Sypnosis: How making a journal page turned into something more

"What the hell are you even doing?"

Megumi questioned you as you were making a lyrics page in your journal. That wasn't weird, but what was that you were putting on lipstick, kissing the page, and then repeating it over and over again till the page was covered in lipstick stains?

"Gumi, it's just so aesthetic! See, it looks so nice and makes the lyrics pop. The song is even called I like the way you kiss me." You spoke nonchalantly, trying to get Megumi jealous.

"It's stupid," he says, coming closer to you and sitting on the couch.

"Why though?" You say, a small smile creping up to your lips as the distance between you both closes.

"Because you can kiss me with lipstick on instead of on a page with meaningless lyrics." He says, his face betraying the act of being cool.

"Fine then, gumi."

"Name, what you are doing is concerning me a little." Yuta said, trying to hide the jealousy. Why were you placing kisses in your journal while he didn't get a single one today?

"Yu-yu, come here. It looks so nice. I will definitely try this idea out in the future." You said, just patiently waiting until Yuta finally starts kissing you.

I have to do something...If (name) thinks it's okay to do this, then maybe she will kiss me less and eventually fall out of love. If that happens, I'll die!

He quickly bends down, grabbing your face and leaning down to kiss you. He needed to make you understand that this can't be happening.

"N-name, don't place your kisses on the paper, okay? I am here to take them all.

Proceeds to kiss you so much that it leaves your lips swollen and breathless.

"Honey, am I not a good kisser?" Yuji asks nervously, his fingers fidgeting and him not able to make eye contact with you.

"Why, Yuji, You are the best kisser ever. What makes you think you are not?" Worry eitches on your face, trying to think what made him so upset.

"Well, I saw you place kisses on the paper. It made me think I was not a good kisser and made you do that." Yuji says, pointing to your journal.

"Oh no, no, no, baby. It was just a page I did for fun, if it makes you upset. I will rip it off and not do it again."

"Well, if that's not the case, can I have a kiss?'

"Sure thing."

NEED to get out of writer's block. Just re-watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0 for the third time. (I know I am crazy but I LOVE YUTA) Just trying to make my heart better because NONE of my favourite jjk fanfiction authors are uploading.

OK so I had finished this fic during December, even the little note for my writer's ranting and added the tags in general saving this fic for some sort of jujutsu kaisen fluff event I wanted to do BUT it was new year, I haven't uploaded any fic since 2 months or 3 months so just thought of uploading it on January 1st to you know wish everyone happy new year 🎉

Chapter 2 ˏˋ°•*⁀➷

Eminem x Female!reader (Feel free to put in your own oc insert)

Description - Y/n is struggling artist who decides to perform at an event hosted by MTV where a bunch of celebrities will be watching in person. Marshall is invited and is immediately captured by Y/n's beautiful voice. Now all he wants is for her to be on his next song.

Warnings - Throughout the series there will be: Smut, Mild swearing (More warnings to be added in the future)

Y/n spent the next few weeks feeling stressed about her audition tape. She would constantly find herself checking her emails all the time. It came to the point that she would sneak off secretly to check during work. At one point, her manager Tom had caught her.

“Y/n?” He asked, startling her.

Her phone fell out of her hand and it would've hit the floor if it weren't for her fast reflexes. She quickly put her phone in her pocket and turned around to give Tom a nervous smile.

“Hey Tom.” She said with that dumb smile on her face.

“I know you were on your phone Y/n. Matter of fact, I've seen you checking it a lot more recently. Could you explain why?”

“Well, uh. Have you heard of The Rhythm of New York?”

“Oh yeah, that celebrity event that MTV's hosting where people come over to sing?”

“Mhm, well, I auditioned for it.”

“You did?”

“Yeah. I've just been so paranoid about it and I've just been feeling pretty on edge.”

“You auditioned for The Rhythm of New York?” A voice asked ecstatically.

Y/n whipped her head around to see one of her co-workers stick his head out of the door that led to the kitchen in the back.

“Sure did, Daniel.” Y/n responded.

“And you didn't tell me?” Daniel replied dramatically, pretending that he was hurt.

Y/n chuckled at his antics. “Sorry, Dan.” 

“Listen, I understand that you're paranoid about it but you can't be checking your phone all the time at work, understand?” Tom said.

“Yes, no, of course. I understand.” Y/n replied.

Just then, Maya came out of the kitchen with a huge smile and put her arm around Y/n. Their other co-worker, Ali followed Maya out too.

“Just you wait guys,” Maya said. “She's gonna be an international superstar.”

“We don't know that yet. I haven't even gotten anything back. And even if I did get in, my performance will be forgotten about the next day.” Y/n said.

“Oh don't say that!” Ali insisted. “We've all listened to your music and you've got talent, girl!”

Y/n thanked Ali and smiled as she felt a warmth of happiness spread through her heart. Her co-workers at the diner had always been the family she'd never had. They had all the elements a family would have: kindness, support, care and love. Y/n felt safe with them. She felt like she could be herself and not be judged.

Suddenly, a notification went off on Y/n's phone. She looked at Tom pleadingly and gave him a needy look that said: “Please let me check my phone, just this once and then I'll promise to stop getting distracted by it while I work.”

And just like Tom could read her mind, he sighed. “Fine, you can check it. But, seriously, after this you gotta stop going on your phone all the time.”

Y/n checked the notification from her lock screen and noticed it was an email from The Rhythm of New York. She covered her mouth as her eyes widened.

“Is it from them?” Maya asked.

Y/n nodded as she unlocked her phone and opened Gmail. Her shaky thumb hovered over the unopened email as she felt beads of sweat rolling down her face. She suddenly placed the phone down on the counter and started pacing around.

“I can't open it.” She said, feeling scared.

“What? Yes you can.” Daniel replied.

“No, what if I didn't get in? Or what if I did get in and it was just a mistake and then when I go to perform they kick me out? Or what if they kick me out mid performance?! My life is doomed-”

“You got in.” Maya interrupted.

“What?” Y/n replied shakily.

Maya held up Y/n's phone. “You got in. It says it right here.”

Y/n took her phone off her friend and carefully read the email, making sure she didn't miss out a single word. 

“Oh my gosh, I actually got in!” She cheered.

Everyone started cheering for her and hugging her as they congratulated her.

