Hazbin Hotel Ep1 Rewrite
Okay, let’s get the shit I like first out of the way. Animation? Beautiful. Art style? Iconic. Music? Pops off.
Okay, now the fun part…
First let me just say, I adore biblical lore. So when I see something changed from the og lore, where I think the og was more interesting, I cannot let it go.
(I’m gonna focus on the Charlie storyline in the episode)
1. The Backstory
Let’s start with the first scene, the backstory of Lucifer and Lilith. In the show, they got some of the timeline and motivations wrong. I understand that the story is sugar coated, but hear me out.
“Once upon a time, there was a dazzling kingdom protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. Home to beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and lived in peace and harmony under the rule of God. The most beautiful of the Angels was Lucifer. He was a dreamer, with fantastical ideas for all creation. But he was restricted by God and the elders of Heaven, for they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world.
Outraged by this injustice, Lucifer gathered an army of Angels, and declared war on the kingdom of Heaven. The battle raged on for centuries, but in the end, Heaven reigned victorious. As punishment for their betrayal, Lucifer and his army were cast out of Heaven. Banished to a crumbling wasteland, where the light of God could not reach. But Lucifer would not wallow in failure. From the barren landscape he rose a beautiful golden palace, crowned himself king and crafted a plan to share his freedom with God’s newest creation. Humanity.”
(I like to imagine that when Lucifer and his army fell, their wings burned up, leaving scattered feathers everywhere. In order to fly to Eden, Lucifer gathered these burned feathers and turned them into a new pair of wings for himself. They were black, messy, and trailed billowing smoke, but they could fly.)
Now for the Lilith part of the story. The more popular interpretation of her is that she is the first wife of Adam, but there is another version too, one where she is Adam’s second Wife after Eve. I personally prefer the latter because I can’t see anyone sinning or getting cast out of Edan before Eve eats the apple.
“He approached the garden of Edan in disguise, and offered the forbidden fruit of knowledge to the mother of humanity, Eve, who gladly accepted. But with the gift of knowledge and freedom, came a terrible curse. Evil bleed into the earth, and humanity was infected by darkness and sin.
For her disobedience Eve was cast out of Edan, to the dismay of her love, Adam. To appease him, the Angels crafted him a new bride, Lilith. Lilith was beautiful, with a voice so enchanting even Lucifer was mesmerized, but she was strong willed and refused to be subservient to her new husband. She fled from the garden, and rather than chase her, Adam found the tree of knowledge and bit into the forbidden fruit, so he could follow his true love, and be with her once more.
Lilith wandered, lost and alone, until she was found by Lucifer. Enamored by her beauty and iron will, he gave her his heart and made her his queen.”
Then you have the bit about Lucifer becoming depressed while Lilith thrived in Hell. I hate this! I was looking forward to a demonic Mortica and Gomez, not another Stolas and Stella. Plus, I’ve never been a fan of uwu sad misunderstood Lucifer. He is a complex character, but too often he’s over simplified by people who read Paradise Lost in high school and misinterpreted Lucifer as a tragic anti hero who was treated unfairly by the evil Angels. Lucifer can be tragic, even sympathetic. He can be fun and a caring father. But don’t forget that he is king of Hell. He is the prince of pride. He has an ego the size of east Texas and waged war against God himself.
And let’s not forget that in the show he is the head honcho over a strict cast system that encourages violence, allows the worst of the worst to take power, and leaves the hellborn races at the bottom at a severe disadvantage.
In this rewrite, Lucifer and Lilith essentially switch places, except Lilith isn’t a pathetic push over, she’s an incredibly famous rockstar, who’s always busy and not around often, but still has a bigger role in her daughter’s life than her husband, who’s been mia doing king shit.
And the last thing we hear about in the intro monologue is that the exterminations happens to prevent Hell from rising against them, which while that may be the case, don’t have Charlie say it!!! That realization for her would make the entire hotel superfluous! Charlie has to think that the problem truly is overpopulation.
2. Meeting with Adam
Let’s start with Adam himself. I hate this character. Especially as an adaptation of Adam. Yes, Adam is misogynistic. He expected Lilith to be subservient to him, but he wouldn’t be the frat boy type of misogynist, he’d be the old school chivalrous type. Grandpa style sexism. And shouldn’t the father of humanity care about his descendants? It doesn’t make any sense for him to be an executioner. He should be the leader of the guardian Angels or something.
In this rewrite, Adam is not the leader of the executioners, instead it’s the Angel Dumah. Dumah is the angel over the wicked dead, and he was appointed by God to torment sinners in Hell.
I want him to be an actual intimidating antagonist. He rarely speaks (his name means “silence”) and has many eyes (is described as having a thousand eyes)
As for the exorcists, they are Angels, but not actual dead humans wearing mask. They just look like that. Dumah is described as having tens of thousands of Angels of Destruction at his disposal. That’s what the exorcists are going to be, but instead of thousands, I’ll give him five. They don’t speak and are hardly sentient. They stand on top of the tower like gargoyles, until they “come to life” for the execution.
“But it’s a comedy! Shouldn’t they be funny?” No. It’s all about how characters react to them. The Litch in Adventure Time is a good example of this.
So obviously the meeting goes a lot differently.
Charlie gets a call, looks at the number, and excitedly tells everyone to, “shooooosh!” She takes the call nervously, saying, “yeah! Okay! Yes! Of course! I’ll be right there! Thank you SOOO much!!!” She hangs up and happily tells Vaggie that Dumah requested a meeting with her. Vaggie is nervous and says she should probably go with her, but Charlie says that she’ll be fine and tells her to stay and work on the commercial. She leaves excited that the Angels may finally be taking her seriously.
She makes it to the clock tower’s board room, where Dumah sits silently at the end of the table. Charlie nervously starts to greet him before she realizes they’re not alone. The Angels, Gabriel and Uriel have come from Heaven, for a meeting with Hell’s princess.
Uriel remains professional, politely bowing her head as she greeted Charlie. Gabriel on the other hand, threw his arms out, happily yelling, “Charlotte!!!” He wrapped her in an uncomfortably tight and awkward hug, saying how much she’s grown since he last saw her. He’s like a chill but estranged uncle meeting his now adult niece who he hasn’t seen since she was a baby and has no memory of him whatsoever.
Uriel watches the whole thing in embarrassment. She tells Charlie that Dumah had contacted them, regarding some, “interesting,” ideas about the extermination.
Charlie starts with her pitch, but Gabriel insists that they should take some time to catch up first. He claps his hands and summons plates of food for everyone. When we cut back to them, Gabriel is in the middle of telling the story about almost getting his ass kicked by Joseph when he told him his virgin wife was pregnant.
Uriel cuts him off, saying she doesn’t need to hear this story for the eighth millionth time. She turns to Charlie, exasperated, and tells her to get on with the pitch.
Charlie says that she has a potential solution for the over population problem in Hell. Uriel, Gabriel, and Dumah look at her blankly. Gabriel asks, “overpopulation?”
Charlie goes on to explain that she knows overpopulation is a big problem, but 275 sinners were executed this year alone and she just can’t stand to watch her people be slaughtered anymore.
Uriel asks if she’s suggesting an alternative, and Charlie very excitedly pitches her idea for the hotel. Uriel and Gabriel wear a matching “wtf” face and look back and forth at eachother like, “does this girl know what she’s suggesting?”
As Charlie is finishing, Uriel is visibly annoyed. She interrupts Charlie, complaining that this is ridiculous and has all been a massive waste of time as she stands up to leave. Charlie tries to stop her, saying, “please, you don’t understand.”
