nice. of course the k-12 education system is underfunded, leading to constant teacher shortages, inadequate facilities, and subpar student outcomes. healthcare access is alarmingly poor, with an unneeded high uninsured rate that leaves many without normal, essential medical services, and even with recent medicaid expansion, mad issues still remain. health outcomes are fckn dismal, with high rates of chronic diseases and preventable deaths. obesity levels are among the worst in the nation (no wonder with all the food insecurity and lack of healthy lifestyle options around there). income inequality is out of control. they got many of their citizens living in poverty with almost zero prospects for improvement. on top of these issues, oklahoma has one of the highest incarceration rates in the country, driven by harsh sentencing laws and systemic failings which targets black and poor (because of course (because america)). all on top of a legacy of racial injustices. i mean the tulsa race massacre. need i say more? but yea they should totally spend 1bil on entertainment. that's a totally reasonable thing to do smfh.

Plot armor but it’s Bruce Wayne’s wealth.
Bruce is one of the richest men in the world. Bruce does not want to be one of the richest men in world.
He starts by implementing high starting salaries and full health care coverages for all levels at Wayne Enterprises. This in vastly improves retention and worker productivity, and WE profits soar. He increases PTO, grants generous parental and family leave, funds diversity initiatives, boosts salaries again. WE is ranked “#1 worker-friendly corporation”, and productively and profits soar again.
Ok, so clearly investing his workers isn’t the profit-destroying doomed strategy his peers claim it is. Bruce is going to keep doing it obviously (his next initiative is to ensure all part-time and contractors get the same benefits and pay as full time employees), but he is going to have to find a different way to dump his money.
But you know what else is supposed to be prohibitively expensive? Green and ethical initiatives. Yes, Bruce can do that. He creates and fund a 10 year plan to covert all Wayne facilities to renewable energy. He overhauls all factories to employ the best environmentally friendly practices and technologies. He cuts contracts with all suppliers that engage in unethical employment practices and pays for other to upgrade their equipment and facilities to meet WE’s new environmental and safety requirements. He spares no expense.
Yeah, Wayne Enterprises is so successful that they spin off an entire new business arm focused on helping other companies convert to environmentally friendly and safe practices like they did in an efficient, cost effective, successful way.
Admittedly, investing in his own company was probably never going to be the best way to get rid of his wealth. He slashes his own salary to a pittance (god knows he has more money than he could possibly know what to do with already) and keeps investing the profits back into the workers, and WE keeps responding with nearly terrifying success.
So WE is a no-go, and Bruce now has numerous angry billionaires on his back because they’ve been claiming all these measures he’s implementing are too expensive to justify for decades and they’re finding it a little hard to keep the wool over everyone’s eyes when Idiot Softheart Bruice Wayne has money spilling out his ears. BUT Bruce can invest in Gotham. That’ll go well, right?
Gotham’s infrastructure is the OSHA anti-Christ and even what little is up to code is constantly getting destroyed by Rogue attacks. Surely THAT will be a money sink.
Except the only non-corrupt employer in Gotham city is….Wayne Enterprises. Or contractors or companies or businesses that somehow, in some way or other, feed back to WE. Paying wholesale for improvement to Gotham’s infrastructure somehow increases WE’s profits.
Bruce funds a full system overhaul of Gotham hospital (it’s not his fault the best administrative system software is WE—he looked), he sets up foundations and trusts for shelters, free clinics, schools, meal plans, day care, literally anything he can think of.
Gotham continues to be a shithole. Bruce Wayne continues to be richer than god against his Batman-ingrained will.
Oh, and Bruice Wayne is no longer viewed as solely a spoiled idiot nepo baby. The public responds by investing in WE and anything else he owns, and stop doing this, please.
Bruce sets up a foundation to pay the college tuition of every Gotham citizen who applies. It’s so successful that within 10 years, donations from previous recipients more than cover incoming need, and Bruce can’t even donate to his own charity.
