If I’m being honest, Levi doesn’t strike me as a very creative person. He seems more of a STEM sort of guy if we think of him in a modern au, so he doesn’t pay much mind to the arts as a field. 

That’s not to say he isn’t supportive of your creative endeavors of course. You know when parents have no idea how a sport you play works but they still passionately cheer at your games regardless? Yeah, that’s Levi with your art, writing, etc. It’s all impressive to him even if you don’t think so and he’ll make sure you know that. 

“I love this poem you wrote. You could be famous if you took this up professionally,” he’d say even if there was like a single sentence on the page. 

Would be the type to send you anything art or writing related he gets on his fyp like “yup, she’s definitely gonna love this/find it helpful”. 

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think Levi is actually a film buff. There, I said it. Something about him strikes me as movie lover. He would be the type to drop a quote from some obscure movie from the 50s with a straight face in the most serious tone ever which makes it even funnier. 

So, when you two have some free time, he loves to watch things with you while cuddling on the couch. he’s the type to read the captions before the characters actually say them and it just spoils the scene for him, and then he’d sulk as if it’s your fault, but it’s cute. 

When you two are watching horror movies, he’s the type to tsk and mutter under his breath complaining about the costumes or about how if he were there he would’ve totally killed that demon in like two seconds.

And for Olly's Quest for Fame... i feel like one things clear;

He definitely has some childhood trauma going on.

Him being sensitive about the hate comments, causing him to believe what they're saying about him, and doing what they say and getting and causing him to be more obsessed with everything.

I think he might've been bullied as a kid. I said this before but in this world if your a guy who's passion is clothing and fashion or something un-man like, you get called things (cough looking at you insta comments cough). I also feel like he might've not had as much money growing up; like his family was lower middle class at best, so that might be why Olly was so... controlling? Obsessive? About money and fame.

For his craving for fame, money, being recognized; him being bullied (troll comments), money (not having a lot growing up, his parents having trouble with money), and him wanting to be seen. He wants people to know what he's doing, that's he's doing something important something that people love and admire him for. Something I doubt he got as a child.

And for the way he's treating Paisley... it's obvious that he doesn't mean too. He never, ever, EVER will hurt Paisley on purpose, and we all know that. He's just blinded by the thought of finally being seen to realize that Paisley doesnt want to do any of it...

Another thing I was to talk about what he said; "My outfits are my identity!" That's not just something you just say, without any meaning. Designing outfits is his passion, one of the things he's loved all his life, and something thats always been there for him. And if what I said about his childhood is true, he's probably feeling very provoked and insecure about himself now, and he feels like he needs to be better.

Not saying this excuses how he's treating Paisley; Heck, I love love Paisley but she herself has to try and speak up to Olly but she's afraid she's going to lose him. And Olly thinks he's helping Paisley do what she loves, but he's gotten caught up in it with himself and now he can't see what's right in front of him.

On a different note; ZAC. This dude has come a long way from the first episode. He's literally AMAZING. His character development>>>>>>>>>>>> He's being such a good friend to Paisley, and they're friendship is so pure and kind <3 (but it better stay platonic, lego. gimme some friendship that stay friendships!!)

Also Aliya and Liann now know who Ley-La is!! I dunno if this is good or bad-

Olly's talk with Zac and then Aliya, I feel like this proves that he has something internal monsters to deal with but instead is projecting them onto the whole Ley-La thing.

But thats it. I NEEEEEEED Olly to apologize to Paisley and for him to see his mistakes; it better be REALLY good Lego, and it better be one of the BEST character arcs of all time.

LOLLLL yeah ranking is my favourite thing ever ever ever ever ever ever its so fun okay (this is kinda long sorry hahaha) :

winter - this probably isnt a shocker, bc well ^^^ my url😭 literally what does this book NOT have. its 800+ pages, it contains so many perspectives, every single ship, every character dynamic is fully formed, the plot is insane and weaves together so well, the drama, the luna visuals, JACINTER, MISS WINTER HAYLE BLACKBURN.... like......... name a better book.... exactly. winter > everything. this is my go to book to reread and i think that its actually etched into the grooves of my brain. i have 2 copies of this book and they are my prized possessions