Uriel snaps back, “no, you don’t understand! They had their chance in life and they earned damnation.”
Charlie responds, “you're wrong. Sinners made mistakes, sure, but everyone makes mistakes.”
Uriel pinches the bridge of her nose (or where a nose would be on a person) “a mistake happens once. It’s an accident, an error in judgment due to naivety. Of course mistakes can be forgiven, but we’re not talking about mistakes, are we? These sinners had a choice, and they chose to live in sin.”
“A choice they now regret!” Charlie defends.
“It takes a lot more than regret to be forgiven.” Uriel says coldly. “It takes remorse.”
Gabriel chimes in, “she has a point, Charlie. It’s easy to make someone regret their actions, but to have them feel true selfless remorse, that is much more difficult.”
Charlie furrows her brow and starts to look defeated.
“But perhaps not impossible.”
Charlie beams with excitement. Gabriel explains that this is a big decision, too big to be made right now, but if she can successfully redeem one demon, they will allow her to come to heaven and pitch her idea to the entire Angelic court. Uriel tries to argue, but Gabriel just says they’ll discuss it later. Charlie gives him a tight hug before he and Uriel disappear.
As she turns to leave, Dumah puts his hand on her shoulder. This is the first time he’s moved in the entire scene. He stares at her coldly and says, “the only reason you’re here is your father has spared you from the executioner’s blade. If I had my way. Each and every one of you would be slaughtered.”
Charlie stares up at him. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
For context, part of the reason Gabriel and Uriel were initially confused by Charlie’s proposal is because they know that Lucifer is trying to keep Hell’s population as high as possible, in preparation for the second war with heaven. That’s why he and the other princes of hell work to manipulate humanity and temp them towards sin (i.e. succubi and incubi). That’s why he arranges marriages between powerful demons to make powerful demon children (i.e. Stolas and Stella). He needs as many demons possible for his army if he’s gonna have a chance at winning. So obviously, sending sinners to heaven, aka the opposing force, is the LAST thing Lucifer would want.

Actually DNI with me if you headcannon/believe Lukas is a cutesy twink or is an overly skinny guy
To be clear I’m not targeting anyone or pointing fingers, this has been an issue since the fandom practically started and I don’t really see anyone touch on it. I’m really tired of seeing the “uwu twink” stereotype for Lukas in the community and it’s unfortunate that it’s been around for so long.
Lukas uses a bow as his main weapon, I don’t know if any of yall have drawn back a bow but coming from someone who has: you need a lot of upper body strength. The tension of the bow bending is very strong when pulling back an arrow, and even HOLDING that draw is straining to the arms. Strong muscles in the back, arms, shoulders, and core are key to bending a bow back with ease.
Of course, the amount of strength depends on the amount of draw weight you have on your bow. Draw weight is the amount of force you need to draw back your string to the anchor position. “Why would you need draw weight” You ask? Draw weight affects the speed, accuracy, and overall power of the bow. Too much weight can make you tired or fatigued, too LITTLE weight could make your arrow strength dwindle
Now apply it to Lukas’ bow performance: especially seen in season 2, he is shown to not only draw it back on the regular, but have accurate, strong, and fast shots; able to pierce into the Prismarine Colossal in episode one of season two.
More examples of his strength come from episode 7 of season 1, where you have the choice to either save Lukas or Petra from being chipped. If you leave Petra to be chipped, she comes back at the end and puts up a pretty good fight with Jesse. This exact fight happens if you leave Lukas to be chipped, and doesn’t change in difficulty. Harper even says “your friend looks pretty tough” to both characters. Now if Lukas doesn’t know his full strength or willingly refuses to use it full power is up for debate, but either way he puts up just as good of a fight as Petra does in that episode.
Now I’m not saying to draw/hc him buff asf, but either way he still is a strong character and a lot of people in the community take it for granted or sweep it under the rug.
The mentality people also headcannon onto Lukas is absurd too, sure he’s not a stone cold bastard but he isn’t a do no harm cinnamon roll people like to call him as either.
“he was scared and froze up a lot in the witherstorm episodes!!” I think most of us would piss ourselves if a giant world eating monster was chasing us.
Sometimes it’s as if people make him out to be like nerd from the boyfriend’s comics with how stereotypical they make Lukas. No it’s not a problem to make him queer, what is a problem is feeding into the stereotype that borderline infantilizes a lot of men in the lgbt community just because they aren’t buff or overly masculine.
Lukas is not a knight in shining armor, but he’s not a scared, lost puppy either. He’s a man who enjoys literature and is a “do no harm but take no crap” kind of guy. His character has grown over the episodes and it’s really sad to see people misinterpret characters like him (looking at you radar infantilizers)
Again, not pointing fingers, this is a problem that’s been around for years and I’m getting real tired of seeing the jesskas ship like this

You should write beast wars, can I have some silly predacon headcanons?
I should absolutely write beast wars. Silly Predacon headcanons coming up
-Megatron talks battle strategy with his rubber duck all the time. He considers it his most trusted advisor because it's never said anything stupid and never tried to kill him. Honestly, he's tempted to think of the little dude as his only real friend.
-Speaking of Megatron, the man is a WHORE for a good bath bomb. Lush addiction, 100%. He has a whole hidden stock of bath bombs, bath salts, scented oils, candles, decorative soaps, scented metal polish and flower petals specifically for spoiling himself when he feels like hes completely surrounded by idiots. Which is often. Has he ever tried to eat one of the decorative soaps that look like baked goods? It doesn't count if it's the t rex hand.
-the reason skorponok occasionally reverts into caveman speak for some episodes is the writers couldn't figure out what to do with him he knows talking like that pisses off tarantulas and he thinks his annoyance is funny even though literally nobody else is amused by the bit.
-skorponok actually kind of misses dinobot because he made his job a lot easier. Constantly pitching ideas, suggesting battle strategies, pointing out flaws in plans. He was useful, even if he seemed to hate skorponok. He doesn't really know how to be a good second in command anymore because a crucial part of the dynamic is missing and he just can't adapt.
-waspinator is perfectly capable of speaking in normal grammar and not in the third person but he's been doing it since he joined in with Megatron and at this point he thinks he's in too deep to knock it off. He thinks it makes him sound cuter because it's actually an evolution of internet uwu speak. Memes get weirdly translated from earth to Cybertron and back.
-waspinator is actually really good at baking but he'll get blasted to bits a thousand times over before he lets anyone other than terrorsaur know because none of his other coworkers deserve to try his cupcakes (and also because he doesn't want to get "promoted" to kitchen slave). Dinobot knew, but he didn't snitch. Wasp never found out that Dinobot would occasionally snag a brownie, he always thought he just counted wrong.
-Terrorsaur is not above attempting to seduce a maximal but all his flirting attempts go horribly awry. If they don't outright reject him they just have no idea what he's getting at bc Predacon flirting is usually a lot different than maximal flirting so everyone thinks he's just kind of being a dick like usual. Dinobot knows exactly what is happening and ranges anywhere from amused to disgusted by the cross-faction fling attempts. The flying weasel clearly has no principles.
-Every couple weeks or so wasp and terrorsaur will get together to watch terrible movies over a bottle of highgrade and it always devolves into bitching about megatron. They tried inviting tarantulas a few times but he'd always make things Weird by bringing in slashers with really good special effects and proceeding to gush about how tasty the gore looks.
-Tarantulas knows what just about every living species in the known galaxy tastes like, organic, mechanical and everything in between. If it's made contact with Cybertron, chances are he's he's tried their flesh (or lack thereof). If it's at all possible, he wants to find out enough about the Vok to figure out how to capture, kill and eat one.
