ok so I just relistened to Alright(ep23) and I wanna talk about something that I don't think I've seen anyone else talk about even when the ep first came out.(but I'm antisocial so idk)

SO during The Doodler back story bit we find out that when Ron was being drowned it for some reason was invested in Ron's safety(probably because of Stud??)and I think I saw some people misinterpret this scene as The Doodler drowning Willy to protect Ron when in reality it was The Doodler waiting for Willy to kill Ron so it could drag him through the portal and send him away from Willy. Which is fucking wild. It also was then tethered to Willy against it's will because it was planning on being attached to Ron. And considering that Willy got a lot of his power from The Doodler, I have to think this relationship might've been non consensual?? The Doodler doesn't/didn't want Willy. It actively didn't like him and wanted to safe Ron in death. But Willy somehow managed to siphon off power from it and I don't think it would've wanted to give Willy any power or protection.

The point is someone should write an au where Ron goes to the forgotten realms instead of Willy and is a kid warlock with his chaos god best friend

Vil Schoenheit; top model, renowned actor and acclaimed singer. For as long as he could remember he’d been wearing a mask in the eyes of the public. 

Cool, calm and collected. It took years of practice to perfect his persona. 

Extremities were frowned upon so he had to balance his traits. Not too cold, not too warm. Not too approachable, not too lofty. Altogether, he was the spitting image of a perfect celebrity.

Just one glance was enough to tell anybody; that right there is a star.

So why?

The Ramshackle Prefect enters the scene. They were shy and soft-spoken, with a little too much fringe blocking the world’s view of their eyes. Quite pretty eyes at that. Moving on, they slouched while they sat, left crumbs around their mouth and when they did speak, only the crudest vulgarities left their lips.

Vil would never! Ever! Waste his precious time even interacting with a slob like that, much less fall in love with them.

But if there’s anything fate has taught him, it was to never say never.

Vil Schoenheit, the fairest of them all, as many would say, was having a crisis. 

It was hard to describe what he was feeling. A giddiness bubbling up in his stomach that made him start kicking his legs while screaming into his pillow as if he weren’t a superstar but a delicate maiden, followed by a sharp realisation and… Shame. 

It had been a while since the VDC and S.T.Y.X. incidents. He’d gotten much closer to Yuu, the Ramshackle Prefect during that time. He’d long let go of the notion of them being a slob. If anything, they worked much harder than anybody else did. 

Since he had taken them under his wing, it was up to him to bring that inner beauty of theirs up to the surface. To let the whole school marvel at his little spudling in full bloom.

Mascara, maybe some lip gloss. Some blush and by the Sevens, Epel, I need your brush. He was going to make them beautiful.

And beautiful they were. 

He couldn’t explain the slight twinge in his heart as he watched Rook lather praise upon praise on them and noticed the turning heads following them down the hallways.

Then came that fateful day. After weeks of denial and renditions of ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love’ (Rook played the part of the Muses), he’d accepted his feelings, and was ready to put them into action.

He’d seen the way they looked at him. The twinkle in their eyes, the unintentional smile they couldn’t keep down. All symptoms of a disturbance in the heart. He knew it well, he was afflicted with the same illness after all.

So with a carefully penned, scented letter sent over to Ramshackle’s doorstep, he’d collapsed into his bed, eagerly awaiting the next day. He resented Yuu. The way they made him feel. But it was a sweet sort of resentment.

Yuu, a.k.a Ramshackle Prefect a.k.a. Caretaker of Grim a.k.a. Beast Tamer, after making it out of seven overblots by the skin of their teeth, was having a crisis. A love crisis.

It had been a few months since they started dating Vil Schoenheit and so far it was going great. It was the first time Vil had been in a relationship (which surprised them at first but made sense considering his background), but he was a natural. He took the lead and was always trying to better both himself and Yuu. 

Dates were fun and relaxing, full of self-care and spa nights where he’d personally massage the knots out of their weary shoulders and apply face masks onto their skin along with those cucumbers they’d always seen in movies.

“It’s truly a miracle your skin is as healthy as it is, considering you’ve neglected it so much these past few months,” he’d whispered under his breath the first time he did their makeup. They’d caught on to the tinge of envy in his voice and would chuckle at the thought every now and then.

But back to the topic at hand. Vil… Was a vindictive boyfriend. Not to say he would lash out at them or anything but sometimes they wished he would. 

You see, the first and most obvious sign that Vil was mad at Yuu came in the form of silent treatment. 

