it frankly pisses me off that what is essentially “rapists and abusers should be depicted as monstrous caricatures because humanizing them is inappropriate” is considered a very moral and enlightened position to have on art by so many people. a rapist can feel pain, have moments of vulnerability, be amiable and charming, express remorse and compassion at times, be a victim themselves, and so on in real life. they are capable of doing good things. they can have different sides to them and have individuals in their lives that they are kind to or have a decent relationship with. they will be a human being, and that fact encompasses a lot. conflating that with the claim that they are entitled to and deserve your forgiveness or absolution is an issue. nurturing a mindset that believes they need to be one note and uncomplicated to be a correct and tasteful depiction of a rapist inadvertently falls in line with the logic of “how could they have possibly raped you? they are so normal and kind to me. they did all these good things here and there.” ok that doesn’t change that they are a rapist.

turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else

now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident

As he was pinned to the ground and yelled at in Russian, all Steve could think about was Eddie.

Eddie had snuck a kiss to his cheek earlier when he stopped by to get his usual ice cream. His hand squeezed his hip before Robin had come back to the front with a new container of the strawberry flavor he'd requested.

It was risky, but Steve was getting to a point where he just didn't care anymore.

What did he have to lose really? Especially now, two Russian soldiers almost certainly ready to kill him because they were convinced he knew government secrets that he wouldn't share.

He could hear Robin yelling from the chair in the middle of the room, could feel the anguish in her tone. He couldn't do anything but take the hits, one after another and think about the way Eddie's touch was so soft.

Always so soft, even when they got rough, even when he pinned him to the bed or the wall or the floor.

Steve let his mind drift to the last time Eddie had him pinned against the bed, face down while Eddie fucked into him, kissed his neck, fingers laced with Steve's while he held them against the sheets. It wasn't quite enough to distract from the pain blossoming in his stomach and face from the most recent punches and kicks, but it was enough to get him through it.

The rest of the night was a blur of running, bathroom floors, movie screens, numbness and pain in equal measure.

And then there was Eddie, like an angel from heaven, running up to the ambulance Steve and Robin were forced to sit in while they were monitored.

"Eddie!" Steve giggled. "Robbie, look! You remember Eddie."

Robin, who had been lucky enough to not be concussed on top of the drugs, rolled her eyes and waved at Eddie, who looked about one second away from breaking down.

"Stevie, what the fuck happened?"

"I can't tell you, but I think you should take me home," Steve started to stand up, falling head first into Eddie's chest. "I'm dizzy."

Steve drifted back to thoughts of Eddie holding him, pinning him to his chest tight enough to feel safe.

He just needed to feel safe.

"I got you, sweetheart. You're safe with me."

Alright, finally I could get both parts of this uploaded. So, November 10th is when Fallout 4 released back in 2015, making it 9 whole years old today. I decided I'd try doing some conversions of stuff. These are conversions from the "Modern Domestic" set in the game, you get the two end tables and a chair, plus a loveseat add-on for the chair.

Details:

The loveseat is linked to the chair, and the end small end table is linked to the big, meaning you will need those meshes for the others to work. The end tables and chairs aren't linked in any way, however.

And yes, they're both in end tables, and stand at typical end table height. The two-tile one is cloned from a conversion of an awesims sideboard (to get the slots and all that right) idk where the original download is but I got it here.

The chair has two subsets while the tables have just one.

The cushions on the chair are in the same 28 colors from last time, the woods on both sets are an assortment of 7 natural colors, using color actions by Hafiseazale.

OH I almost forgot to mention, the end tables. They are about half the depth that they are in fo4, these things are massive by default. Like, they're too damn big in fo4 they're as thick as the shoulder span of an X-01, as I found out.

Something that’s always missing whenever people talk about Lyanna and the Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy is that these things should always circle back to Jon Snow. He’s our main character here. Rhaegar and Lyanna, as well as the Kingsguard, are all dead. They were dead before this story began. This tiny section of text is meant to give color to Jon — who is alive, and whose story is currently unfolding. The events at the Tower of Joy, told entirely through Ned’s fever dream for a reason, essentially serve as one thing: fantasy protagonist myth building 101. Three wise men, a legendary magical sword, some of the greatest knights of an era, a dying queen lady, the end of an age, a dead prince, a dead king, and then here comes a soon to be completely orphaned prince whose life hangs on the balance and whose survival depends on the compassion of one lord and his wizard friend. GRRM is literally retelling King Arthur’s backstory through Jon. This whole thing is one giant literary allusion to Uther and Igraine and the boy king Arthur, to Lancelot and his Joyous Guard, to Guinevere, and to tragic romances. It reads as an ode to Arthurian fantasy and is meant to backdrop the main protagonist’s fantastical origins. The Kingsguard are there to play into that. Their presence at the Tower, in that moment, was never about Lyanna; not solely, anyway. Their presence is tied to Rhaegar’s last surviving male child, and the language used suggests that they had chosen their king, for better or worse. Any discussion surrounding the Kingsguard’s presence at the Tower that focuses on anyone but Jon completely misses the point imo.

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.
