We went to an Eastern European market for lunch, and it has an attached restaurant. It's our second time there. Hubs got the borscht & Hungarian goulash & I got mushroom soup and varenyky. I got a combo of cheese ones and potato ones. Everything was delicious! And I got a coffee mug in the market. It says, "Ukraine is my country" in Ukrainian.

forrest!! SOS!! i have no good food to eat!! ik u can cook so can u tell us some yummy recipes?
oh god i feel like senshi because im so so very late to this ask because ive been in a slump with cooking myself and youve definitely eaten by now. BUT i have a few that i make either when i want comfort food that still checks some boxes of being kind of nutritious or that are just fast
i. spam musubi but its not actually
spam musubi are these awesome hand held things. sometimes they have egg sometimes they dont but i will eat a whole can worth in one go. so i do it as a bowl instead
i start jasmine rice in our rice cooker and chop the spam into cubes vs slices like it would be for musubi. fry them on medium high until theyre crispy. then ill julienne an onion and add it to the spam. once the onion is starting to soften ill add the sauce. the recipe i saw was 2tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp mirin with like a spoon full of sugar (honestly it was probably just under a tbsp) but ive been cheating recently and using a japanese bbq sauce i found at our local asian grocery store. once everything is coated i cook it a few mins so the sauce thickens up. by then the rice should be done and then you just take a scoop of each and i add seaweed on top
i know its not proper but since will doesnt like the sweet savory combo and im the only one eating it this way is easier for me to handle. i can store the rice and spam separately so nothing gets mushy and even refry the spam when i want to heat it back up
ii. black bean, pepper and cheese quesadilla
this is actually how i got will to try beans. i just take a can of black beans and dump the whole thing into a pot and cook on medium until i can smash them. ill also fry peppers and onions on medium until they have a little char. spices are honestly up to you and how spicy you want it. i usually put salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, chili powder and garlic in with the beans. once the beans are mostly smashed and the peppers cooked ill throw them together and smash them more just so everything is easier to spread onto a tortilla. that plus you can add your cheese. ive shredded my own and used grocery store mixes so its up to you!
iii. spicy garlic tofu
almost no notes on this. i use less maple syrup than the recipe calls for so 1tbsp of everything in the sauce. and instead of gochujang i use a chinese chili paste, imo it ends up less ketchup flavored but if you like ketchup then just use gochujang
iv. https://thecookiewriter.com/roasted-mushroom-pot-pie/
i dont make this as often but this is a recipe i use as a base and then cheat. i swap in frozen veggies and it speeds everything up
v. hotpot
i love making hotpot at home. its super easy skill wise it just takes some time. you can buy premixed hot pot bases from the grocery store if you have an asian grocery store near you and you just dunk stuff in the soup until its cooked. you just need to watch out for the spice level of the broth
will and i will usually get thinly sliced beef, rice cakes, udon noodles, fish cakes, bok choy and mushrooms. all you do is bring the broth to a boil and cook your ingredients. sometimes i dunk with chopsticks other times i cook with a small strainer lol

Fun facts abt residents according to Ikevamp Radio (ヴァンなま) Part 2
Continuing with the Ikevamp radio findings (& some stuff w/the VAs) I have episodes 4-7 this time!!! (also pls take this with a grain of salt bc idk how much of this is canon according to Cybird)
Episode 4: It’s just Vincent and Sebas’s VAs!!
