your head nuzzles into james' neck, inhaling greedily. "you smell good..." you sigh dreamily, nails raking the tiny curls at the base of his neck.

"yeah? i took a shower earlier... used that lavender soap you like," he hums while adjusting at the duvet. he huffs softly, unsure whether the cold touch of the wall that digs into his side annoys him more or the small amount of bedding left.

he tugs at the thick blanket as if attempting to get comfortable but you choose to not think much of it. in your mind, he fancies your cuddles, your affection, like he does every day.

after few seconds of finagling and a growing frown of frustration, "can you back up just a little bit? you've left me no space and this window sill is just stabbing my side like mad..." he groans.

you pout slightly, cheeks flushing a soft hue that closely resembles one of embarrassment. "sorry," you reply softly, body rolling over before scooting towards the opposite end of the bed.

"oh, love..." he makes an awfully sweet crooning sound, lips matching your bitty frown as you hug the bunched up duvet in your arms as if wired to cuddle something, to cuddle james.

james sighs, inching closer till your back meets his front. toned arms wrap around your midriff in attempt to apologize further.

"'m sorry, i didn't mean to be all over you." you speak understandingly, barely there and james feels his heart crack into trillions of pieces.

because here you are, being his undoubtedly sweet girl, showering him in your love that it makes his own affection cower next to yours.

"it's not your fault, baby. i dunno' why i spoke that way, 'm sorry." he speak weakly, as if barely noticing his original tone of voice.

you hum, "you seemed like you had a rough day... cuddles always seem to do the trick, but i guess today's different and that's okay." your voice is nothing but a squeak, soft and meek in a way that makes james believe that you'd rather not upset him again.

he's quick to prove otherwise as he showers your nape and cheek with the sweetest of kisses, soft lips against your supple skin.

"i'm not mad, my beautiful girl. you're so kind, always caring for others, thank you for the cuddles!" he lays it on thick, tone drenched in the finest of honey from the most richest of hives.

you giggle as his kisses grow tenfold, thicker fingers tickling at your waist. "jamie!" you laugh, swatting at his wrists with no real defense, more or less for show.

laughter and tickles turn to soft grazes and a love-sick gaze that makes you melt into the sheets like putty.

"why're you looking at me like that?" you whisper, thumb grazing his hairline absentmindedly.

"'cause you're lovely," he whispers back.

"you're lovely," you quip back with ease.

"nuh-uh, sweet girl. you're definitely loveliest." he coos.

Epic songs that fit Svsss characters/moments

Epic and scum villain are currently my favorite fandoms (not counting tgcf) so I wanted to make this list. Also please give me any epic x svsss fics or art, I'd greatly appreciate it (I've already read the suffering fic)!!!

Just a man: This was actually what inspired this list and the idea for an animation won't leave my head. This is Shen Qingqiu during the abyss scene. This is him trying to rationalize pushing Luo Binghe. The whole first half of the song is him saying how he couldn’t possibly do it. You'd replace "Deep down I'd trade the world to see my son and wife" with "Deep down I'd trade almost anything to save you from this fate" (yes ik it doesn't sound good or rhyme but I'm terrible at anything music based or poem based). The silent beat between "I'm just a man" and the "but when dose a comet become a meteor" is the system reminded him of how many points he'll lose (and maybe how many he has), so he get that final push to turn his sword onto Luo Binghe.

Luck runs out: OK, this one is not even close to cannon but I'd love if this happened even if it's slightly occ. Also this isn't nearly as long as just a man bc that one actually has been haunting my brain like Christmas in October. I can see this is moment between Shen Qingqiu escaping the water prison and self destructing where somehow Shen Qingqiu runs into Shang Qinghua. I think that it would be more likely to happen if they were a bit closer and if Shang Qinghua wasn't fully sure that the mushroom bodies would be ok. I think it could sort of be Shang Qinghua trying to get Shen Qingqiu to flee the city (this gets shut down either by Shen Qingqiu telling him about the blood mites or Luo Binghe almost having qi deviation)

Wouldn't you like: Doing time jumps because I'm going in Epic order. This is literally just some sort of knowledge person rewarding Luo Binghe for helping them. So they tell him about Xin Mo and how all of his enemies (or monsters), that will kill him if he doesn't become stronger, will be easily defeated with Xin Mo

There are other ways: A woman who was supposed to be a wife trying to get out of a lost fight. Of course Luo Binghe doesn't care so instead she gives him information about a prophet that can help him escape in exchange for mercy.

