In this story, Saul Hudson is an ordinary man, living just out of a small town in Washington. Until night, when he goes out. Finds his victims. He's known as slash. He's pretty well known around town, but Saul is not. Constantly on the run, sometimes he doesn't even have to. He disguises himself pretty well, so no one's seen his real face since he only lurks at night. In this story, Guns N' Roses doesn't have a purpose in this really. He lives alone. And has no kids.

She's always home alone due to her mother being out, either partying or sleeping with random men. Her mom had a habit of coming home drunk, Her mom also quite young due to having Luna at a young age. She's 35. Luna had a small job but lost it due to her not being able to go in everyday. All the money she had stored in her room, her mom finds and takes. Leaving Luna at home with hardly anything, just a little food and no money. Luna was a pretty sweet and innocent girl. At her age was quite rare. Never had a boyfriend, rarely many friends. And no father figure growing up, just random one night stands her mother brought home. In her room most nights, cuddling with her teddy bear waiting for it to all be a dream. her mom pulling her out of school during her last year, bumming her out since she lost contact with all her friends. Left with only a bike she rides around on, and that same bike the reason she stumbled upon him.

32: “Yesterday I saw a rock.” “Okay?” “I thought you’d like it. So here.”

Humming to yourself, you were wondering the school grounds, gathering random things out found interesting and carefully put them into your pockets.

“Doing some more foraging?” Bloom laughed softly.

You looked up at her with a smile.

“I have something for you!”

Running over to her, you rummaged through your pockets and you pulled out a bright Orange flower and reached up, tucking it behind her ear.

“Aw thank you (Y/N).” She smiled.

You beamed happily and skipped away again to carry on with what it was you were doing.

And you kept doing that until your pockets couldn’t carry anymore things and then you made your way back to your dorm and into your room.

Setting everything on the desk, you separated them into piles and smiled to yourself as you nodded your head in approval.

“Hey Dowling is looking for you (Y/N)!” Someone called.

“Okay!”

Grabbing a few things from the desk, you put them into your pocket and made your way into the hallways towards the headmistress’ office.

Stepping in, you pulled out a blue flower and handed it over to Aisha who gasped a little.

“Woah it’s so pretty.”

“To cheer you up a bit.” You smiled.

With that you went up to the office and let yourself in, closing the door behind you, you grinned at them both.

“Hello Headmaster Silva, Headmistress Dowling.”

“Hello (Y/N), can we have a chat?” Silva asked.

You nodded and walked over, sitting in the chair he had offered you.

“You’ve not been going to classes.” Farah said.

“I’ve been busy.”

“You’ve been wondering the training grounds, I saw you earlier. What exactly do you do when you wonder?” Silva asked.

“I look for things. Special things.”

They both shared a look and began to explain the importance of you actually attending your classes like you were supposed to.

You weren’t really listening, you were too busy thinking about the small patch of wildflowers you had seen earlier that day.

“Anything to say (Y/N)?” Farah asked.

“Yesterday I saw a rock.”

She furrowed her brows a little in confusion.

“Okay?”

You beamed brightly at her.

“I thought you’d like it. So here.”

Digging through your pockets you held out the small pristine white rock out to her and she reached over taking it.

She examined the rock and you turned to Silva.

“I found something for you too.”

Pulling the final object out of your pocket, you revealed a small stone that resembled a sword and you handed it over to him.

“I have to go, I promised Terra I’d show her some flowers!”

With that, you jumped up and happily bounded away out of the office even though the meeting wasn’t finished.

Both Silva and Farah shared a look but they smiled to one another.

“You really can’t stay mad at them can you?” Silva asked.

“It’s impossible. That teenager has a heart of gold.” Farah smiled.

Both of them admired their little gifts you had given them.

You were supposed to be learning but you were just so bright and happy about everything neither of them had the heart to stop you from doing it.

You were like a ray of a light for everyone during uncertain times just so happy and caring and calm.