youtube
Morishi emphasizes that he’s a special guest, not a permanent part of the show, Makki says that there should prob be only one MC. They settle on Morishi being a guest-regular
ANYWAYS ONTO THE BATH SEGMENT
Vincent’s learning to sing the song Sebas taught Leo in episode 1 & 3 (for anyone curious, the original song is called Ii yu dana [いい湯だな] by the Drifters [ザドリフターズ] and it was a song the group sung at the end of their TV show/stage from the 70s–late 90s. Sebas knowing that song would mean he was alive during this time period)
Sebas hears him hum, Vincent is embarrassed, telling him to forget he ever saw him singing
During the day, Vincent saw Sebas cutting and sorting the gardens, to which Sebas references Nippon Mukashi Banashi (Folktales of Japan) where so many Japanese folktales start with a character cutting grass/weeds
Vincent recalls that Theo called MC “hondje” and “dog”, worries that she might be offended at those names
Sebas reassures him that MC has a strong spirit, and shouldn’t worry abt her much
Sebas comments that while Vincent and Theo are siblings, they have completely different personalities
Vincent answers that many people have stated this, wonders what he has to do to make others believe that they are brothers
Sebas has Vincent do impressions of Theo, starting w/Vincent calling Sebas “hondje” but Vincent just calls him “wanchan” (doggy/puppy) instead
Sebas makes a weird/loud noise, saying that that’s just an angel playing with a puppy (the part where Sebas loses his sanity. Actually he’s losing more of it as the episodes continue)
Vincent relents, quietly mumbling “hey, hondje” to Sebas
Sebas says he’s so close, just needs to be a bit more intimidating
Vincent repeats “hey, hondje” with more determination, Sebas replies “I have received Master Vincent’s ‘hey hondje!!!!’” (Sebas is crazy I swear)
Sebas pressures Vincent to say “I will make you my dog,” like Theo, to which Vincent questions if Theo has ever said that
Sebas quickly answers yes, forcing Vincent to say the phrase but worded more respectfully “I will make you my dog, okay?” (peer pressure is never okay, ESPECIALLY concerning Vincent)
Sebas is satisfied with the result, saying that the two brothers are really related
(I LEGIT DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WITH THIS EPISODE)
Sebas confesses that he just wants to see Vincent as a sadist and Vincent just sweat-drops
In this episode’s “Can you tell me… your name?” segment… (aka my fav part of the livestream—lol it’s not even the skit in the thermae)
Sebas’s chosen line was “I’ve boiled the pumpkin” (this was done during Halloween, that’s what’s with the pumpkin). There were a lot of food-related names, so Sebas would say “Cucumber, I’ve boiled the pumpkin” or “Miso soup, I’ve boiled the pumpkin” and many others (mushroom, pig, tomato, sweet potato, radish, shiitake, hanpen)
There was also one in which Morishi said “Aramaki, I’ve boiled the pumpkin” to which Makki replied “thank you,” and another with “Vincent, I’ve boiled the pumpkin”
Episode 5: feat. Theo’s VA Sato Hisanori & Earl Rose (ローズ伯爵)
youtube
First episode where there is video in the livestream (it was previously just audio)
(I love watching VAs play their roles so this episode is prob one of my favs)
Sato realizes what kind of crazy show this is when he has to say “konvampire” instead of “konbanwa” (good evening) as a greeting. I feel like every guest other than Tsuda has said this (at least implied) but Sato just straight up says this
Sato calls Makki “nii-san” (big brother) when they first greet each other, referencing their roles as Vincent and Theo (also, fun fact, the two VAs are born in the same month of the same year)
Sato asks the viewers who they like the most out of Vincent, Theo, and Sebas. The viewers overwhelm them with calls of “Vincent!!!”
Sato asks for them to stop, changing questions, asking the viewers who wears the best clothes out of three (Makki, Morishi, and Sato). The viewers still say Makki, though there are some saying Sato
Earl Rose is a guest for this episode. He is the lord (read: owner) of the vampire cafe in Ginza. (he’s basically here to promote the ikevamp collab w/his Vampire Cafe) Sato looks freaked out/uncomfortable by the earl. The three eat the collab foods and drinks provided (it looks pretty good tbh)
NOW ONTO THE “I LOVE YU” SEGMENT
Vincent sinks down to his shoulders in the waters, Theo can’t find him for a bit
Theo and Vincent enjoy spending time w/each other
Sebas can hold his breath underwater (in a hot bath) for 5 min. He did so to not interrupt the two brothers’ conversation (Sebas becoming more and more ooc)
Vincent stated that his previous record was 3 min 46 sec. Sebas said that “as a butler of this mansion, I shall keep on improving” (Theo doesn’t know what the heck is happening, but Vincent seems to be enjoying himself so he let’s go)
Vincent & Theo have never fought (as expected of such bros. Now that I’m rereading this I’m sure this is reinforced in various routes so maybe I don’t need this info)
Sebas (who tries to create some tea---figuratively) asks Vincent what he would do if his pancakes were covered by tons of syrup by Theo, to which Vincent replies “I will give those pancakes to Theo.”
Sebas switches over to Theo, asking him what he will do if Vincent steals his syrup before he can eat the pancakes. Theo answers “Easy. I’ll give the pancakes to my brother. It would mean that he wanted to eat pancakes so badly that he would steal the syrup”
There’s around 2-3 times where Theo almost gets angry at Sebas and Vincent has to stop him (pats his head and stuff)
Theo asks why Sebas is acting weird, to which Vincent believes its bc he’s working too hard, so they should help him out & fulfill his hopes/wishes
Sebas has a voice recorder??? Theo doesn’t know what it is
Theo doesn’t approve being recorded, but Sebas goes to Vincent for protection, who calms Theo
OK I don't talk about this segment much but for the first time since the episodes’ release, there was a tie in the votes in the drawing segment (van Gogh’s drawing section) between Morishi and Makki. Usually, they’ll give the best voted piece to a randomly selected winner w/the VA’s signature, but instead of giving out both pictures, they gave out Makki’s art piece (bc he’s van Gogh lol)
(they didn’t do the “Can you tell me…your name?” segment this episode, but this episode is legendary in my mind!!! So funny and entertaining)
Episode 6: No special guests!! Just Sebas and Vincent
youtube
Makki finally lets the viewers choose the official position of Morishi (guest, regular-guest, regular, or dyungyun). He’s officially the dyungyun (でゅんぎゅん) It’s an exclamatory phrase meaning exciting/heart-beating I think… I’ve been watching 6 episodes of the radio but I still don’t know what that phrase means exactly
Welcome to another episode of Sebas slowly losing his sanity! In today’s “I love yu” segment, Sebas makes his appearance by jumping into the baths!!!