No longer you: I would talk about this but there are already at least three animations on YouTube on this, they're both so good. [animation 1] [animation 2] [animation 3]

Monster: Luo Binghe finally "snapping" or coming to terms with his blackening (in the abyss)

Suffering: Sirens that were either a wife plot or wives themselves originally, probably both. Luo Binghe trying to get info out of a siren that looks like his beloved shizun, thats it. There is also a really cool animation of this on YouTube. [Animation]

Legendary: this on is only being added because the same creator at the suffering did one if legendary and it opened my eyes. It's pretty much white lotus Binghe talking about wanting to be great then cutting to black lotus (during the five years) wishing for his shizun back. [Animation]

Little wolf: Kind of a stretch but Meng Mo training a young Luo Binghe. This would not be a real fight but old fights that Luo Binghe lost and is reliving in his dreams to see what he did wrong. The only problem would be hurting the mind by hurting someone in a dream. Alternatively: Shen Qingqiu silently cheering on Luo Binghe during his "fight" with Ming Fan. Quick thought would just be the leaves being shot

I can't help but wonder: This just feels like something post cannon where BingQiu finally talk about everything. Luo Binghe probably says something about how he's a monster and has done terrible things and Shen Qingqiu is practically offended that Luo Binghe would suggest that Shen Qingqiu wouldn't love him because of that

takes a deep breath. ik it hasn't even been a day but we need to talk about the umbrella academy season 4. obviously spoilers ahead. and a long, long fucking post full of complaints.

this season got me shinji chairing so hard. what the fuck. six episodes that last barely an hour each and all for THAT ending? don't get me wrong, the ending itself is... not the worst possible outcome, ig, but like. plot holes so big i can fit five's ego in there and still have spare space.

yeah, let's start from there. what the fuck was that? a half-assed five/lila romance was the last thing we needed. call me a hater, tell me i don't know how to appreciate complex stories, idc. that sucked ass. not only is it creepy in so many ways, but it also brought absolutely NOTHING to the story. "oh but if that didn't happen then five wouldn't have accidentally wandered into the station's coffee shop and met himself" I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!!!! IT COULD'VE HAPPENED IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS!!!!!! AND FIVE KNOWS BETTER THAN TO THROW HANDS WITH HIS BROTHER OVER A GIRL WHILE THE REST OF THEIR SIBLINGS ARE FIGHTING THE DAMN BLOB OF DEATH!!!

moving on ig. i don't like how allison's past actions seemed to be simply forgotten. i know they acknowledge it a couple times and that it's been six years, but lord almighty she assaulted luther, got him killed, and betrayed her entire family for a father that never cared about any of them. i don't think i could forgive that so easily (i'm looking at you klaus).

about the plot holes. first off, i would've appreciated even just a slight explanation of what the fuck reginald and abigail are? are they aliens? are they robots? are they alien robots? also, side note, what the fuck did reginald even do to grace atp? did he create a robot in the image of a human lady or did he turn the human lady into a robot???? and back to abigail for a moment: ?????????? and also the obsidian hotel????? AMERICA EXPLAIN. EXPLAIN

more plot holes: the solution to the cleanse problem. five said that the only way to fix the timelines is to let the cleanse happen, aka absorb them, so that the marigold inside them is destroyed since that's what split the timelines, no? and they made a big deal out of lila leaving because they needed all of the marigold holders to partake in this. except that YOU EIGHT IDIOTS ARE NOT ALL THE OCTOBER 1ST KIDS IN THE WORLD. THERE'S MORE, THAT WAS LIKE 43 WOMEN WHO GAVE BIRTH YOU DUMB FUCKING CUNTS. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 35 KIDS. uhm. sorry about that. moving on.

did not like how jennifer's character was treated at all. no time to develop, no time to get us to know her. straight to the blob of death without even explaining what was going on. how did the durango end up in her body? who even created that anyways? how did she end up in a damn fucking giant squid? why was she talking about the cleanse? what the fuck? listen im sure the comics explain this and ik this show is supposed to be a bit... confusing and nonsensical, but this is info you can't just leave out. feels like lazy writing.