The email read:

Dear Y/n Y/l/n,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been one of the few lucky people to sing at MTV's music event; The Rhythm of New York. 

Please come to the address below to rehearse and practise your performance.

“There's an address below I have to go to so I can practise.” Y/n said.

Maya peered over her friend’s shoulder to read the address. “I know where that is.”

“Do you think you could come with me there later?” Y/n asked.

Maya agreed and they decided to go to the address after work. 

“Alright everyone, back to work.” Tom said, waving his hands  and shooing everyone back to continue their work.

The next week consisted of practising and long rehearsals. By the end of week, Y/n was ready to just throw herself onto her bed and fall into a deep sleep. But she still had more to do. She had to get a dress as well.

So the following week, Maya and Y/n ran through a variety of different stores looking for the perfect dress. Y/n's constant trips to the dressing room made her feel exhausted. It only made her more disappointed when the dress her and Maya chose didn't satisfy her.

“Okay, how about this one?” Maya said. She held up a strapless, dark purple dress that shone in the light.

“Oh, this looks cute. Hope it looks cute on me though.” Y/n said as she took the dress with her to the dressing room.

Y/n took off her clothes and slid on the dress. When she looked at herself in the mirror she smiled joyfully knowing that this dress was the one.

“Well? Do you like it?” Maya said from outside the room.

Y/n slid the curtain open and grinned at her best friend. “Saying I like this is an understatement. I love this!”

Maya gasped in awe as she took Y/n's beauty. The dress fit her perfectly and made her look absolutely phenomenal.

“You need to get this dress! I'll pay for it.” Maya said.

“Oh, you don't need to do that. It's fine.” Y/n insisted.

“Are you kidding me? Y/n, this is a huge event in your life and I wanna help. Please let me pay?” Maya pouted her lips and put on a puppy dog expression that Y/n just couldn't say no to.

“Okay fine. But I'll pay you back.”

After Y/n got changed back into her regular clothes, Maya took the dress and paid for it. They both left the store feeling giddy as ever. 

When they left the store, they were met with the beautiful sight of a sunset. Pink and purples blended together with the bright oranges and pastel blues. It looked absolutely stunning and out of this world.

When they got settled in the car, Y/n opened Instagram and the first post she was immediately met with was an official guest list for The Rhythm of New York posted by MTV themselves.

“Maya! MTV released the guest list!” Y/n exclaimed loudly.

“Jeez girl, calm down.” Maya chuckled. 

“Sorry, this is just really important for me-”

“It's fine, don't worry. Let's take a look.”

Y/n moved her phone over so her and Maya could both see the screen. They both gasped and screamed with excitement as they scrolled down the list and read the names. Y/n's excitement soon turned into nervousness and fear when she read a certain name aloud.

Eminem.

“Eminem's coming to the event?” Y/n asked as her voice shook.

“Holy shit! He is! That's amazing, you love Eminem!” Maya exclaimed.

“Exactly. I don't think I can do this anymore.”

“What's wrong?”

“If I mess up, I'll mess in front of Eminem! Teenage me would never forgive myself. That man carried me through my high school years!”

“Y/n, come on. Don't say that, you're not gonna mess up, you're gonna wow everyone there.”

“I hope…”

The next week felt like a blur and it just felt like all of a sudden when Y/n found herself in the dressing room looking at herself in the mirror.

Tonight was the night she'd perform in front of a bunch of celebrities. Y/n nodded along to ‘Lose Yourself’ as it played through her headphones. She kept repeating the same line in her head over and over again: “You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.”

Y/n was interrupted by a voice calling her name. When she turned, she saw a tall man wearing glasses and a white wireless mic.

“You're up Y/n. You ready?” He asked.

She looked in the mirror one more time to make sure her hair and makeup looked flawless. She stood up and dusted off her purple dress then smiled at the man.

“I'm ready.”

The hall was full of different celebrities at their tables. Marshall and Hailie sat at the table in the back as they had their drinks.

“I still don't get how you drink sparkling water.” Hailie said. “It's disgusting.”

“It's not that bad. You're overreacting.” Marshall replied teasingly.

In that same moment, the announcer came onto stage with a bright smile on his face. “Good evening everyone!” He said. “Our first performer will come onto stage soon. Her name is Y/n Y/l/n and she's singing her own song tonight, A Melody from the Heart. Give it up for Y/n!”

“Ooh, an original song. That sounds good.” Hailie said, her voice full of excitement.

Marshall only hummed and nodded in agreement.

Y/n took a few deep breaths before she walked on stage and stood behind the mic. She could feel her heart picking up its pace and thumping out of her chest. Butterflies erupted in her stomach as it twisted and turned around in her body. Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead. 2 seconds had only gone by. Luckily, she couldn't see the audience because lights were dimmed down. The only lights in the room were the vibrant ones on the stage. She saw Marshall and Hailie sitting in the back and quickly looked away, not wanting her nervousness to ride even more.

Eventually, the song started to play and Y/n put herself together before she opened her mouth to sing. Her voice was gentle and pure as the beautiful melody poured from her lips. She sang her heart out and conveyed the mixture of deep emotions from the song to the audience.

Marshall was taken aback and watched in absolute awe as he watched Y/n. He didn't expect such an angelic and velvety voice. He could see her words painting a harmonious picture. He fell into a trance and the only thing he could do was just focus on the beauty of her voice. Not to mention that Marshall thought Y/n looked absolutely ravishing in that purple dress.

When the song ended, the audience erupted into a chorus of cheering and applause. Y/n smiled softly and bowed before leaving the stage. And as soon as she left the stage, Marshall had only one thought in his head:

“I need her on my next single.”

Right after Y/n left, the next performer was quickly called onto stage. She quickly ran over to someone else working there and asked if she could leave.

“Yeah, you can leave honey. Is everything okay?” The woman asked.

“Yeah, I just have a night shift I need to get too.” Y/n lied.

“Ooh, you're a very busy woman, huh? Well you can leave. Exit is through the back.”

Y/n thanked the lady before quickly darting through the back door. She quickly made her way to the front and at perfect timing, Maya pulled up in her car. She rolled down the window and smiled at her best friend gleefully.

“Girl, you were amazing!” Maya exclaimed.

“Did you see me on TV?” Y/n asked as she chuckled and got into the passenger seat.

