"kuna please slash these for me" you hold out some onions and garlic in front of him with your best smile.

the man only grumbles "my cursed technique isn't to cut through your measly vegetables brat."

your shoulders slump in defeat and a soft pout forms on your lips. upon seeing it, sukuna almost goes back on his word. it's not that hard to slice and dice some veggies after all, right? true but he wouldn't be the king of curses without some kind of leverage first.

"you know i hate cutting these up" you mumble underneath your breath and sukuna internally melts but he's not about to give in just yet.

"do not ask me to do such worthless tasks with a technique capable of killing the world if i deem fit." he looms at you, amused to see your reaction.

"your domain is literally a kitchen though..."

"what?"

you giggle and run for your life, ironically, towards the kitchen but it's all futile because even before you could actually step into the room, you're wrapped, no trapped in his arms.

"what did you say, brat?" he stares down at you with narrowed eyes but you don't miss the faint smile that graces his features.

"i said, please cut up the veggies for me my lord" and that was the killing point, sukuna folds. he rolls his eyes and huffs in faux annoyance only earning a giggle from you.

he lets you go, albeit reluctantly and asks where the hell those onion and garlic are. you skip happily to bring them to him.

"that shit i do for you..." sukuna stares at you as a swift invisible slash mince the vegetables to perfection. he thinks your wide eyed gaze marvelling at the sight is worth so much more than the prestige of his own cursed technique.

She leaned back, sipping her wine, her eyes never leaving yours. "Good. I like seeing you happy." There was a pause, then her eyes lit up as she sat up and reached under the table for something. "I have something for you."

From beneath the table, she produced a sleek, velvet box and slid it towards you. Your heart skipped a beat as you opened it to reveal a stunning necklace, the diamonds catching the light and sparkling brilliantly.

"Claire, this is... it's beautiful," you breathed, fingers brushing over the jewels.

"Only the best for you," she said softly, standing up and moving behind you. Her hands were gentle as she fastened the necklace around your neck, her breath warm against your skin. "Just a token to remember who you belong to."

"I could never forget," you murmured, leaning back into her embrace. She kissed your neck, her lips leaving a trail of fire wherever they touched.

"You mean more to me than you know," she whispered, and you could tell she meant it. "And I intend to show you every day."

In moments like this, you realized that being with Claire was about more than the luxuries she provided you. It was about the connection, the way she made you feel seen and valued in a world that often overlooked you. With Claire, you were cherished, adored, and, above all, loved.

Who’s cutting onions? (scott miller x reader)

you were preparing food for a big dinner party you were going to be hosting. scott had walked in, seen the state of the kitchen and laughed. luckily he quickly stepped in to help you.

“can you take the trash out when you’re done with that, babe?” you asked, searching for a vegetable peeler in the drawer.

“sure doll” he said quietly.

you looked over at him, but his face was turned away. he was still gripping a knife with a pile of diced onion on the chopping board in front of him.

“you’re doing a good job!” you exclaim, going closer and touching his muscled arm.

he grunted in acknowledgement. you reached up your hand and turned his face around, not liking when you didn’t get a verbal response.

you let out a slight gasp in surprise.

he was crying.

”scott! does it sting a lot?” you asked genuinely.

he wiped his watery eyes with the back of his hand. “i’m fine.”

“are you sure?” you laughed. he tried to glare at you through his tears, but hissed in pain.

“i’m not laughing at you, you big baby. why don’t you let me take over?” you took the knife from his hand.

scott was silent for a second, before muttering “thank you” and going to take the trash out.

~ The Trickster Cat ~ Compelling, Enigmatic, Condescending ~

I said a bit ago that I had a Kooza/Cats crossover in mind and even if it was cursed I would draw it anyways, and here it is now, surprisingly uncursed, or at least, surprisingly satisfactory! I'll have to do some dance poses sooner or later but I'm happy with this as a start :3

I tried to keep the design true to both sources of inspiration. Some thoughts on the design under the cut:

There are some elements of the Trickster's design that translate pretty well to stage!Cats costumes, namely the smooth-limb effect of the Trickster's extra-long sleeves and flared pant legs compared with the Cats arm/legwarmers. It's something I really like about the traditional Cats costumes (and a big part of why Cats 2019's designs don't work)* and something I REALLY like about the Trickster's outfits, so it's great for me.

*For further expansion on the subject, @missing-sock-misto has a great breakdown of the Cats costumes here. The relevant part is this:

They help shape the limbs and invoke the feeling of fluff. Human limbs taper, especially at the joints: wrists, elbows, knees, ankles. The arm and leg warmers help cover this, because they’re thick, making them more like cat limbs, which are functionally tubes.

It's one of the first elements I noticed when I first watched the Cats stage show, and when started interrogating myself as to why I liked the designs so much, I realized its importance in "evoking felinity", as azerairis and missing-sock put it. There are a lot of Cats adaptations that, for some godsforsaken reason, get rid of the arm and leg warmers, and it's almost always a mistake. We're trying to make them look like cute cats, not like painted humans.

For the Trickster, why they have long sleeves and flared pant legs may not be as obvious, but they do still serve a visual purpose. They make the Trickster appear that much more ethereal and otherworldly. Everything about them is smooth and continuous - legs flowing into feet, stripes swirling uninterrupted across their body, movement lithe and serpentine - and that makes them seem inhuman, especially when put in contrast with the stick-like, stumbling, uncertain Innocent.

Other more minor elements also translate pretty well. For instance, the Trickster's makeup is already very exaggerated, as is their "hairline" (hat...line?), in a way that doesn't look out of place in Cats. They have stripes on their face, monochrome eyes, and the :3 kitty mouth. The stripes on their body were easy to translate as well. Honestly I didn't have to think over it as much as I expected LOL Except for the wig. Don't ask me how that works. I do think this design is maybe...too simplistic? Like I maybe could've incorporated some of the suit elements of their costume, cuz the Trickster does look kind of odd without their tie. But I wasn't going to give them a collar because pfffftbl lmao could you imagine. Maybe they could have something Skimbleshanks-esque for a top with some formality to it, though I'm not sure putting human clothes on a cat version of an unknowable trickster god person makes sense either LOL

Imagine where Derek has an immigrant father and for the longest time he’d always pronounce certain words wrong cause that’s how his dad would say it. So instead of pizza he’d say piquza, sandwich is sangwich. It’s just little things here and there cause he eventually learned how to say it, but sometimes he slips up and stiles loves to tease him about it. “Passaport, you need a new passaport?” And Derek just rolls his eyes.

The pack would tease him but quickly learnt not to when Stiles glared at them. You are only allowed to say Derek’s mispronounciations if you say them with love.
