Then why write about it? If for coping purposes, why post it online for others (especially actual predators) to see and consume? Creating content of underaged characters is still questionable regardless of age, however.

I still see certain things on my timeline, usually because1) It's posted in the main tags of something I'm interested in2) The post isn't even tagged at all3) If someone quote retweets from someone I've blocked, I still see the take on my timeline.

the fact of the matter is, anyone can consume any type of content, and that shouldn't prevent people from making what they like. why not portray it in a positive light? what does it matter? any regular person knows that what they see in fiction should not necessarily be replicated in real life. i know better than to go out and kill someone just because billy loomis and stu macher do it.

furthermore, wouldn't you want actual pedophiles to use fiction rather than them going out and hurting real children? that's not how that works, but using your argument that they're one and the same, wouldn't that be better for everyone, and result in less people getting hurt, ergo fiction doesn't hurt anyone?

no, fictional characters are not meant to resemble actual children. that IS a crime. however, you cannot look at an anime child, or idk, kid ashley from TCOAAL, and tell me that looks like a REAL child. that's nonsense. and no, it does NOT mean i "share the same view concerning children in real life", because those characters aren't real, and i (can't believe i have to say this) am NOT attracted to real children. yes, you ARE calling me a pedophile, which is just categorically not true. it's not "questionable" because it's not REAL, which is necessary for someone to be diagnosed with pedophilia, which is a disorder, and not just some label you can put on people.

genuinely, if you are THAT sensitive to people having other opinions, or are sensitive to different kinds of art, maybe social media isn't the place for you to be. if the post isn't tagged, i agree, something should be done about that, but the fact is, WE DO tag our stuff. that has nothing to do with me (or chica), or even proshippers as a whole. you're doing the thing were you believe one rotten apple spoils the bunch.

when you post something online, you HAVE to understand that literally anyone can view it, and if your accounts aren't private, anyone can interact with it. that is the cost of posting online. if you can't handle that, log off.

i don't think i've ever compared being an anti to being a terf/exclus, BUT they do objectively share some of the same opinions as conservatives, and even nazis (which is NOT to say all antis are conservatives/nazis, but that you share some of the same ideals).

yes, correct, anyone can harass anyone, but the fact of the matter is, 99% of the time proshippers get harassed, it's while we're in our own lanes, minding our own business, and y'all (much like you're doing right now) come into OUR spaces and call us pedophiles, and say we deserve to die, or that we should kill ourselves.

if you've been following this blog for the last week-ish, you'd have seen some prime examples of just that. doing nothing, talking to no one, and getting harassed. people saying i should be on watchpeopledie, saying i should be killed, that they hope i get cancer, or die in a car accident, or that my dad beats me to death. that i should "slit", cut to the bone, kill myself, hang myself. threatening to doxx me, find my address, have tried to grab my ip. the difference is, when proshippers are found to be doing this stuff, they're called out and reported, often by other proshippers, whereas antis, when they exhibit this behavior, they are encouraged. they're praised by their peers.

if all people did was say "x is a proshipper, block them", we wouldn't have an issue, but the fact is, a significant amount of y'all don't start with blocking. you start with slurs, nasty names, disgusting accusations, and downright deplorable behavior BEFORE you block us. if you block us. and when we block you, it's entirely possible you just create a new account to harass us from, or grab your friends to do it for you.

if platforming people who like different types of fiction than you is that big of a problem, that you feel the need to write callouts, make google docs, harass them, and threaten to doxx them, you need to get off the internet. stop interacting with people AT ALL. live in a bubble. because again, people you don't like are always going to exist on the internet, it's your duty to navigate that in the best way you can, WITHOUT hurting anyone.

people hide the fact they're proship because we don't want the harassment. that's sorta the crux of the issue? you're completely ignoring the COUNTLESS posts of people being harassed for simply existing and being proship. we shouldn't be made to feel bad for trying to protect ourselves and our peace, YOU should be made to feel bad for making others feel bad.

Talking about Vivziepops' weird art of minors

I've never been the biggest fan of Vivziepop, I've always knew about their weird behavior (since like 2018 ~ 2019) before they were as popular as they are now.

She has done a lot of weird stuff but the thing I mainly wanna focus on in this post is their character Addison. Addison is a 17 year old gay effeminate fox humanoid from Zoophobia, he's in a relationship with a 19 year old Teacher's assistant named Gustav. Many people get confused by this but Addison has been CONFIRMED to be 17 years old by Vivziepop. Someone had changed Addison's Fandom Wiki page back in 2019 to say they're 18, when this is not true, Vivzie has confirmed they're 17. I did go back and change the age to 17 on the Wiki with the correct age in hopes that people stop believing incorrect information.

The tags in this post brings up the fact that Addison is nearly 18 - not 18 yet - They're still 17.

