You think you'll have a door just for him. Only he can go through it, only he would have the keys to it. And he could come by as he pleases.

Yeah.

It's late at night when he comes in. The bell over the front door rings out and takes you out of your late night work. You were filling up needles for the night crew and also filling out paper work from earlier in the day.

"I've got another one." he says.

You lay down the needle and jog over to the front door. Jason Todd walks in with a cat in his arms. It seems calm and unmoving. It's white fur dirty and a bit matted.

"Highway?" you ask.

You take out your flashlight and carefully look at her pupils. They dilate to the light and track it as your move it around. No signs of a concussion but a scan would really answer that question.

"Yeah, she was doing cars left and right. Didn't seem hurt but you usually do scans right?" He asks you.

You look up at him.

You nod your head, "Yeah I can do an ultra sound...do you mind staying?"

In that moment, you try to dissect the way he's looking at you. No, you didn't mean for it to come out like that. But you did mean to ask. He's the one that saved her from the highway. His presence could help her stay calm.

Jason clears his throat, "Yeah I can, I can stay. Sure."

"Okay, follow me."

The cat, who Jason is calling Ziggy, is resting peacefully in a pen on her own. You close the gate gently and lock it after. You turn and look at Jason now.

He's standing a few feet behind you with his arms crossed over his chest. A serious look on his face.

"You know sometimes, it's not always a bad story. Sometimes its a good one." you speak.

"A cat on a highway dodging cars is a good story?" he asks you.

You sigh, "I've had some come in this office with extensive injuries and they were dumped on the highway. In a bag or no bag. Just left to fend for themselves in a dangerous environment."

"How do you do it?" he asks.

"Me being here makes a difference. I'm here when someone like you shows up with an animal in need. You make a difference too Jason." you answer.

He shrugs his shoulders, "I'm just doing what I can."

"Which is more than most do. So give yourself some credit."

"I don't really do that." he says.

"Well, you keep coming around here I'll do it for you." you reply.

He doesn't really answer. He just hums a response. An approving and a quite silent hum. But a hum nonetheless. You smile at that.

You remember the first time he came here and dropped of a lost bird. He barely said more than four words to you. He told you about the bird and then he parted ways. You didn't expect to see him again but he keeps showing up.

And you want him to.

FAQ

Why hasn't my ask been answered? I get a lot of asks, and I can't answer everything. It usually takes a few days to a week to get around to answering an ask. Sometimes the ask may also contain a submission that cannot be posted, ie you submitted a real person, a cat in the harmful situation or with wounds. For text based asks I cannot get to everything and am frequently inundated with comments. Not all will get a response. If you ask a question answered in the FAQ I will not answer.

How do you evaluate the kitties? The economy guides my hand, I merely see the truth of what is already there.

I tagged you into a post, but you never responded? I get a lot of tags, and often a lot of the same post. I will try to avoid responding to the same post multiple times (sometimes I forget!). Sometimes I just have so many tagged posts to get to I have to cut some out. I do see every tagged post though so you're post will still be seen, even if not answered.

What is the most valuable kitty ever? Our current estimates would put Intergalactic Shiro, now at an impressive 720000000000

What currency are the kitties evaluated in? They are all in Kitty Dollars. I've never heard of this "USD" or "Euro" stuff. None of it is real.

I want to tag you in a post, but I don't know how? To tag me into a post you will need to reblog the post and add the tag into the text field of the post (no the tags!). They would say no at first because they know how much it means to MC. After all, they helped MC get it and was there when MC gave it to Viktor for Father’s Day.

They would try to convince MC that they don’t need to do this and that MC can just get them another simple band/ring for them. It doesn’t have to be the one with such profound sentiment for MC.

If MC insists, then they’ll accept it gingerly and they’ll wear it everyday; they promise to take care of it with their life.

Rin

Similar to Ash, they’d be very hesitant. They are also aware of the importance of the ring to MC. They promise, they’d be satisfied with any other “normal” rings MC get them. Just stick with the classic gold or diamond ring.

But if MC insists, they’ll accept it hesitantly but deep inside, they are actually really touched. Sure, physically, the ring might be cheap and made out of simple stainless steel, but what matters of course is the meaning it holds for MC, and that itself makes it more valuable than any other rings on earth. There’s nothing like it.