“Of course I did! You killed it, and the lighting made you and that dress pop!”

“Thank you Maya!” Y/n wrapped her arms around her friend and held her closely.

Maya started driving away but it only took Y/n a few moments to realise that they weren't taking the correct route to her apartment.

“Where are we going?” Y/n asked.

“Oh, I left something at the diner, can we quickly go there so I can get it?” Maya asked.

“Yeah, that's fine. But isn't it closed? Do you have a key?” 

Maya nodded slowly and furrowed her eyebrows as she pressed her lips into a thin line. “Uhh, yeah.” She sounded unsure.

Y/n nodded and hummed in agreement as she felt suspicions rising.

When they reached the diner, Maya made Y/n get out of the car too. It took Y/n by surprise when Maya opened the door without the key. The lights were also turned on which caused Y/n to be even more confused. But as soon as she stepped inside, her co-workers came out from behind the counter and yelled: “SURPRISE!”

Daniel pulled the string of a confetti cannon making colourful bits of paper fly around everywhere.

“Dude, I told you not to use that!” Sam said.

“Chill, I'll clean it up. Don't worry.” Daniel replied dramatically.

“Oh my gosh! What is this?” Y/n asked.

“A surprise party!” Ali said as she revealed a chocolate cake and placed it on the counter.

“Oh you guys! You didn't have to.” 

“It was Maya's idea. She insisted.” Sam said.

Y/n hugged Maya tightly as she felt tears of happiness well up in her eyes. “Thank you Maya.”

Maya wrapped her arms around her friend and whispered. “Of course. You deserve it.”

They cut the cake and decided to watch the rest of the performance on the TV mounted on the wall.

“Were all of you guys in here watching me on the TV?” Y/n asked.

“Yeah, duh! And let me just say, you did great! Actually, that's an understatement. You did phenomenal! You should've seen the audience's faces.” Daniel said.

“Oh my goodness! Eminem's face. He looked like he was in love!” Maya said.

Everyone nodded and hummed in agreement as they ate their cake.

“Guys, that's crazy. Eminem is not like that. He's a very guarded person. That doesn't sound like him.” Y/n said.

“Okay, well whatever it was. He just looked amazed.” Sam said.

“Well, now I'm not gonna be able to sleep cause that's all I'm gonna be thinking about.” Y/n replied.

Everyone laughed and continued eating their cake as they watched the rest of the performance together.

During a break, everyone was allowed to get out of their seats and get some food and talk to others, including the people who performed.

Marshall quickly got out of his seat. He wanted to find Y/n and talk to her. He normally wouldn't do anything like this but this little voice in his head was telling him that she had so much potential in her.

He found a lady who worked there and approached her. “Uh, hey. Is uh, Y/n Y/l/n here?”

“Oh, I'm so sorry. She had to leave early. She had a night shift to get to.” The lady replied. 

“Oh, right. That's fine. Thank you.” 

He walked away, feeling slightly disappointed. Hailie was able to sense that when he approached her.

“Everything okay, dad?” She asked.

“Yeah, uh. You know that girl who first came out? Y/n Y/l/n.”

“Yeah, yeah. What about her?”

“Well, I'm not too sure yet but I kinda want her for a feature.” 

“You do? I told you you would. Should've placed a bet on it.” She muttered the last part quietly but still loud enough for her father to hear.

“Uh, no. Let's not do that.” Marshall replied. “But yeah. I guess you were right.”

“I'm sure if you search her name online you can find her socials.”

Marshall smiled subtly at his daughter and nodded. “Yeah.”

Rock on! 🎶🎵

After I walked around, took pictures and grabbed a gift from the Rickmobile, I decided to drive home. I'm not interested in watching the anime, so why stay for the screening?

I drove about ten minutes away, and I thought--nope, I'm going back. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Watching movies and TV shows is way more fun when you're in a crowd. I'm an MCU fan, so I know how it works.

Earlier that evening, people were parked in the chairs, ready for the show.

Adult Swim reminded them not to record the episode. "We shouldn't have to tell you this, but people suck."

It started raining on the drive back to the Rickmobile, but luckily, it didn't last long. Unfortunately, I arrived just in time to catch the last five minutes. Whoops.

But they announced that they'd air the episode again! I just had to kill thirty minutes.

I was hungry, so I bought a hot dog and homemade chips from a food truck. Adult Swim blasted their Spotify playlist--with ads. Apparently, they didn't want to spring for Spotify Premium.

The crowd slowly thinned out. The Rickmobile ran out of merchandise and closed up shop.

Weird, it looks like an ice cream truck in that first photo. 🍨

Morty managed to look even more terrified in the darkness. Someone helpfully illuminated his face with a spotlight.

Before the episode began, the crew played a track that I thought was a remix of the Rick and Morty theme song, but apparently, it's a track called Birth4000 by Floating Points.

And then it was showtime!

Before the episode, Adult Swim played another reminder that this preview was "just between us" and that piracy is bad. And they weren't joking--a guy standing next to me got caught recording the episode and had to leave after deleting the video from his phone.

The episode itself was OK. I enjoyed the art, animation and theme song, but the story was hard to follow. Summer was a badass, though. I also loved getting a glimpse of the Rick with long hair. I'll admit it: I'm biased because my OC is a fellow long-haired Rick.

Thinking about it now, I wonder how many people in the crowd also had OCs or roleplayed, wrote fics, made fan art, etc. It's easy to forget that even a lot of diehard fans don't take that route. We're our own little community inside a giant fanbase.

I hope I can attend another event like this in the future. It's one thing to spot thousands of Rick and Morty fans on Twitter or Reddit, but to see how many people love the show in person? And that's just a tiny fraction of its viewership.

And I just wanna say, your ask is the final push for me to actually scour through most of my songs on Spotify and finish assembling playlists for Rin, Santana, Skylar, and Jackal 😆 But I had so much fun doing so and I'll keep adding more and updating all of the characters' playlists as I discovered more new (and old lost) songs that fit them.

I have the links to their spotify playlist which contain a mix of their favorite songs and some songs whose lyrics fit them. I don't think I can link too much stuff in one post unfortunately, so I'll make a separate post to announce the rest of the characters playlists later on 😁But I'll try to link one song that either perfectly encapsulate their music taste or whose lyrics fit the character--or at least a song that they'd enjoy listening to.