and how the fuck did the cleanse cult even know that this nonesense that a kid coming out of a squid was blabbering about was connected to them having dreams of other timelines? how the fuck did jean and gene know? what?

yk what, im also gonna throw in some more personal points of view in here. i did not understand a single thing about the timeline/universe/whatever they ended up in at the end of s3. is it a new universe? if so, why is everything the same and WHY is the timeline still fucked? and where's the academy in this timeline? does it not exist? why? why and how is abigail still alive? was she even dead in s1, on the moon? or was that a cryo capsule? if so, why keep her there?

and there's more folks! why did the timeline train not stop at lila and five's stop? that was random and never explained, and feels like lazy writing, again. or like an excuse to get a specific two people to mingle just to create an unnecessary and unwanted love triangle? perchance?

lastly, how can claire and lila and diego's children still exist if their parents were erased from existence? and since they still exist but their parents never did, how does it work? do lila's parents just look after these random kids? without reason? wouldn't not having existing parents at all create legal problems?

overall, i have a lot of issues with this season. it feels extremely rushed, and honestly quite boring in comparison to the other three. and the lack of explanations makes it so hard to enjoy because i'm busy being confused. im not so mad about the ending, i kinda saw it coming (my choice was between they all die or they get stuck in a loop), and I don't think it's necessarily a bad ending for a story like this one. i am a bit sad, yes, and i will miss these characters and regret the fact that they didn't get the lives they deserved, but i think it's an ok ending. not the best, but ok. but the rest of the season? ass. yet another show absolutely ruined by netflix's inability to see past money and actually produce a good ending instead of rushing things. peace ��️

Main story for now includes highlights from the game's script I'm writing but all major updates (like in-game chapter development or distribution; since most seemed to prefer chapter-by-chapter development akin to BATIM) will go there.

And info posts are, well, info posts. In the last one I talked about possible game mechanics I'd like to try and implement in renpy.

The story itself is a bit hard to follow rn I imagine, since I'm mostly sharing "heheh funneh" dialogue or particular character interaction; I don't want to spoil stuff too much. But I suppose I could give a better synopsis than the one up on the "About" page:

Tord comes to London to find help with his "special Gehenna stopping ancient vampire killing project". He's struggling, until he meets Edd, who then in exchange for a car ride introduces him to Matt. Matt agrees to help Tord's venture if he, in turn, helps Matt with his debt to the local Camarilla. The task at hand is to locate three items that could in some way shape or form represent "eternal power".

So for the most part it's three separate heists/fetch quests (each "starring" one of the guys - Edd, Tom, Tord; Matt is busy directing them and doing his own thing in the spare time. Though he gets his own bit of "fun" during the time he gets paired with Tord, on the second quest).

However there's also something developing in the background (like people going MIA) and at a certain point it intervenes into the heist plot and turns it into madoka-esque grand-scale thing...a bit hard to explain but, you'll see ^^

i saw a post while i was going through the lychee dragon cookie tag fairly early and it broke me BECAUSE it detailed lychee being unable to comprehend how someone can actually care for them that it doesnt need their powers, like almost being hostile to the idea that they could love and someone could love them back, perhaps they fear deep down that if they do accept that love they'll turn docile and "weak", but deep down i feel like they're touch starved and want that love so bad

like imagine making ppl fall for you and then someone actually cares for you so your powers don't work, nitpicking at this fear of being able to love even though they actually really really really want that, its just their fear of yk not being "evil" which is dangerous for them and horrible for their ability to get whatever they want cuz they make ppl fall for them with literally just a glance (see their info). rejecting and being hostile to a love you actually want and really crave is a complicated feeling even i cant comprehend and it hurts cuz that is probably what lychee actually felt when they first fell for s/o other than being so so in love with them, and had to get over first and in secret probably because i picture them having trouble voicing what they actually truly feel that isnt obsessive love for their partner

and that fact of being inescapably in love with their partner makes their fear so much harder to get over because they love this one person so frickin much it hurts to see them leave their island or their sight for just a moment, but fearing this love you cant escape now because you've fallen so so hard you cant go back and being hostile to it makes it hard to love them

cuz (ik i keep saying it but 😭) theyre scared to love from their fear of losing that authoritarianism they have over the lowly beings, but falling so dam hard for this one person that they can't go back makes me think they had to get over this inner turmoil before they could court reader properly (and it ties back to lychee not wanting to use their powers on reader because they want real love because again they secretly want that love so so bad).

