I'm sorry to do this bc I know you get so many ppl venting and you have your own shit to deal with and yet ppl on here constantly implicitly ask you to console them which is incredibly emotionally labour intensive. However all that being said. I found out my cat who is 9 but is very young looking and active and shows no sign of pain or suffering has large cell lymphoma (general prognosis 6-9 months) and I'm literally broken. She's my best friend. I've been through years where I've had no friends but I've always had her and she's everything to me and I've known a lot of cats who live to late teens so I had expected that for her and this has come out of nowhere and is just so soul destroying because she is my whole world and I love her so so much. she's literally saved my life (have been at the point of kms so many times but didn't for her) and now she probably wont be here next year and I don't know how to keep existing without her and I didn't know who else to tell. I really appreciate your kind and honest presence on this site it's very cleansing and healing and ik this is a parasocial thing to say/feel but you are like a friend to so many. so thanks. even just having a space to say this stuff is invaluable. You have helped and comforted and offered love and insight to so many people despite your own suffering. Much love to you, I hope the universe treats you with lots of kindness going forward.

i am so so sorry to hear this - sometimes i honestly can't believe how cruel life can be. i wish there was something tangible i could say that would make a change to what you're feeling but my experience with grief (all types of grief esp preemptive grief like what you're dealing with) has proven to me that words often ring hollow when you're going through it. i do want to offer some understanding and some comfort despite that, i just know it may be hard for you to register right now and that's alright. losing a pet is so so deeply painful and it's completely normal to be devastated and taken aback by this news - anyone would be. at the same time it sounds like your cat is deeply lucky to have you and to be loved so completely by someone. while what you're both going through is horrific, i am so glad she has you to take care of her and that she ended up having a wonderful life with you - the gift you have given her and continue to give her every day just by being her owner is huge and i hope you continue to remind yourself that as you confront there next few months. she is warm and fed and taken care of and she has the best chance of living longer with her condition bc of the care and love you continue to show her. i know this is much much easier said than done but please try to take it one day at a time and make every moment count with her - it's easy to get lost in the idea of losing her but she is still here and you still have time together, albeit not as much time as you both deserve. i can't stand how much of a gamble of luck everything seems to be and how horrible things happen to ppl and animals who truly deserve so much more - that anger, despair and incredulity still hits me day after day and i feel it very hard on your behalf rn. you have every right in the world to process that sense of feeling like your soul has been destroyed on whatever timeline works for you. as long as you continue to move forward, hour to hour or minute to minute despite it all.

are you able to talk to any friends/family about this? i only ask bc pet loss is one of the hardest things in the world to go through and i think having some sort of super system could make the days feel a little more manageable. if not, please feel free to message me and share updates, stories, vents etc about your cat and how you're doing - i lost my childhood dog a few yrs back and i do understand. it's such a heavy feeling to carry around with you all the time. i would also recommend joining a pet loss support group as another option too, bc so so many people sadly completely get what youre going through. i hope your little girl is doing OK today and that you are taking care of yourself as much as you feel able to as you process this news. if you need to break down, go to sleep, scream, punch pillows, be numb - that's alright. there's no wrong way to react to this. i just hope you give yourself some grace as you do. sending so so much love to you both - and thank you so much for the insanely kind words by the way. you didn't have to say that and it really made my night better that you did. so sorry you're in this position. non-biased? i would say she is a good pickup if u have an atk% scaling dps who isnt skill point hungry, or have a dedicated dot team that could use a sustain which would benefit their dmg output since she buffs the teams atk !!

she is an amazing sustain/support when invested in, esp her 20% teamwide energy regen when her ult is lvl 10, along with her talent that heals & cleanses allies when they take a turn/ult if she has her stacks !! tho, i would say if u have luocha and fu xuan, then she isnt a necessity, but more of an option to have if u want to boost certain team comps (as mentioned in the above paragraph).

