Hands got to the rendering of Mitt'raw'nuruodo's sketches. It was unusual to draw him without the Grand Admiral’s signature hairstyle, but I really wanted to make a strong contrast between his life “before” and “after” starting his service in the navy. Life on his home planet certainly wasn't easy.

“Ugh, this place smells like shit” Chandler pinched her nose. “Are you sure this place is actually haunted or did your boyfriend just make it up to fuck with us?” She raised an eyebrow at Veronica.

The brunette sighed, adjusting her grip on her flashlight. “JD wouldn’t lie about something like this to me,” She said.

“Bullshit,” Chandler replied. “Didn't he once swapped our homework assignments just to see if we'd notice?”

Veronica winced slightly, memories of that day flooding her mind again. “That was one time,” She defended. “And he apologized for it after, didn't he?”

“I still don't fucking like him, Sawyer” Chandler shot back. “And dragging us into this creepy hospital because he claimed it's haunted isn’t really doing him any favors.”

“Can we pleaseeee just get this over with?” Mac hugged herself, teeth chattering. “This place is seriously creeping me out,” She told them.

“It's literally just an old abandoned building, Heather” Duke replied with a roll of her eyes. “We've been through worse,”

“Excuse me? Who died and made you leader?” Chandler asked.

“Do you want to get out here fast or not?” Veronica gave her a look. “Just go with the flow”

“Fine,” Chandler grumbled. “Come on, Duke— let’s find some ghosts or whatever” She dragged the other girl with her by the arm as they left.

“We meet back here in 20 minutes!” Veronica shouted after them, she watched them walk away before grabbing Mac's hand and leading them further down the hallway.

“I hope your boyfriend is just messing around with us,” Mac said. “Because I really can't stand being in this place more than I have to if his words turn out to be true, Veronica”

“We'll see, Mac” Veronica squeezed the other girl's hand reassuringly. “We'll see..” She trailed off.

Part 2. 01

September 24th, 1:42pm

Kim is sitting in the parlour on the 3rd floor of the compound in the early afternoon when Porchay walks in with Porsche.

It’s the first time he has seen Porchay in person since they broke up outside Kim’s apartment complex. It feels like an eternity ago. It also feels like just yesterday.

Kim has been assuming that Porchay avoids him on the odd occasion his father or Tankhun manages to cajole him into visiting. Which makes sense. Even with this tentative bridge they’ve built of memes and, more recently, proper texts, they still haven’t spoken much past general observations, quick exchanges, and almost painful small talk.

Kim still hasn’t explained himself for what happened between them.

Porchay and Porsche are talking about something, but Kim is too laser focused on Porchay’s appearance to take in what they’re saying. He looks good. A little tired and maybe stressed, but good.

His clothes look expensive, his hair is a lighter shade than it used to be, and he’s grown a little taller.

He looks really good.

Porchay and Porsche take a seat on the other side of the room to where Kim is sitting. Porsche hasn’t noticed that Porchay seems a little distracted from their conversation now. He’s clearly noticed Kim’s presence, but he’s pointedly avoiding looking at him.

Kim fiddles with his phone, contemplating.

He doesn’t want to overstep… but he wants Porchay to talk to him in person again, and the next step to that is to maybe find a way for Porchay to not look so uncomfortable in his presence.

Kim glances through the meme folder on his phone, and sends Porchay the first one that catches his eye.

He hears Porchay’s phone ding from across the room and he looks up to watch him retrieve it from his pocket.

Porchay looks down at his phone for a moment, then snorts and quickly covers his face in embarrassment.

It’s cute.

Kim feels light.

Porsche is asking Porchay what he laughed at, but Porchay brushes him off and says something Kim can't hear from where he's sitting.

And then... Porchay glances in Kim’s direction, and smiles at him shyly.

Kim smiles back.
