Imagine Stiles and Derek are talking all the way to the bathroom where Derek asks “Are you going to stay and watch me shower?” Stiles turns and leaves. Derek starts to undress when suddenly Stiles reappears with a chair and takes a seat. Derek looks confused and asks, “What are you doing?” Stiles, completly nonchalantly, replies “Watching.”

Coach grading Eli’s papers and thinking it sounds familiar and pulls out one of stiles old essays and sees that it’s eerily similar. So he calls him in and asks him to explain. And Eli says that stiles helped him out. Coach asks him how he knows stiles and Eli tells him that’s his dad. Coach is putting in his two weeks cause he doesn’t think he can deal with another stilinski in his class.

Coach: "How do you know Stilinski?"

Eli: "He's my dad."

Coach: "That explains so much."

Imagine a rogue alpha wanted to turn Stiles and Derek was hurt trying to protect Stiles. He manages to kill the alpha then turns to look at Stiles, who is uninjured thanks to Derek's arrival and subsequent fight with the other wolf. After assuring himself that Stiles is okay, an injured, pained Derek passes out. When he wakes up, he's clean, healed, wearing different clothes, and lying in a bed, smelling the sweet, calming salve Deaton sometimes uses for faster healing. He realizes Stiles took care of him in his unconscious state, cleaning his wounds, placing the salve on the worst injuries, and then dressing them until they healed. He doesn't quite know what to do with that. It isn't what they do. They save each other, but they don't stick around to care for and clean the other up. What does it mean that Stiles stayed to take care of him? Is it guilt? Or is it something more? Something neither of them have had the courage to acknowledge... until now.

We really need to talk about the fact the stiles was prepared to drown to keep Derek alive.

He was treading water for two hours with Derek weight on him and only when his muscles started to give up did he try and hang onto the diving board. If Scott didn’t get there in time both stiles and Derek would have drown.

Also they couldn’t have been completely silent the entire time. Do you think as they both felt stiles weaken that they’d have to come to grips with the idea of dying. Do you think how Derek was paralyzed in the arms of a human (he doesn’t trust humans) and spent the entire time thinking “well this is the moment he’s going to let me go and I drown”; and how shocked he must of been when stiles refused to let him go. I know that stiles was definitely thinking about his dad. I wonder when the moment was that they realized they might die in that pool. The final moments before they both went under when stiles is trying so hard to keep them both alive. The way that stiles talks about drowning after this incident.

I really feel like we don’t talk about this enough.

Imagine Rafael coming into the office to see a very confused FBI agent, staring into oblivion with a look on his face that’s a mix of horror, shock and utter confusion.

He hesitantly asks the agent what’s wrong and he says, with all the seriousness in the world, “I think Stilinski is a psychopath.”

Rafe tries his hardest not to laugh and ask why the agent thinks that.

“I got a report on a mysterious death and I noticed the last name was Hale. I asked Stilinski ‘Isn’t that your husband’s last name?’ and he goes ‘Yeah, it is’. So I ask him if he knows anyone by the name of Peter Hale, and he said, ‘Yeah, he’s Derek’s uncle. What’s he done now?’” The guy takes a moment to gather himself. “I said that I was sorry to tell him that Peter was dead.”

Rafe bites his lip to stop himself from laughing.

“And Stilinski…” The guy looks terrified. “He laughed. He laughed and said ‘If only’.”

“Right. I’ll talk to Stilinski. In the meantime, I’ll take this case off your hands.”

A moment later, Rafe then finds Stiles in the hallway and sees Stiles angrily hang up the phone.

“Still alive?” Rafe calls out to him, guessing what has him upset.

“He’s still alive!” Stiles says livid, snatching Peter’s case file that Rafe holds out to him as he angrily stomps back to his desk, muttering something about Peter being a pain in the ass.

I love these gifs so much. Every time I see them I'm reminded of how good Dylan was in this episode. Well, every episode really, but especially this one. Stiles was so close to the breaking point here, and it's all right there to see on his face.

Imagine if Derek was still in BH at this time and Stiles showed up at the loft after his fight with Scott, soaking wet and completely heartbroken over his best friend's refusal to believe him. Guilty over causing yet another death, however much in self-defense it may have been. How Derek would take one look at him and just be helpless to do anything but get him a towel, clean clothes, and offer him a place to sleep--and talk. How he'd text the Sheriff that Stiles was okay and staying at his place after a fight with Scott. How Derek would watch over Stiles in his sleep, restless and uncertain about what to do about Theo and his manipulations. How he wants to help Stiles, be his friend, but also knows there are things he hasn't told Stiles, feelings he hasn't shared, and it's all so damn complicated in his head.

Things are too chaotic to admit to what Derek wants, and until they settle, he feels like he's flying blind with his heart... and with Stiles and what he wants with him. From him. He knows it isn't fair. That Stiles deserves to know someone cares more than he thinks, but how can he tell him without risking the very thing he's come to hold so dear.

Derek tosses and turns and tries to remind himself that staying on his couch is for the best. He tries to pretend he doesn't know Stiles isn't quite asleep. Or that he can't feel the ache for more on the air, or the sense the raw need pulsing beneath his skin.

Stiles can't sleep. He can feel Derek watching him. Feel his concern for him. He knows he only has to say something, reach out and ask for what he wants, what he needs, but he's afraid of what might happen if he does. He's afraid Derek might say no, and even more afraid he could say yes.

If Derek said yes, if he agreed to hold him, support him, what would happen once morning came? Would they talk about it or would they brush it under the rug and chalk it up to a single night of comfort? If he were more brave, he'd go for it. But he isn't. So he can't. He knows he can't. So he tosses and turns and tries to tell himself not to call out to Derek, not to beg him to come to bed and hug him close.

And around and around they go, wanting but unable to speak the words to get what they both need.

Imagine stiles thinking he’s just good at manifesting things.

Like he doesn’t want to go to class so he wishes class was canceled so then there’s bad weather, when there shouldn’t be, or the fire alarm breaks and keeps going off. Or the teacher had to cancel class for like a meeting.

He’d say that he needs to get groceries and someone would accidentally deliver food to his door and let him keep it and it’s his exact order too.

He’d go thrifting and find all kinds of cool clothes and vintage stuff he wanted.

He’s late and he’s hoping all the lights are green and there’s no traffic and instead of getting there 30 mins late he’s on time.

Like if he buys a mystery figurine he’d say I hope it’s …(which ever one he wants) and he gets it and it keeps happening if he has a bunch of them.

But it’s actually all part of his spark and anytime he wishes or manifests anything his spark is making it happen.

The reason no one asks him out is because he thinks no one wants to ask him out and is accidentally wishing it, and then…

Okay Stiles has super sensitive skin, like if something even lightly grazes him it leaves a red mark. Derek LOVES it, it doesn't hurt Stiles and he gets to satiate his wolfy hind-brain, it's a win win.

But here's the thing. This is a tattoo artist Stiles AU.

And one day Derek notices a new tattoo that basically takes up Stiles' entire arm. He asks and Stiles plays coy and eventually Stiles shows him the new tattoo which is... A bunch of squiggles?

Flashback to Stiles in his studio late at night trying to get down all of the lines before they fade because Derek draws patterns of his skin without realizing and they're both IN LOVE and crazy about each other so of course Stiles tattoos Derek's mindless scribbles.
