Sure! The thing that always stood out to me about Snow on Mt Silver is the explicit implication from the title that this isn't like, a hack or cursed cheat code made by some weirdo, it's an "Easter Egg". You know, those secrets programmers put into games with the intent of eventually being found?

Creepy Easter eggs are not unusual even in Nintendo games, look at the ghost people throughout Pokémon or Mario Galaxy's Hell Valley Sky Trees, so that sort of thing was probably the inspiration for the phrasing. The thing is Easter eggs are usually some one-off thing that, if it's a spooky one, is meant to creep you out for a minute and doesn't serve much other purpose. Snow on Mt Silver is. Like. A whole Event.

It's definitely possible that whatever it was was scrapped or never meant to be found, given how its unlocked, but why was it ever made in the first place?? Why is it in the game in this hypothetical universe where it exists. What purpose did it serve. Aside from the contents of the Easter egg, it's clear that this has some form of Severe psychological side effects on the people who play it - the narrator's brother was put into a state of severe shock and the narrator themself was traumatized. Gore shit aside, the intense flashing patterns and extremely loud noises bring to mind hypnosis and brainwashing (on top of the obvious threat of seizures). Which again calls into question why this was meant to be found, at some point, by its players - the target demographic of grade schoolers.

I like to put SoMS in the same timeline as Lavender Town Syndrome and Ax Candle Rope even if they aren't really related because it creates this timeline of like. The Pokémon Company experimenting with brainwashing children. Kind of like Polybius. Throw in some other Nintendo creepypastas like Personalized Mario 64 and you can really have a field day with this hypothetical universe where Nintendo is straight up running psychological experiments on their playerbase LMAO

Anyway I like thinking about SoMS's game story in a vacuum as much as the next guy but i really wish people talked about the external story of it more because it has some uh. Implications

ok full disclosure i already had this post drafted before realizing that mira’s birthday was coming up. i kinda debated just posting the mira doodles on their own but!!! i want to talk about my craft/general color headcanons still. and the mira art is part of that!! so be warned. also, this is going to reference my post about my craft headcanons a lot so like. read that if you so desire.

i personally think that mira’s healing craft is some form of creative craft, since the game describes her holding her palms up when she uses it (iirc anyways). this doesn’t really have an effect on anything, but it’s why i decided to color it yellow!

(also i ended up making mira’s scissors craft a lot more orange than i initially planned but that’s ok!!! i think both of her crafts would be pretty Orange. just thought i’d mention that since it’s a bit different from my first post)

i already explained sif’s craft in my last post so now i get to talk about the change god!!!!!! this is like. probably the most out there in terms of my color headcanons? but i have a reason for that. since the change god is, well, a deity, i thought it would be fitting for their design to match the colors of the 3 craft types (red, blue, and yellow)! this was a little hard to work around given that i also try to give my vaugarde designs warmer color palettes, but i think it worked out!

i also gave them a few slightly different palettes, since i think it’ll make sense for the change god’s colors to be variable. they never look the same, so why would their palette look the same? + i’m indecisive and liked all of these palettes lol

Shortly after the sunningrocks battle, Ravenpaw requests to become a medic apprentice. He saw how Spottedleaf stood up for him and that Tigerclaw obeys her, it felt like his only hope for protection. Since Tigerclaw just lost his apprentice after fighting so bravely, Bluestar feels the need to reward him by giving him a new one as soon as possible- aka, Firepaw.

Fire and Raven are on good terms. Firepaw’s blind eagerness to impress and Tigerclaw’s rough, violent training often leave him in the medicine den with mild injuries, where Ravenpaw gets lots of medical practice caring for him. He’s intelligent, kind, and more welcoming than the other apprentices, and Firepaw appreciates it. Though he can’t help but wonder why he seems so jumpy around him…

Ravenpaw is terrified and guilty. He sees how much Fire looks up to his mentor but he’s too scared for his safety to say anything. The rest of the clan has grown a generally negative opinion of him, because how they see it, Ravenpaw experienced a single battle and then became this paranoid, jumpy mess. He looks cowardly, like he was running away from life as a warrior. Tigerclaw has threatened him and now his tarnished reputation makes him seem unreliable. No one truly understands his truama- except for Spottedleaf. She and Tigerclaw have a bit of history in this au (read here if interested!), so even if she doesn’t know what happened to Redtail, she knows that Tigerclaw is turning out like his own mentor and tries to keep a careful eye on his apprentices, hoping she can keep them on the right path. Spottedleaf can see how terrified Ravenpaw is of him, and even without an omen from Starclan, she accepted Ravenpaw as her apprentice to protect him.

