Rafe let out a contented sigh from the comfort of the hotel bed, his shirt lying around the room, exposing his muscled chest for me to see. This was our routine every time Rafe came down to Las Vegas for "work." He would come to the club to watch me dance, we'd make love in the hotel room, and then we'd lay there in silence as shame and guilt ate us alive.
He watched me with his intense blue eyes as he sat against the headboard, lazily smoking a cigarette, never breaking eye contact. This time, he was in no rush to leave—he had already booked the hotel room for a couple more days.
"When are you leaving?" I asked, a touch of sadness in my voice.
Rafe took another drag of his cigarette, blowing out a cloud of smoke as he smirked—amused that I even had the nerve to ask, as if I wanted him gone.
"I booked the room for two more days," he replied, his Southern accent laced with irritation.
"Oh," I said, shocked. Usually, when Rafe came to visit, he only stayed for a day before leaving. It was rare for him to stay longer.
Rafe's eyes roamed over my body, appreciating the way my silk robe hugged my curves, the soft flesh that was left bare exposed. His fingers twitched, his patience thinning, and he took another deep puff from the cigarette to calm himself.
"Um… I have to ask you something," I said hesitantly.
"What is it?" Rafe replied, but this time, his tone carried a hint of annoyance.
"Are you ever gonna leave Sofia?"
Rafe's irritation was instant. This was a conversation he refused to have. He flicked the ash off his cigarette and took a long, deep drag before answering.
"This again? Damn it, I told you to stop bringing her up."
His voice was sharp, annoyed, yet somehow still calm. Rafe knew better than to raise his voice at me.
"I'm sorry—" I started, but he cut me off.
"Why do you always have to bring her up? You know I don’t wanna hear her name."
His tone grew harsher, his grip on the cigarette tightening. He avoided looking at me, staring up at the ceiling instead. He didn’t want to think about his wife and children—not while he was here with me.
"Well, you said you’d leave her for me, that we could have a family and—"
Rafe cut me off again, his irritation quickly turning into anger.
"Quit it. I never said anything about leaving her and starting a family with you. You're being delusional if you think that."
"You said it, Rafe. You told me—"
"No, I didn’t. You’re imagining things."
Rafe’s voice was low, his patience wearing thin. He stubbed out the cigarette with more force than necessary.
"I may have said that I love you. I may have whispered stupid, sentimental shit when we're in bed together, but I have never, ever said I’d leave my wife for you."
I sat there on the bed, looking stupid—helpless, even. I always felt bad for making Rafe upset like this. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back from his face, frustration evident in his movements. He was growing tired of this conversation, and it was quickly killing his mood.
"Why do you keep bringing it up? Why can't you just be happy with what we have? I thought you loved me too, but here you are, getting all emotional and clingy."
Rafe was right. Why couldn’t I just be happy with the time we had together? But the thought of sharing him with another woman ate me alive. He got to go home to a beautiful house, a loving wife, and children—while I was left here, searching for happiness in any man who showed me the slightest bit of attention.
"I do love you, I really do. I just want us to be happy—" I pleaded, trying to ease the tension in the room.
Rage flared up inside Rafe, his fists clenching as though he wanted to punch a wall.
"Stop it! Just stop it, damn it! I don’t want to be reminded of my family when I’m here with you! They are irrelevant and have nothing to do with this—nothing to do with us!"
"I’m sorry," I whispered, tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
Rafe ran a hand over his face, trying to calm himself. He took a deep breath and let out a frustrated sigh.
"You should be. You know how sick it makes me feel when you bring them up? I don’t want to remember them when I’m with you. I only want to think about you. Isn’t that enough?"
"Yes, Rafe. It is."
Rafe studied me closely, his gaze softening slightly. He hated when things got like this, hated the tension and hurt he saw in my eyes. With a sigh, he held out his hand, gesturing for me to come closer.
"Come here."
I eagerly crawled into Rafe’s lap and started to cry.
"You know I hate fighting with you, baby…" he whispered, his breath warm against my skin as his fingers traced lazy circles over my hip.
"I do too."
Rafe's grip tightened, his hand sliding up my body, his touch possessive. He brought his lips to my neck, placing soft kisses along my skin.
"Then promise me—promise me you’ll never bring up my wife and kids again. Just keep them out of your pretty little head when I’m here with you, yeah?"
"Okay… I promise," I murmured softly.
Rafe nipped at my neck, his teeth grazing my skin gently before sucking on the sensitive spot there, his hands roaming my body.
"Good girl…" he murmured against my skin, his voice thick with desire.
We made love that night.
This was the continuous cycle every time Rafe was with me. No matter how many times we argued, or when he left a handprint on my face, I always ran back to him—because the thought of being alone would forever haunt me.

Hey👀👀 could we get some first kiss rex hc that are just emotional as hell?? Not necessarily angsty hes just feeling feelings😞🙏
Rex Splode x Reader: First Kiss
ughhhh i'm not over rex
also what the HELL Rudy
gonna deadname him forever sorry guys, not a biggot just a hater </3
hcs under the cut!
Rex is a nervous bitch
he hasnt really had a first kiss he's cared that much about since he was fourteen with Eve
and even then he was fourteen so he didn't really know how big of a deal it was
BUT this is post-lobotomy Rex
and he really likes you
and he can't mess this up
he can't "Rex it up" as Amanda lovingly put it when he begged her for help
"Pleaaase Amanda- you're a woman- kinda- you know about this romance junk!" he pressed his palms into prayer and knelt at her, shuffling towards her comedically as she rolled her eyes
"First-!" she shoved a pointed finger into his face "Don't call romance 'junk', it's annoying."
Amanda sighed a long, heavy sigh, and pinched her temple
"And two, I'm calling in reinforcements."
two hours later Rex is in his room with Mark, Eve, William, Amanda, and Rudy all piled in
Rex isn't sure why William OR Rudy are there, but he figures more the merrier
"ooookay." William starts, leaning onto his propped up knee "You've been seeing this person for how long?"
Rex swallowed his spit nervously "uhm... we've been like talking and going on dates and shit for a few weeks- uhhh..." he starts counting on his fingers before Rudy cuts him off
"Rex and Y/n have been mutually exclusive for two months and three days."
Eve's jaw goes slack "Two months?! Rex what the hell?" her scolding is teasing yet bewildered, a playful hand gesturing from its place around Mark's shoulder "Just kiss them already, why are you being a wuss?"
Rex buries his head in his hands, overwhelmed by the overlapping conversation and criticism as the room erupts into dialogue
"I JUST-" he calls out, quieting the room
"I want to make it memorable. And... special."
His face is on fire
he's blushing so hard it hurts
Okay now they HAVE to help him figure this out
so three hours of brainstorming and meticulous planning-- some light lunch and snacking-- later, Rex has a game plan
Everyone shuffles out of his room as quietly as they can, except for Eve, who tells Mark she'll catch up in just a minute
The door closes them into the same space, alone
"Oh, uh... what's up, Eve?" Rex's shoulders tensed as he took in Eve's serious expression and folded arms
She broke out in a small smile "Do you really like this person, Rex? Like you're not going to cheat and be a dick?"