i'm so sorry for how long this is its just my heart doesnt have enough space for how much i love and obsess over them 😭

Aaaa I just discovered this blog and it's really interesting! I don't know too much about xenogenders/neopronouns since they kind of get me very overwhelmed due to my need to Absolutely understand everything and categorize/label stuff when I'm in a community (ex: fandoms, archetypes, tropes) so this might be a dumb question but.. what exactly are titles and what are they used for? And how should someone go about when making a gender-system? I'm asking because I plan on making one for a story and don't really know how to go about it.. anyways, so sorry for this dumb ask! there are no dumb questions here!! i’ll put the two explanations under the cut since it’z kinda long. sorri abt that! the gender systems i mention have alreadi been created, and i’ve linked them where i mention them if you wanna check them out!!

okk so titles are basicalli a name that describes someone or a certain aspect of them. does that make sense? it’s kinda like a name or pronouns in that they can give someone euphoria and they’re a way of describing a person. like a realli simple one that’z used outside the mogai communiti bc it’s an actual like position would be the prince!! more creative titles that aren’t used in day-to-day life might be “the creator of the heavens” or “(pronoun) who creates life.” these are more creative and descriptive than just a “job” title (i put in quotes bc i’m not sure if being a prince is considered a job LOL. but a more job-like one would be the baker). but yeah, they’re p much used as one would use a name or a pronoun, which is to address people.

as for gender systems, there are a few things that are considered sort of…gender system etiquette, shall we say?

1) think of the concept you want to convey. do you want a gender system where one’s gender is decorated with smth (genderdecorated)? or maybe one where one’s gender is related to certain fonts (genderfont)? then take that idea and turn it into a single word. most gender systems don’t have commonli seen gender endings like -ic or -gender, but just the word. am i making ani sense? i hope so 😅

2) take that word and put gender in front of it!! like with genderdecorated and genderfont. people will replace the word gender with the concept (or with genderfont it’z the font name) name of their choosing. like for example, if they want to coin a gender under the genderdecorated gender system where one’s gender is decorated in cuteness, it would be known as cutedecorated.

3) before we go ani further, check to see if the gender system alreadi exists!!!! look up gender_ in the tumblr search bar, and if nothing comes up, you’re probabli good to go!!

4) the next step is creating the flag template. try to make a unique flag template outside of just straight stripes, if possible. if you’re not sure how to do that, check out this quick tutorial here. if you have ani questions regarding this step, feel free to send in another ask!! below is the greyscale color palette i use for my templates. ik it looks boring, but people will use the template as a base and recolor it! this is commonli done w the bucket tool, but there’s probabli other methods. aniways, here’s the palette. simpli put an image layer into your canvas with this as an image and sample out the colors so that you can use them in your flag!!

ignore the colors above and below the greyscale line, i could onli crop it sm </3 keep in mind that you don’t need to use all of these colors in your template!!! they’re just there if you need them.

5) craft the definition, adding in blanks for people to fill in with the concept they want. for more info on what i mean, check out the coining posts to the gender systems i’ve mentioned above (dw, they’re linked!!) or check out any of my gender system coining posts, which can all be found linked in the pinned post of @bloodygendersystems !! sorri that i’m not great at explaining this part. it’z probabli just best to look at examples.

6) this part is optional, but it’z helpful for people who may want to coin under your gender system. upload your flag template(s) to deviantart!! when saving flag templates straight from tumblr, they get a bit blurri, making them harder to recolor. if this has ever happened to anibodi reading this, dw!! i got you. upload the flag you’ve saved from tumblr to this upscaler website, click the highest upscale option available to you, fill out the captcha, click download, and voilà! it should be readi for you to recolor!! ik the website name is kinda weird, but it’z upscale power is unmatched. i’ve also seen other people use it without issue so it should be good!!! i think it’z also an app, but i’ve onli ever used the website.

