These beautiful children are part of the Abu Alwan family. Qusay and Saba are twins, born in a refugee camp just a few months ago. Ghina is 4 and just started learning the alphabet. They live with their father Mohammed and their mother Samar in a tent in Gaza. I cannot name a specific region of Gaza, because they are forced to move often due to IOF bombings and ground attacks.
As if this wasn’t bad enough, they are also subject to starvation and medical deprivation. The IOF blockade and its deliberate sabotage of Gazan infrastructure has resulted in the collapse of Gaza’s food distribution and medical care systems. The children are malnourished, which could be devastating for their developing brains. It is also difficult to find diapers for the twins, something which is necessary for the comfort and health of the twins and everyone around them.
Further, Saba is suffering constant, severe diarrhea and vomiting. Her parents have risked their lives to find medical assistance, but to little avail. They are currently waiting on some test results that may indicate what is causing Saba’s symptoms. In the mean time, however, Saba continues to suffer immensely. She requires antiemetic and antidiarrheal medication, as well as safe food and water. All of these things are extremely expensive and difficult to find in Gaza.
You can help the family in 2 ways:
1. Supporting them via GFM so that they can save enough funds in the long-term to arrange for evacuation when the border reopens, or support themselves in the mean time
2. Supporting them via MoneyGram or similar services so that they can receive cash transfers, which will help them in the short-term to buy basic necessities like Saba’s medication, formula and diapers for the twins, food and water for the whole family, and building supplies to reinforce their tent
These children deserve to live. They deserve to be happy and comfortable. They deserve to grow and learn. The occupation is trying to stop this. We can counter their efforts by supporting this young family. Message us for details.
Imagine This 🔴
Imagine your professional life is thriving. You’re reaching your career milestones, and your family life is filled with joy. Every day brings new achievements, and the future looks bright. Then, in a single night, everything you built collapses. Your dreams are shattered, and all replaced by a struggle to simply find enough to eat and drink for your children. Moreover, clear the rubble from inside your home just to find a suitable place for your family to sleep.
This isn’t a fictional story. This is my reality and the reality of countless young people in Gaza. We had dreams, successes, and aspirations. But now, we are stuck in a nightmare where memories of a hopeful past are all we have to cling to.
Thank God for everything, and there will be a better day to come, God willing
I would appreciate any contributions that can be made here 👇

i can't stop thinking about the lack of shade in gaza. with so many trees and buildings destroyed, there can't be very much shade. it's incredibly hot and there's very little protection from the sun and very little water. my weather app tells me the UV index reached 11 recently. it's inhumane to force people to live in such conditions.
donate to gaza medical tent
donate to disabled gazan children
[edit: if you’re engaging with this post, i ask that you please match my donations if possible. thank you]
🌟🌟Running for Our Lives: We Need Your Support to Keep Going
My name is Reem, and my sister is Iman. Before the war, we both had dreams of building a stable life.
Iman is a translator and language teacher, and I am an artist.
We were working hard to achieve a peaceful, successful future. But then the war came, and we lost everything. Now, we live in a place that is not fit for living, with the cost of basic needs becoming unbearable.
Since being forced out of our homes, we've faced extreme living costs. Rent prices have soared, with some places demanding as much as $2,000 monthly.
On top of that, basic necessities like food, clothing, and essential supplies are costly.
We had to leave everything behind—our clothes, tools, and food, because of the deadly bombing.
Now, we struggle to afford even the most basic items to survive.
Dear Friends,
The last few weeks have been the hardest of my life. My family and I have been forced to evacuate 9 times because of bombs falling around us.
Every time we find a place, it doesn’t last. We’re constantly searching for safety, but it feels like there’s nowhere left to go.
During our last evacuation, I got injured while running. I fell hard on the floor and hurt my hand, back, and right leg. Now, one of my fingers isn’t working properly, and I know I need medical attention. But right now, survival comes first.
I’m doing my best to keep moving forward, but it’s becoming more difficult each day.
We desperately need your help.
Your donations could help us find a safe place to stay and get the care I need.
If you can’t donate, please share our story with your friends.
Every bit of support, no matter how small, means the world to us.
It’s been so hard, but we’re not giving up.
With your support, we can find hope in this darkness and take steps toward safety and healing.
Thank you for standing with us in this difficult time.
If I must die, let it bring hope
Let it be a tale 🪁🍉🇵🇸

