okay, i finished the book of bill and i wasn't going to make this post because i was sure someone already had, but i was asked to make it anyway so here we go. my compilation of the billford content:
SONGS
three songs have been identified in relation to bill and ford:
the first is "we'll meet again" by vera lynn, which is about the singer wishing well to the listener before they travel, and promising to return home to them soon. this song comes up twice, first when bill sang it to ford in the fearamid and then again at the start of the book of bill, where ford says he still gets it stuck in his head upon waking up, giving the impression they both are singing it to each other at different points.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the second is a 1960s song by james and bobby; when you search this, the first song that comes up is "i'm your puppet." the meaning of this song is really straightforward, especially within the context of these two, but you can read this if you'd like. i believe this is the song ford is whistling in his dream before he's confronted by bill's previous victims. during this scene, he's sitting in a birch tree clearing (the tree commonly associated with bill) and sketching a yellow meadowlark.
Tumblr media
as an aside, something interesting about the meadowlark is that its chest marking has a very peculiar resemblance...
Tumblr media
the third is "sweet dreams (are made of this)" by the eurythmics. after bill tries for days if not weeks to talk to ford about the portal, bill resorts to violence and spends the night abusing ford's body and reputation. when ford wakes up, this is the song bill left playing for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as an aside, i think it's interesting that the first draft of the song was played on a black and yellow synthesizer.
Tumblr media
HOW TO TRICK EVERYONE INTO LOVING YOU
there is an entire section in the book dedicated to bill outlining his dating tips. of the 8 tips bill gives, he uses 3 of them on ford. EDIT: he uses 5 of them
the first is "the love cage," which pretty much ver batum outlines what happened in the fearamid during weirdmageddon.
Tumblr media
youtube
the second is "vulnerability," where bill advises you tell your date 1) how no one can relate to you and 2) that you have a tragic back story, both of which he does in one fell swoop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
as an aside, this is a fun chance to peek at bill being an unreliable narrator in some kind of mobius double bluff. when you read these two sections back to back, it appears bill is lying to ford to gain his trust, especially if you also just watched the previous video. however, earlier in the book, it's implied that the genocide of his dimension was traumatic and something he wishes he could undo, and later in the book, after ford leaves him, bill gets drunk and attempts to call his mother, sobbing. this gives the impression that bill was indeed being vulnerable with ford here but doesn't want us, the reader, to know it.
the third is "good ol'-fashioned valentines," where bill provides some cheap and easy gift-giving advice. he then follows this advice for ford's birthday.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as an aside, i think it's funny bill brings up cats here. who belongs to whom, william?
BREAKUP
them both accusing each other of cheating:
Tumblr media
a callback to stan's season 1 joke: "my ex-wife still misses me, but her aim is getting better:"
Tumblr media
this amazing lower back tattoo bill made him get:
Tumblr media
bill totally being fine and normal and great after ford leaves him for good. in fact, he's doing so well that he got drunk and took himself to dinner to celebrate. he's not upset. he's not upset.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and let's not forget mabel calling it like it is, as always:
Tumblr media
MISC
and finally, here are some various tidbits i just enjoyed:
ford's a cipherholic attracted to things that hurt him lmfao
Tumblr media
can you just give him a normal compliment jesus
Tumblr media
the tattoo reads "if lost return to bill"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also the "the rats were his idea? i get it now." get what baby hm? hm? hm? implying we WERE supposed to "get" something from it
Tumblr media
fated i guess
Tumblr media
not tonight dear i have a headache
Tumblr media
in conclusion, i definitely think bill is more in love with obsessed with ford than ford is with bill at this point. probably because ford's had a third of his life to come to terms with their partnership, while 30 years to an immortal being is imperceptible. given what we saw with "the love cage" and with how bill tells ford it's not too late to join the henchmaniacs during weirdmageddon, he's probably still trying to get ford back. in his own insane, demonic way.
as an aside, i do think it's interesting that the end of the book implies bill blames stan for turning ford away from him. especially since what he cites is what happens at the end of the show, implying bill thought he still had a chance during weirdmageddon
anyway, thanks for reading! if i missed anything, please let me know!

Can we Please Re-Open the Petergate?
Ever since learning about Petergate in its entirety, it has been breaking my brain. There’s obviously something incredibly important happening here, enough so that it has to be hidden until the final season of the season.
For those not in the know, Sam Owens has / had a son named Peter that was first name dropped in Season 4. For some reason, the military wants his old schoolwork as evidence in the investigation of the Chrissy murder in Hawkins.
Tumblr media
We also pretty much know that Peter is dead. The way Owens acts around Will in Season 2 as the only scientist who is actually determined to save his life, and the implications he makes that he understands the plight of Joyce both heavily imply he has lost a child. This also adds a layer to the whole ‘taking away your son’s precious school projects’ if that son is dead and those are some of the only memories you have left.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so: Sam Owens lost a child, which explains his character motivations in the show. But it’s not quite interesting just ending it there, is it? And why leave this to be seemingly be a reveal in the fifth season where we already have so much else to take care of? Would Sam Owens’ son dying really be that impactful towards the narrative? Would that warrant the copious amounts of references (at least seven just in season 4) to Peter that exist within the show and are still coming out even in recent ST5 BTS pictures?
Tumblr media
Something about Peter Owens has to be crucial information in the fight against Vecna.
Let us also remember that those military agents took Peter Owens’ schoolwork as some kind of evidence in relation to the Henry Creel murders, and it was important enough to highlight to the audience.
Let’s go over some facts:
1) Sam Owens has a house in Ruth, Nevada where he lives with his wife. Population irl of only a few hundred people.
2) Henry Creel lived in Rachel Nevada which uh didn’t exist in the 50s during his childhood where he encountered:
3) The Nevada Experiment. Henry happens upon related equipment and is briefly transported into Dimension X before coming back with powers and an altered personality.
4) In TFS, Henry is mentioned to have put a classmate from Nevada in a wheelchair following the events of his trip to Dimension X.
5) Henry was in the care of different doctors before he met Dr. Brenner and moved to Hawkins.
Tumblr media
We curiously get no more explanation on this matter; whatever happened in Nevada is probably some of the most crucial information and is thus saved for Season 5. We’ve already gotten most answers that are relevant to Henry’s backstory in Hawkins… but not for Nevada.
Some of the major questions for S5 include:
1) What is Dimension X?
2) What is the actual origin of the Mindflayer and is it an independent sentient being?
3) How did Henry develop powers while in Dimension X?
4) What was the Nevada Experiment and the original Project Rainbow?
Since the military took Peter Owens’ schoolwork as evidence… it means Peter is at least connected in some way to this mystery, if not directly to Henry and probably implies the two knew each-other and were even classmates who worked on projects together.
Here’s the basis of what I propose (to be expanded upon later of course):
Henry and Peter were classmates in their youth fairly likely at this point. Henry and Peter were working together on a project that had them investigating the Nevada cave system. Or perhaps something relating to Area 51 / secret US government stuff. The project has to be relevant evidence since the military took it. This is what led to Henry stumbling upon the dimensional equipment in the cave that transported him to Dimension X.
My question is - what if Peter was also involved in Henry’s disappearance? Maybe he disappeared with him, and this was covered up by the government. Or he was simply exposed to the event but didn’t get transported with Henry, just became severely ill because of this Dimension X virus, and died as a result.
Or maybe Peter was meant to disappear as part of Brenner’s Project Nevada experiment. They didn’t plan for Henry to be there as well, and sure didn’t plan for him to be taken. The whole “rogue staff member stealing the equipment and hiding it inside a cave where Henry just happens upon it I guess” has been weird for a while. Maybe Peter was actually older and involved with P. Nevada, and he was the rogue staff member who hid the equipment? But then how did Henry conveniently get there and why was the schoolwork taken.
I don’t want to make this post too long; but something about this gives me major Will and El parallels in a way I can’t really illustrate quite yet. Boy gets taken under suspicious circumstances that could imply HNL meddling, but this time the supernatural kid is able to save him and bring him back. Owens becomes interested by this and comes to study Will in S2.
Owens also mentions that he has risked his family’s lives for the sake of their research, which I feel is relevant here. He’s talking about the current day NINA Project… but it could of course be a reference to the fact that this happened before, and ended in tragedy.
Tumblr media
So wow, that got long! I didn’t even get to mention the Fringe parallels that people have brought up. This is just going to be Part 1 into my investigation of Petergate.
There’s so much promise in this potential storyline that I think really needs to get investigated, so I hope this interested people regardless of whether or not they’ve already come across Petergate. The fact that Henry’s time in Nevada is such a major gap in his backstory really fascinates me as to what they’re hiding from us.

