Problems (objective and personal) I'm not seeing discussed a lot w this new WatcherTV thing, in no particular order:
-Alienates people internationally who literally CANNOT GET the streaming service!
-Alienates casual fans who don't watch or want to watch all of their shows. Putting down 60 bucks a year to watch just one or two shows is kind of insane, at least for me.
-The volume of content Watcher has produced historically hasn't been enough to justify a separate streamer. I understand there's no way a small team could compete with something like Netflix, obviously, but that's what you're trying to do by putting yourself in the streamer market.
-Will this streamer be secure? What steps are in place to protect your viewers info? ESPECIALLY payment info.
-Will it be easily watchable on multiple devices? I watch YouTube videos on my phone at work 90% of the time, or at home on my TV thru my switch. Is this a browser only deal?
-What are the internet requirements for this? Believe it or not most streaming services won't run on my internet personally. I don't have any for that reason. I can watch YouTube on 360p, or on my 2-bar-reception phone data. Not everywhere has stable reliable internet.
-The suddenness and totality of the move was going to be jarring no matter what, if the idea had been introduced gradually or started as a hybrid model to test audience interest there wouldn't be nearly this amount of pushback.
-I understand the people saying "pay artists!!" Bc I am one, and I get that their quality is expensive and they have a whole company's worth of people to support. I do actually think their work is worth paying for! Everyone's is! But convincing anyone to pay for something they previously got for free is going to be a hard sell. They were still getting paid before, they're now just asking us to pay instead of the advertisers. Idk about you, but that's a way bigger hit to my pocketbook than a multimillion dollar company's bank account.
-I get that YouTube can be a really shitty place to be a creator sometimes, and that being beholden to advertisers is something they don't want to be. It's why they left Buzzfeed! They already have a patreon and merch and it's clearly not been enough for their ambitions. But shooting yourself in the foot because your running shoes are wearing out isn't going to make you a better marathon runner. They had to know that there was going to be a not small portion of their audience unwilling to make this move with them (and again, lots literally aren't able to!)
-If they had a free w/ ads option, or even did a hybrid model with whole shows behind the pay wall, or even just ran a fucking crowd funding campaign to help cover costs of new seasons of shows, any of those things could have worked. They don't even have YouTube memberships turned on, which I've personally seen many many channels do even when they already have a patreon. It really doesn't seem like they've exhausted other options, at least from an outside perspective, which is all we have as viewers!
-I get that this has been in the works for a long time, and that there probably isn't a way for them to back out now. But I hope they can find a way to make this more accessible if they want it to work at all. I truly am not wishing for their downfall, but the whole situation is an awful mess.
Idk, rant over. As a lot of you are I'm feeling very disappointed and upset with this one, and I'm not paying for it either. Hope the boys can salvage this one for their and their crew's sake. Would really hate for this to be the end.

How would p! Noah act in area 52/51? Would you give him his ability to hack into anything?
I think that's Canon idk. Or would he just scare the crap out of everything (aliens included)
Well, Noah's hacking ability is canonical, even if it's only really established in his Island biography and later on in Dramarama (I believe?). Since p!Noah is meant to mimic canon Noah for the most part, I don't see why he wouldn't have the same hacking abilities.
Not that I think they'd be much good in Area 51/52, since most of the challenge itself is pretty much just a game of hide-and-seek meets "find the needle in the haystack". Of course, he could always use his technological prowess to prevent the deployment of the guards, but it wouldn't really be in character of p!Noah to deprive himself of something as exciting as being chased by armed forces.
He could always hack his way into Owen's Jokerisation chamber, but again it wouldn't really impact the competition much, since Owen's whole deal for this episode doesn't really have much sway on the plot itself
As for what he'd do during the episode?
Well, I think I'd need to establish how Greece's Pieces plays out first before stating anything concrete here, but at this point in the timeline p!Noah has been outed to the rest of his castmates as less sane than they had assumed (my means of snapping Ezekiel's arms like twigs, and menacingly playing around with a knife, among other things). They'd still be fairly hesitant to be around him, and Noah would be free to act more overtly antagonistic/crazy now that his façade is in shambles. (Perhaps too antagonistically crazy, since a lot of his instability is also just an act.)
There's not really much you could change about the episode's beginning, at least nothing substantial; p!Noah would probably find a lot of amusement in Duncan getting laser fried and Tyler electrocuting himself on the fence, but otherwise wouldn't have much reason to act out against his team. Unless he's feeling particularly daring at that moment, and decides to forego the rock tossing to instead dodge the lasers all the way to the warehouse entrance, but again this isn't a substantial change in terms of the overarching plot of the episode.
When the teams are inside of the warehouse, there's a little more room to play with character shenanigans.
Because they're looking for Alien Artifacts. Trinkets and gizmos supposedly dangerous enough to warrent a whole branch of governmental force dedicated to studying them. That's exciting - of course Noah's going to want to mess with them.
Of course, his main priority initially is getting Owen back from his time-out chamber. But that's laughably easy for him, given his hacking abilities and general technology savviness. But as soon as he's got his chubby buddy back? You know your boys are messing around with every artifact they can find, to Alejandro's ire.
Maybe he and Owen are the ones who initially encounter the floating aliens? Maybe the two of them walk into the scene of Tyler and Alejandro "dealing" with them, and Noah siezes the oppertunity to smush the alien face huggers into paste (with the added benefit of hitting both Tyler and Alejandro around the face with a metal pole, or something).
Or maybe the face huggers can smell the crazy ebbing off of him from a mile away, and fly away as fast as they can before Noah can even get to the scene.
Either way, whatever artifact Team CIRRRRH manages to get their hands on wouldn't last long enough to win them the challenge; either Tyler would follow his canonical counterparts footsteps and somehow break it, or Owen and Noah would inadvertantly sabotage their team whilst messing around with their chosen artifact.
Noah absolutely pockets a few alien-tech weapons from inside the warehouse though.
When they finally get back onto the jet, Noah scuttles off to some hidden corner of the cargo bay and begins reverse engineering the artifacts he stole borrowed from Area 51, if only just to abate his ceaseless boredom. Regretably, he's more of a software guy than a hardware guy, and he mostly ends up with a pile of useless alien scraps.
(Potential here to have him enlist Cody, who's canonically a bit of an engineer, to help him tinker with the artifacts? I think Cody would risk his luck with sometimes-crazy Noah if it meants getting away from always-crazy Sierra.)

