It's been about a month since I've talked about a Million Miles Ahead of Us, AKA my ultimate x men comfort fic, and even longer since i've drawn anything for it, so. here ya go.

I seriously can’t believe Apocalypse tried to convince us that Charles met a teen with super-speed who successfully broke a prisoner out of the Pentagon and saved his, Erik’s, AND Logan’s lives when all seemed lost, reopened his school shortly afterward, and DIDN’T recruit Peter as his first student? That lonely Peter who had no idea other mutants existed until that day took 10 FREAKING YEARS to seek out Charles again? To find out if that school reopened and see if there was finally a place where he belonged? Charles just forgot about Peter and left him in his mom’s basement for a decade after all Peter did for them? Shut the fudge up, you don’t know WHAT you’re writing about, you stupid writers. Charles would NEVER forget about this guy. He knew where Peter lived; he would’ve been ringing Peter’s doorbell on day one. Literally where would the harm be in Peter being one of the students at the school already at the beginning of Apocalypse? He’d be there from the start, one of Charles’ best students being such a quick study, making friends with the other main characters, and so it wouldn’t actually be a one in a million chance that he was there to save everyone when the explosion happened. I’m actually convinced those writers hated Peter. Sure they gave him two immensely cool scenes but NOTHING else! They didn’t give him his family, his friends, his mentor, his dad!!!! KEVIN FEIGE, GIVE THIS BOY HIS DADNETO AND HIS STEPDAD CHARLES!!!!

I like to think that after Dark Phoenix Charles and Erik didn’t get together immediately.

Charles moved in with Erik, they had a three hour long debate over who got the bed and who the couch and they ended up in a day-by-day system that just had double the trouble. And of course someone was always running (or wheeling) to the other in the middle of the night to wake them up/calm them down from a nightmare. Then one day Erik came back hurt/very tired, but it was Charles’ turn to take the bed, they had an (unsurprisingly) short argument and they both ended up sleeping on the bed.

Needless to say that, after that, the only person to ever sleep on that couch was Peter when he was visiting.

I feel like no one talks enough about how in Deadpool & Wolverine, Magneto and Quicksilver were mentioned by Gambit to be apart of the resistance group (before perishing in the fight against Cassandra). To my knowledge, it’s not confirmed that they’re the exact same versions from the Fox films, but it did spark some interest in me. The writers of the film could have chosen any other X-men characters to name drop in that scene, but ironically it’s the dadneto + quickson duo. What are the chances?

Erik and Pietro were fighting alongside each other, on the same team. For the first time, they’re forced in close proximity and have to work together, meaning companionship is inevitable. But all at a cost, unfortunately.

Were they sent to the Void together, or are they from seperate universes? Did either of them ever discover their relations to one another? What became of that relationship before their untimely end? I have so many questions that i’ll know go unanswered so I would love to write this scenario into a fic, even if the ending is inevitably sad for both of them.

It’s far from ideal circumstances, but I like to think that they found solace in one another before Cassandra killed them. It makes for a super angsty story, but not without merit.
