My mom works in state department so i thoight it wouldn't effect me terribly until i moved back in 4 years for college. But i found this pdf of the action plan and there is an entire section 29 pages long on the department of state. They think that its too woke but thats honestly because you have to well educated and cultured to work in state seeing as you are constantly learning and experiencing culture and differences. So they want to hand pick political appointees and add more positions for them to align with views.

They also say the state department doesn't focus on immigration as much as the should but that is one sub department of a sub department of the state department???? They also said that visa are used too much as 'international welfare' instead of a tool to better the US??? Like what?? They want us to start using visas as weapons. My dad accepts and denies visas as well so i know a bit about the process and its bullshit. In the countries I've lived in going to the US gives so much opportunity and they were saying that if a country refuses to accept someone from their country back after say commiting a crime in the US then we should withold possibly all kinds of visas (immagrant and tourist visas. And saying all implies also banning politicians, leaders of the country, DIPLOMATS). Thats fucking insane. Also saying that a country should recripricate not only visas but favorable visas or we shouldnt give visas either. Wtf.

And then people who are open about being left, democratic, 'woke' etc. Could also be fired. Luckily my mom has tenure so it would be very hard to prove reasonable cause.

And the education. I've heard on the extreme end he wants to make all schools private. The problem with this is that i go to expensive international schools that i wouldn't be able to afford because the government pays for it because i would have access to free education in the US so they have to make sure i have free education in a language i can speak. So if all schools went private (unlikely ik but lets prepare for the absolute worst) would they stop paying?? Probably and if they do i have to move back to the US. Which not being in the US is the only thing that makes me feel even a bit safe at the possibility of him being elected.

Then of course there is the fact im openly queer, and im female. Those are the two major things im scared about that come off the top of my head. Im also worried about my friends whos parents are also in state and who also would not be able to afford the tuition so they would have to move back.

Im scared and i dont know what to do bc i have this feeling that if he gets elected he'll try to stay or we'll just keep getting presidents like him. People are burning ballot boxes. The amount of trump supporters is so overwhelming. Ik its because theyre loud but im still scared. Im terrified. And i feel like im being dramatic but im so so scared

That was so refreshing to see bcs thats not what i was expecting and thank god it exceeded my expectations 😭 thats why i keep saying kai is kyouya done right bcs he kinda is…. Awase - eat all the food and ride all the rides as quickly as possible only to inevitably get sick from the sugar and spinning rides mixed together.

Sen - he probably goes just to take aesthetic pictures like the ferris wheel at sunset and the neon lights of the games lighting up the street. He does spend a lot of time just hanging around the his friends and doing what they are though.

Kamakiri - hes only there because he was forced to by a friend. He refuses to ride any of the rides so he just akwardly waits for his friend(s) at the ride exits with a single corndog.

Kuroiro - most carnivals have that one ride thats haunted house themed or kinda scary (at least for kids its scary) and those are always going to be his favorite. He dosent care that they're kinda boring he loves them anyways

Kendo - i dont think shes very picky about what she does or likes at the carnival yk? As long as shes with people she likes hanging out with shes having fun. (She cant deny that she loves the food though)

Kodai - she probably prefers the cute little carnival games over the big rides. Not to mention shes surprisingly good at the games (even though theyre rigged)

Komori - she also prefers the games at carnivals over the rides but its mostly just because she wants to win the prizes. Shes not that good at the games though.

Shiozaki - she prefers the slower rides or the games over the really fast rides because she has a lot of hair that gets tangled really easily. Even the slow rides will get her hair pretty tangled if she dosent tie it up.

Shishida - Shishida stays as far from the carnivals food as possible simply because its all sticky or messy and gets stuck in his fur(hair?) And it takes forever to get out. He does prefer the fast rides over anything else at the fair btw.

Shoda - he'll say that the games are scams so he doesn't like them but the second he actually plays one of the games his classmates find out that he practically cant lose. He ends up getting asked to win prizes for his classmates but he dosent mind (he likes being helpful)

Pony - she is trying every food in sight. She constantly has her arms filled with different sweet treats and shes eating it all as quickly as possible in the ride lines because no food is allowed on the rides.

Tsubaraba - he likes the teacups. Ik its a ride made for kids but he forces all of the common sense kings to get in one of the teacups together so they can see how fast they can make it spin. (Yes they all get dizzy and sick afterwards)

Tetsutetsu - any ride that hes guarenteed to get sick on is his favorite. If it moves fast and has little to no safety measures in place he loves it lmao.

Tokage - shes tries to play as many games and ride as many rides as she can before the carnival closes for the day. She dosent really have a preference she just wants to do as much as possible

Manga - he dosent really have a favorite ride but he does prefer the rides over the games. He takes a little sketch book into the lines so he can doodle the things around him while waiting.