You were lost in your own little world most of the time, lost doing your own little thing, but you weren’t really doing anything wrong, so they would let you get away with it for a little while longer

Isn't it funny how bloom, bea and sky have been affected by the adults and their plans/guilt/grief? Rosalind, saul, andreas and farah... even when they had good intentions. They kind of drag the trauma of their generation, war, rosalind and their own mistakes, creating ripples that reach these kids. It's made me wonder if rosalind was shaped by similar circumstances and people. How did she grow up? Who was her mentor, her leader if she ever followed anyone? Bea, bloom and sky had other people decide their fate from the moment they were babies, had the truth hidden from them, and parental/mentor figures that sometimes, even though they loved them, still failed to see them as people instead of soldiers or assets.

Yes!!! I'd add Stella to this, and then Terra, Sam and Musa if you're feeling generous.

The show really took "Intergenerational trauma" and ran with it, which is why I think is so compelling to watch the "adults" interact with the "kids", much more than keeping the generations apart. Every Luna x Stella scene is multilayered and complex, so are the others.

How much of what Beatrix is spitting at Farah is what she was made to believe, versus how much is how she truly feels, versus how much of it is Andreas' hatred seeping through (if there was any!)? And how little of a difference it makes.

I do think Rosalind was very much of a product of how she was raised, just like the others. Sebastian calls her, and his father, zealots obsessed with an ancient war, and I'd have loved to see an expansion on the world building, on how much the ongoing spat between blood witches and fairies actually affected politics back then, how much of it was tied to the Burned Ones. Were the Blood Witches attacked by B.O too? No? Did fairies think B.O were products of the Blood Witches? Did the Blood Witches think the fairies were, actively, letting them get slaughtered? How much the B.O played out in the massacre of their population? How did this affect how children were raised?

Thanks a lot for the request!!! It's my first request for a Farah/reader fic and that makes it special ❤️. I started writing this as an angsty/comfort but I thought that it would be better if it got a taste of sweetness. Anyway, enjoy! This ended up being mysteriously 2222 words.

First, your dress and eyeliner (your eyeliner is blue):

Change of heart

Farah's head snapped at your direction for what felt like the millionth time that evening.

You were gorgeous.

You were wearing an elegant, pretty, navy blue dress. Your h/c hair was braided like a crown with some glitter on it.

But your makeup was the best thing on you. If Farah was the best at hair styles, you were the queen of makeup.

With blue matching eye liner, a brown lipstick and extra long ( probably fake ) eyelashes, you were smiling and navigating through the party with remarkable ease.

" I know that we have had this conversation again. And again. And again. But she fancies you, you fancy her, so go get her. " Suddenly a man's voice was heard.

Farah was pulled away from her roaming thoughts by her best friend who had been glaring at her while sipping some of his whiskey.

" And for the millionth time, she is too young for me. " Came Farah's irritated response.

Saul raised an eyebrow. " 10 years are not too young. "

Farah gulped some of her champagne. " Make them 15. "

Saul made a dismissive gesture. " What's 10 and what's 15. Age is just a useless number. The girl likes you and you like her back. Stop torturing her - and yourself - and finally get in her pants. "

Farah glanced sharply at him at the mention of your pants. " She was my student. "

Saul smirked at her. " We were soldiers back then, not professors. "

The headmistress sighed shaking her head. " It doesn't matter. I had her in some of my classes. "

Saul prepared to reply but he stopped as nothing he and his fairy's eyes were glued on you.

A man, a tiny businessman, decided to join your conversation with the queen and some other important people by brushing his hand slightly on your waist before standing next to you.

You didn't pay much attention to him, your rank, blood status and reputation were surpassing his for miles.

But Farah boiled. Anger, jealousy and temptation rising in her blood in a crazy and most importantly sudden turmoil.

" Are you alright, Fa ? You seem like you made a mistake. " Saul mocked her and then laughed at the glance she threw at his direction.

