I understand the USamerican's commitment to imperial units, but could y'all have consistent paper aspect ratios? You can do an A3, A4, A5 type system using imperial units. Is that too much to ask for??

Ignore all the circles that are fractions of something. They're dumb and there's no reason for them to be on the chart. When you're converting from kilometers to meters, you don't go through three eighths of a kilometer first.

So now you have 5 units of measurement. You'll notice that, with the exception of teaspoons, everything is in powers of 2. The reason it's handy is because you can eyeball a half, which means you can eyeball everything else as well. You can fold a paper into quarters or cut a pie into eight, but you aren't splitting a pizza evenly between 10 people without breaking out a protractor.

(Teaspoons are the odd one out because England. Some snob decided that there was a Correct Way To Make Tea, and his special spoon became a standardized unit. It's like if the 70's had given birth to the unit of length "one line of cocaine")

I,for the life of me, cannot tell you how much I weight in kg or how tall I am in meters, but I grew up in Ontario with the metric system and use it every day at work.
