Solangelo Hades AU!!

Nico and Will were once promising mortals. One was a prince of a powerful kingdom, and one was an apprentice of the God of healing, Asclepius.

🌞 For Will:

- Talented healer under Asclepius. He's as skillful as his teacher, but he couldn't raise the dead (yet).

- He acted as medic in a lot of army camps. Well known to be throwing himself into the battle to retrieve injured soldiers.

- He died at the same time as Asclepius.

- His selfless act on the battlefield was enough proof for him to stay in Elysium.

💀 For Nico:

- He was the next in heir for his kingdom. Skilled in battle and good with the people.

- But when he's king, his mother and sister was assassinated one by one. Filled with rage and grief, Nico blindly hunted down the murderer, thus leading to his fallen kingdom.

- He died after successfully killed who he wanted.

🧑‍🦯 The unpolished plot I thought of:

- They met in Elysium, Will was the one who talked with Nico first. Will is way older than Nico.

- Love each other enough to have the iconic coin ring exchange.

- Nico is quite skilled with controlling and telling the other shades what to do, so Hades yoinked him, made him a staff to help the House function faster.

- Nico still have to stay and can only leave when Hades agree (5% rate of success).

- But Zagreus can help. How? I haven't figured that out yet 🤡

honestly it's kinda...mushy...how much time has actually passed in-universe, since all the dreams seem to run differently and we've been popping in and out all over the place. so I think chances are it hasn't been that long for him, and he's still getting the run-around from Lilia!

(just let Malleus destroy everything in order to trap you in an eternal dreamworld like a normal person, gosh)

If it's any help, I do think then pen brushes and style goes hand in hand a lot especially depending on the vibe you are going for,, Lately I've only been able to use the real g-pen

my usual 'cleaner' brush definitely looks better but I get so hooked up into the details/pressure settings that I can only use it IF I have the patience to not focus on that some days

There is a 3rd brush I also use, but I only use it for friend doodles for shitposts when I don't want any pressure/detail NOTHIN but scratchy style and tiny canvas

I'll start this by prefacing that this is what great character development looks like 👆

and sorry for the tangent/rant is this going to become because, truly, 19 Days has no religious plot or tones, doesn't offer commentary or criticism on it- hell!! it has nothing to do with it at all

yet my hurt heart can help but heal a little bit more every time a queer piece of media has moments like this

ngl, when I started reading the chapter I was nervous, but afterwards it became one of my faves of the series; it gives the same vibe as Charlie's final talk w/ Ben in the Heartstopper series

we, who grow up on extremist religious households, are often groomed to the idea of "always forgiving", always taking the "high ground" and "being the better person" - whatever it even is supposed to be like. and it takes a long time to shake off the guilt of simply not wanting to forgive someone that hurt

because, here's the thing, YOU DON'T!! nb needs to forgive everyone; forget and move forward? absolutely, yes. but if someone pushed you too far and you want nothing to do with them anymore, it's your right to it. you're not going to hell, nor is any other Deity you believe going to punish you for that

it's why scenes like this, specially to lgbt ppl, is so important and will always have a deep impact on me (and a lot of others, I'm sure)
