Corsac's and Fennec's primary allusion is the Kitsune of Japanese folklore. Kitsune are mischievous fox spirits, and can be both benevolent or malevolent in nature. Benevolent Kitsune, known as Zenko, are associated with and often the messengers for Inari, a Shinto god, whom in this case would either be Ghira Belladonna or Sienna Khan. In spite of this, Zenko are still considered trickster spirits, as they are known to shapeshift in Japanese folklore to fool unsuspecting humans for various, though not necessarily harmful, reasons. No matter what side they're on, Corsac and Fennec are talented liars and manipulators, knowing how to get what they need out of others.
Malevolent Kitsune, Yako (or Nogitsune in some places), harbor no loyalty to any particular deity and their tricks are often for nefarious purposes. They are well-known thieves; Corsac and Fennec grew up on the streets, often stealing food and other supplies just to get by. A Zenko spirit can also "fall from grace", become a Yako spirit, and vice versa. Depending on the verse, Corsac and Fennec can either get better or become worse.
Corsac's and Fennec's secondary allusion is Hermes, the Greek god of mischief and the herald of the gods. Hermes has been known to assist several Greek heroes, such as Odysseus and Perseus, and is typically the messenger for Zeus, the king of the gods, specifically. Corsac's and Fennec's loyalties are verse dependent, but they are primarily Sienna Khan's errand boys and sent to assist or carry out tasks when need be.
#how to does it feel to be helpless? how does it feel to know pain? (HEADCANONS | CORSAC ALBAIN)#you'll need a mindset change for this. you cannot get away with playing safe for this. (HEADCANONS | FENNEC ALBAIN)#if i ever make a pjo verse#they would 100% be sons of hermes

God I just fucking love Percy Jackson so much like as a franchise it’s so beautiful and inclusive but also it’s just such a flexible world and it’s so workable as a fanfiction writer and it fits into pretty much any crossover because it works as a light, fun story but it’s also so horrifying but because the actual books don’t lean into those aspects as much you don’t have to either but you can if you want to and it’s so OC-friendly and there are so many gods with potential for parenthood and even the parts of the world that aren’t quite mythology accurate can be edited because it’s gods are concepts not people and they can be plenty of things all at once and it’s not like the actual books are all that consistent either and whdlwodjkwnd I love this series so much it’s incredible and beautiful and Rick Riordan did so much good by publishing the entire franchise
#percy jackson#pjo#rick riordan#riordan verse#I am feeling the pjo vibes today friends#I love making PJO crossover OCs#I haven’t actually written any of them so far but it works so WELL#and I love all the characters of course but I think I love the world riordan creates even more#because it’s this beautiful combination of our world and an ancient world#and it fits so well with every other piece of work that exists in a world even slightly resembling ours#I think the reason I gravitate the most towards pjo crossovers as opposed to regular fics is because#I would rather die than change uncle rick’s course of events#I love all of his characters and all of the things that happen so much#like he just straight up killed gabe and that was such girlboss behavior??#also also also#coming from someone who used to consider Harry Potter the best series ever#PJO is simply just. better in every way#like I still love Harry Potter but with jkr turning out to be such a flaming shitshow of a person#going from that to Percy Jackson? phenomenal#I‘ve seen Rick riordan live with my mom twice and the second time she like#compared the fan reactions to him to a concert and she was so shocked because we love him#and I was like yes!!!! yes we do!!!!! uncle Rick is the BEST!!!#anyways I’ve been rambling lol#I love PJO so damn much

Jackson is essentially a quarter-Idol, in a manner of speaking. Cernunnos had been a relatively new Idol at the time he was conceived, so the man hadn't completely fully encompassed the god's powers and essence just yet. However, Jackson's lineage on his mother's side do have a few magic users back in the day which supplemented the god-like essence into remaining in Jackson as he got older.
#sg!jckcanons#[ basically jackson is kind of a half-blood but in stray gods instead of the PJO verse ]#[ that's... gonna be explored later if i ever get to making that verse owo ]

