also can we talk about the contrast between coffinshipping and chainshipping rq. because they're both codependent but Like. in different fonts. chainshipping is almost. very weird to be a show only iwtv fan because my fav is unambiguously louis so i have like. veryyy little interest in either the movies or the books because book!louis seems to be a hugemassive cunt who owned slaves. but also i cannot READ any of the fanfiction or half the fan theories because it’s all RIDDLED with elements from the book canon that will inevitably be brought up in the show/with reference to characters and character backstories i haven’t been introduced to yet which means i’m essentially balancing how deeply and passionately i want to see intelligent character analysis and fantastic fanworks people are making with how much of the next season i can stand being spoiled for me

hmm.. according to some of the posts im seeing describing the teaser that was shown they finally made robotnik fat in the next movie... on one hand i hate skinny eggman but on the other hand i hate the idea of them making him gain weight as a sign hes getting worse . why couldnt they just make him fat from the start ..... weird decisions being made here
#at least im assuming the weight gain is supposed to be a sign hes getting worse or part of his transformation into eggman or whatever#i vaguely remember them saying before that they wanted to have robotnik gradually transition into game eggman#and have him wear a fat suit eventually at one point#but idk for sure if thats the actual reason or if that was refelcted in the teaser#maybe it wont be that bad maybe they will just have him gain weight without poking fun at it or portraying it as a bad thing#but idk. my hopes arent very high .because the sonic franchise has a history of not being normal about fat people#they should have just hired a fat actor to play him all the way back in the first movie eggman has alwyas been fat you cowards

I mean, I like Daigo and Y3 but it's undeniable that a lot of the reason of MineDai being small is cuz Mine, Daigo and Y3 are generally unliked? Not like hated but like just not liked down upon the bigger side of the fandom. Add to that that the yaoi girlies, like us, are just like a fraction of the fandom... well, not exactly big shit to have.

the other day I was talking to an older coworker of mine who has several grandkids and said "you've probably heard of five nights at Freddy's, right? since you have young grandkids." and she's like "no what's that?" so I told her about it and she was like "OH ABSOLUTELY NOT. id never let young kids play that kind of stuff, that's too scary and violent!"
she gave me a ride home and guess what she had in her backseat that her grandson had left in there. this thing
#nerd alert#the context was i was talking about willys wonderland bc we were talking about horror movies#and she was SO APPALLED that little kids are out there playing a game about. evil murder animatronics that jump out and scare you#and im like yeah its weird man. theres a whole child horror genre now. its kinda crazy#i think its normal tho tbh like. it was very common when i was growing up for kids to sneak and try to watch horror movies#that were definitely not appropriate for them to be viewing#my stepbrother let my little brother watch childs play when he was like 8 and he had nightmares about chucky for MONTHS#im pretty sure i knew some kids in my elementary school classes that watched saw not long after it came out on VHS or whatever#we were out there singing about violently murdering barney at like 7 years of old. kids are weird!#but its still weirder now that these franchises are being marketed specifically TO children. like thats a little strange. to me

great now im thinking about sa2 again. it always circles back to this
#specifically thinking about eggman and tails' conversation at the very end. that shit is so insane i NEED more stuff like that#there is something about sa2's story that has never been replicated exactly again. and i think a part of that is just how much#the end of everything there seemed to affect just about everyone involved.#sonic and rouge were both saddened by shadow's death. and from the way eggman talks about it in shadow the hedgehog when admitting#that shadow isnt actually an android. it seems like he was also kind of shaken up from it. even tho of course most of it was his fault#like sa2's end just had this feeling of being So crazy and serious and a huge threat. theres been other times that the whole planet was#at risk of being destroyed. but i think what separates it and makes it feel so much more impactful is the aftermath#like not only did everyone including eggman have to team up to stop this threat. which already ups the stakes#but afterwards. that brief moment of peace. im constantly thinking about that ending cutscene#everything was so serious and impactful that after it was all over. they couldnt just go back to normal. everyone involved had to just.#take a moment#the fact that eggman just stands there. and speaks very genuinely to TAILS of all people. about his grandfather and how he idolized#him as a boy. i cant recall any other scene in the whole franchise where something like that happens. where for a brief moment#they arent fighting and eggman just. chills there with them. and speaks to them as if they aren't heroes and villain#they've had other alliances sure. but nothing like this where they just. coexist.#ive always been so obsessed with it. god#serena.txt

just had a dream about a legend of Zelda game that centers around a player Link who for some reason has to travel through time to try to enlist aid from all these different incarnations of Link and Zelda, except the only Links and Zeldas u encounter r absolute dissasters.
the first other Link that u find is this jaded veteran Link who lives in a modern fantasy world that's basically identical to the real world except there's still zora and magic and shit. he's already defeated like three different big bads and he didn't even get a pension out of it. he's unemployed, he's clinically depressed, and most importantly he's a gym bro. like you meet him in a gym and learn that he spends most of his time working out and trying to get people to spar with him. the gym staff have blown past being grateful to him for saving the world, through the phase where they were annoyed, and are now extremely concerned about him.
then the first zelda u meet has done that thing where she takes on an alter ego for idk shits and giggles, but her alter ego is this crazy die-hard yiga clan warrior. it is genuinely not clear whether she's trying to infiltrate the clan to defeat them or if she actually believes this stuff. in order to enlist her help u have to defeat her in a boss fight, and even after she allies with you she doesn't drop the bit. sometimes she'll do that magical outfit change thing and look like a generic princess again but as soon as she doesn't need to it's straight back into cultist ninja mode. the dream didn't reveal this information to me so I can't decide if it would be funnier if she still acts like a yiga cultist in princess mode or not. either way she and gym bro link would be besties.
#tbh like most of the dream was this sweet into cutscene about unfunny plot and the other chunk centered on talking to the owner of the gym#who is incredibly concerned about the hero of hylias health and well being#and is trying to get u the player to leave him alone#she was a gerudo she was very nice#but it was bizarrely lore heavy for a dream about a franchise that im honestly only a casual fan of#i guess all those youtube lets plays and timeline theory videos i watched when i was like 13 really soaked into my subconscious#legend of zelda#im thinking that there should be a Ganon in this storyline too who's just a completely normal guy#hes not evil hes not even a political figure hes just some guy#his most important function in the team is to be the voice of reason

i want to make it extremely clear that when i say idw sonic haters are annoying im not talking about people who simply dont like idw sonic or think that some storylines could have been handled better or dont care for some of the characters. i am specifically talking about people who hate idw sonic and are super aggressive about it and constantly complaining about it and throwing huge tantrums over small things like song lyrics being used in the dialogue or the characters making funny expressions or silvers eyes being drawn too rounded or amy being strong. or saying disgusting things about the writers and artists or making fun of people for liking idw sonic and going on random idw sonic posts and writing a long ass rant about how much you hate the comic. basically its ok to not like idw sonic just be normal about it please. if you hate the comics That much why are you constantly posting about them