But by this time, Bruce has children. If he can’t get rid of his wealth, he can at least distribute it, right?
Except Dick Grayson absolutely refuses to receive any of his money, won’t touch his trust fund, and in fact has never been so successful and creative with his hacking skills as he is in dumping the money BACK on Bruce. Jason died and won’t legally resurrect to take his trust fund. Tim has his own inherited wealth, refuses to inherit more, and in fact happily joins forces with Dick to hack accounts and return whatever money he tries to give them. Cass has no concept of monetary wealth and gives him panicked, overwhelmed eyes whenever he so much as implies offering more than $100 at once. Damian is showing worrying signs of following in his precious Richard’s footsteps, and Babs barely allows him to fund tech for the Clocktower. At least Steph lets him pay for her tuition and uses his credit card to buy unholy amounts of Batburger. But that is hardly a drop in the ocean of Bruce’s wealth. And she won’t even accept a trust fund of only one million.
Jason wins for best-worst child though because he currently runs a very lucrative crime empire. And although he pours the vast, vast majority of his profits back into Crime Alley, whenever he gets a little too rich for his tastes, he dumps the money on Bruce. At this point, Bruce almost wishes he was being used for money laundering because then he’s at least not have the money.
So children—generous, kindhearted, stubborn till the day they die the little shits, children—are also out.
Bruce was funding the Justice League. But then finances were leaked, and the public had an outcry over one man holding so much sway over the world’s superheroes (nevermind Bruce is one of those superheroes—but the public can’t know that). So Bruce had to do some fancy PR trickery, concede to a policy of not receiving a majority of funds from one individual, and significantly decrease his contributions because no one could match his donations.
At his wits end, Bruce hires a team of accounts to search through every crinkle and crevice of tax law to find what loopholes or shortcuts can be avoided in order to pay his damn taxes to the MAX.
The results are horrifying. According to the strictest definition of the law, the government owes him money.
Bruce burns the report, buries any evidence as deeply as he can, and organizes a foundation to lobby for FAR higher taxation of the upper class.
All this, and Wayne Enterprises is happily chugging along, churning profit, expanding into new markets, growing in the stock market, and trying to force the credit and proportionate compensation on their increasingly horrified CEO.
Bruce Wayne is one of the richest men in the world. Bruce Wayne will never not be one of the richest men in the world.
But by GOD is he trying.

Unemployment
Unemployment has always been a serious concern in the Indian economy. Although the Indian government is developing strategies and plans to address this problem, it is still a difficult scenario for all of us. Numerous professionals, including doctors, engineers, and scientists, are unemployed or working low wages.
Doubtlessly, unemployment harms people's lifestyles as well as the country's ability to prosper economically. Several people have gone through periods of unemployment in the past and present. It differs from other types of unemployment since a lack of full-time employment marks it. Individuals, communities, regions, and the economy as a whole are all impacted by unemployment.
In this blog post, we will discuss the problem of unemployment in India and offer you some methods to address it.
What is unemployment?
Unemployment is a situation when individuals are employable and seeking a job but not able to find it. In simple words, it indicates the number of persons who desire to work but do not currently have a job in the labor force. It is typically expressed as a percentage and is computed by dividing the total labor force by the number of unemployed people. Generally, unemployment happens when a person who can work and wants to work cannot find a job.
Different kinds of unemployment in India
There are seven different types of unemployment in India. The various forms of unemployment are covered below:
Seasonal unemployment
Seasonal unemployment is a temporary period when there are fewer job prospects available. It happens when people are unemployed during specific seasons of the year when there is a lower-than-normal demand for labor.
Disguised unemployment
When people appear to be employed but are all forced to work less than their maximum capacity, it is known as disguised unemployment. Underemployment is also referred to as this condition. Under this type of unemployment, the person believes that he is employed but is not.
Technological unemployment
The term "technological unemployment" refers to joblessness brought on by the use of new technology. It is the circumstance in which people lose their occupations as a result of technological improvement.