“Vil, Vil! Look, I got a ninety-eight on my potionology exam! It’s all thanks to you,” Yuu gushed, running up to the man. 

He didn’t reply. Didn’t even turn around to acknowledge them. 

“Vil? …How come you’re wearing your fifteen cm heels today,” they faltered, a little nervousness starting to creep up in their voice. This was yet another sign of Vil’s anger. Even barefoot, the top of Yuu’s head barely reached his shoulder so whenever he wore his heels, they had to crane their head up to a painful degree just to get a look at him. It was a petty move but oddly effective.

The model looked down on them from above, before huffing and strutting away, his heels clicking on the hallway tiling.

I've mentioned vil and yuu being similar before but I haven't really gone into the depths of why this is so significant to me

vil is a really insecure person. in his looks, to a degree, but more poignantly, his personality. I'm almost tempted to compare him to malleus, but in a much different way; vil is adored, yes, but more so as an object than a person, and the person behind his looks is seen as intimidating and mean and cold. he's forced into the role of the villain, both metaphorically and literally, and he resents that. he's implied to have been isolated and othered by his peers when he was a child, which does some MONUMENTAL damage, too.

this is largely projection but, in a way, I see him as someone who is so terrified about being evil that he just... gives up. he does act unfairly cruel and mean sometimes, he does accept the role he was given by his peers (and the adults in his life, which, hoh my god, is a whole other thing). he is treated like a bad person, so he starts believing he's a bad person, and then starts acting on that belief, even though that's not really who he is.

vil is a character who harbors a lot of shame and resentment toward himself. he's always first to blame himself when something is wrong because he takes on so much responsibility being the intimidating, cold, confident leader everyone assumes he is. but, god, is he sad. he's so insecure and so often miserable and he has no outlet because he feel he can't, or doesn't deserve, to be vulnerable. and I think that he sort of hates that about himself, that he feels like that in the first place.

I think people tend to misunderstand his hatred towards neige. he's jealous. like, veritably so, and not just of his looks, but of him as a person. his innocence, his kindness. neige is always the victim and vil is always the villain. vil can't ask for help because that's the role he's been given. he resents neige because neige has a family full of people he can rely on, he's adored, he's allowed to be sad and scared and vil isn't. it's bitter and petty but understandable. I love him

yuu is insecure about their lack of magic. there are a lot of lines that imply they feel worthless and useless to their friends. they're quiet and insecure and unkempt and live in a rotting building but they are still pressured to just accept it.

yuu is expected to be grateful to crowley and nrc. they are expected to adapt. they are expected to be mature, and responsible, and motherly to grim, and caring towards the other students. they're put in this role of the caretaker, and they're forced to accept it, but they have no autonomy. they feel helpless in a lot of ways. they and vil are just... complete opposites but their cores are the same and that's so significant to me.

idk. there's more to be said but I kinda forgot what I was saying lol. I just think yuu and vil are more similar than people give them credit for. and I think vilyuu is so cute and good, especially for vil, because seeing the things you hate about yourself reflected in someone you love just makes them so much better. it's so healing. they're in lovr and im throwing them a summer wedding

possibly military x cop brat, had to step up to raise her siblings and she’s thankful for everything her parents did for them and understands both are traumatized but also has a lot of resentment for the amount of stress and caretaking she did for her parents and her siblings.

really shows with the way she loves simon too. always taking care of him bc it’s the only thing she knows how to do to show someone you love him and it’s exactly what simon thinks he needs, someone to borderline mother him with their affection and caretaking. but he starts to feel almost condescended?? when she won’t let him take care of her. she feels unheard bc she has this feeling, no matter how unjustified, that if she doesn’t do everything herself it won’t get done. only way they know to argue is yelling but after a few really difficult nights they sit down and eventually they start to sort it out

they’re just two traumatized people leaning to love eachother your honor

"How was work today?"

You inquire, chopping the leek on the wooden board before tossing it into the pot. Simon glances over at the dark circles under your eyes, and your hunched stances over the stove before you peer over at him.

"' was fine." He slowly moves closer to you. "Lemme help." He puts his hand over yours and reflexively jerks your hand away from him.

"I'm fine." You practically spit at him. His eyes harden slightly at your reaction. Knowing the past family trauma that you had both been through it was common, but today, Simon's patience is wearing thin.

"You're not fine." He retorts, taking the knife out of your hand. You try yank it back, but he's quicker. "I want to take care of you for once, [name]. Let me. Please."