Things in Zombies Re-Animated that I can't stop thinking about/just stuck out to me Idk part 2, Electric Boogaloo:
The moonies are just werewolf periods
Like. They're literally just werewolf periods Idk what to tell you-
That's not like, a BAD thing, I just think fucking werewolf periods is a wild thing to introduce to the lore of this series lmao
On a similar note, I made a whole separate post abt this but I'm very confused by werewolf family dynamics I want more lore for that
WYATT'S A RACCOON NOW DON'T GET CLOSE HE'LL BITE
Bucky's very slight redesign in the Halloween special is so funny to me- he looks. So so tired. And yet he's wearing hot pink wolf ears. That dichotomy is very funny to me-
I keep getting the song Ashley was singing along to in Teeny Witch stuck in my head smh
Probably bcuz I keep rewatching Teeny Witch for the Dae content...
Guys I love Dae she's so silly
She's one of the first characters I've ever seen who's actively described by the promotional team as "shy and quirky" who isn't the most annoying person on the face of planet
And her dynamic with Bucky is so fun- genuinely amazing choice to pair them up
Wyatt has so much more personality in the show than he does in the movies. I think he's one of the characters that's def benefited the most from the tv show format
The gag about Addison being obsessed with label makers is so funny omfg
I also liked it when Addison went insane in the woods in the Halloween special that was really funny
Basically I just like that Addison keeps randomly losing her mind in this show I think its a good recurring bit
BACK ON THE SUBJECT OF THE HALLOWEEN SPECIAL- I think the writers forgot why the wolves were mad in the movies
"Sick of living in the woods" GIRL YOUR LIFE SOURCE IS LITERALLY DRAINING AS WE SPEAK I THINK THERE ARE BIGGER PROBLEMS AT HAND HERE
I'm also kinda disappointed that they're retconning Bucky being from Missy's side of the family. I think the idea of Bucky having some alien in him has a lot of potential, and I wish Re-Animated would capitalize on that.
The whole Paint it Blech episode was a fuckin MOOD
Also you can tell Meg Donelly was having so much fun voicing the lil stick figure guy lmao
I absolutely LOVE that we got a whole episode dedicated to Bree, Addison and Bucky omfg- we never actually got to see them working as a trio in the movies, since Bucky was like. The main antagonist in the first 2 and fucked off to hang out with the wolves in the 3rd. So I'm glad we're getting some of that here!
And since we ALSO got an episode dedicated to just the wolves, I hope we get one for the zombie trio in the future, too. We've gotten more of the 3 of them hanging out than we have of the main 3 cheerleaders, but it'd still be cool to get an episode on them :)
Unfortunately I don't think there's gonna be an alien trio episode... unless they decide to bring A-li and A-lan in for one episode and then send them back to the void with the 'aceys?
Which SPEAKING OF- I'm disappointed they fully replaced the 'aceys with just one guy...
Like I think I know WHY they aren't coming back, probably some combo of the writers not wanting to juggle 3 more recurring characters & the person in charge of budgeting not wanting to pay 3 more VAs, but it's still dissappointing
BRING BACK THE POLYCULE PLS I BEG
Also not to go into conspiracy theory mode... but Singular Acey seems really down bad for Bucky, and given that he's meant to fill the role of the aceys...
BACEY'S IS CANON IT'S CANON THEY'RE ALL DATING WOOOOOOO FUCK YEAH I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I am Delusional I am going Insane)
Bucky is unfortunately a mood-
I, too, am desperate for attention, annoying abt color theory to the point Ive gotten into fights about it, a lover of cool frogs, and won't stfu abt my pets
Wynter is also a mood but that's just cuz I have ADHD and she DEF has ADHD are you KIDDING ME-
Eliza making a version of the z-band to help Wynter focus actually really lends itself to the reading of z-bands as disability aids...
I think it's neat that Zed clearly still has strong oppinions abt the MLP rip off he watched as a kid. That is also a mood.
I'm starting to think that maybe everybody in this show is just a fuckin mood...
The depictions of siblings in this show, while not really a main focus, are really accurate lmfao
Also YES IM COUNTING ADDISON AND BUCKY FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
The interactions between Willa and Bucky in these episodes were all golden(even if they only interacted in like 2 of them-). I will never shut up abt how much I love them being friends.
It's funny how borderline photo realistic the Shrimpy model is
Okay that's it :)

a couple unpopular tron opinions!! lmao
Tron '82 > Legacy, but idk if that's an unpopular thought loll
What that makes Legacy's story go from good to great is all of it's various companion pieces— The Flynn Lives ARG, The Next Day, Betrayal, Evolution, Uprising, etc etc. The best thing about the Tron franchise is how it uses so many different mediums (and technology that viewers interact with in different ways!).
The Flynn Lives ARG, to me, is still the most ingenious thing that has happened to this franchise. Is it a little sad that the deeper aspects of Alan and Sam (and sort of Lora and Roy)'s characters get sidelined to something that average movie-goer isn't going to seek out? Yes, extremely. But the ARG is such a treat for fans that I'm genuinely surprised that Tronblr of the 2020s doesn't pay any attention to it. There's so much character and world building, and so many little, little easter eggs— I think the ARG deserves so much more attention!!!!
Evolution does more for the main program characters of Legacy (Clu2, Quorra) character development than Uprising does 😭The existence of Abraxas makes Clu more sinister because we see him purposefully going behind Flynn's back, and as dark as it was, Quorra's personal losses almost felt more heavy in Evo than Uprising since Anon and Quorra work together through the game. But I'm also very biased because I liked Evo's story so much lmao
—— from @quorras :)
tron confessional with moss
alright let's break this down lol
1. 82 v Legacy
admittedly I have gone back and forth on this one a lot over the years. because I generally (obviously) love 82 to bits and it is my favorite part of the whole franchise. but at times I have questioned if Legacy is narratively the Better Movie(tm). and at the end of the day I think it's somewhat hard to compare because they're telling pretty different stories, once you get past the surface level sucked into cyberspace plot. 82 has a warmer fuzzier view of the potential of technology in the right hands compared to Legacy, which in my interpretation leans more into the idea that family -- human love and connection -- supersedes the more "alien" program way of life. 82 wants you to like the programs and see them as people just like us, whereas Legacy has more of a Basics kinda suck and only the more human ISOs are worth anything approach lol. and I think there's validity in both those takes, and I think the times and environments in which they were created has a huge impact on how they view and approach technology. but. yeah. 82 wins for me on its more optimistic hopeful vibe alone.