"You call being chased by a lunatic snowman scary? You twit."
Tumblr media
Name: The Computer
(Mental) Age: Adult (implied)
Pronouns: He/Him It/It's
Appearance(s): Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Fog of Courage, Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog
Fandom Activity: dead at the moment. More on this later
Fanon accuracy: Man.. it's too complicated to say here
------In Canon------
Computer (yes that's its name) is the computer owned by the Bagge's located I'm their attic. Courage uses him to search for how to defeat the monster of the day, research specific items, with occasional off screen NORMAL computer activities
Computer appears in every season if the show: 9 times in season 1 (one being a cameo), 5 times in season two, 3 times in season 3, and four times in season four. He makes two quick appearances in The Fog Of Courage and Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog movies.
The Computer will usually say a snippy one liner before and or after actually giving the information Courage wants.
Courage (searching for a cure): "What should I do?"
Computer: "if I were you, I'd get a big mallet and-" (smash them presumably)
Courage: "No no NO! A cure! A cure!"
Computer: "Oh....... That's easy, get a little hair from the mole that bit you."
(Courage gets ready to leave)
Computer: "just don't get bitten!~" (teasing tone meant to shake courage up)
The Computer has a masculine British voice DRIPPING with sarcasm, having a new voice actor in every new appearance: Simon Prebble, Paul Schoeffler, and Jeff Bergman respectfully
------Analysis------
- The computer is most likely based off of a Amiga 3000
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can see the resemblance yes? Cube monitor that sits on top the rectangle (I forgot the name sue me) with the clunky keyboard (ho mama) honestly perfect for a cartoon. Although he is still simplified, without a mouse and numpad (fair enough)
Tumblr media
- In season 2 episode 14 he gains an off switch meant only as a gag. The Computer makes fun of Courage for.. being a cowardly dog and Courage flips the switch turning it off. It then disappears for the rest of the season until season 3, where it now has the words "OFF" under it.
Tumblr media
- In season 3 episode seven, Muriel presses a random key on the Computers keyboard. Which then plays [SENSUAL TRUMPET NOISE] and presumably shows something in his screen, it isn't shown to the audience and Courage covers it up embarrassed. The Computer then says "Hey, push that button again!" in a..flirtatious??? Tone, To which Courage responds by ripping out the key and tossing it.. did Courage have a P@%# Hot key?? Was it giving The Computer physical satisfaction?? Gross.
- Anyway in this episode The computer has three keys near both sides of the space bar (unlike the images shown above before this episode, which has two keys on each side)
Tumblr media
Courage rips out the one in the bottom right of the keyboard. Here's an image of the Amiga 3000 keyboard
Tumblr media
As you can see it doesn't HAVE a third key at the bottom. The quality is s$!÷ but the closest one is the right ALT key. Meaning the 'button' is either the ALT key in earlier episodes or (going off of other keyboards) the right CTRL key in this episode
- the Computer regularly says suggestive S#!÷ in a suggestive tone. In Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog: he outright flirts with Velmas iPad and asks if later she would want to do some "Downloading and updating"
Yeah I don't even know man
- The computer is a lot nicer in the Scooby-Doo movie. When I say a lot nicer I mean he only insults someone like once
-----This part------
Okay so when I first looked up the computer, I just did a quick search on Tumblr and saw only a few posts. So like a sane person I just assumed he wasn't very popular and moved on.
BUT NO! F#@%!×$ NO!!
For S#!+$ and giggles I did one lazy search and found All things End: A Computer x Courage slow burn
Tumblr media
If you use your eyes you can see 3 things: one, this has 144 chapters, 2 this has 415,955 words, so those aren't SHORT chapters, and three-
THIS IS PART F@#$%!÷ ONE!!!
This series has 3 parts, the final STILL BEING WRITTEN. it started in 2010-07-31. As of writing this that's 13.86 YEARS! This series would be getting ready for high-school!
The plot is about courage falling Ill with a rare fatal disease that will soon kill him. So he and the computer go on a quest to get the cure. The Computer gets a dog body, and the creator has drawn posters for each volume (although only volume one's showed up for me)
The first volume has 415,955 words
The second volume has 474,148 words
The final volume as of writing has 110,744 words
The total word count of the series 1,000,847 words. Giving it 217,770 more words than the kings James version of the Bible which- may I repeat the final is STILL GOING. I hope to one day finish reading this masterpiece. Godspeed Couragefan09 o7
------My Opinion------
10/10 this all started with a video on my YouTube recommended, which I use for most of the pictures. I came out of this having a new fanfic to read for the summer.. and probably fall too. With that being said his character actually made me laugh out loud and I'm SO F#@%!$# PISSED NO ONE TALKS ABOUT HIM! WATCH IT, WATCH IT NOW

Pigsy's Noddles
Tumblr media
I wanted to get into Pigsy's Noddles and try to get into the history and look at the details we don't get much on Piggsy himself so it's good to look at his home, like I kind of did with Sandy's boat but more about the chef himself. We never see his apartment so the shop is the next best place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sign:
From the sign, you can see the sign that all Piggsy till you look in the upper left-hand corner and see an addition of MK with Season 5 Piggys finally admits to being MK's father but this photo was from an episode long before that (since a hero is born). Though this addition was probably from MK from the font style. The artistic way looks like a signature of MK like he would put on one of his drawings. It could have been a prank idea from Mei and they just wait for him to see it. Maybe he already has and is just not saying anything. Along with the signature the rest of the sign: "Secret Family Recipe, Variety of Food, and Takeaway 20% off" Instead of paying more for take away he actually lowers the price. Probably due to his love and dedication to freshness, he knows it won't be as fresh by the time it reaches their tables so take money off their orders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Piggsy's Life: The Beginnings:
The pictures we see in Sweet & Sour show Piggsy's early life from a baby helping his mom (L Photo Top left) (R Photo bottom) and growing up cooking the family recipe noodles with her (L Photo middle) to either just himself or both him and his mom opening the shop. With his mom at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. (L Photo Bottom Left) From Pigsys' appearance, it looks like it wasn't too long after graduation that he opened the shop. (The mustache)
He also seemed to have spent some time on a farm from the photo on the left at the bottom right with him on a horse. Maybe it's a family farm it's hard to tell when it was taken he lakes a mustache like the Piggsy we know now but it could have been before he grew it and he was much younger but he looks full-grown compared to the size of the horse. which means it was after he opened the shop and the only reason that Piggsy would leave the shop would be for family so it could be a family farm. That would also explain his attitude toward "fresh ingredients" and the right shape carrots. He shows his love for his family when dedicate the shop to being about family recipes and he adds things like his grand mother's unique windows.
Tumblr media
The Shop Layout:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mostly booth seating with a nice cozy atmosphere. The shop is filled with things, the walls are filled with pictures, advertisements for the noodles, along with awards and newspaper clippings probably filled with the shop's accomplishments. Each clipping probably has a new accomplishment that Piggsy has worked hard for, for both him and the shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Menu and Food;
Show:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pigsy's Noodles has the longest noodles in the world.
Pigsy's serves mostly noodles but also has, noodle soup, baozi, and more.
The family recipe for zha jiang noodle soup included: bamboo shoots, peppercorn, and fresh noodles, all prepared in a szechwan pepper broth.
Pigsy's Noodles serves pork! (Not sure what to think about this?)
Tumblr media
Toys:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
80009 Pigsy's Food Truck menu:  noodles, sausages, and baozi
80026 Pigsy's Noodle Tank menu: dumplings, noodle soup, a red bean bun, and lettuce wraps.
Other:
In "Calabash", it was implied that Pigsy's Noodles opens at 9AM or sometime before, as MK mentioned that he was late for work after seeing his alarm clock read "9:01"