fairest - okay this ranking might be controversial, and i hate levana as much as everyone else does(just a disclaimer lol). but I LOVEEEE a character study, specially when said character is a villain. i read fairest after i'd completed all of the main 4 books and it just added so many more layers to the lunar characters (winter, levana, jacin etc), and also introduces us to evret, who is talked about in the main series but as we know he dies before the events of tlc :( but i loved his character and i found this book so interesting, also as a winter girl it was cool to see her parents, and her as a baby / toddler,, and also the og trio winter, jacin and selene / cinder own my WHOLE soul bc they are soooo <33333333333333 this book actually breaks my heart soo bad every time but i still crave rereading it bc its so good

cinder - ahhh when everything was somewhat simple, i like rereading this one to just go back to square one and like. reminisce on how everything begun and look at all of the seeds marissa planted (like that brief mention of winter and the descriptions of jacin aka the blond guard or whatever it was they described him as) . and i just love the kaider of it all of course and idk this one is just so nostalgic to me

scarlet - something about this book just keeps me on edge every time i read it. i literally cannot put it down once i start it and even though i know all of the plot twists and everything now im just constantly hooked. i love the visuals of this book, with the farm in rieux, and futuristic paris, and the fight in the abandoned opera house, soo cool. also i love how well this book in particular ties into little red riding hood because every single time i read the part about michelle actually being ran under glamour, aka the wolf disguised as the grandma like in the og fairytale, i am GAGGED its such a cool way to tie it into the lore of this series. annndddd i feel like i do talk about scarlet on here a lot because of winlet but i do NOT talk about wolf enough so let me just say something: wolf is such an interesting and complex character andi loveeee him and i love how much his personality varies from babygirl to actual killer hahhah

cress - i love this book to death BUTT i feel like some of the desert chapters kinda did drag on a little, especially as ive read this book so many times they're the scenes i tend to skim through (and this was true even BEFORE i became a cresswell hater tbh), but other than that this book is 10/10, i love the farafrah chapters especially, and i loved watching jacin be annoying and also i loved watching the rampion crew start to fill out and become bigger, ALSO this book has that iconic miscommunication scene where thorne and cress reunite with the others but thorne is blind so he didnt know that 'the wolf' cress was talking about was just our wolf (ze'ev) and the chaos of all that and cinder and dr erland and them almost getting arrested and escaping on the rampion / iko was pure chaos ALSOOOO this book had the technical introduction of winter bc you hear her adopting scarlet to save her which is fun so yeah !!! if they took out the cresswell of it all this book would be higher bc theres so much to love (and i mean this literally, this book is SO LONG)

stars above - this feels weird to rank because it isnt one full book, its a set of short stories, and the reason why its down here is because the only ones i consistently go back to are something old something new and the princess and the guard, if those two were full books they would probably be in the number 2 or 3 spot tbh (specially princess and the guard), but the thing is with stars above is that theres just a little too much filler for me,, like thornes chapter is pointless and is not interesting at all, and the little andriod actually is really sweet but i wouldve happily sacrificed that and thornes chapter to get more content with the other short stories, as i feel like they had a lot more to say (i do love cinders cameo in the little andriod tho)

I've always wanted circle of friends , not too big but yea at at least 4 or 3 with whom I can enjoy and do fun stuff 😊 I was very introverted in my old reality and struggled with making friends and when I did made few I had to move back with my parents and we live in such remote area lol. Hardly people here. so, having group of friends that u can enjoy with is what I ve always craved since my childhood . Partying with them , exploring new places with them , trying out new things together I do everything with them . ❤️

1. Waleska Herrera

She's like ytber in my old reality but in targetter one she works at pizza place with me and also does make yt videos too . She have like 100k subs and she sometimes use me as content too 😢 😭 it's so fun spending time with her she's like an extrovert who loves fun and is open to try everything . She's honest and won't hesitate to stand with truth . But also is not mean like she's honest but she's very kind with her words ❤️ . She's also our ultimate wingman too.

2. Kenji

Okay I don't have photo of him since he's like vtuber in my old reality. He's student studying in nearby uni. And he's very similar to waleska they both are fun person to be around tho Kenji is slightly less smart than us. But that's his charm lol ! We play dti and horror games together and he sometimes he purposely leaves Me and Will alone in game . And also always giving Will subtle hints about my crush on him 😢 😭 it's so embarrassed like where is our alpha males solidarity.