Edit: Oh yeah, I want to add on context to this tag: "I should mention the characters canon ages are higher then when I first made them because as I wrote the story any big age gaps were uncomfy"

I've heard multiple older fans of Vivziepop say that Addison was originally meant to be 14-15 years old, and I've heard that Gustav was originally meant to be in his 30s.

Addison was created 2010, She began shipping Gustav with Addison in 2011, and Zoophobia began in 2012. So the fact she shipped a 14-15 year old character with a 30 year old one to begin with, and encouraged her friend to draw intense NSFW art of them together is so.. weird.

Anyways, Vivzie also hints at Addison being a minor, using wording indicating how young they are in age in their Blogpost introducing the character

"I finally created a few concepts, but the one I have been toying with the most is a young character much like Gale. An albino boy, with an identical albino sister"

If you need more proof, Addison is also preyed on by Mirage, a character that SPECIFICALLY goes after minors... that's basically her main personality trait, that she's a p3d0. She goes after Addison because he's a young submissive boy and easy to manipulate.

Anyways, back on topic. I personally I don't see anything wrong with the age gap of 17 & 19, however I do think it's weird to have this relationship between Addison and Gustav.. he's not exactly a teacher, but he still holds power over Addison due to the fact he's the voluntary teacher's assistant. Back when Zoophobia was popular there were people who found this dynamic weird & creepy considering the fact that Addison is basically a student under Gustav. Also, I just wanna bring this up because I find this weird, Gustav was originally under the impression that Addison was a year one student and much younger than he actually is, yet he still tried to flirt with him.. erm..? Yeah..

Anyways, that isn't the main point. The point is that Vivzie DREW NSFW OF HER 17 YEAR OLD CHARACTER AND HIS 19 YEAR OLD TEACHER... erm.. holy cracker balls? Literally how can anyone excuse these?

Vivzie also drew Gore of Addison too, but I won't post it here cus it's very graphic and weird and idk why she drew it!!

And .. possibly the worst drawing of them all.. Holy titties what is this... If you're wondering, the stuff under the censors is ACTUAL NSFW. It's not suggestive, or implied s3x, It's their ACTUAL WEE WEEs.

These accounts are poorly archived, so it's hard to find the original post and what it originally said. However after some digging I was able to find out the original text said

“ dollcreep: “ i can only see ‘dark-Günter’ exposing him and addi to a public area like so…so. yeah. Günter says; merry Christmas. god this question is super old. vivz reminded me about it"

So, I'm assuming that Dollcreep drew this, not Vivzie. However I was also able to find out from the limited resources there is that Vivzie reposted this to her accounts Vivzie-zp (unarchived) and ZPanswers, which are also now deleted, but if you view the accounts tumblr archives over the Wayback machine you can see that she did indeed repost this. http://web.archive.org/web/20120801182958/http://zpanswers.tumblr.com/archive

If you don't know, Dollcreep and Vivzie used to be best friends, however aren't anymore. Dollcreep originally designed Gustav, originally named Gunter, and Vivzie bought the design from them. Vivzie designed Addison back around 2010, and taking into account the old caption, this means that Vivzie.. allowed Dollcreep to draw NSFW art of their underaged character ;-; oh my gawd!!! Whatthe heck guys... like I said at this time Addison was still 14 - 15 and Gustav (Gunter) was in his 30s.

Also I want to mention that this drawing was from 2011, so that means Vivzie had this pedophilic ship with Dollcreeps OC for years, & after she bought the rights to the character she decided to.. keep the pedophilic ship and write it into Zoophobia by making him Addisons teacher. That's crazy..?

Anyways, because I brought up Mirage. Mirage is written pretty bad. She was a character meant to be in.. or scrapped from Zoophobia, she was meant to be a villain who preyed on the kids, mainly Addison. Her main trait is that she likes kids

Vivzie's made a bunch of drawings of Mirage preying on kids which I think is pretty weird, especially considering how poorly some of them represent it and make it seem like a joke instead.

and yeah, we all know about this infamous drawing she made of Mirage preying on Kestrel, a 14 year old. Pretty weird

Also when I looked at the web archive of Vivzie's ZPanswers blog (a Zoophobia ask blog) she accepted many weird asks about Kestrel, 14, and Addison, 17, like an ask asking if Kestrel had ever been fucked by a horse & how Kestrel, Addison & others would act when they were drunk. Which is also pretty weird to me I won't lie

Other than one-sided RadioStatic, what do you ship?