For MC to entrust it to them, is a symbol of pure and utmost trust and loyalty MC has for them and they will repay it tenfold.

Honestly, as sweet as the gesture may be, it might not be the best for Santana. Viktor’s ring, being the only thing that Viktor really cherished that he had access to near the end of his life… It’s safe to assume that it’s imbued with the strong memory and emotions of what Viktor felt and went through that fateful night that just won’t go away even after years.

Their biggest concern is they can accidentally trigger it, especially when they are just tired or down, and they would feel like it would be such a violation of privacy somehow. Not to mention the intense feeling and trauma as well.

So, they’d probably try to say no and decline, and ask MC for just a simple ring or any other ring. But if MC still insists, they’ll take it, especially because they don’t want to hurt MC’s feelings and they love MC and if they accidentally triggered the memory in the future, they’ll just have to endure it like always.

This is one of a kind ring, MC, and nothing in this world will be able to replace it and all the memories that clings to it. Around 42. But I'll be honest: I may have miscounted, and there may be less than 42 posts.

One thing that bothers me about jujutsu is that the author doesn't know how to develop some characters. 1 Shoko Ieri is an interesting character but I find her apathetic without a cold and superficial personality. 2 itadori yuji doesn't seem to be a protagonist he seems more like a tool than the protagonist of the work. 3 nobara had no development dry and emotionless death. and many other characters. There were only 2 characters that really had development, which was gojo and geto, for me, they were the only ones that had it. Why do you think the author did this, is it because he didn't want to develop the characters that's why he killed many important characters? I would appreciate it if you respond.

As you've graciously sent this ask twice and I've already answered the other one in a sensible, level-headed manor....

All you had to say was that you only care about Satosugu and their role in the story because that's the underlying impression that I've gotten. If I'm wrong and that isn't the case, I'd be interested in knowing who (excluding Geto and Gojo) that you find to be good characters. There are plenty of answers to pick from, I promise you.

I like satosugu, but they aren't my favorites, character or ship-wise. They're also not the reason I got into JJK. That was Nobara's doing, and considering how much I post positively about her, Yuuji, and Shoko, it's wild that you picked those three to drag in my inbox.

For my peace of mind, I'll say you aren't a troll or purposefully trying to get a rise out of me by calling my fave characters (two of which are solidly in my top five) superficial tools with no development, because if you were, you could have taken the low-hanging fruit of shit-talking Sukuna while you were at it.

In the event that you aren't a troll, I'd say you have some incredibly unfortunate luck. If you are, idk, come up with better points? Try a little harder?

Also, I try to respond to all of my asks, I've just been a little busy lately and sometimes need time to think up a good response to an ask. You don't gotta send the same thing twice to make sure I answer.

I can’t believe that Puss in Boots got time to write good story of mine that are better than the others that I’ve done so far and everyone seemed to like it because I’ve got nearly 500 kudos and if I get them I might try and do something great like my own cover as I’m hoping anyone would take part to have fun but I’ve got so many things that I thought people would take part is hard to choose…

But anyway, your drawings of my story and the others are still amazing as always but I can school and college homework can drag you down and you just want to do your stuff instead of others…

But anyway again, chapter 24 will be the best dream sequel number three like I did the two of them and I know everyone know what’s going on but they want to know if it’s true.

The reason why I wrote in a long inbox because I saw the others talking about Jack Horner, anyways he is not a good boy because all he ever wanted is the control powers and rule the world which is kind of pointless because he ain’t strong enough. And I’m glad that death did take him down at the Wising Star while Puss had been spared.

Have you read the new chapter from The Tune He Whistle? It’s absolutely more bittersweet and I’m praying that Puss and Death would have the moment at chapter 18.