So she was my bestie in my old reality but since I moved back to my parents home our relationship is now very distant and it hurts me so much. So In my target reality we live close by and we spend so much time together it's like we are always sticking together. She also works at pizza place .Either she's at my place or I'm her's. I've been doing my best to stay up to date on the boots brainfog fatigue lore for a while and I have two things to say. First, I am so glad the antibiotics are working and helping you and you're able to somewhat pause your symptoms. And second, your story is so terrifying I had no idea anything like this could happen and I hope the saga ends soon with you going back to a normal livable life.

Apologies for the slow reply, it took me a while to come to grips with my story being used as a 'lore' example. Legit i sometimes forget that i have a lot more followers than just the ones who talk to me on a regular / semi regular basis. So thank you to anyone who is quietly watching this painful illness play out and rooting for me <3 i hope it ends up being a happy ending, though my depression right now is being a witch and telling me it wont. As i type right now my eyes are doing the '300 times more effort to focus' thing because i ate dinner an hr ago, and im slowly getting used to putting this much work into something as simple as writing but...gosh this is all exhausting.

I didnt know this could happen either, but i cherish all the friends and strangers who have gone through this or are going through this who immediately reached out to support me. I've met one guy in person who was a casual friend until now, but who is becoming one of the few people i can randomly text depressing symptoms to and just know he at least semi understands. He also promised to take me on his motorcycle the minute i get back into a physically stable condition so i at least have a carrot on a stick at the moment.

I have also had a lot of really really enlightening conversations with my grandma who has MS, and she's told me stuff about her own illness that I don't think she ever would have divulged to me if this hadn't happened. And I now almost understand why. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to complain about a symptom and then have a friend or loved one immediately counter with 'oh, i have that!' and then go into detail about how they handle it when their symptom is obviously fleeting and passing and much less intense. Also, there's certain people in my life who i just cant get to understand how this illness is connected to food. Every time their response is 'I'm sorry you feel bad, let me make you something to eat' and i have given up trying to explain, lol.

I think it's also important for me to note that although my blog has seen a lot of this drama that i shared...the WORST parts of it i have not posted because i simply dont know how to process or talk about it yet. And also most of the worst moments happened while with my friend G, and when I'm at their house I tend to not need social media so much.

The funniest part in all this - it took a month for me to become so terrified of food because of the intense pain/reactions after eating, that I don't miss food at all despite my diet being severely limited. I miss peanut butter, although my reaction to peanut butter is not so bad that i can't eat it sometimes (but not daily like i used to). Strangely enough, I don't miss bread at all, except I do miss the easy convenient calories bread provided so I could run/dance/exercise. There is only one thing I have been craving this entire month....this fucker from 85c:

I have dreams about this guy. I vividly remember the taste and texture and how it felt to bite into one. The joy of snacking on one in the California sun under the arroyo trees. I long to be able to eat it again ;_; But with how little food I've been able to eat, I can't afford to waste calories on anything that isn't packed with nutrition so :( no taro bun.

Im trying to get a friend into horror and wanted to start with scream, it being the first horror movie i watched and it being an all time favorite of mine and i think she really would enjoy it too.

But she says she doesnt like horror (read: never actually gave it a try) and i am struggling with arguments as to why its so good cause i also dont want to spoiler anything so i hoped you could help with that.

Also other movies mildly scary movies with like queer ish undertones would be appreciated. Next up is prob something like ginger snaps/heathers or something so think that way. (I dont actually like jennifers body :( sorry)

If you’re trying to convince your friend to consider horror like - as a genre & open their mind to its value I think it’s good to think about WHY we do love horror & it’s genuine merits because sooo many people are reductive about it when it’s truly a fascinating & diverse genre.

I’d recommend sharing if your friend is open to it - Stephen King’s essay “why we crave horror.” It’s a really nice introductory explanation for how & why horror is important to the human psyche for people who just think “ew” when they think horror.

I would also recommend this great video essay on how & why horror is so valuable. It’s a really good discussion & I think it would help put the topic into perspective for someone who is less open to horror or newer to it.

I hate to say it because I LOVE Scream it is after all my favorite movie of all time BUT…. Well if you want my opinion I don’t think it’s a great FIRST horror movie? Yknow? I mean, Scream’s whole thing is kind of that it’s a horror movie FOR horror fans. It’s a satire of the genre self aware of existing tropes & playing with them & even using horror trivia as a major plot point. I certainly think it’s also just simply a GOOD solid movie that CAN be enjoyed even if you’re not 100% familiar with what it’s satirizing but… well I feel like it’s not going to be fully appreciated as an introduction to the genre it’s discussing in a very intentional meta way you know??? I don’t know.