He nodded a small, but intentional nod. Intimidated as fuck by his ex-girlfriend.
She responded by rushing forward and pulling him into a bone crushing hug
"oOoooo I'm so excited for you" she pulled him closer, as he slowly wrapped his arms around her in return
"Ha- Thanks, Eve. I appreciate it."
Eve pulled back and stared into his eyes intensely "Don't freak out, just be yourself, okay? I'm so happy for you, Rex."
As they separated and Eve made her way out, Rex flopped back onto his bed
He'd just received the blessing of his only true friend, this couldn't possibly go wrong.
A few days later, and you're reading in your room
a slip of paper came under the door
"Hm?" you set your book down and went to retrieve it
It was a crude drawing of the two of you-- yourself and Rex-- in the mountains?
It was hard to tell
he was not a good artist.
Regardless, you opened the door to find another piece of paper
and another
and another
all littered with doodle of the two of you, tracing through the GotG HQ to the "back door" so to speak
"Rex?" You inquired cautiously, fearful it may be a trap
"Hey!"
you flung around and caught Rex's nose in a high kick, before realizing your mistake and covering your mouth in surprise
"Ah!! Rex!! fuck- I'm so sorry!"
Rex hit the snowy floor like a crumbled piece of paper, holding his bruised nose and trying to shake it off
"iiiii'm good! I'm fine! Wuh-uhh... fuuuuck." He steadied himself by leaning onto you a little, wrapping an arm around you
You assessed the situation, thankfully not having broken his nose
"Oh Rex, I'm so sorry... and after all your hard work with those drawings.... is there anything I can do to help?"
"You can kiss it better."
The silence was thick with romantic tension, and you stared at him wide eyed while he stared back in abject horror-- at himself, not you
"No-NO! FUck- this wasn't- Ugh! Stupid- Stupid0" he groaned, sitting in the snow and leaning against the GHQ
You looked down at him, confused
He just held his bruised face in his hands "That's not how it was supposed to go."
Carefully, you sat next to him in the thick, powdery snow.
"How what was supposed to go?" you placed a loving hand on his upper arm
Rex leaned into your touch, eventually leaning his head onto your shoulder "I wanted to say all this shit about how much you mean to me- and how much of a better person I want to be for you, and all this stuff..." he pulled out snow-soggied crumpled notecards, passing the ball of paper to you as you deciphered key phrases and bullet points
He sighed again, nuzzling into your shoulder "Iwanted our firstkiss tobe special, yknow?" he looked up at you with the saddest eyes, obviously welling with tears "You deserve that much."
Now it was your turn to blush so hard it hurt
or maybe it was the cold.
"R-Rex- I don't... I mean..."
the longer you trailed off the louder the thumping in Rex's chest got
eventually, though, you spit it out
With a warm affect "Rex, you're so perfect."
and you leaned down, kissing his lips gently
He reacted swiftly, bringing his hand to your cheek, warmth bringing solace and comfort to the bitter cold threatening to permeate your layers the longer the two of you sat in the snow.
The kiss lasted what felt like forever
but in reality it was maybe three minutes
You noticed Rex opening and closing his eyes, to check if you were still there
When you finally had to part lips, Rex sifted himself up to be level with you, allowing him to wrap an arm around your shoulder and pull your head to his chest
"I really like you, Y/n. And I want to be a good guy for you."
"You are a good guy, you're the best guy I could ask for."
"No. I'm not. But don't worry, babe." his humorous tone crept back into the serious situation, easing the tension a little
"I'm going to be."

here have some fic about it actually
-
Would It? [Buck/Eddie, T, ~1k]
He keeps thinking about it, is the problem. It's like now that Tommy put the thought in his head, it just keeps bouncing around inside his skull, like the old dvd logo that used to show up when you paused a movie for too long. It's not even about Tommy though, not really. If anything, their last encounter just solidified the fact that he doesn't actually know anything about Buck. That he never cared to.
But Maddie, on the other hand.
It wouldn't be so crazy.
So it's his sister's voice, really, that's been echoing inside his head for weeks now. When he wakes up in the morning. When he gets off of a call with Eddie and Chris. When he finds something of Eddie's still mixed in with his stuff at the house. When he looks across the station loft for Eddie and finds Ravi instead.
It wouldn't be so crazy.
It makes him feel... angry, honestly. Not at Maddie, he doesn't think. But angry all the same. Because it would be crazy! It would be crazy. It would be stupid and crazy and... pathetic. Which Buck is not.
He's just pissed off.
"Well, sorry I'm not Eddie!" Ravi says, throwing his arms up when Buck snaps at him for the third time that morning about not sticking to Buck's system as they stock.
Buck feels his now constant, low-simmering anger flare up all at once, bright and hot, but before he's even managed two steps towards him, Hen is there between them, her hand on Buck's chest.
"Okay Buck, walk it off," she tells him. It's not a suggestion.
So Buck takes the stairs up to the roof three at a time and then paces under the early morning sun, quietly seething.
And that's, of course, exactly when Eddie calls him.
"I didn't expect you to pick up," Eddie's voice comes over the line, warm and soft in Buck's ear. "I would've facetimed. I thought you were on shift."
"I am," Buck says, shorter than he might have in other circumstances. "But we haven't been out on any calls yet."
There's a beat before Eddie responds, and when he does his voice is tinged with concern.
"Okay, what's going on?" he asks. "You sound- Is everything okay?"
Buck blows out a breath.
"Yeah," he says, running a hand through his hair. "Ravi was just being annoying earlier, it's fine."
Eddie snorts a little.
"Yeah, you sound fine," he says sarcastically.
"I have a system for a reason!" Buck explodes, hand coming out of his hair as he gestures frenetically, even though Eddie can't see him. "I've explained it like a hundred times by now. It's not that complicated."
"Well, it's a little complicated," Eddie disagrees with a small chuckle, his voice still warm. "Maybe give him a minute."
Buck deflates a little, stopping his pacing to lean back against the outer ledge of the rooftop. He lets out another heavy breath.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" he hears himself ask, after a beat. "O-or like. Pathetic?"
"What?" Eddie's voice comes back sharp. "Did Ravi say that?"
"No, no- I just. Maddie said something to me the other day, and I- sh-she didn't mean it like that but... I can't stop thinking about it," he admits softly.
Eddie hums over the line.
"What did Maddie say?"
"Just- it doesn't matter," Buck mutters. "She was just- Tommy said something and then she was sort of agreeing with him-"
"Wait, Tommy?" Eddie cuts in. "When did you talk to Tommy?"
Buck feels himself flush, suddenly embarrassed.
"A-a few weeks ago," he says. "We just ran into each other. At a bar. It wasn't like I planned it! But I was already a little drunk by then, and he was talking about how he'd been wanting to call me, so. I don't know. We ended up... hooking up."
"Why am I just now hearing about this?" Eddie asks. "Are you getting back together?"