I'm sorry for not responding to what you said about my art sooner! I'm at school right now before I can answer it, mostly because I am on mobile and I want to respond to everything you said. I have read it about 4 times now, it brings me joy every time I think about all the ncie things you said

Anyway, yes he is Chaos incarnate in a carefree and sexy way and Jeremy (The little space man next to him in the space wip) Is completely and utterly horrifuef by everything he does /lh

I'll go into more detail when I get home and I should be able to give a general timeline of events in his life! I have scrapped the multiple life times idea as it was too complicated and I found too many plot holes in it (If I didn't talk about it then ignore this bit) so I've made it linear, but I've had to scrap and merge some parts that I'd originally scripted for him. Unfortunately this does not mean he was ever a pirate. Rip my girlfriend who loved that about him (I'm not sure if I talked a lot about that either- There's a lot to say about this man!!)

I'm also refining how his "death but not really" works at the moment, like maybe when he's fatally wounded he'll be almost reverted to his healthiest state, physically. This man has never been mentally stable. Never. There will be a few trigger warnings for the time line, especially his early childhood, and I'll be taking a lot of constructive critasism about it because I haven't gone anything close to what he went through!

Oops now I'm rambling- Wait I can just do the time line now

I probably shouldn't but!! Oh well!! I'll do it in a seperate ask so that this one doesn't get even longer.

Heathen! Hello! There's no need to apologize--I actually didn't expect you to respond to what I said at all, I was just saying it in response to what you sent first. But I am glad that what I said brought you joy!! Also there was a moment of surprise cause I didn't look at the url of the person posting and had scrolled past it and went "huh that looks like Maui....and heathen's art style wait a minute" and scrolled back up only to realize that it was both Maui and your art style!!

I am very happy for Maui and his chaotic sexiness or however that should be phrased, and sympathetic towards Jeremy's plight, afflicted with the chaotic sexy of Maui that he is. Sounds like it is not an easy job to be close (?) to Maui. idk you saying "everything he does" makes it sound like he's with Maui a lot but maybe he's not, I wouldn't know.

Also I have received the asks about his life timeline and the one with your reactions!! I haven't responded yet not because I'm uncomfortable with the contents but really I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I will do that though. At some point. I generally try not to answer an ask from the same person multiple times in a row.

I do remember the multiple lives thing, though you didn't go into a lot of detail. A tragedy that he is no longer someone who once was a space pirate, but sacrifices must be made. He will continue to be a space pirate in your girlfriend's heart, and that's what counts.

Good luck figuring out the death but not really thing!! Fine tuning the details of how things work can be annoying but you'll get there eventually and find something that suits your story. And sometimes the thing that suits your story is mental instability, so hope Maui has fun dealing with that!

"What- I thought Gwil- never mind, did I hurt your shoulder?" You stumble over your words and he chuckles, the curve his red lips are sporting making your insides melt.

"No, you didn't."

"Oh thank heavens. Sure I didn't add to your injuries? " You had to say it but luckily, he shakes his head good-naturedly and seems to have shrugged off the issue. "I'm okay now. I've been for so long actually." At least you've got the conversation going, against the odds of you doubting that it might've ended up awkward with how long you haven't been in touch. You smile crookedly and rub your arm, sighing profoundly to say another word but as you open your mouth to do so, Ben beats you to it. "What about you? How've you been?"

You shrug. "Same old but tortured...and pissed...at Joe...for doing me injustice like that." He rubs the back of his hair and cocks his head to one side. "Oh? Tell me about it."

You give him a brief, speculative look– thinking that it's a miracle you're talking normally like you haven't kissed each other the day you left him lamenting on a hospital bed, been in contact for an entire year and made love with your eyes during the ceremony– in that order.

You snap out of it and look around the busy reception. "I- well-"

"To make it easier, let's head out for a walk on the beach, shall we?" Ben steps aside to let you leave before him and you tuck a tendril of your hair behind your ear, nodding as you walk ahead. He follows you out and you glance over your shoulder, looking past him and seeing Joe wiggle his brows at you from their table– to which you widen your eyes in annoyance and a little gratitude.

Your walk has been graced with the twinkle of a thousand stars and the calm splash of the evening waves against the shore. You've let your hair down from the tight bun you've put it in and taken off your sandals to traipse along the water while Ben remains along the dry sand to stay practical– not that you aren't. He just has his shoes on while you're holding onto yours.