" Shut up. " Farah told him off looking daggers at the stupidly courageous businessman.

He must have said something funny because everybody laughed. Including you.

Farah's blood boiled.

The man leaned to you and whispered something in your ear making you flush.

And that was the last straw for Farah.

Farah turned on her heels and rushed outside. Out of Alfea's courtyard, out of the party she was supposed to host.

The woman couldn't bare it anymore.

Saul's eyes grew wide as he watched Farah run outside.

Fuck, with Farah gone the party was his responsibility from now on.

The specialist thought about it for a moment.

He then rushed to Ben. " Quickly, it's happening. "

Ben, who was sitting on the back of the party drinking his wine with a tiny Terra asleep in his arms, gave him a confused look. " What's happening ? "

The headmaster sat down next to him. " If we send Y/N to Farah, Farah will probably confess. "

Ben's eyes widened. " Yes. Yes. Let's go fetch her. " He wrapped his hands around the toddler as he stood on his feet.

Both friends walked to your group. 

" Good evening. Hope you are enjoying our humble party. " Saul, the new host, gave everybody especially Luna and except you (of course) a fake smile.

You raised an eyebrow. Where's Farah ?

" It's been lovely, headmaster Silva. May I ask where's the headmistress ? " That same businessman replied faster than Luna who had opened her mouth to do just that.

Luna shot him a reprimanding glance but didn't comment further, instead she refocused on Saul waiting for his answer.

" May I ask you a question. What's your name again ? " Saul frowned at him.

You took a sip from your whiskey. That one would be interesting.

" David Vandin, professor. Excuse me for not introducing myself earlier. " The man next to you made an apologetic gesture.

Saul didn't pay any further attention to him, instead he turned to you.

" Y/N. Could you help me to put Farah to sleep while Saul searched for Sam and Sky ? " Ben asked you.

You didn't hesitate to nod in agreement. " Of course. "

You said goodbye to everyone before you politely excused yourself and left the hall with your two friends.

" What do you want ? " You inquired knowing very well that they lied.

" Farah left earlier than expected. " Ben stated as the three of you turned down an other corridor. 

You were moving toward Ben's quarters to put Terra into sleep.

At the mention of Farah you were fully aware of what's to follow next. " Listen guys, even if I am very very greatful for your help, I'm not sure whether it's worth it or not. "

Saul and Ben both abruptly stopped walking and turned to face you. " I mean... even thought we had a flirt... an intense one... she doesn't want to... ya know. Share something more with me. "

Saul sighed and stepped closer to you. He got hold of both your arms locking eye contact with you. " I know that she hasn't shown to you how much she wants you. But both I and Ben have seen it. "

" Yeah. You are such a good, smart and funny person, Y/N. We would be honored to consider you family. And believe me, we already do that. " Ben added standing next to Saul.

You teared up. " Really ? " You questioned, tears running down your cheeks.

Both men nodded smiling at you and you all shared a hug; careful not to crash Terra who was still sleeping peacefully in her father's arms.

" Thank you so much, guys. " You told them when you pulled apart.

Saul winked at you. " Always here whenever you need us. "

Ben titled his head to the side. " Yes. But right now you must search for Farah. She mustn't be too far. "

And with a last smile and goodnights, you all went your respective ways.

You didn't need much time to find her.

Farah was sat on a bench outside the castle.

Your heart clenched when you saw her figure trembling from both the cold and the tears in her eyes.

You silently sat next to her; surprised that she didn't see or feel you. So, you silently took off your coat and wrapped it around her.

You felt her freeze for a second before turning to look at you.

Farah frowned noticing that you weren't wearing something warmer (like your coat) with such a cold weather.

She tried to pull away to let you wear it because she didn't want you to be cold or catch a cold but you kept it in place.

The older woman sighed knowing that she couldn't go against your argument. You had the power to manipulate air, you could control both your temperature and the temperature of the air around you.