I gotta know, how do the greeks feel about Iapetus (aka bob)
OKAY SO this is the only info about the titanomachy in the ror verse:
and i was lowkey disappointed at how scarce it was cuz i was hoping for maybe like a list of who fought but i guess not
idk if i'll ever get to mention this in the fic, but i started making some fake lore about the titanomachy (tournament)
but then i was like WAIT A MINUTE. i was gonna add characters like hera, prometheus, hecate, etc. etc. but then i realized that people had to have DIED in this tournament and the gods i was gonna add were already written about in my fic (and some i just didn't wanna kill off)
but at the same time, i didn't want to make it so that the god's side had a unanimous win 😭😭 there had to be SOME losses you know??? i also didn't wanna make up an OC god who loses and dies so yeah
so i scraped the idea of making headcanons of all the rounds lol
this is all i can give :
zeus vs kronos -> zeus wins
poseidon vs oceanus -> poseidon wins
hades vs hyperion (dark vs light lol) -> hades wins
adamas vs iapetus -> adamas wins
so OBVIOUSLY they would HAAAAAAATE the fact that iapetus still exists in pjo verse, ESPECIALLY adamas since he was the dude who fought him in the tournament. his anger and terror would actually rival poseidon's if he were to ever find out that percy actually MET the guy (this is from "the sword of hades" btw)
it's already bad enough that percy met iapetus' psycho son (atlas) at like... age 13-14 or something, BUT IAPETUS HIMSELF????? and the fact that titans can't fucking DIE in that universe??????
hell nooooooo, adamas isn't taking any chances, he'd race to the bifrost to get percy out of there 😭😭
he won't even find it funny that he got his mind wiped and is now reduced to a friendly underworld janitor. he doesn't care if he's nice now, or that percy likes him and sees him as a friend or that he helps her outta tartarus, that dude is DANGEROUS and he wants him far far FAR away from his niece.
(hades would be horrified to learn that iapetus is just strolling around the underworld as a janitor like "my counterpart gave him a JOB????!?!?!?!?!" his stress levels are so high lmao 😭)

There are so many beautiful friendships & relationships in the pjo verse and i kept thinking about how -
Piper & Leo became best friends, Leo finding comfort in Piper and Piper wanting to protect Leo, even though Aphrodite rejected Hephaitos and Hephaistos in turn isolated from Aprhodite?
How even Silena & Beckendorf found genuine love within each other and choosing to be together when their parents were forcibly married?
How Hazel & Nico chose to stay close as siblings because they sought out family even when they didn‘t expect to find it, while Hades is & keeps on being disconnected from the rest of his family?
How Percy & Annabeth became friends & partners in battle and found true love within each other, making even each of their godly parents see that there‘s no breaking them apart, ever, even if Athena & Poseidon might never be on especially good terms?
Just the way rick uses the godly heritage of demigods to once again show how you‘re not bound by biological heritage, how you can choose who belongs to your family, undeterred by your parents history because you‘re your own person worthy of love and capable and strong enough to find & take it.
#this though is fueled my a spontaneous burst of pjo feelings post cotg#pjo#heroes of olympus#hoo#rick riordan#piper mclean#leo valdez#silena beauregard#charles beckendorf#hazel lavesque#nico di angelo#percy jackson#annabeth chase

