Well, I'm tired of Buck's character always having storylines, while with others they start them and never finish them, like in the case of Eddie, or that they are directly reduced to being a married couple and parents, like Madney and Henren. Buck's plot should be linked to Eddie's and they should start with Buddie, we already have Buck's look where he realizes that he was always Eddie and the look of "but he's going to go live in another state for Chris" (well, go with him, you're single, you have no ties of any kind, go with your man, damn it!).

I agree somewhat. Eddie/Ryan does need more focus. I hope he does for the rest of the season.

Hi again! I'm excited too and it's fun to try to guess even though there's barely any info. I think it could go like this:

8x09:

Buck spins out over Eddie and has latched onto something/ someone to distract himself. Tim said the word "relationship" but also agreed Buck's love life will take a backseat for now so it could be that he's trying to force a friendship to replace Eddie.

Maddie gets a mysterious call where the person is in a position where they can't speak so she sends Athena to investigate but no one's there. Josh said "possible" hostage situation and Maddie is almost whispering. Additionally there was supposed to be a storyline in 8x08 where Maddie took a call that sent her on a quest for answers but it got moved to 8x09.

Maddie gets taken from her kitchen and when she wakes up Buck is there/ He was the person who made the 911 call. Tim implied the 118 won't be together at the end of the episode although he could have meant Buck and Chim reacting to Maddie's disappearance. He also said Buck's abandonment issues will be worse at the end of the episode so possibly because no one noticed he was missing.

8x10:

The police station scene with Athena and Bobby and potentially Eddie when Athena says "Something's not right". They're in civilian clothes because Chimney called the police when he came home and Maddie was missing/ He tried to call Buck who also didn't answer. Eddie's in a button-down so he could have come from a call with the realtor.

At some point they track them to the apartment with the rope and blood but still don't know it's Abigail Spencer. The audience doesn't know yet either if they didn't already reveal it in 8x09.

At some point the villain reveals her motivations and hopefully it's not too cheesy like she's Doug's sister.

Buck would never ask Eddie to stay when it comes to Chris. Buck knows Chris comes first and he also loves Chris himself. He may hurt from this and even break him but Buck is selfless enough to let Eddie go if it meant Eddie would be with his son. He would never ask him to chose him over Chris. Ever.

That’s a good thing because it really shows how much Buck loves and cares about Eddie (and Chris) he’s willing to suffer and struggle even more with his abandonment issues as long as Eddie and Chris can be together again. Everyone walks away from him but he’d be letting Eddie go.

You know the saying, if you love someone let them go.

But it won’t be forever, it’ll show the contrast of everyone leaving him but Eddie will always come back.

After binge-watching tiktok theories I believe Buck goes missing and then Maddie gets taken too. I think the best evidences are:

Maddie breathlessly saying "I got his location" in the promo and Athena goes but no one's there.

The lack of Buck in the promo. Comparatively in the Fight or Flight promo Buck was seen freaking out 4 times.

The weirdly cut line like they are trying to hide something possibly because Athena said "Maddie and Buck."

Aisha's birthday video was from 8x09 filming and OS and JLH were the only ones missing which makes me think their makeup/costumes couldn't be spoiled like if they're bloody.

In the birthday video Eddie is in the police station in off-duty clothes and he's wearing white which we all guessed what that means.

Maybe Buck being gone is part 1 and then the Abigail Spencer is evil reveal and Maddie getting taken is the cliffhanger before part 2.

Wow. If that actually comes true I be in my seat (on my couch) watching with baited breath. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see how it really comes to be in canon.

It's all because Gavin no longer has as much freedom to go and record every scene he has in the series, he's a teenager now and that entails a lot more responsibility than when you're a child, speaking of Chris, I think he's being very irrational, very immature on his part, what he's had is a tantrum, I understand that he's hurt, that he wants to hurt his father, I hope that one day he realizes the enormous sacrifice Eddie made his entire life for him, Eddie is 32 years old, he became a father at 19, he doesn't know what it's like to be a free young man, without ties, his entire life has been for Chris, sacrificing his happiness so that his son can be happy, something that his parents don't see either, perfect grandparents but terrible parents who should be supporting their son and not taking Chris away from him.