an additional note i would like to point out is that compared to the other abundance healers which are pretty straightforward in what they do (*cough* luocha with his comfy healing and aoe debuff strip *cough*), huohuo is easier to use for those who understand rotations and energy !! she has a different value compared to sustains like luocha and fu xuan, so it really just comes down to what u need/want ^^

despite all this though, with her banner 4* lineup along with the upcoming banners in 1.6, depending on who u have already/what stage in the game ur at (early/mid/end), then it might be worth waiting for her rerun with a better lineup. her banner is kind of in an awkward spot where she is a super good unit, but with a really bad 4* roster (glaring at the hsr devs for doing her banner so dirty as we speak ¬¬), being directly after jingliu and topazs banners, and characters like hanya in the second phase, ruan mei & dr ratio in 1.6, its more likely to skip purely bc of these factors ;w; i mean even then i would still recommend getting her—

overall, i would say if u like her character, enjoy her kit + what she brings to ur account, and arent hyperfocused on the upcoming banners, then she is most definitely a really good pull !! as for me i just wanted another sustain bc my luocha cant be my only built sustain :') (pointedly ignores my e1 gepard with his sig lightcone 🧍‍♀️)

also imo there is no powercreep between her and luocha. its just different roles and playstyles 🧍‍♀️

Neff’s Abilities

Neff has a variety of abilities being both just a spiritual human and a Dreamer.  This list will be explaining what they are, along with their restrictions.

Sight - Neff has a heightened Sixth Sense and is in touch with her Third Eye. This gives her the ability to see things like auras/energies, and ghosts/spirits. She can also see time rifts/distortions. Empath/Aura Reading - Empaths are people who can strongly feel the thoughts and emotions of others. Auras are an energy that emanate from people, places, and things. Neff can physically see and feel these auras, thoughts, and emotions, which can get EXTREMELY overwhelming when in places where the population is more than two or three. Because of this she’s built up a wall to block out those energies.

⭒❃.✮:▹  Since it’s taking a bit of her OWN energy to do this and she doesn’t want to be chronically fatigued all the time her wall is only enough to keep out HUMAN energies. This means beings who are MORE than human may be able to slip through, though it does NOT mean she’ll instantly know exactly what they are as there are many types of auras for the same ‘species’. She may sense a familiarity if she’s met someone similar but the only sure thing she’ll know is if someone is human or not. 

⭒❃.✮:▹  To note, the only energies she’s familiar with are as follows.

⭒❃.✮:▹  Humans, Dreams, Nightmares, Ghosts/Spirits/(Un)dead

⭒❃.✮:▹  Auras can be different colors depending on emotion/intent, and their physical manifestation can also look different depending on the being it belongs to. Things like trauma can also affect how an aura appears.

⭒❃.✮:▹  This ability can be considered a type of clairvoyance/ESP, while also categorizing her as a Psychic/Medium. 

(Spiritual) Healing - Neff also has the ability to channel energies between persons which can heal both the body AND spirit. As usual, the bigger the “wound” the more energy she uses and the more time she’ll need to recharge. 

⭒❃.✮:▹  As much as she may fear otherwise, because of her desire to understand others her aura is calm and comforting. ‘Naturally healing’ as some may describe. 

Dream Walking/Reading - The ability to enter the dreams of others. Neff has actually been able to do this her whole life but hasn’t realized when it’s happened as a child. Only when she’s gotten older and learned from her Grandmother has she been able to control them more.

⭒❃.✮:▹  After being assigned a Dreamer by the deity of the universe, Neff has really been able to hone into this ability.

⭒❃.✮:▹  And because of that, her interest in dreams, nightmares, and desires has added the ability to give personal readings based on dreams. 

Astral Projection - An out of body experience in which the soul/spirit separates from the physical body and can travel around the universe. There are two versions of this that Neff is capable of doing.

⭒❃.✮:▹  The first is a lighter and more gentle version during meditation and energy cleansing spells. She’ll find a place of zen to rest and recharge in before returning to the ‘physical’ world.