Honenuki - hes the type to not enjoy things as much on his own rather than with people. He dosent care what hes doing at the carnival as long as hes with someone he enjoys being around hes having fun. He will just do what the person hes with wants to do.

Bondo - he likes the ferris wheel. Something about the calmness of that one ride despite the chaos all around the rest of the carnival and the way it always gives the most beautiful views is just very nice in his opinion.

Monoma - hes going to act all smug about how the carnival games are a scam but hes so good that he will win anyways and then he loses so badly that its kinda embarrassing for him.

Reiko - Reiko dosent seem like the carnival type to me. So if she were to go it was because shes the bag girl. While people go on rides and whatnot she holds and guards their things until their done. She does like the food at carnivals in moderation.

Rin - he spends his whole time there silently looking at the weld jobs on the support poles for the rides and stuff and deciding to ride if its done well or not. He does like to freak out kosei by nerding out about how a bad weld job can cause the rides structure to fail (and awase obviously finds it hilarious while sen is a bit indifferent.)

off to a great start with sunvant/lord eclipse. ik a lot of ppl like to make them fluffy but they got so much toxic potential. like idk man. the power imbalance + lord eclipse being both physically and emotionally abusive is some good shit. sunvant is absolutely and purely devoted to him. nothing eclipse could do would change that. every punishment is a lesson. every reward is a blessing. every command is a job he does happily. yes, hes absolutely terrified of his lord, but isnt everyone? isnt everyone meant to be scared of their god? if he isnt scared then is he really appreciating his lords true beauty and raw power? idk man. some good shit right there

the obvious sun/eclipse. i can never escape them in any form. main dimension sun/eclipse, dark sun/eclipse, sunbeam (eaps sun)/eclipse, sunvant/eclipse. all of the above pls. but if we're going with MAIN dimension suneclipse their relationship could be sooo many things. this is for my own au becuzzzz i wont let go of a chance to talk about them :3 we got sunshine(sunvant)/solstice(eclipse) and they are an absolute WRECK. theyre both fucked over by their past and the beginnings of their relationship is so rocky bc sunshine doesnt trust anyone + doesnt understand nor believe he deserves affection (hes also constantly wanting to go back to lord eclipse). meanwhile solstice doesnt even see sunshine as a person and rather as a project to work on (and also an opportunity to maybe better himself. maybe if he can help someone then that means he can be a better person). solar comes in later and while i havent Completely thought about their dynamics i will say that both solar and solstice are very overprotective of sunshine. they both constantly butt heads bc they both want to protect him while sunshine just sits in a corner head in hands trying to figure out how to get them to stop without having his own panic attack (they get better tho dw <3)

Grian cheating is actually a recurring plot point in many desert duo fanfics. It isn't ignored. The difference is that when discussing the CCs, Grian's cheating was actually a result of wanting to switch up his content (Double Life happened after a post on the Hermitcraft subreddit where Grian was criticized for always grouping up with Scar and Mumbo), while behavior towards Jimmy often doesn't have as clear of an OOC reason for it.

Furthermore, Scott isn't the only one who gets flack for how he treats Jimmy - to use a recent example, people had major issues with Sausage's behavior towards Jimmy in Minecraft SOS. To use an older example, Jimmy had to reassure chat in one of his Raft streams that he was okay with how Grian, Joel, and fWhip (all married to women) were treating him, and even repeated that reassurance when he cut it down into a shorter video.

It's also important to note that Scott isn't the only LGBTQ content creator in the MCYT sphere. Joey Graceffa is gay; Lizzie, Gem, and Cleo are bi; Shubble is ace. You also make assumptions in your post that Pearl is straight, which we don't know for sure, as she's private about her personal life. While she has a boyfriend (at least I'm pretty sure he's a boyfriend), she often refers to him as a roommate instead of a boyfriend, and she could very well be bi/pan or ace. We don't know, and assuming people are straight as default can cause issues.

Merry Christmas! I hope all of you had a wonderful holidays and hope the new year treats you all well. This might be the only fic I posted this year (ik ik) but for some reason when I saw this ask, my fingers danced across the keyboard and I didn't think twice about things. It felt freeing and fresh and I haven't written like this in such a long time, I had almost forgotten that I could.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this. I will say it is very slight nsfw, I may not even consider it that either. But this is where my mind took me. I was looking at a more fluffy approach to their relationship so I do hope you like it. (if its not what you had in mind, send in another request)

Hummingbird Heartbeat

Adrenaline, it makes you do crazy things.

It was one of her favorite things. Doing crazy things to get that sensation that ices over your body and your heart pounding. It was rare that her hands would get sweaty from anticipation or that her heart beat a little too fast. However, she tried anything to get that feeling.

