Jason, cracking open one eye: "Aww, are you concerned about me?"

Damian, furious: "I didn't. You've lost more brain cells than you could afford."

Jason: "Wait 'till Tim hears, I think he'll want a group hug. Bruce is probably going to get emotionally constipated. Dickie would probably cry--"

Damian, panicking as he hears the Batmobile get closer: "Stop. Do not tell him--"

"Good" Acting

i have a theory that a lot of people say acting is "good" when they're emotionally moved by it, and a lot of cishet white people have a lifelong habit of not listening or empathising when minoritised people speak, so minority actors get called "bad" even when they display some pretty fucking amazing technical skill

#also a lot of female actors don't get recognised despite being fucking GOOD #that's not to say minority actors can't always be bad #of course we can #I'm just saying #sometimes #for SOME shows in particular #ahem ahem #some actors might get very heavily criticised for reasons that have very little to do with their actual technical skill #and more to do with the politics of those criticising them #also I'm not talking about me here #before anyone says that #I'm talking about some actors I know who have recently been criticised in my opinion quite unfairly #despite doing something very difficult #like oooohhh i dunno #playing two roles in the same show?#and doing it very well #displaying some amazing technical mastery of body and voice technique #but hey what do I know #oh wait I went to drama school and I'm a professional actor lol I DO know #I'm just a woman so I have to couch my expertise in cutesy self-deprecation lest people think I'm a bitch

I don't think that making or using AI art/image generation is morally wrong, as you guys know, but I have to admit that slotting a wibbly-lined low effort image selected from the first result set from Midjourney in your content is incredibly tacky. At least select something that looks good. Maybe something without the boring AI "sheen" look either.

You see this a lot in clickbaity content like web spam and youtube shorts attempting to algorithm game.

ok now that the dance in fire birthday celebration is outta the way i guess this is a good time to (officially) announce that i'm working on another sonic zine! it's focused on a handful of the robotic characters from the series, especially metal sonic.

it's gonna have more comics in it, so it's taking me a while. not sure when it's gonna be done - hopefully october, but no promises.

That's Right #lackadaisy #WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic #like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. And Yet.#the inspiration....i wasn't able to be Regularly Only for at least another year / art done Nonprofessionally Online was novel to me #like wow ppl can make & post fanart of w/e they love huh....didn't know webcomics were a thing & i never really read that many since but.#good god the quality of Lackadaisy at its onset is like this is superb?? this person putting in all their talent and effort???#and Then you get years & years more art and i don't even know what superlatives to throw out abt its quality as it evolves. obsessed w/it..#if i see a new lackadaisy comic page i Will be acting out. obviously this animation is a delight & also stunning. and fascinating to also #juxtapose as a Translation / Interpretation of the comic in a different medium & standalone snippet of Story #and that we're not even quite there in the comic timeline; Taking Notes abt character info we get distilledly here....genuinely love like #take it back to '07 i'm like oh boy can't wait for the dream team to assemble. then a decade later when it did? I was trying to eat noodles neatly and for some reason I got sad midway. So I drew them messy eating a biscuit and a strawberry to combat sad noodle blues.

#Ugh I could've made it messier though.#I tried looking at how the strawberry juice look as it's getting bitten. But looking at a closeup of a mouth eating is kinda uncomfortable #I would need to be paid to look at that again. I dropped it and just winged it. Lol #Hm.