Simon begging to help you isn't new, but usually, he had given up to avoid confrontation. Today, however, he is not backing down so quickly.

You lip quivers. "If I don't do it—"

"—No one will?" Simon finishes for you. He scoffs, setting the knife down on the counter. You reach for it again and he slides it away further from you. "Tha's a load of horseshit and you know it. 'm not some incompetent fool. I can take care of myself and you."

You avert your gaze to the kitchen tile, letting out a shaky breath as you wipe away the tears pricking at your eyes with the back of your sleeve. "It's all I know how to do." You whisper, hugging yourself. "Ever since Mom and Dad passed..."

You choke on your sobs, and Simon sighs before wrapping his burly arms around you in a comforting hug. His chin rests on the top of your head, and you swallow thickly.

"I know, I know." He rubs your arm. "But we're all grown up now, eh?"

He pulls back to look down at you, and his words make you crack a smile through your tears. "Yeah, we are."

"So stop being so harsh on yourself. Live your life for you, [name]." He stares intently at you, gently jostling you with every word. You nod and rub your eyes again.

"Besides, I know you've got a thing for Johnny and..." He begins, and your cheeks warm at his unexpected words.

He raises his brows at your bashful expression before chuckling.

"I don't!" You protest, crossing your arms, but Simon sees right through you.

"He says he's been dying to tell you—"

"Lalalalala!" You cover your ears with your hands as you run out of the kitchen. He shakes his head as he resumes the cooking you left behind. If it gets you out of taking care of him, he'd do it again and again. The biggest perk? He was telling the truth. So, his plan to get you out of the house is already working.

"Killin two birds with one stone," Simon murmurs to himself, smiling as he stirs the pot.

This one's a general fandom thing but i dont like when dazai is portrayed as pathetic and needy. When can we get more spunky and capable shounen protagonist energy from dazai content?

Just came up with a stobotnik au idea.

Somehow, while still in hideing, stone and robotnik accidently have kids, and now have to learn how to be responsible parents, while hiding and being on the run from the government. Trying to give their kids as much as a normal life as they can (well, normal by their standards which isnt very normal at all,) to varrying degrees of sucsess.

It would be fun to seeing how the kids grow up in a situation like this and discovering that this is infact, not normal. Because i dont think ivo, nor stone would tell them that their parents are wanted criminals.

Like, how would they make freinds? Would they be able to make freinds? And if so, how would robotnik and stone react to them makeing freinds? How would their schooling be handled? How would they feel about moveing all the time? Would they be confused why everyone their age lives in a house, while they live in a giant crab robot? Would they even be allowed to meet new people? And if not, would stone and robotnik eventually cave and let them socialize a bit? Would either of them grow to resent the two?

It also gets more fun when you concider stone and robotniks reaction in realizing: "oh fuck, we're dads now." How would they parent? Would it be good or bad? Would either one grow to resent their kids and pretend they dont exist, or would they try their best for them? How would they house two children in the crab? How would they feed them? How would they clothe them? In trying to steal stiff for them, would they almost get caught by the government? How many close calls have they had trying to care for them? Would they concidering abandoning them? Would they try to abandon them? Or would they accept their new position?

Honestly, it could go a lot of ways. Though if i were to write a fic about it, i'd probobly hone in on robotniks perspective a bit more than stones, since it be neat to see him react to this. I mean he's a terrible person yeah, and i dont think he'd do the best job in raising them, but he's also an orphan. Family has always been a soft spot from his lack of one, and now he's suddenly been thrust into a role he never expected nor wanted to be in.: being a father goes completly against the image he has of himself.

And thats not even mentioning his past trauma with being abandoned, and neglected. I think its quite possible, that in the heat of the moment, (while they're still babies,) he decides he just cant and tries to get rid of them. Chooseing to just hand them off to an orphanage and just be done with it... but, when he really thinks about it, mulls the plan over, he just... he just cant. He's been in an orphanage before, he's been left by his supposed to be caretakers before, and he just... cant bring himself to do it. Thinking about all the hurt he went through in the orphanage, by his supposed "guardians," he just cant subject them to that. Maybe the final nail in the coffin that gets him to turn around and walk home, is them wakeing up. Wakeing up to giggle at him, make grabby hands twards him, to be delighted by his presence. A reaction that nobody but stone has twards him.

Im thinking that stone eventually finds him while he's on his way back (because lets be honest, he would not think to tell stone he's giving them away, he's very bad at communication,) of course the agents freaked out by them suddenly going missing, but calms down a bit once he see's they're safe.