Apparently Sebas has an urge to swim when he sees the large baths, and even is a first-class swimmer (スイミング一級) I think it’s a scale on how great he is at swimming, and it would mean he’s pretty good
Vincent has also seen him swim butterfly (idk if it's in the baths or in a pool but imagining Sebas swimming butterfly in the hot baths is amusing)
Vincent likes eating the motsunabe (もつ鍋), a type of hotpot that Sebas made
As an adult, Vincent spends his Christmas season painting, but as a child, he would spend time w/Theo baking cakes, decorating trees, or playing in the snow
One time, Theo cried when a snowball hit him in the face
The two decide to do yaminabe (闇鍋) w/the residents. It is when you darken the room, and anyone can put anything in the hot pot. Vincent’s curious what the others will decide to put in the hot pot.
They created a new segment in the show called “Vanmana Involuntary Awards 2017” (ヴァンなま勝手にアワード) where they review the year 2017 with things related to Ikevamp and the radio. The first award is the most popular phrase which ended up being voted as “dyungyun”. The second is deciding on the best artwork produced in the “van Gogh’s drawing section” with the winning piece being a drawing by Makki titled “A woman being kabedon’d by an Ikemen in a dark room” (yes that’s the title). The third is voting on what the viewers want ikevamp to do in the future (ex. Voice drama CDs, more livestreams, raiding Ikesen, etc.) with the winning choice being to raid Ikesen. And in turn, it is implied that Ikesen would raid Ikevamp. The last is asking the viewers if there has been any change (physically, mentally, emotionally) ever since they started watching the radio, with the most votes on the viewers being more interested in Morishin and Makki.
AND of course, my fav segment “Can you tell me… your name?” Vincent’s chosen line was very nice “Christmas? I don’t need anything. All I want is (y/n) alone.”
BUT Sebas’s chosen line is (drumroll please…) “(y/n), did you write your New Year’s greeting card?” and the first name he called out was “Santa-san, did you write your New Year’s greeting card?” AND I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING
Other names used were reindeer, postbox, and dyungyun (most were legit names tho)
They also did a third phrase where after saying (y/n), Sebas and Vincent will say a line, and I guess the staff felt bad for Sebas or smth bc he has legit lines in all of the available options. It was decided that Vincent would say “(y/n), I love you,” (大好きだよ) and Sebas would say “I love you” (愛していますよ) after Vincent (Both mean the same thing, just worded differently. Vincent's "Daisukidayo" would prob be closer to "I like you" meanwhile Sebas's "Aishitemasuyo" would be "I love you" if I were to be very specific)
I thought people would submit serious names (many did) but there were names like ice, carbonara, butter, napolitan (many varieties of pasta). There was also Rose and the two VAs were like “Earl Rose??? You watch this???"
Episode 7: feat. Comte’s VA Horie Kazuma
youtube
OMG Comte’s VA has such a sexy cool voice I can’t
So I didn’t know this, but you can talk to Vincent on Amazon Alexa?? I don’t have one so idk if it still works but apparently it’s called “Vincent’s time” (フィンセントの時間) and Vincent can tell you the time of day and you can talk to him and stuff??
Video showing Vincent's Time here part 1 part 2 part 3
It’s so funny how similar Horie is to Comte bc Makki and Morishin will be loud and talkative while Horie just watches over the scene like a parent
ANYWAYS for the thermae skit…
It’s rare for the others to meet Comte in the thermae since Comte baths at a later time than the others
The topic of today’s thermae episode is mainly about the construction they have in the baths (prob in another part of it??) Sebas came back running after looking at it, Comte and Sebas told Vincent not to worry about it (WHAT IS HAPPENING OVER THERE??? we'll never know...)
Vincent wants to paint scenes he’s never seen so he’d like to go out to various places
After living for so long, Comte said he’s starting to lose the concept on the importance of New Year’s and New Year’s resolutions (this episode was broadcast on Jan of 2018)
Vincent says that Comte’s like a father, to which he replies, “Haha, I’m not like a father. When you call me something as young as a ‘father,’ it makes me feel embarrassed. I’m probably way older than you two think I am”
Sebas replies, “Oh, of course. None of us know how old Comte actually is”
Comte continues, “It’s rude to ask a vampire their age. Besides, men like to keep their secrets hidden.” To which Sebas is like “As expected of le Comte. That is admirable.”
