What are your thoughts about seeing posted fanfiction that isn't commissioned, where the creator says that they have never read/watched the source material? For example, someone putting out a fanfic for a show they've never watched that includes the tag Author Has Never Seen Suchandsuch.

i am trying to watch Iskall's video addressing everything and i cannot continue 1:29 in. i want to believe Iskall, i really do. as a survivor of assault and grooming, i cannot.

if this were truly a case of defamation, he would not have titled the video "i've been cancelled". he would not begin his video by talking about how "unfairly" the hermits treated him once they learned of the allegations. he would not then spend however he long he spends- i genuinely can't sit through it- talking about how his life is in shambles and there are days where he doesn't know if he can go on.

i can't assume how the police work where Iskall lives, it's likely things operate differently. in the states, however, you're not allowed to publicly discuss ongoing cases as they can interfere with their investigation. witness tampering, falsification of information, etc etc are all risks if any party- especially a content creator- makes the case public.

maybe it's because i just woke up and that was the first thing i saw, but i am so angry that i am crying. i won't fully assume if Iskall is guilty or innocent until we get all the evidence, but with what we have so far, jesus fuckin christ do i know who my heart is with. i'm sorry to the victims and to the other hermits.

If someone were to recognise you out in public, what is your preferred way of them interacting with you? Do you like it when fans say hi or would you rather be left completely alone? I would never want to make anyone uncomfortable but I think some people would love to tell you how much they appreciate your work in person! :)

I mean, it depends entirely on context tbh - if I look like I'm in a rush somewhere or doing something that requires attention, probably leave me be. If not, I'm usually happy to say hi. Honestly, like most humans, I rather like it when strangers say nice things to me but also find it a little bit awkward. Where the balance between those lies depends on the day, so its a roll of the dice whether I'll be slightly thrilled or slightly uncomfortable, but you're never going to actually upset me just by saying hello or that you like my work.

I can't quite remember if you did this with the suggestive posts that got taken down but, perhaps you should try not to tag those as canines, dogs, animals, sighthound etc? This can only be happening because people are purposefully reporting these things when they find them. You could try adding as little tags as possible. Personally I tag as cw suggestive and my art, as well as ship names, and that's it really. This makes it so that your own audience can find it in your blog, but really no one who isn't a follower of yours or knows about you can find it. Genuinely I hope this helps because I adore your art so much and it hurts to see such tame things get taken down. Otherwise I'd just post in another website, highly recommend Bsky

Ah dang, I think you might have a point there. My online circles are so pro-furry or at least benignly indifferent towards anthro art, I had kind of forgotten that some people consider it so deeply off-putting and offensive. Even very tepid, mildly suggestive pieces, even completely sfw art.

I've had the habit of tagging my posts systemically and carefully since the beginning, mostly for personal organization purposes, it makes it slightly easier to dig up specific things from the the extensive archive of my blog. It didn't even cross my mind that it could potentially lead to this sort of result. I'll use fewer tags from now on and see if it improves anything.