-Tarantulas also thinks rampage is a total poser when it comes to cannibalism. He doesn't even look like he's having fun with it. Barely any torturing or teasing beforehand, only dramatic monologues about fear and anguish. Bah! Amateur...
-Blackarachnia has a trash tv addiction. She doesn't know WHY the Darksyde's datatrax has every season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and like 30 TLC produced shows, but she refuses to stop watching them. Tarantulas fucking hates it. She does not care and if he complains she will turn the volume higher.
-Blackarachnia has incredibly mixed feelings on the story Cinderella. On the one hand, it gives her a degree of hope. A girl reduced to a work slave for terrible people that gets to escape and live it up with a guy that lives her? Great conceptually, but she only got to get out of it because she was a good person and nice to everyone. Blackarachnia? Not quite so disgustingly sweet. She's a bad girl through and through. And evidently bad people don't get to escape bad situations. Oh well. She can always try to fake it til she makes it.
-Inferno has always secretly hoped that when the war is over, his Queen Megatron will settle down with him and repopulate the colony together. He has wildly saccharine domestic daydreams of being with his giant beloved lizardy queen and their 3000+ kids. He has accidentally let this slip around Megatron once, who proceeded to pointedly ignore what he just said.
-Terrorsaur and Blackarachnia got Inferno to watch Drag Race but upon hearing the contestants being called queen, he took it a bit too literally and interpreted the show as the sad, underwhelming way human queens settle disputes between their colonies instead of just fighting the proper way. Lame.
-Quickstrike is so so very sad he can't play video games. He wants to play GTA and cause excessive and wanton death and destruction, but his fucked up hands cannot hold the controller. He forsakes Primus for building him the way he did. He keeps trying to get tarantulas to make him a usable controller but he gets brushed off every time.
-Quickstrike has attempted to ride inferno in his beast mode into battle. It did not end well but for about a solid 18 seconds it looked metal as hell.
-Rampage actually really likes depth charge and wants to be friends sooooo bad but he doesn't know how to handle that in a healthy way so he keeps trying to get his attention by playing up the cannibalism thing and hoping they fight again. Honestly he just kind of likes depth charge holding him, even if it's in a chokehold.
-After losing transmutate, Rampage projected a lot of his grief onto waspinator, which lead to a very strange period of time on the ship where rampage would get very cuddly and protective of wasp, who was incredibly terrified of what would happen if he shoved the crab off. Usually accompanied by Rampage being Incredibly Sad.
-every month the preds have a game night. Usually a board game or card game with Megatron's house rules. Said house rules are specifically designed to make a fight break out for his amusement. These game nights typically end with at least three people in the r-chamber and somebody missing at least one limb.

Talk of spoilers (and that one big spoiler scene I posted) below!!!
Okay I'm calling this now and I hope I won't be wrong lmao, but now we know that there's a plot about Beej's ex-wife coveting his soul for her own immortality, I will be damned if that isn't followed up by Lydia saving him (esp as it seems her own fiancee is going to turn out to have been using her the whole time as well, which Beej will help her find out). Like idk maybe that's why he gets comically inflated, he refuses to let Dolores own him anymore and so she makes to, like, perma-kill him but Lydia's like no, actually, you don't get to say what happens to his soul anymore because he's MY husband now and something about this actually finalizes the new marriage and saves him. By making his ex-marriage about his SOUL of all things and how Dolores uses it to steal his for her own ends, I think that definitely implies and opens the possibility to Lydia willingly saving him/his soul with their marriage as he does her (and his new family uwu) and that also implies they'll have built a bond/rapport enough to that point to warrant it!!!! Do yall see what I'm saying? Do you get the vision?? Tim Burton is going to EAT and leave no crumbs with this comical gothic love story, I fear

It’s 10 am, I haven’t slept, and I can’t stop thinking about what Sal and Larry’s favorite pizza would be. I think my obsession with this game has gone too far lmao
>sdlfjka welcome to the club anon! The obsession is Real but we like it that way UwU 👌👌👌
>I hc that Sal is one of those people that is capable of eating just about any food that he's served (strong stomach, high pain/discomfort tolerance, lived off hospital food for years, will inconvenience himself and lie through however many teeth he's got to spare the feelings of others), but he prefers mild flavors and soft textures. He'll eat whatever pizza you get (as long as it appears edible), but is a basic 'pepperoni/ plain cheese' bitch at heart.
>Larry, on the other hand, canonically has a weak stomach and grew up eating his moms home-cooked meals. So, I think he's a little picky with his toppings, but won't shy away from some complex combos if they appeal to him. I could see him demolishing a large meat-lovers with extra cheese by himself (especially if he's been taking bong rips between slices), but he'll audibly gag and refuse to touch the entire pie if he finds one(1) olive on there. (The 'contaminated' pizza would then be pawned off on Sal or Chug, because Lisa would kill him if she ever found out he wasted that much food.)

And I agree with most things you said...It's true that this mentality—of taking what is owed to you, refusing to back down, and unleashing annihilation on all who oppose you—"seems" absent. But I’d argue that this is just Rhaenyra. She was supposed to be emotionally and physically compromised, but the show turned her into this “boss girl” who bounces back in a way that feels inhuman. Grieving is for the weak, and she is not that 🙄. What the show did was take her drive for revenge and made her useless. Honestly, it would have been amazing if she had gone full "burn them, burn them all" mode! Her desire for vengeance is downgraded in favor of a restrained version of leadership, and I hate that for her. Still, even with all the downgrades they did, Rhaenyra embodies a blend of self-entitlement and superiority of her Targaryen heritage (I would argue, though, that these traits are present in every great house.)". From the way she gaslights her sons ("You are Targaryen, and that's all that matters") to her unyielding claim to the throne ("my throne Daemon mine"). Gee...she gives dragons to the dragonseeds even when others tell her otherwise. We need to recognize that Rhaenyra’s actions aren’t devoid of the fire and blood mentality; they’re simply expressed differently. When she discusses subduing the Green strongholds, it’s not just a strategic move—it reflects a willingness to embrace violence if necessary, even at the cost of innocent lives. Look, I want to see Rhaenyra embrace her dark side, that "evil god complex," as much as anyone, so I’m hopeful she’ll go full throttle in the next season. I still have hopes for Dark Mode Rhaenyra. As for Aemond and Aegon, they embody the brutality we’re discussing. They clearly act on their impulses, showcasing a willingness to inflict violence as a means of asserting power. The show does hint at the idea that controlling dragons is an illusion. Alicent and Otto try to rein them in, but Aemond and Aegon act on their own desires, which Alicent claims have been corrupted. Aegon’s rampage following his heir's death demonstrates that he is not only motivated by revenge but also by a sense of entitlement to his Targaryen identity. He can because he is a Targaryen King.Meanwhile, Aemond believes himself superior to both Aegon and Daemon, feeling better than anyone else because he rides the largest dragon. He’s even excited at the idea of his uncle viewing him as a threat, and he is willing to burn his brother to claim what he believes is rightfully his. Their actions reflect a complex interplay of desire for dominance. The problem, however, lies in how the show handles this chaos. The show attempts to justify or soften the morally questionable actions of the characters. Explaining away (or ignoring) their brutality rather than acknowledging the inherent ruthlessness and chaos that define them. Instead of embracing their violent, self-entitled "fire and blood" mentality, the characters are reimagined as sympathetic figures who are merely reacting to circumstances rather than actively choosing their ruthless path. And the fandom eats this and reinterprets these character's actions through a more sympathetic lens, transforming them into tragic figures who only act out of necessity or because they were pushed to the brink. "uwu poor baby"This desire to make the characters more "relatable" or "likeable" transforms the narrative from one of ambition, fire, and destruction, into one where characters are constantly portrayed as reacting to circumstances rather than embodying the very chaos and dominance they are supposed to claim. My God!!! Just Let them be the unapologetic war criminals they’re meant to be—on both sides. Let them act on their brutal nature! I want to see them fully embody their destructive nature instead of this watered-down, justified version we get. The fire and blood mentality is still there, but it's hidden behind layers of restraint and rationalization that it doesn't need.