Structural unemployment
Structural unemployment is the phrase used to describe long-term unemployment caused by economic developments. When there is a discrepancy between a worker's skill set and the jobs that are available on the market, this type of unemployment occurs. Due to the large number of people in India who do not receive employment that is in line with their skills or who do not receive employment because they lack the necessary skills and a low level of education, it is critical to offer them relevant training.
Vulnerable unemployment
The total number of self-employed people and contributing family members who have jobs are referred to as vulnerable employment. Under this condition, individuals are employed, but their employment is informal—they lack formal job contracts—and no records of their labor are ever kept. One of the primary categories of unemployment in India is this one.
Frictional unemployment
When someone actively seeks a job or a new career, they are said to be in a "frictionless state of unemployment. In this scenario, people temporarily lose their employment while looking for new ones or searching between jobs. The gap in time between jobs is commonly referred to as frictional unemployment or search unemployment.
Cyclical unemployment
The portion of overall unemployment that is specifically caused by cycles of economic expansion and contraction is known as "cyclical unemployment." Typically, during recessions, the unemployment rate increases, and during economic expansions, it decreases.
What causes unemployment in India?
Unemployment can result from several things, including:
Rapid population growth.
Low level of education or lack of vocational skills
Regulatory complexity, insufficient government backing, a weak market, and financial and structural ties to small firms render operations unprofitable due to expenditures and safety overruns.
The agriculture sector's poor productivity, combined with a dearth of alternative options for agricultural employees, makes transitioning between the three sectors challenging.
Due to demonetization, industries with high labor costs are still seeing a slowdown in private investment.
Insufficient infrastructure development and low investment in the industrial sector limit job possibilities in the secondary sector.
Furthermore, backward social conventions prevent women from reaching, starting, or keeping jobs.
Receive educational support from study24hr.com, the top online education platform in India. For individuals looking to advance their careers or improve their learning capacities, it is a fantastic platform. Students can access mock exam papers, tests, academic notes, motivational films, and various other study aids on this website to aid with their exam preparation. Also, study24hr.com enables teachers and vocational schools to publish their course schedules on their websites and receive student leads.
Measures to control unemployment
The following are strong actions that can help in reducing unemployment.
Population management
Taking steps to control the population and managing the population properly can help lower unemployment rates in the economy.
Education Planning
The provision of quality education to everyone is a further approach to reducing unemployment. The more qualified people are, the more they can learn and develop their abilities. They can therefore aid in boosting the country's economic expansion.
An accelerated rate of economic growth
The secondary or industrial sector of the economy needs to be developed urgently since it will boost both the employment rate and the rate of economic expansion.
Increase the size of the infrastructure
Extending infrastructure facilities will promote foreign direct investment and increase employment prospects.
The Conclusion
We sincerely hope that this post has given you useful information about unemployment in India. Nonetheless, unemployment is a severe problem in our country, and the government is making constant attempts to address it. To address this situation, the Indian government has introduced numerous Yojanas to advance the social and economic well-being of the nation. With all its plans and initiatives, India will soon be able to solve its unemployment issue. In addition, the best defense against unemployment is education, so attempt to raise awareness of it. The economy will expand more as your level of competence increases!

Trying to have a general conversation about the homeless population with someone who works in a mental health one step program that's sees 20% of people not finishing the program and ending up in the homeless encampment down the road.
I'm just so appalled honestly. By how they talked about it. Saying those 20% choose it. And called the program a crutch. And saying they had 3 months to get their shit together after being inpatient for mental illness where everything was handed to them.
And I'm over here fucking screaming internally. Because there's so much wrong with it and I don't even know where to start.
Like first off the program helping with job search/housing. I doubt it. Because 3 months after being inpatient for God knows how long, is not enough time to find a job. It took me 2 months to find a job after leaving my job where I was deadass in charge of a whole department. AND THE JOB I GOT? A seasonal position for the holidays.
