Has anyone here watched it and is it worth the time commitment?
#i've actually watched it twice#once just to cross it off the list#and a second time to see if i was being too harsh the first time#i LOVE cinema and i can be a bit of a pretentious fuck about it so that *should* mean i like this movie#but every character is despicable except for the black side characters and while being despicable doesn't make the movie bad#it does make it frustrating#i love morally grey characters or even evil protagonists but the worst crime is to be annoying and these people were annoying#watch it once for the History and to say you've done it if you really want to#but four hours of these people is not worth your precious time on this earth#watch these actors in other. better things.#and revel in the fact that this movie DID ACTUALLY push forward black rights in hollywood slightly

I've broken a toe. One time in my life. And even that is only a maybe. So hearing Aabria say, "in my head, everyone's had their nose rebroken" made my soul leave my body for a second.
#watching adventuring party because i don't have time to watch any tlovm eps before i go get my hair done#i should elaborate: it was because of the instant fear lol#like i know i am pretty fortunate in never breaking any bones that matter#because let's be real a toe break is stupid#all you do is limp around and they can't do anything about it#and i had my mother in law who i don't actually know what she does but it's something at a hospital#tell me that my toe was PROBABLY broken and not to go to a doctor unless something which i can't remember because it's been years now#because unless it was like really serious they wouldn't be able to do anything#with the amount of times i've fallen down my stairs (still only twice in a year but that seems high)#i'm sure that i will not continue to be so fortunate#jeez i'm jinxing myself time to scoot down my stairs for a few weeks just to be safe

#it kinda doesnt feel real for me idk why#like i do not actually process all of it??#tho I DO have ideas and thinking i did pay attention#maybe i've just had a wild day i guess#but also oh god vex'ahlia broke my heart#twice#first time were when scanlan was talking how he couldn't be at two places at the same time to help 'em and she said nobody gives a fuck#i feel so bad for scanlan rn i love him#haven't watched campaing to the bard's lament yet but oh fuck im too spoiled i do know what happens where (a little bit)#the second time was when she said she really cares for percy i started crying at that moment#also im a lil bit disappointed cuz i thought we would get percys death and vex's spech but we got “i open the door completly naked” scene ->#and im very happy we got it like oh wow i didn't expect that#but idk im just a girl and i love percahlia's slowburn#since i watched 64 eps of actual campaign it become hard for me to not compare campaign and tlovm cuz obviosly its very different#but with percahlia in tlovm we don't have hours and hours of campaign context#(we don't have percy making her arrows)#and i understand why cuz 100+ streams 3+ hours each is one thing and animated series with 12 eps of 25 minutes is another#but as i said previosly it is very hard for me to not compare it#by the way i do think changes in tlovm make sense#cuz like?? i think vex is more sharpy in tlovm than in campaign?? like#like she punced scanlan in first season and in campaign they are kinda good friends and i really love them??#*punched#and i think she's more ?? bossy i guess?? idk how to put it into words but in my head it makes sense “i open the door completly naked” ->#goes earlier than “i shouldve told you its yours” cuz shes playing pretend even more than in campaign???#acts like its casual when its actually isnt AT ALL#and im glad percy said “what is it i want” to vex cuz its kinda like that scene in campaign when percy talked to vax#when he called them all family for the first time and said he's trying to find what he wants in life#i love percy and vax dynamic btw#i wanted to write even more here but apparently i can do only 30 tags wtf#they want me to actually write posts oh no. hate to put it all in tags but im too nervous abt posting on the internet

Potentially an unpopular opinion when it comes to J&H (though really, I don't know if enough people even care about Jekyll & Hyde the musical these days for anything to constitute either a popular or an unpopular opinion):
I don't care if you're really doing all of Confrontation in one go – I mean, it's super cool and I prefer it if you do, but maybe there's a good reason you can't – but I do care about the illusion. Deeply. I want it to sound and look exactly like it's all happening live right in front of me. I want to be fooled.
If you can't do that, just don't even bother with it.
#this is what ruins Anthony Warlow's Confrontation for me actually. Jekyll's and Hyde's voices are edited to overlap and I hate it#not to say I don't still listen to it all the time of course – just that it's only 99% perfect for me because of that#also not to get started about all the various styles of awkward Confrontation choreography. but.#across all live productions and bootlegs I've watched I've seen it done in a way I enjoy twice. so it's possible. just extremely rare#I didn't like all of the choreography in the first Finnish J&H#but the way the choreographer had J and H physically fight each other though it's the same guy??#exquisite#Jekyll and Hyde