Generally agree, though I disagree that Rhaenyra is the only one whose fire and blood mentality has been tampered with.
Rhaenys' fury at the idea of her husband having bastards outside of their marriage, so intense that Corlys knew better than to speak of them or be seen with them while she lived? Her ruthlessness in fighting the Greens at all costs? Nah, she's super chill with Corlys' boys. And she wouldn't want to burn the Greens when she had the chance, Alicent is a woman in this man's world and she couldn't do that to another mother 😢
Baela's boldness, taking after her father the Rogue Prince, fiery and determined, a full woman and character in her own right outside of her relationships to others, determined to fight this war with fire and blood? Nope, she's just a one note cheerleader to Jace and Rhaenyra, and she balks at the idea that innocents could and would be killed during a war she's fighting for her queen who has lost people and who in her eyes has good reason to want revenge against the enemy at all costs.
Daemon the Rogue Prince, feared for his unpredictable nature and willingness to use fire and blood, bringing fear of his dragon and the might of his house to force the Riverlands into submission? A man who used his connections in King's Landing to explicitly arrange the death of a child in front of his mother to fulfill a terrible, dark, fiery need for vengeance? Nah, he lets random lords shout at him and question him without consequence. Even a 12 year old lord can put him in his place and talk down to him. A Targaryen dragonriding prince. And it was a misunderstanding and accident that a six year old was murdered! He didn't mean for that to happen! And of course Lucerys' death is barely even part of the motivation and it's never mentioned by Daemon at all. He was just scared of Aemond so he sent assassins after him and it's their fault a child got killed (and also you're supposed to root for the assassins because one has a dog and it's like a heist movie! Woo!).
Only the Green Targaryens are allowed an ounce of fire and blood to shine through, and it's only allowed to try to heighten their villain status. Aemond burns villages. Aegon presses for war and vengeance for his son's murder. And the narrative treats them like idiotic baffoons for acting like this. Aemond is scolded by his mother for wanting vengeance and is labeled an insecure man using violence to feel good (as if he's entirely out of his mind and solely ego driven in his efforts to fight a war he was raised to fight and avenge the death and injury of family members). Aegon is scolded as incompetent, petulant, a fool for taking any action against those who would do him harm, including, yes, ensuring no rat catchers would ever use their knowledge of the castle to harm him again (but those poor innocents! And Cheese's dog is lonely now 😢 all the while nobody cares that Rhaenys murdered at least ten times that amount of innocents a couple of weeks ago for no good reason at all, because that's not something worth exploring in this story at all and was only added for meaningless spectacle, not for any exploration of Targaryen nature and their opinions of the smallfolk and vice versa).
Wildly enough, even Helaena's intense emotions are drawn back. They should've had this in the bag! A grief-stricken mother driven to madness, haunted by what she's witnessed, incapacitated and closed off to anyone and everyone? Nah, she's barely sad about her child being murdered before her very eyes, and in the end she's not even angry at the people responsible. She actually reaches out to the man responsible. There's no fire or blood or even any messy emotion. It's all gone.
I do believe it all stems from the removal of Rhaenyra's fire and blood, but she is definitely not the only one whose been stripped of the fire and blood mentality of their book counterparts. The only thing that really makes the show characters Targaryens are the appearance, the dragons, and the occasional language switch. But the key parts of their personality beyond that are removed. In truth, it's almost like the characters above could belong to any other random house if you changed their hair and mode of transportation. All other parts of their essential Targaryenism have been erased. The house words are gone, those who follow them are idiotic outliers, and the story ceases to be one of true Targaryens destroying themselves.

I'm gonna share my thoughts and overall opinion about heartstopper (it's negative), if that upsets you just, scroll away.
So, heartstopper. I don't like it. I'm not very good at writing or articulating my thoughts properly but I'll try to explain as best as I can.
First, I want to address the 'you're not part of the target demographic' excuse I'm hearing here and there. That's really not a good excuse. A good media (whether that is a movie, a series, a book, or anything else) can and should be enjoyed by more than one age group. And while my experiences in life don't exactly align with what these characters are going through, that still shouldn't stop me from enjoying the show.
The characters
Darcy, ooo boy. Legit one of the more unlikable characters on the whole show even if it's clear we are meant so sympathize with her. Her actions are clearly hurting her girlfriend and friends but that's ok because she has problems on her own apparently.
They're all very boring, stereotypes really, with no real personality (at least the main characters). And a lot of them are plain unlikable. Part of it can be blamed on how stereotypically they act.
Charlie is the soft uwu gay boy who's being bullied, has an eating disorder, has 1000 problems, is not very athletic, is the 'black cat' of the relationship. Notice anything? Yes, all these stereotypes could be describing any character (at least how the fandom usually misinterprets them). He doesn't feel like a real person because he has no sense of self. And yes, it is a fictional world, but at the same time it's clearly written to reflect reality on a big level. He is also extremely selfish and not very forgiving (and while yes you don't have to forgive others if you don't want to, closing the door on someone's face with a simple 'no' isn't exactly the best thing to do).
Nick is the golden retriever bi boyfriend who's never done anything bad in his life (despite doing some of the same things Ben did aka the most irredeemable character of the series that I'll talk more about later albeit for different reasons, the resultremains the same).
Tory is very underdeveloped but still, very boring as well. I'd like to see more of her but so far her writing is bad at best.
The gays
I can't stretch this enough, all the characters end up being boring because they are stereotypes without anything new added to them.
And Ben. Ben was the villain, he never stood a chance to redeem himself because someone had to be the bad guy apparently. Obviously not justifying his actions, but it's clearly he had problems as well. He knew he'd be bullied for his sexuality and he had to pretend around others (the difference between him and Nick is that Nick was the 'good' replacement I guess). And isn't it kind of weird how he's the only non-straight character to be cast aside from the lgbtq group? How they refuse to give him a chance? I don't know, seems excessively cruel for our main characters to do.
The writing
I fear the writing isn't that strong. Some episodes are pretty packed while others are a bit boring because nothing really happens to progress the story (and this is a slice of life show, filler isn't really a thing in the usual sense because the relationships between characters and seeing them interact with each other is part of the genre).
The dialogues range from 'pretty believable' to 'no one talks like that' although I can't be sure how much the webcomic is at fault for that.
The acting
The acting is pretty good actually. I really enjoy the performances of most of the cast with 2 exceptions, Tori and Mr. Farouk. I don't know the actual intention behind it, but I feel like they both play into the autistic stereotype, in a way that feels uncomfortable to watch. Again, I don't actually know why, maybe it was intentional but it still feels a bit weird.
All the 'good' characters from this show have to be a part of the lgbtq community. Straight cis people can't really be good people apparently (even Imogen wasn't straight in the end). And I'm not saying gay characters can't be good but it feels like the show itself makes that connection, gay->good (except if you're Ben), straight->bad (or, if good then not straight).
The intimate stuff
It made me really uncomfortable actually. Not the implied sex but the excessive kissing (of the gay characters, God forbid any of the other couples kiss more than twise).
