That doesn’t matter...
It is so easy to get so caught up in the things that seem important in the moment but that when you you take a step back or a few months pass, you realize were never that important to begin with.Â
On a journey of self reflection, self growth, and self improvement, you begin to see things for what they really are and on a grand scale. You begin to see what really matters in life.Â
Let’s take a look at perspective when it comes to a health / fitness journey:
How many of us start out on a health journey only to be crushed by that first time we hit a plateau? Been there! More times than I can count. And I’m here to tell you... it doesn’t really matter.Â
Or you’re cruising along on your clean eating lifestyle when pizza is brought into your house. You eat more than your belly’s worth, feel like you’ve failed yet again, and sit around feeling bad about yourself. Guess what? Doesn’t really matter.Â
You nailed three weeks of your workouts when all of a sudden your kid gets sick and you miss a week of working out while you are taking care of them. You feel bad because you ruined your streak. Doesn’t matter.Â
You’ve been 100% on plan when you go out with your girlfriends for drinks, catch a buzz, and eat food that wasn’t part of the plan. Doesn’t matter.Â
You know what I see when I hear these conversations from people?Â
I see a mom who puts her kids above anything else.Â
I see a person doing their best and living well while still enjoying the little things like oosey cheesy pizza once in a while.Â
I see a human who is trying to live better day by day.Â
I see a friend not missing out on life because they’re too worried about failing on their meal plan.Â
I don’t see failure in any of those examples and yet, for most of us, that is what we feel in those moments. Like we have failed in some way.Â
I challenge you to seek perspective and be present in the moments, accepting them for what they are and knowing that you will continue to put one foot in front of the other because that’s what you do - you keep going. You don’t quit. You keep going.Â
I challenge you to see your life from a bird’s eye view .. helicopter UP and take a look at the big picture.Â
I challenge you to show yourself grace through each moment. These are just a few examples focused around one particular area of life but there are feelings of failure in all facets of life.Â
Ask yourself - will this matter tomorrow? In a week? In six months? If the answer is “no” then bless and release it!Â
How can you flip the script on your story to see the good?
How can you change your story to one of success?Â
Remember, it’s what you do most days that counts. Keep showing up for your life knowing that not every day will be great but there is greatness found in every day. It’s there. You just have to open your eyes to see it.Â

Starting with a fat% of 21.743% and ending with 13.525% Orlanda has made incredible changes to her body, as you can see! Orlanda is a beautiful shooting star! Keep your eye out for her! Kirk wins men's division "Fat Fighters 6"! At 63 years of age, Kirk kicked butt and lost 31.94% of the fat he started with in January 2015! Starting with a fat% of 19.074% and ending with 12.982%, Kirk has made remarkable changes in his body and mind! As you can tell, he also added a lot of muscle mass and confidence by not going by the weight scale but by fat which is what he wanted to lose! By the way, Kirk didn't lose any weight on the scale, but looks awesome! Kirk worked and played so hard, I am extremely proud of him! We call him the"Movie Star" and now you see why! I love my job! Article I read: "MRI can gauge stroke risk for this with irregular heart rate" my response::Cool but let's gauge that risk before the test! What do you eat? What drugs do you do? Are you stressing every day? Do you do fun exercising? Have you checked with your doctor about taking an aspirin? Does this run in your family? Do you act as if your "Superman"? Invincible? Don't think a stroke can happen to you? If your not "Functional Training " then your probably missing out! Functional Training is training at the studio or gym and using what you learn to go outside of those places and live your life better with more fun and enjoyment and less pain as you age! Doing bench presses in order to come back at the same place and do more bench presses helps you better live life exactly how?