I've actually done this before, but decided I'd update it a bit.

cherrivel is only there because of the need for velvette to have someone at the hotel to be obsessed with, refer to this post. it is currently unserious and could easily never come up in my posts I just thought to include it because of that one time I brought it up. other crackships may come up if I find it funny (ie adam x mammon).

this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, I do not like any reciprocated romantic alastor ships, I'm not here to police anyone for what they do in fanon, but all I ask is no one send me anything of the sort. I interpret alastor as a repulsed aroace, and the dialogue in which his asexuality is implied in canon implies to me he would never pursue dating (rosie knows alastor wouldn't be dating charlie because he is aroace, which implies she knows he is an aroace that doesn't date**). so that is how I choose to portray alastor in my posts.

**TO BE CLEAR, there IS nuance to this. because action =/= attraction. funny situations such as a fake date with vox as a distraction that he doesn't like at ALL entertain me. but I do not believe he is the type to pursue it under normal circumstances.

regarding qprs... well, as you can see, I really only care for qpr radiorose, but this is the part where it comes down to personal preference. qpr radiostatic largely depends for me, maybe if it's like an au where they never had a falling out or something but otherwise, I don't personally really see it, but that isn't to judge anyone who does. HOWEVER, I do like thinking about their past friendship, here's a post I made before regarding alastor's side on it.

I need to clarify, I am NOT a pre-series hazbin fan. I only got into hazbin properly at episode 5-6's release, prior to that I had only watched episode 4 out of curiosity due to twitter discourse. any information I have regarding pre-series stuff comes from the wiki, tumblr posts or anons who have informed me of stuff. my main source of information is the main series, that is how I first consumed hazbin after all.

it all started with an anon talking about the most unrealistic thing about vox owning an alastor body pillow being that alastor was able to be printed on it without glitches. I then dropped a stupid idea I had in my head for a bit about lucifer being offered 50k to make a sexy alastor painting for vox. one reblog later. well. it turned into vox commissioning lucifer for the body pillow. and then a bunch of asks came in related to it and it turned into a saga which is now my legacy. feel free to scroll through this entire thing. also a fanfic of it by ChaoticAce2005 now exists. go check it out. in my defence, I kinda forgot about that when I posted the original joke. later asks, I've mended that val HAS drawn for vox before but vox nitpicked too much and val's not always willing to do a fully rendered sexy alastor... so vox has to outsource. and he just happens to do so to the king of hell.

radio silence is the name of another book made by the author of heartstopper, alice oseman (which I heard also has a canon aspec character!). even though it is already a used tag for this ship, I refuse to contribute to flooding the book tag with hazbin hotel. it's already an issue I see even when searching #radio silence with the space, I think those in that fandom should be allowed to search for content without being flooded by content from another fandom. please understand.

I instead use #onewaybroadcast in accordance with this poll. I still use the regular #radiostatic and #staticradio tags in addition to it for more reach and because vox's side still technically counts under it, if anyone doesn't like specifically one-sided radiostatic for whatever reason, they may filter out the specific tag or block me.

I agree with all of your tags on that one post SO MUCH but OMG especially that I cannot stand when ppl make McCoy the second choice!!!! being a second choice is an awful feeling and he deserves sososo much better !! He’s a treasure and needs to be treated as such 🥺💕💕

I've actually given this some thought lately, because it surprises me how often that dynamic happens with mcspirk fic, and I think I actually figured out what's happening.

I think there are two main groups of ppl who ship mcspirk:

people who ship spirk, and like McCoy, and want to include him as well

people who see them as a triumvirate

I have a lot of OT3s where there's an established canon couple, and they have their guy (gender neutral), and it's just, y'know. Clearly that guy should be in the relationship with them! Peter&El and Neal (White Collar), Pam&Jim and Dwight (The Office), Ellie&Alan and Ian (Jurassic Park), etc and so forth, it's a really common OT3 dynamic!

I think that's what's happening with group 1. I think they see spirk as basically canon, so it's not that they're intentionally making McCoy the second choice, but that they're looking at what they consider a basically canon ship, and they're adding their fave guy to it.

Meanwhile I'm in group 2 - I personally think mckirk and ESPECIALLY spones have just as much "canon" evidence as spirk. I personally would consider the actual canon situation to be queerplatonic mcspirk. You don't have to define it, but the three of them - the three of them - have some weird freakish Situation going on lmao. They're not canonically dating, they're not canonically in love, but wow do they have Something Happening there.

So if you [the general you] are in group 2, and you see established spirk and pining McCoy, and then spirk eventually coming around to date McCoy: that is McCoy being the second choice! That is them choosing each other first! And that's a dynamic that I very much dislike for that reason. Not only for McCoy (who's what, getting pity-dated, with the knowledge that he's entering a very unequal relationship?), but for Spock and Kirk, as well! For how I see the three of them, it makes Spock and Kirk out to be careless, casually cruel people - which they aren't!