2. The Tron EU (extended universe not European Union)
100% agreeeeeeeeee. I sometimes catch myself lamenting the fact that it's such a small franchise, but when you add up all the comics and games and the ARG (Flynn Lives ARG light of my life we will get to you in a moment xoxo) and the show there really is a lot! honestly throw ElecTRONica in there too, there was lore there. half the reason I have such a hard time even recommending the movies to people is because I want to be like okay but you also need to watch/read/play all of this please you don't UNDERSTAND
the way Tron has been handled by some many creators and creative teams is honestly just.... really beautiful and special to me in the most unironic sense. it sucks that the mouse has never given the franchise the trust or the resources to grow, and I hate that so many projects are soured by this air of something being ripped away from people who clearly loved it and wanted to do more. but that love is so undeniable in all these bits and pieces of the franchise. there will always be people who love Tron as much as we the fandom do, and I would rather have a hundred of these one-off passion projects like Uprising or Identity than a bunch of soulless blockbuster movies
3. ARG my beloved <3
42 Entertainment I am kissing you on the mouth
I really can't even articulate everything that the ARG is to me, and I wasn't even involved when it was ongoing. when I was just getting into Tron after Legacy got the home release, a good chunk of the ARG sites were still live, and I remember digging into all of it and being amazed and obsessed. I still have the wiki site where everything is archived bookmarked. there's so much good background in there. and Roy! ROY!!!!!!! and the big reveals in The Next Day? OUR little operation, ISOlatedThinker???? I am not and will neve be normal about it, and it's sad to think the current iteration of the fandom doesn't know about or acknowledge it as much
4. Evolution v Uprising
I feel ya. don't get me wrong, I love the Uprising cast, but I was never completely in love with how the show handled the pre-established characters. like I was saying before I didn't like how Uprising made Clu a more detached / distant villain, so having him be a more direct bastard in Evo worked better for me. and Quorra ugh :( she really loses everything over the course of the game, and I think it makes her character in Legacy so much more poignant knowing that she went through all of that but was still so hopeful. Abraxas was such a good, tragic, fucked up antagonist. and Gibson oughhhhhh. again hard to say what would have happened in a second season of Uprising (pour one out), but Evolution is so deliciously bleak in a way the show never completely got to be. Uprising is mostly dark because we know or can infer what's going to happen, because we know where canon ends up. but Evolution has more of an opportunity to show us the dark and horrible things that went on after the coup, and it's a carries a little more weight as a result. rip Anon you will always be famous

episode that you love?
im only on season four but i've got a couple of faves so far:
1x21 'three stories': it's practically law that i have to include this. absolute classic of an episode. i love the format, i love the backstory we get, and i especially love the med students!! they were fun and i hope they come back at some point. probably not but im still holding out hope. teacher!house was great to see too, and the deep-dive into his backstory is so delightfully painful and heart-wrenching,,, oughgh
2x07 'hunting': very fun episode!! "what, because you're a closet case?" absolutely killed me the first time i watched it. get their asses lmao. also we get to see steve mcqueen (my beloved <3) and cameron on meth - fun times!
2x15 'clueless' and 2x16 'safe': mainly for the hilson roommates subplot tbf, but the cases were interesting too! these eps also had a lot of funny moments, like wilson sawing through house's cane and the whole tick debacle lmao
3x02 'cane & able': where do i start with this one. first of all the awful cgi hallucinations were fucking hilarious, i was so fucking confused tho. like the whole time i was just going helllo???? aliens????? great stuff. the rest case itself was really fun too!! and this is the one where we get the infamous "i was worried that your wings would melt" speech. oughghgh top tier content right there.
3x04 'lines in the sand': controversial take right here. this is the infamous autism episode. the way they handled it was. well. it was 2006. so. the case itself was interesting too, but the main highlight for me is the autistic house moments <3 and look. i KNOW wilson says house doesn't actually have autism. but MASKING EXISTS, WILSON!! you can pry this headcanon out of my cold dead hands. i support autism rights but i also support autism wrongs or however the meme goes. more people should get to be autistic and jerks i think <3 (saying all this as a guy who most likely has autism btw. i havent got an official diagnosis but uhhhh yeah it's Likely.)
3x07 'son of coma guy': hilson road trip! plus coma guy ig. but mainly hilson road trip :) i love them.
4x02 'the right stuff': i love love love the whole gameshow-esque thing house starts. we get to see some great characters (amber! kutner! dobson my beloved!!!!), and it's just all round a bit of fun. love it.
4x05 'mirror mirror': another fun one!! the mirror syndrome guy gives us a lot of fun insights into the applicant's personalities, i thought that was a really fun way of showing it rather than have a million expositions about each of them lol. also the banter was fun this episode, especially between house, wilson and cuddy. also we find out that wilson is more dominant than house and that kutner's a masochist. great fuel for fic writers. fun!
4x12 'don't ever change': ohohhoo i love this one. the case was alright but the best bit abt it imo was the house, wilson and amber dynamic. i love this trio so fucking much you don't understand,,, i honestly think we should've got poly wilson/amber/house. just think abt it... house and amber friendly rivalry... teaming up to bully wilson... and also amber and wilson bullying house together... would it be a little dysfunctional? yes. but that's to be expected in this show lmao. idk why this turned into a pitch for these three i just love them very very much <3
4x13 'no more mr. nice guy': again for the wilson/amber/house dynamic. this one is very fun i love their custody dispute over wilson, and the dog analogy was very funny to me. and cuddy making house and amber do coma patient duty lmao. AND bisexual thirteen!! love her <3
i haven't actually gotten to the last couple episodes of s4 yet because uhhhh Bad Things Happen and i am delaying the inevitable. send help. but i am sure they are very good and will probably make this list once i get around to watching them!
honourable mentions include 2x13 'skin deep' (purely for the scene where house is in the mri machine and wilson pretends to be god lol), 3x22 'resignation' (for the wilson on amphetamines scene. "i'm not on antidepressants, i'm on speeeeeeeed!" gets me every fucking time) and 4x01 'alone' (house and wilson prank war!!!)
soooo yeah those are my favourites :) and i'm sure there'll be a lot more once i finish the rest of the show but like i said i am Procrastinating lmao
thanks for the ask my friend!