The eating disorder and mental problems
I can't really say much about it. I think they handled it pretty well on some parts and not so great at others. I liked how the show made it clear Nick shouldn't feel responsible for helping Charlie by himself and how having a mental problem or ed isn't something you should feel like a burden for, you can still be a human being.
The transphobia
Again, there's nothing much to say, but I will say this. The statement 'Gender neutral bathrooms will increase cases of sexual assault against women' isn't inherently transphobic, but rooted in misandry (it can obviously be both, but at it's core it's about stereotypes against men). It's how society is formed at this moment, how patriarchy is hurting everyone, not just women and all.
At the end of the day, my biggest problem with heartstopper lies in this. People claim it's a cozy show about the lgbtq youth, finding love, that I'm just jealous I didn't have something like this growing up etc. But at the same time the show tackles extremely sensitive topics like homophobia, transphobia, eating disorders...
You can't have both, it's either a cozy little show that you shouldn't criticize too hard or it's a show that deals with difficult, important stuff that deserve critisism.

Creepypasta au and oc facts:
Angel has color coded outfits usually determined by her lipstick color(s)
To differentiate Jane doe and Jane the killer Jane TK is more commonly called Blackwolf (yes this is a reference to her creator-)
Karma doesn’t actually see Ine as her child nor did she willingly take her in, Ine just refused to leave her alone cuz she needed a place to stay.
Angel is extremely socially awkward and not good at talking to people…so if she’s actively flirting with you that’s not Angel it’s Angie.
Liliana actually has glasses but prefers contacts, she actually used to have good eyesight but ever since her eyes gained the ability to glow in the dark it all went downhill from there.
Lazari Nicole Nina Ani and Kasei are all in a lovely group called the “I found out EJ is gay and I got rejected because of it club” they get together and eat ice cream, cry and watch sappy vampire romance movies together every month UwU
Despite being blind Lulu is actually a really good climber and scares the crap out of a lot of proxies by ending up on steep ledges and other dangerous places a blind kid probably shouldn’t be.
Despite not actually being a fox or fox hybrid ever since the experiments Ava has found herself taking on more fox and generally more animalistic tendencies and personality traits.
Bloody painter can’t stand Nina cuz he knows she has a crush on Dina and he knows Dina is starting to like her back as well (Dina and Bloody painter are daiting lol)
Nurse Ann is actually nice and motherly twords the kiddie pastas, normally she’s super mean but she feels bad that they’re basically being robbed of a childhood so she tries her best to at least be a bit nicer to them.
Slenderman would be considered a pack animal 🤷‍♀️

I kept rereading your Cass x Danny fic, and am thiiiiiiiis close to convincing myself to read your dpxdc longfic! But returning back to our sweet couple, I had thought of an idea of Cass and Danny's first meeting being at a Gala.
They're all adults. Danny is there as Tucker's Co-CEO of their new company, both of them invited by Tim Drake, who will be stepping down as CEO to newly 21 years old Damian Wayne. He invited other relatively new small companies, for the sake of helping Damian create connections for his own term, other than the ones Tim will leave behind.
The whole Wayne family was going to be there to celebrate Tim's final Gala. When it was time to dance, however, Danny decided that Tucker was doing all the talking for the both of them, giving poor Damian too much information and the rest of the Wayne siblings enough entertainment. So, he stepped out to the balcony for a breather, happy that just for tonight, the clouds parted enough for the full moon to reveal itself.
The music could still be heard outside. But Danny finds out that he wasn't alone. There was a woman. On top of the balcony's roof. Swinging her legs while eating cheap chocolate wafers. Danny watched wrapper after wrapper float gracefully past him to the bushes underneath him. The bush almost looks like a Christmas bush with how many wrappers decorating it.
Then, suddenly, the woman lands beside him, munching on her final wafer, and throwing the wrapper out of the balcony.
"Aren't you gonna get in trouble?"
The woman smiled and brought out another cheap wafer, handing it to Danny indulgently. "A bribe," she simply said.
Danny, amused, decided to play along. He chuckled as he took the cheap wafer. "A deal," he replied, opening it and popping the wafer in his mouth. It wasn't that good, nor as sweet. It honestly tasted like cardboard. But the woman in front of him smiled so beautifully under the moonlight, the cardboard wafer didn't seem to taste as bad.
The woman then pointed to the bush.
Danny got the message and abandoned all his morals. He threw his trash towards nature. Weirdly, he didn't seem to care, didn't even feel Sam's threatening glare even if she is miles away from him right now.
Then, the woman held out her hand.
"Dance?" she invited.
And who was Danny to refuse?
He took her hand, and then they began dancing to the soft and muffled music from inside, under the moonlight that seemed to shine brighter the longer they danced.
When the music ended, Danny and the woman's head were nearly touching, both of their eyes never leaving each other's.
Softly, the woman whispered, "I... am Cass."
Danny didn't miss a beat, "I am Danny."
"And I am Damian."
Danny didn't scream. He didn't. But Cass was already out of his arms and being escorted by her tall brother back inside. Once she reached the door, she turned her head to him with a smile and waved goodbye.
Danny was left alone in the balcony. Everything now feels cold, and the moonlight felt dim.
He sighed, feeling pathetic now. He better head back inside and find Tucker.
[The next day, Vicki Vale would be glaring at her new photographer for always getting some wrapper in his pics!!!]
(I love how much of a cute little bugger Damian was in your fic!!! I just had to use that energy here! ❤ I hope you liked this uwu)
nehnjkw4njh You've got a whole fic right here, and I would devour this thing whole. I did devour this thing whole. I love them, I can't help it. TAT Thank you for the gift. I'm glad you did like that fic! (Take your time with lex luthor's ascent, if you do end up reading it. lol It's an emotional rollercoaster and if you decide to get off before the ride is over, then I won't blame you.) THANK YOU SO MUCH!! <3

I'm not the same anon but I do think that keeley repeatedly saying "we're just friends" for an entire episode only for people to completely ignore her words the moment roy says he wants something more is... fucked up, to say the least
I wad afraid of speaking up because I thought I was the only one that saw it lol
I too looked at her expression, the way she says "roy...", how fast she lets go of his hand and how cheery she is towards jamie, how even roy notices and focuses on her letting go of his hand so fast (because viewers are meant to notice it as well!)
But people just went "omg she touched his hand! who cares that she spent an entire episode saying she wants him as a friend and looks almost panicked at that moment! she clearly wants to jump back in a romantic relationship with him!"
I felt crazy lol but now I feel validated
The show tried to show a strong and independent keeley... only for her to enter yet another relationship and end up needing rebecca's financial help again.
A huge issue I have with the show is that keeley's story in each season revolves around her romantic relationships. And people eat it up because "uwu ships!"
I think that in a show that gave us such badass female characters like rebecca, sassy, nora, sharon, etc., what they did to keeley in season 3 is a shame and a disservice to her character
Season 3 was perfect to show her as the strong, independent woman keeley proclaims herself to be in season 1
She could have brought some of that "Lasso effect" to her new office, become a badass boss and entrepreneur
Instead once again her story revolves around her romantic interests, she loses the firm, is betrayed by a close friend, and has fan fave roy pressure her to get back with him as soon as she's out of an abusive relationship
The only true moment of brilliance I saw from her was in 3x08 when her pics and videos were leaked and she refused to make a public apology and stood her ground (roy's behavior was quite abysmal right there btw)
It's true that this doesn't feel like a "last season of the series" storyline for keeley
It's looks like a really good setup for a spinoff, maybe?