7) post your gender system!! if you plan on coining ani genders under your gender system, add the names of them into the post so people know not to coin those ones!! you could say smth like “planning to coin x, y, and z, so please don’t coin those unless i get overwhelmed and say you can.” some people might reblog with genders they’re going to coin as well, so make a mental note not to coin those ones.

Buttons Analysis Post except it's just the three Buttons' I find myself thinking about often <3

First up !!

Damon Gillespie because I'm watching a Broadway Boot as I write this <3

Damon's Buttons is definitely a new newsie 2 me ? He's more in the background, from what I've noticed he hasn't really interacted with any of the other newsies (at least not a lot), past like — reactions to things they say (ex: him manually turning his head away from Crutchie when Crutchie says 'the kind that turns a ladies head' and him nodding & sort've going 'yeah' when Davey says they should save any exclusive for a real reporter), PLUS he scabs (which uksies Buttons also does but that's a topic 4 later in this post) & the way that is reacted to makes him seem just. newer. Like he's been there and people know he's been there, but they aren't particularly close to him. He's more comfortable with the newsies as a group during KoNY, but I didn't catch him interacting with anyone specifically (I totally could've missed something, though).

He is also, if I remember correctly, the seconddd scab? I wanna say? So, he gives in second rather than first like Alex Christians.

Next up !!

Adrienne Storrs because Marriott Buttons my lovely <3

Marriott Boots sadly do not exist but I have enough background info from old posts + hcs 4 her 2 properly analyze her so !!

She is definitely bisexual sorry. I do not usually add sexuality hcs into my character analyses unless it's like. Specifically surrounding their sexuality but she literally checked out Kath when she walked into Jacobi's. & she & JoJo are 'best gal pals' . I know what she is.

She's also probably one of the older newsies age wise (even though she's only been a newsie for a few years according to her actress), and like. Definitely a big sister figure for a few of the other newsies (specifically Specs !!), and along with JoJo, she also hangs out with Race & Albert (they are her favorite to goof around with, apparently), and she's a really positive person !! She also very recently had a rich boyfriend that went to jail for forgery that she's at least a little bit upset about, so it had probably been going on for at least a little bit.

& from what I've seen, she doesn't scab !! She is very much there trying to convince the others not to scab, compared to the other two who do Scab.

And last but definitely not least, Alex Christian, to finish out the trio of Buttons' !!!

UKsies Buttons is definitely very bright — his name comes from 'having all of his Buttons', and he's also probably one of the older newsies considering how he acts with other people (ex: stealing an apple with Ike, bringing Splasher some coffee after he doesn't get any from the nuns, encouraging Ike to give an apple to Tommy Boy), but he's also one of the more laid back Newsies (he steals like. twice. once with Ike & once with Crutchie).

But to go along with him being close with the other newsies, he still scabs !! He does give it first, though, conceding with Jacks speech.

And now, to compare them all:

I think that it's very interesting how they all sort've portrayed Buttons in similar ways, even if it's just in the background;

Marriott and UK both are very close with the other newsies, they're both big siblings to the other ones and they're both more responsible then some of the others — they also both steal! Marriott Buttons used to pickpocket before she became a newsie.

UK and Broadway both scab !! They both have that aspect of betraying the newsies whether it's personal or just something they had to do to survive, but they're probably both forgiven fairly quickly considering how comfortable everyone is with them during KoNY.

Marriott and Broadway are the least similar, in my opinion, but they are both very silly so good enough!!!

HUH??? i just wanted merthur to fuck on the pitch... (joke) (just in time for fuck him on the field friday)

also there's side stories. like one is when the players get handcuffed tgt for 24hrs but they've got an uneven amt for it and merlin gets roped in

and then there's the valentine's day arwen special that i somehow accidentally made into a statement about arthur's attitude toward his sexuality?? and feelings for merlin??? through his anxiety about his date with gwen????

So pacing was a huge issue for me. I didn't WANT to write a full route. It was not my intention to write 20 chapters. I wanted it to be semi short.. like 8-10 like I've said..but then I didn't want everything to happen TOO quickly. I wanted to pace it out a little more. I wanted a LITTLE filler but I also didn't want to drag it on. Plus I couldn't really think of anything else to really add???