According to Sebas, Jean has a breast fetish?? Sebas apparently knows nothing else abt Jean other than that single fact
So… the “Can you tell me… your name?” is *chef’s kiss* amazing as usual
Comte’s line was “(y/n), I won’t let you go” and for one of the names, he said “Aramaki, I won’t let you go” & you can tell the staff were laughing.
So Sebas… his chosen line was “(y/n), isn’t this bed a bit hard?”
There was “Comte, isn’t this bed a bit hard?” and Horie replies “No,” in his Comte voice & it’s amazing. There’s also “Aramaki, isn’t this bed a bit hard?” and Makki replies “Yup.”
Other notable names include bed, obachan (Auntie), Morishima (yes the VA’s asking himself) and employee (店員さん)
Also Morishi does voice-percussion at the end of the stream and… I’ll just say it’s interesting :))
(Also the updates will prob be daily since I've watched & have the next couple parts written already. I just have to watch the last couple & write about it, which should be done soon)
#i feel like im gonna die of laughter before I finish this#ikevamp#ikemen vampire#ikevamp vincent#ikevamp sebastian#ikevamp theo#ikevamp comte#ikevamp radio#rough translation#lukka talks

National Spinach Day
It’s not just Popeye who will be strong to the finish on National Spinach Day. In fact, anyone who chooses to celebrate the day by consuming some of this leafy green plant will get to join in on the health benefits as well!
Packed with nutrients such as Iron, Vitamin A and Calcium, spinach is known for being a healthy part of a balanced diet – but do we eat enough of it?
Well, that’s what National Spinach Day is all about!
History of National Spinach Day
Originally from Persia (the area that is now Iran), spinach made its way to China in the 7th century, where the people referred to it as the Herb of Persia” or the “Persian Green”. The vegetable eventually ended up in Europe a few hundred years later, when it landed in Spain. In fact, for some time the English referred to spinach as “The Spanish Vegetable”. It didn’t make its way to being cultivated in North American until sometime in the early 1800s.
Possibly the most famous person in history to be associated with spinach is 16th-century noblewoman, Catherine de’ Medici, who ruled France from behind her three sons for many years. Originally from Florence, Italy, she moved to France when she married King Henry II. It is said that Catherine loved spinach and made sure her cooks served it at every meal. Because of this, even today, meals that are made with spinach are often known as “Florentine” in honor of the birthplace of Catherine de’ Medici.
This dark, leafy green vegetable that grows in groups that form a rosette-type shape is part of the “goosefoot” family, with its close relatives being Swiss chard and quinoa, as well as beets. Spinach has a few different varieties that offer different shapes and sizes of leaves.
Taking some time to celebrate National Spinach Day acts as a little nod to this tasty, healthy vegetable.
How to Celebrate National Spinach Day
While it might seem a little far-fetched to spend the day celebrating the wonders of spinach, it’s possible–and can even be a load of fun! People who want to celebrate National Spinach Day can employ a variety of ideas for ways to the day, it just takes a bit of creativity.
Consider giving these ideas a try or come up with other ideas of your own:
Try Creative Ways to Serve Spinach
Why not try a new recipe on National Spinach Day? Sauté it in olive oil and a little bit of garlic – or what about a baby spinach salad with mozzarella cheese, avocado slices, and crispy bacon crumbled on top? Delicious!
Other tasty ideas for meals that include spinach are:
Bacon, spinach, and gorgonzola pasta
Spinach, artichoke, zucchini dip (with pita bread or baguette)
Spinach spanakopita (a traditional Greek pastry dish)
Creamy spinach soup
Spinach lasagna (a vegetarian take on the traditional Italian dish)
Spinach pesto on flatbread pizza
Spinach quiche (also called Quiche Florentine)
Mushroom and spinach risotto
Some people like to purée spinach up and hide it in soups and pizza sauces for the finicky eaters in the family who may not prefer to eat it straight up.
So, no excuses – get your leafy greens down on National Spinach Day!
Learn About the Health Benefits of Spinach
Just like many vegetables, the healthiest way to serve and eat spinach is fresh and raw. However, even when it is cooked, it still remains one of the healthier vegetables. These are just some of the many nutritional benefits:
Fiber aids the digestive system
Vitamin A (carotene), for healthy organs and eyes
Iron helps with red blood cells and tissue health
Vitamin C, antioxidants, and a booster for the immune system
Folic Acid, useful in cell function and tissue growth
Calcium, essential for bone health
Antioxidants, help remove free radicals that cause oxidative damage
While spinach also has a small amount of natural sugars and carbohydrates, these are small in comparison to the myriad of other health benefits provided by this tasty veggie.