I really hope she ends season 3 as a happy single woman focused of rebuilding her career
Woo feeling validated in fandom interpretations! I know that feeling oh so well lol
As said, I need to give the last episode a re-watch, especially since I personally haven’t come across anyone making light of Keeley’s apparent discomfort. Which isn’t to say that those posts don’t exist, just that they haven’t made their way to my pocket of the fandom and thus I’m not really in a position to comment on their validity (or lack thereof).
However, I do disagree with the take that Keeley being in relationships this season is a “disservice” to her character. Honestly, I think both you and the previous anon are coming from a rather narrow idea of what a “strong independent woman” looks like. It’s an incredibly understandable viewpoint given media history -- wherein woman are written primarily as sex objects and/or fridged lovers for man pain -- but in this case I think those expectations are blinding fans to Keeley’s canonical complexity.
As an important reminder to readers in general, Season 3 did not suddenly arrive with romance plotlines that derailed Keeley’s otherwise good writing. Romance and sexuality are baked into her core characterization, right from Episode One. So yes, if you're not at all a fan of that characterization then Keeley is never going to work well for you. Which implies then that the issue has less to do with tweaking Keeley's plot and more the desire for a totally different character. Because this is a woman who prioritizes sex and her romantic interests. She is introduced as being (sexually) intimidated by Rebecca, talking about how hot she is, how she’s totally thought about the two of them together, and praising her topless photos. Keeley consistently dresses in outfits that ping-pong between traditionally sexy and coy, schoolgirl looks. She’s dating Jamie at the show’s start, talks about how she wants more than to just keep dating hot footballers younger than her, and then finds that "more" by a) becoming Rebecca’s pseudo-protege and b) dating the older, mature Roy whose football career is coming to a close. But the point is that Keeley has always been sexual, has always been interested in romance, and has (nearly) always been after Roy in particular. Season One is peppered with that attraction, from her impressed “Holy shit” when he headbutts Colin, to making fun of him while he stands outside in the parking lot without his shirt.
Continuing this trend of Keeley being interested in sex/romance in Season Three is only a problem if we think it’s inherently bad for that to be a primary focus in her life... and I don’t think it is. Because otherwise the only issue would be if Ted Lasso wasn't capable of writing women except as arm candy for men... and the show quite obviously is. Keeley’s sexuality becomes a unique characteristic of her personality precisely because the other women are written as having their own, differing priorities and interests: Rebecca is the high-powered woman whose divorce is a symbol of freedom, Nora is still young and has other things on her mind, Sally likes casual sex but isn’t looking for a relationship (at least not with Ted), Sharon is a no-nonsense professional who has a split-second scene with a new boyfriend, Mae has no romantic prospects at all, etc. Personally, I find it to be a reductive reading to take a woman who has been shown as a romance-focused, sex-positive individual from day one, who has ALSO achieved so much outside of those interests, and then claim that because romance remains a priority in her life she’s not strong/independent. Really, how much does a woman have to achieve before she’s “allowed” to be written as putting relationships first? This is the Feminism 101 reminder that if you give women the means to be anything they want... a lot of them will want to be wives, mothers, hookers, secretaries, etc.
More to the point, Keeley does achieve a lot this season. You say that you wish Keeley had become a badass boss and entrepreneur... but she is. She was those things last season too. She runs a company and had a plot wherein she learned how to be a better boss after hiring her friend turned out to be a mistake (an arc that I think parallels Ted figuring out how to bench Roy). She's literally a boss and literally a badass, so what else does she need to do on screen to convey that? You say that Roy “pressured” her to get back with him, but he doesn’t. He intends to leave a letter while she’s away and Keeley surprises him. Keeley asks him to read it aloud. Keeley calls him back when Roy starts walking away. That’s all a moment of agency on her part and I don’t think we should deny her that just because we’re used to women being pressured into relationships in other stories/real life. That doesn’t mean that’s what’s happening here. Yes, Roy really stepped in it when he asked Keeley who the video was for, but that’s the entire point of the scene. He fucks up, immediately realizes he fucked up, and Keeley walks away knowing that she doesn’t owe him an answer. That’s a scene written for Keeley, not for Roy, and it’s not evidence that he’s inherently bad for her. It’s only evidence that people make mistakes and should be forgiven when they try to make amends -- Ted Lasso’s bread and butter.
You say you wished Keeley had brought the Lasso Way to her firm, but she does. Granted, it’s by no means as extensive as Ted’s achievement, but why would we expect it to be when Keeley isn’t the show’s main character? (Nor is she Ted.) What else is her relationship with Barbara though if not a miniature version of what Ted has done with the team? Here’s a standoffish, isolated individual who doesn’t feel like a part of the group. Now let’s humanize her with snow globes. Now let’s have her warming to Keeley over a series of small but significant interactions. Now let’s have the emotional conclusion where Keeley demonstrates that she’s paying attention to her interests (collecting), is willing to accommodate her quirks (I need to pay you), and the end result is Barbara returning because where else would she want to work after all that kindness? This is shown on an even smaller scale with the awkward guy in the office who explicitly tells Keeley that she’s the nicest boss he’s ever had. Again, there aren’t episodes worth of this development, but I think that speaks more to these being side-characters in a B-Plot than it does Keeley’s supposed failure.
Yes, she receives help from Rebecca at the end... but she was receiving help from Jack before. Keeley is not (yet) in a position to stand completely on her own with the firm and even if she was, why would she want to? That’s not Ted Lasso’s approach. The victory here is in having her best friend supporting her when, as Rebecca points out, that help amounts to chump-change for her (seriously, she was casually buying a horse last episode. She can afford this), rather than being beholden to a stranger/abusive-ex. And you say that Keeley’s only true moment of brilliance is when she stands her ground regarding the video... which is a plot-line that revolves around her sexuality. That just emphasizes that, as said, sex and romance has been a key part of Keeley’s story since the start and just because some shows navigate that in a demeaning, insulting way doesn’t mean that’s inherently the case. As demonstrated, having the woman make a sex vid that gets leaked can lead to a fantastic, empowering plot.
Idk I obviously have a lot of thoughts about this, but primarily I’m uncomfortable with this generalized takeaway that Story About Women Having Relationships = Them Being Weak/It's Bad Writing. Especially when Keeley’s romance this season was queer. That representation, to my mind, outweighs any potential harm of getting another romance-focused plotline for a woman. But I don’t see it as inherently harmful? This is all a core part of Keeley’s character, so if fans dislike it... they just dislike Keeley. There's nothing wrong with that, but this is the woman who loves masturbating to a video of her boyfriend crying and was dead-set on a super sexy Christmas until Phoebe needed her help. Sex and romance are key parts of who Keeley is, without those things solely defining her. Plus, notably, the rest of the cast has been focused on romance too. Ted is out there hiring private investigators over Michelle’s potential engagement. Rebecca has an (emotionally) hot night with the boat dude and is still coming to terms with everything surrounding Rupert. Sam is still clearly pining for her at least a little. Beard remains immersed in his own abusive relationship. Colin wants nothing more than to be able to kiss his fellow after a game. Even Trent, if read subtextually, has upended his entire LIFE out of a love of Ted.