Now this is different, obviously, if two of them are paired off and the other one isn't interested. Like spones and mckirk and spirk on their own (although I very much side-eye fic that ignores the third's importance to the other two - looking at you lots of spirk fic), if no one's pining, then that's just shippy fun - but it's specifically an issue when it becomes mcspirk. Because spirk ISN'T canon. So if all three are interested, but spirk get together first...that means they picked McCoy last.

Lowkey makes me want to burn down the world lmao.

But that's why it happens, I think. I think it's just coming from people who have a very, very different view of The Original Series than I do - and honestly I don't AOS tons, but an even wilder view of AOS imo, because if anyone was an established couple in AOS, it's very clearly mckirk??? So making it established spirk + pining McCoy in AOS feels just, woof, incredibly painful imo, and honestly quite cruel of Spock and Kirk.

I'm absolutely not saying it can't be done well, and I'm absolutely not saying that people shouldn't ship what they ship and write what they write and enjoy what they enjoy!!!

I just wanted to kind of break down why I think some people love that dynamic, and why some people (me) avoid reading it, because it just bums me out unless there's a reason given for why they made him a second choice. Because if there's no reason given, then it's just. They didn't want him enough. They didn't love him enough. It isn't an equal relationship.

(that was basically how the spirk -> mcspirk couples counseling fic came about - idk if you read it and you absolutely do not need to, but, that was a bunch of us talking about how McCoy is no one's third wheel! Spock and Kirk are obsessed with that man - just as he's obsessed with them, as well, to be clear. They're freaks all the way down!!!! Love that for them. Thank goodness they have each other, because lordy who else could put up with them (I say with love) lmaoooo)

Incredibly sorry for this long, long ramble lolll, but anyway, yes, I fully agree with you, he IS a treasure and he deserves the world, and he is nobody's second choice!!!

my two cents on the "problematic" content thing is that tf2 is one of those media where you can lean into both feel good shit and darker topics simultaneously.

a recipe for a good tf2 fic is over the top gore and ridoculously stupid humourous scenes.

but also, If you're upset about people posting blood and a lil' guts, you picked the wrong fandom. that said, writers should of course use their best judgement and tag things appropriately. yk if someone comes in complaining about blood, there's a notice that says "you might see some shit"

but also, If you're upset about people posting blood and a lil' guts, you picked the wrong fandom.

There's a reason I don't tag for blood on this blog and that's why lmao. I'll tag for gore gore (it's #haemocyanin btw—think viscera and guts and body horror) but I won't tag for blood.

This as well. IIRC at one point someone (either Hale, the Admin, or Miss Pauling, can't recall who) outright states that a few of the mercs are sex offenders. And this can be anything from "got slapped with an indecent exposure charge for pissing in public on a wall while drunk and had to register" to "outright assaulted someone" and we don't know what it is or who it is. And I'd personally rather my mercs not be violent sex offenders, but we also don't know, and I'm not gonna shit on someone or harrass them for exploring that bit of lore and what the circumstances might've been behind it.

It's very ironic to me that the "oh we're all freaks" website draws their line at, like... petplay or something and you can't go any freak beyond that. Now, it can certainly be argued that certain acts aren't in character for certain characters, but people as a whole are also highly nuanced. Someone can frequent a prostitue and then go home to their happy wife and happy little family. An alcoholic sociopath with anger issues can hold down a stable job and be a good friend and a good person—is that also out of character? People are confusing, extremely self-contradicting creatures, and it's fun to get into their heads. We've all got skeletons in our closet. We've all got something problematic about us, or our pasts. No one's hands are really clean—there's always dirt somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it. Stones in glass houses. I think harrassing someone for the fiction they create is bullshit, personally, even if I do find it morally reprehensible and disgusting in my own eyes. Depiction doesn't equal endorsement.

And people are allowed to not want to interact with people who depict or engage with certain things! God knows I have a few of my own that I wouldn't want to interact with. I just don't reckon nobody should be harrassed for it. I don't reckon real people should be harmed over fiction. I can recall a few groups to recent memory who ordered certain works destroyed, who demanded certain things not be talked about or written about or art done of them, and none of them were the good guys.

SAVITAR. Every time I see “Savitar wasn’t a villain, he was just broken”, an angel loses its wings.

Listen guys. I’m going to hold your hand while I say this. And note that this is coming from someone who is (unfortunately) obsessed with him (with his potential more than his actual canon self, but still): Savitar is a villain. More to the point, he’s a pretty terribly written one! Bro plotted to kill Iris, thought he’d done it successfully, gloated about it…then for some reason had a soft spot for her in 3x23. Oh, and he triggered Cisco’s trauma to scare him (the vibrating hand) and treated KF, his so-called partner in crime, terribly (which is why I’m always shocked whenever people call him and KF “outcasts who find solace in each other” because…lol what?). Villains can be broken and still be villains!!