To the other anons I think you’re forgetting a few key things.
1. Tommy exists to move the storyline of exploring how Buck is really feeling along and whilst the argument in the kitchen and admission of feeling in competition with Eddie was a win, the narrative isn’t over because Buck hasn’t completely accept anything. Both Tommy and Maddie are hinting that Eddie is the elephant in the room but Buck is refusing to see that still.
2. Buck as the character and also Tim and Oliver confirmed that Buck was using Tommy. You do not establish a long term relationship on a TV show by having it shown clearly that one of them is in it for the wrong reasons. Buck used Tommy as a distraction, if they wanted to shut down Buddie they didn’t need to wait for now. They could’ve had Buck run into and get back together with him at any point before now. Tom himself said the reason it was Tommy is because it makes the most sense for Tommy to point out how codependent Buck and Eddie are.
3. Tommy also confirms that he only wants Buck if Eddie is out of the way and we know that Eddie is coming back. It does not make narrative sense to have Tommy admit this, have Eddie return and then somehow have Tommy decide that this isn’t an issue any longer. Especially because when he tried to point this out to Buck he lashed out instead of just saying ‘you don’t have anything to worry about we’re just friends’
4. We are not supposed to believe Buck’s words but rather his action as he contradicts himself the entire episode. Buck can’t sleep because it’s Eddie’s house, but later when he’s cornered it’s ’just a rental’. Buck says he’s never befriended Ravi because it can take time to warm up to people but it only took a shift with Eddie. Buck says he’s not in love with Eddie but spent the entire episode thinking about him, talking about him, and missing him.
5. The writers do not write the show for the fandom they wrote it for the GA and nod to the fandom. I think a lot of people thinking this is a shutdown have not been here for years. When they were actually told to shut buddie down at Fox they did an entire season basically minimising Eddie and Bucks relationship. The way to shut down a fandom would not be to do three entire episodes of how Buck and Eddie will handle losing each other when they’re just best friends. Also they would have had Maddie agree that Tommy was crazy, Buck shrugging it off not getting defensive and then going to rant to Maddie.
6. If they wanted Buck and Tommy together they would’ve done it without bringing Eddie into it. In S7 they didn’t show any jealousy and in interviews they explicitly said that Tommy wasn’t jealous and have now retconned that. Buck has accepted that Eddie is gone even if fans know he’s coming back, and yet Buck still didn’t choose Tommy he lashed out at him instead.
7. AND FINALLY: Tommy has shut down being Buck’s endgame more than Buck has shut down being in love with Eddie. Tommy literally said the line ‘I’m not your first, I’m your last’ and that was literally earlier this season! He also told Buck that he thought he would ‘break his heart’ because Eddie was in the picture. It’s literally Tommy that scoffs at the idea of Eddie being straight. And you know what Buck did? Instead of saying we’re just friends, Buck lashes out and calls it a meaningless hookup and implies he has feelings for Eddie. It would literally be bad TV at this point to have Tommy end up with a guy who was more upset over Eddie leaving than their break-up and have Buck end up with the guy who literally does not think their relationship with last.
Final thoughts: Personally I think Tommy will be back when Buck is next forced to confront his feelings as that’s been the common thread through the entire storyline. Episodes 14/15 are probably when Eddie and Chris is back or Buck knows that they’re coming back. So even if Buck doesn’t have his realisation maybe the next time they see each other Tommy finds out that Eddie is back and there’s a bit of a knowing look. We know the show wants Tommy to have always been a learning moment for Buck so I bet they meet one last time and wish each other the best.
Also let’s not forget how much radio silence there’s been from lfjr, if he were back to be endgame he’d be telling all his fans about it.
Amazing post nonny. All your points you make are what the GA or His fans need to read. Everything is right there in their faces and yet they can’t figure out what the storyline is telling them.

Tommy and Grace and Marriage Part 1
Something that always struck when when originally watching, and then rewatching, Peaky Blinders was how much Tommy wanted to marry Grace and thus how resentful he was that "work" (i.e. Russians) crashed the day he'd been looking forward to for years.
We first get to see Tommy's desire back in 1919, in season 1, episode 5, after they sleep together. We see that he defines their relationship as a true partnership.
Tumblr media
After sleeping with her and next to her, for the first time since the war, he doesn't "hear the shovels against the wall," and he asks her to "help me with everything. The whole fucking thing. Fucking life...business. I found you and you found me. We'll help each other."
Tommy offers both a plea and a promise. With Grace, he found a true sense of love, home, and safety. He is willing to be his most vulnerable with her. As "people look different at home," in seeing her there, he hopes and asks to stay. For the first time, "life" comes before "business" with Tommy. He wants to provide her with all that she gives him. With Grace, he has the strength and courage to truly live.
The episode thematically ends with "Bring it On" by Nick Cave," emphasizing his sense of feeling strongest with Grace with the following lyrics:
"This garden that I built for you/that you sit in now and yearn/I will never leave it dear/I could not bear to return/and find it all untended/with the trees all bended low/this garden is our home, dear/and I got nowhere else to go/So, bring it on/Bring it on/Every little tear/Bring it on/Every useless fear."
In the following episode, Tommy shares with Grace his fantasy and plans - that they will share a life and "home."
Tumblr media
He promises her that at "the next family meeting, I'll make sure you're there." When Grace argues that she's not family, he says back, "That could change," implying a future proposal and marriage.
He continues that flirtation. When Grace asks when they can talk so she can confess to him, he teases her, saying, "Oh, is this how it's going to be, eh? You waiting at home for me, saying 'What time do you call this?'".
Tumblr media
Seeing that Grace is upset as she is wiping away tears, Tommy walks it back, reassuring that "I was joking" and that "I'm not talking about marriage," but I think that is a lie.
I think he is absolutely is thinking about marriage and the rest of their lives together. And he is afraid that he is scaring her off.
When Grace tells him, "When you come back from the races, I won't be here," he asks, "What are you talking about?" But he doesn't let her answer.
He immediately jumps in with reassurances, trying to convince her to stay and be with him. He assumes that she is afraid of being with him and that the life he can offer her isn't one she is used to or interested in.
His own insecurities and plans come out: "Grace, I know you weren't born to be with a man like me. But I'm turning things around." He emphasizes that he's going off to get the "biggest legal racetrack syndicates in the country and I'm going to close down some of that other stuff."
He touches her face to get her full attention and asks her to "remember" that her contract is with a legal "real limited company," asserting that he'll keep her safe and away from the illegal business that he wants to get out himself.
Tumblr media
When Grace replies that she "remembers everything," we see Tommy's full desperation. He swears, repeating, "I am going to make a success of this. I am going to make a success of it. I am."
And then he switches to what is most important to him about their relationship. If marriage scares her, then he asserts that "I'm not talking about marriage," as he is willing to wait for that. For he does stumble and hesitate after saying this. He trails off, saying, "I'm so..." as he doesn't know what to say, as marriage absolutely is what he was talking about at the start of this conversation.
Tommy gathers himself, defining the strengths of their relationship. As they hold hands, he reminds her that "we know each other. We can talk. We're the same."
Tumblr media
The end of the season emphasizes Tommy's heartbreak and confusion, but also the love they still have for each other and how they still know each other.
When he returns to Grace, she asks, "What exactly can I say?...if I tell you who I really am?" Will it matter and change anything?
Tommy replies, "I think I know who you are" highlighting his uncertainty. He finally knows her true identity and motives for being there, but he still also knows the true her since she shot the IRA man (both in revenge for her father and fear of Tommy dying the same way in my opinion).
Grace reiterates that idea. She argues that they know and love the true versions of themselves and the rest is "circumstance" and "just uniform."
And Tommy does seem to accept that. When she tells him, "I love you," he believes it despite the betrayal and lies. He tells her, "away it goes," but doesn't argue that it wasn't real in the first place.
With that belief in their love, we still see how Tommy holds onto the fantasy of their future, even if it is one that he no longer sees as feasible, at least in the near future.
Where before, he assured Grace that he'd begin shutting down some of the illegal businesses, with the mess of Kimber and Campbell and the loss of Danny, that becomes a "someday." The hope is still there that "someday I will throw this gun in the canal," and with it the implication that they can have the life and marriage he dreams of.
He reassures her multiple times that he does love her even if they can't be together now. He says that "we can say" they love each other as much as they want "but there is still no chance."
In his closing letter, he confesses that he never "loved" an enemy before her and that the idea of going to New York to be with her is "interesting" and appealing. In his heartbreak, he reverts to putting business first. In telling her no, he cites "responsibilities" as the reason he must stay.
But even in telling her no, the hope of someday is still there. He tells her he used to flip a coin to help him make decisions, and "perhaps that is what I will do again." The decision he just made is one that can easily change "within three days, " as the love they have for each other is real.
He ends the letter reassuring her that he does believe that she loves him as "Polly is never wrong about matters of the heart," and with that, he offers her "all my love."
Thus, the desire to marry Grace is not dead or forgotten, and season 2 will show us that time, in fact, does heal these wounds that leave him uncertain and unable to commit right now.