Also, I basically have to split up my own music taste and favorite genres among all of my characters and I'm running out of genres 😭 But as for your question, I don't think I've answered something like that before--at least not in detail.

Ash enjoys quite a wide variety of genres, but mostly, their go-to are genres that are more energetic and/or aggressive. So, think like Rock, Phonk, Dubstep, Trap, Drum and Bass, Metal, that kind of stuff. But usually, they listen to songs whose vibes and/or lyrics kind of fit the mood they're in at the moment.

Also, fun fact, they did have some kind of an emo phase during their angsty and edgy teenage years 😂 It wasn't really too apparent (like no, they didn't have that typical emo hairstyle or wore those iconic eyeliners), but they just relate to quite a number of the lyrics of songs that can be considered to be emo anthems.

The song that fits the genre they like to listen to and the lyrics also matched their feelings and obsession love for MC is "So Sick" by Johnny Goth.

As the child of a classically-trained musician, Rin mostly enjoys classical and instrumental music. One of their favorite instruments is the piano and they used to enjoy learning to play it. Maybe in the future, when they won't be so busy anymore, they can pick up their piano lessen again...

Also, they tend to gravitate towards more soothing and calming songs in general because of the headaches they usually got after using their power too much or to see to far into the future. So most of their playlist is filled with instrumental songs, either piano, cello, or violin, or a combination of those.

As for the song that fits them, I'd say "The Belt of Faith" by Jung Jaeil kinda fits their vibe and the gravitas they carry (Yes, the main soundtrack for the film "Parasite" and yeah, I can see the irony 😂 )

This originally started out with me just wanting to draw Beanie interacting with the Intertwined Codes Kids but then I added some extra stuff lol.

If you're a reader of Intertwined Codes, this kinda sorta spoils future stuff bc only the twins have been mentioned in the Draft/Teaser fic but oh well. You have been warned.

IC!Uzi wouldn't like actually meet GD!N bc they'd kinda decide that "hey, let's not have the widowed man see an alternate version of his wife that actually got live." simply out of respect kinda?? So she would stick around at home with the kids whilst IC!N goes out to look for Beanies Dad after their kids drag her to them lmao.

So yeah she doesn't necessarily know the extent of the mans depression, the kids just mentioned there only being a dad so she just specifically asks about GD!N in this doodle

IC!N would quickly pick up on GD!N not being completely okay, even without being told any details. So he probably would end up sitting him down to talk on their way back to the IC!Doorman families place, wanting to help if he can in any way. (He runs a Daycare and tries to also be a support to any parent that needs it, so I feel he out of habit would lean into trying to do that with GD!N)

Not much to say, I'm still working out their personality - they're maybe 2-3 years older than Beanie, so they aren't too far apart in age. :)

Orita:

She's the sibling who started the trend of putting stickers on her siblings, so she DEFINITELY would do the same with Beanie.

She also probably originally was going to show her how to build a weapon, but her parents promptly stopped that lmao .

She would think it's really cool that Beanie has a custom core icon & in general is completely customized from the start! She herself was originally put into a regular worker body (just with the tail and headband being custom made by her mom), she had to build the DD forearms herself. She also has a sticker of the DD icon on her core, covering the WD icon :3

Rexim:

At this point he has enough siblings to be past the "ew a little kid" phase, so luckily Beanie gets spared that. His main camera is damaged, he only really uses his headband optics to look around, so he would kinda just look as if he's staring past her a lot. But bc of the obvious cracks in his visor I feel she would pick up on the fact he's not actually ignoring her.

First up THANK YOU Zeisty for helping me brainstorm silly stuff for them. They're a little ball of chaos now and I love them.

Anyways.

They would join Orita in bedazzling Beanie, and then they'd start talking about bird facts and also try to get Beanie to talk about her interests.

(Their height difference isnt 100% accurate bc halfway through drawing this I changed the IC timeline, making Raven about the same age as Zagi instead of them being a teen, so I kinda had to manually try and semi-fit their heights lol)

Nothing to say. He's a baby. Tho whilst I was outlining this one I had to giggle because of how big he is in Beanies hands. She's so tiny 😭💕 /affectionate

Oh boy. Ann.

Annika is the eldest kid & was adopted a while before Zagi was coded / whilst the parents were organizing the code copies for Zagi

She does NOT know how to talk to other kids. Never did. It made her stick out at the orphanage wing because she just avoided everyone. And it is very chaotic when Olivia and Ray first show up, because Ann's only idea of talking to other Drones is "well you got to be relatable" so she brings up the siblings dead parents bc like, her code parents are dead too. Both pairs dying to DDs. So yeah she probably would be the first, if not only one, in the whole household to just bring up GD!Uzi. She would do it like it's nothing either.

IC!Uzi would promptly get her to stop and sit her down having a conversation about "what did N and I say about trying to connect on that topic?"

Like IC!Uzi would actually feel really bad about it despite Beanie not knowing her mom. Bc she herself obviously didn't remember IC!Nori growing up but still didn't like the topic.

Olivia:

Olivia, as I said, was greeted with the topic of dead parents by Annika as well. So she probably would kinda interfere when IC!Uzi goes to sit Ann down to talk.

She would feel the need to apologize for the older girls behavior (which Ann would apologize for herself later too ofc) and would try to get Beanie to go play something together whilst IC!Uzi sorts that whole situation out.

She's also the closest to Beanies age probably, just was forced to mature bc of what happened to her parents, despite being taken in by Nuzi shortly after. She still obviously acts like a kid tho when comfortable, so I feel she would kinda ease up around Beanie and actually act more like a 4-5 year old around her.

Bonus? Bonus!

Needless to say Beanie would return home covered in stickers & hairpins (Orita & Raven have more than enough of those, they'd just let Beanie keep some)

Also, for the "*humming*" variation of the picture I blame @k1k0oftheworld. Kiko was in vc with me when I was talking about how Beanie would be covered in stickers when she gets home, and saw the doodles as well.

Mouse rolled over in bed, hand reaching out in search of you. When he only found empty bed he sat up and glanced at the time to see it was a little before two in the morning. He could hear music drifting in from the living room and knew where you were.

He threw the blanket off and swung his legs out of the bed. Why hadn't you woke him up if you couldn't sleep? You knew he didn't mind.