Maybe she was a junkie for it. Maybe it wasn't that healthy to want to feel that way. It wasn't like she wanted it constantly, but when you can fly and shoot lasers and see the world in a different way, your standards become a little higher.

Rollercoasters were one that most people did. So Buttercup and her friends would fill up in Mitch's shitty van and go to the nearest theme parks to get that adrenaline coursing through their bodies. It was satisfying for a moment but she needed more.

Once Butch became part of their pack in high school, thats when it got good. They would race each other in the sky and throw chunks of buildings at each other. Sometimes they would fly up to the top of a skyscraper and free fall until they were an inch from the ground and see who would fly first.

They were always getting into dangerous situations but never involving their other friends because Buttercup might be fearless, but she wasn't stupid. Sometimes these things were just for the two of them.

But even when she would close her eyes and gravity would take hold of her, that anticipation still wouldn't get the smallest itch out of her system. She was afraid that she never would get that feeling.

She had told him of this stupid idea in her head about not getting to feel a rush beyond the usual. Perhaps it wasn't possible. He would listen and then suggest deep diving into the ocean or running though a fire. She said no to the latter.

Then one night in the summer after they had graduated, they went to the forest. They came here often enough that she had memorized a few of the trees wood patterns.

It was just the two of them. It was normal for them to hang out but lately she's been wanting it more. She loves her friends but there was something about being around someone who knew your mind before you've even spoken a word.

She thought it was gonna be one of those nights where they float above the trees and gossip about everything and nothing at all. It could be a serious talk night where they share their troubles and let them soar until they reach the stars.

When they got to their spot, Butch took out a bandana that had a dark green swirly pattern on it. Buttercup raised her eyebrows.

"What am I suppose to do with this?" She questioned.

He only laughed and approached her. He spun her around so she faced the trees and covered her eyes. His chest was against her back much closer than they had been before. His fingertips brushed some of her hair and he was gentle as he tied it.

"Fly." He whispered in her ear.

They say that your other senses get heightened once one is removed. Right now all she could focus on was the smell of his cologne. Pine and campfire, a slight smoke to him that she desperately tried not to take a deep breath to smell him better.

Her heart pounded when he told her to fly.

"I can't see." She whispered.

Why was she whispering? Why did she feel small when they were the only ones here?

She could feel his laugh on her neck.

"No shit. I'm gonna tell you where to go so you don't smack into a tree."

"Promise?"

She had never heard him so serious.

"I promise." He whispered to her.

Slowly her feet came off the ground. She wasn't as scared as she was worried. She didn't want to crash but the trees were so close to each other that she wasn't sure if flying through them with her sight would have her not have a scrape or two.

But instead of coming back down, she bolted into the trees. She could feel the wind in her hair and Butch calling behind her.

"Right! Left" Left! Right"

Even though she couldn't see, she didn't feel anything but the rush. Sometimes she would turn over or do a corkscrew and hear Butch laugh behind her. If a tree branch did hit her, she didn't feel it. She only felt alive.

"You're doing great, Doll!" She could hear his voice.

Doll. That was the nickname he had for her. It didn't suite her. Not like the other ones. Sugar for Bubbles was common for most people to use. It lost any sliver of endearment and Butch liked to called that usually when he was being sarcastic with her.

She once asked him why he called her doll but he only shrugged. He said something about not even realizing that he did it. She dropped it after but she noticed every time. She also would call him doll in spite of him, but he never seemed to mind.

Her heart picked up and she wasn't sure if it was the thought of connecting with a tree in a millisecond. So she kept going for a few more minutes until Butch told her to ease up and they came across a small clearing.

Her feet connected to the ground and she took off the blindfold with a smile.

"That was crazy!" She jumped up. It was definitely a rush she had craved. "I've never felt more alive!" She shouted to the open sky.

"See told you I wouldn't let you crash." He smiled as he join her on the earth.

Maybe it was the adrenaline pumping through her and maybe it was a mix of emotions. Maybe it was the way the moonlight captured his face. Maybe it was the way her heart always seemed to beat around him. Maybe, just maybe, she craved something more.

And maybe she grabbed the front of his black shirt and yanked him until their lips smashed together. Maybe it was the way that he didn't hesitate for a single second and pulled her closer. Or maybe it was the way that when they pulled a part for a single second he whispered,

Finally, against her lips.

Somehow her back was against a tree and she didn't mind the slight roughness. Her hand found his hair and her legs found their way around his waist.

Sometimes she would lay in her bed and stare at the ceiling while her sisters were asleep and think about his eyes. How they were a dark velvety green but the light could capture them in a way that would make her lips part slightly. She would think about what would happened if she admitted something she didn't believe herself. She would mostly think about how it would be to kiss him.

She didn't wonder anymore.