14: that one thing you see in fics all the time

So admittedly in regards to fics, I stay within my little niche (I’m never made happy by going in the main tags anywhere), so I’m not ~super~ familiar with fanfic trends in this fandom apart from the numbers

Ooh though I can answer in regards to a trend I’ve seen with Caitlin/Cisco fics, since I used to be a pretty strong fan of the ship (and I also mentioned this in the notes of your amazing post where you touch on this):

The way they treat Kamilla is…interesting, and I don’t mean that as a compliment. There’s this general tendency to write her as second-best, as a stepping stone, as a “boring”, “nice” girlfriend who Cisco deserves better than. And that sits so poorly with me. Just because she’s not a meta doesn’t make her boring! And Cisco loves her so, so much! Sure, their writing isn’t perfect, and there are things I would love to flesh out more when I get to writing them in the Morgan AU (because yes, by the way, Kamisco will be endgame there), but…idk.

What really gets me is one fic in which Caitlin said “you deserve better than nice” to Cisco about Kamilla, and then at the end of the fic, Cisco ends up with Caitlin. Like…it feels icky yk? It almost reads of s1 Barry behavior towards Westhawne, and I just…ugh. Extra icky that Kamilla is Asian and Caitlin is white.

(Those two things weren’t the author’s intention, by the way - they do genuinely like Kamilla and have talked about her in a way that does support that. But I question how much if they can have a character say such a thing about her and then have Cisco rush into the arms of the person who said that)

And mind you…I like Caitlin/Cisco! I liked it from the start, and I’m still fond of it (I still have fics of them in my bookmarks because they warm my heart when I think of them). But I don’t interact with the fandom anymore because of shenanigans like this…and I’m not gonna lie, it sucked some of the joy out of the ship in general for me. I only like it in small doses nowadays, and never in a context where Cisco has already met Kamilla.

17: there should be more of this type of fic/art

so aside from my Morgan AU related bias (anyone who draws or writes Barry & Morgan, I will love you forever)…more fics for Saviris, Savisco, even Savitar/Mirror Iris* (there’s only one fic of that last ship somehow...something I will be trying to rectify next year)

*I ofc don’t like Mirror Iris, but ideally those Savitar/Mirror Iris fics would be set prior to, and instead of, her raping Barry 🫶 in that context, I do very much like her

1. why did you choose your url?

i wanted a new fandom penname and at the time adjective + noun names were a thing. i fiddled with several different variations, tried and failed to acquire kaleidoscopicmoonrise at the time (it's mine now!!), and landed on this one. i wanted something a little spooky, especially since soul eater was my fandom at the time - though it doesn't feel like it now that my icon is a lot more sane-looking lmfao

2. any sideblogs? if you have them name them and why you have them.

uh. yeah. a stupid amount (like 30+?), so i'm definitely not naming them all. most active are obviously this howl blog, my main blog @commandersya, this one for danny phantom and gravity falls stuff, @howlingspacegoo gets some activity every now and then when venom stuff resurfaces, and some others i use for reblogging specific reference stuff. most of the rest are for fandom events i've run in the past.

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

since like 2011-2012. i've seen it all.

4. do you have a queue tag?

lmao absolutely not. i don't use the queue function, though on occasion i'll schedule posts to space them out when i'm going through a tag in order not to reblog all of it at once, or for specific dates like halloween

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

this one was for soul eater writing purposes. tumblr in general was because my cousin dragged me into it and then i realized there was a lot of bandom stuff in here (i was really into black veil brides for my first year or two on tumblr)

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

i broke ties with the soul eater fandom in a not great way and wanted to change my icon. yoi provided the perfect yuri expression with the kind of benevolent dictator smile i really like, despite that not being the original intent for it when the animators drew it ✊😔

7. why did you choose your header?

i had to check my header real quick lmfao. jason todd is just an excellent blorbo and when a good artist draws him.... 👀👀👀

His Heir pt. 29 (Darth Maul x pregnant! reader)

A/N: No, I did not mistakenly post this on my side blog. If you have not heard my main blog is currently shadowbanned. IDK when it'll get fixed but I have sent in a support form and have even tweeted to support and have yet to hear anything about it. So for now until it's fixed I'll post here and reblog to my main blog.

Warnings: Angst, dialogue-heavy... italics are flashback

This morning I found myself standing in the meeting room going over the plan for my short trip to Mandalore. It felt more like a battle meeting than just a trip debrief. Maul was obviously worried about me, but it felt like he was going a bit overboard.

“And I want check-ins every 3 hours.” He declared.

I shook my head, “Three?”

“Yes. I need to ensure both of you are okay.” He said.

“With all due respect, that’s overkill. I can’t do every three hours. Do you really want me to wake up every three hours? I barely get enough sleep as it is.” I said.

Maul sighed, “Fine, every 6 hours, is that okay?”

