we’re nearly into 2023 and this man is still doing press for a show that killed him off nearly six months later, yeah keep trying to chug that ‘Eddie’s not coming back’ train because I don’t fucking believe it for a second

you know I’ve seen some people musing about this recently and I would like to add my thoughts on it:
Caitlyn Kiramman is like the epitome of that meme about how girls actually play with their barbies. like, you expect her to be Normal and Not Like That and then you watch her commit crimes for six episodes.
one part of her character that means a lot to me is just how committed she is to completely ignoring any authority that she can, and it makes sense! she’s been kept on an incredibly short leash for most of her life, her parents have enough influence to control parts of her life even as an adult, and my girl is probably pretty tired of that!
and like, yes, she’s righteous and good and just and kind and whatever but I think people should remember that her goodness is not her whole character.
it is also her wonderful urge to be just a little insane. Sure, she’ll impersonate an officer, forge official documents, and break someone out of prison. she’ll trade her weapon for drugs, she’ll flirt with a girl in a brothel, she’ll tell her mom to her face that she thinks her mom isn’t doing enough with her power WHILE getting shrapnel removed from her leg.
all this to say: I enjoy watching her buck authority and I wish people in this fandom would stop pretending she’s a pure little goody two shoes just cause she wants to help people. she is also Feral. please let her be Feral.

hey so guess what. i’m a switch and i love stone femmes. i love pillow princesses. i fucking LOVE it when i get to derive so much pleasure by fucking someone until they can barely breathe or even stand. it is a privilege to experience that. if someone has anything to say about stone identities they can talk to ME because i find it cringey as fuck when someone decides it’s “selfish.” like??? sorry you don’t understand boundaries lmao. i’m gonna go eat some stone princess pussy and fill it up with my strap. get well soon i guess??

i seriously need more narumi and mina moments because just imagine the relief mina felt when narumi joined, similar age to her and was also considered a prodigy in the force.
to have someone to share the burden of the defence force’s future with must’ve felt so freeing. because before he joined it was just her, age 18, being told that she was going to change kaiju extermination with her exceptional synergy with firearms. and she was so, so scared.
narumi doesn’t have the kind of skills or talent for long range combat like she does, but he’s also a top candidate (despite his behavioural issues- which aren’t much of a hinderance anyway) and mina doesn’t have to carry the burden of the future alone anymore
(although she’d never admit, given she probably views narumi as someone completely shocking i just think it’s so funny how she stood there like O_O when she first saw him)
like i LOVE seeing the contrast. mina who was sent onto the battlefield for the first time and was deathly afraid vs narumi who was sent out and immediately took action because that’s how he always lived (fighting)
and now they’re the top two strongest captains in the force and they will be the ones to lead the new generation..

something that really pisses me off is this headcanon that ice would have been or was against mav pulling bradley’s papers for the academy.
like i’m sorry but I need some of you to think for a second. this is a man whose jet wash indirectly also led to the accident that resulted in goose’s death and probably carried that guilt for half his life too. this is also the man who was there to watch mav and carole grieve for the brother/husband they lost for YEARS. not to mention he was close to goose as well since they were both at the academy. like he would have wanted to protect bradley just as much as mav did when he made the decision to pull the papers. it’s a dumb moment for both of them but again. 100% they would have both thought they were doing the right thing for bradley.

My most controversial DC opinion that you cannot make me budge on is if you don’t understand Dick Grayson you cannot on a very fundamental level understand Bruce, Jason, Tim, or Damian and if your understanding of him is flawed? Or rooted in fanon? Your understanding of them is too.

This is totally just about my personal life and I can’t necessarily generalize it, but I do feel like I’m encountering a certain sort of insecure standoffish behavior more and more in people my age and it’s really bugging me.
So many people I know approach new acquaintances and social situations with this attitude of “Well, they probably won’t like me anyway, so I won’t even try,” which I find both really juvenile and really unkind. And don’t get me wrong, I do think there’s a time and a place for not caring what people think of you, but when it comes to your attitude and the way you treat other people, you absolutely SHOULD care what they think. You SHOULD want people to like you, or at least not actively hate you, and assuming that everyone you meet is the type of person who won’t is frankly pretty mean. Obviously not everyone is going to like you or want to be your friend, but that doesn’t mean you get to enter every potential relationship like an antisocial ghoul and then be mad that you have no friends? Make this make sense.
It goes hand in hand with this super annoying deal where people throw all their energy into resisting whatever’s popular for the sake of being interesting, failing to realize that not only are they unoriginal but they’re a complete bummer to be around as well. I really assumed we’d all grown out of this, but I’m well into my twenties and encountering people relatively frequently who cannot stand to have anyone think of them as “basic” or “like the rest” or what have you, and I can’t help but wonder if they’re happy with themselves. It’s so corny to say, but the most interesting people are those who like what they like, wear what they want, etc without feeling like they need to justify it to everyone. Nobody is paying close enough attention to you to judge you for half the shit you’re convinced you’re being judged for, I promise.