It was warm and felt perfect. One of his hands stabilized him with the tree and the other held was holding her up at her ass. Ever so often his lips would turn up into a smirk when he gave a small squeeze and a noise she would never let anyone else hear except him would escape her.

They made out for a while and her hand slipped under his shirt and traced against his abs. She wanted more. She wanted this to not be some flimsy make out session in the woods where they would never speak about it again. She didn't want to go to college in the fall without her hand in his. She didn't want anything but him.

Because kissing him sent an electric pulse through her in a way it never has before. No amount of rollercoasters, free falling or daring each other to do dumb shit could give her this rush. Maybe her hormones were going ballistic and maybe it was the moment itself, but she could feel the world shift and the stars started to align. Perhaps thats too much but thats what it felt like. Perfection.

She liked the way his body molded to hers. A perfect fit like a puzzle piece. Yes it was clique but to think that someone was made especially for her but if she was honest, it was true. Who else got to say that some genius monkey decided to create your own personal destruction? Little did that monkey realize, he created all her desires.

Butch shifted until there was no space between them. Until the bulge in his pants was felt by her and grinding to a shaky rhythm. She wanted to ignore that feeling and focus on his lips, not because she didn't want to feel him, but because she could feel just how much there was of him. She was certain if they started anything else against this tree, they wouldn't stop till morning.

"Butch." She moaned into his mouth.

"Yeah?" He grunted and suddenly his hand was under her shirt and she shivered as she remembered she didn't wear a bra.

His lips found her neck and she's trying her best to remember what she was gonna say. The rush is too much in the best way possible. While he's busy making her blush and pant, her brain decides to remember it all.

"This isn't it, right?" She say between breaths.

He stops and looks at her. His pupils are blown wide and a sloppy smirk is on his face that he can't remove.

"Whats it?"

His fingers are still tracing her skin under her shirt.

"This." She points between each other and now she feels like an idiot for ruining the moment.

Of course he surprise her when he places a quick kiss against her lips. Its much softer and tended then before and its more gentle than anything.

"I hope not." He says. "Its okay if it is, if that what you want, but I'm not very good at lying to you so there's no point."

It was true. Butch could put on a performance for the cops or his dads, even his brothers to get out of trouble. But no matter how hard he tried, he could never keep anything from her. Not even when they were younger and hated each others guts. Blossom would grill the boys and they wouldn't budge but then they would locked eyes and his mouth would open.

She smiled. "Good, yeah thats good. I don't want this to be it."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

Her feet came back to the ground and she smooth her shirt as he fixed her hair.

"Its a shame you didn't bring your car." She said as they walked.

"Why would I bring my car if we can fly?" He questioned.

She decided that he looked cute, very cute, when he didn't pick up on things.

"Oh, no reason." She shrugged.

She saw his eyes widened and she could have sworn he blushed. Never thought she would see the day that Butch would get shy.

His hand rubbed the back of his neck.

"I just wasn't thinking about that."

"I know." She smiled. "Still, it would of been fun."

He shrugged. "I don't know. I mean yes it would because who wouldn't want that, but I'd like to have more room than the back of my car."

"Why you don't want me pressed up against the window? Or better, me on top of you until not even the air can get between us?" She teased and their fingers touched.

Butch held in a groan. No doubt the image was running through his mind. "Well when you put it like that."

Buttercup laughed and hit his arm. She then wrapped her arm around his bicep and tried to keep it together when she felt him flex. She felt giddy and light. It was weird. Usually she was tough and content with everything around her but the smile would not come off her face. Maybe this is what being Bubbles was like. Maybe she understood her sister more. Or maybe she was just in a haze from him.

They arrived at the entrance of the forest where they had started. It was well into the night and she held down a yawn. She didn't want to leave yet, she just wanted to stay and be held by him.

"I don't want to leave." Butch said. She liked that they were on the same page.

"Me either."

He turned and tilted her chin up so he could see her eyes.

"How about tomorrow I pick you up in my car and we go and get breakfast and see a shitty movie at the drive in at night?"

"Butch Jojo are you asking me out on a date?" Again with her teasing. They always teased each other and she hoped it was still okay if they were together.

"I guess so. But you will be paying if you want any of this and I'm not a cheap date." He gestured to his body.

She rolled her eyes and stood on her toes and flung her arms around his shoulders. She probably could have floated up to be at his eye level, but it felt more romantic this way.

"I'd pay anything for you." She said and kissed him again.

He pulled away and brushed her bangs from her eyes.

"I'll see you tomorrow gorgeous." He said. "I'd fly you home but I'm scared of your sisters if they see me."

He was not joking.

She understood and she didn't want him to either. She didn't want anyone to know right now just because she just figured it out too. It was hers for a moment and she want to bask in it for a little.

He pressed one more quick kiss to her lips before letting her fly off into the night.