⭒❃.✮:▹  The second is more akin to a ‘between worlds’ kind of existence. Dreamers can enter the realm between dream and waking, taking on an identity closer to a poltergeist. 

⭒❃.✮:▹  This however is EXTREMELY dangerous and can cause dissociation along with deterioration of the mind and body. In doing this the soul and the body become one within a realm where they simultaneously do and do not exist. To stay manifested takes an EXTREME amount of energy so it is advised against staying for too long.

⭒❃.✮:▹  To even reach this realm one must have complete uninterrupted concentration OR be in a compromised mental state. This includes but is not limited to fighting unconsciousness (be it from lack of sleep or blood loss), hard dissociation, mental instability/breakdowns, etc.

Time Travel - The ability to traverse between different time periods and universes. This comes with Neff’s role as a Dreamer and is self explanatory. Usually it happens randomly, but she’s working on being able to control it.

Tak & Religion ;; 

As I’ve stated in a previous post, my post-show-verse Tak follows the religion of pre-empire Irk. This involves the worship of the creator moon goddess, Yuri; her male councilor and life-mate, the sun that they called Rach; and the homeworld, Mother Kaz. Prayers are also commonly offered to ancestors and to past hive queens who live amongst the stars. However, because the Irken homeworld has long since been razed most of its flora and fauna destroyed, and Tak is living in exile on Earth, she has adopted human Wiccan and neopagan practices and incorporated them into her Irken beliefs.

She has an altar in her room dedicated to Yuri. Rather than have representations of all the elements, like a traditional Wiccan altar, she has an incense burner (to symbolize air), an empty bowl for libations and spells, moonstones, and one large black candle. Instead of the traditional pentacle, the altar contains the symbol of the clan of Yura-- a full purple moon with antennae and two hands held upward and two hands reaching downward. 

What spell she casts is controlled by the current phase of the moon. For example, anything she does will be more potent during a full moon, as opposed to a waning moon, which will deal more with cleansing. 

Many of the herbs and flowers for holidays and spells come from her own garden. 

She’ll meditate every night on her roof, if she can, especially once her ESP strengthens. It’s her way of analyzing the events of the day and seeking advice from her ancestors. Malka tends to be the most vocal, since Tak is her direct descendant (and her hope of seeing the empire crumble), but she’ll occasionally hear from Malka’s siblings or Hive Queen Tuli (Malka’s mother) or even Yuri Herself. 

She has a bit of a phobia regarding possession because a) being a Yura makes her incredibly sensitive and open to the spiritual realm and b) having a part of yourself ripped out and be replaced by something else? The control brains already did that to her. She doesn’t want it to happen again. So, she regularly cleanses her house with sage, circles the house with salt, and leaves sigils of protection around the place. Every doorway of her house is also decorated with obsidian crystals, which are shields against negativity. 

She’s really into healing crystals and old Irken chants. First-aid will often accompany the aforementioned. 

On Irk before the rise of the empire, there were only three main celebrations (aside from the coronation of a new hive queen, a marriage, a death, or a birth): planting (similar to Beltane), harvest (similar to Lughnasadh and Samhain), and the coming of winter/drought (similar to Yule). However, again, because Mother Kaz was severely polluted by the war machine, these practices are now harder to follow. 

As a member of Yura, Tak was drawn Moon sabbats, so she celebrates Samhain, Beltane, Imbolc, and Lughnasadh. 