I'm not sure they were necessarily trying to imply Klaus and Allison always had that relationship. They've been living together for 5 years by the time we catch up with them, only three of which he was sober. That leaves him with two years of getting into trouble and asking Allison for help. For all we know that's exactly how he came to live in her basement in the first place.
It would have really helped if s4 hadn't wasted so much time on useless storylines and focused on the character relationships instead... The Klaus/Allison/Claire dynamic was so interesting, I wanted to see more of them.
I thought that was the route they were going down as well and I enjoyed that relationship. The gaslighting I feel was mainly from the argument they had while Klaus was speaking of the last 5 years Allison was saying that she had been dealing with his shit since they were kids and she was always the one dealing with it which is just not substantiated by anything from the previous seasons. Also the flash back to when they were kids with the Jennifer Incident they purposefully add a little scene of teen allison corraling a drunk/high teen Klaus, trying to back up her earlier assertions. Which is just weird. And I would have honestly preferred if they just focused on the 5 years they've spent relying on each other and building a new sibling relationship that would have given the argument more impact on both sides I think.
I agree the Klaus/Allison/Claire dynamic was really fun and I really enjoyed it but it honestly felt like it went nowhere. Klaus became an extreme germaphobe got his powers back blew up at allison they get in a fight and then she saves him that's so surface level of the complex family dynamics we got a glimpse at especially with Ray walking out and Allison's stalled movie career. it was just such a missed opportunity. I'd have liked to have all the siblings interact with the kids more really show that this new life they've built for themselves isn't all bad and that further complicates the decisions characters have to make. the birthday party scene was really great to me and I wish we could have seen more like it.

Jamil Info Compilation part 5: Jamil and Azul
Azul and Jamil are in the same homeroom and share a number of electives. Azul describes Jamil as demure, poised and someone who hardly ever ventures opinions of his own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Jamil finally share his true opinions about Kalim after Azul helps bring down Jamil in Book 4, and Azul says that he likes the authentic Jamil much more.
(Leona makes a similar comment in Book 6 saying that he, too, prefers it when Jamil shows his emotions, as it is an improvement over his "usual, sycophantic attitude.")
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamil says that Azul’s “ingratiating smile” grosses him out and Azul says that he has been curious about Jamil ever since their first year, inviting Jamil to transfer to Octavinelle.
Jamil responds, “Not on your life,” lashes out at Azul for “monologuing” and says that he will be “perfectly content” never being friends with Azul.
Having added a “new truth” to his secret collection, Azul does not press the matter.
When Azul is pretending to be mind-controlled by Jamil, Jamil says that he “made the right call” by not making friends with Azul, implying that he has been avoiding Azul for just as long as Azul has been interested in him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Azul and Jamil overlap briefly in Book 5 with Azul again offering him a place at Octavinelle (Jamil: “Octavinelle is the last dorm I would ever transfer to,” and in his second birthday vignette he says that if he were to transfer to anywhere, it would be to Ignihyde, as well as that he would like to avoid Octavinelle at all costs as he would never get a moment's peace.)
Azul is Jamil’s judge in Culinary Crucible and offers him a job in the Mostro Lounge kitchen, which Jamil also refuses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Jamil’s lab wear vignette Azul happily declares to Riddle that he and Jamil were brought together by their “deep and enduring bond as classmates,” but Jamil follows with, “Don’t listen to him. We just happened to run into each other when we were both on our way to the lab room.”
Azul reiterates his curiosity about Jamil, saying that he gets the feeling that they could do “some wonderful business together,” while Jamil says he feels the exact opposite.
In a PE vignette Jamil is assigned to teach Azul how to fly by Vargas, but Azul refuses his assistance on the basis that he does not trust that Jamil does not have an ulterior motive.
Vargas refuses to let either student leave the field until Azul can fly straight for 50 meters, and Jamil insists, “if Kalim can learn to fly with my advice, then you can, too.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamil eventually gives in and pretends to want an exam study guide. In exchange, and Azul accepts his advice.
In Floyd’s ceremonial robes vignette we see the two overlap again with Azul visiting Scarabia for the express purpose of helping Jamil explain the shambles that result from a performance by Floyd to the headmage (“And yet I doubt you offer your services for free.”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamil seems constantly cautious of Azul, saying during Halloween that he is suspicious of how little Azul eats.
(Azul has issues with food stemming from his childhood, but he deflects Jamil’s line of questioning by claiming that he is just an “honest businessman” who is scoping out the catering.)
Jamil is even suspicious of the way in which Azul wishes him happy birthday.
Jamil has a voice line about receiving seasoning that he’d wanted as a birthday gift from Azul, but he is uncomfortable about it because he has no memory of telling anyone he’d wanted it.

I see so much discourse on X about Celeborn and as a multi shipper it's quite annoying. I don't think people realize that Haladriel isn't going anywhere. In fact, when you compare all the established canon couple fanworks against all the protagonist/antagonist (even anti-heros) fanworks in ALL SERIES/BOOKS/SHOWS/ETC TO EVER EXIST, there will always be more of the latter simply because of 2 reasons: the what if's to be explored and the forbidden aspect of it. I wish ppl would calm down. I also find it silly when I see my own mutuals dunk on Haladriel over the 'toxic' aspects and it bothers me too since I like both ships. Unlike Celedriel, you guys can take a Sauron & Galadriel relationship (in all sense of the word, not just in a pairing context) and take it in ANY direction you want, with enough creativity. You can write them as friends in an AU, or even before they became known by their names (like her meeting Mairon before he became Sauron). You can write S1 and S2 (even 3-5) divergence fics, redemption arcs, dystopia fics, crack fics, dead doves, or even fluff (like off-stage AU where they're not enemies off screen). Heck, since you guys got the mind palace thing, and with her growth over the ages, you can even find ways to make non-AU fluff/hurt&comfort (maybe when they're both tired of this endless fight of the ages because it's a stalemate and he wants to repent but he can't due to Morgoth's corruption and he knows it?). Haladriel has a cosmic connection, and I think this implies that even if one of them dies, it will still exist somehow even when they pass into the Undying lands. Haladriels don't understand how much advantage they have with being portrayed by actors with amazing chemistry, an established and growing fanbase, an entire season without any kind of background conflict that takes the focus away from them as their relationship was explored and developed, having it all: UST, 'acquaintances fighting alongside each other to become friends' and the 'friends-to almost?-to enemies' aspect, and there are even Tolkien's writings that confirm he is capable of redemption. I've even seen well-written fan theories on ways that he can redeem himself too. It's like star-crossed lovers baked into every kind of trope that ppl like to explore. Really, I don't understand how it's not obvious enough. Yes, she ends up with Celeborn, and they are happily married and their relationship is secure and comfy. I know that may sound boring to some, but that's why I like Haladriel too, because their relationship isn't confined to only one narrative, unlike Tolkien's works. Yes, you can argue that Haladriel has a doomship narrative because they don't end up together, but the appeal of doomships is that you can DO so much with it in fanon, even completely reverse it (as I've seen in fanfics already). If you tried to do something similar with an established canon ship where they are supposed to be happily married, it doesn't make much sense, unless it's for angst. Celeborn is just a humble normal elf and he doesn't have any that. He just trying to vibe, support Galadriel, and not piss anyone off lol. And I say all of that as a pro-Celeborn fan lol. Sorry for this long rant, I just wish they would leave my poor silver clam alone ;_; and for fans to stop fighting.
I agree 💯 with all of this. That’s why I can happily digest all forms of haladriel. Modern AU, canon divergence, coffee shop fluff, Sauron redemption arc, socially awkward Mairon. All of it. And thank peanut butter and bagels the fanfic writers in this fandom are bar none some of the best fucking writers I have ever read. We are so lucky.