"No!" Buck says quickly. "No, it was nothing like that. Or well- maybe it was starting to- um. He did bring it up, I guess, after. But then he said... the thing he said. And then I said some things too, and uh, yeah. I- I doubt I'm gonna hear from him again anytime soon."
"What did he say?" Eddie asks, the edge back in his voice.
Buck makes a motion to wave away the question with his hand, as if Eddie can actually see him.
"That's not important," he says again. "The point is, I told Maddie about it, w-what he said, and she asked if he was right! A-and then when I said of course not because that would be ridiculous, she said it wouldn't be so crazy."
"Buck," Eddie says, slightly exasperated, "you know I'm gonna need a little more context here."
There's just silence then, for a few long moments.
"It just sucks," Buck manages eventually. "You being gone."
"Yeah," Eddie agrees, voice slightly rougher. "It does."
Buck hears him clear his throat slightly.
"But that doesn't mean I can't still help," he says. "Come on, man. Tell me what's really going on."
Buck wonders if he knows how much it already helps, just hearing his voice.
It wouldn't be so crazy.
"Uh, I- I should go," Buck says, after a moment. "I left Ravi stocking by himself and I'm gonna have to fix everything he's done, so."
"Buck-" Eddie tries again, but Buck doesn't let him. Not this time.
"I'll call you later," he promises - lies, maybe - before hanging up.
He feels the ache in his chest - the one that's been there ever since he watched Eddie drive away - like it's suddenly pushing out against his ribcage. Something almost feral, gnawing at his bones, trying to escape.
But he can't. He can't.
"It would be. Crazy," he says aloud, stubbornly, to an audience of absolutely no one. Feels the shape of the words in his mouth. Listens to the way they sound in the early morning stillness of LA.
It's not particularly convincing.
no but seriously maddie's "it wouldn't be so crazy" is !!!!! like that's his sistermom. that's the person who knows him the best outside of eddie. and she is always so careful not to tell buck how he's feeling so she's not gonna literally say "actually i've always wondered.." but this was her basically saying exactly that!! like. that just happened. buck said he's not in love with eddie and maddie said well.. are we sure though?

Tumblr media
You were in multiple relationships and they all ended up the same way. With you being cheated on or just both of you just deciding that it wont work out. After every breakup you would go to your bestfriend, Jaeyi, who always comforted you and made you forget about it easily.
She never had anyone even tho the whole school is head over heels for her. She would always say how she already has someone she likes. At first you would always annoy her to tell you who it is, but over time you kinda got it yourself. It was you.
You thought it would eventually stop and that it was just a stupid crush she had on you. Not until you started to feel the mutual feelings about her too. When things would get too risky like you two sitting alone too close to each other, you would always lie that theres a new guy that you like. Everytime her mood would shift, her smile dropping. One time it was a bit more than that...
You were in your room, watching movies and having fun. There was a romantic scene going on in one and she took glances at you. You turned your head towards her and you were inches away from each other.
Her hand was moving slowly on top of yours as she leaned closer. The worst of all you didn't back away. You even put your hand on her shoulder pulling her closer. Until you realized that this could ruin your friendship forever, and you would lose your best friend.
"I'm sorry I really can't do this..." You remove her hand away and stand up from your bed.
"You know I like that guy and-" You try to make up something, but she cuts you off.
"I'm gonna go..." She picks her bag and leaves before you could stop her. You heard in her shaky voice that she was about to cry. You felt so stupid for doing this to her. She was the best choice for you and you knew it.
Come on she rejected half the school and the most popular boys were being pathetic asking her out, but she refused to even look at them. Her eyes were always on you.
-
Now you were with this one guy. I mean he was popular, handsome and not that nice, but not rude. You got a bit of popularity while being with him so that was a plus too. Even tho you deep down knew you would be much more popular and happy if you were with Jaeyi. You just avoided the thoughts.
You were sure you found the perfect guy, until you caught him cheating right in front of you. You were actually a bit broken cause that was your longest relationship. You broke up with him after he tried to tell you how it 'isn't what it looks like'. You heard that sentence so many times you could literally predict when he would say it.
You were still friends with Jaeyi after that night that happened months ago from now. She apologized and it broke you even more.
You were in your room, crying and you felt horrible about doing that, but you still called Jaeyi. It was actually pretty late, around midnight, but she still picked up in an istant.
"Y/N? Is everything alright? Did something happen?" Her voice was raspy and tired making you smile to yourself that she cares about you that much to answer even this late.
"Hey Jaeyi...I'm sorry that im calling this late...It's just that he cheated on me and I broke up with him and I don't know what to do..." You sobbed between words wiping your tears with the back of your hand.
"Oh its okay sshhh...Do you want me to come over?" She said her voice calm and non-judgemental. You quickly replied with a quiet 'yes', feeling like a jerk for doing this to her.
"I'll be there in five minutes...Okay?" Her voice made you calm down a little, knowing that she'll be there soon. You ended the call and unlocked the front door. She opened the door coming in quietly so your parents don't wake up.
"Hey..." She peeked through the door of your room making you sit up a bit. When you saw her you started crying again.
"Y/N...It's okay now...I'm here..." She pulls you into a hug, wrapping her arms around you, holding you close. You put your head against her sweatshirt, soaking it with tears. She caressed your back while whispering sweet things to you until your crying stopped.
"How about we lie down hm?" She whispered and you just nodded. She lied down with your head resting on her chest.
"I'm sorry Jaeyi...I'm sorry..." You couldn't explain anything, but she knew what you were apologizing for.
"It's okay Y/N...I forgive you..." She ran her hand through your hair, making you feel sleepy.
"I love you..." You mumbled against her, your hand resting on her shoulder.
"I love you too Y/N...I love you so much..." Her words made you tear up again, but you didn't want to worry her again, so you just kept quiet until you both fell asleep.
-
You woke up to your mom calling you to eat. You groaned before looking at the time. It was 1PM already. You never slept that long. You also noticed that Jaeyi was gone. You ran out of your room, finding your parents at the table, both confused by your action.
"Where is Jaeyi?" They both smile at your face expression before your mom answered.
"She left awhile ago. She doesn't sleep till afternoon like someone here. She left you a note on your desk, you should check it out after having lunch." Your mom says placing food on your plate.
After eating, you hurried to your room to see the note she left you. It was on your desk and it said.
Come to todays school festival with me please. 6PM at the school gate. I'm looking forward to it and I have a suprise:)
Jaeyi
You smile at the note before turning around to find your mom standing there.
"You better not say that 'you are going out with some guy already' Y/N." She crossed her arms waiting for your answer.
"Don't worry, I'm going with Jaeyi this time. And stop reading my stuff!" You yell as you run to the bathroom to get ready.
-
You arrive at the school gate, about to text her, but you felt someone already tap your shoulder. When you turn around, you see Jaeyi in a beautiful pink cardigan that matched the pink tulips in her hand.
"This is my suprise!" She gives you the flowers making you smile and jump into her hug as she wraps her arms around you. She smelled just as gorgeous as she looked.
"Come on lets go!" You take her hand in yours before stepping into the festival.