Hi! So sorry to bother you! I just finished 'If you ask me for my fire' and I really enjoyed it! However, it brought up a question that has been nagging me for some time when I read any Perpollo or Percy x god with a similar premise, and I thought what better to ask someone who has written a few fics with that theme - IF Percy got with a god and took the immortality route (whether forced or not) would that god be loyal? In the case of your fic would Apollo stay by Percy's side for all eternity, really? Would he never stray at all? - I know it's not the easiest question and I apologise but I'd love to hear some insight, especially since the fic I chose is so ambiguous in the end like yeah he absolutely forced him to immortality but only to have him by his side for eternity, to me the more important question is now Apollo has got what he wanted does he stay loyal? If forever is all that he has, then would he really spend it with Percy? At the end of the day he is a god - a Greek one at that - and they aren't known for Loyalty and pure singular devotion for their spouses.
Again, sorry about this question! I know its more nuanced than I'm making this poorly worded Tumblr ask to be, and I mean in general not just for your fic, but your fic is really good and a good example for the question cause in the case of your fic Percy says he doesn't know but loyalty is so important to him, he would probably stay out of that (and fear and sadness) and never ever stray but say it's a different situation where someone like maybe Hephaestus did something similar maybe forced, or maybe Percy chose it doesn't matter but would Hephaestus then stay loyal?
Honestly would love to hear the insight, your own biased answer not a generalisation, if you know anyone else that can give their own unique answers, please pass this along! I know you're close to mrthology and other big Perpollo writers, so all answers are good, but you don't have to! Sorry, that's kind of rude of me to ask.
Also, the second part of this question would be, If they do stay loyal through everything, what kind of message does that send? Is Percy really that more important that he could stop the biggest serial adulterers to stop completely? That's he can do what countless others have tried to do, and he wasn't even trying that hard. That he was enough when others weren't? - BUT that's not important, ignore that, I'm just being insane this is a children's book series.
I'm glad you enjoyed the fic!
So, if Percy were to become immortal and enter a relationship with a God, would that God stay loyal? You're right in that there's a lot of nuance to the question and that everyone is going to look at it differently. It's definitely a question I like playing around a lot with in my fics.
I get pretty long-winded in my response, but I have a feeling you won't mind lol
For the purposes of this conversation, we're going to assume loyal = monogamous (I could see Percy being polyamorous in a closed way, like percy/annabeth/apollo or the 7 or something, but not in a way where one or more partners are having casual sex with people Percy doesn't know, but that's not that important here). This point will be addressed later.
My gut instinct is no. With perpollo specifically, I do think there might be a short period of time where Apollo is loyal to Percy. But, I think that loyalty would be more incidental than anything. For a while, Apollo would be absolutely obsessed with Percy and during that time Apollo might be monogamous. But it's the same way he might become obsessed with some shiny new instrument and only play that for a short period of time. How long this era of loyalty/obsession might last is somewhere a lot of people might differ.
But, as time went on, their story would fall in line with every other pairing among the Gods. There might be a sort of constancy there, but there will always be dallying. Hell, within the PJO verse specifically, Demigods serve a purpose and Apollo's cabin is full to bursting at any given moment. I don't think it becoming empty would be something that's easily accepted, and to get demigods, you need infidelity.
Apollo staying loyal is something I've explored, specifically in Electing Strange Perfections. In that fic, Apollo tricks Percy into immortality and Percy becomes the God of Loyalty. Through Hera and a series of events, Apollo marries Percy. Consequently, Apollo cannot stray due to Percy's domain/powers/influence. In other words, it takes an outside influence.
Part of why I think this is due to how I see and write the Gods for the fics. They are inhuman, ancient beings who have lived on a scale the human mind cannot comprehend. I like to see the Greek Gods as feeling everything so intensely, with human emotion being watered down. It's fun to play with the idea of humans lives, love, and feelings being more valuable for being so short-lived rather than for their intensity. Rarity increasing value sorta thing. Also the idea that the Gods simply are their domains and what that makes myths look like in the context of human experience. Like of course Hades took Demeter's daughter, that's what death does (I'm referencing a tumblr post here I can't find to link).
Riordan's Gods are very humanized. I personally like to play with the idea of that being a result of changing with the times, but their core still being the same. Sure, they might soften themselves for modern demigods due to time and cultures changing expectations, but that doesn't erase the thousands of years that very much wasn't the case. It's a fun dichotomy to play with in fic where you can do whatever you want. I like the Gods being Gods tag.
In the world of Percy Jackson, myths are history. The morals of Greek mythology are different from what we're used to seeing, but that doesn't mean they're not there. The myths depict cruelties and horrors, but often these same cruelties were justified to the Gods enacting them. And those are the Gods we're reading and writing about when you're playing with PJO.
I do love reading and writing the softer moments between the Demigods and the Gods. Whether that's parental, friendships, or romantic. But Apollo helping someone heal doesn't erase the fact that he is also the God of plague; like the black plague, the spanish influenza, covid-19, cancer -- that's all him. With these softer moments, that doesn't erase everything else the Gods do and have done, and that they will forever look at their actions in a different way. I think there's a sort of obligation there too, as part of their domains. Ares will always be war.
And I think this obligation extends to their affairs. Ares has children with soldiers, Athena has kids with academics -- they're falling for their own domains. This isn't a hard and fast rule, but how can you fault the god of thieves for falling for a thief? And I do think there's love, it just looks so very different from what we might be used to.
All this to say, long-term monogamy is not in Apollo's wheelhouse. He's married to the muses by some accounts. Apollo is the God of so many things: music and healing just to name the few. I don't think he'll permanently change millennia of behavior for Percy, no matter how romantic that sounds. A musician who performs for the love of the song is going to catch Apollo's eye because that is to perform for the love of Apollo, even if the musician in question doesn't know that.
Earlier, I said for the purposes of this question we'll define loyal as monogamous, and I think that's part of the crux of the matter. I think Percy would see affairs and demigods as a sign of disloyalty. I don't think Apollo would if Apollo always comes back to Percy. This is a much more understandable difference in view point and one we see between people on the daily.
And definitely reach out to a few others; it's a super fascinating conversation! These questions are part of why I love reading and writing the Demigod/God fics so much -- Demigods have a better idea of what they're getting into, which makes all of these things stand out so much more when the God doesn't have to hide. I know @mrthology and I are definitely aligned regarding the Apollo and loyalty question, but I can't speak for anyone else!
#Ask#ashdevito#Percy Jackson and the Olympians#Perpollo#this is a lot of word vomit but I hope the point comes across lol#Much longer than I thought#but these questions are super fun to think about when thinking of god/demigod relationships