He opened the bedroom door and a smile slipped onto his face at the sight that awaited him. You had long since added a string of fairy lights to the kitchen, saying that the overhead one was too bright some nights.

Now you were sitting on the counter, illuminated by those lights, one leg folded at the knee next to you while the other hung loose. Your hair was down around your shoulders, the camisole and shorts you wore to bed a bright contrast against the shadows. The sweet scent of whatever you were baking hit his nose along with the sound of you singing along lightly with the music playing from your phone.

“Did I wake you up baby?” You asked, glancing up from where you were writing something in a notebook. He shook his head “You weren't in bed, that's what woke me up”

You smiled, sitting the notebook aside and reaching a hand out towards him. He walked over, stepping between your legs and grinned when you scooted to the edge of the counter to wrap them around his waist. “Well how about as soon as those cookies get done you take me back to bed and see about putting me to sleep?”

He leaned down to press a kiss against your lips “I think I can manage that”

You laid across Mouse's chest, his fingers tracing over the scars he knew all too well on your upper back. You hadn't been sleeping too well the last couple weeks and most of the time he felt when you slipped out of bed but every now and then you'd sneak out.

He knew how to calm your mind, from sex to talking. He was there. For whatever you needed. You owned his heart, soul, everything he had was yours. You were currently tapping your fingers across his chest to the rhythm of some song “What's going on in that head gorgeous?”

You smiled “Just thankful you're here. I love you Greg” “I love you too” he replied and you reached up to brush his hair back from his forehead “I hope I never have to face a day without you” “You won't love, not if I can help it” he promised.

It was Adam and Kim's wedding. “About time” as you'd muttered more than once in the evening. Mouse walked through the reception with his arm around your waist.

Kim's grandfather was dancing with her niece and you looked over your shoulder at him with a smile “That's gonna be you one day, dancing with one of our great grandkids”

He gripped your hip gently, he adored when you talked like that. Planning for the future, wanting to be with him that long. It meant everything to him.

You nodded “and like her grandmother I'll die first. I'm not having to face going on without you” he shook his head “Don't talk like that. I don't want to think about you dying, even seventy years from now”

You laughed and pulled him into a kiss “I'm sorry Greg. I love you” he smiled against your lips “I love you too sweetheart”

Mouse hated this part of the job. He hated being in the surveillance van while you went in. He knew you had your until backing you.

He listened to you all breach, the conversation across the coms changing from you all checking with each other to yelling at the patrolmen where to be waiting.

Automatic gunfire filled the air and his heart stopped waiting to hear everyone checked in. One by one you did until only you and Kim remained. “OFFICER DOWN. ROLL AN AMBULANCE NOW” Kim's voice shook.

He was out of the van and running without another thought.

Voight and Jay tried to stop him, Adam shoved them both to let him through. “It's bad. He deserves to see her”

He ran to your side, kneeling next to Kim who was trying to keep pressure to the spot where bullets had torn through your collarbone. “Greg..” your voice sounded so weak.

“Hey baby” he whispered, taking your hand and saw the tears in Kim's eyes when she shook her head. He heard Voight yelling across the radio to hurry the ambulance up and get it an escort but you were losing too much blood too fast.

“Told ya I'd die first” you whispered, a pained smile slipping onto your face. “Baby you're not dying” he promised, trying to fight back tears but feeling them falling down his face. “I love you” you managed to get out before your eyelids fluttered closed.

Kim reached for your pulse, then moved to start cpr. He was frozen in place. He couldn't make his body move to help, move to do anything. You were gone. His life was gone.

Greg walked into his apartment alone after your funeral. Everyone in Chicago it seemed had come out in full force to celebrate you. He'd never gotten to give you the ring he bought you so he'd given it to you in the casket, a final declaration of his love.

The fairy lights in the kitchen still glowed, the TV on from the last movie you'd watched. As if everything was holding its breath waiting for you to return.

He walked into the kitchen and spotted your notebook on the counter. He'd never looked in it before but you were always writing in it. He picked it up and flipped open to the first page.

In your handwriting was written “Greg if you're reading this I better be dead. Seriously baby if not put this down and walk away. Now! On the other hand if I am dead I want you to read this, I know you. I know if I'm gone and you're not that you're falling into that hole. You're blaming yourself for not dying with me. I love you with my entire heart and if I'm eighty or thirty as long as I loved you until the end know I died happy. I wouldn't want to go last, i need you to keep living. Live for me, for us. Any time you need a reminder of me pick this up. There's letters, stories and just little notes to remind you of what you mean to me. I'm sorry I'm gone but not sorry I loved you, not sorry you're still there. Love you forever until we meet again”

Cody wondered if, in another life, he would've been a party planner. Maybe it was the excitement of getting everything organized for your birthday party, or how all the perfectly coordinated decorations made him strangely giddy. The joy he got from visiting the local party supply store was a strange but not unwelcome new sensation that made him laugh all the same. No matter what his alternate universe self could be, where he was now was making him happy.

Ever since Cody had fallen in love with you, he had wanted to take care of you. Not in an infantilizing way, but a spoiling-you-with-the-best-stuff kind of way. It was true that he wrestled because he loved the sport and wanted to build his reputation and honor his family, but the money he earned gave him the chance to give you the life he knew you deserved. That was evident in the way that he just burst with happiness when you both bought your first house together and said "I do."

So giving you quite literally the most extra birthday celebration possible was kind of a no-brainer. You were onto him, mostly because he was an awful liar and it was impossible for him to hide his smile around you. But you also weren't aware of the true extent of the situation, and he wanted to keep it that way until the last minute.

"What are you up to..?" You had asked suspiciously with a big grin as Cody shuffled you out of the house. He had made sure your friends, who were all in on the surprise party, were able to keep you occupied for a few hours while everything got set up. Cody chuckled sweetly, leaning forward to kiss you before he opened the front door with a gentlemanly air.

"Me? Up to something? Babe, I would never! I'm an upstanding man, I'll have you know." He feigned incredulousness, placing his hand to his chest for added effect. "I just thought it'd be fun for you to hang out with your friends a bit on your birthday! Plus, I heard there may or may not be a bottomless brunch in your immediate future if you go with them..." He said with a sing-song lilt, gently urging you forward to where your best friend and a few others stood waiting. Cody still held your hand, though, up until the last minute.