You haven't strolled far from the party with the lamps spanning from the vicinity within the reception still present as you tread along. You've told him all about Barcelona and your studies and everything else concerning your life there; so far it's been good and jolly. He's taken a new project and is in the process of filming, something you've congratulated him on as well– the previous one being his full recovery and you didn't bother to bring up the prior events to that, it might just lead to something you'd lose your voice to talk about. It's a relief that you are able to share a few laughs in between, something you thought wouldn't be possible anymore. You haven't talked to each other like this is ages.

"I guess we're both working our fingers to the bone." He chuckles and stops in his tracks to enjoy the breeze. You involuntarily mimic his stance and stand semi-still on the water, tossing your sandals onto the driest part of the sand.  "I guess. Business before pleasure they say."

"Well my business is my pleasure so it seems like it only applies to you." The smile on his face widens thoroughly and you scoff underneath your breath, swinging your leg back and forth, creating mini splashes. "Excuse me, it applies to neither of us. I love working for something I know will finally lead to my dream."

He hums and bends down to pick up a pebble, casting it smoothly against the water and makes three skips. "It just occurred to me that you never once told me anything about your dream to become a doctor or anything." You give him a fleeting smile and shake your head, crossing your arms as you begin admiring the sky. "If I had told anyone, it wouldn't come true."

"Seriously?"

You raise your hands up briefly in defense and let out a chuckle, bending down to pick up a pebble to skip as well. "I'm living proof that it's effective, you should try it sometime." While you cast your pebble and watch it skip, he studies you intently and with great focus, drawing in a sharp breath before taking off his shoes to join your spot in the shallow water. He sets it aside and stands next to you, lifting his gaze up to the sky and then to you as you take in the cluster of stars dotting the heavens.

The gleam in your eyes as you beam at the starry view puts him under a spell and you sense his piercing stare, encouraging you to catch his fixed look. "What is it this time?"

He gulps, his mouth going dry. "I've sent you a message a couple of weeks back. Never got a response from you..."

You angle your head to one side amusingly. "I replied? Maybe you just don't check your inbox that much- and wait, I changed my number, how did you-"

"Our boy, Joe."

Of course. Joe really needs a new girl in his life, he must be exhausted from being such a mediator.

"And yes, I don't check my inbox a lot. Busy as a bee lately." He adds with a defeated smile present. You weave your fingers together, keeping your vision limited to the horizon yet sensing his eyes penetrate through you.

A little shy to let him see your blush creeping up your cheeks, you tear yourself away from his gaze and sigh inwardly. "I know that look somehow."

"For the third time asked in this lifetime, would you care to finish the dance we had at the after party? A dance to satisfy all the dances we never had the chance to finish. "

Your mouth shamelessly hangs like an attic door with loose hinges at how he was able to remember that. You recall his attending physician say that there would be no risks of amnesia or any sort of memory loss, although he shouldn't be able to recall minor details.

But then your dance wasn't a minor memory.

Ben's still waiting for your answer and you recompose yourself from the jaw drop, stuttering in the slightest as you speak up.  "Uh y-yeah. I mean, we never get to finish dances, am I right?"

Without tethering himself from taking your hand in his, he draws you close to him, the movement of your legs making small ripples and swishes in the water. You can't keep a firm eye on him and as he understands your uncertainty due to how long it's been since the pair of you have closed a distance, he manually positions your arms around his neck, putting a little forethought into snaking his hands around your waist to ease you into it again.

"Hey, like old times, right?" He cajoles softly and you look up at him.

"Like old times." You repeat after him and find it easy to stare into his eyes again, once more submitting yourself to the metronomic beat of your heart. He initiates with light sway, feeling the crashing waves beneath your feets put an effect to how you're moving. With you studying every detail of his face adoringly, you notice the small yet noticeable scar on the near left of his forehead; a small residue of his injury. You frown as you reach up to trace your finger smoothly across his scar, your heart breaking at the memory of that night.

Ben takes notice of your flitting expression and cups your cheek to alleviate the worry you've put yourself in at the sight of his scar. "Hey, hey. Don't worry about it, I'm okay now."

You hang your head apologetically, chewing on your bottom lip with the urge to bring up what you wanted to suppress out of guilt.