Try Growing Spinach in the Garden
Getting enough leafy greens in the diet is much easier for people who can grow their own! And, actually, spinach is not a particularly difficult one to grow. It’s an annual plant, meaning that it needs to be re-planted from seed each year, but it’s hardy and enjoys weather that is somewhat cool (but not cold).
National Spinach Day might be a bit too soon in the year to start a garden outdoors in many parts of the world. If this is the case, it’s simple to begin an indoor planting of spinach from seed and then move it outside when the weather permits. Spinach likes cool weather. So, as long as there is no risk of frost, the spinach plants should do fine outside in the spring.
As soon as the leaves are large enough to eat, the spinach is ready for harvest. It is healthiest when eaten as quickly as possible after harvesting. However, it can be stored, loosely packed, in a sealed plastic bag for several days. Don’t wash it ahead of time as it could get mushy. Simply wash it just prior to eating or cooking with it. It can also be frozen while it is still fresh.
Since it only takes about 6 weeks from the sowing of seeds to harvest time, it has a quick turnaround time. This means that it’s a great vegetable to grow in the spring as well as in the cooler autumn months so that there’s enough for the family to eat all throughout the growing season.
Take in Some ‘Popeye, the Sailor Man’
Some younger folks might not be familiar with the connection between Popeye and spinach. But those of a certain generation will possibly remember not only the Saturday morning cartoon but also the little jingle song that went along with it!
Going further back, even before it was an animated cartoon, more mature folks might remember that Popeye started out as a comic strip in the newspapers in the late 1920s. Eventually, decades later, a live-action film tribute was created in 1980, starring Robin Williams.
The theme of the character, Popeye, was that he was a rather average little sailor guy, with eerily large, tattooed forearms who smoked a pipe. And when he ate his spinach? Well, he would immediately gain superhuman strength and be able to punch the lights out of his arch-nemesis, Bluto, in order to help one of his friends who were in need. (Popeye and Bluto were constantly fighting over the affections of the tall, extremely skinny Olive Oyl.)
As it turns out, pop culture actually can have a positive influence on the world, proven by Popeye. After the character started eating spinach, children began asking for it and sales in the United States skyrocketed by one-third. That was quite a boost for the spinach industry–and the health of those children!

If a dish is described as "à la florentine", which vegetable is found in it?
The French term "à la Florentine", meaning "in the style of Florence", refers to dishes that typically include a base of cooked spinach. The term allegedly refers to Catherine de Medici of Florence, who married Henry II of France in 1533. She brought to France her love of Florentine-style dishes, which heavily featured spinach. Some historians claim this story is incorrect because Italian, and possibly Florentine, cuisine had already had an influence on the French long before Catherine's arrival.
As well as spinach, Florentine dishes usually contain Mornay sauce and an element of protein, such as chicken or eggs. Chicken Florentine became popular in the USA during the 1930s but the sauce was often replaced with mushroom soup.
Another Florentine-style dish is Sole Florentine, which the French chef Auguste Escoffier included in his 1903 recipe book 'Le guide culinaire' ('The Culinary Guide'). The recipe instructs the cook to poach the fish in butter and fish stock, cook the spinach in butter, cover the dish with Mornay sauce, and garnish it with grated cheese.

I favor the Dijon type mustard in many of the recipes as a outcome of it's milder, wine-based flavor. With a mix of tangy and candy, it’s a preferred dipping sauce, condiment, and salad dressing. I love to make this with a mixture of mushrooms, so I usually choose up some crimini, button and a few contemporary shiitakes. Operation Stumpy Re-Read
ACOK: Bran III (Chapter 21)
Rickon was to his right, his mop of shaggy auburn hair grown so long that it brushed his ermine mantle. He had refused to let anyone cut it since their mother had gone.
She sat on the bed and smoothed his long, fine hair. He does have pretty hair. Lady Lysa had brushed it herself every night, and cut it when it wanted cutting. After she had fallen Robert had suffered terrible shaking fits whenever anyone came near him with a blade, so Petyr had commanded that his hair be allowed to grow. - Alayne II, AFFC
Rickon and Sweetrobin parallels fill me with dread.
+.+
Such food Bran had never seen; course after course after course, so much that he could not manage more than a bite or two of each dish. There were great joints of aurochs roasted with leeks, venison pies chunky with carrots, bacon, and mushrooms, mutton chops sauced in honey and cloves, savory duck, peppered boar, goose, skewers of pigeon and capon, beef-and-barley stew, cold fruit soup. Lord Wyman had brought twenty casks of fish from White Harbor packed in salt and seaweed; whitefish and winkles, crabs and mussels, clams, herring, cod, salmon, lobster and lampreys. There was black bread and honeycakes and oaten biscuits; there were turnips and pease and beets, beans and squash and huge red onions; there were baked apples and berry tarts and pears poached in strongwine. Wheels of white cheese were set at every table, above and below the salt, and flagons of hot spice wine and chilled autumn ale were passed up and down the tables.
