just got a dm abt one of my posts and y'all please don't try and show the hermits (or any minecraft youtuber or content creator for that matter) my posts, i'm uncomfortable with it and don't want any of my posts shown to a cc. if they stumble upon it naturally that's unfortunate but i can live with it since i do maintag a lot (something i REALLY need to stop doing tbh i already know i need to make a tagging system just for my blog that wont clog results) but going out of ur way to show a cc is entirely different and something i am not comfortable with.

it is always a little funny to me when people try to make psychologists and psychiatrists out to be the only people ever capable of being able to accurately diagnose mental illnesses and disorders and that their word is law as a way to criticize self diagnosis when like. once i was hospitalized and the psychiatrist there who i had not even known for more than a day tried to diagnose me as bipolar despite me having No history of mania because he.. couldn't really understand why i acted the way i did i guess???

Okay so basically the United States MINT of all people is going to be working with DC to make a line of coins! These coins sadly won't be in circulation (the things I would do to live in a world where I could get Batman coins from the supermarket) as they're collectors coins, but will be releasing over the course of the next 3 years, 2025-2027.

Designs haven't been released yet (the same is true for all 2025 designs) but we know there will be 9 coins in total (3 each year) with the first year featuring (of course!!!) Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

Although we know the first three heroes to be featured, the remaining six have yet to be decided, and it turns out the Mint is putting out a survey on their site to gauge which of a group of culturally significant heroes people want to see most! (link to the form is mentioned in the article above)

The considered group includes: Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, John Stewart GL, Aquaman, Hawkman, Jamie Reyes BB, Robin (Damian?), Cyborg, and Batgirl, of which 6 will be selected.

As someone who does a bit of coin collecting myself (mainly circulation coins like the quarters sets, but I also have a couple proof and collectors coins) I think this is a really cool and interesting idea that showcases the history of the comics medium and these characters and their influence on American culture. Really excited to wait and see what the designs look like for the coins already announced!

so like i want to talk more abt what suicidal means but the problem is "suicidal ideation presents in two general forms, active and passive. the thing most people think of as suicidal is the active version, where the person *actively* desires to be dead and/or is making a plan to get there. the passive form however gets almost no attention in media so many people experiencing it are unaware they are even depressed, much less passively suicidal. some examples: not wanting to experience death but feeling like you wouldn't mind if you didn't wake up tomorrow or just stopped existing; feeling deeply exhausted with just the entire concept of being alive; even feeling like you want to run away, change your name, and start a whole new life; none of these look like suicidal ideation to most people because they don't involve actively doing anything to get from point a to point b, especially the more abstract ones like the start a new life thing - but remember that in order to truly start a whole new life, you have to destroy your current one. it's not suicidal as in wanting to actually DIE die, it's just. wanting something close enough to scratch the itch. but just because you haven't booked the ticket doesn't mean you don't still revisit the 'vacation activities at point b' tab occasionally to daydream, yknow?" is i think very informative and specific, but its also quite long and run on-y so people are v likely to tap out like a third of the way through it, whereas "suicidal doesnt necessarily mean wanting to die" is way shorter and therefore catchier, but is also the kind of nonspecific phrasing that gets you a thousand angry anons about how you said all suicidal people are just pretending they actually want to die or some dumb shit. so it's a fun line to toe

i finished twelfth night. 25 out of 38 shakespeare plays completed.

#after finally reading othello and twelfth night in the past 10 days im not sure which are the most famous plays i still havent read #bc like ive mentioned previously ive always read the plays in arbitrary order. whatever piqued my interest #hence why i read the henry vi plays relatively early on. or some of the more obscure comedies #but lately since i past the halfway mark this year some of the more talked-about ones im like 'geez i should just get to that one already'#not that that makes me enjoy it any less. i think i mentioned that in my post i made while reading othello #i fucking loved othello. that shit was 10/10 although i very much was reading it bc i felt like i had to at that point.#doesnt mean i wouldnt love it. after all i only read shakespeare bc i love shakespeare! not bc theres a gun to my head #its more like i just want to know what everyone's talking about already #tales from diana #i think at this point the most famous one i still havent read is... much ado about nothing? which isnt THAT famous all things considered #but some of you ppl do seem to be awful crazy about it so ill see #i already knew the plot of twelfth night i had just never read the original. now i have #so i kinda already knew how much enjoyment i could get out of it. some! a good amount!#but i found it a quick read and i wasnt THAT excited about it #the next one i want to read is pericles though. ive read 8 shakespeare plays in 2023 but none have been romances!#i do love the romances. the romances are still the only genre where i havent read more than half of them #ive read 2 out of 5. the tempest and the winter's tale... two of my favorites overall #in a way ive kind of been holding myself back from reading more romances bc i needed to check some of my 'required reading' boxes lol

read 100 pages of an actual book in the last few hours which is about 100 more pages than i did in almost a year :)

#guess having to embarrassingly lay in the bathtub for 5 hours cause it’s the only place i can now be alone in #cause i no longer have a room and this house has become a sensory overload hell #and ofc that no one seems to try and understand and after all the progress ive made im getting told im the crazy one again #i seriously need to someone to help me know how the fuck you go abroad #cause let’s face it post concert depression is tough but it’s not the only reason my anxiety goes the fuck up when i come back from a trip #but then oof the guilt of leaving man #it already kills having to share time with each parent and leaving my siblings with That #i am also having a huge ass gender crisis hehe #you think they won’t look me in the eyes cause they saw my old ways coming back or #cause i mumbled im not a fucking girl when my sister said girl calm down 🙃🙃🙃🙃#literally so sick of being so lost in life #i don’t know what i want i should find a new job but i can’t bear the idea nothing appeals to me i don’t want a fucking career #if you read this woosh 🪄 you forget it #x
