Normally Echo and his troops were the ones forcefully docking on ships to take the men inside. They hadn't expected it to go the other way. Echo turned to look at his crew. They had come to rescue a few more of their brothers. Their wasn't a way to escape the tractor beam and no escape pods. Their wasn't anywhere they could hide either. Surrender wasn't an option.

They still had to try, even if they were already pinned down. It was the groups only real chance. The few extra people could aid them, Echo thought. He nodded to the group and they all understood. If they were going down, they'd go down fighting to save the veterans on the imperial ship. Fight to save their brothers.

As the others readied, Echo turned a corner and pulled his comm. It flickered on and the arc trooper tapped the necessary buttons for a recorded message.

"Hey. I'm gonna be honest here, things aren't looking good for us right now. If you get this then assume we're captured or gone." Echo spoke calmly throughout the recording.

"Have Tech take a look and see if he can find Fireball, Gregor, or Nemec on any sort of imperial captive list. I hate to do this, but we're gonna need help. You're the only people I trust to do this. If you can't find a number or name somewhere, we're gone. It'll be okay. I'll be with my-"

"Echo, come on!" Fireball called back as the door opened.

"Err, nevermind. Shouldn't go there anyways. I love you all. " Echo quickly stopped the message and got it ready to send.

"Coming." The ARC trooper came up behind the others and started to lead them off. They could already hear stormtroopers running down a hall. All eyes landed on their leader and he motioned for them to get into position. The imperials entered and blaster fire started to ring through the corridor.

The batch was together when they received the transmission. Tech played it for them all. As one they stood grasped by surprised. When the message stopped Tech started looking. If Echo was out there, the batch would find him. After all, the first rule is to never leave a brother behind. Before, Echo had already been left for dead. The batch promised it would never happen again.

I will make no excuses. This is the biggest example of self indulgent art ive done since my birthday last year. I have no fucking clue what au this is. I jsut wanted to draw Sabo as a sheep, Ace as slutty and greasy as i could with him still being hot in my eyes, and luffy with adorable little bear ears. Also that shading on luffy’s pic was really fun to make.

I had a physical reaction to drawing the little animals. Theyre. Everything. To me.

Why luffy is bear- bears are so food motivated i love them.

Why sabo is sheep- rebelling against fate’s design, breaking from herd mentality, etc etc

Why ace is coyote- it’s really funny how people keep thinking theyre cats or dogs and take them in but theyre just feral creatures. Very similar to Ace me thinks.

I wanted to make luffy and ace typical predators of sheep. Something something them born to destroy the system of all that has ever been (harking back to that herd mentality) something something also breaking that promise too to be brothers with someone from that system

Just thought the funniest thing I think they could do with the new Dick and Jason's robin movie is to go back to pre crisis canon bringing back jasons circus origins and having all four parents die in the same acrobatics murder

but it breaks my heart so bad like ace is luffy's older brother and now he has to be his sole protector, but at the end of the day he was still just a little kid.

and then im like ARGH cuz sabo was ace's best friend even before they became brothers and even before luffy came along like Sabo was the only one there for him for who knows how long. He lost his brother, his best friend, and one of his reasons for being alive IM SO SAD