Extravagance like this during war, with winter coming, is no more justifiable than when Lannisters do it.
+.+
The singer sang good songs, "Iron Lances" and "The Burning of the Ships" and "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," but only Hodor seemed to be listening. He stood beside the piper, hopping from one foot to the other.
The Burning of the Ships? Battle of the Blackwater.
The Bear and the Maiden Fair? A maid with honey in her hair, who calls for a knight, but to her horror gets a bear? She kicks and wails, but he licks her hair? Gosh, I don’t know.
Iron Lances? Are we staying with the theme of Blackwater, or is this Greyjoy?
+.+
Bran had not wanted the Freys at the high table, but the maester reminded him that they would soon be kin. Robb was to marry one of their aunts, and Arya one of their uncles. "She never will," Bran said, "not Arya,"
You’re only her sibling, how well could you really know her?
+.+
He sent sweets to Hodor and Old Nan as well, for no reason but he loved them.
+.+
He watched them as from a distance, as if he still sat in the window of his bedchamber, looking down on the yard below, seeing everything yet a part of nothing.
Bran can see everything, but can’t engage.
+.+
Bran watched Farlen make his red bitch beg for bones and smiled at Old Nan plucking at the crust of a hot pie with wrinkled fingers.
What is this? Is this something?
+.+
Alebelly led two new guests into the feast. "The Lady Meera of House Reed," the rotund guardsman bellowed over the clamor. "With her brother, Jojen, of Greywater Watch."
The Lady Meera has top billing over the heir to Greywater Watch.
I smell future!
+.+
Her brother was several years younger and bore no weapons. All his garb was green, even to the leather of his boots, and when he came closer Bran saw that his eyes were the color of moss
Like a GREENseer?
Where else are you going to find literary analysis as good as this?
+.+
"My lords of Stark," the girl said. "The years have passed in their hundreds and their thousands since my folk first swore their fealty to the King in the North. My lord father has sent us here to say the words again, for all our people."
Okay but why is Howland Reed sending his children to go chill with Bran indefinitely? Why is Howland Reed not participating in the war? Does Howland Reed know things? Can Howland Reed see things? Give us Howland Reed!
Theon was about to tell him what he ought to do with his wet nurse's fable when Maester Luwin spoke up. "The histories say the crannogmen grew close to the children of the forest in the days when the greenseers tried to bring the hammer of the waters down upon the Neck. It may be that they have secret knowledge." - Theon IV, ACOK
+.+
"To Winterfell we pledge the faith of Greywater," they said together. "Hearth and heart and harvest we yield up to you, my lord. Our swords and spears and arrows are yours to command. Grant mercy to our weak, help to our helpless, and justice to all, and we shall never fail you."
"I swear it by earth and water," said the boy in green.
"I swear it by bronze and iron," his sister said.
"We swear it by ice and fire," they finished together.
Sounds like something you might say after you agree to a pact.
+.+
The girl caught him staring at her and smiled. Bran blushed and looked away.
+.+
When the singer reached the part in "The Night That Ended" where the Night's Watch rode forth to meet the Others in the Battle for the Dawn, he blew a blast that set all the dogs to barking.
He lost me with that last part.
+.+
They went out the rear rather than walk the length of the hall, Bran ducking his head as they passed through the lord's door.
We get it, George.
+.+
In the dim-lit gallery outside the Great Hall, they came upon Joseth the master of horse engaged in a different sort of riding. He had some woman Bran did not know shoved up against the wall, her skirts around her waist.
Amazed this didn’t trigger his post-traumatic stress disorder.
+.+
"The finest knight I ever saw was Ser Arthur Dayne, who fought with a blade called Dawn, forged from the heart of a fallen star. They called him the Sword of the Morning, and he would have killed me but for Howland Reed." Father had gotten sad then, and he would say no more. Bran wished he had asked him what he meant.
I’m sure you’ll find out.
+.+
"They will be bigger still before they are grown," the young male said, watching them with eyes large, green, and unafraid. "The black one is full of fear and rage, but the grey is strong . . . stronger than he knows . . . can you feel him, sister?"
"No," she said, moving a hand to the hilt of the long brown knife she wore. "Go careful, Jojen."
"He won't hurt me. This is not the day I die."
Guys, I’m so happy the Reeds are here! 🥰
Final thoughts:
Has anyone ever noticed there’s a lot of sex in Bran’s chapters? Contemplating sex, talking about sex, witnessing sex...
Imagine that creepy scene on the show wasn’t a stretch, and Bran spies on one or two of his siblings?

Here are some random thoughts of mine about Pevensies and Golden Age (Part II):
• When High King Peter is sad, it starts raining because deep down, he misses the rainy weather of England.
• However when King Edmund is sad, it stars to snow, even if it is the middle of the summer.
