Lonnie Johnson rose from rural poverty in Alabama to become a NASA scientist, however, he is far better known for his invention of the super-soaker.

every so often i think about the "neve's outfit uses the colour teal, snakes, and the lotus symbol, to reference abolitionism in Hindu Culture (exactly the same as india ofc!!! they're interchangeable!!) trust me, i read A Primer online 🥰" post, floating around ominously through dragon age tumblr with like 400 notes, all completely uncritical of the Absolute Misinformation. and i become the ben affleck smoking meme.
i'm not going to say anything about it, bc it is functionally not a huge deal, i have done my time on "getting called slurs online" bit years ago and i'm very into quietly blocking people now, but ohhh jeez. folks. you have GOT to read a wikipedia article before taking these things as fact, especially when it is coming from someone who openly declares themselves to be not a part of the culture that they're describing with such confidence.
please do not accept any random shit like that into your worldview without checking first. in this case, i'm only this steamed bc it goes beyond mild inaccuracy, over the line into malicious ignorance and whitewashing of fascist symbols. lmao. 💀

I think tsukasa is a normie sorry. He does not know memes or internet trends he’s too busy scouring the internet for bootleg theatre productions and practicing facial expressions in the mirror. Guy who could tell you everything you need to know about some obscure actor/play from 100 years ago but does not know a single modern celebrity if they’re not involved in acting. He’s adding new poses to his vast repertoire he is not making banger posts online. “Based? Based on what?” Type of guy.

I accidentally stumbled upon the wikipedia page for DC writer Alvin Schwartz, and it's so wild. He wrote Superman and Batman comics in the 40s and 50s, left and became an Ad executive. Then he moved to Canada and became a documentarian. And the wildest thing: in his autobiography, he apparently drops the bombshell that is believes superman is real. A tulpa; a fictional character so admired and beloved that he came to life due to belief in him (or something like that). I think it then said he claimed to have met Superman in real life. But he stayed up in Canada after he moved here, which is really cool to me. And his beliefs are just fascinating.

Anyways, the only two I checked happened to be approaching 17^2 and 17^3 lol

the hyperfixation's at the stage where i spent all night plotting out a (mostly blank) family tree that spans over centuries. includes death dates, placing everything within somewhat reasonable historical eras, doing the age math, and straightening out the generations in accordance with the timeline.