Not to mention even if they miraculously got a job that pays well guaranteed they would not find housing. I made 17$ an hour and no one would lease me a one bedroom apartment. I once was rejected from an apartment when I made 15$ an hour. Because I didn't make $18. The rent was $650 a month.
And she also said the program shuts people out of the program after 3 tries (which is 9 months total but obviously that would be sporadic) and they have to find somewhere else.
Which like they have a limited radius of where they can feasible travel so what the fuck there.
And when I said 3 months seemed short. She was like well they were in patient first before the 3 months so obviously it's short.
NOT obvious bestie babe. That's worse actually. But I was at work when I was texting this person and I also didn't feel qualified to speak on it knowing I knew little about the program and also wasn't that educated on homelessness enough to be considered credible.
She also said she thinks of that memoir Glass Castle that we had to read junior year of high school. And how the authors parents chose to be homeless so clearly people just choose it for no reason. (Which I don't remember much about it but Im pretty sure at least one of the parents were struggling with some sort of addiction)
And I made sure to be clear that is 100% a minority situation and that there's almost always differing factors involved. And she was like yeah it's just so insane and the program can't figure out why it's happening and that's what they are looking into.
meanwhile I'm screaming because I'm not even college educated and I can see the glaring issue like a bright ass LED light. But whatever.

Useful Tips for Becoming a Successful Agriculture Investor
Agriculture investment refers to the allocation of financial resources, capital, or assets into various aspects of the agricultural sector with the expectation of generating a return on investment (ROI). This could mean investing monies in agriculture land for sale such as coconut land for sale in Sri Lanka, or other types of investments. It involves deploying funds in activities and projects related to agriculture for the purpose of profit, income generation, or long-term wealth creation. Agriculture investment can take many forms, including:
Farmland Acquisition: Purchasing agricultural land for the cultivation of crops or the raising of livestock. This can involve both large-scale and small-scale farming operations.
Infrastructure Development: Investing in the construction and improvement of infrastructure such as irrigation systems, roads, storage facilities, and processing plants to enhance agricultural productivity and efficiency.
Technological Advancements: Funding the development and adoption of agricultural technologies, such as precision agriculture, automation, and biotechnology, to improve crop yields and reduce operational costs.
Agribusiness Ventures: Investing in agribusinesses, such as food processing, distribution, and marketing, that are part of the agricultural value chain.
Research and Development: Supporting research initiatives related to agriculture to develop new crop varieties, pest-resistant strains, and sustainable farming practices.
Input Supply: Investing in the production and distribution of agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and machinery.
Commodity Trading: Speculating on the future prices of agricultural commodities, such as grains, oilseeds, and livestock, through commodity markets or futures contracts.
Sustainable Agriculture: Funding practices and projects aimed at sustainable and environmentally responsible farming methods, which can include organic farming, agroforestry, and conservation efforts.
Rural Development: Supporting initiatives that improve the overall economic and social well-being of rural communities, often through investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Venture Capital and Start-ups: Investing in start-ups and companies focused on innovations in agriculture, such as vertical farming, aquaculture, or agricultural technology (AgTech).
Agriculture investment is important for food security, economic development, and job creation in many regions. However, it also comes with risks related to weather conditions, commodity price fluctuations, and market dynamics. Investors often conduct thorough research and risk assessments before committing their resources to agricultural ventures. Additionally, they may need to consider factors like government policies, environmental regulations, and social impacts on their investment decisions in the agricultural sector.
How to become a successful agriculture investor
Becoming a successful agriculture investor requires a combination of financial acumen, agricultural knowledge, and a strategic approach to investment. Here are some steps to help you become a successful agriculture investor:
Educate Yourself: Gain a strong understanding of the agricultural sector, including the different sub-sectors (crops, livestock, agribusiness, etc.). Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies.
Set Clear Investment Goals: Define your investment objectives, whether it is long-term wealth creation, income generation, or diversification of your investment portfolio.