But I knew pacing would be a little bad. But I'm also writing this for shits and giggles..not as a real route so that's why I was like "you know what, it's okay"

So with Leonardo and Salaì...the thing is...his route isn't even canon. There's no way he would pick MC over Leonardo. So with all of that I didn't fully know how to word it all with it being so repetitive bc I worried about that as well. But basically Salaì realized that he shouldn't revolve his life around Leonardo, even though that's what he's been doing for centuries. Living without Leonardo is unthinkable to him. But he caught feelings for MC and he was like "know what I need to live for myself"

I hc that Leonardo has anger issues, and when he turned Salaì, he was technically VERY young considering he's a pureblood. So I tend to make him a little immature to make it fit.

Especially after Leonardo hurt his feelings. He's trying to tell himself that Leonardo isn't worth it, which MC helped him see bc in his eyes Leonardo could do no wrong and everything that happened was his fault and all on him. So he decided to move out to be away from Leonardo. He's hoping it helps him get tober him, but he still wants some sort of relationship with him.

BUT I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKED IT!!!!

i also appreciate the contribution because dissociation feels extremely underdiscussed so like. yes. go off. i'm lucky enough to have been in therapy since i was but a wee child, and i gotta say, learning to label your own experiences can be very critical.

uh this is super unfocused i'm just VERY pro-people learning words to describe what they're experiencing so i'm going to turn this into a quick lesson. no sources just my own head please no one take a tumblr post too seriously kthx.

dissociation is separating yourself from the current moment. this can range from normal and healthy (zoning out) to a way to cope with stress (going numb in a crisis) to a disorder (depersonalization/derealization) to a disorder[special edition] (dissociative identity disorder).

depersonalization is when you stop feeling like yourself. it's often described as third person mode. you might feel disconnected with your body, out of control of your actions, that sort of thing.

derealization is when the world stops feeling real. things feel fuzzy and dreamlike. it's the "this isn't happening" feeling, where you don't feel like the events around you are really happening.

depersonalization/derealization disorder (DPDR) is a dissociative disorder that involves experiencing both of those. i'm not super familiar with the criteria off the top of my head, but if dissociative symptoms are bothering you, maybe look into it.

dissociative identity disorder and other specified dissociative disorder 1 (did & osdd-1, often written osddid) are an extreme form of dissociation known as structural dissociation. (also in this category are ptsd, cptsd, and bpd.) these form from repeated childhood trauma and a disorganized attachment style.

grounding helps bring you into this moment. there are a lot of techniques, and you may need to experiment. strong sensory experiences (extreme temperatures, intense exercise, strong tastes or scents, loud music, etc.) can be helpful, but so can mindfulness. (note: for some, mindfulness will increase dissociative symptoms. if it works, great! if it doesn't, don't force it.)

everyone dissociates to some extent, so don't panic if you have moments of dissociation. but if it's distressing to you, hopefully this gives you some language to talk about what you're experiencing, as well as the very start of how to cope.

I'm sending this here as an anon because I don't have the energy to go elsewhere. I am feeling terrible. I feel like I'm way too soft spoken and people take advantage of that. I work for people where I help them figure things out and give them info regarding whatever we are working on. I just joined this industry recently and I've never worked in a field like this before. So I must say I'm still lacking in a lot of areas. But this one client I work with directly, messaged me after work hours and asked for info that I worked on in the last minute because of personal life issues and his feedback was honest and I do accept his criticism but he was rather rude about it. He looked down on me despite knowing it and I've always been soft spoken and I have just realized how many people have just been so demeaning and rude to me just because I won't say a thing. I'm so hurt right now and I don't know who to turn to. What's the alternative? How can I bring about a balance between when I'm being nice and when I'm being stern in a nice way? But more importantly why are people so rude? Ik I must be sounding like a whiny brat right now but I am really hurt. I am also afraid I'll lose my job as I'm still interning there and will only get my permanent post after a 3 month period. What can I do?

Hi anon, I am sorry to hear what you are going through. My advice? Big change starts small (not meant to be a pun). Start by standing up for yourself in the smallest ways. Confidence is like a muscle, it needs to be developed over time. If someone is rude to you, call them out, even a simple "There is no need to disrespect me while making your point". You'd be surprised by how quickly people change their ways.

I hope others have some advice for you too.

Pulling at the top of your dress, you tried to loosen up the tightness of the neck area. It felt like a noose to you. Fortunately, the fabric was soft, extremely luxurious, and it covered every part of your body, excluding your hands and head.

