Priest to the god of money and capitalism. Values beauty and appearances above all else, to the detriment of national security. Bets against own country's success in a cold war. Multiple times. Talks big about his high standards despite being the single easiest character in the game to please and therefore squeeze money out of. Objectively one of the ugliest men I've ever seen. Seriously, find some gameplay and check out his angry face... His themed discord bot makes fun of you if you don't have any coins. (ATB spoilers from here on) I don't remember whether he was personally responsible for covering up the deaths of all those civilians in the worst war crime the country ever saw, or if he just inherited the responsibility of covering it up from his predecessors, but he did so by nearly killing one of the other gods through sheer force of marketing alone. Part of this scheme involves running a combination cutthroat casino and family fun water park.

Harley:

Only in 15 episodes. Weird fucking cactus furry. Beefs with a ten year old for literally NO reason. Objectively a terrible person, but was so weirdly liked that he ended up not being a one-off rival and got brought back time and time again. Voiced by Sonic the Hedgehog in Japanese. Voiced (partially) by Tony Nominated Broadway Actor Andrew Rannells in english. 4kids was worried about him being a shitty gay stereotype and almost changed his gender before Andrew was like "no give him to me I'll do him right." Literally has no depth to his character except shit I fucking made up about him. There is no reason I should like this stupid twink and yet I cannot look away.

If you live in a place that gets snow, always kick the snow off of your shoes or boots as best as you can before entering any homes, businesses, vehicles, or anywhere the snow could make a mess.

With entering homes and business you can just kick the toe of your shoes or boots on the ground until you get off as much snow from your shoes or boots as you possibly can.

With vehicles it can be a little more tricky because there's often snow on the ground around the vehicle, but quite a few people don't like having their car kicked. So what you can do when entering vehicles is sit first, while keeping your feet outside the vehicle, then kick your feet together until you've gotten all or most of the snow off.

When snow melts it makes an awful and miserable mess. Anyone who's worked in a store or restaurant over the winter in a snowy place will tell you how miserable it is to have to constantly mop up all the dirty slushy water all day.

And most people aren't going to want their home or car to have a dirty slushy mess all over the floor either. The snow stuck to our shoes and boots often has other debris in it, like dirt or salt.

Give people the courtesy of minimizing how much they'll have to mop up the floor over the winter by minimizing how much snow / slush / dirt / salt you're dragging into their home / workplace / vehicle.

So when, for one reason or another, Danny ends up in the DC universe, he decides to have some fun when he learns about this world's thing with superheroes.

The next time Superman is dealing with a robbery, a car suddenly appears with a black and white color scheme, and starts to heckle the robbers before stopping their car with some kind of tow line.

Wonder Woman ends up encountering a talking fan that somehow manages to produce gusts of wind strong enough to take most people off their feet.

The Joker hijacks a news broadcast to announce his next plan, only for the camera system to come to life and record the mad clown getting the tied up by wires and beaten up by boom mikes.

The Flash gets some help from a living heater that can shoot flames.

Captain Marvel ends up befriending a talking vending machine that throws concussive soda cans at villains. And can also dispense normal drinks.

Someone ends up meeting a talking phone that just so happens to have a recording of the big bad's evil monologue.

Strange machines suddenly come to life all around the world, often helping various heroes. It's gotten to the point several Justice League Members are betting on who gets a mechanical partner next, and what form they're going to be in. The only thing about this mysterious hero that the Justice League knows is that he goes by the name Rotom.

(Whether or not the DC universe has Pokemon in order for them to get the reference is up to you)

Shattering the Self: A Conversation with Shuzo Oshimi

Shuzo Oshimi’s name is one that evokes a sense of dread in many circles. His most famous work, Flowers of Evil, is legendary for the rawness with which he depicts the most destructive parts of adolescence, centering as it does the toxic, coerced relationship between a boy who steals his crush’s underwear and the girl who caught him.

Oshimi’s work has not lost its raw power and interest in toxic relationships–almost all of his manga have a central relationship that at least starts off based on shared secrets, shame, and the threat of exposure. However, 2012’s Inside Mari marked a turning point: many of his later works explore the experiences of queer adolescents trying to escape from heteronormative, transphobic, and often misogynist ideas of how one should live. Inside Mari begins with a young man waking up in the body of a girl he’d been watching from afar and meeting the lesbian girl who was harboring a crush on her. The one-shot Waltz, published the year after Inside Mari was completed, centers on a girl who comes to feel possessive of her transfemme classmate as the only one who knows her identity. And Welcome Back Alice, his most recent work, stars a trio of characters each struggling to find an answer to what living a life without gendered expectations would mean, triggered by the return of their childhood friend shortly after their transition into an agender, trans feminine identity. All of these works are astonishing in the specificity with which they depict queer adolescence, with Oshimi clearly bringing his experience to them. If anything, they demand a reframing and reconsideration of much of his earlier work, showing us a new way of thinking about his depictions of women.

Oshimi’s work overwhelmingly focuses on adolescent sexuality; often the protagonists are insecure young men on the throes of adolescence, who meet a young woman that inspires in them both fear and desire–Oshimi self-deprecatingly refers to this in the afterword for Welcome Back, Alice as “[trying] to hook male readers by inflaming their libido.” But he goes on, “But I was never satisfied by just fulfilling their desires that way. I think the reason is that I myself felt something unsavory in those desires, and it ate at me that this wasn’t what I truly wanted.” The fan service heavy early moments of his works inevitably become bait-and-switches, evolving into stories that explore anxiety about sex, the gendered social expectations that come with it, and the violence that the characters wind up perpetrating against each other in an attempt to navigate these standards.