do you ever feel casually suicidal? like you're not depressed or anything you're doing fine but also it feels like a convenient option
#if you can't make connections with people or be seen by anyone then like. at least you can feel like you're helping a better cause#to like charities and gfms and anyone else#but you have to tone that down bc you're slowly losing money bc you still can't get a job#and bc you don't have a job it means you're just stuck in the house all day. which gives Way Too Much opportunity to Think about everything#and also so like. i still share a room with my sister but it was fine bc she'd stay at her bf's a few nights a week#but he's got a job that's a bit further away and basically she can't go round his as much. so now it's maybe like once a week#the room is getting messier so it gives me less energy to do anything#you can get really into an unhealthy weight loss obsession bc at least it feels like you're getting towards something#but idek is set weight theory real? bc once i get down to a certain point it suddenly resets#like honestly counting calories and donating money to every gfm i saw and writing a film script was what kept me going#but first one isn't working and second i need some sort of income and third is finished and i have no way of actually creating it#and then there's the whole lack of stable hyperfixation and ability to find new music i enjoy#and realistically what would fix me is having a good job that i enjoy and somewhere to live on my own#but until i get a job that's currently impossible. and even then it probably won't feel like enough#my entire life is lived on my phone i need more physical objects but i don't have enough space#bc i share a room with my sister. it's like all my problems are connected#and i have enough optimism that i still think it'll get better in the next few weeks. maybe i'll be able to get a job and that'll#get everything going again#but at the same time i could easily just die#I've graduated from uni. I've seen the who live 3 times. I've crashed my car twice. I've watched 30 years of corrie. I've met various dogs#what else is there to do with my life honestly#(<- joking)#but yeah like. in summer 2021 i almost got suicidal (it was just letting the occasional thought linger in my mind etc)#but that was bc i was so depressed#but now it feels like i could just kill myself. but more just out of convenience#idek. i'm not gonna kill myself. bc i have a job interview on tuesday. and just in general i won't#but there is this casual feeling of like. well i might as well. i can't describe it#ramble#suicide tw#weight loss mention

the opening vocalizations in the Maasi Theme are almost (if not the) same vocalizations used in the instrumental bridge portion of Aararaari Raaro btw. in case you needed sh*t to hurt more than it already did
#film: jawan#jawan#shah rukh khan#srk#vijay sethupathi#nayanthara#sanya malhotra#priyamani#deepika padukone#bollywood#local gay watches Bollywood.txt#local gay watches Jawan (and spends the entire time filing the various SRK avatars into new DILF categories).txt#that and i think i've figured out the main leitmotifs in the soundtrack which uh. adds significantly more damage to what#has already been added bc see Azad's motifs are Aararaari Raaro and the Jawan title theme. we hear the AR motif twice before the#actual song is played (once when he's telling Narmada he wants her to know about how he grew up and once after the health#minister kidnapping when he's on the desk feet up hearing of all the equipment being delivered to the hospitals)#so that establishes a thread of sorts to his mother before we even see her#while the Jawan title theme has some elements of the Maasi Theme which then leads us to Vikram who also has two#motifs (Maasi and his rock theme that he listens to in his earbuds)#Kalee's theme is an inverted(?)/heavily influenced version of the Maasi Theme that Vikram has. it's his and then it isn't it feels wrong#somehow when you hear it—i think we might have had a brief Maasi Theme feature during the train arc with Azad just to#trick the audience into thinking it WAS Vikram but i'll have to rewind to make sure#also whenever the focus is on Azad's parents Faraatta plays in the background. whenever the focus is on his dynamic with Suji#and Narmada Chaleya plays in the background#the Girls' motif is obvious (Mis Chicas) and plays twice (once during the first half for their train introduction and once during#the second half for their somewhere on vacation introduction)#while Kalki and Eeram have their own eponymous themes. Eeram's might also have played after Aishwarya got arrested but again#don't quote me on that it'll need another rewatch#i know these tags are making zero sense but if you get it you get it you don't you don't that's all

Definitely Mohabbatein, as well as K3G, Jab Harry met Sejal, Happy New Year. Many classics that run on german TV ofc haha

Quite biased but I would say Kal Ho Na Ho. They literally manifested him, it's magical!
3) Is there a particular scene or character that lives rent free in your head?
Harry 😔 Peak thot. Bit of an asshole, but with a soft and funny side. Something that feels genuine, imo you dont see as often from him nowadays.
Also Vikram Rathore... Like WOW. I'm SO ready for more! Stop airbrushing him and start celebrating his gilf era 🕺
4) Got a favorite musical number?
Chammak Challo. A classic. I think he dances and looks so, so good. I'm obsessed! Another big fave is Main Yahaan Hoon. 🧎Other worthful mentions: Meri Mehbooba, Very Good Very Bad, Dance Pe Chance and so much more.
5) If you could ask SRK one question, what would it be?
No idea. Thinking of seeing my idols makes me rather nervous haha I would like to tell him how much I like Jab Harry Met Sejal and KANK and ask for more movies like that.

I've always like the Barbiere overture but after last night where i was able to be ON STAGE while a LIVE ORCHESTRA PLAYED IT it is now The Greatest Overture In The World
#this may be one of my best theater experiences ever just for that#i love my costume and i love my role and the whole show is fun#but the best was during our dress rehearsal last night when we were waiting backstage#i was able to sneak over to the very edge of the wings and watch them rehearse the overture (which is played before the actors enter)#it was an incomparable experience. magic.#i've seen live orchestras before but being on the same stage as them and watching them so close and seeing the conductor like ten feet away#was !!!#i can't even describe it#i may or may not have been in tears#i can't wait until final dress tonight where i can watch them again#idk if they'll let me for the actual show#i got to see them twice last night#i did not want the music to end#i could have sat there watching them play that music forever and been so happy#opera#opera tag#live theater#live music#excited for the show tonight but sad it will be over