assorted dr who thoughts after finishing the latest series:
- the 9 episode format is definitely a mistake..... it's the whole death of the filler episode thing innit. ive seen people saying that one of the downfalls of the new series was that you never really felt like ruby and the doctor actually became "best friends", because we're just told they are and not shown, and i agree with that. like i wouldn't say they didn't have chemistry or anything but it was all too rushed, there weren't enough casual/low-stakes/trivial little moments. and with dot and bubble for instance even tho it was a good episode overall i did find it weird the way they kind of just, abruptly plonked the doctor and ruby into the situation without even a minute-long tardis scene showing them actually Going to that planet and exchanging the usual doctor-companion console room banter?? like as if they were already this well established Best Friends Team Who Solve Problems? because that's the format™? idk.. a lot of this series just felt a bit off and a bit clumsy.
- i've started watching the 11th doctor recently (out of the new who doctors he's the only one i skipped until now lol), and i was watching The Lodger yesterday aka the james corden episode and like. the general silliness of that episode and the way that a lot of it was just playing around with the fact that the doctor is a Funny Alien etc and can't pretend to be human to save his life is kind of an essential ingredient to the series.....and having less episodes mean you're more likely to lose that stuff.
And while I get that 15 is supposedly a more healed version of themself thanks to 14 just um. chilling and processing their trauma, I also feel like we didn't see enough in the new series of the doctor's darkness, like the Godlike Alien Being side of them. because that's what makes them an interesting character. Like their loneliness was there and of course specifically the "timeless child" flavour of loneliness, and that does give dimension to the character but idk..... i just felt like it was all a bit too "haha we're singing and dancing and changing our outfits every episode and bringing back old companions and it's all hugs and kisses" . idk?
- having said that i did think ep 8/the first part of the finale was really strong, and id say doom and rogue were good as well.
- i don't mind ruby's mother being just a normal woman, the everyone is important/championing of Normal People philosophy is a crucial part of the show, but again i think it was all just kind of poorly executed/poorly written. if you only have 9 episodes to introduce a new doctor, new companion, and introduce and resolve a Mysterious Mystery running though the series, then the writing needs to be Very Good in order to pull it all off ........
- overall tho i did in fairness enjoy this series more than i anticipated. (the singing goblins christmas special did not fill me with high expectations lol.) ncuti is a brilliant actor and he understands the assignment, i really like him as doctor. it's just, unfortunately, as with 13, he deserves far better in terms of the writing ...
(and like i KNOW doctor who has been fucking silly and goofy forever, and every series has had its stupidity and its bad writing and its cringe moments but from the 13th doctor onwards it's just felt bad in like. a bad way lol. sometimes it's because they're trying too hard and it becomes contrived and convoluted, or sometimes it's just lazy and a lack of show don't tell . like it's all too spelled out or for want of a better word, "dumbed down". (or its just chris chibnall being chris chibnall etc.)
plus. idk. like i realise watching doctor who as an adult is different to watching it when you're younger, and watching the current series as it airs is different to rewatching series from 2 decades ago, but... idk. is 13 saying "fam" every 5 seconds objectively more cringe than 11 and his "bowties are cool" ? some may say no but.. i sort of feel like it is. there's levels and nuances to that sort of thing. tasteful cringe and annoying cringe. good cringe vs cringeworthy cringe. never be cringeworthy cringe or cowardly or whatever 12 said.
anyway. despite its flaws, this series was still fun and had enough of the Essence of dr who to not turn me off it completely, and i am looking forward to seeing more of ncuti next season. love and light

THE WHITE DIAMOND??? oh man, I love her design! so stunning but creapy! the use of white and black, the wibes of b/w old tv shows? very very cool
I ALSO love fusion designs so much!!!
I especially like how more stable fusions tend to have less limbs and have more humanoid form
I like how fusions that have amethyst in there tend to have very sharp teeth and even extra maw (exept for Opal... but maybe she just doesnt open her mouth wide enough for you to see hehe)
I like Pearl+Ruby fusion (sorry I don't remember her name... I dream to draw fan comics about them but eh...)
I also like how gems, who've been healed from their monstrocity still have some kind of monster aspects
like little horns and such
I like the gem that used to be the worm, who eated shiny things haha shes cute
AND SNOWFLAKE OBSIDIAN????? whats her buisness looking so swell????? shes so cool loking but she only been there for like... five seconds ToT

oh geez uh uh any w-3 headcannons????
Yes many tee hee.
Most of these r new/havent said before but I will repeat some for sake of not having to rummage thru tags. ANd the ones rotting in my drafts. Sorry for length i am. not normal about these fish
DJ (they/he?) is nicknamed Faith, and with the og japanese name this nickname would be Chu(ji)
Timpanist (he/it) is nicknamed Val, jpnese version would be Oo(shiki) or just Midori bc that's a bit more presentable name
The Cellist (they/she/he). Uh. I don't have a set nickname for them I usually just call them The Cellist/ cellisake I think they'd be okay with being referred to as that too. I've also called them Algin even tho that's technically not who they are... I've seen Blade as a nickname for them but something like Jr or Kid in reference to the whole "First Child" thing could work. Idk I'm indecisive ig they have a lot of nicknames
They are all ND
The Cellist and Faith started the band and Val joined soon after. Perhaps it makes more sense for it to be the other way around but I feel like with the Cellist being stubborn and more out there with their ideas that they'd initially forgo a more traditional instrument until they realized something was missing.
Val and Faith live together. The Cellist lives alone, maybe nextdoor w/ a lil pulley system between the two houses. Houses made during the Salmon Run are not really meant to be long term so this was meant to be a temporary arrangement to streamline their work but as you can see it's been some time.
Faith finds this nice, they were pretty much homeless and just couch surfing pre omega 3 and ended up moving in w/ one of them in their permanent ocean residences and they decided for the Salmon Run to keep a similar idea
Faith likes a lot of urban, cool culture. Streetwear, graffiti, hip hop and break-dancing... etc etc. They're also very tech savvy. Preferred genres r edm/techno, rap +rnb and punk...