She arrived home to Bubbles passed out on her bed and Blossom sitting with a book with a small light on.

Buttercup said nothing as she kicked off her shoes and changed into her pajamas. She tried not to notice Blossoms stare on her but it was nearly impossible as she slid into her bed.

"Have a nice night?" Blossom asked as her book was set on her nightstand.

"Yep." Buttercup said she stared at her nails.

Buttercup made the mistake of looking up at her sister who stared at her with a knowing expression. Blossoms lips curled up into a smile.

"What?" Buttercup asked and she felt her heart pick up.

"Nothing, I'm just glad you had a good night."

"Oh, yeah. It was fun. Well good night."

"Night."

The sound of the lamp flicking off didn't have Buttercup close her eyes. Instead she stared at her ceiling where dim plastic stars glowed. Her smile still didn't leave as she replayed her night in her head and the possibilities of tomorrow.

She began to close her eyes and drift to sleep before she heard her older sister whisper,

"Your lipstick was smudged."

"Blossom not now-"

"Lipstick?" Bubbles voice cracked in the dark.

"All over her mouth like an animal with rabies." Blossom added.

"Oooo" Bubbles giggled.

"No, shut up." Buttercup threatened.

"You owe me five bucks Blossy."

"Five bucks!" Buttercup whined.

"Could of been ten if we got to Christmas." Blossom laughed.

"I hate both of you."

Bubbles giggled again. "Well we love you."

"So what time is he picking you up tomorrow?" Blossom asked smugly.

Now she wanted to throw her pillows at them. Buttercup flipped over on her side, back to her sisters to hide her blush even though they couldn't see her to begin with.

"Ten."

"Oooooooo." They both cooed at the same time.

"Go to bed!"

Her sisters laughter died down eventually just in time for Buttercup's phone to light up.

Ik i said this would be longer but I’ve been working on this for days and i actually dont know what i was going to do with it lmk if i should go on with the series

Now i when was trying to figure out which Frank era would fit Frankenstein i was thinking revenge so thats what i went with and is described here. However now that i think about it, Leathermouth and danger days wouldve been viable options (WHY DIDNT I DO DANGER DAYS IM LITERALLY SOBBING)

Reader is technically Frankenstein and Frank is Frankensteins monster, its like 1930s id like to think because of the 1931 Frankenstein movie, Reader is a mad scientist, Reader is lowkey kinda insane im not gonna lie (because who thinks of this kinda thing), Mikey shows up i just feel like he’s Frankensteins assistant Material, kind of detailed mention of limbs being sewn and stapled together, i mean technically Frank is put in an electric chair…, usage of Y/n,(i do plan on making this a series however if i do id probably move it to ao3 and it would be random chapters of teaching frank random things).

The village ‘mad scientist’ also known as Y/n, You had been rumored to be working on something for years, and you have. Today it should finally be done. You were currently hunched over your project, a man covered in staples, stitches and all sorts of other things. You make sure each limb is sturdy, sewing or stapling multiple times if you have to. When he comes to life —and you will make sure he will— you wouldnt want him to fall over. You need to make sure he can hold his body weight up. you are pulled out of your focus when you hear the lab door open, “I’ve brought good news.” Mikey exclaimed, holding a larger than average beaker in his hands.

You broke out into an extremely unsettling smile, Mikey only smiles back, used to your behavior having been friends with you since you were kids. “Did you get it Mikey?” You asked, at the edge of your seat, He only nods in response. You laugh and spin in your chair towards him, you grab and kiss his face enthusiastically. He playfully gags and wipes his face, having set the beaker down at your work table.

“What would i ever do without you Michael?” You exclaimed, Taking the beaker and quickly making your way to your experiment. Using your lab table to set him at a 90 degree angle you took the top of his head off, you needed to connect his brain stems. You needed to detach multiple places in order to do it, luckily you thought ahead and thought not to stitch these places before hand. Mikey made sure you had enough light to complete this task, holding a simple flashlight above your work area.

After attaching everything correctly you stapled and sewed, it would be a shame if all your hard work went to waste due to some poor patch job. You had been working on this for years, and finally you could finish it. You had done this once before, not anything near as big as this project, but on a salamander when you and Mikey were 16. The day you revived that salamander was the day you earned the ‘mad scientist’ title. “We’ve waited years for this Mikey, i dont think i possibly couldve gotten this done without you.” You said, wheeling over the machine that was going to bring your experiment to life. Mikey smiles proudly as you looked his way, quickly moving to your side as you waved your hand for him to come to you.