During Imbolc (Feb. 1-2nd), she’ll decorate the house with sacred plants like iris and basil; light a candle after sunset to celebrate the union of Yuri and Rach, and likewise the birth of the Irken race; and make a spring-themed feast for friends. During Beltane (April 30th-May 1st), she will decorate her altar with purple and silver and bake foods that include cinnamon and apples. If still single, she will dance alone around a tall fruit-bearing tree. If romantically attached to someone, she will re-enact an old world ritual in which one of them will blindfold themselves and be guided by the other up the tree. If they successfully work together to pluck a fruit and climb back down without falling, then that means that Kaz blesses their union. During Lughnasadh (July 31st/Aug. 1st), she’ll decorate her altar with heather and fruit from the local market or her garden. She’ll concentrate on being thankful for food, circumstances, and family, and at the end of the night, she will sing a traditional Yura song that gives praise to Mother Kaz for the harvest. And finally, during Samhain (October 31st), she will decorate her altar with sage. She will have a silent meal once the sun goes down in which she welcomes her ancestors to eat with her, and she will also engage in what the Yura call future-seeking, entering a trance-like state and discerning important events that will happen.

Margarita has the Anti-Venom/Alternom symbiote who can mimic any type of clothing whatsoever, as well as blending in his surroundings, rendering him invisible. The Symbiote has augmented all of its host's physical abilities to superhuman levels equal to, and in some cases greater than, Spider-Man's.

Superhuman Strength: Anti-Venom/Alternom enables Margarita to lift over 70 tons. However this is not his true limit as his strength increases with his variable muscle mass.

Superhuman Durability: Anti-Venom/Alternom's body is highly resistant to physical injury, capable of withstanding assault from high-caliber bullets as well as attacks from super powered individuals. When distributed at a typical thickness over Margarita's body, the Symbiote is capable of absorbing bullets from small-arm weapons firing conventional ammunition. The Anti-Venom/Alternom symbiote is invulnerable to the traditional weaknesses of symbiotes, fire and sonics.

Superhuman Stamina: Anti-Venom/Alternom is also capable of surviving in harmful areas for long periods of time such as underwater or in toxic gases, the symbiote filtering breathable air to the host.

Accelerated Healing Factor: Additionally, the symbiote is capable of healing injuries in the host at a faster rate than normal human healing allows. The symbiote is also capable of healing injuries and illnesses that current human medical care cannot such as cancer. This is even more advanced for Anti-Venom/Alternom, allowing him to regenerate from a shotgun wound to the head in seconds.

Genetic Memory: The symbiote possesses some limited psychic ability, making it capable of obtaining information from its hosts and even other people and symbiotes simply by touch. It can however, be forced to forget information if the symbiote is inflicted with heavy trauma.

Offspring Detection: The symbiote is also capable of psychically detecting its offspring, however with effort this ability can be blocked.

Wall-Crawling: The symbiote is capable of Spider-Man’s ability to cling to walls by controlling the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundary layers.

Webbing Generation: Anti-Venom/Alternom can shoot strands of the alien’s substance. The symbiote’s substance seems to be composed of tough, flexible fibers of organic polymers, which regenerate swiftly after "shedding". In addition to creating webbing, Brock can use the symbiote in the form of tentacles or tendrils to attack or ensnare his opponents.

Constituent-Matter Generation: Anti-Venom/Alternom can also use the same substance comprising the symbiote in the form of constituent white matter or tentacles, and uses it in this method for lethal force against criminals. Anti-Venom can send a part of the symbiote and direct its movements into a victim's body, smothering them from the inside.

ESP (Spider-Sense): Anti-Venom/Alternom also possesses an extra sensory ability similar to Spider-Man’s spider-sense. This response is not as complicated as Spider-Man’s inherent sense since the symbiote can detect danger from every direction and conduct giving Brock in plenty of time. It's a lot more efficient than Spider-Man’s spider-sense because it takes less time to sense the danger, and Margarita’s reflexes are faster than Spider-Man’s, because they are enhanced by the symbiote for instance Anti-Venom/Alternom can dodge a gunshot or a barrage of bullets.

Immunity to Spider-Man's Spider Sense: Due to Spider-Man was a host of the Venom symbiote, and as a result his offspring, is able to bypass Spider-Man's spider-sense. As such, Anti-Venom/Alternom is capable of attacking Spider-Man without alerting him, making Anti-Venom/Alternom a deadly foe.