Back at it again with another one-

Now, I sent a past mini theory that I believed Ren's dad did something to him after he ran away (Causing their mother to go into hysterics and etc Yada Yada yap yap) But I really haven't been able to figure it out despite knowing it must have something to do with the scars but once again its really hard to imagine unless he like...pushed [REDACTED] into a fire or they got in a fight and it resulted in a fire and [REDACTED] got the scars trying to escape the fire.

I haven't seen day 4 yet, only small pieces of beginning and end so bear with me for this part but could the black mist somehow be hmmm, Ren's guilt/trauma/something that haunts him? I thought about that one post where it was said [REDACTED] didn't sleep due to nightmares of his past.

Thats pretty much all I have for now as a theory/analysis-

Also is [REDACTED]'s name Draven, its the only thing I can thing of right now but it doesn't fit some categories.

Ren's scars will be discussed later in the game, so I won't say much about them here (out of potentially spoiling something). However, I will say that he only has scars along his hands and arms! It's why he started covering them up with tattoos and constantly chooses to wear long-sleeved clothes — even in summer.

As for the black smoke: its existence is a bit more literal than the concept of Ren's guilt/trauma haunting him. Again, I can't say much due to potentially spoiling things. Sorry!!

Ren's real name isn't Draven! Two of the letters in "Draven" are not part of it. It also sounds too close to Davrin, and it's giving me massive Veilguard withdrawals :( /silly

I know I've been talking abt GR a lot but this morning I'm thinking a lot about ;Blake. The Semicolon version of Snow on Mt Silver is definitely one of the ones with the most liberties taken (though honestly I have no idea why the implication that SoMS as a cheat code was seemingly created with the express purpose of traumatizing children isn't explored more in the fandom LMAO) so ;Blake is a very unique version of his character. I think he's the most tragic "ai turned self-aware" character in the AU. I can't even get into the full details of how fucked up Slenderman is to him without spoiling important plot details, but like. Even in surface level stuff. Blake cannot interact with other people for very long without harming them just by Existing. He's forced to repeat the harm he's caused over and over for Slenderman's amusement (there's honestly very little reason for them to get a gauge on "how much witnesses know", most Reporters are functionally dead the second they're brought in). He's named after the most iconic of the children he traumatized.

But also like. Even through all of this. Through the knowledge that he was created to be a monster, that the people who created his "Easter Egg" had extremely malicious intentions, after being made to torture people for years against his will, and even after all the trauma he's endured, he's still like. Clinging to humanity. Despite everything. He still cares about those he's close to and wants the best for them, and would be fully okay with dying or eternal torment or anything else if it meant his closest friends were able to get out of the Mansion. He wants to hate all of humanity so badly but he can't bring himself to, he feels bad for every person he hurts, even the ones he has to convince himself "deserve it". He wants to hate characters like Steven and Hypno and anyone else who refuses to take responsibility for their actions so badly but he can't make himself, because he understands. Yes he often makes very bad and even downright unforgivable decisions just because of how horrible of a position he's in, but there's no doubt at any point that if he wasn't in the place he is, he would be a good person. Even though he was never "human" in the first place, nothing Slenderman can do can truly wrench the last bit of humanity out of him

Bruce doesn’t realize he does it, btw. He didn’t clearly stated that they are his kids, that he is their dad, he just starts to talk about them and how proud he is, and how competent they are, and how much he cares about them, when the discussion seems appropriate to do so. But for the rest of the JL, Batman talks about three things: the mission, his kids, and his interests if you are close and it's useful rn (him starting to rant about dinosaurs to Hal when they face dinosaurs is cute). They probably tell new recruits "Batman may seem scary, but he is really just a protective dad. Soon enough, you will hear about his kids".

In the input mode they're emotionally flat, the most emotion they'll feel is related to struggling with a question due to internal conflict like how Daisy hesitates to say her birth name because she doesn't know if it's really her "name" but she has no other answer at that point. Out of input mode they'll be normal people who would be embarassed by a question like that unless they were programmed not to find it embarassing. Like Lemon isn't embarassed to have sex in public because that's normal work stuff, but is embarassed to have romantic feelings for his boss over it bc that's mixing work and personal life >.<