That day was maybe the best one in your life. You ate popcorn, cotton candy and had cold drinks laughing and teasing each other all day. You went to the ballpit spending hours there like little kids.
-
You were now sitting at the bench that had a really nice view. You both looked at the stars as her hand slowly touched yours. It was obvious, she was nervous not wanting to make you uncomfortable. Not this time. You took her hand intertwining your fingers together and placing them in your lap.
She turned around to find you already looking at her. She was so cute and adorable. You were thinking to yourself 'How did I manage to reject this person so many times when she was the only one making me this happy?' She nervously smiled looking at you. You didn't want her to think that you'll do the same again.
You slowly leaned in, closing the distance between you. You felt her stiffen a bit, but she quickly relaxed kissing you back. You placed your arms around her neck, pulling her closer. One of her hands went down on your waist while the other caressed your face. You both broke the kiss to catch your breaths. You realized that no one kissed you like that before. It was so full of pure love.
"D-do you like the flowers...?" She broke the silence, her voice nervous and shy. You smiled nodding, making her smile too. You sat there looking at the stars and you kissed her a few more times making her smile into each one.
-
"Sooo...How did you like today?" You were walking back from the festival, holding hands.
"It was amazing. Thank you Jaeyi...You really made my day..." That made her chuckle squeezing your hand a little.
"Always." She looked at the beautiful sky above you. You wanted to just tell her that directly, your feelings for her. You stopped walking making her turn around confused and a bit worried.
"Is everything okay?" She asked and you give her a small nod before taking a deep breath. She needed to hear this.
"Jaeyi...I've liked you all this time. I just-I just didn't want to ruin our friendship or whatever...I was stupid and-" You were cut off by her lips against yours. The kiss turned into a bit more as her hands sneaked under your shirt resting on your lower back.
"You don't know how long i've waited for you to say that. You made me wait for so long..." She took your hand placing it on her cheek and you blushed at how she nuzzled her head into your hand.
"I'm sorry Jaeyi, but now I'll make it up to you for all those years rejecting you. I promise." You told her as she pulled you closer.
"Y/N...Will you be my girlfriend?" You smile instantly nodding and kissing her again.
"I knew from the start that I was always your true love..." She says against your lips before leaning in for more, but you stop her.
"Oh wow stop that!" You hit her arm playfully and she laughs.
She walks you to your house. You kiss and giggle a bit more in front before you eventually go home. Unfortunately your mom saw that and teased you for the whole month saying how she knew from the start. You never lost your bestfriend, she just became the best girlfriend that you never want to lose.

'what a fool'
Author's note:
hello! i never thought i'd be writing again but here i am.
i would like to clarify, i'm used to writing angst so probably most of my stories are gonna be angst and underlining that this is just a story! also, i'm sorry if i'm not good at writing. this is my first time back after 7 years.
warnings: alcohol consumption, angst, swearing, make out (stuff), and i don't want to make harry the bad guy here but it's just a story!
i'm sorry if there are some mistakes because English is not my first language.
btw, enjoy!
-----------------------------------
It was a sunny Tuesday afternoon. You were at the Sidemen Studios, where you had been working for almost a year. You still couldn’t believe that you were part of one of the biggest YouTube groups in the world as their camerawoman. You had your parents to thank for putting you through film school—and James, your best friend since college, for helping you land this job.
You and James were in the studio, chatting about the upcoming holiday trip with the entire staff and the boys. ‘Are you excited for the trip?’ James asked as he carefully packed his precious camera into his bag.
The two of you had just finished filming Sidecast with Simon, Harry, and Ethan. You weren’t scheduled to work today, but James messaged you, needing an extra hand since John couldn’t make it due to a family emergency. ‘I’m so excited! This is my first work holiday trip, and I still can’t believe it!’ you said, feeling giddy.
"I still can’t believe the boys have time for this trip. They’re so busy with their schedules, and I thought the trip was just for the staff,” James said. You glanced at the blonde boy sitting on the Sidecast set. He was talking with Simon and Ethan about something, but you couldn’t stop stealing glances at him.
"You’re drooling,” James said in a low voice, chuckling. You quickly turned away from your gaze and rolled your eyes at him. Nobody knew you had a crush on Harry—except James. No one was supposed to know that you had a crush on your own boss, but you had to admit, it was hard to ignore your feelings when your boss looked that good.
"And you’re annoying,” you huffed. You had to stop this feeling before it got any deeper. You knew your place—you were a nobody to Harry. Even though he knew you and the two of you always had playful banter, there was no way he would ever reciprocate your feelings.
James smiled before letting out a loud giggle. The boys stopped their conversation, now looking at the two camera staff with curious expressions.
"what's so funny, mate?" Ethan asked.
Great. Now all three of them had noticed.
You mentally slap your forehead before turning to the three Sidemen.
“Nothing, nothing! Just having a conversation with Y/N,” James quickly answered, brushing off their curiosity.
Harry raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything.
“Have you guys packed yet?” Simon asked, snapping you out of your thoughts—though your eyes still lingered on Harry.
The set lights are still on, and you still can’t get over his features—his sparkly blue eyes, his toned build, even though he’s hidden beneath his blue Sidemen hoodie, and his pink lips.
I wonder if he’s ever washed that hoodie? you mused to yourself, noticing he’s been wearing it for days now.
"Yeah, yeah, we’ve packed, but Y/N here still has some things left to sort out,” James answered.
You quickly snapped out of your daydream at the mention of your name. “Uhhh, y-yeah. There are still a few things I need to pack, but I’ll be fine,” you replied.
Ethan and Simon shouted, “Nice!” before diving back into their conversation. Meanwhile, Harry lingered for a moment, glancing between you and James before eventually returning to the discussion.
"fucking hell" you muttered while James just quietly giggled.
--------------------------------
It was the morning of your trip, and you were waiting for James to pick you up from your apartment. You double-checked everything, making sure you had packed everything you needed for Greece. It was going to be a sunny holiday, so you made sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, moisturizer, and lip balm—you didn’t want to dry out while you were there.
After zipping up your suitcase one last time, you heard the doorbell ring. That’s gotta be James, you thought as you walked to the front door
James appeared in your line of sight—and… Harry?
You froze, completely taken aback. What is Harry doing at my apartment?
“Hey, sorry we’re a bit late,” James said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Someone texted me last minute, asking for a ride to the airport while I was already on my way here.” He glanced at the blonde-haired guy beside him.
"Wha—wha—wha—what do you mean?!” Harry sputtered, looking at James, clearly annoyed. “I told you last night I needed a ride! I can’t drive, and getting an Uber or taxi to the airport would’ve been a hassle!”
You giggled at the two of them bickering as you grabbed your suitcase and slung your camera bag over your shoulder.
“It’s fine,” you said, dragging your suitcase along. “It’s not like we’re gonna be late to the airport anyway. Plus, I was just double-checking to make sure I didn’t forget anything.” You quickly patted your pockets, confirming you had your passport.
James rolled his eyes, fully aware of your crush on Harry. Meanwhile, Harry flashed you a smile—the cutest one you’d ever seen, and you had to admit, it made your heart skip a beat.