Farah had no choice but to nod and agree with you.

After having contact with your warm skin did Farah realize that she had still been trembling due to the cold air.

Finding both warmth and comfort in your arms, the headmistress of the most prominent magical academy in the six Realms snuggled closer.

However, for your great surprise, Farah just sighed.

You stared at her for a second before suddenly standing up.

Farah's eyes snapped open and the still sat woman looked up at you.

Farah glared at you with hurt and confusion.

You crossed your hands in front of your chest. " First of all, that's serious. You can't half sleep or whatever when we have this conversation. Secondly, I don't want you to due from cold, so we are going inside. "

Farah nodded. You were right. Of course, it was serious. It was your lives you were talking about.

Still sleepy and cold, Farah raised her hand for you to take it. You did it and helped her up.

The woman gave you a smile as you led her inside. You turned through a corridor with her office as destination but Farah stopped you.

The headmistress who was slowly recovering inquired. " Would feel comfortable if we had this conversation in my chambers ? I feel like it would be more private there. "

Your eyes shone.

Farah Dowling. The woman you fancied. Was openly inviting you to her quarters.

Farah saw that glimmer of hope in your eyes.

Oh god, she felt the same.

However, after what happened today, Farah had made her decision.

She couldn't stand watching you being approached by other people.

She wanted to claim you.

She wanted to take you in her arms and keep you there for the rest of eternity.

You let Farah lead you in her private rooms. Farah who was becoming more energetic and alerted with the passage of each second.

Farah's eyes shone greyish blue for a second when the two of you reached a wooden door.

The door opened and Farah motioned you to enter.

You did as told but before you get a glimpse of how Farah's quarters looked like, the said woman pinned you on the door; closing it in the process.

The woman's eyes shone again resulting on the sound of the door locking behind you.

Farah's hands held yours above your head while her mouth lowered to leave some kisses on your neck.

You sighed finally getting to feel her lips on your skin.

Farah's head stayed there, resting on your shoulder as the woman contemplated.

" What's wrong ? " You snapped unable to keep your composure.

Farah stepped back allowing you your space. Oh no.

She didn't bring you here only to kick you out saying that she changed her mind, did she ?

" Listen, the age gap we share is bigger than the normal ones. " The headmistress started.

You sighed in defeat and leaned against the door. You didn't like what was to follow.

" But you are a fellow adult and mature enough to comprehend the importance of a serious relationship. So, I would like to take you on a date. " Farah inhaled and waited for your response.

Your eyes widened.

Did she just back down from sex to ask you out ?

Well, even though you wouldn't mind starting your relationship with sex, you found it really sweet of her.

" Yes, Farah, of course. But why so suddenly this change of heart ? Why now ? " You questioned narrowing your eyes to show her your confusion.

" Was it because of that idiot ? " You cut her off realizing that she had probably been jealous.

Farah's eyes widened.

Farah placed her hands on her hips. She was burning. " No. You. Are. Not. "

" Yes. I. Am. " You paused after each word to piss her off.

She rolled her eyes in defeat giving you permission to do whatever you wanted, like she always had.

" You can stay here for the night, if you'd like. " Farah suggested.

You smirked. " If that's the question in which you demand my permission, then I shall inform your majesty that my legs will always be open for her magnitude. " 

She closed her eyes.

You would be the death of her.

in the middle of the night i woke up to see you posting about how brilliant the silrah community is even if there are some weirdos in the fandom and i just wanted to echo that. I'm not a huge connoisseur of media, I've only seriously written for 5ish fandoms, but nothing in my experience compares to how supportive Silrah fans are for each other. it's QUALITY support, too, not just "please write more!" or "part 2!" It's thoughtful engagement, long comments, reblogging, hyping each other up, literally everything you could ask for in a fandom. Thanks for being part of that 💕

(accidentally deleted that post because I wanted to edit and I didn't repost it sorry lol but for context someone -not for the first time- made unprovoked rude comments on one of my silrah posts on insta and titkok and it just made me once again appreciate how much I love the fate adults tumblr community for being respectful and generally encouraging each other's headcanons <3)

But yes I absolutely, 100% agree with you. I have been part of so many fandoms, but none of them will ever be like the silrah fandom. Not only the fact that I've made some amazing and talented friends because of it, but it's honestly just so peaceful and I have seen nothing but respect for people's different headcanons and ideas for the characters.