And of course Roy, when not doing generic football things, has spent the whole season likewise thinking about Keeley: here’s the hilarious moment when everyone reacts to their breakup (a scene that heavily sells their Happily Ever After for the viewer. If the entire cast is reacting with this much horror and shock, you’re supposed to want them together). Here he is talking to Jamie about her dating someone else. Here he is putting his foot in it because of jealousy. Here’s the love letter. Roy’s characterization this season has revolved around Keeley just as much as Keeley’s has revolved around him and Jack. So even if Keeley didn’t have a unique history and characterization surrounding her romances, it doesn’t feel fair to say she’s somehow being done a disservice when the whole cast is grappling with various, romance-focused conflicts. Ted Lasso is a story about love in all its forms and I for one am pretty damn happy with how they’ve written Keeley's brand of love. The show said that you can be a boss ass bitch AND sexually active AND prioritizing finding the love of your life; you don’t have to choose. So I’m a little protective when fans frame it like Keeley does, in fact, have to choose. If she’s in romances than she’s no longer independent and strong and powerful... which simply isn’t true.
That narrow perspective is, I think, potentially more of a problem than fans who ship her with Roy when, clearly, the show wants you to ship her with Roy. That’s their B-Plot since day one. That’s what Ted faints over and Beards screams out a disbelieving “What?!” The characters ship it too. Are there structural problems in media where women are frequently denied agency and are reduced solely to a man’s love interest? Yeah, but we need to read the room a bit too. I think acting like fans are bad for prioritizing their relationship in a show that has consistently prioritized their relationship is a bit like walking into that Rom-Com and going, “Ugh, can you believe the woman is falling for another man? That’s all women do in stories anymore! She’s just pining after and flirting with and eventually marrying this guy, it's so sad." Like... it's a romance. Sure, we can unpack how this characterization feeds into other stories and even the prevalence of the genre itself, but that doesn't erase the fact that this is a romance and having a character fall in love is the entire point. Keeley is likewise a romance-focused character with a romantic subplot who also does a lot of other, cool, non-romance things throughout the show. That’s been Ted Lasso’s genre/vibe since the start, so wanting something different is an individual preference, not a failure of the story. No one has to like Keeley or what they're doing with her, obviously, but in this case the show has not promised something it didn't deliver on.

Hey, how you do? No ask for advice this time, just a question to ask. Do you know about the MCs that most either “sweet and naive” or “baddie”, well I wanna ask, have you guys ever seen MCs that are actually smart, commonly sensed, or morally evil?
Hey there Alex,
The short answer:
Tumblr media
The long answer:
With the rise in popularity of manhwa (Korean comics) and manhua (Chinese comics), we're blessed with the opportunity of meeting far more diverse main characters. For a long time, manga has been the kingpin for fandom communities. It still is. But a majority of their female leads are passive doormats.
Korean and Chinese leads, there has been this push competence for their leads. The plots they have written heavily rely on their leads to have problem-solving skills and thanks to that, we see the characters grow to meet the demand of the plot. There are some incredibly strong female MCs in manhwa and manhua. But then like any industry, it's becoming oversaturated. People like smart girls! The thing is, we're getting to the point where low-quality stories are getting pumped out to chase a trend. We're getting "smart" MCs now. Stories that are warping and bending themselves backward to make the MC look better than what she actually is. Convoluted plot points and leaps of logic. It's more of a fault for an author trying to make a character smarter than them.
Morally evil MCs are a different subject. There are plenty of morally evil MCs but the issue is that the author refuses to acknowledge the MC as evil. It's all been "morally grey this" and "morally complex that". While a character can certainly be complex, it doesn't change the fact that the actions made are objectively evil in societal terms. A lot of authors miss the mark that a morally grey character has some good in them and it's not "UwU I had a hard life. Therefore I'm getting revenge now 0w0". It's a huge mess of wanting to make the cake and eat it too. Are there unashamedly evil MCs? Yeah! But there are a lot more evil MCs disguised as morally grey. If you count those, then we certainly got an expanded roaster!
Don't ask us for recommendations. Our memory is pretty shit these days since we mindlessly consume this stuff and it all blurs together.

Hello There!! :) Sorry to bother you but I just wanted to let you know that some leaks for future episodes of Helluva Boss, for EP 6 And 12 were just leaked on 4Chan and I wanted to know your thoughts if you saw them. I've seen them myself..and I've gotta say, this just made me more annoyed and made me just wanna avoid the show even more, it's so damn predictable and it's just more proof that the show refuses to put Stolas in the wrong and call him out on what he's done and make us feel bad for him, and he's just nothing but this "UWU baby. 😒🤦‍♀️ It's just so frustrating, I REALLY don't see this show getting any better and seeing these animatics for the future episodes of the season just proves my point.
Heck, sometimes I'm even wondering why HB needed to be made, yes it was obviously made to keep fans invested and entertained until Hazbin's arrival but this spinoff has just been a mess and all over the place, and relys on shipping to get the fans entertained + I feel like a spinoff should be able to stand on it's own without connecting to the show it's based on, ya know? It also just feels Viv isn't as passionate about HB as she is with HH, like HB the more I think about it, just feels like nothing but a cash grab and just there to keep fans invested, and it'd working since the fans will eat up anything from Viv. I'm not saying Viv and her team aren't passionate and hard work is shown with the Animation + Voice Acting, but everything else, especially the writing..isn't very good. Idk man, I just feel like HB is just a cash crab and such, at least with HH it has so much potential and something going for it and seems like a story Viv actually WANTS To tell and explore, which I hope it delivers. 🤞💙 But with HB, it's just all over the place and it went from a comedy show about assassin Imps to a romantic yaoi fanfic show, it's facts. I thought this show was called, "Helluva Boss" not "The Stolitz Show"/"The Stolas Show" This show just feels like a fanfiction and all it's emotional scenes feel emotionally manipulative too and just not earned, they're just there to make you feel for the characters. For example, remember how in EP 6 (Truth Seekers) It seems Blitz was gonna change for the better and try treating Moxxie better and stop being an asshole? Well, the next episode just completely throws Blitz "Depth" right out of the window and he goes back to his same ways and WE are apparently supposed to feel back for him, especially at the end of that episode..but I don't, because he did that to himself.
And while yes, it takes time for a character to grow and change, they still try putting effort in the process when it comes to redeeming and trying to better themselves and you slowly see them grow as time goes on, even if they slip up at times and it isn't easy. But with Blitz, it's like Viv and the writers completely forgot about the last episode, and his and Moxxie's so called "heart to heart" moment and just had him to continue being the same unlikeable, loud, annoying, creepy Boss that he's always been since the Pilot, and had him stalk his employees (ON THEIR ANNIVERSARY, BTW) just because it's funny.
(Let's not forget that HB pretty much spoiled HH and it's premise when it comes to Charlie's goal to redeem demons and help them get to Heaven. But it just seems pointless and just reckons HH, since Heaven is revealed to be just as bad Hell and it just makes Charlie's goal useless, tbh. Though, I like to pretend the C.H.E.R.B. EP doesn't exist, Lol.)
(I've mentioned beforehand that I really do use to enjoy and like the show a lot and was a fan, but things started to take a turn sometime after EP 3, where it went downhill for me and I saw a drop in quality. I rewatched the show and saw in-depth posts on here and just realized how bad some things are in the show and just how flawed it really was. I mean, when being a fan, I didn't really pay attention and just saw on flawed it was, plus I also stopped watching and left because of it's toxic and horrible fandom and how they attack and harass you if you say one negative thing on the show or their favorite ships, and say you're homophobic..which is ridiculous and just so sad, especially when some of these fans are adults, almost close to their 30's and yet act like children when not everyone blindly praises the show like they (and the majority of the fandom) do.)
Yes!! I have seen the leaks. Just now after you mentioned them. (I'm surprised it wasn't that hard to find them).
Honestly, Stolas existing as a character hardcore irks me at this point. Not gonna lie, lol! Just knowing this show is going to try its hardest to have us pity him or Blitzo, even when they don't even deserve it, frustrates me. For real!