“See? Y/N doesn’t mind! No need to fuss,” Harry said, grinning. “Do you need help with your suitcase?”
You nodded, thanking him. What a gentleman, you thought.
James rolled his eyes again but chose not to say anything. He couldn’t believe you had bought Harry’s excuse so easily. Honestly, why had Harry even asked him for a ride? He could’ve easily gotten a lift from Tobi or Simon—or, let’s be real, he could more than afford an Uber.
James liked Harry as a friend, but he didn’t want you getting your hopes up. He knew you too well, and the last thing he wanted was for you to think, even for a second, that maybe—just maybe—Harry liked you too.
The three of you walked to James’s car, loaded your suitcases into the trunk, and got in. You took the passenger seat in the front, while Harry settled in the back.
The ride to the airport was… interesting. That was the only way you could describe it. At one point, Harry asked a question so unexpected that it left both you and James in fits of laughter. “Are you guys dating?” he blurted out.
You and James exchanged a look, then turned to Harry, then back to each other—before bursting into uncontrollable laughter. "No, boss. We’ve just been friends for a long time,” you answered, using the nickname you always called the Sidemen.
Harry had told you before that he didn’t like it, but you kept using it anyway because you found it funny—and, deep down, you were pretty sure he secretly liked it too.
After an hour-long drive, the three of you finally arrived at Heathrow Airport, where the rest of the group was waiting at the meeting point. Josh had already been asking about you guys, wondering why you were late. Seeing the flood of messages in the group chat, you, James, and Harry broke into a run, weaving through the crowds.
When you finally reached the meeting point, you spotted the boys, the camera crew, and a whole bunch of other people. Your eyes landed on Kirsty, and you made your way toward her to say hi. Meanwhile, Harry joined the boys, and James went over to Kon.
"Kirsty!” you called out, rushing over to hug her.
You and Kirsty had grown close quickly—both of you being photographers and often the only women on set made it easy to bond.
“Y/N! I missed you!” she said, hugging you back.
The two of you immediately started chatting about how excited you were for the trip. But before you could get too deep into the conversation, Ethan’s voice cut through the noise, addressing an unexpected guest.
“Where were you, Bog? We’ve all been waiting for you. I thought you were gonna ask me to head to the airport with you,” the ginger-haired man said, looking at Harry, who was busy tying his shoelaces.
"No, I didn’t want to burden you. I know how far it is from your place to mine, so I asked James for a ride, and we picked up Y/N along the way,” Harry explained.
The boys exchanged confused looks—this was unusual for him.
“So, was your prediction correct?” Simon asked, a teasing edge to his voice.
You frowned. What prediction?
You tried to focus on what Kirsty was saying, but multitasking was proving difficult.
“Nah, they’re just mates,” Harry replied casually.
Ah. So that’s why he was asking about my relationship with James.
You tried not to seem like you were eavesdropping, but curiosity got the better of you. Glancing over at Harry, you caught the subtle smirk on his lips as he said it.
That was weird, you thought.
After everyone had gathered, you all walked to the check-in counter and then to the boarding gate, waiting for your flight to be called.
You and James decided to grab some food, and before long, the boarding announcement came. Everyone made their way to the plane, quickly found their seats, and soon, you were taking off—leaving behind gloomy London for sunny Greece.
On the plane, you thanked Josh for giving you a window seat. He had asked everyone on the crew about their seating preferences, and he made sure to accommodate them.
To ease your nerves about flying, you and James ordered some alcohol, hoping to relax a bit before landing.
"Wish we could do this every day,” you said, sipping your drink.
“We do this every day—just without the drinking at work,” James chuckled.
You giggled at his remark.
While James was scrolling through the in-flight entertainment, you noticed Harry making his way to the toilet. You gave him a small wave, and he returned it with a subtle nod. That tiny interaction was enough to send butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
Four hours later, the Sidemen and the production crew finally arrived in Greece. The sun, the ocean, and the beach were already calling your name, and you couldn’t contain your excitement—you were finally on a well-deserved break.
All of you had arrived at the villa, and you couldn’t stop admiring the breathtaking scenery. Ever since you left the airport, you’d been taking nonstop videos and pictures, eager to capture every moment.
While Josh spoke with the villa owner, you noticed Harry standing in the lobby, absentmindedly scrolling through his phone. An idea popped into your head—taking a candid picture of him. It won’t hurt, right? No one’s going to see it anyway.
You discreetly snapped the photo, and to your surprise, it turned out great. Smiling to yourself, you decided to keep it private.
“Okay, guys, gather around” Josh called out, explaining the room arrangements and today’s itinerary. You learned that you’d be sharing a room with Kirsty, which made you even more excited for the trip.
After the small announcement ended, you walked over to Kirsty. “Are you sure you’re okay sharing with me? I know you’d probably prefer to share with Kon,” you said, watching as Kirsty snapped pictures of the boys for future reference.
“God, no! I’d much rather share with you than Kon,” she laughed. “He snores in his sleep, and I actually want to get some rest on this vacation. I need some me-time.”
You felt relieved knowing you had someone to keep you company other than James.
As the two of you made your way to your assigned room, you started unpacking while chatting about random things—just classic girl talk. It was nice to have a girl friend in this kind of situation.
Out of nowhere, Kirsty smirked. “So… do you have a boyfriend?” You chuckled at the unexpected question. ‘Why is everyone asking me that today?’ you thought, shaking your head.
“I haven’t found the one, and honestly, I’m too busy as it is. Being in a relationship would just be a headache,” you said as you changed into fresh clothes after your shower.
Kirsty nodded in understanding. “I feel you. It’s hard to date someone outside of our work—unless you’re working with them.”
You agreed with her.
As the day went by, everyone got ready for dinner. You took tons of pictures—your food, the restaurant, and your co-workers—for yours and the Sidemen Instagram.
After dinner, Tobi mentioned that some of them were heading to a club and asked if you wanted to join. You said yes, and now, you were all on your way.
You couldn’t wait to have a few drinks and dance to the music. Spotting Harry, you smiled at him, and he returned the gesture. “Are you ready to go?” he asked, adjusting the sleeves of his Childish hoodie.
God, he can even pull off a hoodie, you thought, nodding. “I rarely get a chance to go out back home, so this should be fun,” you said.
The two of you kept talking, laughing easily as the conversation flowed. Harry’s gaze lingered on you—your blue floral sundress, your wavy hair, the way your red lipstick stood out under the soft lighting. He smiled, and you felt heat rush to your cheeks. You could feel him staring.
By the time you arrived at the club, you were already feeling a little buzzed—whether from the alcohol at dinner or from talking with the blue-eyed boy, you weren’t sure.
Without a word, Harry took your hand, guiding you through the crowded venue toward the table. His touch was warm, and for the first time, you realized how much you liked it. You didn’t want him to let go.
And for a while, he didn’t.
"I’m going to order us a drink. What do you like?” Harry asked. “Vodka and Coke, please." He nodded before making his way to the bar.
