miroku

• Well this time it will be much simpler, I think you already know the reason why you would keep arguing.

• He's always flirting with other girls..

• Well, you got irritated but never really cared unless he touched another girl.

• But there was one time when he crossed any limit, he flirted with the girl and even left with his arms linked with her! as if you didn't even exist!

• Later when he returned to the place where you were sleeping Miroku noticed that you weren't even looking at his face, soon realizing what a mistake he made..

• “Y/N please.. I’m sorry I was just trying to help her to make her husband jealous..” - well for the first time he was saying the truth, but you still could get mad at him don’t you?

Sango

• I think you would almost never fight, and if you did it would be for a futile reason... well maybe not this time

• She had just seen Kohaku, which shook her a lot, making her become more reclusive.

• And like the good lover you were you thought 'well maybe I should check on her'.. but oh.. what a terriver idea darling..

• She was in a small tent in the village where they stopped for the night, you carefully open the door asking how she was.

• She seemed calm until she started crying when she tried to start saying something, but then in a single breath she asked you to get out of there and that she didn't want to look to your face anymore.

• As you knew she was fragile, you just agreed and left, but of course you didn't stop worrying and placed some comforters outside the tent.

• Early the next morning you felt someone lying down next to you in the tent he was in, that person was Sango, she had a sad look on her face and looked like someone who hadn't slept in a while.

• Maybe this comes from the fact that she got unused to sleeping other than by your side, you didn't sleep very well either, missing your girlfriend

• "I'm sorry darling, now please let's go to sleep.."

2 years.

It had been 2 years.

2 years, 3 months and 15 days, to be very exact but she liked to pretend not to count.

‘Kagome, would you go the market for me? We’re out of eggs.’

Mama had started leaving her little tasks like this every day starting 6 months into the well closing.

It was just about the only way to get her out of the house and into the sunshine aside from school, at least at first, and though she’d managed to force herself to reintegrate into life by this point, mama still worried.

‘The weather is nice today, at least,’ she thought, walking down the sidewalk that led from the shrine to the nearest little store she knew had eggs- and hopefully some of those little chocolates she’d been loving so much.

She didn’t think of the homework she had for once, or the things her friends had been whispering about dates with cute boys or other bits of gossip they dug up from somewhere, things she usually focused on to keep her mind occupied.

But today she was feeling indulgent.

INUKAG WEEK DAY 5/6:PERSONAL SPACE/ SACRIFICE

The hurt/comfort demons struck again 😈This is set after Kagome almost gets killed by the band of 7. In the show I feel like they got over the fact that she literally died very quickly (idk though I may be mis remembering) either way there’s a lot of angst potential.

One of my fav headcannons is that Inuyasha is more dog coded then he seems and he likes when Kagome pets his ears.

I usually don’t do such blatant angsty shipart but I’ve been emboldened bc of all the love on the last comic strip I did. I also tried out writing dialogue, I hope it’s at least a little bit in character.

I’m rlly liking tumblr so far bc it’s letting me reach my cornball potential. Lowkey making things for Inukag week is the most I’ve enjoyed making art in a while,,,, this fandom is one of the best I’ve ever been in.
