I think Buck's bi arc was too weird:

Eddie starts spending a lot of time with Tommy, and that makes his time with Buck decrease, meaning Eddie does activities with Tommy because they have them in common, something he doesn't have with Buck. We have a jealous Buck because Tommy is stealing Eddie.

Buck and Tommy start their relationship, what boyfriend would let his partner spend so much time with his best friend and not show jealousy or anything? That was deliberately shown to us, Buck and Eddie together but not Buck and Tommy. We had more Buddie scenes than ever.

I think Tommy was really attracted to Eddie, they are both ex-military, they like martial arts and etc, Buck is the consolation prize.

Why didn't they develop BuckTommy? They had time, but they weren't interested because Tommy was only the trigger for Buck to be canon Bi.

Why did they increase the intensity of the Buddie scenes? And the karaoke scene was cut for some reason and I think that's why they didn't show it too, because it's a scene that would change a lot of things and that leads me to think that it could be strong Buddie content, maybe the rumored kiss?

I am totally with you nonny. It was such a weird set of scenes. Especially some Eddie was a part of like 99% of them (except for a few here and there).

I think your onto something with the Karaoke scene being really telling where Tim was taking Buddie… and that’s why he took the scene out. But maybe there was another reason too that he was planning for Buddie in season 7 and yet they got renewed (thank god) earlier than expected, so they had to move things back. But now WE are FINALLY heading in the RIGHT direction to BUDDIE CANON.

i can't believe how much buck's bi arc was about eddie to the point where his coming out scene to maddie was "help i lied to eddie about being bi :( yeah yeah i'm bi but what do i do about eddie" like WHAT

And everybody else thinks it was about T this who time… LOL.

I mean look at what happened after the coming out scene.

Eddie was haunting that relationship (if you can even call it that) at all times.

Ryan has been on set for the same amount of time as the rest, what happens is that he has been filming the El Paso part, and it must be true that they were limited from publishing content about the show on their socials and that is why we have very little information. They are hiding Eddie's storyline because right now it's the main dish on many fronts.

I’m actually glad for the minimal bts videos and pics. I want to go in to the show blind. Not knowing what is going to happen.

I want that NDE of Eddie but not a car accident for example but at his work and with all his friends in angst mode, it's that recurring to a traffic accident is very easy, I also like the idea that it was related even to the supposed kidnapping of Maddie, we really don't know when he goes to El Paso yet, if it will be at the beginning of episode 8x09 or if it will be at the end or in episode 10, but on the other hand I would like it not to be related to the kidnapping and to happen when he has returned to LA because it can bring Chris back but personally I want the drama to continue and not to be resolved in two episodes, the will is a delicate matter that they should deal with well because it is a plot with a lot of potential, yeah, I want hospital drama plus Eddie's parents, and they realize the great family and support their son and grandson have in LA.

In short, I don't know what I want, and I don't know why there are still people who believe that Eddie is leaving when Ryan himself has already given proof that he is not leaving the series and that when he leaves it will be because the show ended. He said he was very comfortable playing Eddie and hinted that still has a lot to tell about his character, or I interpreted it that way.

Oh I definitely want the Will™️ to come back around at some point. However it happens.

Have you seen the theory that "It's not going to be readily apparent that she's been taken" means some will believe Maddie ran away again?

It adds up with O saying there will be tension between characters that don't usually have tension and Buck's abandonment issues in high gear because of Eddie :/

I feel like it might not actually be Maddie who gets kidnapped. They are really putting it out there in the promos that it looks like it’s her. But the editing is wonky. So I bet it’s someone completely different than her that’s the actual target. We’ll find out in a week. I can’t believe I can say that… FINALLY.

At this point Buddie can only be canon, they directed Eddie and Buck's storylines to a situation where the only storyline that makes sense now is Buddie, especially for Buck, and it's a storyline that can very easily tie into Chris's. Eddie has a lot to tell like his upbringing with strict and moralistic parents in a Catholic environment, his past as a decorated military man with the third most important medal for valor, and now a veteran with PTSD, single father of a child with special needs, but especially doubting his sexuality, you don't need to say out loud that you're straight if you don't have doubts… but what does Buck have? A poorly written bi storyline that already served its main function, putting the first step towards Buddie.

It should be remembered that Buddie was going to be canon in Season 5 and would have had the sniper plot as a starting point, but FOX said no, and I think Tarlos was to blame, because they didn't want a male LGBT couple that would have more power or more audience.