170 hours later and this behemoth project is completed. After being moved to tears three times by Dr. Alareer's poem, I needed to create something. Hopefully this honours his memory.
Hoping to get some funding from local orgs to get this printed into a physical booklet for distribution.
El-Rahman is an organisation of volunteers currently helping to re-settle Palestinian refugees who recently arrived in Naarm/Melbourne. If you’d like to tangibly help improve Palestinian lives right now, they take monetary donations and have multiple drop off sites for supplies.
If you follow their Instagram, they will regularly update with what supplies are urgently needed, which range from furniture, to clothes, to sanitary pads.
Can't emphasise enough how important it is for people coming out of a warzone that their needs are taken care of. We should all strive to give a semblance of normalcy to these families who are traumatised and still going through immense suffering.
Instead of getting ready for Eid festivities like they used to every year, my friend Bilal's family are still living in a makeshift tent in this sweltering heat, striving to secure the inadequate amount of food and water they can hardly come by. Since October, Israel has imposed a tight siege on Gaza, severely limiting the flow of life-saving essential food and medical items. Now, with the seizure of the Rafah crossing border which has been closed since May 7, the situation is worse than ever. Vital goods are scarce in the markets, and when they are available they're sold at exorbitant prices.
Bilal's family had to leave Rafah and go to Khan Yunis again to escape the recent massacres. It is now harder for them to provide basic needs for themselves and the children including the three newborns. The little water they manage to obtain with great difficulty is often polluted and salty. It's not even suitable for cooking regular meals for adults, let alone prepare baby bottles for three newborns if ever formula is accessible.
Every single day is a struggle for survival for Bilal's family. Their lives are constantly threatened by acute malnutrition, infectious diseases, and indiscriminate bombing. Your support has truly made a difference, but it is now needed more urgently, as the situation is getting more dire.
Please help Bilal keep them as safe as possible until the border reopens and they are hopefully able to evacuate.
It would mean the world to them if you donated or reblogged.
-> Siraj is a father of 3 young children and his family has been trying to rebuild their home since June. They have been forced to live in unsafe conditions in tents they have described as "a convection oven," and in the past week Siraj has narrowly escaped two of Israel's massacres that martyred hundreds of people. Despite his relentless efforts, his campaign has been moving slowly. His short term goal is $10k CAD, his final goal is $82k CAD, and he's currently at ~$7k CAD.

Since then, she has been tirelessly campaigning for her family on instagram, tiktok, and tumblr. She has been shadowbanned and had her blog terminated multiple times. Her total goal is €60K and she needs to get there as soon as possible.

Saba, the infant daughter of a friend of mine, is critically ill in Gaza. She was born during the ongoing invasion, and has been plagued with health problems from birth. She is malnourished, and has been suffering from severe, constant diarrhea and vomiting for many weeks. My friend was able to take her to see a specialist in Gaza, who has performed special tests to be able to diagnose her. The tests are not complete yet, as testing capabilities in Gaza are minimal right now. And unfortunately, the diagnosis will probably be of limited use, as there are few to treat the condition due to the occupation’s sabotage of Gaza’s medical infrastructure.
For Saba to survive, she requires medication for her stomach problems, as well as a special diet. The cost of these things is exorbitant in Gaza due to the occupation, and Saba’s family requires direct support in order to afford the necessities that are keeping Saba alive. They have a GoFundMe to provide for their family’s needs, but it has received very little support.
Displacement after displacement, and no one cares about us. No one cares about us. We are tired. When will we stop displacement and settle in a place that will shelter us? We are displaced from death to death every day. We are tired and no longer have the energy for anything to do. We have lost passion, hope, and everything. We wish for death every time in order to rest when the time comes to rest
Enough is enough and we can no longer bear it. We are tired. Who cares about us? Who helps us to survive? No one is able to stop this genocide and this destruction. No one is able to stop this brutal aggression. No one makes us feel the situation is very bad. I hope this ends as soon as possible
I ask for your help, and I hope that you will stand by my side to save our lives before it is too late. Every minute we face death. I want us to survive. I do not want to die in cold blood. I ask you to donate even a small amount for me and my family. If you are not able, you can spread the link to your friends on your page or even on social media.
Don't forget this and be a reason to save the lives of 7 people from Gaza. My parents are tired, their health condition is deteriorating, I do not want to lose them. Please help me as much as you can and
🇵🇸🇵🇸"The Story of Ahmed and His Family in Gaza"🇵🇸🇵🇸
In the heart of Gaza, where the sky meets the earth and dreams fade amidst the chaos of war, lives Ahmed, a man who fights every day to save his family from the horrors of conflict. Ahmed, a brave father and devoted husband, sees in his three children’s eyes everything worth fighting for. 💔
Life has been harsh on Ahmed and his family.
In every corner of the city, the echoes of bombs rise, and the sounds of screams and pain resonate.
Danger follows them wherever they go, and they have tasted the bitterness of displacement and destruction more than once. Each time the bombings forced them to flee, leaving behind the remnants of their shattered lives, searching for a new place that might offer them some safety. 🏚️In this harsh reality, Ahmed struggles to provide food and water for his children, in the midst of shortages and the constant feeling of insecurity.
He sees in his children's eyes their hunger and thirst, but he also sees their hope for a normal life, away from the horrors of war. 🍞💧Despite all of this, Ahmed has not lost hope. He knows there are people in the world who have the power to help.
Through a fundraising campaign, Ahmed hopes to secure a better future for his children, away from the destruction and fear. Ahmed dreams of a day when he can see his children playing safely, without the fear of a bomb dropping nearby. 🌟
This is not just the story of one man, but a cry for humanity. A cry that calls on everyone who reads these words to extend a helping hand to save innocent lives. Ahmed says: "I’m not asking for miracles; all I want is a chance at a new life, a life filled with peace and safety for my children."
🙏It is a call to everyone who can help, donate, share, reblog a call to save a family that has suffered so much, but still holds on to hope for a better tomorrow. 🌍❤️