Risk Assessment: Understand and assess the risks associated with agriculture investments, such as weather-related risks, market volatility, and regulatory changes, whether you are looking at land for sale or any other type of investment.
Develop a Diversified Portfolio: Diversify your investments across different agricultural sectors and geographic regions to spread risk.
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify promising investment opportunities and potential demand for agricultural products.
Build a Network: Establish connections with farmers, agricultural experts, government agencies, and industry stakeholders who can provide insights and opportunities.
Financial Planning: Create a budget and financial plan that outlines your investment capital, expected returns, and cash flow requirements.
Select the Right Investment Type: Choose the type of agriculture investment that aligns with your goals, whether it is farmland, agribusiness ventures, or agricultural technology.
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including assessing the quality of farmland, the financial health of agribusinesses, and the technology's potential for scalability and profitability.
Sustainable Practices: Consider investments in sustainable and environmentally responsible agriculture practices, as they are gaining importance in the industry.
Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies, such as insurance, to protect your investments from unforeseen events like natural disasters or crop failures.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about changes in the agricultural industry and adapt your investment strategy accordingly.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with local, national, and international regulations and tax laws that may impact your agriculture investments.
Monitor and Adjust: Regularly review the performance of your investments and be prepared to make adjustments or exit underperforming ones.
Long-Term Perspective: Agriculture investments often require a long-term perspective, so be patient and avoid making impulsive decisions based on short-term market fluctuations.
Seek Professional Advice: Consult with financial advisors, agricultural experts, and legal professionals to ensure that your investments are structured and managed effectively.
Successful agriculture investment often involves a mix of financial expertise, industry knowledge, and a willingness to adapt to changing conditions. It is important to approach agriculture investment with a well-thought-out strategy, and to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges in this sector.

How it's going as a trans person in Florida: Planned Parenthood, 26Health, and Spektrum Health have announced they have paused all gender affirming care.
To recap, DeSantis signed several anti-trans bills into law this week. Care is banned for minors, care is all but banned for adults, Don't Say Gay has been extended, children can be kidnapped from affirming parents by non-affirming family, and there is a bathroom bill that subjects trans folks to arrest for using government owned facilities, such as those in courthouses, airports, many stadiums and parks.
The adult effective ban was felt immediately. The main elements are:
signing at every visit an in-person informed consent form created by the state
all care come from physicians instead of nurse practitioners
no telemed for gender-affirming care
Currently, it is unknown if existing HRT prescriptions written by NPs will be honored by pharmacies. I personally know one person who was able to pick up testosterone yesterday, but I have also read many reports of folks being denied. I myself don't have a refill ready for another 10 days and will report back after I try my own pickup.
What's additionally dangerous is those of us, myself included, who get non-HRT prescriptions from our gender clinics now face the uncertainty of continuing of *all* of our medical care. Our health clinics are at risk of shuttering permanently as they lose major income, and many of us will lose STD meds, depression meds, heart meds, etc, etc.
When we say "this will kill us," it goes beyond suicide risk from forced detransition.
"But you can still get HRT from a physician."
So many suck or are outright hostile and the demand outstrips the supply. Before I found my NP-run clinic, one physician just decided to not call in my Rx, another was so shit at reading lab results, he thought I had hepatitis, and the third I had to threaten to kick in the teeth for trying to force too large a speculum in me.
Also, the state-required consent form has not been finalized and distributed yet, so at this point, everything has pretty much ground to a halt.
It was estimated that 80% of trans adults would lose their healthcare because of how many use providers like Planned Parenthood, but the impact seems even greater now.
Tumblr media
"You can get your non-gender care elsewhere still."
DeSantis recently signed a bill that allows healthcare professionals to discriminate against trans people.
Sure, we can try to find care elsewhere, but it will be a slow and expensive process, with no guarantees. It took me over 20 years to get my heart condition treated because of transphobic doctors.
What can I do as a trans Floridian?
