I would love to design a bunch of Gallifreyan fashion for each Chapter and House it seems so fun#I also wanted to draw a Gallifreyan night!! since I never see any depictions of it even tho the planet should have nights#even if it's a binary system since the orbits would have to be very large for gravitational stability both suns would set at similar times#anyway I'll stop talking lmao 🫡

The first of hopefully a couple fancomics for Hades! I love this game dearly, and I wanted to explore one of the in-game quotes a bit with this. This took me about a month or so of inconsistent work, and I'm pretty happy with it!!

I feel like I need to get more into regency clothing
#it’s not that I’m Not into regency clothing it’s just not my main period#and generally if I’m going to spend money on historical clothing it will be for reenactment stuff#but the thing is regency clothing is objectively more popular and accessible (comparatively)#I mean the truth is that quality historical clothing is almost always handmade and therefore always more expensive#but there’s comparatively More people into regency fashion than late 18th century so there are more options#also this is an observation only I would make but regency clothing is like marginally more socially acceptable to wear in public#idk. I think in general it’s perceived as more ‘fashionable’ than georgian clothing because it appeals more to a modern eye#so while it’s not common it’s comparatively Less Weird idk#sort of makes me sad but I also agree that it is a very universally appealing fashion period#at least in terms of menswear I’m not much of a fan of regency womenswear past the 1790s#but idk I feel like. I want to dress in ways that make me feel happy and confident in my everyday life#and while I’m not Unhappy yeah it is still sort of a dream of mine to effectively have a ‘historybounding wardrobe’#and I feel like regency fashion is the gateway#maybe I’ll make some moves toward that this year#mine

now i did not like Nosferatu (2024) for a variety of reasons. but let me tell you. seeing the purity-centered, pearl clutching, absolute disgust-first opinions dominate negative reviews has me feeling like i watched a different film. "this movie is for deranged sex-perverts" my biggest criticism was that it didn't go far enough! all that for a 2hr 12min movie and it was boring!
#like?? it was so tame! i was so disappointed!#there were some good things#set and costumes were beautiful#and the PRACTICAL EFFECTS (the pigeon in particular was amazing)#but otherwise it was just kind of eh?#i feel there were few attempts at meaningful characterization#and the bits of character that were there felt somewhat inconsistent scene by scene#so when shit hit the fan and terrible things started happening#it was just sort of like “oh. ok” because there. weren't really characters to care about#one of the two women in the main cast (arguably actually) gets killed alongside her children in what is supposed to be a horrifying attack#but neither her or the children have much character#so its just sort of like 'aw darn thats a bummer. anyway'#and ellen. the dialogue she says HINTS towards a woman with complex feelings and a rich inner life#but it is hardly ever elaborated on. she never fully gets to be a character#speaking of dialogue#the dialogue was awful its like 50% of the reason i ended up not liking it#the victorian-speak was actually okay#it was the content of the lines themselves that were just so bad#just deeply corny and heavy-handed#and not in the typical gothic literature fashion of being corny and heavy-handed mind you#but yeah. very much no characters poor dialogue#so nothing felt meaningful or deserved#by the end the feeling was 'well okay i guess but what did we do any of this for?'#oh and the acting was middling#good in some places (loved the scenes at orlok's castle)#ok most of the time#did not like lily rose depp's performance (the freaky shit she can do with her face is impressive though)#or aaron taylor johnson's#willem dafoe as always is willem dafoe#also what is it with robert eggers and not casting poc? 4 for 4 man?

just got a dm abt one of my posts and y'all please don't try and show the hermits (or any minecraft youtuber or content creator for that matter) my posts, i'm uncomfortable with it and don't want any of my posts shown to a cc. if they stumble upon it naturally that's unfortunate but i can live with it since i do maintag a lot (something i REALLY need to stop doing tbh i already know i need to make a tagging system just for my blog that wont clog results) but going out of ur way to show a cc is entirely different and something i am not comfortable with.
no hate to the person at all but even if i wasn't a little silly and weird with it sometimes i wouldn't be comfortable with it, i want my blog to be a purely fandom only space with none of the creators involved <3 please respect this