“You’re fucking crazy.” Mikey teased, smiling your way before putting his metal goggles —which you made to fit his glasses perscription because he complained about not being able to see every time— on for protection and stepping away from the now powered up machine. You only smile in response, putting your metal welding headgear on before pulling the last lever. The light from the electricity filled the room, you were sure any nosy civilian would be curious if they were outside right now. Turning off the machine you lift your headgear off before checking your experiment. Seeing his fingers twitch filled you with hope, a quiet groan filled your ears looking over, Mikey had a smug look on his face. You looked back towards the now living thing, His hazel eyes looking straight forward. “I feel like he needs a name, what are you thinking?” Michael asked, tilting his head before taking his goggles all the way off and setting them aside.

“Frank.” You replied simply, taking in the mans appearance.

He had a slight green discoloration, covered from head to toe in stitches and staples. you could see the stitches make indents and stretch his skin as well as with the staples, you were lucky he didnt have pain receptors or this would be a lot harder to pull off. A simple screw on the side of his head it was a decently sized one but not huge, maybe as big or slightly bigger than your hand. It was a screw that required a Phillips screw driver even though it was turnable by hand, his eyes had bags and his hair was greasy. His hair was nothing you had seen before, the sides were a light blonde and he seemed to have a mohawk but it was slicked down by the sheer amount of grease that had built up over the years and the front of his hair sat in the middle of his face. He was wearing an old suit you found in your closet, you dont know who it belonged to but you didn’t exactly care all that much. He looked to have had piercings from were you stapled his face, But it kinda fit him after all you could always fix it later. After a while you realized you would have to teach him how to do things again, he’s not what he once was. “Alright (Y/n), i have to go. Gerard is waiting for me to get back home and its getting dark.” Michael informed, hanging his lab coat on his designated hook by the door. “Be safe Michael, wouldnt want to lose my favorite lab partner.” You laughed, Michael rolled his eyes on the way out but not before shouting “im your only lab partner!” You could swear you could hear him mumble a quiet “Im your only friend at that.” Making you roll your eyes, you couldn’t be mad if he was right.

Now you were sat in your lab with your own creation staring back at you. ‘Lets see what you can still do.’ You thought to yourself before walking around to the still seated man. You lifted his arm to see if he could hold it up, He turned his head to face you and surprisingly he could, these are great signs. you sat in your spin chair and rolled your way to your clipboard that was on your desk. You needed to write stuff for your experiment down, right now you were the happiest you had been in years. You couldn’t suppress the slight smile on your face as you tested the staple covered man. After finishing your tests you wanted to move on to his speech, since you were the one who put him together you knew he was capable of doing so.

The only problem was you didnt know how, sure you knew how to talk but you didnt really know how to hold a conversation, if it wasn’t for Mikey you dont think you would talk at all if it wasn’t to yourself. Being the village scientist meant you were always in the lab, you hadn’t talked to anyone but Mikey or sometimes his older brother Gerard in years. You dont even remeber the last time you even left the lab, it was your house and Mikey did all of your errands. You supposed you could start with the basics, ‘hello’ or your name maybe even his. If you started with hello you’d have to explain what a greeting is, if you started with your or his name you might have to explain what a name even is and how to use it. You hadn’t noticed the man move from his spot, you were so busy staring off into space you didnt notice the prominent frown on your face as you stared at the wall. When you finally snapped out of it you panicked as you watched the man touch stuff on your lab table, almost spilling a tube of something before catching it and looking at you with guilt ridden face.

You quickly made your way to him, taking the tube out of his hand and putting it in its correct place. “Um, okay don’t- don’t touch anything on this table..got it?” You spoke, gently steering the man by his hand to sit at your desk chair. You pushed him into said chair maybe a bit rougher than you meant to, however he didnt seem to mind. “Okay.. your name is- can you talk?” You asked, you couldve maybe put in a little more effort but this was your first time doing anything like this. You only got a head tilt in response, it was like he could understand you but he couldn’t answer. You furrowed your eyebrows, Your reaction caused him to frown a little. “‘My name is Frank’ Can you say that?” You questioned, he could only get out ‘Frank’. It wasnt much but you could work with it after all you weren’t sure of what he was capable of, Sure he had human parts but he wasnt fully functional right now.

“Frank, frank is you.” You stated, pointing a finger towards him. “You?” He questioned, his index finger now pointing towards himself. You smiled before shaking your head, This caused Frank to smile as well however he looked sort of confused. You tried again pointing your finger towards him, “when i stick my finger out towards you it means ‘you’, when you stick your finger towards yourself it means ‘me’.” You stated, a look of realization crossed his face before he pointed to himself again. “Frank is me?” He asked, letting out a noise of what seemed to be happiness after you confirmed it. He was going to be trouble but you knew it was worth it, after all, you wanted this.