The ftws adults fandom in general is just my comfort space and I just love it so much. And, like you said, it's such an engaging community as well, like people like to discuss what you've written and they are always so supportive it's so refreshing. In addition to being able to talk about silrah for hours, I could also talk about the fandom for hours cause it's just amazing 🫂💞

what if the teacher reader who is very close to Farah and Saul gets attacked by a burned one and they find her, much like the group did with Saul? - @casserole-from-dads-asserole 💜

You were supposed to be on guard, watching the burned one, but you couldn’t remember what happened.

You woke up on the floor, and when you check the building the creature was gone, and you slowly stood up.

You tried to head back to the school, to tell them the creature had gotten loose, but you weren’t fast enough, it found you.

You could barely walk, and each step felt like pure fire burning through your veins as you tried to make your way back, but you couldn’t.

You couldn’t handle the pain, tears streaming down your face, you held your side, blood trickling through your fingers as you stepped into the road, dropping to your knees.

Fumbling through your pockets, you clicked on the first contact you could find and sent your location to them, hoping they would understand.

You stuffed your phone away, and crawled to the other side, resting against the wall.

Farah was in the middle of teacher when her phone went off.

Walking back to the front her class, she picked up the phone and looked at the message in confusion.

Then she sent it to Saul, and turned around.

“Class dismissed.”

She briskly walked away back to her office, and the Specialist headmaster came running up to her.

“They found a burned one not far from the house Luna was holding it. They’re chasing it now.”

“The location..” Farah whispered.

They both shared a look and before the broke out in a sprint.

The pain was blinding, you didn’t know what to do, you didn’t know what you could do.

You were dying, and you couldn’t stop it, maybe the blood loss would beat the infection.

Resting your head on the wall, you stared into the forest ahead, your hand resting on the hilt of your sword ready.

Hearing a car pull up, you titled your head towards it and pointed your sword at them.

“Hey, it’s okay.” Farah said.

She walked over and pushed your sword away, the looked at you and looked to another.

“We need to get her back, now.” Saul said.

“I’ll start the car.”

Farah jogged away while Saul put your sword away, and he gathered your in his arms, looking down at you.

“Just hold on.” He said softly.

It was all a blur from you getting in the car to you behind taken to the green house before you passed out.

Farah and Saul stood waiting to hear what the verdict was.

“The infection has spread quickly.”

“How long?” Saul asked.

“Even if we try to hold off the infection? Maybe a few days tops.”

Saul grabbed his sword and stormed out of the green house and Farah knew what he was doing, and she wasn’t going to stop him.

He was the best chance, if he joined the search team they’d have a better chance at killing it.

So she walked over to where you were laid at sat in front of you, holding your hand in hers.

“We’ll fix this..” she whispered.

You were unconscious, you had lost a lot of blood, you were exhausted and dying.

She regretted sending you to watch the burned one, if she hasn’t you wouldn’t be here, like this.

You wouldn’t be dying.

It was her own fault and she knew it, she knew she was to blame for this.

And she couldn’t help but blame herself as she looked at your pale and sickly form.

Saul was blaming himself too, he should have been there with you, to watch your back but you convinced him you would be okay.

He should have went.

He should have ignored your reassurance it would be fine and gone with you.

He was going to fix it, he was going to make it right. He would find the burned one and he would kill it, he’d kill every single one if he had too.

Saul was not going to let you die, especially not like this