Robotnik would NOT tell stone about the moment he had. he hates talking about his feelings, and talking about what he just tried to do would deffinetly prompt that. So, instead, he makes up some excuse that seems to satisfy stone.

stone would find out later down the line, when the kids have grown up a lot more. Giving some juicy family angst when they seemed to have more firmly settled in their roles. (Also because i like the twist of: "hey! Remember this thing you never thought was going to come back? Well its back!" And to also give robotnik some consequences to his actions.)

Im also thinking that how the kids find out that their parents are criminals, (they never found out because the government covered everything up,) is that when their adults, one of the kids brings home a signifigent other who also happens to be a G.U.N agent! Which robotnik and stone promptly flips out over to varying degrees.

Btw, little side note that i probobly should have brought up earlier, is that the kids are twins. Just for funsies.

How they met: Due to his injuries making it extremely difficult for him to adjust to his new life in the cult (let alone how he would now have to learn how to live with a mortal body again) on his own, the Yellow Cat (who i will be referring to as "Amare" from now on) was assigned as his caretaker to help him deal with the necessities that came with being a mortal again (sleep, water, physical activities and so on) on top of the problems that came with his injury. While Leshy at first felt insulted by this treatment (the whole "i was a god i can do this without the help of some mortal yada yada" thing), he soon realized it was for the better (while also realizing his feelings for Amare :3).

Leshy: Freed from Purgatory in the cult around 100-ish years after his death and 15 years after Narinder was overthrown by The Lamb. All his high priests and his witness (Amdusias, Valefar, Barbatos and Agares) had passed away before his arrival, making the former and current gods of death the only "familiar" figures in the cult (they both changed so much after their last encounters), although he still avoided both of them most of the time (Narinder because of his conflicting thoughts about the older brother, and The Lamb somewhat out of anger at them but mostly fear due to how traumatic Purgatory was for him), but dont worry they eventually made amends along with the rest of the bishops :). Also became friends with bat follower but she isnt relevant for this post

Amare (the Yellow Cat): Rescued from being sacrificed to the dead bishop of chaos in Darkwood after followers of the Old Faith killed everyone else from his village, works as a farmer in the cult. He was the only follower (aside from the first five followers of the cult, who are kept alive and act as advisors and friends for The Lamb) that knew of Leshy's past as an bishop, and though he still held resentment for the former god, The Lamb's seeming disposition to forgive him made the cat consider doing the same for him, volunteering to be his caretaker. Once their relationship was made official, he was given a golden skull necklace to ensure the two could stay by each other's side for eternity.

Now for the children hehe

They are twins (as ive mentioned in my other posts), a daughter named Camellia (Amare chose the name) and a son named (drumroll please im so proud of this name) Havoc! (Name chosen by Leshy of course).

They both have green moss-like fur from Leshy, and the head shape of a cat from Amare, but other than that their bodies are very distinct due to inheriting different parts from their parents

Havoc: His limbs and tail, as well as his longer whiskers, are from Amare, giving him a silhouette very similar to a cat, aside from the antler-like branches he got from Leshy, he also has two sets of eyes like Leshy used to have once, ironically though, he has rather poor eyesight, needing glasses to see things that are a bit too far. Despite his name he is actually pretty calm and enjoys the peacefulness of the cult, though this doesnt mean he is opposed to some occasional mischief, specially with his sister. Wants to help with teaching when he becomes of age (also im thinking about the idea of having him figure himself out as transfem but thats for another time)

Camellia: her limbs and tail, being from Leshy, are quite a bit longer and thicker than her brother's, giving her a broader and taller silhouette, as well as making her quite a bit stronger physically, she also has only one set of eyes and shorter whiskers than her brother, as well as no branch antlers. Is a very active person, playing with other kids and sometimes helping adults with tasks that wouldnt risk injuring her (most of the time they dont let her though). Also loves doing pranks and other forms of tomfoolery around the cult along with her brother. She is also very protective of him, getting into multiple fights with kids (and a drunk adult one time) who pick on him (aka bullies). Wants to follow her parent's job of farming when she comes of age.