I do agree, and it's scientifically sound (pretty sure there is data about how people with better social networks live longer and etc) but also....augh..... what about the severe social issues, difficulty to leave the house, physical issues which lead to like zero socialization energy a majority of the time, etc. etc. Social support can be a replacement for structural support, but.. I guess I just wish it didn't have to be. Community is extremely difficult to build, even moreso if you're someone who has issues with social cues or group conversations or even just being around others in the first place. And blah, nuance, of course I'm just complaining or maybe being too negative or maybe misunderstanding, but, I hardly have the energy to brush my hair once every 2 months.. how am I supposed to maintain a wide social network and be active in a Community and Join Groups lol... sometimes it kind of feels like "er.. well if thats my only option then...... ruh roh". It's overwhelming
#Kind of like some post I saw a long time ago talking about how even the meanest shittiest most difficult to get along with#elderly people or whaever still deserve to have some sort of systems in place to support them so they're not just relying on the#grace of relatives or etc. who may not be able to deal with them. Not saying that I'm like mean and cruel or anything#but the fact of the matter is in most social situations either I am compromising or the other person is. Not in like an ~`ouuu im so weirdd#nobody willever understand my quirky swagg hee heee~' way but like a.. Just factually the things that make me happy and comfortable#are often incompatible with people. The way I communicate and process things is different from the way other people do and that#is always a barrier. I cannot have ''easy''' interactions. Even with 'understanding' people there is nearly always a significant#amount of effort. You can't walk into a group of people and then be like ''okay you guys all have to wear#masks and you also cant play music too loud and also we should communicate turns of speaking very clearly so group conversations#arent too stressful. and also i need this and that and we have to do this and that and '' etc. etc. You CAN. And some people will#go along with that. but they will ALWAYS secretly resent you for it. You will be the one person they're relieved to not have to be around.#theyre glad when you dont show up since they can go back to doing things however they want and not masking and all these boring#annoying things. OR you can say none of that and just deal with the loud music and the talking and the unmasked people. but then#YOU'RE compromising. and no matter how nice they are it's exhausting to be around and youre just further alienated#while in the presence of people and uncofmrtoabel the whole time.#Which I'm not saying the only form of community is a group setting specificially but just giving that as an example lol#I just wish there were a better option than ''well learn to socialize normally or just suffer then'' . Which I know is not what people are#saying. I guess I just always feel a bit scared when 'community is the answer'. Since its not like 'oh im just socially anxious and need to#get out of my shell~!' or something thats really that remedy-able. It's like.. my mostly unchangeable physical health issues combined#with the mostly unchangable literal way that my brain processes sensory informationand other things means that interacting with#others in a normal and easy way is incredibly difficult and often exhausting especially to maintain in any longform fashion. So then#when it's like ''the answer to staying safe is to maintain longform social connections!! :3 just reach out!!'' then.. ermm... O_O#also I'm not even one of the cutesy shy emotional hermits that's nervous. I'm the Bad Stereotype emotionless robotic cold seeming#looms in the corner of the room type of thing so people have less pity on you in that way. -_- ANYWAY gghj#I need like.. a designated social representative or something.. When I did work in that bookshop forever ago they gave me a#person who basically was just with me to help communicate with others on my behalf and supervise me and stuff. I need that.. Some#more extraverted person I can latch onto and they can maintain the Social Support Network for me and I can just be their +1 to all#of the Social Things and community. I have helpful skills I can contribute to other people and stuff it's just like.. I cant socialize lol#I cook food or something for you.. then you keep me in contact with Community.. a deal. I’ll emphasize.#in terms of the societal parts of Amore the kingdom kinda flourishes in the arts of all sorts and trade within the kingdom it goes crazay…#they were pretty closed off from the rest of the galaxy though. like their tech and stuff is pretty outdated compared to most of the other-#planets with atleast escape ships and all that fun stuff.#foreshadowing#ANYHOW lovebugs are silly guys I think of them as like weird hedonistic freaks of sorts#they have very big dionysus worshipping energy to them just to give a perspective#and of course they prioritized relationships and the different forms of love#romance actually wasn’t even the big thing that built the kingdom#it was more like a love for community and friends#which is also kinda silly because of the monarchy aspect to Amore and all that#OH ALSO these guys go absolutely crazy with fashion and makeup. gender isn’t a major thing in the kingdom in my eyes#you WILL serve cunt!! /silly#WORLDBUILDING ASIDEEE Val was the prince to the kingdom and was set to be the heir to the throne#the designs are like three different route ideas ive had for Val#the first is just a baseline design so like. pre amore‘s destruction from dominator#the second is like a good ending design of sorts to my ideal lineup for a season three for woy with val continuing to embrace the lovebugs-#history and culture even with Amore gone and a good portion of her people#and the third. is a bit hard to describe because it’s more of an au but it’s just a concept idea I had of Val teaming up with Dom#(it would be short lived like probably a few months max so dw)#and silly note i joked about the idea of val being an ex to peepers BUT I WANNA DEVELOP THAT MORE BEFORE I SHARE.#tap into that this may be cringe but i am free mindset or something slash silly TEEHEE#BUT YEAH Val’s just a silly gal in my heart and soul no matter what. ive missed her a lot i wanna work on fics with him and especially to-#develop more stuff for Amore and the Lovebugs before Dominator’s destruction of the planet#BUT YEAH i wanna Val post more. go into depth for their dynamic with the other characters and all that#I may cook some more stuff with him once I get these stargazing fics all set and whatnot SO WE’LL SEE!#also /nf but if anyone would wanna ask questions about val/amore/lovebugs ask away I’d love to answer any questions! 🥺

Bob wouldn't consider his decor extensive, though he is surprised by the amounts of boxes he's pulled from the garage. Blue and white mixes with red and green, hanukkah and christmas dotting across his space in a way that can only be described as kitschy.