• Queen Lucy's dresses change colors according to the place she is in. Sometimes her dresses camouflage her when there is danger.
• When Queen Susan is angry at someone, people are so scared of her. Even her siblings are scared of her. There are times when people question why she is called ‘The Gentle’ although she is so scary.
• High King Peter's body can heal itself sometimes, not the big wounds though.
• When King Edmund is angry, the place he is in starts smelling like bonfire.
• Queen Lucy knows all of the types of trees, vegetables, mushrooms and fruits.
• Even though he knows the wolves are under control now, High King Peter is secretly scared of them. And when they come to Cair Paravel, he never leaves his sisters and the wolves alone in the same place. He is always alarmed and ready to fight when the wolves are there.
• When she wants to, Queen Susan can beat most of the knights in duel. She prefers not to because she doesn't like to fight unless it is necessary.
• Queen Susan knows how to bind a book. And many of the books in Narnia library are binded by her.
• Queen Lucy can draw and she paints the walls of Cair Paravel. She makes her own paints.
• King Edmund loves to be in the kitchen. He spends time with the cookers and the maidens. Everybody in the kitchen loves him. He helps them cooking and cleaning. He also can cook very delicious soups.
• Everyone thinks High King Peter is only about being a king and a warrior. However he loves to read; there is always a book on his night table. Also, he sometimes write poems.
• When the siblings have a big and serious fight, most of the Narnians feel pain in their bodies. They have headaches, stomach aches, knee pain and etc.
• King Edmund doesn't want to share his magical powers with his brother at first, he doesn't know why but he is somehow scared of his brother's reaction. When he finally shows that he is able to do magic to his brother, High King Peter feels so happy, starts to laugh and congratulates his brother, even hugs him. He is happy because his brother shares something with him, he can protect himself even better now and doing magic is something special and he is so glad that his brother has such power.
• When Queens touch a dying plant, the plant starts blooming.
• If Kings and Queens are together and having good time, Narnia is brighter. It is almost as bright as when Aslan is there.
• High King Peter does his sisters' hair most of the time. He is very talented at braiding their hairs. Sometimes he puts flowers and diamonds to their hairs.
• Kings always help each other putting on their armours.
• When High King Peter and King Edmund are back to back in a battle, there are probably no survivers in their surrounding.
• Everyone underestimates Queen Lucy however she is actually very deadly because High King Peter trains her so hard so that she can protect herself and be safe. She also can use arrow and bow thanks to her sister. She learnt sword-fighting with two hands from King Edmund.
• Queen Lucy can lift very heavy things.
• The siblings are not very talented singers when they sing individually, but when they sing together during celebrations, they sound pretty good and at some point, everyone else stops singing to hear them. They just laugh, have fun and sing loudly but somehow it sounds so beautiful.
• In the battlefield, Queen Lucy always protects High King Peter because she knows her brother will always manage to get seriously injured, so she does her best to protect him.
• Similarly, King Edmund protects Queen Lucy because just like her brother High King, Queen Lucy can get injured as she doesn't care about being hurt, she just wants to succeed.
• King Edmund and Queen Susan doesn't need that much protection because they know how not to get hurt.
• But Everyone knows Queen Susan is the one to protect all of her siblings with the arrows she throws from very far away.
oh wow here is part two. i hope you like it! please tell me what u think. sorry if there is anything wrong in grammar. love u! ♡

I have two things for this post!
The first being, both my boyfriend and I are looking for penpals!
He is interested in finding people who are history buffs, likes collecting knives, and possibly even someone who is specifically interesting in the WW I & II time period. I'm sure he'll write anyone though, he really likes to have penpals!
The second thing is, does anyone have any good soup recipes? I'm looking for some mushroom soups, but I'll take any recipe because I love soup. ❤

Sunny Presley Baudelaire [AKA Sunshine]
The youngest of the Baudelaire Siblings at 3, Sunny is an ingenious chef. Her interests include cooking and baking, cute video games, keeping people the FUCK out of her kitchen, and keeping her teeth sharp.
Little Beatrice II is only a couple of years under her, making Sunny the certified Big Sister™ of little Bea. Sunny loves her older sister Violet, but seeing as how she can’t cook or bake worth a damn, she’s banned indefinitely from Sunny’s kitchen. And yes, the Baudelaire-Snicket apartment kitchen is her kitchen, no arguments. There’s even a list on the wall of who’s banned from it, and why.
Lemony looked at a certain list that had been tacked to the wall earlier that morning and sighed. It read as such:
“~BANNED From Sunny’s Kitchen~ Violet: Exploding spaghetti . Klaus: The hot chocolate incident. Duncan: Boiling water is not that hard. Fiona: A waste of good mushrooms. They all burnt. I hope you still feel bad. Isadora: The microwave shouldn't be able to do that. Quigley: Aided violet. Carmelita: The fucking cookies. Friday: We don't put sand in soup.”