Val enjoys an active lifestyle. Into travel, camping, fishing and more outdoorsy things, working hard, eating well, taking part in festivities and trying to give back to the community when he's not too caught up in his own stuff. Likes traditional salmonid music a lot but also pretty big on grunge and nu-metal
The Cellist likes reading and interacting with art that is like. "good enough" for him. Most of it is confusing or dreary. Likes coffee in the morning and maybe a small glass of scotch on a lonely evening. And being right. As for genres he'll go for whatever he thinks is groundbreaking in specific songs mostly regardless of genre.. but I feel he'd like rock. Probably post punk and more experimental stuff? Maybe folk and some classical music... idk idk!!! If anything it's mostly stuff like Trout Mask Replica...
The Cellist does however claim to not like pop music. This is usually not a lie but. She does actually like some of the Squid Sister's songs maybe even some stuff from OTH or C-Side. She would rather die than admit this.
I do feel like if any of them had to choose a favorite band of the ones we know DJ would choose Dedf1sh or Sashimori maybe C side.. Val would go for bottom feeders and Cellist would say uhh ink theory may be.. it’s good jazz music
Also uh Splatfest teams!
Faith: Scissors, Grub or Fun, Grass, Sweet, Milk Chocolate, Aliens, Gano- Power. and Vanilla!
Val: Rock, Gear, Fire, Spicy, Dark Chocolate, Nessie, Courage, Strawberry
Cellist: Paper, Grub, Water, Sour, White? or Dark. Bigfoot, Wisdom, Mint ChocoChip
They have all physically fought on multiple occasions. There's been at least one near breakup too
The Cellist's dorsal/hair fin is greying, their coloration is also a bit warmer than other salmonids
Val is not completely blind it its injured eye but its vision is fucked. It's also sensitive to light and sensation which is a major reason for the eye patch
They all respect each other as musicians and people and deep down they all care but they really do argue a lot. They're not really people who blend well together at all. DJ rebels against all that is mainstream and all they don't like and even stuff they're more neutral on for the hell of it. They kindof think they're cool for being a jackass but theyve also just become very callous bc they didnt have a choice when they were younger... and they kind of feel like they're still on the defense. Esp since the other two are more experienced and older and tend to treat him like a kid sometimes esp the cellist...
Val means well but he often struggles to take others into account. He's very goal oriented, a one-way track sort of guy who often acts more than a little clueless or even selfish. Not as petty or stubborn as the Cellist but he's got a lot of inertia. That and he's just... kind of shit at socializing in ways that don't piss other people off. Says a lot of accidentally insensitive stuff too. Comes off pretty intense to some as well!! And the Cellist. Well. Stubborn, emotionally repressed, physically and verbally clumsy... they are also a very sensitive person with a lot of emotional empathy where they kind of sponge up whatever vibe they feel, but they don't quite have the ability to act on what they think would make things right!
So yeah they fight a lot between these clashing personalities that bring out the worst in each other and other creative differences. The stress of the job adds to it!
Faith has an older sister. Val has two older brothers and many younger siblings. The Cellist is an only child which is uncommon in salmonid society
Faith is a Goldie, at least partially so. Val is a cohock from a family of steelheads and Big Shots and is extra durable bc of this. The Cellist is a Maws or meant to be one... he either did not complete training or retired due to his clumsiness...
All of them have healthy appetites esp Val and the Cellist
Val and the Cellist have both been in different bands before. Val was in a rock band that only lasted a summer when he was like 17-18 and then was part of a traditional salmonid music ensemble for a couple years before ω-3
As for the Cellist they’ve been through a couple different musical groups. They left most due to creative differences and not getting along with band mates.
This is the DJ’s first like. Band. Before this they just did solo gigs and posted stuff online

oh cool, thanks for sharing your thoughts too. I completely agree with you (especially your second paragraph). it's very frustrating to see people believe that creating/consuming media about bad things means you approve of said bad things, which only proves how people can't think for themselves...
this increasing trend is unfortunately a decline in media literacy and increase in short attention spans. people don't know how to "read between the lines" anymore and need their hands held. if something isn't explicitly stated, it doesn't exist. we're at the point where people need to be told shit like "misgendering is bad :)" instead of showing us how this could affect trans characters and the kind of pain that comes from knowing people don't see you as who you really are. there needs to be a balance of showing and telling, and also not being biased. I don't doubt that there are talented writers on the team (currently and formerly) as there is good writing to be found across the franchise, but most of the time bioware can never find that balance and I don't know why.
(and yeah putting relevant lore and plot from the games in books/comics etc, like varric and harding searching for solas, should have been in veilguard. it's not established how rook and varric even got to this point, which alienates the new players they so desperately wanted as well as people who can't afford them or don't want to follow a bunch of different mediums just to get a coherent story. there's too big of a gap between inquisition and veilguard that should have been mended somehow)
as for the romance... I do agree here but it's important to have gay and lesbian characters bc even though our experiences overlap with theirs they are ultimately different. in my opinion I think it just depends on the amount of companions. like dragon age 2 worked fine bc there were only four romanceable ones, so making them all bi for balance made sense (idk if that's why I'm just assuming here). whereas in inquisition there were eight, so they could stand to make two of them gay while making the others bi or straight or whatever (and with the replayability, someone could just make a new oc and experience those. especially since being gay is a big part of dorian's grief, it just wouldn't work if he was bi or god forbid straight). it's definitely our lack of preference speaking, since I also wouldn't mind bi being the default, but we can't leave the rest of our community behind. representation helps normalize what the masses think is abnormal. at the end of the day though, writers should not base a character's personality around their sexuality and gender identity because we are more than that. if it's important, there's always a way to do it well without it being yet another coming out story... and here's where taash was done dirty.
taash's story had potential to be about questioning their identity as a whole, and I was really hoping that their gender was just the tip of the iceberg, but it just. didn't go anywhere. im a second generation immigrant (greek-canadian), so it did hit close when taash was questioning where they even belonged, but then bioware ruined it by watering down the immigrant experience to one choice where you have to encourage taash to either choose rivain or the qun... which, to put it bluntly, was incredibly stupid (especially with bioware's racist writing of making the qun/qunari and everyone who follows it bad, most people would just pick rivain).
why do they have to pick one? why are we deciding that for them, especially when we barely know them? why can't they learn how to create a new life And reconnect with what they lost? a lot of immigrants hold onto culture bc it's all they have despite being disowned by their own people for "abandoning their country", but still live their new lives without sacrificing their roots. like to this day I still question if greeks would ever accept me because I was born in canada. my relatives and greeks as a whole just see me as another stupid american with no culture, "not a real greek", even though I know the language and still celebrate greek holidays/practice certain parts of the religion because of my mother. this struggle and disconnect doesn't just go away overnight, and it's incredibly sad how we could've had a character who is a pillar of perseverance and represents the loss/reclamation of identity be reduced to... a joke, I guess. it's a real shame.
that one conversation between emmrich and harding and the argument between emmrich and rook..... why is bioware trying to make the age gap an issue and why is their age even mentioned. why are they trying to make rook a fresh-faced adventurer. what if someone is playing as an older character huh. idk what's so wrong about two consenting adults in a relationship but ok

I hope you're alright.