I need these men to talk. I need Stede to take his own advice and not fucking bottle it up. There are so many insecurities and misconceptions between them and they need to start at the beginning, they need to talk about why Stede left (and why he came back)!
Both Mary and Ed referred to him returning home as a whim and i think that's unfair. 'Whim' implies a certain amount of carelessness and shallowness, which I feel doesn't apply to what happened. Stede had been feeling immense amounts of guilt about abandoning his family the entire season (which he didn't talk about or try to work through at all), then he caused the death of another person after being told he ruins everything he touches, then he walked all the way back to his house and it was clear he wasn't all there. He didn't just wake up that night and decide 'you know what? I'm not interested in Ed anymore and I'd rather go back to my wealth and nice things and pretty wife.' Like yeah, it wasn't planned, but I don't think it's fair to call psychological trauma a whim.
And Ed needs to know this! Have they talked about this at all? Does he know anything about what Stede went through that night? Does he know that Stede and Mary were so happy separated but so miserable together that she tried to murder him? That it was after Mary helped him realize how much he loved Ed and how much happier he was that he decided to leave? That he renounced his title, his land, his money, faked his own death, burned any bridges back to his old life to find Ed again? That he gave up everything he had not for piracy or the crew, but for Ed?!
If they would just fucking talk to each other about the actual important shit, how they both feel like they've ruined each other and aren't good enough for each other and like the other loves a version themselves that they don't want to be. I loved the kiss scene in ep 5 and the 'let's take it slow' not because I felt like that in itself was the paragon of communication, but because it implied further communication. It implied they would have the big conversations, but they're both trying to move past everything because they're too scared to be emotionally vulnerable about their insecurities with each other.
Initially I thought it was good they were staying together while working stuff out, but now I feel like maybe a couple weeks apart would be really good for them and give them time to think about what needs to happen and what needs to be shared for this relationship to move forward. Also, Ed's been through a lot of shit the past week, maybe some actual alone time would really do him good.
Best case scenario for me at this point is the season ends with Ed and Stede sitting together after all the action and Ed holds his hand and says "Stede, I love you and want to be with you, but I think we need to talk about our shit first." And Stede squeezes his hand and says, "I think you might be right." And then the camera pans away from them with a slightly open but hopeful ending.

If you had to pick an episode for Jeff and Annie to get together, which one would it be?
Hmmm excellent question
I think that, because it’s community and the focus has never been on relationships too much, I would’ve liked them doing relationship stuff on the sidelines. Like—
Maybe have them just hook up in season 4
add a scene at the end of the Christmas episode where everyone else has gone home and they are laughing about the day and Annie is helping clean.
She says something like “sorry if I made that get out of hand. I know I can be… dramatic… and too much”
And Jeff can say something like “cmon Annie. You’re never too much. You’re a perfect amount and make every situation better even when you make it worse”
He goes to move into the kitchen, or tries to ruffle her hair but she catches his hand, looking gobsmacked, and they look at each other
End episode
Then the next episode is the body switching episode (a lot of people say the best ep of season 4 and that’s fair, except troy treats poor Britta like crap)
Start it with Annie waking up in Jeff’s bed and sneaking out
Maybe they are kind of avoiding eye contact that day
When Jeff has his speech to Troy about how he wishes he was brave enough to commit to a relationship, maybe a line about how knowing troy makes him feel braver? Implied he’s thinking about Annie
At the end of the episode he goes to talk to Annie and it’s obvious he’s going to suggest they actually date but before he gets there she cuts him off and says:
“Jeff, knowing you has really helped me relax. I love that I don’t always have to be thinking of the future! I can just live my life and see where things go. I guess I’m more mature now!”
As she wanders off, it’s clear that Jeff is devastated
Then never address it again in season 4
In season 5, maybe one glance in the first episode that makes it clear that they aren’t sure where they left off
In the polygraph episode just add a line where pierce conveys to the gang
“did you know Mr. Winger and Ms. Edison have been seeing each other since they got back to greendale?”
Everyone is shocked
Jeff cries out “how could he know that”
Annie is like “pierce promised our monthly coffee catch ups were confidential!” Or something
Then when questioned, both insist “we’re casual! It’s casual!”
The rest of the season, their interactions are a bit different. They hold hands when people aren’t looking, he’s shown holding her food or bringing her coffee.
Season 5 finale
in the show has the Jeff-Britta engagement. If we really need to keep that we can have Jeff/Annie say they’ve ended things at the start of the episode.
But I say we get rid of the subplot.
Maybe instead he and Annie are talking about ending things in their casual relationship since it’s ~casual~ and they are going to have to separate when the school is closed.
And maybe she’s like “it works out; Abed wants to downsize to a cheaper place anyway; I’m going to transfer out of the city because city college doesn’t have forensics so I guess I’m moving.”
Both are sad
After Jeff’s burst of emotion that opens the door, Jeff stops Annie at the end of the episode
He says “I’m tired of pretending not to have emotions. I don’t want us to be casual, we saved the school so you can stay” and she’s like “but abed already found a one bedroom”
He’s like “move in with me.” She agrees.
Then in season 6, they just are together but it’s only shown in a few throwaway lines an episode
She can even still leave him for her job in the finale if they want it to be sad, but I’d prefer if in their last scene together, he’s like “I’ve never left Colorado but I’ve always wanted to travel, can I come with you?”
Because I hated that Jeff never got to go anywhere in his life
I think this way would lead to minimal changes, like max one subplot would need changing and like one minute’s worth of scenes for every episode I mentioned.
In conclusion:
hook up in season 4 Christmas ep; get outed in the polygraph episode; make it official in season 5 finale

My Good Omens headcanon - some thoughts on the possible endings
1. Please don't make them human I really, really don't want to see them having their grand finale by becoming humans. That's the whole point. Heaven and hell are equally corrupt and need free thinking angels and demons.
And Aziraphale and Crowley love humanity but they don't love the idea of BEING human.
Aziraphale and Crowley like to be an angel and a demon who love each other and love earth and humanity and earthly pleasures and who just love to be an angel and a demon, with their immortal lives, getting to have lots of fun through the ages as humanity develops and changes and comes up with new things for them to enjoy. Both of them have showed us time and time again that they delight in being immortal and being able to make miracles and all that. And, like Crowley says, no dying! It's not on!
This exactly how I want them to end: Aziraphale as an angel, Crowley as a demon. And they get to live happily as an angel and a demon who love each other and earth and humanity etc.
I don't want Crowley to be an angel again and I DEFINITELY don't want them to become human. That would be a cliché and very out of character for both Aziraphale and Crowley, at least the way I see it. Their big character development arc should be that of acceptance of oneself and the other, so a change in their nature would undermine their character development.
2. Make the queer happy please
The way I see it, in my headcanon, by the end of the story Aziraphale and Crowley are overtly a couple (and yes I want them to kiss and I want Aziraphale to take the initiative and I want them to ACTUALLY kiss in a very HAPPY kiss) (and I want it to be implied that they may have sex or that at least they sleep together - or Crowley sleeps while Aziraphale reads right beside him - this image is a fan favorite for a reason). (I know this is a big debate especially for ace visibility but I have also seen people saying that Anathema and Newt got to be a couple almost instantly and that the main couple of the series possibly never got the same treatment because they're a queer couple and I just keep on asking myself how the series could have been very different if aziracrow were played as a straight cis couple) (yes I know that angels and demons are never cisgender but I meant the way the public perceives it) (anyway I'd love to see a nicely handled scene between Aziraphale and Crowley of them experimenting with their sexuality and getting to discover if they are ace or not without moralisms in a healthy scene).
3. I'd like to see in the end the entire system being put into question and blurring the edges of the "sides". The freethinking angels and demons could end up in an alternative corporate/governmental system based on different values - perhaps independent agents, perhaps a democracy?... Maybe Gabriel and Beelzebub would come back for this. Or not. I don't know. I love Jon hamm's portrayal of Gabriel. It's priceless. Please let Jon hamm be in season 3 somehow: flashbacks or whatever.
4. There should DEFINITELY be a suggestion box in the end.
5. The cottage would be cute as long as Aziraphale keeps the bookshop as well. They can have a lovely getaway cottage to spend some time here and there. But, as Crowley says, Aziraphale can't leave the bookshop.
6. I'm still wondering about the whole "book of life" thing. It needs to be important in s3. It can't just be a threat to move the plot of s2 forwards. It needs to make a difference in s3 (or at the very least to be the narrative ticking bomb in s3). If it's already been used, maybe someone important has been erased in the past. Maybe the book of life will be used against someone in s3 and it will create a new timeline and the characters will find out and try to reverse things. But I really don't like this kind of plot device - if the book of life has already been used by an antagonist in season 2 and we don't know it yet, it would imply that everything we have seen so far doesn't have value, because it was manipulated by a mastermind evil puppeteer.