As he walked away, you felt a pair of eyes on you—grinning like a Cheshire cat. You didn’t even have to look to know who it was. “He’s just being nice,” you mouthed to James. He simply shrugged, sipping his drink and bobbing his head to the music.
A moment later, Harry returned with your drink, placing it in front of you. “You like vodka?” he asked, settling into the seat beside you. “Yeah, I do. But I like it with soda so it’s not too strong.”
He nodded, taking a sip of his own drink. The conversation flowed easily as you both drank, the music pulsing around you.
"Sambuca’s here!” Simon yelled, handing out shots to everyone. You were given three. You didn’t like Sambuca, but for the culture? You had to. Harry and you took the shots together, the strong taste making you wince. The warmth spread through your chest, and you could already feel the alcohol kicking in.
“You wanna go to the dance floor?” Harry asked, leaning in slightly so you could hear him over the music.
You nodded, and before you knew it, he was taking your hand again, leading you through the crowd. The music was loud, the bass thumping in your chest as the two of you danced and sang along to whatever song was playing. He didn’t let go of your hand—not until you were facing each other in the middle of the dance floor.
Harry was awkward when it came to dancing, but with the alcohol running through his system, he seemed a little more confident. The two of you were lost in the moment, just enjoying the night—being young and carefree in another country.
You threw your arms around his shoulders, jumping up and down to the beat, and he chuckled at your antics, shaking his head but letting you do your thing.
After a few songs had played, the two of you returned to the table, taking sips of your drinks. You were thirsty after all that dancing.
“I didn’t know you could dance like that,” Harry sniggered, amusement clear in his voice. You laughed, waving your hand dismissively. “I rarely go out. Please don’t judge me.”
Both of you chuckled before making your way back to the dance floor for round two. This time, you spotted Simon, Josh, Tobi, and Ethan dancing together, clearly having a blast. As you and Harry approached, the four of them cheered.
“How are you enjoying tonight, Y/N?” Ethan asked, noticing you and Harry together. He raised a curious brow—he hadn’t seen much of Harry tonight, and now, it was clear why. A smirk tugged at his lips as he glanced between the two of you, teasing the youngest of the group.
Harry rolled his eyes.
“Oh, I’m loving it! Thank you for the opportunity, boss!” you yelled over the music, which was loud enough that you could barely hear yourself. Ethan laughed, nodding before turning back to the others.
You leaned toward Harry. “I’m going to the restroom for a bit." His fingers were still loosely wrapped around your hand. He nodded, letting go as you slipped away, while he made his way over to the boys. You left for the toilet, but as you walked, you suddenly tripped and fell. A sharp pain shot through your ankle, and you groaned.
Great. What a way to ruin a night out, you thought, wincing as you tried to stand. Slowly, you limped your way back to the table, hoping no one would notice.
As you arrived, you saw Josh, Harry, and Kon sitting together, drinks in hand. “Uh, boss, is it okay if I leave early? I just tripped, and my ankle kinda hurts,” you asked Josh, who was just about to take a sip of his drink.
“Oh no! Are you okay?” he asked, concern evident in his voice. “Do you want me to get James?” Kon offered, already looking around for him.
You quickly shook your head. “No, it’s fine. I can tell he’s enjoying his night. I’ll be fine going home alone.” Josh frowned. “No. Someone needs to go with you.”
Before you could protest, Harry raised his hand. “I can go back with you.” You immediately shook your head. “No, you don’t have to, Harry. Just enjoy your night.”
But he was already finishing his drink. “No, we need to make sure you’re okay,” he insisted, taking your hand.
You sighed but didn’t argue as you waved goodbye to Kon and Josh before letting Harry guide you out of the club.
On the ride back to the villa, you still felt tipsy, and you still couldn’t believe you had tripped. “How’s your ankle? And how did you even trip?” Harry asked, his voice laced with concern.
You giggled. “I tripped and fell. I think I’m drunk,” you admitted, laughing at yourself.
Harry shook his head, chuckling.
When you arrived at the villa, the silence was almost eerie. The only sounds filling the air were distant crickets, making it clear that you two were the first ones back. Harry opened the front door and held it for you.
“Thanks,” you murmured as you stepped inside.
Before you could take another step, Harry’s hand found your arm, steadying you as you wobbled slightly.
“Do you want me to take you to your room?” he asked. You shook your head. “The night’s still young. There’s some alcohol in the fridge—we could hang out in the living room,” you suggested with a giggle.
Harry raised an eyebrow but nodded. “Alright, but only if you promise not to trip again,” he teased, guiding you carefully to the couch.
You plopped onto the sofa while he disappeared into the kitchen. Moments later, he returned with two drinks, handing one to you before settling down beside you.
“Thanks,” you said, taking a sip. As the alcohol buzzed through your veins, you suddenly realized just how close he was. His arm draped casually around the back of the couch, fingertips barely brushing against your shoulder.
And for some reason, you didn’t mind one bit.
Your heart pounded so hard you were sure he could hear it. The air between you grew heavier, the faint buzz from the alcohol mixing with the tension in the room. You hated awkward silences, but this? This wasn’t just silence—it was charged, electric.
You didn’t even realize you had been staring at him until Harry smirked. “What are you thinking in that head of yours?” he teased, his voice low, amused.
Your eyes widened. Shit. Busted.
Your face burned as you quickly turned away. “Uh, n-n-nothing!” you stuttered, desperately hoping he’d drop it.
But he didn’t.
Instead, you felt a gentle touch on your chin, guiding your face back toward his. Your breath hitched as you found yourself staring into his piercing blue eyes, now just inches away from yours. “You know you can tell me, right?” he whispered, his gaze locked onto yours.
Your throat went dry.
Oh, you were in trouble.
Somehow, a sudden wave of courage washes over you. Your heart pounds, but for once, you don’t care. You forget that he’s your boss. You forget the risks, the consequences. Fuck it. You’re on holiday.
“I want to stay with you,” you whisper, your voice barely audible. Harry freezes for a moment, as if making sure he heard you right. Then, without hesitation, he kisses you.
The taste of alcohol lingers between you, but the kiss grows desperate, needy. His arms wrap around you, pulling you closer, and heat floods through your body.
Without breaking the kiss, he lifts you effortlessly into his arms and carries you to his bedroom. The door clicks shut behind him.
He places you gently on the bed, hovering above you, his blue eyes searching yours.
“Tell me you want this,” he murmurs.
You nod. “I do.”
That’s all he needs to hear. His lips crash onto yours again, and soon, hands are exploring, breaths are mingling, and soft moans escape between kisses. You trail your lips down his jaw and neck, and a deep groan rumbles from his throat.
The world outside fades away as you both get lost in the moment, tangled in sheets, until the first light of morning peeks through the curtains.
The soft chirping of birds filters through the open window, the morning sun casting a warm glow over the villa. Beside you, Harry sleeps soundly, his arm draped over your waist, snoring softly. He’s snuggled into you, his breath warm against your skin.
You smile, your mind still reeling from last night. Did that really happen?
Carefully, you slip out of bed, making sure not to wake him. As you quietly gather your clothes and dress, reality begins to sink in. I slept with Harry. I slept with my boss.