U know how the fandom view kakashi right? The guy with the most tragic past in the whole show, one of the best senseis in anime history and is extremely wise and and wins every battle. yeah?
But not everything they claim him to be is true right? Like he's called wise but to me I never really saw that, the times he was meant to be wise like when he told twelve year old sasuke to give up on revenge... yea, wasn't the best advice to give since their pasts are different? As for them claiming he is op, didn't he have to be saved from Zabuza, which was like the first serious battle of the arc and part 1 of naruto?
Him having a tragic past yea I agree w that, but it never made him think of the system and how it was wrong? He's just content to follow with whatever.
And him being one of the best senseis in anime history, like I'm sorry but he didn't understand any of his three students, was blind to sakura's faults, didn't help sasuke with anything ( apart from teaching him chidori), projected on sasuke waayy too much, knew the truth about the massacre and did nothing w that information? ( unless I missed a bit where he did).
Idk this is just my opinion. What do you think of him? Thanks.
Him as a teacher is whatever for me, I mean he teaches Sasuke some things in part 1, and teaches Naruto couple things in part 2, but he is admittedly lacking in that department. The sannins take over his role in part 1 already.
As for why he is popular, one reason is because he is superficially a cool character, he is hyped up a lot, he has "1000 jutsus", he has sharingan, he has a tragic backstory, he also hides his face so even that is a mystery about him. Him reading erotica books is something people find funny, because it seemingly contradicts with his outer appearance. He is also a mentor character and those tend to become popular since young people find mentors reliable figures they would want in their own lives.
But yeah he doesn't really fight much despite all the hype, some fanboys also point out that his track record during the story is small compared to what one would expect.
What I dislike about his character is that he's a passive victim who never questions their system. His father killed himself because his community was brainwashed by Konoha's mentality, one of his teammates died as a child soldier, and another seemingly died as well. And that's not all, one of his students was a victim of a decades long alienating policy and a genocide and another of his students was a human container for monster that were seen as tools used for war so that the villages could profit from it. Yet he accepted it and submitted to it. And of course the fandom glorify this because what they care about is drawing flower crowns on their favorite characters and pretending the story is about kittens and puppies and not oppression. They don't like to see characters negatively and uncomfortably affected by injustice, unless it lasts like one arc and they are back to cracking jokes.
What makes it worse is that he does see it, he sees why Sasuke is the way he is, because of their world, yet his solution is to get rid of Sasuke instead of the system.
Tumblr media
Generally, I don't think there is anything admirable about letting oppressors walk over you and putting up with it. It's sad if anything.
He is also hypocritical. When Sasuke's revenge was only consisting of killing Itachi, Kakashi was already against it, despite the fact Itachi killed not only Sasuke's family but his whole clan. And yet when Team 10 wanted to avenge Asuma, he was all for it, he even went to help. Is it because Asuma is someone Kakashi personally cared for? Because that's not a good look.
I also hate how he handles Sakura with kid gloves. I understand a character was needed to do this, because despite the fact Sakura is supposed to be an unlikeable person she is still part of the main cast and can't be outrightly condemned. There needs to be someone justifying her nonsense. But it doesn't change the fact it's annoying and doesn't make me favor Kakashi's character. A good example is when he tries to speak for Sakura, and he says to Sasuke that Sakura wants to save him eventhough he tried to kill her. He is of course conveniently omitting the fact Sakura came there to kill Sasuke herself. Lol.
Tumblr media
Sakura isn't the type to brag or hurt others?
Tumblr media
First arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last arc. Yeah, no bragging to be found...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think I need to add every single scene where Sakura has beaten Naruto up or berated him.
And to add to Kakashi's passiveness, he became a Hokage to warm the seat for Naruto because Obito wanted him to, like come on.

📕📘📗📗📓📚📒📔📙📜
Thank you for this ask, but sorry in advance. In retrospect, I don't even know why I reblogged this ask meme because the only fics I have been able to think about are Kamen Rider fics and almost none of the people following me have seen any Kamen Rider
(prompt: Put “📓” or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I’ll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven’t written but daydream about.)
Anyway since you sent so many books, I'll talk about two ideas:
FMA post canon
Look, Greed's death made me very sad and he will be alive in all the fics I write because that's what he deserves.
That said, I think it would be very fun/horrible to write something from Ling's pov after Greed dies, specifically maybe something in the set up of "five times someone thought he was Greed and one time they didn't"
I haven't planned out specific scenes but here's what I think a few of them would be
-Darius and Heinkel who have only really known Greed and weren't around to watch the final showdown (I think? If they were around in canon, they aren't in this au) and are like "hey boss good to see you made it out of this mess" and Ling has to be like "....he didn't make it out"
-Ling has talked to Ed a couple times in the aftermath of the battle but one time he comes up from behind him or something and for a split second Ed is like "ugh Greed stop bothering me" and then they both realize
-idk about this one but I feel like at some point on him+Lan Fan+Mei's journey back to Xing, they run into some sort of situation where Ling thinks it would be beneficial to act like Greed to get out of it
-the final scene would be in Xing and I'm not sure, maybe he would wake up from a nightmare where he was Greed being pulled out of Ling's body (they were psychically linked then, you can't tell me that wouldn't leave some really weird scars and dreams) and Lan Fan wakes him up and calls him Ling, and of course she would never see him as anything other than Ling because she's known him her whole life and always refused to accept Greed having control of his body
Kamen Rider Blade Star Trek
Okay so when I was in early high school there was a genre of crossover in which a team (Star Trek crew, Firefly crew, the Avengers) meet some strange man (honestly usually the Doctor from Doctor Who) and are just like 'wtf is this guy's deal's. Additionally, Kamen Rider Blade has a novel set 300 years in the future where the main character has amnesia. So I have decided to combine the two of these things
Basically Kamen Rider Blade ending premise (spoilers): a human called Kenzaki sacrifices his humanity for a member of the monster group (Hajime) to keep living a life among humans. The catch is that now they are both immortal, and if they ever meet again they will be compelled to fight to the death
So this fic would alternate between povs of the cast of Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
One day they receive a distress call, but upon further inspection it's coming from a small craft that has already been shot up to the point where nobody could survive it. They figure that they might as well check it though, see if there are any bodies to return to families or something. However, there is a unconscious but otherwise perfectly healthy and human looking man.