I think I don't want to see Chris until the end of the season to allow Eddie to continue growing as a free person and seeking his own happiness, everything will be for the good of his son obviously, I don't think he will go to Texas and if he goes it won't be for a long time, he already left his job once, I don't think he will leave it a second time.

Perfectly said anon. I agree. Chris is just hurt right now. They both are. In time they’ll finally have a REAL TALK and say everything they’ve wanted to since IT happened and they’ll mend fences and come back to L.A.

Buck asking Eddie not to go would break my heart. He let Ali and Tommy walk away. When Abby told him she was leaving he said he was excited for her with tears in his eyes. He put on a happy face for Eddie and offered to help look at homes. Asking Eddie to stay would be a big moment but I'm not sure if he'd do it, he understands why Eddie's leaving. Maybe he'll ask if he can come with him.

That would break MY ❤️ in millions of pieces if that happened. I can where you’re coming from anon. I just need these scenes immediately. It’s way too long till March 6th.

Tim didn't say it for sure but he did say Buck's abandonment issues will be deepened by the end of episode 9 so I think Eddie might really leave. Ryan also mentioned a time jump and it would make sense if they jumped over Eddie being in Texas. Also just knowing this show I feel like they won't be able to resist the Abby airport parallel.

I’m not too sure he’ll actually leave. I can imagine Buck fighting Eddie to not go. Maybe that’s the big Buddie fight we all thought was happening.

I also realized that Oliver’s first ever pic that wasn’t himself or a part of the set it’s literally Ryan with the mustache and that bee trap and he posted Ryan 4 times that day and his last post of the season starts with a pic of Ryan and ends in a pic of him with Ryan last and first but his first ever post it’s himself so first and last as well somehow Oliver became Taylor swift whoever thought tho because he literally was annoyed people took his tweets as hints and now he freely does it you just know that man knows they are going canon because such a different behavior than those tweets I also thought it was not on him at the time if people took his tweets as hints he wasn’t very Taylor swift then but now man literally screamed at us you’ll love episode 6 watch episode 6 and everything was 6 even for the running Ryan does with the bee trap he says he gives it a 6 and for that man everything was 6 really he really gave us that hint

I have an inkling that Buddie will be canon by the end of Season 8 or even sooner.

Tbh I believe the theory maybe Eddie can get hurt because we all knew for Tim the fall finale was going to be on episode 10 and Tim actually hints that everything will change in episode 10 for everyone and the Maddie kidnapping is set up on a 2 part episodes and we obviously know she will be back fine or as fine as she can be on episode 10 also Eddie is so leaving in episode 10 but like what if he gets hurt like we all know how much Eddie means to everyone specially Buck but like it did affect even hen even Ravi that Eddie went to dispatch and it’s different if Eddie really ends in a coma or they all think he might not walk again or some shit but also I’m like all episodes have multiple emergencies like in the 3 opener there’s lot of emergencies but most of them have a kid and a single parent and im like will something happen to Chris they already hurt Denny tho and really almost all the calls or at least one in every episode kinda are a kid and a single parent

I also believe in the theory that Oliver hint stuff I also think they lie a lot in interviews for the sake of not spoiling but something both him and Tim said that nobody asked about Buck or Tommy to Tim mostly about Buck being bi and Tim said it wasn’t obviously about Tommy and then he says is not about Eddie either it just his identity and Oliver said something similar and that Eddie’s journey is not about Buck and I was like Eddie’s journey in what exactly cause we all know what Eddie needs to do is go to Texas not live there but literally go also part of me thinks Chris is ok with being back to LA but he wants for his dad to pick him up without him having to say it and like we’re so gonna get a parallel of did you miss me and all the time we are getting a lot of callbacks this season so I’m pretty sure the Chris Eddie like forgiveness scene will have that callback to Eddie begins

Why do they do so many innuendos like the "That's way too much for me to handle" joke when they're implying Eddie's looking at p*rn, Buck saying T and Eddie both enjoy watching half naked men pummel each other, "Since when did you become a master baker?" "Since T dumped me." There's probably so many more ?? Why