How I Think Percy and Annabeth’s “Enemies to Friends” Relationship Should Work in PJO Season 1:
First of all, I would like to say it really bothers me when writers throw in an “enemies to friends” or “enemies to friends to lovers” trope into their story and the basis for “enemies” is something silly. In the case of PJO, the main reason why Annabeth and Percy do not get along at first (this is only the biggest reason, there are others) is because their parents do not like each other.
I would like to make the case that this trope would work much better if it was caused by a clash of worldviews between Percy and Annabeth. We have two characters with vastly different backgrounds, and it really sucks that this wasn’t explored more.
Percy is very street smart. He understands the power dynamics/hierarchies/rules of the mortal world and is able to use these to his advantage. However, he is totally new to the demigod world and struggles against following rules or authority figures he does not respect. This sets him up to be a rebel in the demigod world and make enemies of powerful folks.
Annabeth is well-versed in the demigod world. She has known about her demigod status since age 7 and been involved at camp for nearly as long. In this time, she has managed to build connections with demigods and gods alike. However, she feels little attachment to the mortal world where she has only ever known rejection.
Percy’s home life is marked by extremes. Sally did her best to give him love and attention, but he was also abused by Gabe, written off by the school system, and experienced financial struggles. Percy’s background set him up to be a very loving kid with a strong hatred for injustice. He was abused for years, but still knew what it was to be shown love.
Annabeth’s home life has left her extremely self-conscious and afraid of abandonment. She was homeless and fending for herself at age 7, then was picked up by two teens who could barely help themselves. Then Thalia and Luke walked out of her life too. Annabeth has never known true, unconditional love.
There is just so much to explore here, and I really hope that their initial “enemies to friends” takes advantage of that. Even their “friends to lovers” could be so much more interesting. I imagine their differences being most pronounced during their TBoTL angsty era. Annabeth’s insecurity about Rachel would be a lot cooler if it was less “clingy jealous girl” and more “terrified of being left behind again”. Likewise, Percy would suffer so much during their estrangement because he would have so much love for Annabeth but nowhere to put it. As Aphrodite predicted, not easy indeed. ;)
Anyways! This went on too long but lmk your critiques.