***edit*** I just reread this & realized Scream was YOUR first horror movie! It was actually one of mine too lol! And I obviously treasure it to this day & so do you so heck what do I know with all my rambling about meta & satire? Maybe it’ll win your friend over too! I just feel like I definitely didn’t fully GET Scream the first time I watched which is why I don’t always recommend it as a FIRST horror movie but since it was yours I can totally get why you’d want to start with that. It’s also of course again just a great movie so there’s that! Edit over***

I would probably recommend something more like Heathers like you said - especially since that’s also dark comedy & romance & a satire of other 80s teen movies that aren’t horror so your friend may vibe more depending on their taste.

Another good introduction would maybe be The Craft since it’s not 100% horror it’s more like a thriller drama & it’s just campy fun so if you like 90s iconic that would be a good one to start with. Of course I support Ginger Snaps & depending what your friend likes I could see it being a good intro because the characters & dialogue are just too fun not to love. I’m going to ignore that you don’t like Jennifer’s Body because that’s an actual crime in this house.

Depending what your friend is into a classic is the original Haunting of Hill House. The 90s remake is also fun enough but the original is a classic to me although i get that old black & white stuff may not be for everyone.

You had mentioned queer undertones…. I want to recommend the Fear Street series because it’s SO good & doesn’t just have queer undertones but the main story is queer & it’s literally SO good & fun & has such great & fresh commentary on witches being the bad guys & the ways women especially gay or different women are/have always been treated & the characters & dialogue & lore & story are SO fun. Now idk if you’ve seen the series yourself - probably if you’re a horror fan - but bear in mind that this series DOES get pretty gory so if your friend is sensitive to that this might be a bad introduction.

Personally, I also like the original Poltergeist as a soft introduction to horror. It's scary but it's not too over the top or anything & it has a good enough story it's like - how can you NOT be drawn in?

Another good one that's just fun is 13 Ghosts. Hey, it's got Matthew Lillard! Also. it's just campy fun that I feel like anyone could enjoy.

I feel like I definitely had more but it's getting to be after midnight & my brain is starting to shut down lol

I hope my rambling & suggestions were in any way helpful or at least food for thought. Good luck getting your friend onboard with the fun of horror, I hope you can get them to consider it!

Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale - A Fan's Journey (with spoilers!)

Ep 1-2

OH MY GOD THIS IS HILARIOUS. It's givinggg 2011-2013 Kdramas in the best way possible. Very well casted I might say, I've watched Pyo Yejin before and I've always loved her in every role I've watched her in so I already expected she was gonna nail this one too but it's my first time watching Lee Jun-young and omggg I LOVE him hahahahaha. He's so gorgeous, and the role fits him so well. Their chemistry is off the charts and it was going so well for the past 2 episodes that I was actually wondering, 'Wait, if they both like each other now, what about the rest of the episodes?' then BAM insert obligatory Kdrama fiancé. Which is hella cliché but the drama IS all about clichés so really it's just living up to it's expectations.

There's a thin line between cringe in a good way and cringe in a bad way and so far, this drama is in the good-o-meter lololol. We'll see tho in the next few episodes and dammit I'm excited. I do love my melo dramas and action packed thriller dramas but really I'm just a girl, I also crave cute, hilarious, weird sht every so often.

Ep 3-4

Can I address their names?? Hahahahaha. Cos Prince Cha min is hilarious and you kinda get it from the get go (Prince Charming = Prince Cha min) but Cinderella is a bit too Korean-ized that you don't get it until you've watched 3 episodes lololol (Just a theory this might be a stretch but Koreans put -nim as a suffix for jobs, titles, or relationship to show respect, ex. harabeonim (grandpa but probably not your own grandpa because adding -nim means that you're not that close), gisanim ("gisa"/driver is the root word, adding -nim is a polite way of saying it and mostly used when you speak directly to the person). So my theory is Cinderella 》 Cinder-nim 》 Cinder-im 》 Shin Jae rim.

Anyway back to the episodes, I looove that line about the reason why Jae rim wanted to marry rich because giiiirl I probably won't do it but I totally get it lolololol. Her ambition was revealed tho and it does not look good esp among the rich. It must've felt soo humiliating, and I can feel her pride slowly ebbing away. The ending WAS a total cliché but I loooove it, can't wait for more lol.