I knew he wasn’t thrilled that I just snapped at him in front of the guards. He was in no way mad or upset with me, just not thrilled about what I did. So I made him a counteroffer.

“Every six hours, and as needed.”

I knew that suggestion gave him peace of mind by the way his shoulders relaxed.

“That’s everything. The ship should be ready. Guards, you are all dismissed. Lady Yn and I will meet you there momentarily.” Maul said.

I watched as they all filed out before Maul was stepping over to me. He held his hand out to me, offering to help me up. I took it but didn’t let it go once I was standing. Instead, I gave it a hard squeeze in comfort.

“We’ll be okay, Maul.” I said, bringing my other hand to rest on my stomach.

“I know, I know… I’m just worried is all. A lot could go wrong.” He admitted.

“But it won’t. Everything will be okay. 20 hours in hyperspeed, a maximum of 12 on Mandalore, and another 20 hours back. I would say you won’t even miss me, but that would be a lie, wouldn’t it?” I asked, my voice holding a slightly playful tone as I teased him.

“Missing you is a severe understatement.” He admitted, bringing his free hand up to cup my cheek.

I turned my head to press a kiss to his palm before turning back to him and leaning into his hand a bit more.

“We need to get going, the sooner I leave, the sooner I can be back.” I sighed, dreading the inevitable.

I had been able to keep my emotions at bay for the whole morning, but I could feel them bubbling up now. I took a deep breath to keep back the tears I could feel pricking up behind my eyes.

“It’ll be okay,” Maul said, I guess it was now his turn to comfort me, “I’ll always just be a com away. It doesn’t matter what time it is, or what I’m doing, I will always answer.”

I nodded and wiped the few tears that had slipped out.

“Let’s get going.” He offered me his arm.

“Shouldn’t we do our goodbyes here? If we’re too affectionate out there it may stir up a rumor.” I said.

“I don’t care what they think or say. Besides, there have been rumors about the nature of our relationship before, have there not?” Maul asked.

“I mean, yeah there have been. But that was before we…” I trailed off since I still didn’t know what to label us as.

He nodded, “If you would prefer to do it here, we can…”

“I don’t mind either way. If you’re okay with doing it out there, I am too.” I said and he nodded, offering me his arm once again.

I took it this time and tucked myself as close to him as I could, savoring these moments. Though it would only be a few days I was going to miss him. I had spent so much time with him since moving in, that the idea of not seeing him for more than a few hours was just strange.

He led us through the halls of the compound and to the hangar. When we entered I saw the guards getting into the ranks as droids and mechanics finished preparing the ship to leave. It was only now that I looked at the ship they were working on that I realized they weren’t preparing mine, they were getting Maul’s personal ship ready. He must have sensed my confusion because he leaned over to speak to me.

“I had them prepare mine instead. It has more safety features than yours does.” He explained.

I nodded, “Good idea.”

We walked over to the ship where one of the lead mechanics met us.

“Lord Maul, your ship is ready for departure.”

Maul gave the woman a nod as I spoke up, “Thank you, Tika.”

She gave me a small smile before walking off. Maul gave the signal to the head guard to begin loading up. As they walked passed us, I turned to face Maul and immediately my lower lip began to tremble slightly.

“Just a few days.” He reminded me gently.

I took a deep breath and nodded, “I know there are a lot of people still here but can I have one last hug?” I whispered.

He gave me a small smile, “Of course.”

His arms came around to hold me around the shoulders while mine went around his waist. I buried my face into his neck, taking in his scent one last time. I so badly wanted to be able to pull away and give him one last kiss, but I knew I couldn’t not with this many people watching. So instead, I opted to press a quick kiss to the junction where his neck met his shoulders. To my surprise, he also pressed a kiss to the side of my head. I pulled away reluctantly.

“I don’t care how late it is when you return, I’ll be waiting here for both of you.” He said as his hand found its way to my stomach, he was still wearing the faintest of smiles.

I nodded and took a deep breath, “I should go, they’re waiting on me.”

He gave a small nod.

It felt like time slowed as I stepped away from him and towards the ship’s ramp.

The ship was homey but still felt so cold. I decided to just go to the main sleeping quarters for a bit while we took off and got going. When I got there I couldn’t help but smile. Sitting on the dresser was a basket with at least ten portion bread packets in it and a note written on flimsiplast. The note read:

I wouldn’t want our son to go without his favorite snack. -Maul

The note made my chest swell with love. It was such a small gesture but it was the sweetest thing to me. After washing my face from the tears, I snagged one of the portions and went ahead and made it up. By the time I walked out of the sleeping quarters, we were already in hyperspace. I made my way up to the front of the ship to have a seat with the pilots for a bit.