I'm not gonna spill a drip of tea about the leaks, but from what I've seen so far (in some ways, in these specific scenes), let's just say it's similar to the last few episodes that were released. And if you read my rants, you'll know it'll be the same issues I've mentioned about this piece of crumbled mess we call a web show. At this point, I really am done with this show. Like, I'll still watch the show just to make fun of it, but my ratings for it will stay at an all-time LOW!
Yeah, I can pretty much tell from the first season that Viv's effort and determination for HB faltered completely and will probably never click again. It's no secret she's more invested in HH. I mean, it's fine if you wanna put more of your focus on the MAIN show you really wanted to release. It would actually make sense that her interest and effort for her spinoff fell drastically because she started paying more attention to HH (even if it is the main reason why it's terrible). I can tell at this point that she loves Hazbin Hotel a lot more than Helluva Boss (I mean, I do too. But that's not the point) However if you're going to make a spinoff just to keep your fans entertained enough to have patience for the big thing, at least put more effort in the plot and the potential the show could have. And I'm not just talking about the fans that will go ~~uwu gaga~~ or teary-eyed over everything that occurs in this mess as long as it keeps the ship going. I'm talking about the people that actually expect this show to make sense and have some good plot points!!
Pretty much all that you said is accurate! It can't be any more right than it already is.
For real, where the holy hell did the plot go!!?? What is the point of this show?? What lessons are being learned?? If there are any lessons learned, they should've been learned from the very beginning it became something serious instead of the characters going through the same repetitive sh*t only to not learn a damn thing. If I'm missing something, someone's gonna have to let me know! Cuz, my god! This show IS ALL OVER the place with its plot points! How are you gonna expect me to feel bad about any of these characters if they're never gonna learn their lesson? You can't just make a scene where they start to see the error of their ways and make it seem like they're going to try and change for the better only to completely forget about all that they learned (or are supposed to learn) just to act the same as they always been. Like, what was the point of that build-up? Where did all the potential go?? You mean to tell me all that was just some kind of filler episode that supposedly never happened???? NO! That's not how this works! You can't just do that??
It was supposed to be just a comedy. A sitcom about a bunch of assassins getting their job done. Fulfilling requests from every sinner to kill or get revenge on anybody in the living that did them wrong. We only had very few episodes containing that plot, only for it to turn into a drama and into a rom-com added with pointless drama so suddenly since episode 7.
And you raise a good point about the whole heaven thing. Charlie's goal just seems completely pointless since the cherub episode. In heaven, Angels are supposed to be seen as... well, the complete opposite of what the sinners and demons of hell are. We're supposed to see them as good people ( or angels?). The kind of people that do no wrong. Or probably have done some wrong but begged God for forgiveness so they earn their place in heaven (not really sure if it works like that. That's just based on my assumption and just seems to make sense). They could be considered really nice beings who hate committing felonies and only want to be good. But all we saw was a whole freakin' FACADE from the Cherubs!!! They just seemed sweet while only wanting to keep people alive. But later, they literally try to murder and fight these imps!! Cursing and even calling that old man sh*tty! Umm, WHAT?? Angels using bad words.... Is that even allowed?? Charlie wants to redeem every sinner... Okay, but what would be the point if they're just gonna act the same as they did in hell. They would just be keeping a whole facade to make themselves look good!
(What ever happened to those Cherubs after they got kicked out of heaven anyway?)
Yeah, Helluva Boss was enjoyable for a while. A short while actually. It wasn't perfect, but it was still enjoyable to watch. But unfortunately, it failed to be seen as one of the best shows I've seen. The plot is just not there anymore. The characters are terrible and fail at being characters. The jokes aren't even funny no more. They might as well be jokes for kids under 17 who just laugh at every single f bomb being dropped. The fans that do watch and enjoy this show might as well be a bunch of 12-year-olds if they don't even see one flaw it has. I'm sorry. But considering how toxic fans can get, I have every right to say this.

💜5 facts about Vashti💜
Tumblr media
1. Vashti is half Malay/Sudanese. She lives a corpo lifestyle in her younger years since her mom was a corpo who work with her netrunner dad. Her parents was murdered when she was 15 yo due to their involvement in some corpo conspiracy.(i refuse to elaborate cause thats gonna be another long story...) She was taken in by her aunts family after her parent’s death.
2. She’s very skill with katana/knives & netrunning. (which she learn during her corpo upbringing) After years working at the mox she join the Valentinos gang with her twin cousins. Vashti did met Jackie as a Valentinos back then but they were not close cause her cousins seems to have some beef with him. Sadly the twins got killed in a gang war which prompt Vashti to move to Atlanta. (then the game story start~)
3. Her fashion sense is mostly street or business but make it kawaii. She prefer pink/purple/pastel colors but can make do with darker colors if it makes her blend into the dark. Thanks to her petite size (around 4'8”) with her soft uwu personality people tend to perceive her as harmless which she took it as an advantage.
4. Vashti has a massive sweet tooth. She literally throw sugar in anything that she could eat or drink. Jackie swore to never to eat anything made by Vashti after he accidentally drank her coffee once.
5. She spend her past time scratch building doll houses. She tend to collect random things on the street (aka me who actually hoard everything that is lootable) for her building materials. She also do some sculpting with Pororo (her cat) as the model but all her sculpt turn into abomination horror creature somehow.

What are your boi's pronouns?! (Main Sans OC's)
Ah!! Ty for asking!!
Here are their pronouns and a lil bit of info for flavour
Barrier uses He/Him but he won’t correct you or mind if you use the wrong pronouns,
Idle uses He/Him and She/Her, he’s Bi-Gender but is also completely okay if you just pick one pronoun and stick to it (but will secretly be ecstatic if you switch her pronouns up)
and Spoke uses any pronouns but just defaults to He/Him because he’s too lazy to explain that to everyone he meets
(Also, not part of the disaster Trio but imma tell ya Rivper, Climate and Helical’s pronouns too UwU)
Rivper uses He/They but always forgets to actually tell people their pronouns
Climate uses He/Him but when first asked what his pronouns were, asked ‘what are pronouns? Can you eat them?’
And Helical refuses to tell anyone his pronouns and just say’s ‘guess lol’ (he’s comfortable with anything he just thinks the reactions are hilarious’

🍓- To share strawberries and cream with my muse. koto & killy uwu
He’s usually not one who would indulge too much in sweets. Recalling various wise words from his parents && grandparents throughout his childhood, indulging oneself in a copious amount of sweets would eventually rot one’s teeth && practically would be a health hazard. ‘tis why he would often find himself consuming alternatives that are less sugary, such as honey or fruits. Even he’d be less inclined to add sugar to his coffee, also because they lessen the ‘kick’ of the caffeine—he likes it dark, with just the little amount of milk to make the taste a tad richer.
Usually, he wouldn’t really be indulging himself in a particularly sweet dessert like a shortcake dipped in whipping cream && topped in strawberries — but an order by his employer to accompany her in her sugary indulgence… is an order, nevertheless. Though unable to refuse, he did at least, let her take the bigger slices, while he kept his own portion to a fairly minimum amount.
Tumblr media
“Lady Koto,” he briefly interrupts her indulgence, hand moves to give a gentle wipe to clean the remaining bits of white cream close to her lips with a handkerchief. “…there was a little cream… near your lips.” Hah, the atmosphere still remains as awkward as ever. As much as the she wants to lessen the professional distance between them, his conscience would rather stay otherwise — despite of the burgeoning feelings.
“Apologies as I had to disturb you for a bit.” For that, he couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. At least she does look adorable while eating though, he’d give her credit for that.