"Alright, alright, you had me at bottomless brunch. Damn you!" You laughed, kissing him on the cheek with a big grin. "See you later, then?"

"Before you know it!" And with that, it was time for Cody to get to work.

Everything had already been planned for months, and now it was just a matter of getting everything set up. Oh, and making sure that all the guests made it on time plus the caterers and the-- Okay, he needed to breathe. Everything was gonna be fine! Cody was nothing if not a stickler for detail, and everything was about as planned as it could possibly be. So he took a minute to gather himself before heading to the bedroom to change. Of course he was gonna wear something snazzy for your special day!

Cody spent the rest of the next couple crucial hours decorating. While he could've easily hired someone to do all this without him even needing to lift a finger, he thought it was more important that he do it himself to show how much you mean to him. That meant he busied himself putting up streamers, blowing up what felt like a 1000 balloons, setting up tables, you name it. By the time all the setting up was said and done, your house and backyard was bursting with your favorite color.

An hour before you were due to return home, all of your friends and loved ones began to pour into your home. Everyone you could possibly want at your birthday party was here, eager to see you and your husband! They marveled at the impressive spread of decorations and food (which was a generous smattering of all of your favorites) in your honor, including the very cute photo of you that Cody had gotten printed as a centerpiece for the whole celebration.

It was only a moment longer before you returned home to find your backyard lit up and the sounds of a roaring crowd calling you inside. Maybe you had expected just a small get together with your closest friends and family, or maybe even just an intimate dinner with your husband. But an entire party?! Yeah, he was so extra~

Cody was the first to welcome you back, of course, practically sprinting over to you to pick you up and swing you around in his arms. Pharaoh hung close to your feet and barked excitedly, clearly enjoying all the attention he was getting from the guests too.

"Welcome home, y/n! Whaddya think?" He asked, clearly hoping with every ounce of his being that you were happy. "You know me, I get a little carried away when it comes to you. You mean the world to me, and I wanted to show you." The cheerful crowd of your favorite people behind him was painted beautifully like a dreamy backdrop.

Without hesitation, you answered. "I love it, and I love you. Though I think you might spoil me a little too much," you chuckled, pulling him in closer with a gentle kiss (with him looking as good as he did, how could you resist?!) "How am I supposed to keep my ego in check when my husband plasters up a giant photo of me at my surprise birthday party?!"

"Who said you should keep it in check? I don't see anything wrong with knowing how amazing you are," he beamed. Reaching forward he grabbed your hand and tugged you further into the party, never straying too far from you. "Besides, just wait 'till you see the pile of presents."

First of all, there's a couple on Dreamwidth that I signed up for a few years ago and are still ongoing right now:

Tic Tac Woe - This one is a 3x3 bingo with a focus on apocalypses. Multifandom. No posting deadline.

Gen Prompt Bingo - 5x5 bingo with gen-style prompts, so no specific focus on romance or sex. A new round (with renewed prompt list) begins every April and December. Multifandom. Technically you should try to finish a card in the round you signed up for, but you can keep working on it and post it to the corresponding collection even after the round is over, and you don't need to finish a previous card to sign up for a new one.

Tarot Bingo - This one isn't on Dreamwidth but I'll slip it in here anyway. Like it's name, it's basically a bingo made up of tarot cards. It's on hiatus at the moment but you can check back at a later date. Multifandom, no posting deadline.

For the ones on Tumblr, there are quite a few more:

@fandombingo - Advertising my own bingo first lolol. You can sign up for a 5x5 bingo for a specific fandom or crossover of your choice. This one has no posting deadline, you can sign up anytime and post anytime. Recently, I also added mini-bingos to the line up, with prompts drawn from a specific fandom of my choice, but you can use the prompts for any fandom you want. Mini-bingos run when I have time, but so far, I've managed to stick to a monthly schedule, so signups for each one opens on the 5th of every month. Also no posting deadline.

@badthingshappenbingo - 5x5 bingo with a focus on dark/angst/whump prompts. Multifandom. No posting deadline.

@anyfandomgoesbingo - This one has a whole bunch under its umbrella - angst, AU, dark, fluff, kink, etc. You can get a 5x5 card for any (or all) of them. Multifandom. No posting deadline.

@julybreakbingo - This one has so many prompts it's insane. JBB runs only in the month of July (signups are currently open but end July 7th this year!), but they have a Post-July Break Bingo that starts after July is over and runs until next May-ish, and Pre-July Break Bingo starts May/June-ish until the end of July. They might also host a couple other events throughout the year so you can keep an eye out for that. They have various card sizes you can choose from, and it's multifandom.

@sweetspicybingo - Sweet & Spicy Bingo has hosted several bingos so far, they tend to be a couple months long each time. At the moment, their latest Hurt/Comfort Bingo has closed, but they'll probably come back soon with something new. Multifandom. @multifandom-flash - This one also hosts multiple bingos, and all of them are open indefinitely. They have calendar events (bingo based on the month) but also other random ones (soulmates, fear, Marvel, etc.). Card sizes vary. No posting deadline. Most are multifandom, some are fandom-specific.

So, I have no idea about Game of Thrones, I have no idea about House of the Dragon, and even less about A Song of Ice and Fire, but I desperately need a Fairy Tail reincarnating in Westeros fanfiction.

Which is a very silly thing, because Fairy Tail is everything that George RR Martin's works are not, and by that I mean the power of the script and of friendship in all its splendor.

Make no mistake, I love Fairy Tail and everything related to it, but even I have to admit that Fairy Tail and A Song of Ice and Fire are complete opposites. My Fairy Tail babies would give them something if they had to spend too much time in Westeros and that's something we can all agree on.

But all that aside, I'd really like to see something like that, and since no one has done it, I'll write down the general idea and quickly forget about it to move on.

So, from what I understand a lot of the shit that happens in Game of Thrones originates from everything that happened in House of the Dragon, and I'm really indifferent to Rhaenyra, and I don't give a damn about Alicent, Viserys and Daemon, for that matter. what they will be demolished by my brain bugs and cast aside. When the Dance of Dragons happened and the entire war almost took out the entire family, ruining many lives in the process, so that in the end Rhaenyra's son who took the throne was basically left with the worst part: half the family dead, a stupidly uncomfortable throne, equally stupid children, dragons finally becoming extinct, and a pitch-black future for the rest of the nation. It's screwed, but everything in Westeros is screwed, so to fix it my babies will arrive to spread love and affection until everyone vomits rainbows out of their asses.

