I haven't yet met a single indian aspec. I've spoken to a few on dc but that's that (there are indian aspec servers but it's hard to find younger people there). I initially set up this blog to find more of us and be one among the very few indian aspec blogs, but i dint know how to proceed with that soo this is a call out to my fellow indian aspecs, come say hey. Things are getting better. I have no desire to be in love with him anymore. And honestly, I’m fine with that. To be honest, as much of a shock the divorce was, I was glad he initiated it. It was something I had considered, but never wanted to bring up.

However, I’m coming to terms more n more with the pain he caused me after. I was NEVER jealous of him having a kid. I’ve never wanted kids. I was hurt by his secrecy, and his weird behaviour. Furthermore, his lack of ability to be responsible for his actions hurt. He did a stupid, and still can’t own up to it. He also tends to flip flop on things (like kids!)

The pain is lessening, and that��s good. He doesn’t feel so awkward to be around. He is in many essences, still a child.

He picked me up from auntie n uncles place last night. He says to me ‘I didn’t know adulting would be so hard. I don’t have time for anything. Does it ever go away or get better? You remember how badly I wanted to leave auntie n uncles n be in my own?’ I said we’ll move back then lol. He says ‘I can’t, because their place is a mess n it made me sick.’ I said well that’s fair, but then u gotta deal with adulting lol

He then says he still would like a kid. I said if u think adulting alone is insane, adding a kid multiplies it. I didn’t say jt, but I thought If you’re having trouble doing basic adulting, having a kid is not for u.

I’ll let that sink in.

He kept the baby thing secret, because he was afraid he’d be judged by friends and family, because in Indian culture, gossip is particularly common n takes on a certain flavour. The problem with this is that he deserves it. He did something shady, and was afraid to own up to it. He made things worse by being shady. If he hadn’t been so shady, he might not have to worry as much.

Also, if u havnt done anything shady, then have confidence. When people falsely accused me of being a paedophile, racist, misogynist, etc. (different occasions over the years) I stood me ground, because I knew I had never done any of these things, and they were manipulating the story for their benefit. They purposely misinterpreted my actual intentions. I had nothing to be guilty of, and was gaslit. Their accessions often contradicted themselves and made no sense in reality. (Such as above, when people thought I was jealous of Arsehat for having the kid, or when they thought I was sexually into kids. I have stated many times that I never wanted kids, and I prefer them kept away from me, and fully clothed. I was actually more into older men, and that’s why I like the engines. I see them as older men with a variety of personalities. Yes, even Percy.) As for racist - I actually like all cultures. I don’t like when people manipulate or exploit others, and I hate gratuitous attention seekers. These things often work hand in hand, especially on social media soap boxes. So yeah. I have pure intentions, n I stand by that. Me physical record can attest - I’ve never been arrested, n I try to avoid drama, but I do try to help n guide others to do right n be happy. When I feel they are deserving of/ are willing to b helped.

Anyhoo, it feels good to be processing the lingering confusing feelings, and allowing them to go their way as well. I’m finally starting to move on from it more emotionally, n it feels good. I feel less uncomfortable being around him. This is why I don’t like being around men who belong or belonged to other women and why male virginity/purity is important to me. They make me feel deeply uncomfortable in an unsettling way. They make me feel always on guard. I don’t trust them. This is what causes the panic attacks to get ugly and cycle. It’s me body warning me that there’s danger ahead, and that if I don’t get out fast, she’s gonna blow.

This is not to say that blokes who have never had relationships and are virgin cannot create problems or drama, but there’s less of a chance that others get involved n make it worse. I have a long history of experience with abuse. I have ptsd. This is what I deal with. To be fair, I don’t have this issue with gay blokes (whether they have/had a man or not) or with sex/romance repulsed blokes who havnt been with anyone. Im not interested in them sexually or romantically, but i do feel I can trust them more.

I used to trust arsehat in that way. Though he wasn’t particularly sexual towards me most of the time, he also wasn’t a womaniser. I felt secure with that. When he had the secret baby, and I wasn’t filled in on details, it wasn’t the baby party that really disturbed me. It was the leaving out of details that got to me. I found out when me own roommate discovered his roommates instagram posts. If he had been honest n clear from the start, and maybe if I’d heard from her, I’d have felt better from the get go. But whatever. It’s hard to let go, and I’ll never forget the experience- however, I’m processing those negative feelings, and starting to finally let go of them. It feels good. He’s still an immature weirdo, but that’s what makes him family I guess. lol. He’s not a bad guy….hes just Peter Pan with a turban.