Overview: first thing that popped into my head was the tv show Downtown abbey LOL, I’ve never fully watched that show but I know it’s about the lives of the low class working for noble rich folks. I’m hearing lower middle class marries rich British man. So this pile gives me woman/fem energy. I’m seeing a long trench neigh coat with a black dress and red lip stick. You are very determined and want to make it in this “male dominating world” this was I heard. I don’t think you were from Britain because im hearing the word emigration. So what I’m seeing is that you are a student studying overseas and to help with the cost, you work a maid or a secretary for a wealthy family. I’m hearing this family comes from royalty, they’re not the royal family but possibly cousins or in laws. They’re connected by family in some way. I’m hearing you had 5 kids, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild before you passed. I’m hearing your children were your everything and I think they played a huge part in your lighthearted and playful journey as well! What can you learn from this life:So I think you also have a problem with letting people getting to know you this lifetime. I think you’re still ambitious ,determined and highly focused on your work. Which isn’t a bad thing at all but make time for love and fun in your life as well. Your main lesson is healing your inner child and open your heart up. The one grandchild that you were close to in your past life may actually end up being your child in this one(if you decide to have children) this child will bring out you’re inner child that you forgot about.

What can you learn from this lifetime: considering this is a repeating lifetime theme for you, the first that comes to me is structure, discipline and balance. There’s nothing wrong with having a free spirit but we still need some sort of structure in our lives and this is a main key lesson you need to learn or you’re going to keep repeating this lifetime cycle. no but really this is.... delicious to me so very tasty. like especially when you pull the angle back-back-back to look at the dynamic when oscar's younger and mark IS taking more specific care of him, like he has more reach sort of because he's part of all of these negotiations so he just naturally has that extra bit of control that ends up stretching to all aspects of oscar's life

and then you push back in and oscar's been comparatively independent and mark's still like a support system but not nearly as deeply woven in, little bit less involved. and then this happens and oscar's mad and he's pretty right to be but it's too late in the season to do much about it without burning a whole hell of a lot of bridges so it turns into this like, simmering resigned resentment and probably he is so so tired. like so tired what an exhausting experience

but mark's there with him and it makes the anger feel more valid like he doesn't have a whole team telling him to be a team player he's got mark there seething with him! mark trying to keep himself level but he's just so pissed on behalf of oscar, obv, and for oscar it helps to have that shared but he's still just. tired

hate to say it but skins is getting better on rewatch; the queer politics are batshit insane 

the second half of s1 built up the tony-maxxie relationship as plot-critical: tony trying to hook up with maxxie to "try something new" is the catalyst of tony’s social and then physical+mental downfall. and it is very interesting to me that it is tony’s latent homosexual curiosity that michelle, (and by extension the narrative, which ultimately wants us to root for a michelletony endgame despite how miserable they make each other) finally considers too immoral to ignore (despite the open secret of tony’s many infidelities and plenty of unethical behaviors, as  well as his subtext infatuation with sid)

like it is textually tony’s  attempt to finally act upon this incorrect masculinity that becomes the straw that breaks the camel’s back and brings about plenty of narrative punishment that is a clear tool to make him a “better” person (rn i think skins gen1 is pretty straightforwardly a punitive justice narrative)

anyway, all of this said, we are obviously meant to empathize with maxxie. his s1 conflict is his best friend won’t tell his parents that he is gay; it’s a pretty basic 2007 stuff.  he is the token gay character but he is written as a fully fledged human being (in some cases even more than other members of the cast) though i think this is partially very good acting carrying the character’s depth. he even goes from a secondary cast member in s1 to a primary one in s2, even being the opener of the season. 

what i find interesting is that maxxie is posited as gay from the beginning;  it is the challenging of the main character’s heterosexual status quo that the narrative seems to resent and punish

so we get to s2 and tune in again to see that maxxie’s & tony’s relationship has become one of ongoing intimate/tender/nurturing friendship with undeniable homoeroticism/queer subtext, which seems debatably intentional to me  in a queerbait/fanservice way that is pretty standard for the 00s (with an implied: it’s never going to happen) and this newfound intimacy both heightens the subtext of tony’s queerness while simultaneously neutering it. another reason why i think this development is a response to the audience (and i’ve done zero research so im just extrapolating here) is the plotline that’s just gotten introduced about maxxie’s straight female stalker, which feels like some sort of jab, possibly, to fangirls and fandom

so we’ve got tony, punished for his sexual deviance just when he was beginning to return to the “correct” gender performance (falling in love with michelle rather than just toying with her), and now he is helpless, disabled, and most importantly desexualized, and he is being tended to by the single queer character and all the while michelle waits it out because — well im running out of steam, but something something, michelle cant tend to tony while he is disabled because there’s no eroticism in it, heterosexual intimacy does not involve vulnerability, does not involve caretaking, does not involve emotional and mental support, only the passion of conflict and empty declarations of undying love 

meanwhile, hilariously enough, instead of having sid take care of tony and therefore show a distinct dynamic between michelle and the guy who pretty much says he “belongs to tony,” he is also sulking with michelle and waiting it out like a second love interest because uhhh [checks notes] we also need sid-tony passionate conflict don’t think too hard about it. i love when things are both gay and homophobic

