AH update on yesterdays craftin time

so i was aiming to make a like pendant for the health deities as i tend to worship them alot n while i already made a crochet snake a while ago i also kinda wanted a necklace so since theyre mad expensive for a cute one id make on myself first n see how it went

for a first try i think they came out pre cute but i def like the one on the left better due to the paper seam being way less noticeable but i do like the snake on the right better

i might just make another one tbh n see if i can make it better BUT i am still pre proud of myself for trying

for this staff its like a walkin stick n therefore has the bump on top n isn’t supposed to be super smooth but this is smaller than my forefinger haha the snake technically isnt a specific color n alotta ppl depicted it green BUT i went with the snake thats tied to asclepius which is the two toned brown lil guys

I pray to Asclepius more often than i initially intended, I’ll have to make an actual altar for him and his children. Or at least add their imagery to Apollo’s. I tend to use his altar as surrogate for his family and associations.

as i give offerings to epione, asclepius, iaso, aegle, aceso, panacea, hygieia, and apollo for help with my chronic illness ive been trying so hard to start taking my meds again cuz i havent taken some of them in like a year (i get the side effects really bad so) n ive been taking the one thats like an upped vitamin for like a week ish now and like that was a fucking hurtle BUT i did it for them because i really only take my allergy meds for me n everything else for them atm

so yea since tuesday is the day i give them physical offerings i worked myself up n just took the cancer med that used to make me feel fucking awful n i only took one n i feel really anxious about it rn n ljke im gonna throw up but im trying not to ok

but yea its a really big thing for me to even take it tbh so while im kinda spiraling rn im tryin to keep positive i asked them to help me with the side effects so theyre not so bad so that i can actually take my meds for them but yea

the first med i did this with last week made my stomach feel awful for like three days n then it mellowed out so if we can do that with this one ill keep trying to take it — if not i will not take this fuckin med idgaf cuz its what caused some suicidal vibes of mkne to heighten from how if made my quality of life so fucking bad so oooooo okokk sorry tryjn to be positive about it

Inter-Dimensional Music Through Iasos (1979)

The new age pioneer Iasos ascended to some other galaxy recently — so I've been listening to a lot of Iasos! It's sublime stuff, still kind of the epitome of the genre: unabashedly beautiful, thoroughly cosmic and occasionally a little bit goofy. In the past decade or so, New Age has gone from a punchline to something taken quite seriously, but Iasos floated above any and all discourse. He made the music he wanted to make and we're all the better for it.

This charming half-hour documentary from the late 70s gives you a little glimpse of the man himself. A funny guy — you might chuckle at his guru-esque vibes, his quasi cult-y persona, his painfully earnest speeches about inter-dimensional beings, etc. But then you listen to him conjuring up those amazing sounds and you think ... well, fair enough! Αντίο, Iasos!