Also, can I just say Cha min's business is sooooo fun. It's exactly the type of business that we think about in our daydreams and when asked the question, "What would you do if you have a lot of money". Cos I'm totally going to build myself a playground for adults to have fun in, adults need it more than kids anyway.

Really happy for Jae rim and her painting, she's sooo good, I also wished she continued her passion, but I have high hopes for the next few episodes.

Ep 5-6

OH MY GOD THEY KISSED AAAAAAAAA. And I gotta say it was marvelous hahahhahaha—not the regular cutesy cutesy kissing scenes we normally see in cutesy cutesy Kdramas. Really just from the kissing scene alone I gotta give ep 5 a standing ovation lololol.

I totally expected Jae rim's visit in Do hong's studio to go horribly wrong but it's nice to be wrong for once hahahaha. We got to see his "weakness" and don't we just love to discover those? Makes the characters more human. Dan-a and Jae rim's face off tho 👀 Our girl totally held her ground with the line, "I had fun too. He's a very good kisser" YOOOOOOOOOO Imma tell you the way I gasped?? I was so gagged???

And the scene AFTER that, the way she bursted out her frustrations on Cha min and him not knowing what to do or what to say or how to make things right because in his point of view, he never meant to be cruel, everything he did was just self-preservation.

Ep 7-8

Hello??? I was so invested on that kiss and you're telling me it was a dreamscape?? Call the authorities, straight to JAIL. But on a more serious note, I love how her doubts and her fears of not being enough was easily eliminated by Cha min, and her voice over about being comforted by this was sooo heartwarming, the butterflies in my stomach won't stop churning!!

The ending was emotional but I gotta say, probably bcs we didn't get to have that many teary eye scenes so far, the scene with Cha min's mom just felt a bit I dunno, I didn't cry that's for sure. But I guess we weren't meant to cry, we were meant to feel for him and comfort him.

Ep 9-10

I gotta tell you about 90% of the reason why I'm watching it is bcs I just gotta see him smile hahahahahahha. Happy ending all around, really cliché so I can see why some people might not like it. But I loooovee clichés, it calms my anxiety and it's sure to be a happy ending, what's not to love?

The thing about this drama tho, is it's very self-aware and doesn't take itself too seriously and I think that's part of the reason why it's so charming (pun intended). 10/10 cutesy ending I got what I came in for and I'm happy about that, satisfied customer here! Hahahahahaha

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ). angst && drama are my specialty; i enjoy ( && even get a craving for ) softer threads as well, but i prefer to keep ns/fw content as subtle mentions, steeped in religious symbolism

plot or memes. both! i find that some basic plotting does help build foundations with OCs && muses who i'm less familiar with, && when i have a sense of direction, i can reply faster; but asks have so much potential! it just takes me longer to set the stage

Okay, so this is defiently not correct, but instead of sleeping, my brain decided to theorize about how Fyodor isn't dead(I don't even like the guy that much lol). This is gonna be really rambly since Im tired but hopefully it's coherent enough and makes sense lol.

He got stabbed by one of the vampires and then blown up in the helicopter. They pulled his arm from the wreckage of it but not his actual body, we all know this yada yada.

So maybe he managed a quick escape right before impact. The arm might be his, or it could just be a fake one made to look like his(I'm feeling really conspiratorial rn I guess🤷‍♀️ anything besides sleeping 😂) whatever, doesn't particularly matter. What does matter though, is that he's in rough shape and would defiently bleed out from that stab wound alone unless he gets medical treatment.

And wouldn't you know it, there happens to be someone with a special ability made just for situations like this. A certain person who was oddly MIA pretty much the whole time shit was going down at the arport with the ADA & hunting dogs. Like, they went out of their way to show us every other member of the ADA was alive and okay, but they didn't show us Yosano.

My drama-craved mind is low-key hoping for some kind of big twist revel that she was working for Fyodor all along(okay, maybe not the WHOLE time) but that doesn't have to be the case(blackmail and other things are possible).

Given her ability to heal people from life threatening injuries, it would kinda just make sense given how badly injured Fyodor is(even if Im completely wrong(and I probably am lol) Im sure he'll probably be back to cause more chaos(or he'll at least continueto haunt the narrative 🤷‍♀️)