He wakes up, and it turns out that he doesn't have any of his memories except his name, and upon second inspection he is not human but also doesn't resemble any aliens they know. He's almost human with all the right organs in the same place and everything, but his blood is green and viscous and they aren't sure if half the organs are actually doing anything, etc. Also sometimes he references things from turn of the millennium earth as if he lived there himself which is wild
There's just a lot of crew interactions which I will not get into, but I would definitely find a way to bring Garak and Keiko into this, along with the main crew (by which I mostly mean Sisko, Jadzia, and Julien because I don't really know what Kira or Odo would have to say to Kenzaki)
This is interspersed with scenes of Hajime on a commercial transporter flying to deep space nine because he wants to go through the wormhole because he's super depressed and maybe going to the other side of the galaxy will help (it probably won't, but who knows. It's not like he's tried it before. Maybe there, he'll be far away enough he won't feel the constant urge lingering in the background to go find and kill his only surviving friend, the person he cares most about in the entire universe)

ARE you caught up on D.Gray-Man?
If so, or from wherever you are in it, how do you think it will end? For the main cast and the Noahs.
Yep! I recently reread the manga (my yearly tradition for 7 years straight 😤) and caught up with all the chapters
I have no clue how the ending will look like cuz Hoshino introduced a lot of new plot points recently: The Millennium Earl being the pillar, Noah clan "pretending to play family with the Earl" (which holy shit that threw me in for a loop), time travel/time loop theory looking more and more likely and god knows what's going on with Apocryphos and the Heart (I do have a crack theory that innocence is alien technology that landed on earth way back when but that's a whole different discussion), and I have no clue how it's all gonna tie together.
But in general, I think the ending will be bittersweet, very bittersweet ;w;
As for the main cast…
There's not a doubt in my mind that Lenalee will be fine. She'll live in peace with her brother in the end. There's an 70% chance she'll be the narrator/POV character for the final chapter. I've seen theories that her arc will be abt confronting Levllie which I would like to see
Kanda, I'm sorry to say, is def gonna kick the bucket 😔 But he'll get his closure with Allen and it's gonna be emotional and I'll cry like a baby ;w;
Lavi is alive (and might have already become Bookman?), but given past comments from Hoshino and her editor it sounds like Lavi isn't gonna have a happy ending :(
iirc Hoshino's editor claimed that when he found out abt what Hoshino had planned for Lavi he shivered, so sadly no sunshine and rainbows await my og blorbo ;w;
There's also the theories of Lavi being the Heart or becoming the Noah of Wrath that I really like but idk how likely they are. I used to be pretty confident in the Lavi-Heart theory but now I'm starting to think that the Millennium Earl might be the Heart? or at least part of it? (my reasoning being that if the Earl = Pillar, and the Pillar looks very similar to a Fallen One, so we can assume that the Pillar is linked to innocence. Therefore! The Earl is linked to innocence and might be the Heart!)
(And I think it’s pretty likely that Chaozi will be the one to become the Noah of Wrath.)
So Lavi will be alive at the end of the series but as a Bookman it's likely he'll reject companionship and end up alone. I really want Lavi to redefine what it means to be a Bookman and find a healthier middle ground but Hoshino's comments don't give me much hope ;w;
Allen... oh Allen... I have 0 clue what Hoshino has planned for Allen (and Neah). I get the feeling that Allen isn't gonna survive at the end but at the same time the current arc has been focusing a lot on his suffering so killing him off would be like kicking a puppy (*insert morbid allen the dog joke here*)
Neah is an even bigger mystery and I also have no idea what to expect from him. I look forward to him and Allen having a real conversation and I think it's possible we'll see them "fuse" into one person?? Maybe Neah and Mana will sacrifice themselves to save the world and/Allen? maybe??? Who knows! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Neah is a wild card and I really want to find out what his plan is, it must be pretty important if someone like Cross is willing to spend decades trying to carry it out. I personally think his plan is linked to the time-loop theory: if there's a time-loop he's probably the only one who can break it or something along those lines.
Link will be fine, I think? Maybe?? Link is my second fav so I'm eager to see where his arc will go. Atuuda has opened up an interesting realm of opportunities for his character.
Johnny’s another wild card, I have no idea what Hoshino has planned for him (other than to be Allen’s anchor).
On the Noah side, Tyki will definitely be fine. He'll probably fuck off with his human miner friends at the end. I think we’ll see him team-up with Allen and co towards the end (and it’ll probably have to do with why Tyki looks identical to Neah).
I want to say Wisely will be fine too? But that's prob my own bias speaking lol. I like him so I want him to be fine 🥺
Similar to Tyki, I think Road will team-up with Allen and co but idk if she’ll be alive by the end. She’s one of the oldest characters and she’s from the past generation of Noah. I could see her making a dramatic sacrifice to save Allen or Tyki. Then again, we already saw her sacrificing herself for Allen against Apocryphos so idk if Hoshino will want to rehash that 🤔
Mana/the Earl’s situation is so fucked up, and with the curve balls Hoshino has thrown our way, I have no idea how it’s gonna end. I think it’s possible that Mana will sacrifice himself, either with Neah or Allen, to save the world. But honestly anything is possible 😅
In general, I think the Noah clan's motivations will be revealed to be sympathetic, probably more sympathetic than whatever the Heart/Innocence is trying to accomplish. Personally, I think the Noahs are trying to save/purify humanity (there has to be a reason why the akumas become more human-like with each level) and prevent the Pillar from, you know… exterminating all life on Earth.

ok for the character thing i have like no idea what characters you know o(-( and i was going to say sonic charas but i also dont know FJSJJGD so i will be biased.
shadow t. hedghehdog.