Camouflage Capabilities: The symbiote is capable of mimicking the appearance of any form of clothing, camouflaging with its surroundings, and even mimicking other people. Brock's preferred form of clothing was a white shirt, jacket and pants.

Stretching and deforming: Anti-Venom/Alternom can stretch and deform his body and increase his size.

External Symbiote Rejection: The white symbiote has the ability to reject the Venom symbiote and presumably all of its children as well.

Constituent-Matter Manipulation: Anti-Venom/Alternom can manipulate his matter to enlarge or stretch his body in order to augment his attacks. Anti-Venom/Alternom also can morph his hands into blades similar to his nephew Carnage and he can create a shield.

Impurity Sense: Anti-Venom/Alternom can sense foreign substances within a person's body which includes symbiotes, radiation, narcotics, viruses, and other diseases.

Wish there'd been a scene with Wingul (AND JIAO), but oh well. Anyway, she's starting to realize why she's so anxious and the reason for the contradiction. That's something I totally missed on first playthrough, I thought it was all about her developing feelings for Jude (due to the Agria and Presa scenes), but it's actually about her identity as Maxwell. Though I guess you can't really know that on first playthrough, since the truth only comes up later. But it's interesting to see Milla knew then, way before it's laid out clearly for the players. Also Musee's creepy. Nothing new here. Oh, but I forgot to mention, Alvin's stopped being shady (or has he?). His momma's dead and he hates Gilland, so he's now 100% on our side. On the way, everyone's mana gets sucked up and sent to Elympios, showing Alvin was right about the fuel thing, and Milla almost confesses to Jude, but they get interrupted by Agria. On the Zirnitra, Ivar decides to join the Chimeriad (the actual Chimeriad's glare when he says that is wonderful), and we go our own way. Alvin explains a bit more about Elympios and how Elympions don't have a mana lobe so that's why they need spyrixes. When we confront Gilland he explains about Celsius and spyrites - spyrixes that don't kill spirits. But to them they're just tools (you're the tool Gilland!) and he's an jerk anyway so we kick his ass. He then dies because of the spyrite. Serves you right. Gaius and the others arrive then and this time they're letting Milla destroy the Lance. Hah, looks like we're cooperating more and more... except we get interrupted by Musee's Gravity spell and Milla gets the grand idea to sacrifice herself to save everyone. Milla bby don't do that :'( But the (now freed) Four interfere and save her soul from cleansing, attempting to revive her as herself. Which doesn't really work at first as she's lost her memories (she progressively gets some of them back though). I gotta say I absolutely love the spirit world part. It seems bland if you just go straight for the story part, but it's actually a lot of fun to explore, talk to NPC, listen to the Four's comments, do the little sidequests... I had to change the difficulty back to normal for the Musee fight because I suck at 1-on-1 battles (esp without healer). After that Milla gets her memory data from Maxwell's replica and goes up the Hallowmont while Musee gets mad about Maxwell's lack of answer and flies to the human world to do who knows what. At the summit, the Four get summoned by Maxwell, and Milla follows them. There, she sees Jude and the others fighting against Maxwell, and she finally remembers who she is, making her come back in style. We absolutely destroy Maxwell's ass (yay Gravity Well spam), and then convince him to stop being a grumpy old man and believe in humanity for once. He agrees, but then enter Gaius, who looks pissed for some reason (it's funny to play this from Milla's Side, because last time we saw him he was almost becoming friendly). He then starts spouting nonsense about becoming Maxwell himself since the old one is useless, traps him with the Lance of Kresnik (he got it in the end...), and then there's that gross scene where he pulls a sword out of Musee I'd rather forget. Srsly developers, couldn't you find another way >_> He tries to send the party back to Rieze Maxia (instead of killing them, he's still nice even when he's mad), but Maxwell sends us to Elympios instead, where we conveniently end in the care of Emperor Peony Alvin's cousin Balan. to be continued...
