i'm pretty sure there are similar hc to this but the headcanon i have about mr alfred pennyworth -one that you can pry from my dead cold hands- is that he's some kind of eldritch creature that took interest in humanity a few centuries ago and decided to become part of human society.

he was intrigued and fascinated by them so he chose to live among them, as one of them. he doesn't wish to alter anything majorly; yeah he's been part of wars and whatnot, but he mainly enjoys watching and observing how humanity grows all on their own.

alfred pennyworth was not his first name, but it's the one he's come to cherish the most because of the memories that come attached.

the batclan know yet not know. they CHOOSE not to know. cause alfred is alfred.

there have been huge uncanny valley-esque moments, but it's wtv cause alfred. is. alfred.

like when the lights always flicker when alfred is immensely displeased with someone. or how alfred always seems to understand the message, no matter how vague, or even non-verbal, you are about it. or how alfred always seems fine no matter how many years have passed. or how strong and able bodied he seems to be. or how he's always there, just when you need assistance. or how he knows where everyone is at any time. or how you would think he'd be a bit forgetful in his old age, but the man remembers every tiny detail, from things like mentioning you liked art to things like what color were the socks he laid out for one of his charges. or how even the gotham rogues know to steer clear of that butler because last time one of them tried, well, they haven't spoken on the subject but arkham staff say that they have been quiet ever since, only occasionally scream for no apparent reason when left alone for too long.

alfred is alfred, any bat would say. and that's what it is, really. alfred is alfred.

extra: when you go to the museum, you can see small little depictions of him in old paintings and even writings about a creature who took to mankind and made it its mission to nurture and care those who were down on their luck and help them achieve a higher purpose. alfred was there for many others before the batclan but he will admit that the batclan is so far who he has become fondest of.

Starbreaker is a fun dynamic to play with, they don’t have to be healthy and they don’t have to be in love to be whatever they are. Like I imagine that for Porter, killing Jace didn’t mean much it was a means to an end, it served a purpose, it could’ve been anybody. Love was the farthest thing from porters mind. Obsession was the closest he ever got to that. He had a goal to achieve and that was all that mattered.

Maybe Jace resented Porter the entire time, maybe he wanted him dead but didn’t feel strong enough to do it. Maybe he took comfort in whatever stockholm syndrome came with being tied to some like that, reveled in it. Because it was the most normal part of whatever else his life was for almost two years.

In canon, they’re dead, yes. But through creation they got second, third, fifth, hundredth, and infinite chances at life. Maybe in some of those, when the dust settles, they still choose each other because in a way just get each other, they get the obsession and the need and maybe over time something changes. That need becomes a want that becomes a choice to let the other in, to see the other for all they are no matter how visceral and to say, despite it all, I love you.

könig is the type of guy to accidentally trip someone by moving out of the way right as they go around him.

soap has done the “oh excuse me.. oops haha excuse me- oh excuse me sorry- okay you go that way i go the other way-“ so many times in public with random ass people. he does it on purpose.

ghost bumps shoulders with so many “alpha men” just to piss them off. motherfucker won’t move out of the way if one of those guys is walking towards him. he also nearly knocks them over every time without even putting any effort into it. thinks it’s funny when they start to say something but stop because he won’t give them a second glance.

price also RARELY moves out of the way but usually doesn’t end up bumping shoulders because the other man moves first. very much a gentleman and will step off of the sidewalk completely (if it’s small & busy) to allow a woman to pass him.

gaz tries to hold his ground but always ends up twisting to avoid any contact. was the friend of the high school friend group who was either walking behind the others or completely off the sidewalk.

laswell holds her ground. will stare at anyone (mostly men) who don’t move out of her way. men will hold the door open for her and she just nods as a thanks, verbally says “thank you, hun,” when a woman does tho.