BlackStar ~Theater Starless translation
Season 1 – Episode 9 (Last Chapter):
Common Chapter 1-5 - Open the gates to darkness.
(Kei, Menou, Rindou, Maica, Yakou, Sinju)
Kei: --This is the outline of the next performance.
Kei: As mentioned earlier, we are considering establishing a new Team C.
Kei: Consider that this performance period will also serve as a test performance for Team C.
Maica: Something like off-Broadway?
Kei: It's safe to say so. Have you heard about Qu being transferred to C?
Rindou: We also understand that. The starting lineup has already been assigned.
Kei: Fair enough.
Yakou: So, is that "Borderline" guy really going to do it?
Yakou: Isn't it too arrogant to fire someone if they don't earn the predetermined points?
Sinju: Well that's true......but Starless is like that.
Menou: It's because it's an unreasonable store to begin with. It can't be helped.
Maica: It's just a matter of crossing the borderline.
Yakou: ..........Are you all convinved?
Sinju: As for the dismissal, Haseyama has said it before.
Sinju: Kei was able to negotiate a deal that saved us from being fired.
Menou: So, have you decided who will do what yet? We're doing a show for another team.
Menou: Different members than usual, a different show than usual. I'm looking forward to it.
Maica: You don't have enough screws as usual.
Menou: Fufufu, I mean it's seems like fun.
Kei: The allocation to each program has been roughly determined.
Kei: However, Heath says he won't sing, so the singer is still being adjusted.
Rindou: Does that mean there is one spot open for Singer? Then- is it okay if I run as a candidate?
Kei: I don't mind. I was considering having you sing.
Yakou: Well, if it's that easy to decide, please consider me as a candidate too.
Sinju: If Yakou is a candidate, I'd be fine too, right, Kei?
Menou: Wow, everyone is so proactive.
Maica: Won't Menou piggyback on it?
Menou: I'm not a pattern person. I want to act, so I'll leave the singing to you.
Kei: .....Hmm. Now, let's use Rindou as a singer.
Yakou: Wasn't that a quick decision? I didn't even try.
Kei: You just rode on Rindou's backside [T/N - Kei is implying that he only put himself forward because Rindou did]. There is no need to consider those who are not prepared to come forward.
Yakou: ......Kuh.
Kei: You have no objection either, Sinju.
Sinju: Ah, yeah, I'm sure I took advantage of it. It's okay, for me.
Maica: But, isn't there an option for Kei to sing?
Kei: Team K's singer is Yoshino. It's not me.
Menou: Indeed, I see. In that case, Kei is divided.
Kei: Of course.
Maica: Also, Yoshino and Akira have been around for a long time, so they perform most of the programs.
Maica: Isn't it too advantageous for the both of them?
Kei: That's right. I admit that there are advantages and disadvantages. So are you going to get off the stage?
Maica: Don't joke around. Who will be there? I'll show you that I can win.
Sinju: It will be me! Because I want to stay in Starless.
Menou: Well, I guess I'll have to try anyway. Hehe, I'm looking forward to it.
Yakou: I don't think I'll enjoy something like this exam.
Sinju: So, should you stop?
Yakou: ......I'll do it. I'm sure I can do it. Can only one person escape?
Kei: As long as I am on stage, I won't allow anyone to pollute it. Go in with that determination.
Menou: ----Rindou? What's wrong? You've not spoken.
Rindou: Oh.....that. Well, Kei.
Rindou: All the other teams already know this story.
Kei: Ah. I've explained it all. And?
Rindou: No....I was just wondering how the other teams reacted.
Kei: I had some trouble with Team B, but not much else.
Rindou: Team W too?
Kei: Ah, it seems like Kokuyou is "going to ride". Is that okay?
Rindou: I understand. Thank you very much.
Rindou: Team B also decided to "take a ride". We cannot back down here.
To be continued.....