Stay in communication with your clinic - many are working on getting physicians added to the roster to prescribe HRT. Lawsuits are being filed and it's possible the changes to adult care can be rolled back.
Continue to try to pick up your meds, but begin looking for care elsewhere, though. Inside and outside the state.
Remember that while telemed for gender affirming care has been banned, you can still cross state lines for care. See Erin's map of informed consent clinics.
Many people will turn to DIY, but be sure you are aware of the risks here, especially if on testosterone, which is a controlled substance.
What should I be worried about next as a trans Floridian?
I worry about the following next steps towards genocide:
Banning getting care out of state. This is from the anti-abortion playbook. They will likely start with kids again, but we've seen how quickly adult care gets axed.
Being declared mentally incompetent or a risk in some way. This could be anything from being barred from gun ownership to not being allowed to work for the government.
Being declared a de facto predator. This has already happened with the latest bathroom law (cis people can eject trans people from government owned single-gender facilities, with arrest as a penalty), so watch out for it being applied to privately-owned facilities. Watch for discussions of official lists of trans people.
Gender presentation enforcement laws, essentially banning "cross dressing". Laws that block or rollback documentation changes.
These all have historic precedence and are huge "I'm in danger" red flags.
What can I do as a cis person?
Amplify all this news. Talk frankly about how this is genocide. And donate what you can to trans mutual aid campaigns so people can travel to get healthcare or even leave the state.
Here's some articles to get started on building awareness:
Take care, everyone, of yourself and each other.

There's a lot to be said about how many Native tribes, often lacking in the economic opportunities available in many non-tribal areas, have turned their economic development models towards providing services that are forbidden to provide outside of tribal land. The 1987 California v. Cabazon Band of Mission Indians ruling acknowledged the right of tribes to operate gambling facilities regardless of state regulations, and the Obama-era loosening of weed regulations made it easier for them to sell marijuana with less concern for non-tribal laws.
Although these policy developments were not something that most tribes actively sought out, they eventually realized that these policies gave tribal lands a monopoly on certain goods and services that people were unable to acquire elsewhere. Perhaps for the first time ever, government decisions had given tribal economies an advantage over the non-tribal economies surrounding them. This led many tribes to lean hard into their newfound policy-based comparative advantage, building up their local economies around non-Native tourism in a way that sits awkwardly with many Native activists' desire for economic sovereignty.
Tribes with well-managed tribal governments have been able to use this arrangement to great advantage. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (who this post is really about, simply because I know a lot about them) not only uses the money generated by their casino resort to fund social services, they also distribute some of the casino's earnings as cash dividends to Cherokee residents, effectively funding a basic income for the tribe with the money lost by gamblers (who are, disproportionately, white outsiders). After centuries of being robbed by surrounding white communities, there's something of a perversely poetic justice to this (even if those losing the most money at the casino are not necessarily the same segments of the white population who gained the most from Cherokee dispossession).
But it's not all good news. This arrangement also has some concerning side effects on the political economy of Native tribes. The EBCI Cherokee tribe have long opposed federal recognition of the Lumbee, another group in North Carolina who are the largest Native tribe in the US that is unrecognized by the federal government. One of the reasons that the Cherokee have turned their backs on the Lumbee's quest for recognition is because it would threaten their monopoly on gambling in North Carolina. If the Lumbee were treated as a proper tribe, they could open up their own casino, threatening the monopoly profits of the Cherokee casino. Thus, another use of the Cherokee's casino funds has been to actively lobby against another Native tribe.
The EBCI Cherokee's economic reliance on their casino has damaged any prospect of inter-tribal Native solidarity in North Carolina. From the Cherokee's perspective, they have been placed in a situation where the desires of other tribes come at the direct expense of their own tribes' desires. The tension between these two is not a natural phenomenon, but rather the product of a policy framework which leaves little choice for tribal economic development outside of cutthroat monopoly preservation. If solidarity is to live, the casino-first model must die. The question is: what replaces it?