okay so i could go about this for HOURSSSS but kira and bianka's mentor/mentee relationship genuinely makes me want to eat bricks in the best possible way. oh so like okay kira probably held bianka as a baby and doesn't even know it until like. what. 5 years after their meeting in the dudu vn. and also during one of their first convos kira says that bianka "really knows how to encourage others, just like cecilia". and also the Bond between someone who comes from earth but after the second eruption was away from it for so long that she no longer really recognizes it, and someone who had all their memories wiped, any "inherent tie" she might've had to the world around her severed, and had to build her connection to it all by herself. and also the duty of a valkyrie vs the duty of an idol as expressed in the vn in this specific dialogue:

im gonna be entirely honest i cant think of anything.... though there Are a couple i would've liked to get more. Elaboration on. specifically:

1. human niggurath. i wonder if they were close. i mean like, yeah they WERE close because all of the snowwolves were close with each other but i wanna know more about these 2 specifically!! in 2e we get much more of a focus on niggurath's relationship with salome [which is delicious do not get me wrong] but i wonder what it was like between her and kira, with brown sugar's later bodyhopping i mean. speaking of which i wonder how naturally similar to niggurath brown sugar is.... cause like, we know that she continued using her previous host's name and form because thats how kira referred to her but i wonder how much of it is genuine and how much of it is "wearing a red shirt at walmart" type of situation. because in my mind it could be either that a) shub and brown sugar are really just that alike by themselves, b) brown sugar kind of melded shub's personality with her own when she lived in her body, or c) she only developed that after being with kira. which. i believe the latter is the closest to canon since in dudu vn kira mentions brown sugar not being entirely Sentient (yet?). which. has implications. yes im psychoanalyzing her comic relief alien best friend dont even worry about it

2. siegfried but SPECIFICALLY post-sshc arc. because yeah yeah we know that before 2e she fucking DESPISED him [which btw i find hysterically funny. never stop being a hater] and while ik that she has Not improved her opinion after that it still must be. strange. like oh okay theyre one of the only people who remember cecilia for who she was. and the snowwolves for who they were. and they were both away from their home universe for most of the time between 2e and sshc. like that must fuck you up. but at the same time its also "i miss my wife" "i miss your wife too"

3. THE WOMAN THE LEGENDARY LADY CECILIA SCHARIAC HERSELF. jesus christ every time i think about kira and cecilias relationship i want to jump into the ocean never to be seen again. kira loved her sooooo so much but also she loved her before cecilia met siegfried. it had to be jarring to see her become suddenly so. happy. but she loved her in a very idealized way, i think? to me at least its very obvious it couldnt Ever have been mutual simply because kira never quite managed to get as close to cecilia as such a relationship would require... in the end, she was just. her fan. cecilia was her friend, yes, but she was also that shining star in the distance that marked kira's way, that drove her to become a valkyrie and an idol... which is another topic in on itself because. kira is prickly! kira isnt the type of person who finds it easy to be that perfect idol, thats all a conscious effort!! but i digress. kira loved cecilia in the way that she adored her, but then suddenly cecilia was gone and the snowwolves were gone and kira had to find her own way in the dark. which is also why i think it could be such a fun thing to explore her dynamic with miste[I AM SUDDENLY AND REPEATEDLY SHOT. MY CORPSE IS DRAGGED AWAY AND THROWN OFF A BRIDGE.]

OH UHM I DONT KNOW ACTUALLY. i find it that pretty often with hi3rd chars specifically, i have a lot of trouble finding characters that really "remind" me of them from other media simply because each and every one has a string of such strangely specific mental problems that even if at first glance two characters appear similar, i think about it for 3 seconds more and decide "never mind actually" so. im sorry but i actually cant think of anything 😭😭

IsagiRin as a ship just doesn't work for me. Odk why just. Sorry I can NOT see your vision bestie. Half of the Blue Lock ships don't work for me especially when centered around Isagi because that boy switches side characters like they're pairs of shoes. In Blue Lock one or two sus or even sweet moments doesn't really amount to much to me because everyone has them here. That doesn't automatically mean date on a riverside resturant. On the other hand I totally could see Bachira x Isagi but I just think of them as really close friends because that's what gives me the most comfort being as some of the people who really saved my life were friends. As a nodal, I want to agree and disagree about "draining" yang people. They do come to us first usually, they see that we don't show interest even when we like them (at least ketu ruled moons) and they simply stop giving a fuck. I think its possible that in some cases we drain them, but I also feel like they are expecting us to show a lot of interest and as someone else said, nodals are used to be gatekeepers (moon people too) of stuff, including feelings. We dont have light to give anyway. I find that we can drain solars as much as they can overwhelm nodals. I always hear nodals complaining about solar people overwhelming them with their energy. So at one point i feel like it's mutual, they may feel like nodals drain them but we feel like they are too much? Idk if that makes sense to other nodals reading this. I know a few solars who I really love and all but I try to stay away because I know if I get into a convo with them they will either start asking a bunch of questions or they will start talking about themselves to the point I will be exhausted. Especially uttara ashadhas, I find all of them to be too intense for me, although i had and still have great friendships with them. when Krittikas are angry for example, I just stand there and dont have any idea of what to do. I find it so hard to give a fuck about things so I dont understand why they're angry and they end up making me tired when they keep talking about the same frustrations over and over.