You're not too far off by guessing it was a bomb, lol. I haven't decided exactly what he was working on, but I know it was some kind of highly volatile weapon prototype that backfired at the worst possible moment when he was distracted and didn't have any protective gear on. This was back before he felt the need to wear a battle shell at home, unfortunately, which made the injury much, much worse.

This happened back when he was between 11-13, so Splinter was somewhat present to help with taking care of him, but the main caretaker role went to Leo as the resident medic. Splinter's help was not appreciated by Donnie, to say the least, considering this wasn't long after the incident and left Donnie wondering, "Why now? Why couldn't he be there for Leo and Mikey like he's doing for me, of all people. Does he think I'm too weak to handle this?"

So yeah, Splinter tried but in the end Leo and Mikey took over Donnie's recovery process to avoid any unneeded tension/arguments. And like I said in the original post, after that, Donnie never went without protection for his shell and became very reluctant to build any kind of weapon that does large-scale damage like explosives, lasers, etc.

This didn't stop him from building other awesome tech like the turtle tank or all kinds of defensive measures for himself and the lair, and he still likes building smaller scale weaponry like guns or multi-tools. Kinda ironic in his brothers' opinions that he refuses to make a flash grenade while also not hesitating to build a mini-turret for the lair entrance to gun down trespassers, but whatever makes him happy ig

okay so-- he's Arven's baby brother, there's about 3 years of an age difference! They're fully blood related, in my hc turo and sada are both the parents, it just depends on the game which one gets their research off the ground (which is part of the reason they split as well) it really just depends on how im feeling which is the "main" parent, but i did play scarlet so usually sada

Anyway! things proceed as they do in canon, except instead of just Arven and mabosstiff, he also has this little brother he has to take care of, which he kinda resents. he doesn't hate s/i, but he's not a very loving or attentive caretaker. he takes care of them, feeds them, etc etc but he's emotionally distant. despite this, s/i is obsessed with his big brother and thinks he's the coolest ever.

they both enroll in the academy, Arven decides to go looking for mom/dad in area zero, mabosstiff gets hurt. Arven tries to find solutions on his own, finds out about the herba mystica/titan pokemon. eventually swallows his pride and asks his brother for help. s/i is like yippee my super cool and awesome big bro wants my help??? and agrees immediately.

they end up bonding a lot over the course of fighting titans and area zero and everything. Arven's happy to be able to finally see his baby brother in a positive light, but whoops maybe he likes him a bit too much? There's a bit of mutal pining "oh god we're brothers he's going to think im so gross" but they eventually start dating at some point post-canon.

also his signature pokemon is dachsbun! i think it's fitting bc it has a type advantage over mabosstiff, and is also a food related mon. and ofc another dogy pokemon :33

Hi! We don’t have any personal experience with creating a thoughtform, but we’ve heard from a lot of paromancers (including our partner system!) and have spent a lot of time in paromancy spaces. And honestly, it’s to our understanding that creating a thoughtform for the sole purpose of having a helper or creating a headmate to manage symptoms or act as a caretaker may not be a good idea. Thoughtforms are people, just like you and me, and they may not live up to any preconceived expectations you have for them, especially when it comes to providing support and/or guidance! So creating a thoughtform in order for them to fill the role of helping and supporting you may not turn out how you expect, as they might reject that role or resent the idea of being created merely as a means of support.

However, you know yourself and your situation better than we ever could! So if you really feel like creating a thoughtform is the right path for you to take, and that you’ll be able to give your thoughtform agency, and not hold them to any preconceived ideas or expectations about who you want them to be, then do as you like!

If you’re curious about other forms of created plurality besides paromancy, we recommend checking out daemonism or imagian plurality! Both of which are, to our understanding, a bit lower stakes and perhaps a good way to “test the waters” of plurality so to speak. Especially imagian plurality, which is basically creating imaginary friends and choosing to view them through a plural lense! And imaginary friends do have the potential to develop fully into thoughtforms later, so if it’s going well, you’ll always have that as an option!