The next 19 hours were fairly uneventful. And soon we were on the approach to the Surface of Mandalore. I was back up in the cockpit of the ship awaiting the guards on the surface to give us clearance. We were granted permission to land. I left the ship with a total of eight guards with me.

Glancing around, it felt weird to be back here after all this time. The palace was practically gone, only certain parts were still standing.

“This shouldn’t take long.” I said to the guards.

“Right this way.” Our escort said.

“I wasn’t aware that we would have an escort today.” I said.

“Well, the route to the library is littered with debris. I’m here to ensure your safety.” She said.

I shrugged it off, not thinking too much about it. We followed her until we were at the doors to the library.

“Here you go!” The escort said cheerfully.

“Thank you. You all wait here.” I said, but I was stopped by the leading guard.

“Lady Yn, perhaps we should go in and scout the area before you enter.” He suggested.

“I can assure you all, it’s secure. The only people that have ever stepped foot in the ruins of the palace are the patrol guards.”

“I think I’ll be okay.” I said before going in.

It was eerily quiet in there. Even more so than it was when I used to visit here before meeting Maul.

I knew where the book should be but I wanted to take my time looking around for a moment. My heart stopped when I rounded the corner and saw someone squatted down looking at the lowest row of books on the shelf. It only took a second for me to recognize the figure.

“How the hell did you get in here?” I asked causing her to jump and pull her blaster out.

“Damn it, Yn. I could’ve shot you.” She said, putting the weapon away.

“Oh, don’t act like you wouldn’t enjoy that, even just the slightest bit. Now tell me what you’re doing here before I call the guards.”

She sighed, “I’m here for the family book.”

“You don’t have to rights to that. Only the Mandalore does. And that’s me.”

She scoffed.

“Excuse you. Show some respect.”

“Really? You cannot be serious, Yn. The is nothing to rule over. The Mandalorian people have been scattered across the galaxy-”

“Only those who chose not to accept the traditions of Mandlore are scattered, the rest followed Maul and me to Dathomir. Just because they are not here or under Death Watch’s rule does not mean a thing. They have upheld the traditions of Mandalore, whoever wields the Darksaber is the ruler of the Mandalorian people, right now that is me.”

“I could challenge you for it. Right here, right now.” She said.

“You wouldn’t though.” I challenged.

“Oh really?”

“Really, or you would have already done it. You know that challenging me would mean killing me, and you don’t have it in you to do it… besides even if you did, it wouldn’t be you would fight.”

“Yes, it would have that’s the rule.”

I shook my head, “In the event that the Mandalore is with child and is challenged, they may choose someone to fight for them. Traditionally it’s the father of the child that fights. So you would be fighting Maul. You’ve seen him fight before, he doesn’t play fair. You would lose.”

She stayed silent, knowing I was right.

“Why are you here? What happened to me being too far gone, as you put it?” I asked.

“Someone told me you’d be here, I snuck in during the shift change of the guards… I just needed to see you, talk to you one last time…”

“I have nothing to say to you. Especially not after you insulted me, my baby, and their father all in one go.”

“I know…” She looked down and if my guard wasn’t so far up I might have believed her shamefulness, “I am sorry, not for insulting Maul. My opinion of him will never change. But I should not have insulted you or your child… I just want to know what happened. We were so close as children what happened to that?”

“Do you want the truth?” I could feel tears stinging my eyes as memories flooded my brain.

“Yes.”

“My happiest memories from childhood, since before Maul came into my life were when I just wasn’t around you. I don’t know how else to say it but being away from you I felt way happier than I did when I was with you. When we were little, I only ever wanted your approval..” I began.

When I was brought into Sundari Palace, I remember meeting my new siblings. Satine was dressed in what I could only assume was her finest gown while it was clear Bo Katan had just come from some sort of training as she wore trousers and a fitted shirt. I decided at that moment I wanted to be just like Bo Katan.

Once I was older and was learning what was expected of me, I knew being like her was out of the question, but that didn’t stop me from trying. She had caught me many times trying to sneak into the training grounds and would reprimand me every time effectively getting me in trouble with her parents.

Looking back, I’m not sure she even realized what she was doing but it doesn’t erase how it made me feel. She would constantly put me down saying that I was never going to be like her. I remember even asking her once to show me her blaster and she laughed. From that moment on I knew I had to shower her I was strong enough to be like her.

As we got older, after her parents passed, I broke out of my shell a little more in an attempt to prove myself to her. It was never enough. Nothing was ever good enough for her.

After years of failing to prove myself to her. I gave up and decided it was time to make my own path. Shortly after that is when Maul showed up. He saved me.

“Yn, that’s hardly fair, we were kids!”