Although it's not that I don't feel sorry for Rhaenyra and also for Rhaenys, because what happened to them was screwed, but they will be sacrifices for this, and by the time the little tyrant king that I will put up takes the throne, all the girls of the seven kingdoms will be empowered, just wait.

Suppose the gods of Planetos saw the future shit crashing into the fan and said "Shit, we're all screwed," so they decided to bring in the purest, noblest, most destructive souls in the entire cosmos to fix it for them, and they had It had to be early, so that the disasters to come could be corrected.

So here we go, and with shipper glasses, to spread the crumbs that Mashima denies us:

Natsu Dragneel dies at an advanced age without remorse or sorrow, he married the love of his life, an incredible woman, he had children, he had grandchildren and lived to meet his great-grandchildren, he belonged to an incredible guild and has even more incredible friends and companions. He died a satisfied man... and then he wakes up again to a pretty fucked up world, but hopefully he's not alone.

Nataerys Targaryen is born with great vigor and even greater lung strength, his newborn cries pierce the ears of everyone in a radius of an entire palace and his movements are strong even when he is barely minutes old, he is everything a father could wish. Thus, on a hot summer day in the year 82 AD, the son Aemon Targaryen and his wife Jocelyn Baratheon are born.

Although luckily for Natsu, and for Westeros itself, he is not the heir to his grandfather's throne, as most might think, no. That dubious honor belongs to his five years older brother, Zaeferon.

Zeref Dragneel, after causing a war and attempting an invasion all for the sake of destroying space-time and finally dying, was unexpectedly able to partially fulfill his wish (the most important part, in fact) thanks to the power of love and most impressive woman he knows. But it seems that whatever god cursed him still wanted to continue chewing him like the cosmic toy that he is and let him be reincarnated in a shitty world, where he has become the heir to the throne of an even worse country, and a family to boot where they marry relatives as close as sibligs, and my god, he has an older sister.

But not everything is as bad as it seems, he recognizes the face of one of his aunts and for a while, he and Lucy use their time to keep each other company, read and research about this lost Valyrian magic and comfort each other so that if all else fails and in the end they are the only ones here, then they can marry each other and live the rest of their days among books in peace.

Luckily, that only lasts until on a day so hot the rocks melt, Natsu arrives into this world making a scandal that stirs up the entire Red Keep and they are able to completely ditch the backup plan when Zaeferon again recognizes a face among them his cousins.

Moving forward with family introductions, Lucy Heartfilia is born three years after Zeref as Luciaenya Targaryen as the last and youngest of the daughters of King Jaehaerys Targaryen and his sister-wife Alysanne, and the younger twin sister of Gael Targaryen. Lucy attempts to complete the first rites of a baby's life at top speed and spends the next two years of her life with her chubby little arm wrapped around Zaeferon's, swearing that she'd rather marry him than any of her other siblings or nephews. Therefore, the noisy arrival of her husband from another life at the palace is the breath of fresh air she needs to relax and refresh her brain.

With this in mind, her next steps are how to manipulate her parents to allow her to marry her nephew two years younger, and how to get her beautiful and sweet Gael a husband who will treasure her, care for her and protect her, and most importantly , to get her out of this den of vipers that is her new home. Later she will think about how to help Zaeferon accumulate power to put his ass on that stupid throne and take over the place, with the future goal of empowering all the women in the country. Never let it be said that Zeref does not respect the opposite gender.

The last reborn within the royal family also turned out to be the person Zeref wanted to see the most, luckily for him.

Mavis Vermillion, passing away peacefully after helping the love of her life fulfill their mutual wish to finally rest in peace, and with hopes placed on her children to protect the guild, is reborn as the daughter of two siblings, Baelon and Alyssa Targaryen and being the older twin sister of Aegon Targaryen. However, as in another time, Princess Alyssa died six months after a difficult birth and her twin Aegon died before his first year, so Maevys Targaryen became the beloved little princess of her father Baelon and his sons Viserys and Daemon Targaryen.

After the initial panic of discovering that she could be forced to marry any of her older brothers, Maevys joined Luciaenya to help her in her family manipulation plans and somehow get her sometimes not very well-liked grandfather to allow her to marry his heir, and Maevys is nothing if not smart, so she'll pull it off somehow. This time she will walk down the aisle with Zeref, whether the gods want it or not.

With the mere arrival of the four to the royal family things are already changing, the seven kingdoms will shake when Lucy and Mavis finally put Zeref's lazy ass on the Iron Throne.

Other reincarnates include Gaery Stark, grandson of Alaric Stark and current lord of Winterfell known for his Skinchanger ability; his wife Julianne Tully, a half-Dornish whose maternal grandmother belonged to the Orphans of the Greenblood; Erza Connington, the first female knight in the history of the Seven Kingdoms, whose mother is the first female Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and daughter of Aerea Targaryen, Irene Connington; Gerard Arryn, stepson of Daella Targaryen and older brother of Aemma Arryn; Wendeline Royce, a young but prodigious healer who calls herself a doctor, and is one of Maevys Targaryen's ladies-in-waiting; Garrett Umber and his wife Levina Reed, who are in the service of Gaery Stark, of whom Garrett is a cousin on his mother's side; Laxion Lannister, whose grandfather Marrek Lannister married Vaella Targaryen, younger sister of Jaehaerys Targaryen, who is always accompanied by Fredegar Westerling, Bilrentheus Banefort and Everwood Serrett; and Laxion's wife, Maenora Velaryon, daughter of Victor Velaryon and Marybel Massey, who is the older sister of Saelora, Elaerion, Laenyra and Vaenyra Velaryon, who are equally reincarnated.

With this in mind, Fairy Tail has been given enough political power to destroy a continent and can only pray that there is some left after Zeref Dragneel is named king.

You met Ellie’s gaze, as you thought about answering the question. A grin started to form on Ellie’s plush lips as she stared telling the story:

It was Ellie’s idea. She would’ve never come to you if she wasn’t desperate.

Ellie and Cat.  An unlikely duo. Nobody expected the two of them to start dating but they did. They were together for almost a year. Everyone thought they had the perfect relationship but behind closed doors it was hell. They argued, they lied to each other, they said hurtful things, and they both manipulated each other.