And as if on cue, a dull ache pulses from your ankle. Right. I was supposed to ice that… but how could I remember when I was too busy forking my boss?
Suppressing a groan, you tiptoe out of the room, shutting the door gently behind you. You make your way to your own room, pushing the door open to find Kirsty still fast asleep.
Sighing in relief, you quickly change into more comfortable clothes before grabbing your phone. The screen lights up.
30 missed calls from James
10 missed calls from Kirsty
7 missed calls from Josh and Kon
5 missed calls from Simon, Tobi and Ethan
Shit.
Everyone had been looking for you. The sheer number of missed calls on your phone made your stomach churn. You felt bad—really bad—but what were you supposed to say? Sorry, I was too busy sleeping with Harry? Yeah, not happening.
You groaned, throwing yourself onto the bed, hoping to catch a little more sleep before facing the inevitable interrogation. But just as your body starts to relax, you hear a rustling from the other side of the room.
You freeze.
Maybe if you stayed perfectly still, she wouldn’t notice—
“Y/N?”
Shit.
Your heart pounds as you squeeze your eyes shut, pretending to be deep in sleep. You don’t move. You don’t even breathe too loudly.
Silence.
A few seconds pass, then a minute. You don’t hear anything else. Maybe she bought it. Maybe she went back to sleep.
You exhale slowly, relief washing over you. You were still exhausted, still sore, and the last thing you needed was Kirsty’s questions right now. But you needed an excuse. fast.
you did got enough of sleep and wake up at the same time as Kirsty. And she did asked you question of where you've been but you just said to her that you got lost and ended up somewhere far away. As much as you were relieved that Kirsty didn’t push further, a part of you knew she didn’t fully believe you. But you were grateful she let it slide—for now.
You focused on packing your things, trying to ignore the lingering thoughts of last night. The way Harry’s hands felt on you, the way he held you close… You shook your head. Not the time.
Kirsty sighed as she zipped up her suitcase. “I can’t wait to just get home and sleep for a whole day.”
You forced a small laugh. “Yeah… same.” But deep down, you weren’t sure you were ready to go back to reality just yet.
both of you packed your things as you're already prepared to go home yet you feel heavy hearted. you don't want to return to your reality yet. you heard a knock on your door and yelled, "it's open" and revealed James who's been worrying sick.
"Where were you? We tried to called your phone but you didn't answer it" he yelled like a worried father. you grabbed his hand and dragged him to the hallway and close the door so Kirsty won't hear both of you. "I was with Harry. On his bed" you whispered. James let out an exasperated sigh, running a hand through his hair. “Are you serious?” he whispered, eyes wide with disbelief.
You groaned, still hiding your face. “Yes, James. I know, okay? You don’t have to freak out.”
“Freak out?” he hissed, lowering his voice so Kirsty wouldn’t hear. “Y/N, you literally just slept with Harry. Your boss. One night in Greece, and you’re already moving mad.”
You peeked through your fingers, glaring at him. “I know! I don’t need a lecture right now." James sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “So what now? Was it just a one-time thing, or…?”
That question made your stomach twist. You wanted to say it was just a drunken mistake, a heat-of-the-moment thing. But when you thought about the way Harry had looked at you, the way he had held you…
“I don’t know,” you admitted softly. “But I don’t regret it.”
James’ expression softened, but he still looked concerned. “Look, I’m not judging you. I just—be careful. If the boys find out, especially Josh, things could get messy.”
You nodded, knowing he was right. “I just need to act normal.” James gave you a skeptical look. “And do you think Harry can act normal?”
That was the real question.
As you and James made your way downstairs, you couldn’t help but feel a mix of relief and anxiety. At least James knew now, and he wasn’t mad—just concerned. But the real challenge would be facing Harry and pretending like nothing happened.
The dining area was already bustling with the boys and crew, everyone chatting and eating. You spotted Harry sitting with Simon and Ethan, looking as relaxed as ever. When his eyes met yours, there was a brief flicker of something in them—something only you would notice—but he quickly went back to his conversation like nothing had changed.
James nudged you slightly. “See? If he can act normal, so can you.”
You took a deep breath and nodded, sitting down with James and the others. “Morning,” you greeted, trying to sound casual.
“Morning, sleeping beauty,” Ethan teased. “Where the hell did you disappear to last night?”
You laughed nervously. “Got lost on the way back. Had to call Harry to help me find the villa.” You could feel Harry glance at you, but he didn’t say a word.
Josh raised an eyebrow. “Lost? In Greece? Y/N, we were literally a few streets away from the club.”
“Yeah, well, alcohol does that to you,” you shrugged, stuffing a bite of food in your mouth to avoid more questions.
Simon smirked. “You and Harry, alone in the middle of the night? That’s suspicious…”
Your stomach dropped, but before you could say anything, Harry rolled his eyes. “Relax, Minter. Not everything is a conspiracy.”
You let out a breath you didn’t even realize you were holding. James leaned closer and whispered, “You two are so obvious.” You kicked him under the table, making him yelp.
James, being the good friend he was, quickly changed the subject. “Anyway! What’s the plan for today?” Josh sighed “We have a few hours before our flight, so we’re just chilling. Maybe a last walk by the beach if anyone’s up for it.”
You nodded, pretending to be focused on your breakfast, but you couldn’t help sneaking a glance at Harry. He hadn’t looked at you once, which was unusual. Was he regretting last night? Was this his way of pretending it never happened.
You focused on your food, chewing slowly as the conversations around you carried on. You could still feel Harry’s presence beside you, his phone acting as a shield between the two of you.
Why was he being like this? Last night, he was holding you close, whispering sweet things against your skin. Now, he couldn’t even look at you.
You sighed, pushing your plate away as you lost your appetite. Kirsty, who had just joined the table, noticed and nudged you. “Not hungry?” she asked.
“Just tired,” you lied, offering her a small smile.
After breakfast and free time, everyone gets ready to head to the airport. As James helps you walk, you spot Harry. You know you need to talk.
“Wait a minute, James. I won’t be long,” you say. He nods, sensing that you need to clear the tension with Harry. As you approach, Harry is still on his phone, busy with God knows what.
"I told James," you whisper to him. Harry looks at you, raising an eyebrow. “What did you tell him?”
Is he for real?
“About where we were last night. That we spent the night together… in your bed,” you murmur, lowering your voice so no one else can hear.
He looks puzzled. “But we didn’t do anything last night. I don’t remember anything—I was so pissed,” he says before turning and walking off.
You’re stunned. You can’t believe what you just heard. It feels like you’ve been punched in the stomach. The ground beneath you might as well open up and swallow you whole.
Was he really that hammered that he didn’t remember anything?
James walks over to you and nudges your arm. “Well?” You shake your head, trying to blink away the tears welling up in your eyes. “He said he doesn’t remember,” you whisper, but James hears you loud and clear.
His expression shifts to shock, disbelief washing over his face. He clenches his jaw, fists tightening at his sides. For a moment, he looks like he wants to march over to Harry and punch him, but he knows that would only cost him his job.
