I hope that people don't forget about gaza once a ceasefire is reached. when the bombs stop falling, they will continue to need food, medicine, doctors, and supplies. the survivors will need aid urgently in the immediate aftermath. there are bodies to be counted, rubble to be cleared, fields to be tilled, buildings to be constructed. even as the people of gaza rebuild their lives, the trauma they've endured from this genocide will stay with them for generations. despite this, they will continue their fight for the liberation of all of palestine, as they always have been, and we must not forget them. the people of gaza will not be free until "israel" no longer exists, until all palestinians can live in their country free from subjugation, with equality and dignity. do not ever let the imperialists that funded and armed this genocide continue to spread lies about the palestinian people. do not ever let anyone forget that they tried to cover up and excuse this genocide at every turn. they will try to do it again. you must stand with the people of palestine forever.

i'm so hyperfixated on nostalgia that everything i ever do just comes back to that topic and i don't know why
#i felt a longing for the 70s when i was 13 and then at 14 i felt a longing to be 13 again and i haven't been the same since#but then i was fascinated by both those feelings and wanted to study them forever so i became obsessed with remembering everything#and then analysing all the memories and how they connect and recycle every few years#and like. the generational nostalgia cycles of popular culture show up in your life but in smaller periods of time#to the point that whatever i tried to write my dissertation about it just ended up always coming back to the topic of nostalgia#everything is about nostalgia#if i ever do an archiving related masters and have to do another dissertation it'll be about nostalgia again probably#last one was nostalgia in music and this will be about. idk. idk what you'd even write about in a dissertation for archiving#but i'd find a way to make it about nostalgia again#is there even a word for the study of nostalgia#or does it just come under like. some sort of psychology. idk#either way nostalgia runs Everything. sometimes for better or worse#ughhhhhh i'm so obsessed with the entire concept of it#i could write an essay right now if only i could write#ramble

Did anyone here actually take showers in gym during high school? Husband said he did but he's 65 y/o so it was a different time. But the movie we're watching all the girls were talking showers after gym class.
#nuanced bc#there were showers but we never used them#they were private ones like idk they weren't those ones you see that's just a room with a load of showers like. they had curtains#but yeah i never saw anyone use them but i guess maybe the proper sporty kids used them#the ones who would play an actual football game or something. but idk#people would get changed in them for pe but there were only like 8 i think so it was competitive who would get to the shower first#also one time i accidentally turned it on while i was getting changed so technically i have used them. so yeah. nuanced answer lol