Sunny walked past the man, and he looked down at her,
“Did Jacquelyn help you with this list?”
The youngest Baudelaire nodded, “I can’t spell some words, yet.” She smiled.

Arianne Martell & Quentyn Martell, happier moments.
A Great Unrest
His death was a mishap, almost certainly, and it is written that Prince Maekar always bitterly regretted Baelor’s passing and marked its anniversary every year. (The World of Ice and Fire)
Maekar Targaryen marking the twelfth anniversary of his brother’s death, during the first year of his reign.
The Picture
Laena Velaryon, Laenor Velaryon, and a gift for their parents’ tenth wedding anniversary.
Remember Me (Chapter 3)
Mothers, daughters, and the words said and unsaid.
Chapter 3: Mellario of Norvos & Arianne Martell
Loren of the Rock
He was Loren the First and then Loren the Last, and in between, he fought the Targaryens and lived to tell the tale, a fate he sometimes considered to be worse than death.
The Son
And Addam Velaryon, lately Addam of Hull, sought out the Sea Snake after the battle; what they spoke to each other even Mushroom does not say. (Fire & Blood)
What was said and not said between Addam Velaryon and Corlys Velaryon after the Battle in the Gullet.
Unbetrothed
Lady Elissa had been twice betrothed, once at twelve and once at sixteen, but she had frightened off both boys, as her own father admitted ruefully. (Fire & Blood)
The two broken betrothals of Lady Elissa.
Or, how Elissa Farman frightened off her betrothed, not once but twice.
The Knighting
“Aegon is to return to my castle at Summerhall. There is a place there for you, if you wish. A knight of my household. You’ll swear your sword to me, and Aegon can squire for you.” […] “I will take your son as squire, Your Grace, but not at Summerhall. Not for a year or two.” (The Hedge Knight)
Duncan the Tall requesting a boon from Maekar Targaryen before swearing his sword as a knight of the prince’s household.
Onion Soup
[Stannis] sat at the high table as a dish of onion soup cooled before him, hardly tasted, staring at the flame of the nearest candle with those hooded eyes, ignoring the talk around him. (A Dance with Dragons)
Stannis, Davos and onion soup.
Nameday Wish
She remembered Ser Willem dimly, a great grey bear of a man, half-blind, roaring and bellowing orders from his sickbed. The servants had lived in terror of him, but he had always been kind to Dany. He called her “Little Princess” and sometimes “My Lady,” and his hands were soft as old leather. (A Game of Thrones)
Daenerys Targaryen, Willem Darry and a nameday wish.
Riverlings
Nonetheless, during all those years of Catelyn’s girlhood, it had been Brynden the Blackfish to whom Lord Hoster’s children had run with their tears and their tales, when Father was too busy and Mother too ill. Catelyn, Lysa, Edmure … and yes, even Petyr Baelish, their father’s ward … he had listened to them all patiently, as he listened now, laughing at their triumphs and sympathizing with their childish misfortunes. (A Game of Thrones)
The first time Catelyn ran to her uncle with her tears and her tales.
and they shall know you by your ghosts
When Alysanne asked if she would return to Greenstone, Rhaena shook her head. “There’s a ghost there as well. A kinder ghost, but no less sad.” (Fire & Blood)
It wasn’t so much that love ended. It was more the fact that it remained mired in the past. The ghost of how easy they used to be with another stalked them every step of the way, on this small island Larissa had made her new home.
The Banker
The Hightowers had not entrusted so much as a groat of their gold to the Lyseni, and thus remained one of the wealthiest houses in all Westeros, second mayhaps only to the Lannisters of Casterly Rock, and Lady Sam wished to learn how to put that gold to better use. Thus was born the Bank of Oldtown, which has made House Hightower richer still. (Fire & Blood)
Samantha Tarly and the founding of the Bank of Oldtown.
The Cold Light of Day
And yet it was to Archmaester Vaegon that the Old King turned now, summoning his last son to King’s Landing. What passed between them remains a matter of dispute. Some say the king offered Vaegon the throne and was refused. Others assert that he only sought his counsel. (Fire & Blood)

Clever Wives
Lord Redwyne was incredulous. “The Tyrells are dolts,” he said. “I am sorry, Your Grace, they are my liege lords, but … the Tyrells are dolts, and Lord Bertrand was a sot as well.” (Fire & Blood)
The Tyrells were dolts, it was sometimes alleged, but they had a knack for marrying clever wives.

National Spinach Day
This leafy green is packed with nutrients to boost your health and energy. Add it to your meals for a tasty and nutritious boost!
History of National Spinach Day
Originally from Persia (the area that is now Iran), spinach made its way to China in the 7th century, where the people referred to it as the “Herb of Persia” or the “Persian Green”.