"I'm sorry if I left you like that. At the time you really needed me the most, I scrammed and ghosted you for an entire year. I broke my promise, your arm and a small fraction of your skull," as inappropriate as it is to laugh a little at it, you let it slip past your lips anyway to give it a stretch and lighten the weight on your shoulders, "and it's all thanks to Joe for making up that worst case scenario."

Joe did say you'd hurt him on every possible level– ranging from physical to spiritual. Though you didn't afflict him physically per se, your carelessness on the highway did. "I'm so sorry, Ben, for letting my emotions get in the way of what we had. Our friendship. You loved someone else then and being in a way cursed with unrequited feelings, I-I had to distance myself."

He assures you with a loose smile, twirling you under his arm and leisurely pulling you back to his body. "Every bit of it is alright. I had sworn on the day we met that I'd protect you with every fiber of my being and I should be the one that's sorry. All you ever did was love me," he stares down at you intimately, lifting your hand to his lips and kissing your knuckles, "though how clueless and unbearable I was," a kiss to your wrist, "through all my complaints and nasty fits," a kiss to your cheek, the sensation making you giggle slightly, "through my clumsy tendencies, " a kiss to your nose, "through all my mood swings after a bad day on set," an elongated kiss on your forehead, parting away deliberately before flicking his eyes to your lips and back to your Y/E/C orbs. He gulps audibly at how he's asking you for permission to do it. "When I couldn't return that love to you because I was blind enough to let Rosy stay. For loving me...in both my lowest and highest."

He's risking a few inches in but you can tell he's holding back. You slacken your arms from his neck, little by little dropping them to your sides as his green eyes finally overwhelm you.

The corner of his eyes crinkle as he smiles, breathing out the words you've long waited for. "You've held my heart in your hands even when you were miles away and though you won't be staying for long, I'll always be waiting." In the same way you had when you left, you tip your head back to let his lips meet yours only this time it doesn't take him by surprise. Your lips don't move against each other for a few seconds and you pull away, breathless.

His green eyes are wide yet flecked with awe, unruly brows lightly creased together with small strands of his combed back, blond hair falling into them but they soften as the smile on his face widens. "You're not with Joe, are you?"

You chuckle, shaking your head and heaving out a defining exhale. "I never was. You're not with Rosy anymore, are you?"

He shakes his head as well and it appears the blissful grin on his face won't be coming off anytime soon.

"Long done. I love you, and you alone."

You'll be blaming him later for the ear-splitting grin now etched on your face.

"I love you too, Benjamin."

He throws his head back in relief and lifts you up in his arms, tilting his head back as he savors the full feeling of your lips on his, the kiss gradually becoming open-mouthed.

As if on cue, the fireworks meant for Rami and Lucy come launching up into the sky and bursting into bright colors, the sparks raining down and vanishing into thin air shortly after. Cheers of the people emanate from the party as Lucy and Rami share the same kiss from outside at the same time you and Ben are. You pull away with unridable grins on your faces and share the magical sight of the fireworks lighting up the night sky with no other disturbances to ruin the moment.

"You think they'd start wondering where we are?" You hum with your head rested against his chest. He kisses your hair and smiles as he tightens his hold around you, revelling deep in the moment.

"They'd get the idea, babe. They'd get the idea."

Lucy was right, Ben has always been your soulmate; the three dances you've had in your lifetime somehow always brought you back to each other. Hopefully the one you just had will be the one that will never tear you both apart ever again.

You've yet to thank Joe for tricking you into thinking that it was Gwilym he wanted to spin you off to.

(1/?) I graduate high school on Friday, but I just can't seem to get myself excited for it. It's actually the opposite for me. I thought I was excited but now as it gets closer I'm dreading it. I never thought I'd make it here, age 19 and graduating high school, but now that I almost have made it, ironically enough, I just feel stressed and suicidal. I don't think I'll actually try anything, but for the past few weeks I've just gone to bed every night fantasizing about hanging myself- -JD

I guess it might be because I have no plans after high school, haven’t applied to any colleges, and I can’t even drive so I can’t get a job or move out yet. I just feel like I’ve outgrown my life, like I’m 19 living a 15 year old’s life. It’s almost as if the universe thought I’d be dead by now so it didn’t have any idea what to do with me. I know I’ve been a lot more depressed these past few years than usual, so I guess the sudden “oh shit my life is gonna change” is making me scared and want a way out. I don’t know. I’m just tired. I’m sorry for the delayed response!  How did graduation go?  Congrats on graduating!  That is a really hard accomplishment and making it this far is something to be really proud of.  No need to apologize for talking about what’s going on, it made total sense to me and I hear you.  Even though you’ve been having problems with certain things like scholarships and applications, making good grades is a major accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself.

