Fic Idea where Fiddleford helps Stan rebuild the portal, but Stan finds out that Fiddleford has a wife and he's like

"You have a WIFE?? That DIDN'T marry you to steal your car and money???? What are you DOING here???"

"Yeah, well.... She's better off thinking I'm dead somewhere....."

"A WIFE. That LOVES you. Get outta here and go explain yourself, Idiot!!"

"She and our son shouldn't have to deal with--"

"YOUR SON???!!?!!??"

Anyways, so Stan helps Fiddleford reach out and explain himself to his wife, but expresses that he wants to keep being in Gravity Falls, so his wife and kid go to live with them in The Shack instead.

I know it is trying to be emotionally resonate and the flute is pretty but...#It really does have the energy of “Okay thanks for listening to my tragedies and traumas. I don't know how to segue out of this.”#This madam lan design is inspired by Qourmet's design! Really good stuff that I was not able to do more with in this one panel.#Speaking of...I know it is ambiguous on purpose and we are only told what happened through LXC's POV but...#I always interpreted madam lan's passing as a suicide. I think LXC was told it was illness to soften the blow.#She was stuck in a house with maybe a servant coming by to give her food. One day a month she saw her children.#Of course she was warm and loving in their memories-#She was trying to give them a version of her that would be remembered as such. She wanted to protect them from the truth.#She did her best but she was already dead a long time ago. She must have felt like a ghost haunting a house.#Love to her was waiting. And both her boys inherited that view of love.

thinking about the emotion of walking past a house you used to live in and seeing different curtains. a different car parked outside. i don't know who you are and you don't know i exist but i do know that the stairs to your bedroom curve at a weird angle that make you duck slightly and your kitchen is unbearably cold in winter. we share that experience. you don't know it but we do.

#ive moved a lot in my life and one of my old houses is on the bus route to my moms current house #and it looks like my old bedroom is owned by a little girl now. or at least someone who would decorate their windowsil with unicorn toys #and i think about me in middleschool in that room. playing ds games. watching lotr with the curtains pulled in a heatwave.#i wonder what memories are being formed there now

The first time Steve and Eddie ever talk to each other is in the nurse’s office because Eddie had a bloody nose and Steve is…dying? Eddie thinks he might be dying. Eddie thinks that Steve Harrington is going to die while the nurse left to call his parents and everybody is going to blame him.

Steve’s face is still pretty fucked up from whatever happened between him and Billy so Eddie thinks it’s probably painful to have his arm draped across his face like that.

“Please don’t die.”

Steve lifts his arm just enough to squint at Eddie in the dimly lit room, “Huh?”

“If you’re going to die, do it when the nurse is here so no one thinks it’s my fault,” Eddie says.

Steve just stares at him a little longer than them hums to himself, “Aura.”

“Huh?”

“Not dying, migraine,” Steve says into his arm. “Start of one. Gonna be bad in like, thirty minutes.”

Eddie watches Steve swallow thickly like he’s trying hard not to throw up and thinks that it looks pretty bad now, but he shrugs. He pats Steve on the leg, “Least your mom will pick you up before then.”

Steve snorts and it looks painful with his nose still messed up, “Fat chance. M’parents aren’t in town.”

“Oh…” Eddie hums and then makes an impulsive suggestion. “I could take you home.”

“…Yeah, okay. Let’s go.”

Wait. What? He wasn’t supposed to take him up on that, “Really?”

#later Steve wakes up to Eddie checking his pulse because: dude you haven’t moved in eight hours #Steve with no memory of being in the nurses office: why are you in my house?#steve harrington #eddie munson