WISDOM SAGA THOUGHTS 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Guys, this saga had me in shambles. I had to wait til the morning of the 30th to listen so listening to it before breakfast WRECKED me.
Legendary 🐕
The instrumentals go so hard like it's so chill
In the first verse, Telemachus reminds me so much of Polites. like bring the world so light? open arms who?
the pre chorus has some of my favorite lyrics jay has ever written. like 'Cause I'm stuck with your stories/But no clue who you are/And no idea if you're dead or just too far/Somebody tell me, come and give me a sign/If I fight those monsters, is it you I'll find?
ALSO THIS SONG HAVING THE MELODY FROM FULL SPEED AHEAD THE "polites gear up, you and i'll go ahead" PART
the chorus i love because it references all the monsters Ody has had to fight
The second verse is so like real. like Telemachus is just singing his heart out about his problems
The suitors sound so much like the sailors, which hurts my heart. like these are the voices of the men that were friends with ody. now they are tryin to get his wife
Telemachus' last line is sending me like "If I fight this monster/Is it you I'll find?" like bro you find his old bestie, badass senorita
Little wolf 🐺
So this song sounds really good musically. I can see the evil sutiors from the "dark" and "evil" sounds jay uses
The chorus/ what the suitors are chanting is really cool
Athena coming to his rescue has my whole heart like its so cute
Telemachus is just a little baby like he's my little boy
love Love LOVE how athena turned the suitors chant into her own like she's in his corner rooting for him
Also Teagan's riff is so prettyyyyy
We'll be fine 👍
This is my favorite song in this saga. I just wish it was longerrr
Like Athena literally describing Ody and comparing him to Telemachus is just so sweet
Also the lyrics call back to my goodbye because ody said "What's a title that a goddess could lend/ If I'll never sleep at night?" and in this song Athena says "Maybe, if I helped you reach your goal/Life could be that bright/I could sleep at night"
Telemachus is just so gentle with Athena, I think that is what she needs because i guess she thought Telemachus would hate her because of what she did to his dad but Telemachus just has so much Polites energy like bro is precious
THIS LINE SPECIFICALLY "I don't think he'll mind/If not his friend, then mine" 😭😭😭😭😭
Both of their voices blend so well together like its so cute
"You're a good kid" AHHHHHHHHHH
Love in Paradise 🏝
Athena calling him old friend has my heart
The callbacks to the other songs is just amazing. they blend so well together, i kinda want to make it my ringtone
Calypso's beat is so good like its so beachy and calm
the "did you know you talk in your sleep?" line reminds me of the scene from PJO from the 4th book when Percy wakes up on Calypso's island
the silence after "she's my wife" is soooo funny to me
Calypso's verse is so good like the notes and beat are so pretty
the goddess can't die line beat is soo good like her laugh is so pretty
THE TIME JUMP !!!!!!
Ody calling back to the underworld lyrics is amazing to me
THE STAY IN MY OPEN ARMS LINE HAS ME DEAD LIKE DON'T DISRESPECT MY POLITES POOKIE
I literally was thinking last night, 'if i hear polites in the wisdom saga, i will be losing my shit' can confirm, have lost my shit
Polites, Eury, and Ody's mom's voices all blend together so well like OMG it hurts
and Ody calling out for Athena is so cute like for once he's admitting he needs help
So, this saga is officially my favorite. I'll post god games soon. That one has a lot more to unpack. I love this community sm. Kinda sad that we didn't get to hear any Penelope tho.
Stay weird, guys

My guilty pleasure ship is Copollo… those two make me FERAL!!!
THE DYNAMIC!! THE FORMER FEELING FOR ONE ANOTHER!!! THE FEELINGS THAT PROBABLY STILL LINGER!!! THE TRAGEDY AND TOXIC PART OF IT ALL!!!
I wish we got more scenes, their drama was SO GOOD!!! I often reread the Flashback scenes CONSTANTLY and I just- their relationship fills me with SO MANY FEELINGS!!!
Istg if they ever get adapted to Live Action… they better do it justice! This is an important relationship that shaped Apollo! He can’t even look into water without getting flashback for gods sake! I really hope that if it does ever get adapted that they don’t take away they’re romantic relationship, because it’s such a key aspect to both of them.
I wish we got to see more of their dynamic, I loved how they both interacted in TDP when Apollo enters the stadium and Commodus semi-flirts with him and when Apollo charges at Commodus and when Commodus shouts at Apollo that “HE WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY BLESSINGS!!” I- these two are so dramatic and I LOVE it! I also like how Apollo still describes Commodus with “perfectly tanned calves” and “perfectly sculpted abs” like Apollo normal people don’t often comment on someone’s appearance like that unless they harbor some attraction to them. Commodus is also just… he is so driven by Apollo’s betrayal and harbors such hatred towards him, and how he used to have so much love for him. How they both loved each other, but Apollo couldn’t bare to see Commodus die by anyone else’s hands, and, for the second time in Apollo’s life, he fulfills that, he kills him twice, and isn’t it poetic, how Commodus, once again, dies with Apollo’s hands wrapped around his throat?
I just- these two!! Their complex dynamic is one of the reasons I adore the book series. I’m honestly shocked by how much you can talk about their relationship even with how little they interact. Their dynamic and how it was written is, to me, something I rarely ever see in media, with the bitter feelings and the lingering emotions… In my honest opinion, i’m not ashamed to say that Apollo and Commodus are THE BEST SHIP in the PJO-verse. I ship them more than I shipped any of the other relationships in the novels since I’m more of a platonic friendship type of person, but these two… I rarely ship anything, so to have these two invoke so much emotions within me… to me, it’s truly a one of a kind experience.
#trials of apollo#copollo#toa apollo#toa commodus#lester papadopoulos#sorry for the rant#these two just… bring out so many emotions within me