“No! How dare you say that it’s not fair? You ruined my childhood. I never got the praise you and Satine got. I didn’t get the chance to choose what I wanted to do, I tried to and you put me down every single time. So don’t say it’s not fair, sure maybe you weren’t aware because we were kids. But do not stand there and tell me I don’t have the right to feel this way. Because I do. I wasn’t the one talking shit about my sisters every chance that I got.”

“I didn’t-”

“Bullshit!” I cut her off, “If it wasn’t about Satine being a pacifist, it was about me and how I was obsessed with you and how I sucked at everything I tried to do. I was only obsessed because I wanted to be you… I thought you were the fucking coolest. You were badass. I only sucked at everything because you refused to help me no matter how much I asked. I was alone. Then when Maul showed up and I tried confiding in you that he had faith in me to do something with my life you freaked out… you pushed me away even further. I guess you didn’t realize that pushing me away from you was pushing me further into the arms of the one you hated the most… So yeah, excuse me for not wanting anything to do with you anymore…” Tears were streaming down my face by the time I finished.

“Yn, I never knew…”

“How could you? You never really paid me any attention unless it was to put me down.”

There was a beat of silence before I spoke up again, “I need to find that book and get out of here. I suggest you get out of here too before I alert the guards of an intruder…”

“You can take my page out of it.”

“Why would I do that?” I asked, it was a stupid question that I knew she was just using to manipulate me into feeling bad. It wouldn’t work though.

“I mean you clearly hate me, why keep a reminder of me and all the mean things I did to you?” She snapped.

“Because it’s still history. I can’t erase it just because I don’t like it. And just so you know, I won’t talk shit about to anyone. Not even to my son, I wish I could tell him about how wonderful his aunt was, but I won’t lie to him either. I refuse to stoop as low as you did, I’ll tell him we just didn’t get along, it will be up to him if he ever wants to know you. Also, I will be making sure that Korkie’s page is updated with his mother and father actually listed.”

“Do you want Maul to hunt him down?”

“He won’t. His issue was with Kenobi. The Jedi are gone, he is satisfied with that.”

Our heads both turned as the sound of the heavy double doors being opened echoed off the walls.

“That’s probably my guards coming to find me.” That was all I said, but it was enough for her to get the hint to get out of here.

“Goodbye, sister.”

I scoffed and shook my head, “I am not you sister, I never was.”

She said nothing as she turned away and put on her helmet and ran off in the other direction.

“Lady Yn?”

“Over here!” I called out to them.

“Lady Yn, are you alright?” One of them asked when they finally found me and could see the tear stains on my cheeks.

“Hormones.” I quickly lied, “I guess being back here has caused me to have some unpredictable emotions.”

She nodded understandably.

“Any luck on the book?”

“Not yet, but I think I know where it might be.” And with that, I began to walk off to find it.

It didn’t take long for me to find it. Once I had it, I was happy to be heading back to the ship. Once we had taken off and were in hyperspace again I called Maul.

“I was starting to get worried.” Maul teased once he answered.

“I’m sorry.” I mumbled.

“What’s wrong, my love?”

“Nothing, just a long day.” I tried to lie.

He saw right through it and his face was showing his concern, “No something is troubling you. Did something happen on Mandalore? Are you and the baby alright? I can arrange to meet the ship if I need to.”

I shook my head, “No I’m alright. We both are… physically. But someone was there… Bo Katan. She snuck in under the radar.”

I could tell Maul was angry the moment I said that.

“She didn’t try to hurt us… But I finally told her everything. About why I left and why I refused to ever speak with her despite her attempts. I told her how she made me feel growing up. She didn’t take it very well… I haven’t considered her my sister for a long time, but I guess finally getting all of that off my chest and knowing that it was my last time probably ever seeing her just hit me harder than I was expecting. He probably wasn’t making it any easier either with all the hormones and everything…”

Maul was quiet as he listened intently.

“Maul, if I hated her so much, why does it hurt so much still?” I asked.

“I don’t know, darling. Emotions are something that oftentimes elude me. I only wish I was there with you to help you through them.”

“I wish you were here too…” I whispered.

I could tell by the look on his face that he was thinking.

“Give me one moment, my love.” He said before turning away from the hologram. He grabbed his com and spoke into it, “Qi’ra clear my schedule for the rest of the day. I have more pressing matters to attend to.” He said.

“I may not be there physically but I do not plan on hanging up until you’ve landed back in the hangar.”

I smiled at that. If I couldn’t have him here physically for comfort, this was the next best thing. We stayed on the call for the whole rest of the trip. I ended up falling asleep even but when I woke up he was still there. Only now he was in the kitchen, making himself breakfast wearing only a pair of sweatpants low on his waist.

“Staring is rude, my love.”

“Can’t help it.” I mumbled.

He smiled hearing my sleepy voice, “Only about 4 more hours.”

“Still too long… You’re still going to meet us in the hangar?”

“Of course, dear. I promised you, did I not?”