Tumblr is annoying...this was supposed to be under a read more and it is glitching...
So I've mentioned stuff in real life is cutting into my internet time. Sometimes I'll write comments in my notes app that I don't end up posting.
I've decided to compile them into one large part to get them out of there and hopefully move on from those feelings. The first bunch were written in April pre-hiatus and the second batch in May after 7x07.
The purpose is to let the thoughts go free so I can feel peace etc. Most of them probably don't apply any longer anyway.
Feel free to ignore this…if you do want to respond they're numbered.
(I actually have no idea if I posted or commented any of these thoughts before…just went through my notes app and copied and pasted the 911 ramblings I did, so sorry if you've seen one before)
1. I don't get this fandom...I see comments saying they haven't made Buddie cracks since season 2, they are so respectful of buddie's relationship, long-form storytelling, etc.
Then comments about how the way Buddie fans act will make them not reward Buddie fans with Buddie and that fans don't deserve it.
This implies they don't respect Buddie or long-form storytelling and they're willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.
2. I don't know why people say they'd prefer Buck and Eddie stay friends rather than get together in an unsatisfying way.
I didn't like the way Booth and Bones got together and ended up stopping the show. However I'm still glad to know that they are canon and in love. That's out there in the universe even if I never finished watching their story.
It would have been so upsetting if Bones and Booth hadn't gotten together at all.
Unsatisfying is a matter of perspective.
3. I'm very curious to know if all the tuck fics that feature just Buck/Tommy (no pining Buck or eventual buddie) imply that Buck and Tommy are a for now couple or if they're thinking of marriage and spending their lives together.
I won't read any of them though 😂
4. "Tommy can't replace you. No one can. You're the most important person in the world to be, besides Christopher."
#Buddie wish list
(This was presumably something I wrote when we thought the Tommy Eddie friendship was making Buck worry Tommy would replace him. And I had made a note to add it to my buddie wish list tag. As an aside, Tumblr is useless - I know I've had that tag or even mentioned "wish" on my blog before but when I search the posts don't appear
Anyway..... Now I feel I need reassurance in the opposite direction. Buck needs to make it clear that Christopher and Eddie are his priority over Tommy. This is why I don't understand people who want Buck and Tommy to get married, or write fics where Buck thinks Tommy is the one. Just make it clear you don't care about Christopher&Buck and Eddie&Buck and don't care if their relationship changes. If you're writing him to have the thought about Tommy being the one and he wants to marry him and he's the most important person to him, then he can't have the same thoughts he used to have about Christopher and Eddie.
If Christopher and Tommy are both injured in the hospital asking for him, Buck should choose Christopher.)
I’ve seen posts trying to argue the opposite and how they can all be his priorities and how Tommy loves that Buck loves Chris and Eddie, but they’re not good arguments
5. This is what I need Tim to say if he wants to convince me to drop Buddie:
"I know we said we'd leave it open and we like how you interpret Buck and Eddie, but I don't see them in a romantic sense and they never will be. These two men can love each other completely but have no desire to have sex with each other. Even if one or both is queer, I am writing them to love each other in a way that is not sexual or romantic. You may think they complete each other in a romantic sense, but I think it's in a platonic, familial sense. You can't control who you have that sexual spark with."
If he's not willing to say it, then that means buddie canon to me.
If buddie didn't go canon, then he baited fans. Relationship baiting is extremely annoying and I can't stand showrunners who act like that because they must not respect their fans enough. They care more about money than integrity.
I'd also be willing to accept this:
“I'm really sorry for stringing you all along, but buddie is not something I'll be writing. I know I put in so many parallels to the other canon couples, and that was a dumb thing for me to do when I never intended to make them a canon couple. I realize now that there were other ways I could have written their friendship not to come across as romantic at times. I'm owning that mistake, and moving forward I will not try to bait you into thinking buddie will ever be canon.”
6. Did they ever address Tommy talking about sleeping with grateful victims??
No one is willing to talk about it.
I've even tried using tumblr's search function to find posts about it but there is nothing (I’m not sure if people aren't talking about it or if tumblr's search function is that bad)
7. I always thought they'd be able to make Buck and Eddie get together while still feeling like Buck and Eddie, but something is off
The gifs I saw of 7x04 seemed OOC
8. I know we're getting buddie eventually, not from anything we've seen in the episode (because I haven't seen it - this was about 7x04), but because of Tim's quote in this interview:
Minear much preferred having Buck go through this experience with someone the audience already knew, rather than having to “invent some bi character for Buck to have an awakening with.” Fortunately for Minear, when he finally got them together, “they had chemistry!”
And it isn’t lost on Minear that Buck’s dynamic with Tommy echoes the one he once had with Eddie, calling it “almost a reprise of the dynamic from [Eddie]’s first episode where Buck was super jealous of the new guy. Now he’s jealous for a different reason.”
Tim would not be dumb enough to talk about the bucktommy situation echoing what happened with Eddie if it wouldn't eventually lead to Eddie.
If he wanted bucktommy to be a valid relationship on its own, he wouldn't piggyback off what happened with buddie and expect it to work.
9. Why did they have to make Buck and Eddie into pod people? There were better ways to do this storyline than turning thirty something year old men into fanfic teenagers
10. Honestly at this point with some of the sexual posts I'm seeing about bucktommy, I'm expecting those former buddie stans to say that Tommy will be the best sex Buck ever has and that Eddie will be a step down that he'll have to settle for just because he loves him, but he'll always dream of Tommy and hope for a threesome to have a proper dicking down again because Eddie can't find his prostate 🙄
I have no idea why fandom is gassing up an average white dude, none at all
[adding on: I ended up blocking tags during the hiatus so I haven’t seen anything since then and I’m not sure if this is still the case]
11.I know people are enthusiastic about Buck's first kiss with a man, but imagine if it were Eddie - wouldn't it be a disappointing kiss after all this time? It would be like the feeling after that pirate show kiss
12. Buck, who screams out "Eddie! Eddie! Eddie!" every time Eddie gets hurt or is in danger - that Buck, injuring Eddie and having no reaction? Illogical.
13. People can like the bi Buck storyline without needing to become a bucktommy shipper. People offline do it all the time: watch a show and like it and not become shippers.
14. Buck has been turning down Eddie’s invitations to basketball for a while??? What?? Since when?? Why does that not sound like Buck?
And then the show expects me to believe he has a crush on Tommy so he finally goes when it's not just Eddie but Tommy will be there?
(Apparently some thought it was because he wanted Eddie's attention but someone pointed out he stared at Tommy the whole time?)
Why are they writing Buck to be so annoying just to reach bi Buck?
It feels like they're changing Buck and Eddie's friendship and even minimizing it
15. What are the best buddie scenes and why are they
The shooting
The will
Buck falling asleep on Eddie’s couch
Some of 6x13
16. What were the buddie friendship moments in 7x04 since everyone liked them so much? It seems there were Buck/Tommy and Eddie/Tommy moments but I haven't heard anything good about buddie
I just heard about the 7x05 scene about Buck wanting to help Eddie, but no one was talking about that when the episode aired. So I feel like there were possibly other moments no one decided to talk about.
17. In what characterization of Eddie would he have Marisol watch Christopher twice in one week to hang out with Tommy instead, then ask Buck for a third time? I really don't get it.
18. Kristen introduced Marisol
Tim implied it wasn't a good job since he knew nothing about her
Tim wants this storyline to get to know her since he didn't know her
Yet Kristen had the nun idea?
He threw Kristen under the bus for not introducing her then decides to take her bad ideas?
19. I believe buddie is happening because I like believing the best in people. Based on various comments Tim has made and the way so many scenes have been written (jumping ship, wanting to help, etc.), he would either have to be dumb or cruel if it doesn't lead to buddie. Dumb if all of those insinuations and winks and nudges mean nothing, and cruel if he is doing them deliberately but it doesn't lead to buddie.
Why would I want to think that he is dumb or cruel?
-> within a day of writing this, I ended up seeing a post that basically said that Tim is cruel enough to do this… I don't understand why people want to think that Tim is gleefully cackling at stringing fans along 🤷🏻‍♀️
20. It's so interesting how both sides think the other is fetishizing:
Bucktommy fans think the other side just cares about a noncanon ship and should support the actual queer couple
Buddie fans think the other side just wants Buck to kiss a man, any man, and don't care who it is
21. So... Controversial opinion... Buck fans don't seem to understand Eddie, Eddie fans don't seem to understand Buck, and buddie fans don't understand either
I say this as a self-owning buddie fan: there are so many things I feel are out of character, but they happen on the show, so the show clearly thinks they're in character, meaning I don't understand their characterization
Those were the initial batch of thoughts I had in April. Here are some May thoughts:
22. Hey, so at least Buck and Eddie are both cheaters 🤷‍♀️
23. Anti-buddies were right but got the reason all wrong... they said Buck and Eddie won't get together because they're both in other relationships and wouldn't cheat....
But Eddie ended up cheating anyway 🤷‍♀️
I assume the Bommy fans are ecstatic whereas the Medisol/Eddisol and Eddie fans are upset
In a way I guess this is more proof for buddie though, since Eddie can't end up with either Marisol or Kim after what happened. Both those relationships are tainted so he needs a new one
24. I know it's supposed to be about the journey as well as the destination, but the journey to Buddie has been horrible so far.
People who said "Just enjoy the journey on the way to buddie" - how is this Eddie storyline enjoyable??
I really hope the payoff is worth it and not fizzle out like so many other storylines on this show
25.If buddie doesn't happen, how do you fumble such an incredible story? It's honestly like a train wreck.
26. I’m confused about what bommy fans think about the name for Tommy/Thomas. Earlier they thought it was Thomas and how it was all red string of fate because of the old man Thomas telling Buck not to find it but to make it. Then fans were happy the plaque said Tommy. What made people want Thomas and now want Tommy? It seems very inconsistent. And then out loud they said his name was actually Thomas?
27. The way people talk about Tim really makes me think buddie will happen because people seem to think he cares more about his reputation and what people think of him. He wouldn't want to be known as the showrunner who fumbled this.
28. Eddie may have been the misdirection/bait and switch (whatever people are calling it) for 7x04, but Tommy will end up being the misdirection on the eventual Buck/Eddie relationship