I haven't watched it yet but everyone saying the show is doing such a great job of showing Percy's anger, more so than the books, is really making me chuckle. Maybe it's because I ditched the PJO-verse after HOO, and never got into any of Riordan's other books (just outgrew it, I guess) while still re-reading the original series but. I actually feel like it's the fandom who seems to have forgotten Percy's characterization.
He's either a silly idiot or "persassy" or "dark percy" in the fandom with almost zero inbetween, but at least from what I've seen in the gifs floating around, Percy matches his book counterpart pretty well. He was a silly little guy, but he was also always doing this for his mom, he was always mad at the gods for abandoning him. He faces up against Ares, he complains about doing stuff for the Olympians from the start. He was SO bitter that Poseidon claimed him just so Percy would clear his name, he always only said yes to the quest bc Chiron said he had to go to the Underworld - which meant a shot at saving Sally. Ofc, it's paradoxical with his desire to win his dad's approval (... in the books at least, I know they changed the sacrifice scene, so I dunno if this will remain), bc he's an abandoned kid who wants to understand why Dad would leave and wonders if it's because of him, but -- "I'm impertinent", it was a complaint just as much as a desire to be seen.
Basically from what I've seen, Percy seems to have the exact vibe of his book self, I think it's people who have forgotten it since his characterization has been continuously dilluted ever since the second series came out to the point where he's almost like a wholly different person in the current stories.

do you have something similar planned after you finish troubleverse? i'm a big fan how you actually incorporated trouble's godly lineage into their personality + storyline bcs usually it's only ever used as a plot point like hey so the reader's supposed to be sunny and bright bcs they're an apollo or they're stunning beautiful sexy and all the adjectives bcs they're an aphrodite or they're moody and cuss a lot bcs they're a child of hades (which is not necessarily a bad thing but it gets incredibly boring fast– for me– after a while esp with all the stereotyping) absolutely in love with all your works!! they're a page turner <33
this is so kind to wake up to!! im so glad you noticed the small details weaved in, it honestly helps me further the decisions i make for trouble and luke's story <33
i'm most likely not going to do a bigger verse like this for anything pjo/luke centric because erm this is highkey my biggest project ever and its crazy that today marks 4 months of partners in crime?? hard to wrap my head around really
but im always down to continue to write little blurbs and in betweens for them or just luke in general; he's carved a spot in my heart no one can take him away from
thank you for reading 🥹

Taken in by the Dumas family (Angel Dearly in the Enchanted Forest) and still lives with them in Storybrooke

The Witching Hour ( Teen Wolf ) – extensive supernatural/hunter family verse, characters are still being named but currently have 16 characters cast
Originally part of the Calaveras, one man saw a young witch girl about to die in a witch burning, killed everyone who was part of it and then adopted her More defectors joined, not all related but consider themselves a family Hunt monsters, not the supernatural (would hunt Deucalion or Peter, would also hunt Kate & Gerard), take in kids whose families were lost to the supernatural world (supernatural kids whose families were killed by hunters, also hunters whose parents were killed by supernatural creatures, also kids who aren’t either but whose parents died in the crossfire) Travel wherever they’re needed but home base is in Argentina

