Alec watched King put their sword away, taking in their words.  Who would save a mafia boss if they didn’t want money?  He stared at the other trying to figure out what their true motive was. 

He glanced at the other’s hand, noticing the mark on their arm.  Quickly he tried to figure out if it was a mark of another family, but he couldn’t place it anywhere and just hoped that it was some kind of fashion tattoo.  Eventually he extended his own hand to return the handshake.

“Alec Delamarre.”

He didn’t want to give too much away since it didn’t seem like the other knew who he really was.  The less he had to worry about the better.

“Since you don’t want money.  Is there anything you would rather have as a thanks in return?  It would be rude of me if I didn’t repay you somehow.”

Alec wasn’t one who liked to have debts hanging over his head,

King watched the men run off, pausing from chasing after them. They weren't their main focus. A frown creasing their lips at the sight of the men being cowards just because they appeared. Though, soon their attention was taken by the man across from them that they saved. Blue eyes gazed over them in a languid fashion, observing if they recognized him or not. Finding that they didn't, they listened to his words. One blink. Two blinks. Three, and a laugh threatened to escape at the words. They couldn't fully process that someone was attempting to pay them off to get rid of them quickly. The fact they were speaking English meant that King had to think of their words a bit more. Their mother had taught them both Japanese and English.

"I've no need for money. Good idea though, most would appreciate it... I just saw you cornered and decided it was stupid to let you tough it out alone after I already saw it happening. ... Seriously, I don't even think my bank works here. So don't worry about it."

King swiftly sheathed their sword and adjusted the travel backpack on their back. They stared at him for a long moment and then offered their left hand in a handshake. The birthmark winding around their forearm and down to their hand was clearly exposed, an unusual sight but maybe not that unusual to Alec. The way they introduced themselves was in typical Japanese fashion, despite English words flowing from their lips like a native.

"I'm Evans Ryuusa, but call me King."

Alec really finds King attractive.  He likes that he can relax around them and just be himself, they don’t expect Alec to be this perfect boss.  He won’t admit it but he actually likes that King is taller than him.