my first playthrough i got the white arabian and i named her Lemoyne Tree as a tribute to the state of Lemoyne and my favorite post malone song Lemon Tree. But she always got super dirty so i then went to the lake next to Strawberry and tamed the red chestnut arabian. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that one, she's gorgeous and arthur always gets that one when i play it. my beautiful baby girl Diablo <3

Charles deserves the absolute world. just listening to him speak and hanging out with him at camp, and the missions you continue on to do with him throughout the game are so much fun. charles is someone i wish i could have in my real life because he seems like he would be the best person to speak to and hang out with. he is so lovely and down to earth. even arthur says it a couple times throughout the game. charles gets a good ending i promise.

Like Ik i posted my initial reaction and such to a glitch in time

But

I haven't actually sat down and given my full thoughts on it

So yeah

First off without going into Spoilers..

In my head I had alot of..not necessarily expectations but theories on what it would be like..and while I love Danny Phantom I've always been Iffy on the story continuing after Phantom Planet so I'll admit i was optimistic bur skeptical.

This wasn't at all how I expected it to come back and thats the thing i think i love the most about it.

If someone told me that Gabriella Epstein was in charge of working on the 1st 2 seasons of the original cartoon I would've completely believed them because her writing felt EXACTLY like how the show was back then. Even with modern slang added in at no point did the dialog feel cringe or anything like that it just flowed naturally.

Which i appreciate.

What I really love about it tho is the fact that it allowed ghosts to BE ghosts, not Monsters from another dimension or whatever they're actual manifestations of human emotion and spirits which makes Danny's decision at the end feel even more powerful because he really is connected to both worlds even more than he initially realized.

I love that they gave the ghost zone lore made it feel like an actual ethereal place.

NOW onto the spoiler parts

The character arcs specifically Danny,Dan,Vlad and Valerie.

It's very easy to have a character like Vlad in particular be like "The Disasteroid event made me realize how much of a fool I've been" and just end his arc there. But they didn't go that route throughout the comic we actually see that Vlad is still an asshole despite regretting some of his actions he's still NOT a good guy but we gradually see that through spending time with Danny and seeing how his anger and rage fueled Dan,that he really has been a fool he really isn't a bad guy he was just hurt, alone and damaged he lost control.Vlads whole thing is that because he feels he lost everything he tries to rule as a way to feel in control..not a very healthy method but what can u do.

Dan despite being a grown man physically is just a scared kid. Here we have a version of Danny who lost everything and corrupted by Vlad's ghost half decided that through Domination and control he wouldn't lose anything anymore now this Danny meets his younger self who is not only desperately trying to prevent himself from ever becominf like him but he succeeds! Now This younger Danny has pretty much the perfect life a family who accepts him,friends who love him and is accepted fully by the world while Dan lost his timeline and now doesn't belong anywhere. He lost everything and now taking from others is the only way he can feel in control sounds Very similar to another half/ghost we know.He and Vlad are truly Kindred Spirits and they are the only people who can truly help each other.

Danny going from hunting ghosts to accepting that ghosts are just as much people as humans are and that maybe he shouldn't only defend one side of the spectrum that humans are just as evil as ghosts and ghosts can be just a human as humans and him deciding to be the bridge between both in what i like to call (Avatar Wan Moment) perfectly ties his character together. And it's even reflected in his relationship with Dan and Vlad throughout the book, even after all that Danny still doesn't trust Vlad he doesn't even like Vlad BUT he acknowledges that not only could he not do it without Vlad but Vlad is actively trying to change possibly for the better and him acknowledging that Dan is just a scared kid at his very core just like he once was is *chefs kiss.

Valerie might come as a shock because alot of people felt that she wasn't that much utilized in this story but i feel like that's for a reason. Since Phantom Planet first happened I've always wondered what Valerie's feelings on Danny being phantom was and we kinda got a glimpse into that here ..we see that when she thought Dan was Danny she fulling believed that he had turned on them..like despite her previous relationship with Danny she still views him as a possible threat and that by itself looks like something she'll for sure have to deal with in the future.

Aside from that

The art was beautiful like i cannot keep talking about how pretty it looked. Like my only gripe with it is that the character designs/outfits weren't updated but i can live with that

The story was very well written and felt straight out of Season 2

And even excluding all of the other things i mentioned, it was just a fun read..like at no point did i feel bored or drained while reading it

11/10 for sure