I have a question about mom Loki AU
How would the gods react to finding out that baby Percy's real mother is Sally?
How would the Nordic and Greek family react? What about romantic and platonic yanderes? Would they accept? Would someone secretly order Sally's murder?
I don't know if Poseidon would react well to learning that baby Percy was generated by another God, even if it is an alternative version of him, he will probably justify, to himself, that the alternative version continues to be his essence he is older so HE is the original version while PJ Poseidon is the copy so since baby Percy is made of half of that Poseidon's ichor she is also made of half of his ichor
What interests me most is Loki's reaction, I feel like he wouldn't accept it, this baby came from him so it's his daughter, accepting that your dear little baby only exists because of a human woman and that he was only a temporary charmer is an unacceptable idea
The humans' reactions would also be interesting because at the same time they believe that a baby should be returned to its family, they also realize how dangerous the PJ world is for baby Percy, why return her to a world where she will be where Will she have to initially grow up in poverty only to later grow up being hunted and killed? If her mother really loves her, she would agree to leave her daughter in a place where she will be properly raised with love and protection certainly their opinion was not influenced by being slightly platonic yanderes
And the valkyries would be desperately trying to convince Sally and PJ Poseidon to leave baby Percy in this universe, they know that if baby Percy is taken the gods will destroy this and the PJ universe trying to get her back
Shiva is fighting tooth and nail for baby Percy to stay so he can delight in the sight of her and his own son playing, no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is going to stop this play date
not only would they be pissed as fuck, but they're also NEVER going to accept sally as percy's mom. eventually, they'd deal with the fact that sally was the first person to actually carry percy in the womb, but they won't ever accept HER. partly because they want baby percy and partly because sally's a human, so they're just never going to accept her or care that she was the bio mom. sally's human, she doesn't have any rights or say to them.
loki is downright disgusted at the fact that HIS baby's bio mom is actually a human who, more importantly, wants her back. he's not even gonna bother hiring an assassin or trying to kill her secretly, ITS ON SIGHT THE SECOND HE SEES HER. hell, he could be taking baby percy on a walk with a stroller and if he sees sally, he's jumping that poor woman with no hesitation 😭😭😭
poseidon is probably gonna be the second most pissed about this right behind loki. while loki's got beef with sally, he's got beef with pjo!poseidon lol. he will degrade the shit outta that man and point out every singly little flaw his counterpart has: he's practically a kid, he has a deadbeat to all his 1234282347 kids, his seas are filthy, his family's a mess, he's a serial cheater like zeus, he isn't even allowed to RAISE percy so why should he have her, etc etc. he actually brings up a LOT of good points, which is when the ror humans start to lean more for the ror parents
what really makes the ror humans go for ror!poseidon and loki is how demigods' lives work back in pjo verse. it's way too dangerous and the fact that the gods can't even interfere in their lives to protect them is ultimately what makes them choose the ror!parents over sally and pjo!poseidon. the same for the valkyries tbh. they'd be more sympathetic for them unlike the ror!gods, but they really rather percy stay in their universe instead since she would actually have a higher chance of survival

9, 17, 22 (fav wn character to write), 38, 42, 50
9. how do you find new fic to read?
i used to actually just browse the tag every day on ao3 but now that i write probably 80% of the time i only have a few authors i read and then i find stuff on here or i’m forever happy to have people send me stuff.
mostly i don’t have to try find fic anymore because i have so many talented mutuals on here i’m constantly being fed 🥰🥰
17. what highly specific au do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
fjdjsjdjdj well earlier this evening it was my 17776 au, especially the way i’m writing it which is riffing off of This Is How You Lose The Time War in terms of style and approach. ava and bea as deep space probes is like… an out-there concept. i definitely thought i would be the only person interested in it.
aside from that… i have another space au based on the “Swarm” episode of Love, Death & Robots (also would kind of like to do one based on “the very pulse of the machine” AND “bad travelling”. the concepts from that series are kiss forever and ever) i feel like that’s pretty solidly niche, but honestly the people in this fandom are so good about weird concepts so,,,
22. who is your fav wn character to write?
ava. hands down. this surprises me sometimes but GOD. she’s so gorgeous to write and i always have the best time writing ava chapters. especially in star wars au and pjo au and chess au and- nevermind. in everything she’s my favourite to write. my first ever fic (oranges are the only fruit) was ava pov. i just adore her.
this might sound weird because i love lilith and bea so much (and i do i do i do) but they’re… like bleeding to write whereas ava is just,,, she’s light
38. did any of your fics get surprisingly popular? which ones? why do you think they are so successful?
i don’t think any of my fics are very popular by most standards. my style isn’t conducive to it but i didn’t think anyone would read chess au, so that was surprising. no idea why i guess chess is just really sexy and makes me weird and insane. and also it’s ava pov.
42. have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for some reason?
YEAH. kei’s first comment on ligaments made me cry intermittently for three days straight. i have it saved as a pdf and as a picture on my phone. i just couldn’t believe someone had understood my intentions so well and been nice to me like,,, am forever and ever grateful for that comment
but any thoughtful comment does stand out to me, or ones where people say “i read this eating cheerios in bed” or “i saved this for friday as a treat” idk there’s something that just… makes me so emotional about how my fic fits into peoples’ lives. it’s why i write at all
50. answer any question you want or talk about something
oh. well today i was reading about Kēlen, a constructed language that sets out to violate one of the universal features or linguistic rules of human languages - namely that all human languages contain verbs.
it’s worth reading about i won’t explain it all here but i thought that was pretty interesting.
oh i can’t help myself here’s the ring verse from lotr in kēlen
the original for reference
#ask meme#these were GREAT questions thank youuu#someone talk to me about constructed languages i need to eat them