If I may ask, do you talk to anyone about your depression?  Something that I learned not to long ago is that when you grow up with depression, it can be really hard when all of a sudden you make it to another milestone in life.  It’s like you’ve spent a lot of time hurting and not sure you were going to make it so when you do make it you are doing a lot of work to catch up.  If you don’t have anyone to talk to, I would suggest maybe seeing a therapist.  Even just to help with you figuring out what you want to do next and helping you plan out next steps (like if you want to get your license or apply somewhere).  My therapist has helped me a lot with life planning like that, which is hard to do on your own sometimes.  I also wanted to say that there is no shame in where you are at.  Your own pace is always a good enough pace to be at and there is no age limit on achieving “x” thing in life.

Since by now I'll have to guess that you are ignoring me, let me just say this: Just as you find it frustrating that many players will not even question NISA’s translation, it’s also sad to me that you refuse to let your followers know you made a mistake. As a translator, bringing the real meaning of the text to the people should be more important to you than your pride. That's all.

I’m not really sure what you’re talking about, anon, since I definitely haven’t been ignoring you or anyone else! Keep in mind that I get a lot of messages per day, usually anywhere between 10-15 (sometimes more on a busy day), and most of them are anonymous. I can’t answer all of those asks in a timely fashion because I also have a lot of real-life obligations on my plate, but I try my best.

Also, Tumblr can and has eaten plenty of asks in the past, a fact which I sadly have no control over. Sometimes I’ll see there are new message notifications, check my inbox, and the number of messages won’t match up with the number of notifications. So instead of assuming I’m ignoring you, perhaps you could be a bit less rude about it.

The only thing I can think you’re referring to is the Chapter 5 localization post, and the “人にやらされるゲーム” part in particular, which I did answer a question from an anon about here. Since my response was a lot shorter, I put it in my “ask” tag rather than tagging it as meta, but as it’s been up for almost two weeks, you could have checked if you’d wanted to.

I already made it pretty clear that while やらさせる would certainly indicate forcing someone to participate in something, やらされる does not necessarily do so. To get even more specific about tense, 殺らされる is in its “causative passive plain present indicative form,” meaning yes, it works just fine in the context of “a game that people are done in by / a game that people are killed by” (which is the same tense).

Also, I emphasized in my post that considering the fact that Ouma’s final flashbacks with Momota directly tie in with his motive video in Chapter 6, which was also either accidentally or deliberately mistranslated, the loss of human life was central to Ouma’s entire discussion.

Context is extremely important in translation work, so however confusing the sentence might be on its own, it should be much clearer what Ouma was referring to when looking at the rest of that scene, as well as his and DICE’s motto against killing people. NISA’s localization choice with that particular line makes no sense in context, nor does it tie in with any of the future scenes or reveals regarding Ouma.

I can and do make plenty of mistakes when translating and analyzing! Mistakes are perfectly normal, and we’re all only human, after all. However, in this particular case, I’m not wrong. I’ve looked over the translation plenty of times, as well as the translation of other lines from the same scene. It’s a fact that the localization of that speech in Chapter 5 definitely tweaked or left out aspects of Ouma’s character which are directly related to the reveals about him in Chapter 6 (which were also tweaked or left out entirely).

I translate for free, because I enjoy the game and I wanted to share the experience with others. That’s all I’ve been doing since the Japanese release of the game. I do it because it’s fun, not out of “pride” or anything like that. So I’d appreciate if you could maybe tone down the rudeness or stop jumping to assumptions, since, as I’ve said many a time, I’ve always tried to be polite and respectful here.