James reaches out to comfort you, but you flinch away. “I need some time alone,” you mutter before limping toward the car, your ankle still aching from last night.
James watches you walk away, then turns his gaze toward Harry, who is laughing at a joke Ethan just made—completely unaware of the damage he’s just caused.
Y/N feels embarrassed. Of course, he just thought it was a one-night stand. Who did she think she was? She was no one.
The entire ride to the airport, she sulks in silence, trying to hide her sadness and confusion. Was he really that embarrassed to admit he slept with her?
The journey home feels like hell. James stays by her side the entire time, offering quiet comfort as they sit together on the plane. It isn’t until Y/N puts on a sappy romantic movie that the tears finally spill, her emotions too heavy to hold back any longer. James doesn’t say anything—he just lets her feel, lets her grieve whatever it was she thought she had.
Yet even with his support, she still feels like trash. Oh, what a fool she had been.

For those of you interested, here's a snippet from the college AU Valgrace slow burn I'm never gonna actually write (๑˘︶˘๑)
“So, you guys are sure you're not related?” Jason asked skeptically. “Because you're, like, weirdly identical.”
“Piper wishes we were identical,” Leo scoffed. “I’m way hotter than she is.”
Jason considered that for less than a moment before nodding. “That's true. But other than that you guys could pass as twins.”
Leo shrugged casually. “I mean, yeah, when we were little we used to—” He cut himself off with a gross sputtering sound as Jason’s word sunk in while Piper wheezed her cackling laughter at his side. “What did you just say?”
Jason blinked wide blue eyes at him in obvious confusion. “What?” Leo didn't respond beyond turning vermillion, but Jason’s phone chose that moment to ring, breaking the tension. He glanced down at the screen and winced before giving Piper and Leo an apologetic look. “Sorry, I've got to take this. I'll be right back.”
“Don’t worry about it dude, we're not going anywhere,” Leo assured him. Jason gave him one of those smiles that made Leo's stomach flutter like hyperactive butterflies, and he stood to step away.
As soon as he was gone, Leo buried his face in his arms with a groan, knowing Piper was going to pounce on him.
Right on cue, he felt her dig the knuckle of her pointer finger between his ribs and when he yelped and scowled at her, she put on a comically pitiful puppy dog pout and tapped the tips of her pointer fingers together. “Ooowwwhh, I dunno, Pipew, what if he doesn't wike me?” she mocked. "We'we jus fwends.”
“Shut up!” he seethed, clapping both of his hands to her mouth. “I hate you I hate you I hate you. Shut up.”
Piper rolled her eyes and licked his palm so he squawked and retreated. “Seriously, though. That guy is, like, overtly flirting with you. You know that, right?”
“You don’t get it; he's just like that,” he said defensively. His cheeks and heart did nothing to support his point. “He's just really earnest and sweet and nice and he just says stuff, okay? You can’t read into it. I'm sure that he would have agreed with you if you'd claimed to be the hotter one.”
“You know, maybe if he hadn't spent the entire conversation making heart-eyes at you, I'd believe you, but weeeeellll…”
Leo buried his face back in his arms. “You’re so annoying. Go away and bother someone who loves you.”
Piper made some obnoxious kissing sounds, but before she could say anything else, Jason returned to his seat. Leo looked up and was met with that warm, gentle gaze. “Sorry about that. If it was anyone else, I wouldn't have let them interrupt us, but it was my dad and he's… insistent.” Then his gaze flicked over to Piper like he'd forgotten that she was there and his eyes widened with realization. “Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't even think to ask if you wanted anything. I can go order real quick, if you'd like.”
“Nah, don't worry about it, I'm about to take off anyway,” she smiled at him. “I just wanted to check in and see how my baby brother—”
“Die.”
“—was doing.” She stood up to leave, waving at them over her shoulder. “Bye, Leo! Bye, Jason! Have fun on your date!”
Leo choked so hard his milkshake came out of his nose and he yanked the collar of his jacket up over his head and wished he could dissolve into atoms while Jason fussed over him.
He really hated his sister.

so sorry but that post about "the reason boys and men are being radicalized is bc girls are mean to them" is driving me up the fucking wall. maybe i really am just on a different internet than the rest of you but. this sentiment of "women are being bitches who don't care about men and that's why there's Problems now" is like. such an alpha male podcast classic take. like it's literally "not all men". it doesn't magically become better bc u say stuff with liberal terminology. jesus christ

🏳️‍⚧️ DOUBLE HEADCANON ATTACK!!! 🏳️‍⚧️
Family HCs are already fun on their own but with transness added on they're even better. It's actual comedy gold. Also I've always wanted to draw some kind of Meta Knight VS Galacta Knight type thing, but I can't take anything seriously like that. So you get This.
What This is, is a way too high effort shitpost. It took a combined 2 and a half? Days, though most of it was just sketching. I'm proud of it! Anything for the bit.
Textless version + unfinished doodle under the cut

One of the reasons I want Morpherine to be canon is for tumblrs reaction. I want to see my rarepair trend the way Poolveribe did (it was a rare pair until the movie). I wanna see homophobes getting mad that the most masculine character in the show is a "queer" like he didn't date Hercules in one comic. I wanna see the reactions of the like, 12 Morpherine shippers who shipped them before it was canon and SHIT their pants when they scream about it on tumblr. I want to see the ao3 fics for them increase. I want to see Morph become a more popular character after it.
But, that relies on Disney and Marvel not being homophobic and wanting to torture Logan with the Jean & Scott love triangle for 8 more seasons, so it probably won't happen

sorry, i'm still hung up on how bad the writing for sarevok was in bg3. it's not even just "he's so out of character!!" bad. that is just straight up not him. literally who is this man, what the hell is he talking about, and what has he done with the actual sarevok because nothing he says makes ANY sense like....
just as one example of how wild the contradictions/retcons are, this is how bg3 has him recount his resurrection in bg2 -
Tumblr media
and this is (parts of) how it actually happened -

like??? it's so bad and weird and dumb and for WHAT???

I will forever be so upset that the Ice Chapter didn't give us a Kai VS Ice Emperor fight like come OOOON!
And I'm not even coming at this from an oppo angle. Like yeah, I love oppo, everyone knows that, but it just feels like such a missed opportunity to have Kai have to fight Zane and have him be the one to get him to snap out of it. But no, it has to be Lloyd because he's Lloyd.
And another thing that makes me so upset regarding the missed potential here is the fact that in the Fire Chapter, the big bad villain is Aspheera. And at the end of the Fire Chapter, Zane is the one who defeats her, you know, the master of ice. So then in the Ice Chapter, it would make sense that the one to defeat the big bad would be Kai since he's the master of fire and it would make for good parallels or whatever. But no we don't get that.
At the very least we get that awesome, badass scene where Kai defeats Boreal and saves the others. That scene was amazing, I just with we got a little more from Kai, you know?

give me gentle timebomb in s2, i NEED it
let it be some "calm before the storm" moment
let them just have this "goodness, we're so tired, let's just feel peace in each other's arms and words"
