#joker out #it's SO GOOD. the lyrics are SO GOOD.#also they make me very sad #the contrast between the needs of the speaker and the needs of the partner #the hand-in-hand solace and hopelessness of the chorus #the way that even 'i've heard that' in first line sets the situation up as being an uphill battle #actually to elaborate on the first point. the contrast between #the framing of the speaker as not only something now unnecessary to the partner (OUCH) but as something that could actively cause them pain #in the future #vs the framing of the partner as the speaker's sole solace (ha) and comfort that they are soon going to lose #but it's a necessary loss because otherwise they would just be dragging the partner down into hell and presumably the speaker cares greatly #for the partner. but it's still a loss of someone who acts an an anchor for the speaker #the way what's good for the speaker can't live alongside what's good for the partner because they're the antithesis of each other #the feeling of desperately trying to hold on to the last tatters of solace. I'm using that word a lot. before it gets torn away and you're #left with nothing #the hopeless repeating of the chorus in contrast to the verses #'i've heard this and this and this and i know this and this but all that i know is you are my anchor and comfort and when I'm with you #i'm safe'#hell even the way 'i know' vs 'I've heard' is used throughout the song #“i've heard everything comes to an end and I've heard you don't need me anymore. but all i know is that i need you”#“but i also know you've been through hell before and you don't want to return. and staying with me will put you there”#“but i know still that your presence keeps me from being there”#i am going to EAT DRYWALL #i'm making interpretations now so it's probably time to wrap this tag-fest up #i'm sure it was very redundant. i may end up getting emotional and adding to it another time but in summary #kris guštin i'm going after you with a hunting knife #and maybe bojan cvjetićanin too?? idk if he's credited as co-writing the music or the chorus #only tagging kris though because he's the one i'm sure wrote at least a portion of both #og #kris guštin

unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!

tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.

bonus rules:

you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny

take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)

apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender

#also no he doesn't want to experience life as a normal person. no he wouldn't sacrifice his powers to live again.#he LOVED being powerful. he was very proud of his powers. he was at the top of the world. what he disliked was being so lonely at the top.#which having reunited with Geto now he is not.#and he wanted to keep the next generation safe due to his past regrets and teach a generation of kids to be at the top together.#and he wanted to get rid of the corrupt higher-ups and reform the Jujutsu society.#and he did all of that. Yuta and Yuuji are both alive and safe and the kids are all reunited with each other stronger than ever #and the higher-ups are d**d.#Gojo obviously wouldn't hate to keep living. he clearly didn't expect to lose and die. but as he himself confirmed #he died doing what he loved. he went out the way he wanted. he went out with a bang. he had the best fight of his life and gave it his all.#as he said 'he had fun'. he said it would have been embarrassing if he died of old age or sickness.#and now that he's gone he's happy with his friends and especially Geto. he found peace.#He said it himself 'Now i'm wishing that it's not just a dream'.#also for those of you who say that Geto & Gojo wouldn't be together because one would go to hell and one to heaven... no. just no.#first of all. Bruce definitely trained all the Robins to abandon him if things got bad. He'd give them scenarios like him trapped under something in a fire, hypothermic conditions, he's too injured, and they need to get information to Lucius, and the list goes on. And to date, the only bit of training his kids have continually failed, whether in simulation or practice, is failing to leave him behind.

#Not counting Red Hood Jason for the most part. something that drives me insane on a relatively regular basis as a body jewelry understander is talking to people who have sensitive skin who are like "oh well I just can't wear any earrings without my ears getting inflamed" and I say "well what have you tried" and they say "well I've tried sterling silver and I've tried gold..." and it's like. ok. I don't know how gold and sterling somehow got spun by the jewelry industry as being especially good for sensitive skin but whenever I'm like "well have you tried implant grade titanium" they're always like "no....... but I've tried sterling silver... and it didn't work ..." like. I don't know how this narrative about sterling silver somehow got so strong but when they put pins in your fucking legs when you snap your leg in half are those pins made of sterling silver or are they made of implant grade titanium or surgical steel????????? HELLO. HI. YOU MIGHT BENEFIT FROM TRYING IMPLANT GRADE TITANIUM I AM JUST SAYING

I'm mad at whoever lied to you about various metals.#look I completely understand if your body happens to think that your piercing is an open wound for two decades #I have been there.#and I promise you the answer. is implant grade titanium.#there are many solutions to this problem one of them is implant grade titanium the other is surgical steel sometimes.#the other is sometimes if you can stretch the piercing to like... 10g #you can put a surgical grade silicone sleeve in there and then you can use cheaper metals for earrings #because they will not be touching your flesh they will be touching the silicone sleeve.#anyway the point is #someone should pay me to be some sort of piercing advisor.#there has been a lot of progress made in the area of body safe metals in the last 50 years is the thing #and we are fortunate enough to live now and not 50 years ago.#the mainstream jewelry industry has not exactly caught up with this.

I love tornado survival guides. "Shelter in a basement or interior room without any windows. But if you're in a mobile home, just fucking die I guess lol"

#did you know over half of deaths caused by tornados are residents of mobile homes?#which also means that they're primarily poor and elderly and disabled people #most places have absolutely no requirements for trailer parks to have safe shelter for residents during a tornado #personal tornado shelters cost $5000+ and many of them can't be installed in trailer parks because of neighborhood rules #and many parks are so isolated that going to find shelter somewhere else isn't safe or possible #it's safer to shelter inside a ditch outside than to stay in a mobile home during a tornado #and yet there's next to no effort to change laws to make trailer parks safer especially in emergencies #or even make other housing more accessible and available so people don't have to live in homes made of tissue paper #there's no tornado happening i'm just stressed

Thinking about DP x DC Jason Todd being a revenant again. Here's my scenario. Jason gets called that by some ghost. He's like "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" He's heard the term before but he doesn't know any actual lore. He googles it. He scrolls past the Leonardo DiCaprio bear movie. He opens the wiki. Sees the words "animated corpse" and gets a chill diwn his spine. He starts reading the first section.

He closes Wikipedia.

That night he has a nightmare that his family buried him, again, this time with precautions. He wakes up in his own grave, full of stones, too heavy to move, to scream.

#CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS #like reading this section in the context of jason is SO HORRIFYING #the idea of someone knowing it was possible for him to come back. to wake up down there. and wanting to keep him there #stay dead. we want you dead. you're too troublesome alive. you're meant to be down there.#so anyways. jason internalizing all this shit and feeling uncomfortable in his own body because he's thinking of it as a corpse #and of himself as haunting a place he doesn't belong #and then meeting danny and danny says 'wow you're a revenant aren't you! The dead so restless they can't bear to stay in their graves'#and he smiles. 'You're amazing.