First Impressions - I remember when i was really young i had a bit of a fixation on him hshdhfjjfj so yes i quite liked him, I don't even remember what his appeal was to 6 year old me because I wasn't really into edgy shit at the time lmao
Impressions Now - I still love him a lot, he's very interesting and relatable as a character and has a lot of layers to him that goes overlooked. I just wish Sega didn't butcher him so much, look how they massacred my boy. The real Shadow deserves the world.
Fav Moment - Pretty much his entire 06 story. Archie Shadow is also amazing I love his moments.
Idea for a Story - tbh i don't really know what this is referring to specifically hshdjfjf, i do enjoy stories of Shadow that allow him to come out of his shell yknow, even if it's bit by bit, his friends giving him support and understanding gives me serotonin.
Unpopular Opinion(?) - tbh i think the 2005 game had it's potential for being the crack trip that it was, it was just during a time when edgy things were at their peak trend n Sega wanted to appeal to that by completely butchering Shads, but i think if all of that was put off to the side the whole Black Arms arc thing was interesting and i think Shadow stayed true to his character in the true final ending of the game, idk I'd like to see a rewrite of the game.
Fav Relationship - Team Dark is absolute fam goals change my mind, I wish we got to see more of them that way. I also like to imagine him and Sonic's relationship like how they interact in Heroes, none of that "I'm better than you, pathetic fucking buffoon" rival bs, just more friendly banter n knowing when to actually take things seriously in a situation. Idk if that made any sense anyways
Fav HC - I like seeing him interpreted as more alien like he's meant to be, like he still has his hedgehog features but also has features that make him stand out n remind you he's not actually a normal hedgehog. I also like it when people give him more gremlin energy especially when he was younger on the ARK hdhdn

tezz <3
good. good
send me a character and i’ll list:
favorite thing about them - I like his bastard energy. king of assholes. but his heart is so big
least favorite thing about them - we didn't get to see him engage in more team-building exercises smh but that's not his fault 😔
favorite line - for completely normal reasons I really liked when he called vert captain. vert's like ok calm down I haven't decided if you're a serial killer or not yet lmao 😳
brOTP - we didn't get to see it but I just know he and jack would have gotten on really well once they got past circling each other like weird wary wild dogs. guys you have SO much in common. tezz would you like to be adopted - also tezz/sherman but that's also a super cute romantic pairing. start out as friends and maybe become something more isn't that nice for you two 😳
OTP - tezzvert, I'm a simple guy with simple tastes. also their dynamic fucked it was awesome and I wish we could have seen more of them working together. I could go on about this for a fortnight let me just summarize by saying chef's kiss
nOTP - god idk I don't really give it much thought, I just like a few ships and laser-focus on them and don't pay much mind to others ig
random headcanon - tezz lets his heart do way, way more of the thinking and decision-making than he'll ever admit. deny it until you're hoarse with rage tezz but it's TRUE. I don't think this is a headcanon I think it's probably just fact but idk I don't have a lot of headcanons for this loser who I love with all my heart
unpopular opinion - idk if I have any hot takes on him that would be considered an unpopular opinion but I do know he is sooo stupid. you can be a genius and a dumbass. he is proof
song i associate with them - panico by eiffel 65, it would be the SICKest battle music for tezz. huge boss fight let's GOOOOOO PAAAANICOOOO E SONO IN PRENDA AD UN ATTACCO DI PAAANICOOOO
favorite picture of them
Tumblr media
idk if this is my all-time fave but this is up there. master manipulator big-hearted jerk asshole vibes. loved this whole episode. vert he played you like a fiddle and you let him didn't you vert. he loved those weird little aliens. this episode was so good.

You know, in a lot of the fics I've seen about Tim and Dick reconciling after the whole Robin being handed over to Damian, Tim is usually filled with self righteous anger about the entire situation. And idk I just don't really vibe with it - specifically, I don't think it's realistic for Tim to rage against Dick and forget he's messed up up in their relationship too. Especially because of this panel from an arc that concludes Young Justice.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
In this arc (I'm guessing some people abhor it because it leads into the unspeakable Teen Titans and is a dark and gritty DC story) Young Justice (Tim's team - at the time being lead by Cassie) ignores directions given by Dick multiple times, makes a bad situation worse, and said situation ends up maiming most the Titans, and killing two others (most notably Donna Troy, Dick's best friend).
Now this isn't directly Tim's fault. And honestly I don't blame Tim for what happened. But would Tim blame himself? Definitely. This was Tim's team first - he was the leader for the majority of the run though young justice was a more informal team. Plus the batkids all have extremely high standards for themselves (and Dick holds his teammates to high standards as well).
Tumblr media
(Garth deserves better)
On some level I think Dick would have partly blamed Tim for what happened (idk if it's explored in the Teen Titans run after this at all) but Tim is right when he says how dumb his teammates acted. They made really bad decisions in this arc, and it wasn't entirely ooc for them to do so (see Kon during the superhero war arc in YJ, Cassie bringing home a plant from an alien planet, Bart like electrocuting Kon to give him back his powers). Young Justice was a team for wacky fun adventures, not "the real world" and it's pretty depressing reading this arc, idk i just feel like it's something that could be explored more. Especially because this occured when Tim idolized Dick deeply, and then literally his own team destroyed Dick's (which is how i think Tim viewed it).
Obviously I think Dick would forgive Tim, or at least try his best but like...Donna's death was freaking devastating for him like look at this:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Ugh this arc was so sad. Donna comes back to life of course cuz DC stands for Death doesn't Count but like yeah this would have been traumatic is heck for both characters.
Tl;dr: Dick does have reasons to subconsciously be angry with Tim, and Tim has reasons to doubt his footing with Dick. A lot of their reconciliation fics focus on the Robin thing, but that didn't happen completely in a vacuum (unless you ignore anything but Red Robin). This arc happened way beforehand (years ago in universe and they went on a year long cruise after Kon died where I'm sure they made up). But damn, their relationship really has its ups and downs.
(Tim stans pls don't yell at me i don't blame Tim for this i just think he would blame himself and then be too ashamed to literally even look at Dick for awhile and i feel like that would make for a more interesting discussion, also I've been on dc tumblr for like *checks watch* 4 months so like idk if people already talk about this a lot i personally haven't read any fics or seen posts about it)