 At some point Ellie had enough and she left Cat. No matter how much it hurt her, she left. She wasn’t going to force herself to stay in a relationship that only brought her pain.

Cat didn’t make things easy for Ellie after the break up.

She would show up at Ellie’s house, she would lie to people saying they never broke up, she always went where Ellie went. She was borderline obsessed with Ellie.

In the beginning she could handle Cat. She could ignore Cat’s advances. But the longer her and cat stayed broken up the more obsessive Cat grew. Ellie didn’t know which was worse, being in a relationship with Cat or being broken up with her.

 And that’s when Joel suggested Ellie gets with someone else. Joel’s exact words were “maybe is she sees you with someone else she’ll leave you alone kiddo. It’s worth a shot”

She tried. God knows she did

Ellie went to the club that night, and just as she was about to leave with a girl Cat came around the corner.

“Babe where have you been?” she asked with a sickening smirk on her face. The pretty girl next to Ellie gasped at Cat’s words.

“You didn’t tell you had a girlfriend” she practically screamed.

“I swear she’s not my girlfriend-“ Ellie tried to explain. Her explanation didn’t go far before the girl slapped Ellie across the face. Walking away she yelled: “you are fucking disgusting”

 Ellie’s face reddened with embarrassment at what just happened, her eyes met with Cats: “did you miss me?” she asked a smug smile on her face.

At this rate Ellie would never find a girlfriend.

She spread rumors, messaged you countless times and tried lying to you about Ellie. She tried. And none of her ideas ever fucking worked.

You would never admit it out loud but you found it quite funny when you and Ellie made an appearance and Cat had to leave the room to “get some air”.

It was all fun and games till you realized that you actually caught feeling for her. You broke one of the rules, and the longer you were with Ellie the worse your crush got. You knew the two of you dating was fake but god it felt so real.

The way Ellie looked at you made you think that maybe someday she would feel the same.

You got a text from Ellie saying: come over we need to talk

Tonight was the night Ellie was ending things.

You knew things were coming to an end, but you wish it didn’t have to happen so soon. Your hands were shaking as you sat in Ellie’s living room.

 “What do you mean-“  you started before you felt Ellie’s lips on yours. The kiss was magical. It felt like you were floating. Ellie’s lips were soft and her touch was intoxicating. She pulled away as the two of you breathed heavily.

 “God I’ve wanted to do that since I started fake dating you” she said breathless.

You hummed agreeing with her statement. She leaned her forehead against yours.

“Do you want to go on a date?” Ellie asked nervously “like a real date”

You looked at her, with a small smile on your face: “I’d like that” as you brought her lips down for another kiss.

“That’s so fucking cliché” Dina snickered as Ellie finished telling the story.

“Heyyy” Ellie whined “it’s a cool story” she said, as she threw her arm over your shoulder you felt her lips press a gentle kiss to your temple “i’m going to tell this story to our kids one day” Ellie whispered into your ear.

A smile spread onto your lips at Ellie’s confession.

Yeah you might have gotten together to get rid of her psycho ex but if you never did, you wouldn’t have fallen in love with the girl of your dreams.

Kalina Playlist Deep-dive

I picture this as Kalina describing the fall of the Unnamed Goddess into the Nightmare King. A goddess of dreaming and doubt till she lost her mind, and her persona. Turned her forest into this idealization of what the Nightmare King represents.

Queen

Kalina's persona is this person manipulating everything in the background and several steps ahead of everyone. Also how the Bad Kids originally assumed she stole the crown to control the Nightmare King and be in power.

GRRRLS

Kalina's ideology is about taking control to bring back the Nightmare King by any means necessary. Not wanting people to look too closely into her.

It's like how Kalina always gives options when speaking to the Bad Kids, especially Riz. Also how each option and the tone get more threatening overtime. Also "They took a lesson from their fathers" connects to Riz and how she killed Pok.

The Mind Electric

I honestly don't remember why I added this? Vibes? Maybe it's another example of her trying to control Riz and the Bad Kids, taunting them and making them face their fears? Yeah, that's it, why not?

Achilles Come Down

Goes against my Kristen Playlist which has this same song. This is Kalina and Kristen deciding what Cassandra is going to be in FHSY. Kalina is the deeper voice and Kristen is the kinder one.

Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra and more religious imagery for her connection to Cassandra. Plus the line "Time capsule for the future, trust me that is what I'll be" is how she lives on for the Unnamed Goddess as the plague for her to live. Also "Oh the things that you do in the name of what you love, you were doomed but just enough" is her talking about how her goddess was doomed by her followers, the people who loved her. Also, the second section of the song says "Got a few more fake friends" showing her connections over the years she keeps at arm's distance like Pok Gukgak.

I picture this as Kalina singing to the Bad Kids, willing to show them mercy as long as they back off this case.

I see this as her talking to Riz because she is still close to him. She's his godmother, she wants to see him grow strong but it's not the best advice.

Kalina is literally a plague, what can I say? Just kidding, it's that and all the religious imagery. The loyalty to the person is like Kalina's loyalty to Cassandra in all her forms. Plus I love Madds Buckley so much. <3

Kalina's abilities appear and disappear, along with taunting the Bad Kids and messing with them on their journey. Her confidence, knowing they hate her and why right before the bridge. Plus during the Bridge where the artist says "Why don't you just leave me alone" I see Riz and other Bad Kids begging her to stop with this, stop messing with them.

It Took Me By Suprise

Her being is surprised that the BKs didn't back off, especially Riz after taunting him and seeing the anger in their eyes... thats it...

That Unwanted Animal

How I picture Kalina sees herself. She cares for Cassandra in every form and tries her best to take care of her. When the "Unnamed Goddess" sacrifices herself to be the Nightmare King, Kalina becomes the "Unwanted Animal".

Little Big Boy

Specifically for Fabian, when she makes him stab the Hangman and jump into the ocean.

Final boss music and the end describes the battlefield of "Spring Break I Believe in You" where there is no light coming through the forest, the stairs and ruins where the battle is old and decrepit. "When they do I'll be right beside you, so glad we almost made it" is her speaking to herself/the Nightmare King as she brings them back to life.

Panic Room

Another song about the Nightmare King's Forest and how Kalina and the Nightmare King shaped the forest to have the deepest fears of the Bad Kids.