And me, I’m happier with me trains. And cats. And without sex/romance. Me own imagination is satisfying enough.

Not formally doing aro week posts this year, but since it's aro week and also Black history month here's a couple books by Black authors with aro characters!

note that most of these are side characters or one of a full cast!

The Beast of Okeme - two aro MCs, QPR

Dread Nation / Deathless Divide - major character (POV in book 2) is aroace coded

So Many Beginnings - one of the main characters is aroacespec coded

The Last Session - one of the main cast is aro, in a QPR

The Midnight Bargain - a major side character is aroace

The City We Became- one of the main cast is lightly aroace coded (note: character is Indian, not Black, also it comes up in book 2)

Blood Like Magic - a side character is demiromantic

I think there are two routes if you want to do Twilight as a more literal saga.

The first is that it starts with Carlisle and follows the Cullens through the centuries. That sort of gets to the idea of following one family through generations, but because they are immortal, they're just adding family members rather than cycles of birth and death. Starting in the 1600s going up through the early 2000s is more saga-y than 2 years. A family saga.

The second is to go way, way bigger and explore the larger 'saga' of the whole supernatural world. The Romanians, Egyptians, Volturi, etc. Aro's turning and rise to power, all the wars. Whatever was going on with Children of the Moon. The story of the shapeshifters (are the Quileutes the only group with such power or are there other pockets of people with this ability elsewhere in the world? That could help get away from the inherent racism of the 'magical Indian' if there are other shapeshifters out there). How all that is intertwined. This feeds more into the legendary, heroic sort of saga, with wars and battles and great feats and all that.

Of course both of these would change the genre! Neither of these would be 'romances' in the sense of the story of a couple. There would be romance in it, but it would be fundamentally a different genre.

Diverse Stardew Valley 4.0 is officially here!

DSV 4.0 is a pretty different beast than 3.0+, and it’s bigger & better than ever 😆 The biggest difference is that we’re back on NexusMods and we’ve returned to an all-in-one download: the changes we made for 3.0 was the best move for the DSV team at the time, but things have changed in the last couple of years and we’ve updated accordingly. 

DSV 4.0 also overhauls the interior of the mod with a shiny new C# engine, DSV Core, coded by the amazing KediDili. This should improve performance and make it much easier to configure DSV to your liking!

It’d take too long to list everything that 4.0 adds or changes, but here’s a quick summary:

Added over 250+ lines of variant-based dialogue

Added new additional variants which can be used alongside other variants:

Some marauders headcanons;

Remus is tallest, he’s 6’2

James is 5’10-5’11

Regulus is 5’7

Sirius is 5’6

Lily is 5’5

Peter is 5’2

- Lily makes a habit of keeping chocolate in her bag, both for herself and Remus

- Lily’s period actually syncs with the full moon (our most even-keeled members becoming moody messes together every month)

- Lily was originally friends with Remus and Remus only, it took her years to warm up to the Marauders

- Lily is the first person Remus comes out to. She’s his safe space

- Lily and Remus refuse to do chores magically. It drives their pure-blooded boyfriends insane

- Remus likes to take Sirius to muggle record shops. Sirius loves Queen and AC/DC

- one day, Sirius and Regulus decide to switch uniforms for fun. By the end of the day the marauders have managed to convince half the school that Sirius had always been Slytherin and that Regulus had always been Gryffindor. it gets even better when they can easily switch quidditch uniforms as well, as both simply say ‘BLACK’ on the back

- Lily’s last name is actually Evans-Potter, but no one outside of the marauders and Minerva McGonnagal really acknowledges that.

- Jily and Wolfstar buy flats next door to each other. It’s not uncommon to find Sirius and James sleeping on the couch at Chez-Wolfstar, or Remus and Lily having tea in the kitchen of the Evans-Potter house on early mornings.

- Regulus has his own room in Chez-Wolfstar

Ethnicities/Nationalities:

- Sirius and Regulus are French. They’re both fully bilingual and often have conversations completely in French for privacy purposes. Sirius likes to flirt with Remus in French

- Remus is Welsh on his mum’s side, and Polish on his dad’s

- James is 1/2 Indian from his dad’s side, but the Potters had lived in the UK for at least 3 generations before James was born. His mother is British

- Lily is Irish and Dutch, with a little bit of German and French in there too. Her family has lived in Britain for two generations before Lily

- Peter is 1/4 Belgian and 3/4 Dutch

-Lily spent years teaching herself BSL, and taught basic signs to the Marauders

- James is super ADHD

- Sirius has severe trauma/PTSD from his parents. There are times where he hides in his bed for 2-3 days. He’s sensitive to loud noises