Note
The main reason a lot of people hate the season is because the trailers set up a different vibe than what we got. Which is true for the most part, all of the trailers had content from the first 3 eps, which did leave the rest of the season in the dark. But the other 2 season's trailers were kind of the same.
People didn't know what to expect aside from the fact that Din and Grogu are gonna be venturing around together. A looottt of people really wanted more of just the two of them. Nothing really showing that Bo was gonna have such a huge role in the season, and she's not the most liked character to begin with.
Plus, the story is a bit more iffy than the past 2 seasons. It's Star Wars so it's never gonna be 100% great dialogue or story-telling (Guns for Hire is a big example of that, I know its your fav, I'm sorry). At the end of the season, there were still a few major questions or instances that were left unspoken about and completely ignored/forgotten about. I've seen some complain about the pacing of each episode, but like you said, the other 2 seasons have Din doing literally nothing but side missions.
I remember a bunch of hate on 'The Passenger' because it was "filler" but that's one of my favorites simply because of Din and Grogu.
I've also seen people say they'll be happy with "just ANY more Din content" but turn and complain when they get Din content 😭 The fandom was really confusing this season.
Anyways, I enjoyed the season as well but I do understand the gripes people have with it.
Thank you for sharing! I'm gonna dissect some of this and it has nothing to do with you at all; I'm so grateful for you shedding some light on this, because I do try to distance myself from Mandalorian negativity as a whole.
The trailers setting up a different vibe has definitely been happening since the beginning. I mean, season 1 left out Grogu completely, so that left the entirety of the show in the dark going into its premiere. Season 2 didn't have any, and I mean absolutely zero, footage from any episode past Chapter 12. A similar technique was used for season 3 and honestly, I appreciate it, because it keeps surprises! I can see why it would frustrate people, though.
Bo's bigger role this season was something that was implied with an adventure to Mandalore. Anyone who's come to love the planet from the animated series knows that she'd have to be involved in a large way just given her and the planet's history. I also realized it when I saw the end credits of Chapter 17 and Katee's name was under "starring" with Pedro's rather than "co-starring." Again, though, I can see why it was disarming for others.
I personally don't see how the story was "iffy." Key word is "personally!" If anything, to me, it felt more cohesive than season 2 and in some ways more than season 1. Much of the fandom today wasn't around for season 1 when we got Chapters 4, 5, and 6 in succession and fans were complaining about each one being fillers and having absolutely no advancement of the story. Season 2 just had the same thing every episode for the first 5 episodes, with Din asking for information and being asked to help with something before gaining that information.
Season 3 had a lot less of that; Instead, the mystery of Mandalore remained throughout the season, as well as the question of who's going to lead and how are they going to retake the planet. Din had an arc (thinking of himself and his redemption only to becoming a true father and a leader), Bo had an arc (hopeless and unmotivated to the unifying leader of Mandalore), and even Grogu had an arc (reluctant Mandalorian foundling to a confident apprentice). The theme was said by Bo in both seasons 2 and 3: Mandalorians are stronger together. Each episode was a step towards unity; Din on his own, then unifying with Bo, who then unified with Din's covert, who then unified with the remaining Mandalorians to retake their planet. It was a beautiful story to me, honestly.
Now, Guns For Hire? Yeah, I'll admit, it's an outlier. But it's fun, and it still served a purpose. Let's not throw out the last 10 minutes just because of what happened in the first 30. It showed that Din is still a complex character with droid trauma and it had some fun prequel callbacks as well as cameos. It was just a fun time to be had before the excitement and heaviness of the last 2 episodes.
I didn't mean for this to turn into an essay HAHA but again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts on what people have said about this season! At the end of the day, all media is subjective, so I can see why people didn't vibe with this season and I respect it even if I don't really understand it because of my own feelings for it.

Another meta post: Good Omens Season 3 Predictions
Back at you with another post-season 2 essay lol. Here’s a TLDR: Crowley and Aziraphale both had conflicting “run off together” plans in the finale, but running off together isn’t actually what either of them wants. What they actually want is to be together on an Earth that is safe and protected. They have a few options for how to achieve this, but the only one that seems reasonable to me is to use the Book of Life to completely change how Heaven and Hell operate or to overthrow the system altogether. I’m not sure how they’re going to use the Book of Life, but my prediction is that they’re absolutely going to.
If you want to read my whole little theory/essay, hit the keep reading button.
Okay, so upon my many rewatches of season 2 (I think I’m up to 5 now, good lord), it’s become glaringly obvious to me that both Aziraphale and Crowley’s plans to be together are both “running away/let’s run off together” plans, which I don’t think is what either of them actually wants.
Let me explain. So in the conversation with the Metatron, Aziraphale initially says, “But I don’t want to go back to Heaven,” making it clear he knows his place is here on Earth. It’s not until Metatron says, “But you can take Crowley with you” that Aziraphale’s whole face changes and he starts to consider. It’s clear to me that in this scene, he’s thinking, “Oh, this is how Crowley and I can be together and be safe.” It’s his “run off together” plan, although when he talks to Crowley about it, he doesn’t really frame it in that way and instead pretends he just wants to reform Heaven and he can be with Crowley where they can be “good” (implying, unintentionally or not, that Crowley is not already “good”).
And then Crowley has his counter “let’s run off together” plan, which is to do what Gabriel and Beelzebub did and fuck off. But I don’t think this is what Crowley actually wants either. He literally tells Aziraphale during this very argument, “You can’t leave this bookshop.” He knows that their place together is on Earth, he’s perfectly aware of that. Gabriel and Beelzebub didn’t give two shits about Earth; Crowley and Aziraphale do, and that’s the difference, that’s why they can’t just fuck off like Gabe and Beez did. I think Crowley was just in denial about this because he couldn’t see how they could protect Earth anymore, knowing everything that he knows about Heaven (and he knows more than Aziraphale).
Both of them love Earth. Though Crowley tries to pretend he doesn’t, we all know that’s not true. He loves the ducks and the humans and the kids (both the human and goat kind lol), he loves his car and Aziraphale’s bookshop and his plants and human emotions like love. He loves this planet. He doesn’t want to leave it behind.
Crowley and Aziraphale both essentially have the same two goals: 1) they want to be together, in love, as a couple, for all of eternity or for as long as they have with each other; and 2) they want to be together on Earth, preferably where it is safe to do so. They want Earth to be safe.
Neither of their “run off together” plans achieve either of these goals, really. If they go to Heaven, they’re not really safe and they’re not really themselves. If they run off to some other planet or galaxy, they’re not on Earth, which is their beloved place and where they’ve built a life together, and they’re still not safe.
So this leaves them only one option for a future together: find a way to make the Earth safe for both themselves and for all of the humans and animals and creatures they both adore. Not an easy task.
And this leads me to my season 3 predictions because I think they only have four options for how they can achieve this:
1) They stay together on Earth as a team, and they thwart all of Heaven and Hell’s plans for the Second Coming/apocalypse together with no end in sight.
2) They figure out a way to overthrow (or completely change) Heaven and Hell because simple reformation (a la the Aziraphale way) is out of the question at this point, and we all know it. It’s built upon a corrupt system. It’s like capitalism, you can’t “reform” something when it’s built upon a foundation of corruption and lies. Crowley understands this and has understood it for a while; Aziraphale isn’t quite there yet.
3) They become human and decide to just live out their days as normal, mortal people together.
4) Some secret fourth option that I haven’t thought of but Neil Gaiman probably has lol.
The problem with option 1 is that this doesn’t really achieve their goals because they wouldn’t be safe and they’d still constantly be looking over their shoulders and preparing for the worst. Also, the Book of Life still exists, so what would they do about that?
The problem with option 3 is that it also doesn’t achieve their goals because they wouldn’t be able to protect the Earth from Heaven and Hell, so the world would probably end without them to stop it.
So unless Neil comes up with a fourth option, which I have no doubt he could do lol because he is a very good writer, the only reasonable option is #2. And it’s even possible!
Neil spent this whole season continually bringing up the Book of Life, only for it to never be used. So obviously it’s going to be used/a massive plot point next season. It’s like Chekov’s gun; it has to go off, otherwise what was the point? And what does Aziraphale have access to as Supreme Archangel? The Book of Life. I don’t think he’s thinking that way right now; I still think he’s in reform mindset. But once him and Crowley reconcile, Crowley would absolutely think that way. They could use the Book of Life to quite literally rewrite the rules of the game and to make massive changes or to even overthrow the whole system altogether (unless I’m completely misunderstanding the Book of Life, but I really don’t think I am).
To me, it seems like this is the only option they genuinely have open to them that lets them achieve what they both want, and it’s an option that actually hinges on Aziraphale being in Heaven and having access to the materials they need, so it makes that plot point very necessary on more than one level.
I don’t know if they would completely overthrow the system, particularly because this show has always (at least to me) been about finding balance. Crowley and Aziraphale (and humans) represent the shades of gray in between “good” and “evil,” which the show argues are concepts that don’t really exist. Their relationship is about the wonderful and beautiful things that can happen when you find that balance, when you don’t exist in absolutes, when you compromise.
So I think if they completely overthrew the system, they’d upset the ongoing theme of “balance,” just like a war between Heaven and Hell upsets that balance. I feel like Gabriel and Beelzebub’s relationship also foreshadows this theme of “finding balance.” Like imagine a Heaven and Hell that actually compromise with each other and work together the way Crowley & Aziraphale and Gabriel & Beelzebub do instead of constantly fighting for supremacy? A Heaven and Hell that respect each other and maybe even love each other? I think they could totally use the Book of Life in some sort of way to achieve that end, since simple reformation isn’t going to work.
All I know is that the Book of Life is going to be used, and I think it’ll be used by Crowley and Aziraphale.
My other season 3 prediction is that they’ll kiss again, this time with Aziraphale initiating it, so huzzah for us all if I’m right lol.