Lex, on the other hand, was in some kind of fancy suit, that looked more expensive than the carpet in his penthouse. And his carpet was more expensive then your phone bill. Well, when you had a phone.

You didn't remember when he had found you, but you remember before. At least, bits and pieces of it. A home in a suburban neighborhood, a mom and a dad, a normal looking life for a kid like you. However, after a few months ago, it was far from normal.

You were given the finest things people would want in life, in return for… hanging out with lex luthor. It sounded weird at first, but you soon realized it wasn't a joke.

You werent treated as a prostitute, and not as a lover either: you weren't even legal. If you had to guess the relationship between you and Lex, it would have to be a father and daughter kind of relationship. Which also could explain why he wanted you to call him dad.

Back to this "gala", Lex actually would ban you from going to any party at all and left you with guards at all parts of the penthouse you were stationed at, sometimes even leaving you with Mercy. 

You didn't really know why he was letting you go out to this gala, but you had a few ideas. For starters, this gala was not just for anyone, it was for extremely rich people who had nothing better to do then sit around in a room. Which also explained the reason why everything looked the price of a liver.

Another possible reason was that a close colleague of your "dad" had seen you walking around in the penthouse. You never saw who it was but Lex advised you to stay out of sight when people were visiting.

Fortunately he didn't get as mad as you expected him to which was a good thing to be honest. He wasn't the type to tell you, more just reprimand you in a voice that just spelt disappointment. 

Anyway. It wasn't good to think of when he was angry with you. Right now you had to focus on the people who were trying to figure out who you were. 

Sticking close to Lex was easy, since he was 6 feet tall. Easily. And the fact that people wouldn't approach you when you were next to him. Only the people who you actually recognized either from voice or appearance were brave enough to even look in your direction.

The night was almost over when a man approached the two of you. At this point your feet were getting sore and when you asked Mercy for the time, she responded that it was almost 12: lex would definitely send you to bed as soon as you got home again. 

However, the man who approached the two of you was familiar. It only took a few seconds of going through your memories and seeing Lexs face turn to slight annoyance to realize this was Bruce Wayne.

He walked up to the two of you and smiled down at you. 

"Well, I didnt know Lex had a child. What is your name?"

You were about to respond when Lex interrupted you. "Their name is ____. And unfortunately, we were just about to leave. I hope that whatever you were going to ask can wait until later?"

Wayne's smile faltered a little, before it turned neutral. "Unfortunately, no, but it is a quick question. And one that I need to speak with you in private?" He looked at you, before speaking again, "No harm meant."

You were about to respond again, when Lex motioned to Mercy. "Mercy, could you take ____ back to the limo? I will be just a moment- oh, and do not let her out of your sight."

Mercy nodded, and taking your hand, she led you back to the elevator where the entrance was. All while everyone was focused on the two of you.

Wayne was the first to speak. "Shes not yours, is she?"

"____ is my daughter, and I hope you would have the decency to not spew this to the media. You dont seem the type of man to feed the media with info, especially not of a, young girl."

Wayne looked offended, and didnt even try to hide it in his face. "No. If anything, I was wondering why you, of all people, would be taking care of a child."

Lex did not seem offended. "Oh, but you have so many children, I thought it was a necessity." Lex leaned in a little towards Wayne and whispered, "And to be quite honest with you, it is none of your concern."

Wayne simply glared at Luthor before Lex started moving away from Wayne. 

"Well, I'm sorry to say but I believe I've kept ____ waiting for long enough. I'm afraid I must go."

He didnt wait for Wayne to say anything he simply stormed off to the elevator and left.

Wayne did nothing but walk over to the windows, where he was able to get a clear view of Mercy holding your forearm and opening the limo door while a few more guards stood near you. Lex appeared soon after with his own guards and ushered you in the car. 

Lifting his hand towards his ear, he commed his own children.

Whispering, he said "All of you better be following that limo when I get down there."

He heard Dick chuckle. "Oh, dont worry Bruce. I think the 4 trackers on that thing will be enough."

Bruce didnt say anything as he watched the limo drive off into the distance. Figuring it was time to dip, he left his wine glass empty at a table and left the room, and trying to figure out who was the strange girl he had just met.
